*********************************1. Story******************************
(written by me)

Life was going on as usual at Mario's house, until one day he received
a letter from Princess Peach:

"I'm throwing a party at my castle today!" it read. "Mario and Luigi, I
would be honored if you both could attend. Sincerely, Peach"

So Mario and Luigi went to the castle. People from all over were there,
like the mayor of Shiver City in the far north, and a couple of people
from the Dry Dry Desert. But Princess Peach wasn't there. She wasn't in
her room, either. So Mario checked upstairs, and sure enough, there she
was.

"Oh Mario! You came to the party just to see me! You're so sweet! It
gets tiring, greeting all those guests out there. Shall we relax and
chat, just the two of us? We can go out on the balcony." Mario nodded.

But suddenly, the ground began to shake, and Bowser's castle came out
of the ground and lifted Peach's castle into the sky!

When the castle stopped shaking, Peach looked out the window. "Oh no,
what happened? It's daytime, but I can see stars outside!"

Suddenly, Bowser in his flying smiley thingy and Kammy Koopa burst
through the window. Bowser had come to kidnap the princess, again, so
Mario decided to fight. After trading a few blows, though, Bowser
pulled out a rod with a star on the end. "Check out what I stole from
Star Haven! It's the Star Rod! It has the power to grant any wish! And
I wish that I was invincible!"

Mario tried jumping on Bowser again, but it had no effect. He tried
once again, but to no avail. Finally, Bowser yelled, "It's time to end
this!" And he blew fire at Mario, knocking him out. He then took the
Star Rod and blasted Mario out the window.

And so our story begins...

****************************2. Characters*****************************

-Mario-
The hero of the adventure (duh), Mario was always able to beat Bowser
when the time came. But can he now?

-Bowser-
The King of the Koopas was always beaten by Mario, no matter what he
tried. But now, it seems that Bowser has finally beaten Mario!

-Peach-
Always the damsel in distress, Peach has been kidnapped so many times
by Bowser its hard to remember how many. But this time, she won't sit
around and wait. She's working on the inside...

-Kammy Koopa-
Bowser's right hand Koopa, and an expert at magic. She is the brain
behind Bowser's brawn.

-Star Spirits-
The seven Star Spirits were imprisoned by Bowser after he stole the
Star Rod. If Mario can save them, he may be able to beat Bowser!

-And the rest...-
The party members will be described in their section.

************************4. Battle Basics**************************

All battles in Paper Mario are turn based. But this is not your run-of-
the-mill battle. There is a lot of interactivity in the battles
compared to other RPG's.

Your commands:
Strategies:Change Partner-Change your partner.
Do Nothing-Pass your turn. This is helpful when you can't
attack an enemy with your current arsenal.
Run Away-Self-explanatory. Press the A button a lot to give
                   yourself a better chance.
Items:Items-use an item.
Double/Triple Dip-Use this to use two or three items in one turn
                       (if you have the Badge)
Jump:Jump on an enemy. If you have any Badges for jump attacks on they
    will appear here.
Hammer:Hammer one enemy. Hammer attack Badges you have on will also
      appear here.
Star Spirits:You will get these abilities as you save the Spirits.
Focus-Recover more Star Energy than usual.
Refresh-Get back 5 HP and FP, and cure poison and shrink.
            1 energy.
Lullaby-Make enemies fall asleep. 1 energy.
Star Storm-My favorite. 7 damage to all enemies. 2 energy.
Chill out-All enemies attack power goes down by 3. 2
            energy.
Smooch-Restores 20 HP. Uses a lot of star energy, though.
            3 energy.
Time out-Stops all enemies temporarily. 2 energy.
Up & Away-Turns most enemies into harmless stars. 2
            energy.
Star/Peach Beam-Used to get rid of Bowser's invincibility.
Strategies (Partner):Change Partner-See above
                    Do nothing-See above
Abilities (Partner):These are your partner's abilities.

After you receive the Lucky Star you can do the "Action Command" to
power up your attack or increase your defense. There are six different
kinds of action command:

1. Press A a lot to power up the attack.
2. Aim the shot and release the Control Stick when aimed.
3. Press left repeatedly to power up the attack.
4. Press A as soon as you hit the enemy.
5. Hold left and release when the star lights up.
6. For defense, press A as soon as you are hit.

Whenever you defeat an enemy, you get Star Points. Star Points are just
like experience points in other RPGs. Every 100 Points you get, you'll
gain a level; however the number of Star Points given up by enemies
will decrease as you gain levels.

However, for every level up you get, you'll only be able to upgrade one
of either HP, FP, or BP. Attack power can't be upgraded unless you get
new weapons.

*****************************6. Walkthrough****************************

BIG NOTE: Every location in this walkthrough is divided into "areas".
An area is one screen.

---------------------Prologue: A Plea From the Stars-------------------

-Goomba Village-

After falling into the forest near Goomba Village, the seven Star
Spirits visit Mario and send him strength. Goombaria, a young Goomba,
sees Mario and gets him to a Toad House. There, a star spirit tells him
to go to Shooting Star Summit. Mario wakes up. A Toad tells him he's
been knocked out. Mario then leaves the house.

Area 1-This is where Goombaria found you. You're not there, though, but
you're not going here, so I'm just labeling it now.

Area 2-You're here. There's a gate you can't pass, and a house. Go into
the house and through the other door inside and find Goompa fixing a
veranda. Go back to the gate, talk to the mustached Goomba, and watch
Kammy drop a block on the gate. Go back to the veranda. It's gone! You
fall.

Area 3-Luckily, you're made of paper, so you floated down. Go talk to
Goompa, who tells you to find the Hammer. Go left.

Area 4-Look in the bushes. Behind one of them is the Hammer. You can
then hit one of the trees and find the Dolly. Go back, and you'll meet
up with...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Jr. Troopa    5      1-2        0

Jr. Troopa isn't really that much of a threat. Just keep attacking with
the Hammer, and he'll go down in a hurry.

Jr. Troopa runs away, promising to return. (And he will, five times!)

Area 3-You can now hit the tree and get a Mushroom. Break the block,
and jump on the trampoline to get a Fire Flower. Also hit the heart
block.

Area 5-Just walk to the right. Goompa will tell you about First
Strikes, which you can practice on the enemies here.

Area 2-You're back here. Goompa will give you the Power Jump Badge, and
Goombario will join your party. Rest at the Toad House, and break the
block. There's also a Goomnut in the tree nearest the block.

Area 6-Don't read the sign unless you want to fight. Otherwise, there's
nothing important here.

Area 7-The red ? block has the Close Call Badge inside, and read the
sign to get a Mushroom. Hit the Heart Block, and continue.

Area 8-Go right to find...

MINI-BOSS    HP     Attack     Defense
Red Goomba    7        1          0
Blue Goomba   6        1          0

The "Notorious Goomba Brothers" are a lot more bark than bite. Use one
Power Jump on one (you DID put it on, didn't you?) and one on the
other. They'll go down quickly.

The brothers run away to King Goomba.

Area 7-Just hit the heart block and come back.

Area 8-Save and go on the trampoline and right.

Area 9-A Goomba will come out of the sign, not a Mushroom. Just
continue right.

Area 10-Watch the Goombas cry to the Goomba King in his "fortress",
then walk up yourself. They will jump out at you...

MINI-BOSS     HP    Attack    Defense
Goomba King   10      1-2        0
Red Goomba     2       1         0
Blue Goomba    2       1         0

For your first attack, move the cursor left when you choose who to
attack and hammer the tree. A nut will fall, killing the little Goombas
and dealing 3 damage to the king. Use your Fire Flower (if you still
have it) followed by some Power Jumps to finish him off.

The Goombas retreat into the "fortress". Look in the bushes nearby to
find a switch. Press it, and watch the rather funny way the bridge
appears. Continue on right and watch Kammy fly away.

-Peach's Castle-

Kammy flies to Bowser's castle to report that Goomba King has been
defeated. Bowser is a little worried, but Kammy reassures him that he
is invincible. The Koopa Bros. come in and show Bowser their weapon,
and Bowser's appreciation sounds like he's having sex. Of course, the
Bros. left their fortress unguarded, so they rush back.

-Goomba Village-

Area 11-Hit the tree to make a trampoline appear and go on the roof to
get the Hammer Throw Badge. Then go right.

-Toad Town-

Area 1-The pipe here leads to Mario's house. There's also a shop here,
and the Dojo, but you can't go there yet. Go right.

Area 2-In this area there's a Toad House, and black Toads are blocking
the way right. Go up to the star door.

-Shooting Star Summit-

Area 1-Not much here.

Area 2-Not much here either. The top path goes to area 3, and the
bottom to 4.

Area 3-This is Shooting Star Summit. Go to the top and listen as the
Star Spirits fill you in on what's going on. Bowser has the Star Rod,
but now he seems content with what he's got. However, the spirits say
that he may wish for more soon, and that could be disastrous.

-Peach's Castle-

Bowser barges into Peach's room, telling her, as all villains do, how
all this happened. Peach wishes she could have someone to help her, and
her wish is granted in the form of the Star Kid Twink. Peach tells
Twink to bring Mario the "Lucky Star" and tell him she's OK.

-Shooting Star Summit-

Area 2-Walk left and see Twink bump into Mario. He teaches you about
the action command. But suddenly...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Magikoopa     8       3         0

This isn't really a mini-boss, because you'll see him much later as a
regular enemy. Just do regular attacks and use your newly-learned
action command to prevail.

Twink leaves to go back to Peach's side, but before he leaves, he tells
Mario Peach is OK. Go back to Toad Town.

-Toad Town-

Area 2-A Toad tells Mario Merlon wants to see him. Go to the house with
the spinning roof and check the door twice. Go in and talk to Merlon.
Now, go talk to the black Toads, talk to Merlon again, and talk to him
once more when he's next to the Toads. He will reveal them to be the
Koopa Brothers! Follow them and begin...

---------------Chapter 1: Storming Koopa Bros. Fortress----------------

-Pleasant Path-

Area 1-Just go right. The red ? block has the Dizzy Attack Badge
inside.

Area 2-It seems like you can't get across, but hit the tree. A switch
will pop out; hit it. You can get a POW Block in this area, and I'd
save it.

Area 3-See the things with eyes? One of them will always look at you.
Run circles around it to make Hearts pop out. Now go down the stairs
and follow the path.

-Koopa Village-

Area 1-Enter to see the Fuzzies take the Koopa's shells. You can help
them, but you don't have to. Go right.

Area 2-Go into the shaking house and watch Kooper come out. Follow the
Fuzzy outside.

Area 3-Just go right and ignore the Badge, because you'll get it soon.

Area 4-Watch the Fuzzy with the shell carefully and hammer the tree
it's in. When Kooper comes back, give him his shell, and he'll join
your party. But then the Fuzzies will come back and...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Fuzzy x4      3       1         0

This battle is harder than it looks, because every successful attack
made by the Fuzzies will regenerate their HP. I suggest bowling them
down with the Power Shell, or using a Fire Flower.

Area 3-Now use Kooper to get the HP Plus Badge. Go back to Pleasant
Path after buying some items.

-Pleasant Path-

Area 3-Go back upstairs and go right.

Area 4-Watch for the Koopa Troopa that jumps out of the bushes. To get
the Thunder Bolt, hit the block with Kooper. SAVE IT! You'll want to
use it for the Koopa Bros. Use Kooper to hit the switch across the
water. If you jump in between the two bricks, a Fire Flower will pop
out. Go right.

Area 5-Just go right and ignore the cracked wall.

-Koopa Bros. Fortress-

Area 1-Save and go inside. See, THIS is a fortress. Tell that to the
Goomba King. ^_^

Area 2-Kill the Koopa Troopa to get the key and go in the door.

Area 3-Just go right.

Area 4-Watch the Koopa Bro hide the key then go right. To get the Power
Bounce Badge (that pink boot), go to the very top of the right wall of
the cell and walk left. After a while you will go through. If you still
can't get it, return with Bombette and blow up the wall. Go right.

Area 5-Kill the Koopa Troopa and hit the switch. Go downstairs and then
left.

Area 6-You must kill all the enemies to continue. Then go left.

Area 7-Avoid the flames and grab the key. Then go back to Area 5.

Area 5-Go upstairs and use the key.

Area 9-Watch the Koopa Bro build the trap. If you go down, you'll find
a door in the wall. Behind it is a save block. Go up and hit the ?
block, and fall into the cell. Meet Bombette, who'll join your party.
Use her to blow up the wall. When you try to leave...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Koopa Troopa  4       1         1
Bob-omb x2    3      1-2        0

Go through the door.

Area 5-Go back upstairs to area 4.

Area 4-Blow up the right cell wall and grab the key, then go to area 9.

Area 9-Go where the trap was and go in the door.

Area 5-Go left and use the key on the door.

Area 4-Now you're on the top of the cells. Hit the switch with Kooper,
and go all the way to the wall. Hit the switch again. Repeat the
process for the other switch.

Area 3-Hit the switch and go downstairs. Blow up the wall.

Area 4-Just grab the key.

Area 3-Just go upstairs and go in the locked door.

Area 2-Hit the switch to make the staircase rise, then go upstairs.

Area 10-The Koopa Bros. will fire Bullet Bills at you. If you go down,
you'll find a maple syrup, good for 10 FP. Go jump on the cannons
and...

MINI-BOSS       HP    Attack     Defense
Bill Blaster x3  4      n/a         1

Although the Bill blasters can't attack, they create Bullet Bills that
you must destroy. It shouldn't be that hard.

Go down to find a heart block and a save block. Then go in the door on
the right.

Area 11-Nothing here except...

BOSS           HP    Attack    Defense
Bowser???      10       1         1
G NinjaKoopa    5       1         1
Y NinjaKoopa    5       1         1
B NinjaKoopa    5       1         1
R NinjaKoopa    5       1         1

The Bros. will wheel out a mechanical Bowser to try and destroy you.
Use the Thunder Bolt I told you to save on it and then bomb him. Just
hit him once more and he should die.
Now the Koopa Bros. come in. You should knock them down fast because
they can deal 4 damage when together. When they're down, use a Fire
Flower, and a POW block or Power Shell the next turn, and they're gone!

The Koopa Bros. fall into the cell, which conveniently has had the wall
patched up. A card will appear. Touch it to free the first Star Spirit
and...

END OF CHAPTER!

-Peach's Castle-

Watch Peach and Twink talk about the secret exit to the room. After
they're done talking, you'll play as Peach!

Note: The castle is not divided into areas, because there's too many
side paths. Instead, each room will have its name before it.

Peach's Room-Check the fireplace. "A warm fireplace? Don't you find
that suspicious?" WHAT!? How is a warm fireplace suspicious? The switch
is behind the painting next to the fireplace.

Secret Passage-Just go left.

Bowser's Room-Hey look! Bowser's diary is out in the open! Read it to
find out about Bowser's not-so-secret (as you'll see later) crush on
Peach and how the second Star Spirit is in Dry Dry Ruins. Bowser comes
in and catches Peach, and Twink leaves to tell Mario about this news.

-Koopa Bros. Fortress-

Area 1-The first Star Spirit, Eldstar, gives you Star Energy and the
Refresh ability. It restores 5 HP and FP and cures poison and shrink
for one star energy unit. He also explains that if you free all the
Spirits, they can give you Star Beam, which can take away Bowser's
invincibility. After he leaves, head back to Toad Town.

-Pleasant Path-

Area 5-Blow up the cracked wall and go in the pipe to get the FP Plus
Badge.

Area 1-On your way back you will run into...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Jr. Troopa   15       2         1

Jr. Troopa has learned a "new" attack: hiding in his shell. Use attacks
that cause more than 1 damage and he'll go down in a hurry, again.

Keep going left.

-Toad Town-

Area 2-Twink shows up and tells you to go to Dry Dry Desert. To get
there, go down.

Area 3-Just keep going down.

Area 4-Go to the train station and blow up the rock on the tracks. Talk
to the stationmaster Toad to go on the train.

Choo! Choo! Off to...

----------------Chapter 2: The Mystery of Dry Dry Ruins----------------

-Mt. Rugged-

Area 1-You're at the train station. Go up, and ignore the Stone Block
(or Rock Block as I like to call it). Go right and bump into Parakarry.
He tells you to help him find his missing letters. Go right.

Area 2-Go right and down the stairs, and break the yellow Block to the
left. Behind it is Whacka. Whack Whacka to get Whacka's Bump, which
will give you 25 HP and FP. If you go to another area and come back,
Whacka will reappear, but beware, after 6-8 Bumps he will disappear
forever. Go back up the stairs and go right.

Area 3-Just go right until you see the letter. Use Kooper to get it,
and go back to Parakarry.

Area 1-Why didn't you TELL me that there were two other letters? Go
back to area 3 and go right.

Area 4-Go up the ramp and left through the mountain.

Area 3-Get on the slide and WHEEEE! Go left.

Area 5-Keep going left until you find a trampoline, and jump on it.
Then go right and on the slide. You'll land near a letter, to the
right. Go back to area 4 and go right.

Area 6-Jump off the cliff. You heard me, jump off the cliff! You'll
land near a letter. Take it back to Parakarry.

Area 1-Parakarry will join your party, but not until he says that there
are MORE letters he wants you to find. Grab the Quake Hammer badge in
area 3 and continue to the cliff you jumped off to get the last letter.

Area 6-Fly over the gap. As you cross the bridge, Buzzar will come and
say you look like Mario and ask what your name is. You have three
choices:
Mario-You fight.
Luigi-He ignores you, but seems suspicious of you.
Princess Peach-You fight. Buzzar's dumb, but not dumb enough to realize
you're not Peach.

If you fight...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Buzzar       40      1-4        0

You should attack Buzzar with Power Jump and Shell Shot. If all the
attacks are successful, he should die in five turns. Bring along some
Syrup and a few Mushrooms. Most of his attacks are avoided by pushing A
rapidly.

Buzzar will fall off the cliff. Continue on.

Area 7-The only things here are heart and save blocks.

-Dry Dry Desert-

Note: The desert is divided into nearly identical sections and is 7 by
7 areas. Area 1 is the area in the top left, area 2 is the one to the
right of it, etc. You start in Area 22.

Area 22-Just keep going right to area 28.

Area 28-Go down till you reach the oasis in area 42.

Area 42-Hit one of the thick trees to get a lemon, and there is a party
member-upgrading Super Block at the bottom of the area. I suggest you
upgrade Bombette, but it's your decision. Go back to area 28 and go
right.

-Dry Dry Outpost-

Area 1-Go right and watch the mouse run out of the shop.

Area 2-There is a stack of crates to the right of the Toad House. Climb
over them to find Merlee. For 5, 20 or 50 coins, she will give you
special abilities in battle, with more abilities for more coins. Go
back over the crates and go to the right. You'll see the shopkeeper
mouse run back to the shop. Talk to the hooded mouse and give him a
lemon. He will tell you that if you want to see Moustafa (and you do)
then you should buy a Dried Shroom and then a Dusty Hammer. Go do what
he says.

Area 1-When you buy the items in the correct order, the mouse will tell
you that Moustafa lives above the buildings in Dry Dry Outpost. Go back
to the right.

Area 2-Go in the door that the hooded mouse used to be standing in
front of, and walk to the right. Climb the boxes and then go left,
jumping from building to building. When you find a door go inside. The
hooded mouse will reveal himself to be Moustafa and will give you the
Pulse Stone. Go back to Dry Dry Desert.

-Dry Dry Desert-

Area 28-Head over to Area 3.

Area 3-Use the Pulse Stone on the circular rock. Arise, Dry Dry Ruins!
Arise, and give me a Star Spirit! Well, not yet. Hit the heart block if
you need to, and then go inside.

-Dry Dry Ruins-

Area 1-Listen to the...ahem..."scary" voice and go right.

Area 2-Fight the Pokey Mummies. In one of the coffins is the incredibly
good Spike Shield Badge. Put it on as soon as you can, but try not to
take off other good Badges (like Close Call) just to put this one on.
Go downstairs.

Area 3-Grab the key and go back.

Area 2-Go upstairs and unlock the door.

Area 3-Hit the switch to drain the sand into the lower area and then go
there yourself. Go right.

Area 4-"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! It's that scary voice again!" If anybody says
this at this point, I suggest you stop playing and call a mental
hospital, unless you are four. Seriously, people. It's not that scary.
Go upstairs, fly across the gap, and blow up the wall.

Area 5-Hit the switch, and grab the rather stupidly-placed Star Piece
after you hit it.

Area 4-Go downstairs and in the door to the right.

Area 5-Grab the key.

Area 4-Go downstairs and unlock the door to the left.

Area 6-Go to the left and hit the ? block. The door will close, and the
coffins will open. Kill all the enemies to make the key fall, and
unlock the door to the left.

Area 7-Fly across the gap to the left.

Area 8-Enter and see the scary voice lose its touch. Whoops! Wrong
thing to say. Go up the stairs and hit the green switch. Go upstairs
again and hit the other green switch. Go across, down the red stairs
and hit the red switch. Now drop off, and go to the entrance to the
room, and go up the green, then the red staircase. Before you drop into
the hole, walk along the thin ledge and drop off it onto another thin
ledge. Walk through the wall to get the seemingly useless Slow Go
Badge. Don't worry, you will use it. Drop down and grab the Super
Hammer! Yay! Break the Rock Block and leave the room.

Area 7-Go back across the ledge, and head back to area 4 and go into
the only room there you haven't explored.

Area 9-Break the Rock Block and grab the Pyramid Stone. But then...

MINI-BOSS       HP    Attack    Defense
Stone Chomp x2   4       3         1

Easy. Just whack 'em with the Super Hammer a few times.

Head back to area 7.

Area 7-Go blow up the wall on the bottom left.

Area 10-Drop off and hit the Super Block. Blow up the wall to the left.

Area 11-Break the Rock Block and...

MINI-BOSS       HP    Attack    Defense
Stone Chomp x2   4       3         1

Not again....See above.

Grab the Diamond Stone, go right, and then right again.

Area 12-Just go right through the loooooong hallway.

Area 13-Hit the Rock Block and hit the switch, which for some reason
hasn't been activated, even with the block on it. Grab the key and head
to area 7.

Area 7-Go through the door on the bottom right.

Area 14-Go right and unlock the door on the upstairs.

Area 13-Drain the sand and head back.

Area 14-Go in the lower door.

Area 13-Hit the Rock Block, grab the Lunar Stone, and...

MINI-BOSS       HP    Attack    Defense
Stone Chomp x2   4       3         1

..zzzzzzzzz...

Go back.

Area 14-See the Chomp statues? Put the Pyramid Stone in the first one,
the Diamond Stone in the third one, and the Lunar Stone in the last
one. Stairs will appear, which lead to the boss. Hit the heart block on
your way down.

Area 15-Save.

Area 16-Nothing here, unless you count...

BOSS        HP    Attack    Defense
Tutankoopa  30      2-3        0
Chomp        4       3         3

Tutankoopa cannot hurt you that much, but he can call in Chomp, and
when that happens, watch out! Kill it as quick as you can. When he
makes the big Chomp, try to press A as soon as it hits the ground. If
you pull it off, it will hurt him, and he'll fall to the ground where
you can give stronger attacks with your Super Hammer. Keep it up, and
it should be easy.

Tutankoopa's Chomp comes in and chases him out, and he will be doing
that all the way through the credits (see for yourself later)! Grab the
card, free the Star Spirit and...

END OF CHAPTER!

-Peach's Castle-

Watch Bowser tell Peach that even though Mario is doing well, he won't
be able to survive fighting the "Invincible" Tubba Blubba. The problem
is, as Kammy Koopa comes in and says, the Star Spirit got out of
Tubba's castle! Bowser and Kammy leave, and Peach says that she and
Twink need to find something out about Tubba.

Peach's Room-Go in the secret passage.

Bowser's Room-Leave through the right door.

2nd Floor Hall-Here is your first sneaking around. First, go to the
door on the far right.

Storeroom-Grab the Deep Focus Badge and put it in the treasure chest.
Anything you put in this treasure chest Mario can pick up at
Merluvlee's house (area 4 of Shooting Star Summit). Leave the room.

2nd Floor Hall-Go in the door to the left of Bowser's Room.

Library-Sneak past the over-predictable guards, grabbing Power Rush
along the way. Listen to the guards at the end talking about how Tubba
has a secret that could ruin him. If you look closely in the upper
left, you'll see a Life Shroom for some reason. The guards will catch
you and take you back to your room.

-Dry Dry Desert-

Area 3-The second Star Spirit, Mamar, boosts your Star Energy to 2 and
gives you Lullaby, which makes enemies fall asleep. Go back to the
railroad station in Mt. Rugged.

-Mt. Rugged-

Area 1-Before you leave, you might want to break the Rock Block and hit
the Super Block.

-Toad Town-

Area 4-Go up.

Area 3-Go right and see the guard and the Boo. The guard wants you to
check about the Boo. Go right to start...

---------------Chapter 3: The "Invincible" Tubba Blubba----------------

-Forever Forest-

Area 1-Save and go right. The Boo will appear and tell you to come to
Boo's Mansion in Forever Forest, and threatens to, quote, "get" you if
you don't come.

Area 2-In each area of the forest, the correct exit will have something
slightly different in the background near it. If you come into an area
and find a sign immediately after coming in, you've been screwed.
You're back at area 2. Here the sign is the spinning flowers.

Area 3-The sign here is eyes in a tree trunk when you get close to the
exit.

Area 4-This area's sign is the blue flowers.

Area 5-A face will appear in a tree if you go to the correct exit.

Area 6-The area's exit will have more mushrooms in the background near
it.

Area 7-If you check the flowers here, most will shrink. The ones that
spin are in front of the correct exit.

Area 8-The sign here is...well, a sign. Check it and hope that it says
Boo's Mansion, because it might be the one back to Toad Town.

Area 9-Here's Boo's Mansion. Go inside and see the butler will tell you
to go to the third floor.

-Boo's Mansion-

Area 1-This is the main hall. The butler told you to go to the third
floor, so do it. The problem is, there's no staircase. Go in the right
room on the second floor.

Area 2-Open the middle cabinet on the wall and Boos will come out.
You're trying to get the record, so keep a close eye on the one who has
it. Hammer that one, and pick up the record. Leave the room.

Area 1-Go in the door to your left.

Area 3-There's a record player here. Put the record on it and play it
by tapping A rhythmically. The Boo guarding the treasure chest will fly
over and begin to dance, so press B and run and open the treasure
chest. A Weight is inside. Also, check the fireplace and see the
fireworks fly! It is hilarious, and it doesn't hurt you, so don't
worry. Leave the room.

Area 1-Head downstairs and find the couch, and jump on the brown
cushion. You will jump and land on the chandelier, and it will open a
door behind a closet. Put the Weight on the chandelier, and go into the
newly-opened door.

Area 4-Go downstairs and in the door. Ignore the treasure chest.

Area 5-Go in the door on the right.

Area 6-Open the big treasure chest, and the Super Boots will come out!
Problem is, the Boos have it. Find out which one has it and hammer him.
You've got the Super Boots! You can now do a Spin Jump by hitting A in
the air. Practice on the board here.

Area 5-Breaking the board will land you in here. Hit the switch.
Another switch will fall. Hit it. Now a HUGE switch will fall. To hit
it, climb on the furniture and Spin jump on it. Stairs will appear. Go
up and in the upper door.

Area 4-Just go upstairs and in the door.

Area 1-Go into the door on your right.

Area 7-Before you break the board, jump in the pot. You will become 8-
bit Mario! After you're done playing around, break the board.

Area 8-You'll land on a bookcase. Use Parakarry to fly to the other
bookcase and grab the Boo's Portrait. Blow up the left wall to get out.

Area 4-You're back here. Go upstairs to get out.

Area 1-Now go to the empty picture frame and put the Boo's Portrait
inside. The Boo will say to jump toward the picture, so do just that.
You'll land on the third floor. Go in either door here.

Area 9-Here is Lady Bow. Bow will tell you about Tubba Blubba and how
he is eating the Boos. She agrees that if you help them and defeat
Tubba, she will give you the Star Spirit that the Boos found in the
forest, and forces you to take her along. "Bow joined the party--like
it or not!" ^_^ Now leave the mansion.

-Forever Forest-

Area 9-Go to the right.

-Gusty Gulch-

Area 1-Go right and Bow will tell the Boos to open the gate. Enter
Gusty Gulch and go right.

Area 2-The only thing here is a locked windmill. Continue right.

Area 3-Here is a save block and a few Boos. The Boos are surprised to
see Bow here, and she says she will defeat Tubba Blubba. Continue
right.

Area 4-Make sure you have Bow out now. Walk along and Tubba Blubba will
approach. Press Cv and become invisible, and Tubba will come and eat
one of the Boos. After he leaves, go right.

Area 5-Just go right, picking up the Dizzy Dial, Repel Gel and a
Letter. Save the repel gel for the boss.

Area 6-Keep going right.

Area 7-This is Tubba's castle. Go inside and make sure to keep Bow out
throughout the castle.

-Tubba Blubba's Castle-

Area 1-There are weird jellyfish things that will take you outside if
they catch you. Use Bow to become invisible and you will not be caught.
Go left.

Area 2-Just walk along. If some of the Clubbas are sleeping, walk
slowly or use the Slow Go Badge (see, I told you you'd use it) to avoid
waking them up. Go all the way to the left and in the door.

Area 3-Look out for the Clubbas and go in the upper door.

Area 4-Go downstairs and break the boards.

Area 5-Grab the key and hit the heart block. Go in the left door.

Area 6-Hit the badly-placed Super Block and go upstairs.

Area 3-Head back to the main hall, area 1.

Area 1-Head over to the door on the right and unlock it.

Area 7-Just go upstairs and left.

Area 1-You're on a walkway in the main hall. Just go left.

Area 8-Another hallway. The sleeping Clubba is standing right in front
of a cracked wall. Inside is a few boards and below one you can fly
across the gap to get the D-Down Jump Badge. But what you really want
to do is go in the upper door at the end of the hall.

Area 9-Uh-oh. Spikes are coming out of the floor. Figure out the
pattern and become invisible to not get hit. Grab the key and if you
want you can jump on the spikes (1 damage but can't kill you) to return
to the beginning of the room. Leave.

Area 8-Go in the left door.

Area 3-This is the upper floor of area 3. Just go right and defeat the
Clubba guarding the door.

Area 9-Grab the maple syrup and go upstairs.

Area 10-As you enter, Tubba Blubba will come in at the other end. DO
NOT FIGHT HIM unless you want to get your ass kicked. Use Bow's
invisibility, and after you get past him, RUN! Go in the upper door.

Area 11-There are tons of sleeping Clubbas here. Don't wake even one up
because the rest will get up too. At the end of the hall is a key.
Leave.

Area 10-Tubba Blubba has left. Go right.

Area 12-Hit the heart and save blocks.

Area 1-You're on the top of the main hall now. Go right.

Area 13-This is Tubba's bedroom. Go all the way to the right. Right
before you open the chest, however, Tubba will come in and fall asleep
on the bed. Open the chest and find Yakkey, and say yes to his
question. Yakkey will yell and wake up Tubba. As soon as you have
control, GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!

Area 1-As you try to leave, Tubba will come out and stomp the floor.
You will fall onto the second floor. Go in the door.

Area 7-RUN!

Area 1-Run outside.

-Gusty Gulch-

Area 7-As you come out, other Boos will come and block the door. Ignore
Tubba's wailing and run all the way to the locked windmill in area 2.

Area 2-Unlock the windmill.

-Windy Mill-

Area 1-Stomp the boards.

Area 2-Go right.

Area 3-5-These all look the same. Try not to fight the Hyper Goombas,
because you want to save your strength.

Area 6-As you come in, there is a heart on the stand. It turns out that
the reason Tubba is invincible is because his heart has been separated
from his body. Why Nintendo would want to put something like this is a
Mario game, I don't know. Anyway...

BOSS           HP    Attack    Defense
Tubba's Heart  50     6-12        0

This is a tough boss. Attack it with things like Power Jump and other
things that don't use much FP. When the heart charges up, use Bow's
Outta Sight or Repel Gel and PRAY that the attack misses. If it hits,
you lose 12 HP! Otherwise there shouldn't be much trouble (especially
if you use Repel Gel).

Once you beat the heart, it will run away. Follow it all the way out of
the mill.

-Gusty Gulch-

Area 2-As you exit the mill, Tubba will be there. His heart will go
into his body and...

BOSS          HP    Attack    Defense
Tubba Blubba  10       4         0

Reuniting with his heart was a mistake. Now he is not invincible, and
he's actually pretty easy.

After you beat him, Tubba returns all the ghosts (lucky he swallowed
them whole) and reveals that he really doesn't like to fight. He then
runs away. Bow says that before he was invincible, the Boos would
frighten him all the time. She then gives you the third Star Spirit
and...

END OF CHAPTER!

-Peach's Castle-

Peach's Room-Go in the passage.

Bowser's Room-As you enter, Bowser is talking to Kammy about how Mario
will probably go to Shy Guy's Toy Box next. Bowser will ask you about
Mario's weaknesses. Whatever you say will show up in front of key items
in Chapter 4, so choose Mushroom, Super Soda, and Thunder Rage. Kammy
seems suspicious, but Bowser orders it, so she does it anyway.

-Gusty Gulch-

Area 2-The third Star Spirit, Skolar, gives you more Star Energy and
gives you Star Storm, which does 7 damage to all enemies for 2 energy.
Before he leaves, he also asks to keep it a secret that he got lost in
Forever Forest ^_^. Head back to Toad Town.

-Forever Forest-

Area 8-On your way back, though, you will run into...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Jr. Troopa   40       5         1

This time, Jr. Troopa has wings, so you can't hammer him. He still
isn't that much of a threat, however, so just keep attacking until you
win.

Head back to Toad Town.

-Toad Town-

Area 3-As you enter, a Shy Guy will steal Tayce T.'s frying pan. Go
left.

Area 4-Twink will come and tell you that you should go to Shy Guy's Toy
Box. The problem is, where is it? Good thing you've got my guide. Go to
the house that is farthest to the left. Inside, take out Bow and become
invisible. A Shy Guy will come in, and open a secret door! Go in it and
you'll find a toy box and a trampoline.

Boing! Into...

------------------Chapter 4: Trials in the Toy Box---------------------

-Shy Guy's Toy Box-

Area 1-This is Blue Station. You can't use the train yet
because...well, because there's no train! Go left.

Area 2-Go left. I suggest you ignore the Anti Guy in front of the
treasure chest, because he's REALLY hard and you can buy the Badge he's
guarding for Star Pieces. If you fight, though...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Anti Guy     50     10-12       0

See, I told you he's hard. The one sure way to beat him is to use
Sleepy Sheep or Lullaby, because he's one of the few mini-bosses that
can actually be put to sleep. The problem is, once you run out of Star
Energy, you're screwed. I suggest coming back later.

If you actually beat him, open the chest to get the Power Plus Badge.
This may be an extremely good Badge, but you pretty much have to take
off everything else to put it on. Go left.

Area 3-There are several Shy Guys here with items on their heads. The
only one you really need is the calculator, which you give to Rowf so
he can open his shop back up. Go back to area 1.

Area 1-Go right.

Area 4-You will see Kammy Koopa put either an item or an enemy in front
of the chest, depending on what you picked as Peach. If you listened to
me, it should be a Mushroom. When you regain control, you'll see a lot
of jack-in-the-boxes. If you spin jump one, it will launch you
somewhere else in the room. When you find the houses, you can go inside
one. Grab the Storeroom Key and leave the Toy Box for now.

-Toad Town-

Area 5-Go to the shop and open the locked door. As thanks for getting
the key back, you can have the items in the storeroom. Go in and grab a
Snowman Doll, Volt Shroom, Dizzy Dial and the Toy Train. Head back to
the Toy Box and check it (not go in). Put in the Toy Train. Now go in.

-Shy Guy's Toy Box-

Area 1-Now that the train is here, you can ride it. Hit the right
button and talk to the Toad to go in the train. You will go to Pink
Station.

Area 5-This is Pink Station. There's a Mailbag here. Go right.

Area 6-Keep going right until you hit a wall. A Shy Guy will start
walking on the path, so follow him. When he gets to the rotating panel,
go in the opposite end so that you enter it. Go right and grab the Ice
Power Badge and the Frying Pan. Go back to Blue Station and leave the
Toy Box again.

-Toad Town-

Area 5-Head back to Tayce T.'s house in area 4.

Area 4-Give Tayce T. the Frying Pan and she'll bake you a cake. You
need this for something else in the Toy Box, so don't use it. Head back
to the Toy Box.

-Shy Guy's Toy Box-

Area 1-Take the train to Pink Station.

Area 6-Go left.

Area 7-Go left.

Area 8-Go left and you'll find Gourmet Guy. Give him the cake to make
him get out of the way, and he'll drop a Cookbook. You can give this to
Tayce T. so she can cook with two items at once. Go up and right.

Area 7-Go right.

Area 6-Trip the switch to fix the track. Go back around and ride the
train to Green Station.

Area 9-This is Green Station. See the boxes? Hit the yellow one, then
the green, then the red, and finally the blue. It'll fix the track. If
you want you can go right to area 10.

Area 10-The only things here are the Mystery Note and the Dictionary.
You would have had to use these to figure out the pattern for the
colored boxes, but I told you it, remember? To get through the net, use
Bow on the conveyor belt. There's also a slot machine here you can play
for free.

Area 9-Get on the train and go to Red Station.

Area 11-This is Red Station. Go left.

Area 12-Go left, but before you go in the next room, get on the last
stack of boxes and go on the platform that goes higher to find a Super
Block. Go left.

Area 13-This area is completely dark. As you enter, you will hear a
voice, and then you will fight...

MINI-BOSS          HP    Attack    Defense
Big Lantern Ghost  40      2-5        0

I suggest you use Bow for this battle. Since the room is dark, you
can't hit the Ghost since you can't see him. Use Bow to Smack the
lantern multiple times so you can see, then Power Jump the Ghost. When
he blows the lantern out, use Bow again, or if she is disabled from the
Ghost's Flash attack, use Power Bounce or anything else that hits
multiple times. It shouldn't be very hard.

After you beat him, check the lantern. Something is inside it! Hammer
the lantern to free Watt, who'll join your party. Use her Cv power to
light up the room so you can get out. Head back to Red Station.

Area 11-Go right.

Area 14-A Shy Guy will jump over the wall. Blow up the wall and all the
Shy Guys will panic and run away. Go right. To get the Shooting Star on
the block, use Watt to see the invisible block that you can stand on to
reach the block with Kooper. Go right.

Area 15-Take out Watt and light up the room. The Shy Guys will break
the wall. Go in.

Area 16-Heeeeeeeeeeeere's...

BOSS            HP    Attack    Defense
Shy Squad       15     1xHP        0
Stilt Guy        7       4         0
Shy Stack       10       4         0
General Guy     30       4         2

First off, General Guy will send out the Shy Squad. If you're wondering
about what their attack is, it's that they do 1 damage for each Shy Guy
left in the Squad, but they're all separate so you can block every one
with the action command.

Next come the Stilt Guys. You can use Quake Hammer to knock them off
their stilts if you want, it will decrease their attack dramatically.

After this comes the Shy Stacks. If you use Spin Smash, you can make
the stack shorter, but you don't need to. These are easy enough.

The other enemies were just to annoy you till you came to...General
Guy! This is why I told you to bring Watt, because she can do a LOT of
damage against the General's 2 defense, since her attacks go right
through it. First off, use Star Storm, and from then on, hit the Bulb
until it breaks. After the Bulb is gone, you shouldn't have that much
trouble beating the General.

All the Shy Guys run away in panic, and leave behind the card that
holds the fourth Star Spirit. Touch it and...

END OF CHAPTER!

-Peach's Castle-

Peach will suggest to Twink to try and get out again.

Peach's Room-Head through the passage and out the door in Bowser's
room.

2nd Floor Hall-Go in the door to the right of the locked one.

Dining Room-Wow, Gourmet Guy launched himself so high he reached the
castle. Anyway, he'll give you the key to the first floor. Go there.

1st Floor Hall-The guards here are trickier than on the second floor.
Go downstairs and right, then up, into the door.

Kitchen-Oh, boy. We get to bake a cake. Twink will tell you all the
directions, so I don't need to list them. I suggest you get a watch for
the baking part because it is VERY unforgiving. Once you are done,
leave the room and you will automatically return to the dining room.

Dining Room-Give the cake to Gourmet Guy. You should have gotten it
right. If you didn't, don't worry because you won't have to sneak
around, you will go automatically to the kitchen. Check out what he
says if you get it wrong! "Where did you learn to cook? Bus driving
school?" Anyway, if you have it right, Gourmet Guy will tell you about
how the fifth Spirit is on Lavalava Island. He will leave, and Kammy
will come in and catch you.

-Toad Town-

Area 5-Muskular, the fourth Star Spirit, puts your Star Energy up to 4
and gives you Chill Out, which makes all enemies' attack power -3 for
about 5 turns. Twink will come in and give you the information about
Lavalava Island while Muskular is there. "I spoke with Muskular, the
honorable Star Spirit! I'm shaking!" Anyway, go buy some items if you
need them and then head to the left.

Area 6-This is the docks. Head to the lower left to find Kolorado and a
whale; Spin Jump it. It will surface and ask you to check its stomach
(eeeeeeeew). Go in it.

-Whale's Belly-

Area 1-Take out Watt and head right.

Area 2-There is a Fuzzipede here. Touch it.

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Fuzzipede    20       3         0

Not much strategy needed here. You'll probably need Quake Hammer,
though, when he goes on the ceiling.

After you beat Fuzzipede, the whale will blow you out. He'll thank you
and offer to take you anywhere you want to go. Kolorado will suggest
Lavalava Island. Get on the whale.

After you get over your seasickness, you'll be at...

-------------Chapter 5: Hot Hot Times On Lavalava Island---------------

-Lavalava Beach-

Area 1-The whale will drop you off here. Head down and right.

Area 2-You'll hear Kolorado yelling for help, so go right and defeat
the extremely annoying Jungle Fuzzies attacking him. Chill Out is VERY
useful against them, as it will nullify their attacks. Go right.

-Yoshi's Village-

Area 1-Go all the way to the right.

Area 2-Take a rest at the Toad House and go right.

-Lavalava Jungle-

Area 1-Go right and kill the Spear Guys attacking Kolorado. You'll see
the volcano, but you can't get there yet, so go back to the left.

-Yoshi's Village-

Area 2-Oh no! The little Yoshis have gone! The fat Yoshi leader will
ask you to find them. Go up.

-Lavalava Jungle-

Area 2-Check the bushes to make them spread apart and go right.

Area 3-Go to the center island to find Sushie in a tree. Hit it three
times to get her out. She will join your party. Head back to the left.

Area 2-Use Sushie to get the Power Quake Badge in the red ? block, and
head to the left.

Area 4-Swim onto the middle island, and go right and down to find a
Super Block. Get back on the dock and swim to the other dock. You'll
hear a Yoshi crying. Go and make the bushes spread apart to find him,
but beware because one of the bushes you must move is an M. Bush enemy.
Save the red Yoshi behind the bush, get on the middle island, and go
up.

Area 5-Get on the northernmost island and jump on the spinning flower.
Hold Z while you're on it to spin up to the top of the island. Go in
the pipe and save the green Yoshi. Afterwards, get in the water and go
left.

Area 6-Get on the island and hit the stump to make a bridge out of it,
then go left and save the blue Yoshi. Head back to the right.

Area 5-Go to the right.

Area 7-Again, go to the right.

Area 8-Here you'll see the yellow Yoshi being attacked by...

MINI-BOSS            HP    Attack    Defense
Putrid Piranha x2    12      2-3        0

This fight is really easy. Just try to block the breath attack because
it can poison you.

After saving the yellow Yoshi, head left.

Area 7-Get in the water and head down.

Area 2-Hit the tree to get the purple Yoshi out of it, then go down and
hit the stump to make a bridge back to the village. Go there.

-Yoshi's Village-

Area 2-Head left.

Area 1-Go to the middle island and talk to the fat Yoshi. He'll give
you the Jade Raven. Now head back to Area 7 of the jungle.

-Lavalava Jungle-

Area 7-Place the Jade Raven in the big raven statue to make it move out
of the way, then head up.

Area 9-Check the bushes in the upper right to move them out of the way.
Head up.

Area 10-Pull the vines to make stuff happen. The second from the left
gives you a Fire Flower, and the second from the right opens the path.
The others contain enemies. Head up.

Area 11-Go right to find...

MINI-BOSS          HP    Attack    Defense
Putrid Piranha x3  12      2-3        0
W Magikoopa        11       3         0

Your first target should be the W Magikoopa, because it has healing
powers. Otherwise, this fight is a cinch.

Head right.

Area 12-Go in the hole in the tree.

Area 13-Go upstairs.

Area 14-Go up the tree. Past the hole in the tree is the Happy Heart
Badge. Go in the hole.

Area 15-Go upstairs.

Area 16-Here you'll meet Raphael the Raven, the coolest guy this side
of Super Mario World 2. (But he's good this time.) He'll call in the
little Ravens (wow! They have big feet) and drop off the side of the
tree. Follow him.

Area 12-Raphael will move a root out of the way. Go past it and right.

Area 1-The Ravens will make a zip line to the volcano. Before he
leaves, Raphael gives you the Ultra Stone, giving you the power to
upgrade members to Ultra Rank. Behind one of the leaves is Jammin'
Jelly. Grab it, then get on the elevator and zip line down to Mt.
Lavalava.

-Mt. Lavalava-

Area 1-Put on the Ice Power Badge NOW! Not only does it give you 2 more
attack against fire enemies, it also lets you jump on them without
taking damage. Head right. A Piranha Plant will pop up and act like an
alarm, and then will go away. Head right.

Area 2-Kolorado will be an idiot and hit the lava. Be careful of the
rocks here, as they sink. Jump across and head right.

Area 3-Get on the zip line and head right.

Area 4-Pass the flames and hit the Super Block, then head back to the
left.

Area 3-Go left. Ignore the trampoline and head downstairs. Save here.
There's a Metal Block here, which must mean you'll be getting... Grab
the zip line. If you jump off at the right time, you'll land on a
platform with the Fire Shield Badge. If you forgot to get the Ice Power
Badge put this on RIGHT NOW! Go down and left.

Area 5-Just go left.

Area 6-Go up and fly across the lava, then push the blue blocks in it
to hinder the flow. Go down and fly across it to the left.

Area 7-Push the two blue blocks into the lava next to each other, then
get on and use Parakarry to fly across. Open the treasure chest to get
the Ultra Hammer! Yay! Return to the Save block in Area 3.

Area 3-Save and smash the Metal Block. Go in the passage where it was.

Area 8-Watch Kolorado fall off the cliff, then get on the zip line. If
you drop off at the shaft of light, you'll land on a platform with a
Super Block. At the end of the line, go right.

Area 9-Take out Bow and head to the right. A rock will drop from the
ceiling and start rolling right at you. Use Bow to have it pass through
you, then go right.

Area 10-Jump on the moving platform and head right, avoiding the
flames. The last one you may have to jump repeatedly while you wait for
the platform to come.

Area 11-Go all the way to the right and you'll find a wall and a blue
block. Kolorado will rush in and say that he thinks the treasure is
close. Push the blue block to the left as far as it can go, then smash
all the Metal Blocks with your hammer. After you hit the last one, the
rock will start to roll, so use Bow and watch as Kolorado is run over
and the wall is smashed. Go right.

Area 12-Go all the way to the right.

Area 13-In here is a Super Shroom and a Maple Syrup. Kolorado is here
too, but the treasure isn't. Go back to the left.

Area 12-Hit the Heart Block, go downstairs, save, and go right. A
Piranha plant will pop up, act as an alarm again, then disappear. Go
right.

Area 13-As you go right, something will pop out of the lava...

BOSS           HP    Attack    Defense
Lava Piranha   40       5         0
Lava Bud x2     8       4         0

DEFINITELY have Sushie out for this one. Use Chill out, then Water
Block. Now the Lava Buds' attacks will be nullified, and the Lava
Piranha's will do 1! Just attack, attack, attack! If Chill Out runs
out, use it again.

The Lava Piranha will fall into the lava. Star Points come out, and the
victory music plays, but wait! We ain't done yet! The Lava Piranha will
pop back out of the lava, this time on fire!

BOSS           HP    Attack    Defense
Lava Piranha   40       7         0
Lava Bud x2     8      n/a        0
Petit Piranha   1       6         0

You probably have run out of Star Power by now, but it's easier here.
Use Tidal Wave, and if enough damage is caused the Piranhas will be
stunned! Just keep attacking. You shouldn't lose too much HP here, but
you'll probably need to restore FP a few times.

This time, the Lava Piranha's gone for good. Touch the card to free the
fifth Star Spirit, and...

END-WAIT! The chapter's not over yet!

The fifth Star Spirit will tell you to try to get out. Head right.

Area 14-Run up the stairs. The lava will start to rise, so blow up the
wall at the top.

Area 15-Just get up the stairs as fast as you can! When you get to the
top, you're safe. Kolorado is inches from the treasure, but the Star
Spirit grabs him and you and pulls you out of the volcano before it
erupts. Something besides lava also pops out...

-Peach's Castle-

Peach's Room-Peach will ask Twink to see if they can get out again.
Head in the passage to Bowser's room and then exit the room.

2nd Floor Hall-Hug the wall and head to the 1st floor.

1st Floor Hall-Head to the room on the far left.

Quiz Room-The guards will see you, but one of them suggests letting you
play their "little game." You will be asked 10 questions about the
game. Press A to buzz in.

Questions:
What's the name of the boss inside the volcano on Lavalava Island? Lava
Piranha.
Where did Master Huff N. Puff imprison the Star Spirit? Flower Fields.
What's the name of the scary round monster living in Dry Dry Ruins?
Chomp.
How would you get to Flower Fields? Pass Flower Gate.
What's the name of the person who King Bowser really loves? Princess
Peach. (O_o)
What thing is most deeply related to Flower Fields? Flower.

Boo.
What's the name of the area just to the south of the post office in
Toad Town? The Flower Garden.
Where is Peach's Castle now? On Bowser's Castle.

If you win, you'll get Jammin' Jelly, good for 50 FP. Even if you don't
win, you'll get the Sneaky Parasol, which will allow you to become
someone else when you point it at them and press B.

Bowser will come in and ask to play, not noticing Peach. After learning
the game's over, he sees Peach and sends her back to her room.

-Lavalava Jungle-

Area 1-The fifth Star Spirit, Misstar, will grant you a fifth Star
Energy Unit and give you Smooch, which will give you 20 HP back at the
rather expensive price of 3 Star Energy. Kolorado is still depressed
that he didn't get the treasure, and will head back to the village.
Follow him.

-Yoshi's Village-

Area 2-Head into the jungle.

-Lavalava Jungle-

Area 2-Go to the right.

Area 3-Now, in the spot where you found Sushie, there is a treasure
chest. Open it for the Volcano Vase. Now go back to Kolorado and give
it to him. He'll give you the Magical Seed, one of 4 needed to open
Chapter 6. Now go back to the whale, and head back to Toad Town.

-Toad Town-

Area 6-After you get off the whale, Jr. Troopa will show up. Apparently
he swam all the way across the ocean and back to get to you...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Jr. Troopa   20       6         1

..which halved his HP. Now he's got a spike AND wings. So what? You
should have Spike Shield on, and even if you don't, just use Star Storm
and Shell Shot. Very easy.

Head to the Toad House near the post office.

Area 2-Ever wonder what that little arch in the Flower Garden is for?
Well, it's the gate to Chapter 6. But how do you get there? You need
the 4 Magical Seeds. Now, where are they, you ask? Here:

You should have one from Kolorado already.
Mt. Rugged, Area 4-Go here and go all the way to the right without
going up the ramp. Use Parakarry to fly across the gap and talk to the
Bub-Ulb for the seed.
Forever Forest, Area 4-In the middle of this area is another Bub-Ulb.
Toad Town, Area 3-The final Bub-Ulb is planted conveniently in the
middle of Toad Town. It's on the right side of the area.

Now, take all these seeds to Minh T. in the Flower Garden and she'll
plant them. The arch in the middle will light up and a door will
appear.

Step into the light! No, it doesn't take you to heaven, it takes you
to...

---------------Chapter 6: Dark Days in Flower Fields----------------

-Flower Fields-

Area 1-As you enter you will be immediately greeted by the tree you
just came through. He identifies himself as Wise Wisterwood and says
Flower Fields is in trouble. Huff N. Puff has built a cloud machine,
causing the sun to drop from the sky and filling the entire land with
clouds. If nothing is done, everything in Flower Fields will die. He
tells you to go see Petunia for a Magic Bean.
Now, this is the main area of Flower Fields. Every other part branches
off from here. You can also go back to Toad Town whenever you like by
talking to Wise Wisterwood, as there is no Toad House here. Anyway, go
directly right.

Area 2-There are three trees here. Hit the middle, right, then left for
the Happy Flower Badge, then head right.

Area 3-Here is Petunia. She'll be happy to give you the Magic Bean, if
you defeat the Monty Moles attacking her. Not much trouble. Also hit
the tree in the back for a Red Berry. You need it, so don't use it. Now
head back to Area 1.

Area 1-Head down and left.

Area 4-Give the flower the Red Berry to have him let you pass, then go
all the way left. Grab a Yellow Berry from the tree along the way.

Area 5-Here is Posie. She'll give you the Fertile Soil. Now head back
to Area 1.

Area 1-Go down and right.

Area 6-Give the flower the Yellow Berry then continue right. You'll
want to save the Super Block for another member that's going to join
you very soon. Also grab a Blue Berry from the tree along the way.

Area 7-Just head right. Ignore the Bubble Tree for now.

Area 8-Here is Lily. Being a lilypad, she needs to be on water to
survive. However, all the water has left her fountain, and the Water
Stone, which produces an endless stream of water, has gone missing.
Head back to Area 1.

Area 1-Go directly left.

Area 9-Give the plant a Blue Berry and continue left.

Area 10-There's a hedge maze here. As you enter, two Lakitus will
appear looking for the Water Stone. They'll see you and...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Lakitu x2    12       3         0
Spiny x2      5       4         3

Not much difficulty here. Use Star Storm to obliterate the Spinys, then
attack the Lakitus.

Now, go through the hedge maze to the pipe in the center. You can go
through some walls in the hedge maze, so try walking through the walls
if it looks like you're at a dead end. Go in the pipe then go left.

Area 11-Here is Rosie. Talk to her. She has the Water Stone, but will
only give it up if you find something even more beautiful for her, so
go to Posie (area 5) and ask her for a Crystal Berry. Take it back to
Rosie and she'll give you the Water Stone. Now, go over to Lily in area
8.

Area 8-Put the Water Stone in the hole in the fountain and it will
start to shoot out water. Lily will give you some Miracle Water for
saving her. Head left.

Area 7-Now the lake is filled with water. Use Sushie to get to the
Bubble Tree, grab a Bubble Berry, and then go back to area 1.

Area 1-Go up and left.

Area 12-Give the Bubble Plant a Bubble Berry and he'll float you across
the thorns. Go left.

Area 13-Climb to the top of the structure and blow up the rock to drop
in and get the Mega Smash Badge (very helpful!). Keep going left.

Area 14-Blow up the rock on the side of the building to make the stairs
reachable, then climb them to find the Sun. Apparently, he can't rise
into the sky because of all the clouds coming from the Puff Puff
Machine. He says it's in the northeast though. Guess you know what that
means: let's destroy it! Head back to the right.

Area 13-When you get here, a sunglass-wearing Lakitu shows up. He seems
like he doesn't want to fight you, but...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Spike???     50       4         0

VERY easy. Just keep attacking unless your HP gets low, and that
shouldn't happen unless it's low coming into the battle. Shell Shot
will make the battle very fast.

"Spike" says that you should finish him off, but his girlfriend runs in
and asks you to forgive him. Spike will ask you what you're fighting
for. Whatever you say, Lakilester will join your team (but he insists
on being called Spike).

Head back to area 1, using Lakilester to get over the thorns.

Area 1-Go up and right.

Area 15-To get to the other side of the thorn pit, follow these steps:

1.Stomp the red platform.
2.Ride Lakilester to the other side.
3.Stomp the green platform.
4.Stomp the blue platform.
5.Ride Lakilester back.
6.Stomp the green platform.
7.Ride back.
8.Stomp the green platform.
9.Stomp the right-side blue platform.

Head right. Also grab the Super Block.

Area 16-Just go right.

Area 17-Here is the Puff Puff Machine. Talk to the guys surrounding it
and...

MINI-BOSS      HP    Attack    Defense
Y Magikoopa    11       3         0
Lakitu x3      12       3         0

Another easy battle. Just make sure to take out the Magikoopa first so
he can't electrify anyone.

When they are defeated, hammer the Puff Puff Machine in different
places until it breaks. The clouds will disappear, and the Sun will
rise into the sky. Head back to area 1.

Area 1-First of all, head back to Toad Town and nap, and come back and
get another Super Block for Lakilester in area 6. He should be Ultra
Ranked now. Go to the brown patch of dirt in the middle of the area and
plant the Fertile Soil, THEN the Magical Bean, THEN the Miracle Water.
The bean will grow into a beanstalk, so get on the leaf and ride it up!

Area 18-On an even higher cloud is the S. Jump Chg. Badge. Grab it and
put it on, cause it will be VERY helpful in the upcoming battle. Head
right.

Area 19-Go up the steps, and touch the brown cloud. It's not really a
cloud, it's...

BOSS           HP    Attack    Defense
Huff N. Puff   60     5-12        0
Tuff Puff       1       2         0

Lakilester is your best bet for this one. For every point of damage you
inflict, a Tuff Puff will appear. Use Lakilester's Spiny Surge to take
out every one.

The first thing you want to do is cast Chill Out. Not only will it drop
Huff's attack by 3, but any Tuff Puffs formed will also have -3 attack,
making their attack zero! After that, just make sure to take out all
Tuff Puffs so Huff can't suck them back in and get his HP back. If
Chill Out runs out, use it again. You probably will run out of Star
Power, but when you do, Huff should be practically dead.

Huff N. Puff will explode, leaving behind the card with the sixth Star
Spirit. Touch it and...

END OF CHAPTER!

-Peach's Castle-

Peach thinks she can use the Sneaky Parasol to get out of the castle.

Peach's Room-You should know by now...get in the passage and exit
Bowser's room.

2nd floor Hall-There are two Koopatrols talking, so go up behind one
and press B to use the Sneaky Parasol and become one. Also, this is
your last chance to put any items Peach is carrying into the treasure
chest in the storeroom. Go upstairs and talk to the guard to make him
move.

Staircase 1-Go upstairs and talk to the Koopatrol in front of the door.
He'll tell you to find the Clubba that is normally operating his shift
now, and will give you the key to the front of the castle. Go there.

Castle Front-There is a sleeping Clubba here. Press B to become Peach
again, then use the Sneaky Parasol to turn into the Clubba. Go back to
the guard.

Staircase 1-The guard will leave. Go in the door.

3rd Floor Hall-Go right.

Staircase 2-Go upstairs.

Top Path-Go left and Kammy will come out of the door, saying that even
if Mario shows up, they'll be prepared. Kammy will also find out
somehow that you are Peach, and will send you back to your room.

-Flower Fields-

Area 1-The sixth Star Spirit, Klevar, will boost your Star Energy to 6
and will give you Time Out, which will stop time and freeze all enemies
in their tracks for a few turns. Now head back to Toad Town.

-Toad Town-

Area 2-Head to Merlon's house and you will see a Ninji talking with
him. The Ninji says Merlon's son, Merle, wants to talk to you at his
house in Starborn Valley. He then leaves. Leave the house and go down.

Area 3-Find the pipe and go in it.

-Toad Town Tunnels-

Note: Although you only have to go through a few areas to get to
Chapter 7, I'm going to map out the whole place because there are a
whopping 4 Super Blocks here, plus I've neglected it in the past.

Area 1-Go right, save, and smash the Block.

Area 2-Go right.

Area 3-Go right and find...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Blooper      30       3         0

3 attack? That's a joke. Easy.

Grab the Shrink Stomp Badge, and head back to area 1.

Area 1-Hit the Rock Block on the left and go in the passage.

Area 4-Here's...

MINI-BOSS         HP    Attack    Defense
Electro Blooper   50       4         0

Another easy boss. Just use a non-physical attack when he electrifies
himself.

Pipes to Goomba Village, Koopa Village, and Dry Dry Outpost will pop
up. Go left.

Area 5-Ride up the platform and go left into the pipe.

Area 6-The passage to the left has the Power Smash Badge in it, but
with your Mega Smash, who needs it? Get on one of the platforms to
lower it and raise the other, then go in the upper passage.

Area 7-Ride the platform up and drop in the other hole for a Super
Block, then use the pipe to get out and go left.

Area 6-Go in the lower pipe.

Area 8-Smash the Metal Block, grab the Super Block, then return to area
1.

Area 1-Smash the wooden boards.

Area 9-Go to the left.

Area 10-Defeat the Dark Koopas to make a pipe to Boo's Mansion appear
and open the door. Keep going left.

Area 11-Use Watt to see the invisible blocks, then use the blue block
as a stepping stone to hit them and make a bridge to the Super Block.
Head back to area 9.

Area 9-Swim across the water with Sushie, and find...

MINI-BOSS      HP    Attack    Defense
Super Blooper  70     5-20        0
Blooper Baby    6       2         0

Now how'd this get underground? Unlike the other Bloopers, this one
will actually present a challenge, so be prepared. It has 4 attacks:
smash you (5), squirt you with ink (5), create two Blooper Babies, or
charge up and smash twice in a row (20!). Your plan should still be the
same though: attack! Use Star Storm to kill the Blooper Babies when
they appear.

After you kill the Super Blooper, a pipe to Yoshi's Village will
appear. Head right.

Area 12-Go up, use Lakilester to cross the spikes, then go down the
pipe.

Area 13-Go around the path, smash the Rock Block, and go left.

Area 14-Go left, smash the Metal Block, then go in the passage.

Area 15-Hit the block to make the trampoline fall, then jump over the
wall. Open the chest for the Ultra Boots! Yay! To hit the other block,
use a now-accessible Tornado Jump by pressing A in the air. It sends
you higher than a normal jump. Now backtrack to area 12.

Area 12-Cross back over the spikes, then go right.

Area 16-Go in the pipe.

Area 17-The bottom of the right wall has no concrete base. Blow it up.

Area 18-Here is Rip Cheato. He will sell you an item for 64 coins, but
he won't tell you what it is until you buy it. Here's what he sells
(always in this order):

1.Star Piece
2.Life Shroom
3.Bump Attack Badge
4.Repel Gel
5.Star Piece
6.Super Shroom
7.Mushroom
8.Dried Shroom (bleh)
9.Dried Shroom (double bleh)
10.Star Piece
11 and up.Dried Shroom (triple bleh)

If you go in the pipe, you can get into the locked house in Toad Town.
Nothing there though, just the key to get out. Head back to area 16.

Area 16-Use Watt to see the invisible blocks, then use the Tornado Jump
to reach each one and make a bridge. Go in the door.

Area 19-Go in the pipe.

Area 20-Go left for a Super Block, then go in the pipe on the right to
start...

------------------Chapter 7: A Star Spirit on Ice---------------------

-Shiver City-

Area 1-Save, nap, and head left.

Area 2-Go all the way to the left and go in the big house. The Mayor of
Shiver City's wife will be there, and tell you to go in. Do so and find
the Mayor motionless on the floor, with a note in his hand reading
"Herringway". His wife will come in, see him, and think he's been
murdered. The police will come in. Although he thinks you did it, he
gives you a chance. If you're not the real murderer, then you must find
the real murderer. You also can't leave the city until you find him.
Leave and head right two areas.

Area 3-Use the Tornado Jump on the icy lake three times to shatter it.
Use Sushie and dive to get the Warehouse Key. Use it on the nearby
locked door. Climb up the stairs, use the trampoline, and slide down
the roof to the other roof. Drop in the chimney to find the novelist,
Herringway. You'll tell him that the Mayor has been murdered, and that
he was holding a note saying Herringway. Herringway will drop down
stairs (cool), and head over to the Mayor's house. Follow.

Area 2-Inside the Mayor's house, the police-penguin will find the note
marked "Herringway" and will accuse him of the murder. But then
something unexpected happens: the Mayor wakes up. Turns out all that
happened was that he hit his head on the floor reaching for a present
on a shelf, and the note in his hand was just going to be pinned to the
present. Now you can leave the city from the right side of area 3. Do
so.

-Shiver Snowfield-

Area 1-Walk along the path, until you run into...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Jr. Troopa   50      8-9        1

Jr. Troopa has ditched the spike and wings this time in favor of a
magical staff. It does provide him with extra attack power, but at this
stage you should still be able to take him out without a lot of
trouble.

Keep heading to the right.

Area 2-Ignore the snowmen and head right.

Area 3-Keep going...As you reach the end of this area, a monster will
pop up. It will tell you to go away, so say you want to fight it...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Monstar      20       1         0

This guy looks scary, but take a look at that attack power and laugh.
Do you really need a strategy now?

Turns out the Monstar was just a bunch of little Star Kids bunched
together. They'll run away. Now go right.

-Starborn Valley-

Area 1-As you enter, Merle will greet you. He will tell you to follow
him, so do so.
As you enter his house, Merle will tell you dreadful news. Here in
Starborn Valley, where Stars are born (don't ask) and raised before
they rise into the sky, the Stars are unable to rise up because of
Bowser's possession of the Star Rod. If nothing is done, there will be
no more Stars rising into the sky, and no more wishes will be granted.
Looks like you gotta do something about it. Merle will give you the
Fabulous Scarf and will tell you to visit the Mayor in Shiver City. Now
backtrack all the way there.

-Shiver City-

Area 2-Talk to the Mayor and he will give you the Marvelous Bucket. Now
go to area 2 of Shiver Snowfield, where the snowmen are.

-Shiver Snowfield-

Area 2-Now, you're probably wondering what's so special about the
Fabulous Scarf and Marvelous Bucket. Well, nothing really. But some of
the snowmen are missing stuff. Put the Scarf and Bucket on them. They
will open the door to Shiver Mountain. Enter.

-Shiver Mountain-

Area 1-Head right and fall into the pit. Tornado Jump the ice to break
it, then hit the switch. It'll rise up. Continue right.

Area 2-Take out Kooper and hit the switch. When he slides back, two
Koopers will be there. They'll tell you to hammer the one you think is
fake, so hit the one on the left and...

MINI-BOSS      HP    Attack    Defense
Duplighost x2  15      4-5        0

The catch about these guys is that they can become one of your party
members and use their abilities. Still, they should be easy.

Continue right, but don't forget to hit the Super Block along the way.

Area 3-There are three good items here. If you take one out, an ice
wall will fall and make it impossible to go on. If you want one of the
items, you need to drop another item (doesn't matter what) in the altar
to get the ice out of the way. Keep going...

Area 4-Go right and jump off the cliff. Keep going to find a cracked
wall; blow it up. Go in.

Area 5-Walk straight through the fake wall. You'll see the Star Stone
in an ice block. Merlar, Merlon's ancestor, will appear. She'll tell
you a boring story then will give you the Star Stone. Leave.

Area 4-Go over to the stairs and walk right through the opening to get
back up. Go up the stairs and put the Star Stone in the hole. Stairs
will appear. Go up them, grabbing the Mega Jump Badge along the way.
Save, use the heart block, then enter the Crystal Palace.

-Crystal Palace-

Area 1-Go right.

Area 2-Go in the lower door.

Area 3-Ignore the X and go through the door.

Area 4-Keep going...

Area 5-Open the chest for the Blue Key, then head back to area 2.

Area 2-Go right. Your Blue Key won't work on a red door, so stomp the
switch to lower the blue one. Go in it.

Area 6-Go right and blow up the wall.

Area 7-Note your reflection doesn't show in this room. There's a hole
in the mirror, so go through and go left on the upper side.

Area 6-The things on the other side of the mirror weren't your
reflection, they were...

MINI-BOSS      HP    Attack    Defense
Duplighost x2  15      4-5        0

Keep going left.

Area 2-Go in the upper door.

Area 8-Break open the boards then immediately backtrack to the lower
part of area 2.

Area 2-Go in the lower door.

Area 3-Now that you broke the boards on the other side of the palace,
the X is gone too. Drop in and go right.

Area 9-Go right and blow up the wall. When you do, four other Bombettes
will appear. You can tell which one is real by talking to them. The
real one will say she'll never forgive you if you hit her, so hammer
everyone else. That was easy. Go right.

Area 10-Open the chest for the Red Key and backtrack to area 2.

Area 2-Hit the switch to raise the red door, then unlock it and go in.

Area 11-Go in the lower door.

Area 12-Note the White Clubba statues on the other side of the hall.
The only way to destroy them is to beat the Clubbas on this side of the
hall. Do so and go in the now accessible door.

Area 13-Send Bombette over to the switch, then stand on the rotating
platform as she blows up. You'll spin over to the other side. Go in the
door.

Area 14-Just go right.

Area 15-Go right until you see the little slot in the hole. Your
reflection is doing what you should do, so kick Kooper in there. When
he comes back he'll have Luigi, Goompa, Kolorado, and Koopa Koot with
him, each claiming to be Kooper. Now who do you think is the real
Kooper? No, it's not a trick. Don't worry. Now go right.

Area 16-Ignore the lower door and head right.

Area 17-There is a switch on the other side of the mirror, so use
Kooper to hit where the switch would be on your side. A bridge will
appear. Go across.

Area 18-Go up and out the upper door.

Area 17-Keep going...

Area 16-Go in the upper door.

Area 19-Go find the dinosaur statue. You can only push it in the
direction it's facing, so push it that way. Now backtrack all the way
to the other side of area 16.

Area 16-Go in the lower door.

Area 20-Go right and see that the big dinosaur statue has moved. Drop
in the hole and go right.

Area 21-Keep going...

Area 22-Open the chest for the Palace Key and go back to area 18, the
room with the locked doors.

Area 18-Unlock either door and go in.

Area 23-In this room you have to push the statues onto the squares, but
you can only push them in the direction they're facing. To change their
direction, talk to any of the live dinosaurs from different sides.
After you've solved the puzzle, a door will appear. Go in it.

Area 24-Heal and save. Guess you know what's next...

Area 25-You guessed it, it's...

BOSS          HP    Attack    Defense
Crystal King  70     6-18        2
Crystal Bit    1      n/a        0

Another battle where Lakilester is key. The King can dish out a
whopping 18 damage if his Crystal Bits stay alive for the turn, so take
them out quickly with Lakilester.

This is an annoying boss. Not only do you have to take out his Crystal
Bits every other turn, the King can freeze you for two turns, and
freeze you again when you thaw. If you have the Dodge Master Badge,
this would be a good place to use it to keep yourself unfrozen.

Another annoying aspect of the boss is his longevity. First of all, he
has his 2 defense to break through (D-Down Pound, anyone?), but he also
brings in something other bosses can't do: HEAL! He can heal for a
****ing 20 damage in one turn! AAAAAAA!

So, down to business. At first, you'll alternate between killing
Crystal Bits and the King while keeping yourself unfrozen. He will heal
about once or twice during this phase, then when he loses about half
his HP he'll go into the second phase.

Now the King creates two copies of himself, but only one is real. If
you have an attack that hits multiple enemies, use it. If you don't,
it's just guesswork. He won't heal as much now, so keep it up until
he's dead.

The King will dissipate into mere snow, leaving behind the card that
holds the final Star Spirit. You know the drill...

END OF CHAPTER!

-Peach's Castle-

No playing as Peach this time, folks. Bowser will come into the room,
and talk to Peach. Suddenly, Kammy will rush in, saying Mario has saved
all the Star Spirits. Bowser has Peach tied up, and prepares an ambush
for Mario. Suddenly, Twink finally makes himself known, but is simply
knocked out the window.

-Crystal Palace-

Area 1-Kalmar, the final Star Spirit, will boost your Star Energy to
its maximum of 7 and grant you Up & Away, which, if successful, will
obliterate all enemies onscreen, turning them into stars. He also will
tell you to go to Shooting Star Summit. So backtrack ALL the way back
to Toad Town, stock up on items, and get ready for the final showdown!

-Shooting Star Summit-

Area 3-The Star Spirits will create a shaft of light that goes to the
sky. Step in!

-Star Way-

Area 1-Just head right through the path, killing the Embers along the
way.

-Star Haven-

Area 1-This is just like any other town. Heal and stock up on items,
cause you're gonna need them. Surprisingly, Chuck Quizmo can also show
up here. Anyway, when you're done, head right.

Area 2-This is the Star Sanctuary. Head inside.

Area 3-The seven Star Spirits will combine their power to grant you
Star Beam, the only thing that is capable of counteracting the Star
Rod. They will also conjure up the legendary Star Ship to take you to
Bowser's Castle. Step inside for one hell of a ride and the final
area...

-----------------Chapter 8: A Star-Powered Showdown!-------------------

-Bowser's Castle-

Area 1-Save and head out the door.

Area 2-Go across the bridge to find the locked door, then head right
into the other door.

Area 3-Head right until you find a Koopatrol, then kill it for a Castle
Key. Head back to the locked door in area 2 and unlock it.

Area 4-Head right. Kill as many enemies as you are capable of in the
entire castle, because they leave behind ludicrous amounts of Star
Points and can level you up very quickly.

Area 5-Just another hallway. Keep heading right.

Area 6-As you enter this room, the Bowser door on the opposite side
will tell you to stand in front of him to pass through. When you do,
he'll drop you down into the jail, saying he'll only let you through
his door if you get out.

Area 7-Hit the Heart Block, stomp the boxes for a Life Shroom and Tasty
Tonic, then blow up the right wall.

Area 3-You're on the other side of this area now. You can ride across
the lava to the left but all that's there is the Deep Focus Badge. Save
and head right.

Area 8-Use Parakarry to cross the lava pits, then jump across the
sinking platforms.

Area 9-Use Lakilester or Kooper to hit the switches and ride the
platforms across, then use Parakarry to get past the gaps. Ignore the
door at the top for now and go right.

Area 10-Ride across the lava with Lakilester until you see the lava-
fall. Get on the moving platform and use Bow to get through it, then go
in the upper door.

Area 11-Go upstairs to see the enemies guarding the switch...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Magikoopa    11       6         0
Koopatrol x3  8     4-10        3

After that, hit the switch to stop the lava flow, which will cool the
lava and let you walk on it. Leave the room, go to area 9's upper door,
grab the key, and then unlock the locked door on the right.

Area 12-Take out Watt and walk along the platforms. If you get to a
gap, use Parakarry to cross it in the dark. Head to the top and left.

Area 13-Same tactics as last room.

Area 14-Push the Bowser block to create a doorway. Enter it.

Area 6-You're back here. The Bowser door said he'd let you through if
you got out of the jail, so go through.

Area 15-Ahhh...a Save Block! If you head right a few areas you'll find
a solitary Koopatrol. Beat it for the Prison Key, then unlock the cell
and talk to one of the Toads for a quick nap. In this area, the upper
left leads to a shop with really bad prices, and the upper right is
where you want to go.

Area 16-Another hallway...

Area 17-Just head right.

Area 18-Get on the trampoline, jump up to the higher platform, and pull
the chain. Water will fill the room, so get on Sushie and ride back to
the other area.

Area 17-Get on the dock and hit the switch to make a trampoline appear.
Jump up and blow up the wall.

Area 18-Use the Tornado Jump to hit the block and the switch, then head
right and pull the other chain. Head back to area 17.

Area 17-Start swimming and grab the Castle Key in the upper left.
Afterwards, drain the water by pulling the chains again, then unlock
the door on the right side of area 18.

Area 19-Go up the many stairs and avoid the many Bombshell Bills and
kill the many B. Bill Blasters.

Area 20-Grab the Maple Syrup and the Super Shroom and push the
rightmost Bowser block. To kill the Dry Boneses, hit them with fire.
That's all.

Area 21-Yet another hallway.

Area 22-Save, then push the leftmost Bowser Block.

Area 23-All that's here is a Heart Block in yet ANOTHER hallway. Keep
going...

Area 24-It looks like the Bowser block has been pushed for you, but
it's a trick. Push it back into place, then go in the opening behind
where it was.

Area 25-Guess what's here? I'll give you a hint: hall___.

Area 26-Grab the Castle Key, return to area 22, and unlock the door.

Area 27-Here's another Bowser door. This one will only let you through
if you pass his quiz. For each question, enemies will come out, and he
will ask you about the enemies there. Here are the questions:

1.      How many Koopas were there? 3.
2.      Which were there three of? Red Shy Guys.
3.      Who came out of the middle entrance? Red Shy Guys.
4.      How many Goombas were there? 2.
5.      How many arms did you just see? 4.

The quiz should end here, but if you got one wrong you'll go on to two
more questions:

6.      Which were there three of? Bob-ombs.
7.      What color were their shells? Purple.

If at any time you get three wrong, you'll have to face a tough Anti
Guy Squad (although I've never faced them before so I don't know what
they're like). Anyway, head on through.

Area 28-You're outside now. Grab the items from the blocks, then while
going up the stairs, drop off the side to get some Jammin' Jelly. Now
go upstairs and left, into the door.

Area 29-Yessss! Another Save Block! To the far left is another secret
Toad House! Woohoo! Go in the upper left door.

Area 30-Get on the rightmost lowered platform and send Bombette
walking. When she explodes, it should raise the lowered platforms. Jump
onto the other one and go in the next room for an Ultra Shroom. Now go
in the upper right door of area 29.

Area 31-Go in the upper door.

Area 32-Get on the lowered platform and place Bombette so she blows up
the switch, then go right to get a key. Now unlock the lower door of
area 31.

Area 33-Notice the torches behind the caged wall. They are telling you
which door to go in each area: top or bottom. So in each room, go in
either the top right or the bottom right room in this order: Top,
Bottom, Bottom, Top, Bottom, and Top.

Area 34-You're almost there. Keep going...

Area 35-There's a Heart Block here. Go right to find *gasp* PEACH!
Apparently she got away from Bowser and made a run for it. She says you
should leave now and she'll follow you. Go all the way back to the
Heart Block, noticing how she lags behind. When you get to the Heart
Block, run back to the right and see the Duplighost (what, you thought
it WAS Peach?) without its disguise run away. Go back to the door and
hammer the fake Peach three times to fight...

MINI-BOSS      HP    Attack    Defense
Duplighost x4  15      4-5        0

After the fight, head back and hit the Heart Block and continue right.

Area 36-Here's the last Bowser door, which claims it has "better
protection" than the other doors. The Koopa Bros. will jump in,
apparently a lot more powerful than they once were. However, you won't
be able to touch them before someone else runs in, beats them up, and
asks to fight you...

MINI-BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Jr. Troopa   60      5-9        2

This is the last fight with Jr. Troopa, and it's gonna be a big one! At
first, he'll just act like he did in the first battle, just sitting
there vulnerable. After he loses about 20 HP, he'll go into his spike-
and-wings mode, and he is now capable of attacking with the spike on
his head for heavy damage. When he has lost 40 HP, he'll come back down
and pull out his magic staff, now equipped with a lighting attack.
However, even in his final form, he isn't that much of a threat.

After you beat Jr. Troopa, he'll run away. The Bowser door is very
confused, since he said you had to beat the Koopa Bros. to get through,
but you only beat Jr. Troopa. But he doesn't care. He lets you through,
saying that he'll let you be beat by Bowser instead. Head on through.

Area 37-The final hallway...

-Peach's Castle-

Castle Front-Ooo...the music's off. Creepy, eh? There is an invisible
block here with an Ultra Shroom inside. Use Watt to get it, save and
head inside!

1st Floor Hall-Unless you've heard this before, the music here is
really going to freak you out. The guards are now all gone, so go in
the room on the far right.

Toad's Room-Open the shaking closet and a Toad will come out, allowing
you to take a NAP! OH YEAH! Rest, grab the Last Stand Badge from the
chest, and head to the 2nd floor.

2nd Floor Hall-Before the battle, let's get a few hidden items. There
is a Life Shroom on the upper level of the Library. Also, there is the
Power Rush Badge in the Library and a Deep Focus Badge in the Storeroom
if you didn't pick them up as Peach. After you're all ready, head to
the third floor!

3rd Floor Hall-As you enter, you will see Peach hanging from the
ceiling. Bowser will jump in. Here we go!

BOSS      HP    Attack    Defense
Bowser    50     3-16        1

Time to whoop some Koopa ass! This battle should not pose that much
trouble for you. If he uses the Star Rod, use the Star Beam or be
prepared to take 16 damage. Ouch. He can heal himself for 20 HP, but he
won't do that very much. He can also blow fire at you for 8 damage,
claw and poison you, or jump on you and take away a battle option for a
few turns. However, just keep attacking while keeping your HP high
until you've beaten Bowser, and you've won the game!

..Or have you?

Nope, Bowser's not beaten! Bowser will jump in his flying smiley
thingy, grab Peach and fly to the top of the castle! Go back and heal
if you need to, then follow that Koopa!

Staircase 2-Keep going!

Top Path-Go left and you will see Bowser fly even higher. Go in the
left door.

Staircase 3-A SAVE BLOCK! There's a big battle ahead and you know it!
Get up those stairs!

Balcony-After some nice camera work, you'll emerge on the balcony. Head
right and onto Bowser's machine. "Since you've been my rival for so
long, I've arranged a special arena for your defeat!" Bowser will stomp
a switch, destroying the path back. Then Kammy will clear up what she's
been working on. The device you're standing on right now is a machine
to power up Bowser! She will activate it, and lightning will strike
Bowser, making him at least twice as big as he was before!

This is it! Get ready for one hell of a battle!

FINAL BOSS    HP    Attack    Defense
Bowser        99     3-16        2

Watt is the best partner for this one. She can strike right through
Bowser's 2 defense without using any FP. But as for now, use whatever
you've got! Doesn't matter how much FP it uses, just how many HP it
takes away! After a few turns Bowser will power himself up again with
the Star Rod. Use the Star Beam. It won't work! Now we zoom out for a
bit...

Peach is watching this whole thing from the other side of the gizmo.
She wishes she could help. Kammy tells her to shut up, and raises her
wand, but suddenly Twink flies in and hits Kammy in the head. He unties
Peach. Kammy gets back up.

You'll now go into a mini-battle where Peach and Twink battle Kammy.
Twink and Peach can only do one thing each, and have unlimited HP, so
don't worry about anything.

After the battle, Peach wishes she could help. Twink says to wish for
something, just like she did for him. Peach wishes, and Twink distracts
Bowser while the Star Spirits appear and upgrade the Star Beam with the
power of Peach's wishes. It is now Peach Beam! Now, back to the
battle...

Now that you have Peach Beam, use it immediately! It will take away
Bowser's invincibility, and now you can attack! Also, this is why I
told you to do whatever you wanted last round, because now you are
fully healed!

Now let's get crackin'! Attack Bowser as much as you possibly can! You
should have at LEAST one Life Shroom from the library, so don't worry
about healing till it's gone. Bowser has the ability to heal himself
for _THIRTY_ HP, but he tends to do it only when you heal.

Of course, Bowser has his own attacks as well. He can blow fire at you
for 10, claw and possibly poison you for 8, jump on you and possibly
disable one command for a few turns for 8, send out a wave of pure
energy hitting you for 6 and your partner for 3, or hit you with
lightning for 10. Learn to recognize which attack he's going to do by
what he does before the attack. Oh yeah, and he can also HEAL! ****! He
can get back a whopping 30 HP back in one turn!

So here's the strategy: ATTACK! Don't worry about HP at ALL until you
run out of Life Shrooms. If you try to heal, Bowser will probably heal
himself too, and we don't want that. Also, as in the last battle, don't
forget to disable Bowser's invincibility when he uses it or you'll take
major damage.

So keep attacking while keeping your stats as high as possible until
you beat Bowser and win the game! (But I'm not spoiling the ending.)

Now you may have beaten Bowser, but no RPG is complete without some...

--------------------Side-Quests and Easter Eggs------------------------

*The Dojo*

Now you may have been wondering what the Dojo in Toad Town is for.
Well, it's nothing special. You can battle the fighters there until you
get a diploma, but it doesn't do a thing. However, if you're looking
for a challenge, here's a place to go.

Note: You CAN go to the Toad House between battles. Remember this.

First Opponent  HP    Attack    Defense
Chan            15       2         2

Seeing that Chan is a Buzzy Beetle, you should just jump and use
regular attacks. If you only use jump each turn, you shouldn't take a
single hit.

Second Opponent  HP    Attack    Defense
Lee              20      3-5        0

Lee isn't that hard either. He'll change into whatever partner you have
out at the time, but he can only do as much damage as your partner can
do, so he shouldn't be very hard.

Third Opponent  HP    Attack    Defense
The Master I    50       6         0

This guy isn't very hard either. He'll always do the same attack for 6
damage, but he shouldn't be very hard.

Fourth Opponent  HP    Attack    Defense
The Master II    75     8-11        0

This is where the difficulty is ramped up a bit. The Master can now do
a two-part attack for 11 damage. If you have the Zap Tap Badge, you can
put it on and he'll take damage after the first part, making him unable
to do the second. The Zap Tap Badge will make this fight very easy, and
you can buy it from Merlow at Shooting Star Summit in Merluvlee's house
(area 4).

Final Opponent  HP    Attack    Defense
The Master III  99     10-18       1

Fighting someone with a minimum attack of 10 is intimidating, but you
should have plenty of items stocked up. The Master now has a three-part
attack that can do 18 damage, but as in the last battle you can use the
Zap Tap Badge to only allow him to do one part, and you'll only take 5
damage. Bow can also help here with Outta Sight, but she will need to
do Fan Smack to be able to do any damage.

After you beat the Master the final time you'll receive the Diploma.
And what does this Diploma do? Nothing. Oh well...

*Kent C. Koopa*

After returning from Lavalava Island, Kolorado will stand in front of
Pleasant Path. Apparently he is trying to get home to Koopa Village,
but Kent C. Koopa is blocking the way. Go along Pleasant Path and talk
to him. He'll ask you to pay him 100 coins to pass. You're obviously
not going to do that, so instead ask to fight...

MINI-BOSS       HP    Attack    Defense
Kent C. Koopa   70     3-10        6

Holy ****! SIX DEFENSE?! Now THAT is definitely scary, but remember
that he is a Koopa and can be flipped over. Kent also has a BIG
weakness: laziness. Use Sleepy Sheep or Lullaby and he'll be catching
some Z's for a whopping four turns. After that, flip him over. He still
seems to be able to use some defense to jump attacks while he's
flipped, so hammer him instead. Not as hard as it looks.

*Anti Guy*

See Chapter 4.

*Koopa Koot*

On the far right of Koopa Village is Koopa Koot's house. He will ask
you to do some favors for him (listed in another section). If you do
them, you will be rewarded. Most of the time the reward is a single
coin, but sometimes he'll give you Star Pieces or credits for the
Playroom. Speaking of which...

*The Playroom*

In area 4 of Toad Town (with the train station) there is a tree in the
upper left. Hammer it and a pipe will appear. Go in it to find the
Playroom. Here you can play mini-games for coins, but only if you have
the proper Credits from Koopa Koot.

If you have a Silver Credit, you can play Jump Attack for 10 coins. In
this game, 11 blocks will appear. They can have one of the following 4
things inside:

1 Coin: Adds one coin to score.
5 Coins: Adds five coins to score.
X5: Multiplies current score by five.
Bowser: You lose everything you've gotten so far, and the game ends.

You can play either a 5-, 7-, or 9-block game. In order to get
anything, you need to hit the specified number of blocks without
getting Bowser. If you successfully complete the 9-block game, you'll
get double the number of coins you would normally get.

If you have a Gold Credit, you can play Smash Attack for 10 coins. In
this game, there are multiple blocks on the floor. In order to win, you
need to hit 10 blocks with a picture of Peach inside in 30 seconds.
However, enemies can also jump out of blocks and delay you.
Periodically you can see what is in the blocks jump out. If you win,
you'll get as many coins as the number of seconds left times 10.

*Li'l Oinks*

Also in area 4 of Toad Town is the Li'l Oink farm. You can buy a Li'l
Oink for 10 coins. There are ten different varieties. After you buy
more than 10 Oinks, one will leave and leave behind an item, depending
on its color. However, if you enter the pen, all the other Oinks will
run away and never return, so be sure the item left behind is what you
want.

Here are the varieties and their items:
Black: Dried Shroom
Flower: Maple Syrup
Gold: Ultra Shroom
Pink: Fire Flower
Question Mark: Repel Gel
Shroom: Life Shroom
Silver: Jammin' Jelly
Star: Shooting Star
Tiger: Thunder Rage
White: Super Shroom

*Chet Rippo*

In area 5 of Toad Town there is a black...thing...named Chet Rippo. He
will increase one of your stats if you give him 39 coins. If you
upgrade, the stat you picked will increase as if you had gained two
levels, BUT the other stats will decrease.
