Walkthrough started.

v1.1 (11/23/2012)
Small correction made.
Added the "Things to Note" section.

2. Intro
==============================================================================

Defender of the Crown is a strategy game by Cinemaware on various computers,
and Konami/Ultra Games on the NES. It is pretty easy if you follow this guide,
but sometimes you get unlucky and bad events end the game.

==============================================================================
3. Walkthrough
==============================================================================

When you start the game, pick Cedric of Rotherwood.
Nottingham is below Sherwood Forest. If you do not get it, reset the game.
Transfer all your men out of your castle into your army.
Move army to the east.
Now read the map and look for Wolfric the Wild.
Go raid his castle to get some gold.
Buy one catapult and all the soldiers you can.
Transfer them all to your army.
Move the army to the castle on Norfolk (the farthest one on the right).
Now you will begin an offensive seige. Throw boulders so the castle will be
destroyed in the middle.
Now you will start a field battle. Kill all the men.
Now you have all of his land, so now you get a very good income.
Spend your new money on army men, then transfer all soldiers except 20 to
the army.
Now raid a castle (preferably Wolfric's) for even more gold.
Spend it on new army. Again, leave 20 soldiers in the garrison.
Now go to Buckingham (the second farthest on the bottom). You are stepping
into enemy territory, so you will have field battles on the way.
Do the same as when you went to Norfolk.
Now buy some more army and transfer ALL the men in your garrison to the
army.
Go to Cornwall (the castle on the SW corner). Do the same as when you
went to Buckingham and Norfolk.
If you win the field battle with the enemies, you beat the game!

==============================================================================
4. Things to Note
==============================================================================

If your home castle gets beseiged with no men in the garrison, the game is
immediately over! If this happens to a non-home castle, it will get captured,
but the game will not end.
