1 -Introduction
star ocean: blue sphere is the sequel of Star ocean 2: the second story. Its
not a really a revolutonizing game but it is more like an expansion or a side
story. It has a pretty good soundtrack as well as decent graphics to back it
up. A game for true hardcore players. rating (7/10)
2 -Version update
v.02 is a remodle of my orginal guide. It covers a greater deal of information
as well as covers some loose ends.

*Note*
every monster has an elemental weak point. This isn't entirely accurate
but it gives you a hint on how each opponent differs.

Starting stats: Hp 40, Mp 40, str 6, Con 9, dex 10, agi 5, int 7, res

Precis is the best person to have when it comes to item creation. She gains
Custimize, Metalwork, Art, Sunday Carpenter, and Machinery way before any one
else can. In battle, she isn't to great. Precis' killer moves take up way too
much energy and her normal attack is decent at best. The Giant robot shes in
requires computer chips to gain field actions like mapper. In battle i
recommend that mole, Seige attack, tremors, and Daruma strike and keep
her in middle position.
Precis gains her moves through machinery. Daruma-strike is learned
with pschic connection.

Battlewise, Dias ownz. He has potentially the strongest attack and defense
with some good range to back it up. His killer moves are above average.
They don't use too much energy and have great damage potentials. However,
Dias weakpoints is his speed and his out of battle effectiveness. He has
really slow running speed and recovery is sluggish. The worst thing is that
he rarely get any useful item creations or feild actions. In battle i would
use the last four techniques. I recomend him in the front position.
Dias gains his Moves through combat after leveling up his mp and int.

Noel has made quite an improvement since his last appearence. His spells
are better than the last game and in blue sphere mages are actually useful.
Noel also is the only healer you start with and I prefer to use his healing
over his wind and earth spells. Being a mage means he gains a large amount
of item creation as you level up. Unfortunatly his weapens don't give him a
great magic boost like others and his stats are average. Rolling Panda! and
fairy light, and dispel should be always be on you list. Rear position.
Noel is a mage. He learns spells through casting spells of the same
elemental properties or types. status spells are learned through other
status spells ect. Heraldic research is required for recover, refresh,
revive, and rolling panda.

Bowman is hands-down the best character in the game. The reason is simple:
He doesn't have any real flaws like everyone else. In combat his speed and
attack is fast and his killer move set is the cheapest in terms of energy
not including opera. He also can gain compounding early on. his only draw-
back is that he isn't the best at anything but he does come pretty damn
close to it. I recommend neck breaker, death siege, cheery blossom connect
and explode. Keep him in the front line.
Bowman gains his Moves through combat after leveling up his mp and int.
Cherry blossom explode is gained through pyschic connection.

Chisato is kinda like a ninja reporter. Fast and quick, Chisato relies on
speed and power to make up for her lack of defense. That sums her up pretty
much. Something that really annoyed me was that she had no long range attack
or all her weapons were lighting types like the ones other fighter characters
do. She gains art and photography fairly easily. Preparation is her best move
by far. Anything else is your choice but energy costs are kinda high.
Front-line position.
Chisato gains her moves through machinery. special attack "1000
iron fists" is learned with pschic connection.

A classy mage, Celine relies on elemental weaknesses and a large selection
of spells to get through. She has a lot of item creation abilites as well as
the best feild actions in the game. Her only drawback is that her elemental
spells can sometimes be out classed by elemntal killer moves. Any spell is
fine to use as long as there is variety. Rear position fighter.
Celine is a mage. she learns spells through casting spells of the same
elemental properties or types. status spells are learned through other
status spells ect. Heraldic research is required for explosion, thunder cloud
and meteor swarm.

Ashton is a somewhat the opposite of chisato. Instead of focusing on attack,
speed, and a close combat Ashton uses speed, defense and killer moves to his
advantage. Ashton is also the strongest killer move wise compared to other
characters but they do have high energy use. He learns cooking and identify
early on. I would always keep leaf slash as well as spirit dragon attack on
his list. Frontline fighter.

Leon is the mage to use when in need of pure magic power. He has the smallest
selection of spells and all of them pack a punch. Like other mages he gains
many item creations. His feild actions aren't as great as celine and his
spells selection don't have many elemental strengths. All around a good mage
to use when in doubt. rear-position.

Ernest hasn't done anything to redeem himself since the last game which is
a waste since he had potential in blue sphere. His regular attack is really
slow but it somewhat makes it up with really good range. His killer moves
are unimpressive damage wise and use more energy than they should. I recomend
his final attack and any elemental that suits you. middle positon.

Opera has large resemblance to marvel from the first star ocean. They both
suck at close combat, focus on killer moves, and can't be considered a mage
or fighter. That being said, Opera is an okay character. her energy
consumption is the lowest in the game, however, most of her moves aren't
that amazing. By now item-creation is handled by Precis or someone else.
I recommend hyper launcher over rainbow barrage. middle position.

Rena is the last mage you get and she has the largest selection of
spells. She gains the raise dead spell and can revive destroyed objects
and monsters. All her spells are light based so don't rely on her spells
too much. I wouldn't recomend her unless you plan to go through the bonus
dungeon or have a spare 20,000 skill points to level her up. raise dead,
dispel, and fairy light are the only spells you need. rear position.
Rena is a mage. she learns spells through casting spells of the same
elemental properties or types. status spells are learned through other
status spells ect. Heraldic research is required for recover, refresh,
revive, and celestial arrow.

Claude sucks. You must go through great lengths to get him only to realize
that he starts at level 1. Other than that he is one knotch above Ernest
so he isn't the worst person to have. In Combat he is a mix of Dias and
Ashton with a really crappy attack. He relies on killer moves. Phase gun is
effectivly his best move.
