EPISODE I - RACER

Anakin Skywalker is no ordinary nine-year-old boy. And now, he
must face the ultimate test of his young life - a Podracer
challenge. It's a test of courage, fast reflexes, and quick
thinking, as the opponents maneuver their nine-meter-long (30-
foot-long) Podracers at speeds over 600 mph - flying just a few
feet above the ground.

Keeping a firm grip on the "reins", Anakin must fight to control
his Podracer's screaming jet engines, while keeping a constant
eye out for hazards and obstacles - and the dirty tricks of his
fellow racers.

For Anakin and his opponents, winning the race - at all costs -
is all that matters...

* CONTROLS FOR DEBUG MODE *
When the Debug Mode is activated, you can do the following with
the control pad (the digital cross-pad on the left of your
controller):

 Left + Z = See through walls
 Up = Fast-forward level
 Down = Re-wind level
 Left = Invisible Podracer
 Right = Destroy your Podracer

* CHEAT CODES MENU *
To activate the cheat codes marked with "@" (see above), type-in
one of those cheats (see section 6 to see how) and, when you're
racing, go to the PAUSE screen and introduce the following
sequence in your control pad (the digital cross, not the stick):
LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP. Then, the "Cheat Codes" option will appear
and the cheat/cheats you activated will be displayed, and you can
activate or change the cheat options by pressing C-Left and/or C-
Right.

* TURBO START *
The turbo start is a big impulse at the beggining of the race. To
make a turbo start, press A and Up at the same time when you see
the "one" signal about to disappear.

* MIRROR MODE *
It's a mode that allows you to invert the track horizontally. It
can be activated in two ways:
1) The first is with the cheat code RRTHEBEAST activated from
   the "Game Cheats" menu in Pause.
2) The other is finishing every track with 1st place, including
   the invitational ones. Then, the main screen will be
   inverted and the option "Mirror: On/Off" will appear in the
   Track Details Screen.

* AUTO-PILOT *
First, activate the "unlock all cheats" code and while playing
press R and Z to enable auto pilot, where you control only the
speed of the Podracer. Press R and Z again to disable auto
pilot.

* PLAYER TAUNTS *
To see your player and the track favorite player trash-talking,
keep pressed Z when you select START RACE in your menu. This
only works in the Tournament mode.

* PLAYER TAUNTS 2 *
Double-tap R and your pilot will talk (Sebulba will activate
his flamejet, but he will talk too).

* UNLOCK CHARACTERS *
These are the characters that you can unlock and the tracks where
you unlock them.

3) COMMON QUESTIONS
===================

WHAT ARE THE TRUGUTS?
The truguts are the money to buy things. To win truguts, place
4th or better in the race. You can distribute the amount of
truguts you win in the Track Details Screen in fair, by your
place or winner takes all.

HOW CAN I KEEP MY PODRACER IN GOOD CONDITION?
You can buy pit droids to keep it in good shape, 'cause when the
parts are damaged, they are less powerful.

HOW CAN I UPGRADE MY PODRACER?
When you finish the race, you can buy better parts to your
podracer with truguts in Watto's shop. If you can't afford his
prices, go to Watto's junkyard. In the junkyard he has the same
things, but because they're used and slightly damaged, their
price is significantly less.

WHAT ARE THE CHEAT CODES?
The cheat codes are secret codes to enhance the game, add
characters, etc. To activate them, go to an empty file; to type
it, keep pressed Z and select the letters using L instead of A,
and when you're finished, select END with L.

HOW CAN I PLAY AS JINN REESO?
To play as Jinn Reeso, you must have Mars Guo unlocked. Jinn
Reeso will take the place of Mars Guo.

HOW CAN I PLAY AS CY YUNGA?
To play as Cy Yunga, you must unlock 'Bullseye' Navior and have
entered the Jinn Reeso code. Cy Yunga will take the place of
'Bullseye' Navior.

HOW CAN I USE THE DUAL CONTROL MODE?
To use the dual control mode, use both controllers 1 and 3 to
move your podracer. Press up in both controllers to accelerate
and back to steer.
