1. Introduction
**********************************************************************
To start off, I've never even heard of this Tom Clancy. But, to have a novel
become a video game, Rainbow Six must be a best-seller. Book and video game.
This game will amaze you by how realistic it is. The only problem is, the
game is too short. But the levels are HUMONGOUS! Typically, you are an
operative, taking down terrorists, rescuing hostages, and putting an end to
a terrorist operation. BTW, this is my first FAQ written.

**********************************************************************
These are the default controls. You may change them if you like.
C Up -- Move forward
C Down -- Move backward
C Left -- Strafe to the left
C Right -- Strafe to the right
L -- Change magazine, or clip
R -- Hold to run
Z -- Fire your weapon
Control Stick -- look around*
Left on D-pad -- Turn on/off your night vision goggles
Up, Right, and Down on D-pad -- Action button, use it to open doors, pick
locks, climb ledges, climb ladders, download files, disable security
systems, and disarm bombs
* = When you hold up, you look up, and when you hold down, you look down. To
make it the other way around, go to the controls and switch the Y axis by
holding left or right on the control stick.

4. Menus
**********************************************************************
Before every mission, there is a menu. It has 7 different options.
1. Briefing
Here, you can look up your briefing and see what your objectives are, what
the situation is, and listen to a few words from a few people.
2. Intel
Here, you can look up various information on various things.
3. Roster
Here, you can see all the people available for this operation. Only 4
operatives per mission. If one operative is killed in a mission, then he is
removed from the roster, and will be replaced with another operative.
4. Kit
Here, you can rearrange your weapons. You can choose from 6 primary weapons,
6 secondary weapons, and 2 extra things, just in case.
5. Team
Here, you can sort everybody out on different teams. There are 4 different
teams, the RED, BLUE, GREEN, and GOLD team.
6. Planning
Here, you can plan out what you are going to do, where you are going to go,
and where the terrorists are.
7. Execute
Here is where you start your mission. Before you start it, a menu will come
up. You choose the number of players, the difficulty (RECRUIT = EASY /
VETERAN = MEDIUM or NORMAL / ELITE = HARD), and to start the mission.

5. Walkthrough
**********************************************************************
There are usually more than one way to finish a level, but in some levels,
there is only one way to finish it. I will also explain the ways of
finishing the levels. Let me explain.
In some levels, you finish the level by rescuing the hostage by taking them
to the designated area; usually the beginning of the level. In all but two
levels, you can finish the level by killing all of the terrorists. In one
level, you have to download files and go to the designated area with all of
your men. In another level, you have to disarm a bomb. In yet another level,
you finish it by finding the main person.
Some things may not be explained in the walkthrough. I've only rented the
game once, and beaten it, but some things may be missing.
BTW, before I forget, the designated area is a big blue square on your
in-game map.
Now, let's get started with our walkthrough (By the way, this walkthrough is
for RECRUIT difficulty.).
Oh yeah, some of the level's names, I can't remember. If you e-mail me the
names of the levels, I will not only put the names on, but I will also put
your name in the credits the next time I update this FAQ.

1. Operation: "Cold Thunder"
Rescue all hostages.**
Kill all terrorists.
You start off in the designated area. There will be a path ahead of you.
Follow it to the end. If you can't see it, turn on your night vision
goggles. There will be 3 terrorists here. Shoot them all down. Now, you can
either from the front of the house, or you can risk death by going around
the back and shoot the two terrorists here. Either way, there will be 1
terrorist in the house downstairs. Be sure to take him out. When you go
upstairs, there will be 2 terrorists: one standing around and one ready to
shoot the hostage. Take both of them out. Now, you can either return to the
designated area with the hostage (To make the hostage follow you, pause the
game and press left on the control stick to change the team's mode to
ESCORT.), or you can kill the last terrorist, which is in the basement. You
may notice a staircase going down on the first floor. Go down to find the
last terrorist.
2. Operation: "------------"
Rescue all hostages.**
Kill all terrorists.
This level is pretty easy, but in one room, you can get killed easily. Plus,
it's kinda hard to get the hostages out and not kill all of the terrorists.
This situation occurs in one other level. BTW, I don't know where the
designated area is for this level. I'll explain. You start off outside a
building. There are 2 doors, one to the left and one in front of the
building. Go to the one in front of the building and pick the lock by
holding down one of the action buttons. Once unlocked, shoot the terrorist
in front of you, then shoot the other 2 terrorists in the room. After that,
head through these 2 blue doors, but DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go in the room
to the right just yet. This is the room where you can get killed easily.
How? There are two floors in this room, but the ceiling/floor for the
1st/2nd floors is a railing, which the terrorists can shoot you from above
and below. You can too. But there are a lot of terrorists in this room. So I
suggest going slowly and killing all the terrorists on the first floor. To
get to the second floor, there is a staircase to the right. Go up. There
will be 3 doorway, 1 of them is huge. Enter the small right doorway, turn
left, and take out the terrorist. Go into the huge doorway and take out the
terrorist to the right, but make sure you don't shoot any of the hostages.
There is one more terrorist to take out. Go back through the 2 blue doors
and head right. There should be a door here. Open it and the last terrorist
is there. If not, look through another door. You're bound to find that last
terrorist.
3. Operation: "Sun Devil"
Rescue all hostages.**
Kill all terrorists.
I don't know where all of the enemies are in this level. You start off in
the designated area. Approach the entrance carefully. There will be 2 or 3
terrorists here. I don't know my way around here, so explore the place for
yourself. Find a staircase going into a basement. Open the door and take out
the terrorist(s) here. In the right entrance is where the hostages are
located. Either you can end the level now by taking the hostages to the
designated area, or by killing the remaining terrorists.
4. Operation: "Eagle Watch"
Rescue all hostages.**
Kill all terrorists.
This level is BIG, so it's easy to get lost. On top of that, I don't know
where all of the terrorists are. You start off in the designated area. Find
a staircase leading upstairs. If you found a big room with 3 or 4
terrorists, you've found the hostages. If you want to kill all of the
terrorists, good luck finding them all.
5. Operation: "Ghost Dance"
Rescue all hostages.**
Kill all terrorists.
This level is the third hardest level in my opinion. You're in an amusement
park now, and, like all amusement parks, this place is big and easy to get
lost. Plus, to add insult to injury, they've got those rooms from the second
level where the terrorists are above and below you, except this time,
they're all over the place. Also, the terrorists make a lot of head shots in
this level. To make this simple, I'll explain where to go immediately. If
you encounter any terrorists, kill them. Head to the locked door to the near
right. Unlock the door and head left. Make a u-turn to the right and go in.
To the right of the ship is a secret room. Escort the family back to the
beginning of the level. Easier said than done.
6. Operation: "----------"
Prevent leader escape.**
Kill all terrorists.
You have to prevent the leader from escaping, but since you don't know who
he is, you're going to have to kill all of the terrorists just to be sure.
This level can look deceptively easy at first, but if don't search the right
places, the leader will escape, which can be very frustrating. Go the door
ahead of you. Kill all the terrorists in this building because this is the
biggest building in the level, despite its small size from the outside.
Enter the other two buildings and get the other 2 terrorists.
7. Operation: "Lion's Den"
Rescue all hostages.**
Kill all terrorists.
This level is really big, but there is only one place where the terrorists
are. So it's unlikely you'll get hostages to the designated area, which is
where you start off. There will be a staircase going down. Head down and
follow the path to the end. There will be another staircase going up. Go up.
There will be more. Go up them. Once you reach the mechanical area of the
building (You ARE in Big Ben, after all.), kill all of the terrorists. Head
up the flight of stairs. Kill all of the terrorists here. The top floor is
hard, because the terrorists can take you out easily. Proceed with caution,
and you should be able to beat this level.
8. Operation: "Deep Magic"
Download computer files.**
This level is the second hardest level in the game. 1) This is a stealth
mission, or, if the terrorists know you're here, the mission is over. 2) If
you don't disable the security system before you download the files, the
security alarm will be tripped. 3) There is one guard here that is tricky to
kill. You should consider choosing silenced weapons for this level. The only
plus side is that there are only 4 guards in this level. Have one team head
through the door in plain sight and go down the stairs to the second door,
but don't open it just yet! Wait for the 2 sentries to pass, but wait for
the left sentry to disappear from the map. Open the door, take out the
sentry, go through the door, and close it. If the other guard sees the open
door, the mission will end. Go upstairs to the previous door. Go through it,
go left, and take out both terrorists on this floor. Now, have your other
team go through the door on the side of the rooftop. Head down the ladder
and wait by the door until the last sentry appears. Take him out, and the
rest of the level will be a breeze. Go across the hall into a room that
makes a lot of noise. There is a panel to the right. Activate that panel to
disable the security system. Have that team wait on the roof. Now, have your
first team explore the second floor until you find a room with a computer in
it. This computer is where you download the files. Once you're done, head
back to the rooftop.
9. Operation: "Lone Fox"
Capture leader.**
Kill all terrorists.
This level is easy for a change. You start out under a bridge. Go up to the
road. There will be 3 cars coming by. Don't get run over! Shoot all of the
terrorists (six to be exact). Don't worry about the hostage. Go down the
road and take out the 4 terrorists. Further down the road, there are 2
terrorists. Take them out. There are a few more terrorists down the road.
Take them out and you finish the level.
10. Operation: "-----------"
Rescue Anne Lang.**
Kill all terrorists.
Turn on you night vision immediately. Head up the ladder. Go left or right.
If you go right, there are 4 terrorists. To the left, there are 2. Go left,
take out the 2 terrorists, and enter. Find the hostage and escort her back
to the beginning of the level.
11. Operation: "-----------"
Disarm bomb.**
Kill all terrorists.
This is THE BIGGEST level in the game. Let me just tell you what you have to
do. I'm afraid you're going to have to explore the level on your own. If you
find a computer in a box that is turned on, this is where you disable the
security system. Now, find a room with a weird-looking object in it. That's
the bomb. Hold the action button to disarm it. You can kill all of the
terrorists in this level, but that will be a great challenge.
12. Operation: "Mystic Dance"
Capture Brightling.**
This level is the hardest level in the game. Fortunately, this is the last
level in the game. There are at least 16 terrorists in this level. Go
through the white door and head to the right. Kill the terrorist. When you
find another white door, go through it. There will be 2 more white doors
ahead of you. Go through the first one. Don't go through the second one yet.
Quickly, enter the door, take out the terrorist in front of you, then back
out quickly. Go to the right of the door and take out the two terrorists in
front of you. Go to the left side and take out the terrorist on the
south-top-right corner of the room. Go up the stairs. There should be a door
here that has HORIZON on it. Go through it. Head down to the second to last
door. Keep going through all of the doors until you reach a lab. The game
should take over and enter the lab for you.
