(B) INTRODUCTION
###############################################################################

This game is actually the Japanese version of a game known as Panic Restaurant
in the U.S. The structure of the stages, enemies and bosses are identical in
the two games. However the main character is a kid in this game and an old man
in the other version. A couple of attacks and weapons have changed as well and
this game is much easier than the other version due to different item
placement.

The controls for this game are as follows:

dpad - Walk left/right.

A - Jump.
B - Use your weapon.

Select - Not used.
Start - Pause the game.

Candies - Restore one heart.

Chef Hat - Extra Life.

Lollipop - Adds an extra heart to your energy up to a maximum of four.

Spoon - Slightly longer range than your basic frying pan weapon.

Fork - Weapon that's similar to a pogo-stick.

Plates - Long-range weapon that you throw.

Frying Pan - Makes you invincible for as long as you're swinging it.

When you first start the game you see the villain Hors d'Oeuv appear and tell
you that he's stolen your restaurant, all of the food has also been mutated and
now attacks you.

The bonus round after each stage of the game is a slot machine that you use
coins to play. The more coins you put in up to a maximum of five per game, the
better your chances of winning something become.

The prizes are as follows:

3 Chef Hats = Extra life.
3 $'s = 10000 points.
3 Candies = Restore one heart.
3 Lollipops = One extra heart added to your life.

In the fish minigame you just use the hand to catch as many fish as you can,
but if you catch a black one the minigame ends.

In the egg minigame you just use the frying pan to catch as many eggs as you
can, but if you catch a bomb the minigame ends.

(E-01) STAGE 01: ENTREE
###############################################################################

Jump up the two ledges on your right and attack the turkey before he runs into
you, then attack the turkey and carrot and collect the spoon above. Continue
right and attack a series of carrots that leap out of the ground and some
turkeys. Collect the candy if you need it and attack more turkeys and carrots
before entering the door to reach the next area.

This area of the stage has carrots in it but also has a new enemy, jumping
loaves of bread. Jump to collect the lollipop and plates in the air, then
enter the door beyond to reach the next area.

In this area you fight the boss of the stage, a giant frying pan full of
popcorn. Stand in the middle of the room and the boss will bounce harmlessly
left and right over you. Hit the boss twice with your weapon and he will
launch some popcorn at you, stay as far away as possible from him before this
happens and it should be pretty easy to avoid. The boss also flies
horizontally at you after every four jumps, but you can easily just jump over
him when he does this. Once you get two more hits on the boss the battle will
be over, but before the stage ends the boss will start dropping many coins.
Try to get as many as you can because you'll be using them in the bonus round.

(E-02) STAGE 02: SOUP
###############################################################################

The first part of this stage has jelly that walks in bursts, and pizza that
rolls at you. Jump over the tables and attack the jelly on the other side,
then attack more jelly and pizza as you climb some more tables. You'll find a
spoon in the air on the other side so be sure to clear out the enemies as best
you can so you don't land on any of them, then jump right to it. Continue
right to an elevator but make sure you don't fall down the shaft or you'll die.
Instead ride the elevator up when it gets to you and quickly exit left at the
top before it goes back down. Quickly attack the pizzas and climb the ladder
beyond, then attack some more pizzas. You can either climb up the ladder here
to play a minigame where you catch fish for points, or you can walk through the
door to the next area.

I'll assume you played the minigame, in which case you start slightly farther
in this area but not much. Jump over the table and attack the sleeping onion,
these enemies take two hits to kill fully so keep that in mind. Continue left
a little and you'll see an apple, these enemies explode into four slices when
you get close so once they explode run away to avoid getting hit. Another
apple is behind the first one and some candy is below, jump the table beyond
and ride the elevator up. Attack some pizzas and climb the ladder behind them,
but be careful of a pizza rolling near the top of the ladder. Head right and
be careful of the apples, pizzas and chandeliers that fire electricity down at
you. Climb down the ladder and collect the candy, then climb down another
ladder. Attack the onions here and enter the door to the next area.

Attack the pizza as soon as you enter this area, then grab the frying pan in
the air and run right while you're invincible. Ignore the fork and climb down
the ladder, then attack the jellies and climb down the next ladder. Attack
more jellies and take the lower path as you avoid apples and pizzas, then
collect the lollipop and head right through the door to the next area.

The boss of this stage is a microwave loaded with chicken that bounces around a
lot. You need to try and hit him as he bounces, while of course trying to
avoid him landing on you. Every so often the boss will hover in the air and
release the chicken at you, while you could probably jump over all of them it's
much easier to stand there and attack each chicken with your weapon. Once the
you hit the boss eight times the battle will end and you can grab the coins
that he drops.

(E-03) STAGE 03: SALAD
###############################################################################

The first area of this stage introduces eggs as a new enemy, they move really
slowly and are easy to avoid or kill. Jump onto the green ledge and attack the
bread and eggs, then attack more of both on your right. Jump back left to
reach the plates which are the only long range weapon in the game. Work your
way right while hurling plates the whole time and you'll be fine, then climb
down the ladder. Attack the eggs and climb down the next ladder, then attack
another egg and enter the door to the next area.

Jump carefully across the bubbles because they pop pretty quickly, then attack
the enemy in the teacup before jumping across more bubbles. Walk right across
the conveyor belt and kill the two teacup enemies without stepping off the
conveyor belt. Watch the fire on your right, it travels right one space at a
time so follow just behind it and you should be alright. Walk over the next
conveyor belt and attack some more teacup enemies without stepping off the
conveyor belt. This time the fire goes left one space at a time before going
right at the same pace, follow the fire when it goes right to reach the other
side unharmed. Walk along the next conveyor belt and avoid the spoon, then
ride the lid of the pot up to the ledge above. Attack the teacup enemies here
and climb the pair of ladders, then enter the door to the next area.

This area introduces the toaster enemy which launches toast at you, once you
get rid of the jumping bread you can jump towards the toaster and throw a plate
to hit it. If you can keep your plates here it will help, otherwise jump to
the high platform on your left once the toaster's gone. Go left a little and
climb the ladder on your left to reach an egg catching minigame, this will also
allow you to bypass the rest of this area.

Once the minigame is over you'll be in a new area with a pair of conveyor
belts, take the higher one and attack the toasters on the other side. Collect
the candy if you need it and attack the toaster, then get ready for some bubble
jumping. There are five bubbles to jump across here and they all pop at
different heights, but if you jump to the next bubble just after if pops you
should be fine. Attack some toasters and bread on the other side and collect
the candy if you need it, then enter the door to the next area.

This boss is a stir-fry wok, shrimp also falls continuously as you fight. The
boss just walks back and forth though, but once he stops moving he will shoot a
number of fried shrimp and jump to the other level. If you stay on the far
right or left edge of the screen the normal shrimp shouldn't hit you, then just
attack the boss as often as you can and if you do get hit use your momentary
invincibility to get more hits in. Once beaten the boss will drop a number of
coins like the previous bosses and the stage will end.

(E-04) STAGE 04: FISH
###############################################################################

The first area of this stage introduces two new enemies, kebabs that fly
diagonally at you and chairs that fly into the air when you get close. Head
right and avoid a number of kebabs and chairs as you climb up the tables,
collect the candy if you need it and climb the chain up ahead. Jump up the
ledges on your left and beware of the kebab, then jump right without hitting
your head above to reach the plates. Head back left and climb another chain,
be careful of the kebabs and chicken at the top as you enter the door to the
next area.

Beware of the storm clouds in this area, then jump the knives and attack the
carrot beyond. Climb down a pair of chains as you attack some carrots, then
avoid the spoon if you still have the plates. Attack more carrots below and
enter the door to the next area.

Avoid the kebabs and attack the chicken, then jump over the tables and take the
lollipop below if you need it. Otherwise continue right past the teacup enemy
and climb a pair of chains. Attack a few more teacup enemies and avoid the
fork if you still have the plates, then climb the next chain. I don't think
it's possible to avoid the chicken at the top, so once you lose your weapon
collect the plates on your right. Climb the chain and attack the chicken and
kebab, then climb another chain and go left to avoid the kebabs. Collect the
candy on your right and climb the next chain, then avoid the kebabs and climb
the chain above to play the egg catching minigame.

Collect the frying pan and head right up the hill, then continue right past the
storm clouds and climb down the chain. Attack the carrot on your left and
climb down the next chain, then attack more carrots and collect the candy as
you work your way down. Attack the chicken and climb down the chain, then drop
onto the table on your right and enter the door beyond to reach the next area.

Attack the chicken and kebabs and collect the lollipop if you need it, then
head right to the next area.

This burger boss bounces around three times before launching his buns sideways
at you, shortly after his buns fall beside him and the pattern repeats. You
can easily avoid him as he jumps, then jump over his buns when they get
launched at you. After nine hits the boss will start dropping coins and the
stage will be over.

(E-05) STAGE 05: MEAT
###############################################################################

Slide down the hill and jump the pair of pizzas, then grab the fork and
carefully continue right past the ice-cream cones and pizzas. Climb down the
ladder and collect the plates, then drop down and use them on the pizzas.
Avoid the blasts from the pipes and grab the lollipop as you work your way
down, then go right at the bottom to reach the next area.

Go carefully right and try not to get hit from below by the popsicles, attack
them instead. Once past the spikes go back left on the upper path for a spoon,
then head right and ride the platforms as you avoid the popsicles. Continue
right past the spikes and be careful of the popsicles, then climb down the
ladders and attack the ice-cream cones. Collect the candy and the bottom and
go left to the next area.

Jump the spikes and attack the ice-cream cone, then beware of the five falling
fish ahead as you jump more spikes and attack another ice-cream cone. Grab the
candy if you need it, then climb up the ladder above to reach the fish catching
minigame.

Each of the white icy platforms in this area break away if you stand on the
left or right end of them, they're safe in the middle though. To make matters
worse there are popsicles trying to knock you onto the fatal spikes below.
However as long as you keep an eye on the popsicles and jump into the air any
time you land on a breakaway platform you should make it across easily. There
are also moving platforms to help you across so use them. Collect the plates
on your way across, then on the other side you can grab some candy if you need
it. Avoid the popsicles and blasts of cold air, then ignore the spoon if you
still have the plates. Head right through the nearby door to reach the next
area.

This ice-cream boss throws the top three scoops of ice-cream at you, the scoops
slide across the floor. Jump the scoop and quickly duck as the boss flies over
you, once you've done this for the three scoops the boss's pattern changes.
Now the boss will use the cone to break the blocks that you're standing on.
Once you hit the boss twelve times she will start dropping coins and the stage
will end.

(E-06) STAGE 06: DESSERT
###############################################################################

Head right and attack the hovering pumpkins, then take the upper path for some
plates. Continue right to the waterfall and beware of the fish that leap out
at you, then climb the pair of ladders to your right. Attack the pumpkin and
ignore the spoon if you still have the plates, then grab the lollipop if you
need it and continue your climb. Go left once you reach the top to start the
next area.

Grab the frying pan and run left through the fries and kebabs, then head left
past the spikes and avoid the kebabs before taking the upper path for some
candy. Drop down and get rid of the fries and teacup enemy, then carefully
jump the spikes and enter the door to reach the next area.

Carefully attack the fries as you go left, then climb down the chain and attack
more fries. Drop down and collect the candy as you avoid the fish, then climb
down the chain and deal with more fish and fries. Collect the spoon and drop
down, then avoid more fish and fries. Climb down the chain and avoid more fish
and fries, then enter the door on your right to reach the next area.

Attack the pumpkins and grab the lollipop if you need it, then carefully jump
past the waterfall. Collect the spoon and attack the pumpkins to your right,
then drop down and kill more pumpkins as you climb down a ladder. Grab the
plates on your right and climb down a pair of ladders, then head right to the
next area.

Carefully attack the fries without getting hit into the spikes above, then take
the upper route and attack more fries. Climb down a series of chains and
attack more fries, then head carefully right and take the upper route to a
lollipop. Continue right past spikes and fries, then enter the door to the
next area.

Here you meet up with your rival Hors d'Oeuv who flies away in a frying pan,
you chase him down in your own beat up pan and the battle begins. Hors d'Oeuv
fires a triple shot of carrots that is easily avoided and basically moves left
and right every so often. You need to hit his balloon rapidly with your eggs
to win the battle. His balloon will deflate in three stages before popping, if
you're not fast enough it will inflate again so just fire eggs continuously and
the battle shouldn't be that hard. Once the balloon pops the battle ends and
you get to watch the ending.

here. Mainly as a small experiment since a few other FAQ authors have also had
the same idea.
