About the Game:
---------------
The Powerpuff Girls: Bad Mojo Jojo is the first in a series of three
games based on the Cartoon Network’s hit show, The Powerpuff Girls.
Bad Mojo Jojo stars Blossom, the egotistical leader of the Powerpuff
Girls. Throughout 8 levels (3 of which are secret), your job is to
beat up the bad guys, rescue Townsville’s citizens, and gather up all
the stolen loot, all which gather points. To beat each level, first
you must find the key to the rest of the level, then rescue one of the
characters (e.g. the Mayor), then defeat the boss. Although you do not
need to do so, you must collect all the points to finish the level at
100%.

Convict – Big muscled guy wearing prison stripes. Attacks you by
trying to punch you. Walks back and forth in a set spot. Two punches
and he’s gone.
Armed Convict – Guy in prison stripes with a gun. If he shoots you,
you lose 1/3 of a heart. Will not shoot at close range, so stand right
under him. Walks back and forth in a set spot. Use two punches to
defeat him
Flying Octopus – White, 6 arms, flies in the air in a set pattern.
Attacks you by spinning his arms. Punch him twice and he’ll leave.
Vampire – Flies in a box pattern. Spits at you. You’ll need two
punches to get rid of him. Kinda tough.
Tentacle Monster – Walks back and forth. Can grab you and squeeze you.
You lose 2/3 heart if he does. Need four punches to defeat it.
Walkthrough:
------------
Level 1 – Utonium Chateau – 71 Points
Mojo Jojo has broken into the Professor’s lab and taken him hostage.
You need to get into the basement, free the Professor, and then defeat
Mojo.
You’ll start in the girls’ bedroom. First go out the window to the
left. There’s 4 bottles of Chemical X out there. In the girls’ room,
pick up the Buttercup Hotline and the trading card. Exit through the
door to the right. In the hall, defeat the Convict (1), then pick up
the coin, ring, and bar (4), then pound on the second Convict (5).
After you go through the door, you’ll be in the main Hallway. There
are three paths you can take. First, go down the stairs, picking up
the ring, coin, and bar (8). Go in the door to the left. Pick up the
Bubbles Hotline, a heart, the key, a bar, and a coin (10). Go back
into the main hall, then take the upper right path. Free the Old Lady
(just touch her and she’ll walk away), then continue right and through
the door (11).
You should now be in the Professor’s room (there will be a picture of
Ima Goodlady, Sedusa’s alter-ego, above the bed). Nothing here but a
bottle of Chemical X. Continue to the right and you’ll be in the
Secondary Hallway. Beat up the Convict, the grab the coin (13). Go
down the stairs, then to the right to the Closet. Fly up after you’re
in there, and you’ll find a bar, a trading card, and a ring (15). Go
back in the Secondary Hall and go left. Pick up the ring, coin, bar
and heart and continue left (18).
If you go down, you’ll proceed to the basement area. But for now, just
go through the door on the left. From right to left, you’ll find a
ring, a Convict, a bar, and a Coin (22). Go through the door, and
you’re back in the Main Hallway. Grab the bottle of Chemical X, then
backtrack and enter the basement. After you go through the lower left
door, defeat the convict and go left to the Main Basement (23).
The Main Basement is huge, so pay close attention. Go down the stairs
and pick up the bar, ring, and coin (26). Beat up the Armed Convict at
the bottom, then go left to grab a ring and a bar (29). Fly to the
platform on the left, then beat up the Armed Convict and grab the
bottle of Red Chemical X (30). On the way down the stairs, defeat the
Flying Octopus, and then the Convict near the bottom of the stairs
(32). Go right (there’s a winged heart, but you don’t need it) and fly
over to the platform to grab a ring, a bar, and the Spice (34). Go
back to the stairs and go left. Grab the ring at the top of the stairs
and the coin and ring on the way down (37). Beat up another Armed
Convict and grab the Chemical X to his right (38). Fly right to rescue
the Man, then pick up the coin, ring, bar and another coin down the
stairs (43). Go left, grab the bar, defeat the Convict, and grab the
heart (45). Go on the left platform to grab a trading card and on the
right platform for a coin, ring, and bar (48). Exit the room through
the door on the bottom right.
In this hall, you’ll find a Convict in the second section (49). Two
sections later is the door that leads to the Second Basement. Go down,
then left to get in. In the second basement, defeat the Flying Octopus
and grab the ring, bar, coin on the stairs (53). Go down the second
set of stairs for a bar and coin (55), the third set for a ring, bar,
and coin (58), and the fourth set for a ring, bar, and coin (61). At
the very bottom of the Second Basement, you’ll find an Armed Convict
(62). Go under the stairs to the right for the Everything Nice. Exit
this room through the door to the left.
You’ll enter another sectioned hallway. Rescue the Lady in the first
section, the defeat the Armed Convict in the second (64). The third
section has a coin, ring, bar, and another coin (68). Afterwards,
defeat the Convict lurking in the fourth section (69). If you’ve
missed anything (points, Chemical X, etc.), now is the time to go back
and pick that stuff up. If you’ve got all 69 points and 8 or 9 bottles
of Chemical X, then continue on.
You’ll find Professor Utonium in the next room. Free him, and he’ll
tell you about Mojo Jojo. Mojo’s hiding in the Main Basement, but you
don’t have to backtrack all the way there to face him. The Professor
suggests you take the shortcut instead. In case you can’t find it,
it’s the ventilation duct in the upper left corner. Grab the two
hearts and the bottle of Chemical X before continuing. There’s also a
winged heart, but you don’t need it. Fly up to the vent and enter it
(just like a door). Inside you’ll find (clockwise from bottom right) a
bar, a heart, a coin, a winged heart, Chemical X, and the Sugar (71).
Exit the top right duct to get back into the Main Basement (You’ll pick
up a trading card as you come out).
Now, it’s time for showdown. Mojo would show up until you touch the
coin at the base of the topmost staircase. Mojo will come out in a
robotic suit. He’ll attack you with a hand that pushes you away, and
try to grab you if you fly over him (don’t worry, the arm doesn’t
extend very far). First use your Blossom and Buttercup Hotlines to
inflict damage (each one is equal to 4 punches). Then use the Bubbles
Hotlines to stun him for a few seconds, so you can get in a few
punches. After your Hotlines are gone, then use Ice Breath to freeze
Mojo and punch him while he’s frozen. It’s best if you stand behind
him and freeze him. After you punch him and go on the other side,
he’ll turn around and be vulnerable again. After 11 or 12 hits, he’ll
run off screen. The Professor will congratulate you, then fly up and
touch the big heart to finish the level.
Level 2 – Bonsai Gardens – 171 Points
The Mayor calls Blossom and tells her a Tentacle Monster is terrorizing
the Bonsai Gardens. Of course, you’ve got to take care of it.
When you start, fly up for a Chemical X, then a Buttercup Hotline on
the ledge. When you land, go right for a coin, bar, and ring (3). Fly
over the pond for a coin, then continue right for a bar and ring (6).
Fight the Armed Convict, then go over another pond for a coin and bar
(9). There is a ring, a coin, and a Chemical X on the other side (11).
Defeat the Convict, then fly onto the rock in the middle of the pond
for a heart (12). Right before the path branches, there are a coin,
a ring, and a bar (15). Go up and grab the coin and bar (17), but do
not go into the door. Take the bottom path instead. Get the ring and
beat up the Armed Convict (19). Fly over the pond, rescue the Old
Lady, get the coin, ring, and bar, then enter the door (23).
Get the ring before you enter the cave (24). Go off the ledge for two
bars and a coin (27). When you land, go right, over the bridge, to a
heart. Then go back left and off the edge for 2 more bars and a coin.
When you land go right, collect the Chemical X, then attack the Vampire
(31). Fly down and to the left to a ledge. Fly across the pit for a
ring and coin, then back across (33). Go left over another pit,
grabbing a coin and two rings (36). Enter the door to continue on. Fly
straight up for a Chemical X. Walk left and get the coin and ring
(38). Then rescue the lady and defeat the Flying Octopus above her
(40). Fly over the deep pit and get the bar, ring, and bar (43). A
Convict is waiting for you on the other side (44). Go onto the next
ledge for a bar and a heart (45). Fly over the next pit and grab the
bar, ring, Chemical X, and bar (48). Fly down and right to a small
ledge with a coin (49). There’s another ledge farther down and on the
other side. It has a coin, bar, and heart (51). There’s also a little
tunnel to the left. There are two hidden pieces of Stolen Loot in the
tunnel, and the Spice is on the other side (53). After collecting
everything, go back up to the ledge. Fight the Vampire, then fly over
another pit for a bar, Chemical X, and coin (56). Go over the last pit
and collect the coin, bar, ring, and coin (60). Go left, get the ring,
the go through the door (61).
Go left and fight the Armed Convict, then get the coin, ring, and bar
(65). Don’t go in the door. Instead, continue right. Save the Lady,
then fly over the pond for a coin, bar, ring, and coin (70). Walk
right, then fly on top of the building. Go left about 2/3 of the way,
then fly up for the Sugar. Get off the building and go right for a bar
and coin (72). Defeat the Vampire (73), then fly straight up to a
cloud with a ring (74). Go left one cloud for a Chemical X, then the
next one for and heart, and the last one for another bottle of Chemical
X. Fly back to the first cloud and fight the Flying Octopus that’s up
and to the right. Fly over to the ledge on the right and get the ring
and bar (77). Another Flying Octopus is lurking up here (78). Go back
to where you fought the Vampire and go right to the pond. Get the ring,
then fly to the first rock for a coin (80). The next rock has a bar,
and there’s a ring on the other side of the pond (82). Fly straight up
when you come the side of a mountain. You’ll grab a trading card, bar,
ring, and coin. Try to land on the ledge to the right. Defeat the
Convict up here, then go onto the ledge on the left (86). Get the bar
and ring, then fly back down to the ground (88). Go left to the coin
(89), then fly back up to the spot where the Convict was. Fly to the
ledge on the right, getting a coin, ring, coin, bar, and ring on the
way (93). Also get the heart that’s on the cloud. Go back to the
ground and fight a Convict just to the right of the coin you found down
here (95). Go over the pond to get a coin and bar (97). Save the Man,
and get the bar, ring, and coin on your way up the path (101). When
you get to the top, fly straight up to a cloud with some Chemical X.
Now, go in the door.
You’re back in the first area of the level. Go back to the other door
that led to the caves. Continue on the path to where that Vampire was.
This time, go to ledge on the other side. There’s some hidden Chemical
X in the doorway, and a Convict and George Jetson on the other side
(103). Go off the ledge down to the Convict and Old Lady (105). Then
go down to the ledge underneath. Defeat the Convict and get the coin,
ring, and Chemical X (108). Fly over the pit to the right and get the
coin, bar, and ring (111). Then grab the heart, and fly straight up to
get a trading card. Walk left for a ring, bar, coin, and ring (115).
Fly up to the ledge above you and take out the Armed Convict (116).
Fly up to the next ledge and get the coin, Chemical X, and bar (118).
Stand on the arrow pointing up and you’ll get the Everything Nice.
Now, return to the bridge that had the trading card under it. Go right
and get the ring, coin, and bar on the way up to the next ledge (121).
Walk left all the way and get the Chemical X, then fly up to the next
ledge and defeat the Armed Convict (122). Get the two bars and coin
(125), then fall all the way down to the exit.
Fly straight up to a cloud with Red Chemical X. Grab it, then head
back to the ground and fight a Convict (126). Save the Lady, the fly
up to the ledge over the pond and defeat the Armed Convict (128). Get
the bar, ring, and coin that are above the pond, but below the ledge
(131). A little bit to the right of the pond, you can fly up for two
bars (133). Land on the ledge, then take out the Vampire (134). Fly
up to the ledge to the right for 3 bottles of Chemical X. Land back on
the ground and walk left for a coin, ring, and bar (137). Rescue the
Man and get the coin to his left (139), then continue right. You can’t
go through the door on the upper path, but you can get the Chemical X
and ring (140). If you fly onto the building, you can pick up three
sets of a ring, coin, and ring (149). There’s also a heart at the far
right. Return left and take the bottom path. Fly across the pond from
rock to rock. The first rock has a bar, the second a ring, and the
third a coin (152). On the other side of the pond, touch the coin on
the ground and the Tentacle Monster will appear. Take him out with
four punches (you don’t need to, but you could use some Chemical X).
After he’s defeated, a little girl will tell Blossom that Princess has
taken Talking Dog and tied him up in the next section. So, go through
the door and start searching for Talking Dog.
The paths are difficult to find your way through, but I’m going to
diagram all four areas, what items there are, and where they go.
Here is the first one you come to:
_____ _____
| |
| |
\ /
\ ______ /
___ \_____/bridge\_____/ ___
| / \ |
|___/ \___|
You’ll start at the top left door. Go across the bridge for a coin,
Chemical X, and a ring (154). There’s also a Bubbles Hotline on the
other side. Go through the top right door to continue on.
This is the second area you’ll encounter:
_____ _____
| |
| ____ |
\ / \ /
\ | | /
___ \_____| hill |_____/ ___
| / \ |
|___/ \___|
Again, you’ll be at the top left door. There is a coin and a bar on
the left side of the hill, a Chemical on top, and a coin and a ring on
the right side (158). There’s also a Buttercup Hotline right before
the path forks on the right side. And once again, go out through the
top right door.
Here’s the third area:
_____ _____
| |
| |
\ /
\ /
___ \_____ _____/ ___
| / \ __ / \ |
|___/ | | \___|
This area has a pond with a rock in the middle of it. You come in the
top left door. Get the Blossom Hotline sitting just before the pond,
then the Chemical X and coin that are above the rock (159). This time,
exit through the bottom right door.
The last area looks like this:
_____ _____
| |
| |
\ /
\ /
___ \_____ _____/ ___
| / \ / \ |
|___/ \___|
There’s a pond here too, but no rock. Fly over the pond for a bar,
Chemical X, and coin (161). Talking Dog is tied up on the other side.
Free him, and he’ll tell you that Princess has been bragging about her
new super suit. It’s time to put that spoiled brat in her place. The
upper right path lead to Princess.
When you come to the last area, you’ll notice that the bridge is out.
Don’t worry, there’s plenty of solid ground underneath, and a whole lot
of clouds too. The area is littered with Winged Hearts that you really
don’t need. The first cloud under the bridge and to the right has a
bar, ring, and coin (164). Another cloud with a coin, ring, and bar is
down and to the right (167). Next, head down to the big, long cloud
and find the coin. Princess will show up. She flies like a Powerpuff,
and throws purple balls at you. She also tries to use toy soldiers to
hurt you. This isn’t a tough fight. Just make sure you can see her on
the screen and use you Hotlines. It takes 14 punches to beat her (4
non-Bubbles Hotlines inflict 16). The Mayor will thank you after she’s
defeated. Fly up and to the right to a cloud with a coin, ring, and
bar (170). The other side of the bridge has a trading card on it. To
the right of that bridge piece, there’s a Man (171). Go ahead and
touch the big Heart after you’ve saved the Man.
Level 3 – Townsville Subway – 174 Points
Ms. Bellum calls Blossom and tells her that Mojo broke into the Mayor’s
office and kidnapped him. Mojo then headed back to his hideout through
the subway tunnels. Time to find that monkey again.
Go right and down the stairs, then continue right and get a coin, ring,
and bar (3). Defeat the Convict, then go down the next set of stairs
for a bar, ring, and coin (7). At the bottom, walk left and collect
the bar, ring, and coin (10). Go down the stairs all the way and grab
the ring, bar, and coin (13). At the bottom, walk right and rescue
George Jetson and defeat the Armed Convict (15). Head down the first
set of stairs you see. When you get to the bottom, walk right and
fight the Convict (16). Then grab the coin, ring, bar, and coin (20).
Now enter the door in front of you.
Head down the stairs, then right and save the Lady (21). Continue
right into the Control Room and defeat the Convict (22). The key is
in-between the windows, but don’t grab it yet. Instead, walk left
until you land on the tracks. Go all the way left and behind the
triangle thing for some Chemical X. Now go back right, walking on the
tracks, and get a Chemical X, ring, coin, bar, ring, coin, bar, ring,
coin, and bar (31). Follow the tracks to the next section.
Get the ring, coin, and bar, then defeat the Armed Convict (35). Walk
right and get another ring, coin, and bar (38). You’ll notice that the
track splits in two directions. Take the bottom path. Get the bar,
ring, and coin (41), and then continue along the tracks. A little bit
later, collect the coin, ring, and bar (44). At the end of this path,
you’ll see that a water pipe has ruptured, and water is just gushing
out like a geyser. Although it may not seem important, but it is. The
geyser will push you all the way to the top when you touch it. For
now, get the Chemical X, ring, bar, coin, heart, and coin and continue
through (48).
You come into a tunnel with molten lava at the bottom. If you touch
the lava, not only will you lose 1/3 of a heart, you’ll bounce off the
lava. This can be dangerous, since you cannot recharge your flight bar
until you reach solid ground, and therefore lose an entire heart or
more. If you’ve picked up some Red Chemical X, you’ll still bounce off
the surface, but at least you won’t get hurt. However, the lavafalls
(like waterfalls, but lava) will not inflict damage. You can safely
fly behind them.
Fly down and right and get the ring, coin, and bar (51). Try to find
the Red Chemical X behind the lavafall, so you won’t get hurt if you
run out of flying power. There’s are some small islands where you can
land beyond the lavafall. The first one has a ring, the second a coin,
and the third a bar (54). Fly over the lava to the next island,
collecting a ring and a coin on the way (56). The island has a bar on
it (57). Continue over the lava and get the ring and coin (58). Land
on the tracks and walk right to find a Convict (60). There’s a tunnel
over the tracks. Fly into it and then to the right to get a coin,
ring, and bar (63), but leave the Red Chemical X for later. When you
come out of the tunnel, you’ll notice a door to the left. Remember
this spot (Point A) and this door. You’ll need to come back to it
later. Walk right, save the Man (64), then pick up the Bubbles
Hotline. Go up the stairs and get a coin, a ring, and a bar (67). Go
though this door, and you’re back in the subway station, the first area
of this stage.
Walk down the stairs, then go right and defeat the Armed Convict and
Flying Octopus (69). Collect the bar, ring, and coin along the right
wall (72). Then fly up into the tunnel and follow it. You’ll get a
heart, a ring, a bar, a coin, a trading card, a coin, a ring, a bar,
and a coin (79). When you come out, walk to the left, then go up the
stairs and get the coin, ring, and bar (82). Hidden behind the dark
tan support beam, there’s a Buttercup Hotline. Go back down the
stairs, then to the left. Defeat the Vampire (83), then get the
Chemical X and heart along the left wall. Walk back to the right and
go down the stairs for a coin. Walk left and through the door. There
are three bottles of Chemical X, a ring, and a coin in this small room
(86). Go through the other door, and you’re standing at the door just
to the right of the spot where you picked up the Buttercup Hotline. Go
down the left staircase. When you get to the bottom, go right through
the door. Walk down the stairs and back to the Control Room. Now you
can get the key. After getting the key, walk to the maintenance door
to the right.
Get the trading card, the rescue the Lady (87). Head down the stairs
and pick up the bar, ring, and coin (90). Then go right and save the
Old Lady (91). Continue on and down a staircase for a ring and a coin
(93). Then defeat the Convict and Armed Convict (95). Go down the
next set of stairs for a coin, a Chemical X, and a bar (97). At the
bottom, walk left, rescue George Jetson, and fight the Convict (99).
Drop down onto the tracks and walk to the left for a bottle of Chemical
X. Then go on to the next tunnel.
Get the heart and destroy the Tentacle Monster (100). Continue left
and you’ll notice the path splits in two directions. Take the bottom
path for 2 rings, a coin, and bar (104). Then rescue the Old Lady and
get the Chemical X behind the barricade (105). Go back and take the
upper path. Fight the Armed Convict, then take the coin, Chemical X,
and bar (108). Defeat the next Convict, then walk down the track for a
bar, a ring, and a coin (112). Now go back to the previous area.
Walk to the right and under the platform. Grab the coin, ring, bar,
ring, and coin (117). Continue along the track and get a bar and coin
(119). Fly onto the upper track and defeat the Armed Convict (120).
Then get the Blossom Hotline and the Chemical X. Walk back down the
tracks and to the right. Get the ring and the bar, then defeat the
Tentacle Monster (123). Continue on to the next section.
The cave you enter is quite large, so make sure you follow the
directions closely. Fly to the right onto the first ledge. Take out
the Vampire flying over it (124). Then fly to the coin on the right
(125). Land on the next ledge, then fly to the next, picking up a ring
(126). This ledge has a bottle of Chemical X. On the way to the next
ledge, defeat the Flying Octopus and get the bar (128). Fly to the
next ledge and defeat both the Vampire and Tentacle Monster (130).
Take out the Vampire first. If you don’t the Vampire can hit you with
his spit attack, leaving you defenseless against the Tentacle Monster’s
squeeze attack. Afterwards, fly up and to the right. There’s a cliff
edge with a heart with a heart. Continue to the right, and you’ll
enter a small cave with the Everything Nice at the end of the cave. Go
back to the larger cave, and fly down to the lower cliff edge. Pick up
the coin, bar, and ring next (133). Below you, there’s a geyser like
the one you saw earlier. There’s a Bubbles Hotline, coin, ring, and
bar right beside it. If you’re having trouble getting the Stolen Loot,
stand at the top of the geyser and hold Down on the Control Pad.
You’ll slowly fall down the geyser so you can grab the stuff. Fly to
the left over the lava and get the bar, ring, and coin (139). Land on
the island and go left for some Chemical X. At the other end, there’s
a Vampire (140). Then there are some smaller islands with a Flying
Octopus hovering above (141). Beyond the smaller islands, there’s
another cave opening. Defeat the Convict, then go through the opening.
There’s lava covering almost the entire floor in this area. First, get
the heart, bar, coin, and ring (145). Before continuing on, find the
trading card behind the lavafall. Stand on the very edge of the track,
and fly over the lava. You should have enough power to get to the
Winged Heart. To the left of the Winged Heart, there’s a coin, ring,
and bar (148). There’s a small piece of track you can land on. The
Spice is sitting in the middle of it. Again fly to the left, get the
Winged Heart, the get the bar, ring, and coin (151). Continue along
the track to the next area.
Defeat the Armed Convict (152). Then fly left and get the bar, coin,
and ring (155). After recharging your Flight Bar on the very small
piece of track, fly to the left again for another bar, ring, and coin
(158). After landing again and walking left, you’ll recognize the
small tunnel above. You now have two choices. You could risk getting
the Red Chemical X, then continuing back the way you came. However,
you will not make it all the way back to the big cave without taking
some damage. Or you could go through the tunnel back to Point A, Go
through the door, then follow the path back to the upper left entrance
to the large cave. I suggest you take this safer path. Once back in
the large cave, head back to the lower right opening. Go through it
and you’ll find the Mayor. The Mayor will be so upset that he can’t
speak, but Blossom guarantees that she’ll take care of Mojo. Go back
into the large cave and fly up to the cliff edge above. However, the
path will be different.
Fly to the right, and then land on one of the islands. When you pick
up the coin, Mojo will come out in his mini personal helicopter. He’ll
mainly attack you with small PPG-seeking missiles that will take off
and entire heart. He’ll also make low passes while firing the machine
gun. This attack inflicts 1/3 heart. There are hearts both upper
corners if you need to fill up on health. Again, use Hotlines, then
Ice Breath to take out Mojo. Once defeated, an earthquake will start.
You’ve got to escape (although nothing bad is going to happen if you
stay). The entire screen will shake every 4 or 5 seconds though. Head
all the way to the right through the opening to the last subway
passage.
Rescue the Lady, then head up the stairs for a coin, ring, and bar
(162). At the top, go left and defeat the Armed Convict, then head
right and rescue the Man (164). Go up the next set of stairs for a bar
and a ring (166). Go left and follow the path to defeat an Armed
Convict and rescue a George Jetson (168). Go back right and up the
next staircase for a ring, coin, and ring (171). Defeat the Tentacle
Monster, then head up the last set of stairs for a coin and a ring
(174). Go ahead touch the big heart once you reach the top.
Secret Level 1 – Pokey Oaks School – 46 Points
Butch is causing trouble at Pokey Oaks, so it’s your job to take care
of him.
Get the Red Chemical X in front of you, then beat up the Armed Convict
(1). Go past the stairs and save the Man (2). Return to and go up the
stairs for a coin, ring, and bar (5). Defeat the Armed Convict (6),
then go right, get the coin (7), and go through the door.
Get the coin in the upper left corner (8). Then defeat the Armed
Convict and get the ring in the upper right corner (10). Continue out
into the hall for a trading card. Go down the stairs for a ring and a
coin (12). At the bottom, go left for a ring, coin, and bar (15).
Then go back right and beat up an Armed Convict (16). Continue to the
right and through the door.
Get the Red Chemical X, then go up the stairs for a coin and a ring
(18). Go left and fight the Armed Convict (19). Go into the closet
and get a trading card. Fly up for a coin, the Spice, and a bar (21).
Go back to the last fork in the path and go up. Rescue George Jetson,
then go in the next room. Defeat the Convict and continue on (23).
Grab the ring, bar, and coin, then go up the stairs for a coin, ring,
and bar (29). Defeat the Convict the fly to the left and rescue the
Man (31). Go left into the next room and get a heart, 2 Chemical X’s,
and a trading card. The Sugar is above the doorway. Exit, then go
back to the stairs. Take the top path and collect the coin, bar, and
ring (34). Pick up the Red Chemical X, then go into the next room and
defeat the Armed Convict (35). The closet has 4 bottles of Chemical X
and the key. Return to the stairs once again and this time, go down
them. Get the coin, ring, and bar, then continue right for a coin,
ring, and bar (41).
Go into the next room and down the stairs for a ring, coin, and bar
(44). Fly into the top right corner for a ring (45), then exit the
school. Once outside, fly onto the school. Walk left all the way,
then fly up to a ledge with a bar and the Everything Nice (46). Return
to the ground and pick up the coin to start the fight with Butch.
Butch fights just like a Powerpuff. He also has laser vision. It
takes 16 punches to defeat him. It going to be tough, since you didn’t
pick up any Hotlines. So, you’ll have to rely on your Ice Breath to
stun him. There are some clouds in the sky with Chemical X’s or heart
on top of them. Grab these if you need to refuel. After he’s
defeated, touch the big heart.
Secret Level 2 – Art Museum – 60 Points
Boomer’s destroying and disrupting the Townsville Art Museum, so it’s
time to teach him how to appreciate art.
The door to the left is locked, so go right and defeat the Convict (1).
Walk right for a ring and a bar (3). Then continue right and fight the
Armed Convict (4). Fly up and get the ring, bar, and heart (6). Walk
left and defeat the Armed Convict (7). There’s a bar and a ring a bit
more to the left (9). After collecting those, find and defeat another
Armed Convict (10). There’s another locked door to the left, so you
have to go back right. Fly over the spot where you came up, then
continue right. You’ll come across a Convict, a Chemical X, and an Old
Lady (12). The door in front of you isn’t locked, so go inside.
Continue right and get a bar, a coin, and a heart (14). The next room
has a ring, a coin, a bar, and a Convict (18). The next room after
that has nothing in it, so just walk through it. Then you come to a
room with wide stairs going down. Go down these stairs and grab the
coin, ring, coin, and bar (22). Then take out the Vampire that’s
flying above the bar (23). If you continue right, there’s a door, and
the key is on a ledge above that door. Don’t get the key yet. Go
through the door instead.
Get the heart, then go down the stairs for a bar, a ring, and a coin
(26). Walk right and take out the Tentacle Monster (27). Now, go back
left and down. Rescue George Jetson and defeat the Armed Convict (29).
Follow the path up the stairs and grab the coin, bar, and ring (32).
You now come to a spot where the path splits in two. Go down for a
heart, then fly up to the platform for a coin, ring, and bar (35).
Walk down and left and fight the Convict (36). Again, you come to
another spot where the path splits in two. Go down and get the coin,
Chemical X, ring, and bar (39). Then fly up and get a Buttercup
Hotline. Walk down and get the bar and ring (41), then left and
through the door.
Defeat the Armed Convict (42), then get the 3 bottles of Chemical X.
Fly over the gap for a bar, ring, and coin (45). Then save the Old
Lady and fight the Tentacle Monster (47). There’s another bottle of
Chemical X to the left. Go in the door, then left and down for a bar
and a ring (49). Continue left and defeat the Convict (50). You
should now be under the gap you flew over just earlier. Fly up and get
the bar, the Sugar, and the ring (52). Return to the floor and
continue left. Take out the Armed Convict, then rescue the Man (54).
Continue right and get the 2 bottles of Chemical X and bottle of Red
Chemical X . Go through the door and get the bar, coin and ring (57).
You may not have noticed, but you’re back in the first section of the
museum. Now, go get the key. It doesn’t matter how you get there,
since you’ve cleared the path. The fastest way is the best. Go left,
then fly up, and walk right. Then continue forward and you should be
back in the room with the wide stairs and key. Get the key, then exit
through the door under it. Walk back to where you fought the Tentacle
Monster, then fly up onto the platform for the Spice. Now, go right
and get the coin, bar, ring, and 3 bottles of Chemical X (60). Go
through the door.
You’re now in the museum’s dome. There are six platforms in the air,
arranged in a triangle shape. The bottom three has 2 bottles of
Chemical X, 2 bottles of Chemical X, and a bottle of Red Chemical X,
respectively. On the second level of platforms, the left one has 2
Chemical X’s and a heart, while the right one just has two bottles of
Chemical X. The very top platform has the Everything Nice. There’s
also a trading card right in front of you when you enter. Collect
everything in here but the Red Chemical X. Return to the ground and
touch the coin so Boomer comes out. Boomer is just like Butch, so he’s
nothing new. Again, use your Hotlines first. Then, go get the Red
Chemical X. Stand right next to him and you can get in 2-4 free shots.
After that, use the Ice Breath. Again, after 16 punches, he’ll be
defeated.
But, you can’t finish the level because the big heart didn’t appear in
this room. Where is it? Remember the locked doors at the beginning of
this level? Go back to them. The room on the other side has the big
heart. There are also trading cards in front of both doors. Get both
cards, then go left and touch the big heart.
Secret Level 3 - Townsville Skies - 68 Points
After you have beat Butch and Boomer, you get access to Townsville
Skies, the third and final secret level. This time, Brick is making
life miserable for you and the citizens of Townsville.
The door behind you is locked. So, walk right and get the two bottles
of Chemical X. Then fly up, get the coin and ring (2), then land on
the ledge at the top. Grab the ring and the Everything Nice up here
(3). Fly back down to the starting point, then right to the cloud.
Defeat the Vampire (4), then fly over to the next cloud, picking up a
ring and coin on the way (6). There is a Buttercup Hotline, under the
cloud, at the bottom of the screen. Don’t bother getting it. If you
touch the bottom, you’ll lose a life, so just skip it. Fly to get the
ring, coin, and bar (9), then land on the next cloud. Get the Chemical
X above the cloud. There’s a trading card under this cloud, again at
the bottom. Either get the card now and restart the level, or get the
card after you’ve completed this level. Go to the next cloud and get
the bar and ring (11). There’s another Chemical X over this cloud.
Defeat the Vampire that blocks your path to the next cloud (12). On
the way to the next cloud after that, you’ll see a ring, coin, Vampire
and bar (16). Fly down and to the left for a bar, ring, and coin (19),
then land on the cloud. Again, there is a Vampire on the way to the
next cloud (20). Get the 2 bottles of Chemical X and the much needed
heart, then fly up to a cloud that has the Sugar. The last cloud,
which is down and to the right, has a ring, bar, and coin (23). Fly
over to the right to land on a building and fight a Flying Octopus
(24).
In the next section, fly right to the cloud and get the coin, ring, and
bar (27). Then defeat the Flying Octopus and go to the next cloud for
two bottles of Chemical X 928). Fly right to the building and get the
ring, bar, and coin (31). Defeat the Armed Convict up here, then drop
down to defeat a Convict and rescue an Old Lady (34). You should have
notice a door while on this building. Go through it, and you’ll fall
down into a secret passage. There are two pieces of Stolen Loot, a
heart, and a Buttercup Hotline in here (36). After collecting the
items, go back outside and to the next could for a Chemical X and a
heart. Fly right, get the ring and coin, then defeat the Flying
Octopus that’s flying around (39). Go down to the next cloud and get
the coin, ring, and Chemical X (41). There is a Vampire just
underneath the next cloud. CAREFULLY defeat him (42), then go on top
of the cloud he was under. Fly up a bit more and you’ll find a trading
card sitting on another cloud. Go back down, then right for a coin,
ring, and heart (44). The next cloud has 2 Chemical X’s and a Bubbles
Hotline. The last cloud has a ring, coin, and bar (47). Fly over to
the building. Just before going to the next area, fly up and get the
bar and ring (49). There’s also a Red Chemical X up here. Now enter
the next section.
Defeat the Convict that’s roaming around once you enter the third
section (50). Now, fall off the edge of the building to land on a
small ledge with a coin (51). Now, fly up to the first cloud and
defeat the Flying Octopus (52). Go to the next cloud, then defeat the
Vampire that blocks your path to the next one (53). Underneath these
two clouds, you’ll find another cloud with a heart. Fly back up and
onto the next cloud for three bottles of Chemical X. The next cloud
has a coin (54), and the next one after that has a ring (55). Now, fly
onto the building and defeat the Convict and Vampire (57). The next
part is tricky. Fly down and around the building like this:
--------
____________ |
| | |
| | |
| ____ | |
|___| |___| |
| | |
|______|<--- land here
Down here, you can collect the Spice, a trading card, and a piece of
Stolen Loot (58). Go back on top of the building, then over to the
next cloud. Get the coin, ring, and bar (61), then defeat the Flying
Octopus (62). Fly to the next cloud to pick up a Chemical X, a ring,
and a coin (64). There’s a Vampire flying underneath the gap between
this cloud and the next one. Carefully take him out (65), then land on
the next cloud for a Chemical X. Drop down to the next cloud for a
heart, then down to the last cloud for a coin (66). A Vampire is
lurking underneath this cloud, so be careful (67). Fly onto the
building, then fall off the left side to land on a small ledge with a
trading card. Go back onto the building and get the Chemical X and the
key. Go all the way to the right, and you’ll see a ring (68).
Now, fly ALL THE WAY back to the beginning of this level. You can now
enter the locked door. Brick is waiting for you on the other side.
Defeat him the same way you took care of Butch and Boomer. There are
several clouds with hearts and Chemical X to help you continue the
fight.
Passwords:
----------
There are 3 types of passwords in all the Powerpuff Girls games. The
first kind give you extra trading cards (you can only use them once).
The second kind open secret levels. The third kind enables cheats
(which can only be used one at a time during play).
There are 23 known passwords in Bad Mojo Jojo. This list is one of the
few lists of CONFIRMED passwords on the Internet. Other websites may
have passwords, but they are not guaranteed to work (like “CLIPP,” the
extra legal pads “code”).
Thanks to the anonymous person who helped me gather these codes.

FAQ’s:
------
Q – How do I get access to the secret levels?
A – Passwords will give you access to the Pokey Oaks and Townsville Art
Museum Levels. After completing these levels at 100%, you’ll gain
access to the third secret level, Townville Skies.
Q – How do I obtain the rest of the trading cards?
A – Like in Pokémon, you have to trade to complete your collection.
You need the find someone with the other two games, Paint the
Townsville Green and Battle Him. Exchange your doubles for cards
you need. Or, you could pick up all three PPG games and borrow
someone else’s Game Boy Color and trade between games. In either
case, you’ll need a link cable.
Q – Can I play Bad Mojo Jojo on a Game Boy or Game Boy Pocket?
A – No. On most Game Boy games, the upper right corner is gone. If
you put one of these games in a regular Game Boy, you can turn on
the switch, because the switch fills that part in. But put any PPG
game in, and you can’t even turn on the switch (the wonders of
physical lockout technology). Even if you could turn the Game Boy
on, you’ll get a message telling you that you need a GBC to play
the game. I’m sure (although not positive) the Game Boy Pocket
works the same way.
Q – OK, I’ve beat the first level, but when I select “PLAY” on the Game
Menu, it shows the first level again. How do I get to the other
levels?
A – Well, you, like many before you, FORGOT TO READ THE INSTRUCTION
MANUAL!! It’s one of my biggest pet peeves. It says on page 8,
and I quote “Use the Control Pad and the A Button to choose a
level.”
