Intro:
This is a walkthrough/information guide for the SNES and Gameboy Color
games Little Magic. Both games were only released in Japan, but both
have since been translated. There is also an NES game called Little
Magic, but it is not related to these two games. This guide will cover
the basic mechanics of the game, as well as complete walkthroughs for
each level. It should be noted that this walkthrough currently only
covers up through stage 77 (SNES)/master stage 27 (GBC). I wanted to
get this guide up to help people get well into the game. I have made it
a little ways past level 77 and hope to update this guide as I progress
through the game. Any questions/comments may be sent to

covered in this walkthrough, those strategies will be included in a
future release of this guide.

Basic information:
Because Little Magic is a puzzle game, the controls are fairly basic.
For the most part, the controls are the same for both versions of the
game. The control pad moves May around. Select is used to commit
suicide/start the level over. Start pauses the game. When the GBC
version is paused, you can use the arrow keys to look around the level,
since the whole level isn't on one screen like on the SNES version. On
the GBC version, A creates bubbles and B is used to shove objects. On
the SNES, the buttons are reversed: B for bubbles and A to shove. The
other buttons on the SNES controller aren't used. You can create
bubbles of three different sizes: small, medium and large. Hit A
(GBC)/B (SNES) to create a bubble (small). Hit it again to create a
medium one. Hit it again and the bubble will grow to large. Hit it
again and the bubble will pop. In addition, bubbles will slowly shrink
in size and pop on their own. There are a few rare cases where bubbles
will grow, rather than shrink, but I'll discuss those instances in the
walkthrough proper. You can use B (GBC)/A (SNES) to shove the flame
(SNES)/heart (GBC) as well as bubbles. May will remain stationary, but
the object will skip ahead one square. You should also note that you
can't turn without moving. If you push right, for example, May will
turn to the right and will also take a step to the right. The exception
to this rule is if you are next to an obstacle and can't take a step in
that direction. There are a couple of different floor tiles, but those
will be discussed below as they appear. The enemies can't be killed,
only avoided, although some can be blocked with bubbles.

Walkthrough:
Although the levels are the same for both versions and I will list both
level names, I prefer the SNES version (I like being able to see the
whole level on the screen at one time) and that will be my basis for
this walkthrough. For those of you playing the GBC version, when I talk
about the flame, substitute heart. Passwords for the SNES levels will
be given below. Most of the techniques/strategies needed to beat the
game will be learned in the first few levels or by watching the demo at
the beginning (don't hit anything on the title screen). Also remember
that proper timing can often mean the difference between success and
failure. Note that when I say push, I mean walk forward pushing the
object in front of you. When I say shove, I mean for you to use the A
(SNES)/B (GBC) button. Directions are always given relative to the
screen (i.e. up is to the top of the screen, left towards the left side
of the screen, etc.) regardless of what direction May is facing. With
that in mind, on with the walkthrough.
Stage 1/Apprentice stage 1:
Push the flame up until it is on the tile that looks like a grey flame.
This is the objective for each stage. Note that the flame can be pushed
off of the tile at a later time. You can't exit the stage unless the
flame is currently on the flame tile. Once it is, walk onto the stairs
to go to the next stage.
Stage 2/Apprentice stage 2:
Push the flame all the way up. Then, push the flame all the way to the
left until it is on the water. Shove it onto the flame tile, then take
the stairs.
Stage 3/Apprentice stage 3:
Push the flame to the right until it is on the water. Shove it to the
right. Create a bubble on the water. When it pops (moving the flame),
go around the water and push the flame to the right. Push the flame all
the way down, then all the way to the left. Once the flame is on the
water, shove it to the left. Create a bubble which, when it pops, will
move the flame onto the flame tile. Take the stairs.
Stage 4/Apprentice stage 4:
Shove the flame right. Create a bubble. When that bubble pops, create
another bubble, then shove it right, before it pops. Once it pops, the
flame should be on the flame tile, so exit.
Stage 5/Apprentice stage 5:
Stage 5 introduces arrow tiles. You can't walk across them in the
direction opposite to which they point. For example, see the arrow tile
next to the flame? You can't walk across it going left, since it is
pointing to the right. You can however, create bubbles on them no
matter what direction they are pointing. That said, walk up and follow
the path clockwise until you are on the stairs. Push the flame right
onto the flame tile. Exit.
Stage 6/Apprentice stage 6:
Stage 6 teaches an important technique necessary for the later levels.
Push the flame all the way up. Then push it left, but not all the way,
far enough so that you can walk around it. Note the small alcove in the
upper left part of the level. Create a bubble in this alcove, then,
before the bubble pops, push the flame the rest of the way to the left.
When the bubble pops, it will move the flame down. You can now get
behind the flame and push it all the way down onto the flame tile. Now
exit.
Stage 7/Apprentice stage 7:
Stage 7 introduces collapsing tiles (the tiles just below you at the
start). They won't collapse with you on them, but will as soon as you
step off. Once they collapse, they won't reappear (unless you start the
level over), so you can only take that path once. Follow the path
(across the collapsing tiles) until you are just to the left of the
flame (underneath the green [yellow in the GBC version] block that must
be for aesthetics, since it doesn't seem to serve any other purpose).
Before you move the flame, note the alcove to the right, a few squares
below the flame tile. As with level 6, create a bubble in this alcove
(you'll have to use the collapsing tile to turn around), then push the
flame to the right before the bubble pops (you should have enough time
to use a small bubble. However, feel free to use a larger bubble if
that makes you more comfortable). Once the bubble pops, the flame ought
to be where the collapsing tile was. Get below the flame and shove it
up. Then create a bubble to move it onto the flame tile. Push the green
block up out of your way and exit.
Stage 8/Apprentice stage 8:
Stage 8 brings us three new objects: spikes, grass, and enemies. May
can't move onto the spikes, but the flame can. However, this destroys
the flame, meaning you lose a life. You (and the flame) can safely walk
on grass (other levels have choppy ice or bogs, but the principle
remains the same), but your movement will be significantly slowed. The
enemies are there to make your life miserable. Push the flame to the
right (not onto the spike, obviously, but one square to the left). Put
a bubble in the alcove down and right from you. Push the flame down
(beware the spike). Once the bubble pops, push the flame to the left
(again, not all the way. Stop when May is directly above the stairs).
Push the flame down one square, then left one square. Then, push it
down until it is just above the spike. Push it to the right, but stop
two squares from the right hand wall. The flame should be below a
spike and May will be right above the last pillar in the row below you.
She will be above a pillar, the flame will not. Note the alcove up and
right from you, kitty-corner from the spike. Place a bubble there, then
push the flame up (be careful not to go too fast and push the flame
into the spike). Once the bubble pops, you can get behind the flame and
push it to the left onto the flame tile. Remember that you can push the
flame too far into the spike. Once the flame is on the flame tile, wait
until the snake passes you going to the right. Quickly move onto the
grass and hurry to the left to the stairs. There isn't enough room to
really maneuver and block the snake with a bubble, so you'll just have
to outrun it.
Stage 9/Apprentice stage 9:
Push the flame to the left until it is next to the spike. Then push it
all the way down. Push the flame to the right (watch the snake. It can
touch the flame with no adverse effects, but will kill you if it
touches you) until it is next to the spike. Push it four squares up
(not touching the spike, but one square below that, level with the last
pillar in the column to your right). Run back down and around to the
left, clockwise until you are right above the flame. In the alcove to
your right, place a medium or large bubble, then quickly run back
around (watch the snake again) and push the flame up before the bubble
pops. Once it does, push the flame to the left just past the row of
pillars (May will be above the stairs) (make sure the snake is below
the flame, too). Push the flame down two squares so that it is level
with the flame tile. Wait until the snake is moving down, then push the
flame onto the flame tile and exit.
Stage 10/Apprentice stage 10:
Stage 10 is the same as stage 4, you just have to move the flame an
extra square. For the first time, you'll be using bubbles to move other
bubbles. This is another key technique for later levels. Start by
shoving the flame to the right. Create a bubble and let it pop. Create
another bubble, shove it to the right, and wait for it to pop. There
are two ways to do the final step. One way is to create a medium or
large bubble, shove it to the right, then create a small bubble. The
small bubble will pop first, moving the first bubble to the right. When
the first bubble pops, it will then push the flame onto the flame tile.
The other method is to create a bubble, then shove it. Before this
bubble pops, create another bubble, but pop this second bubble
yourself. The first bubble will then move to the right and then move
the flame onto the flame tile. You'll be using both techniques
throughout the coarse of the game. Once the flame is on the flame tile,
exit the stage.
Stage 11/Apprentice stage 11:
Push the flame down until it is just above the spike. Push it to the
left until it is underneath the water, right next to the spike. Create
a bubble on the water. When it pops, push the flame all the way down.
Push the flame to the right until it is right above the water (and
below a spike). Push the flame down onto the water, then shove it down.
Push the flame to the left, just past the water (May will be above the
water). Create a bubble on the water, then push the flame on square to
the right (it should be above the water). When the bubble pops, push
the flame up until it is next to the stairs. Push the flame one square
down, then left onto the water. Now it's just like stage 10. Shove the
flame down, then create a bubble on the water. When it pops, create
another bubble and shove it. When it pops, create another bubble. Shove
it and create a second bubble. Manually pop the second bubble before
the first one pops. The flame should now be on the flame tile. Exit.
Stage 12/Apprentice stage 12:
Stage 12 introduces ice. You cannot stop yourself on ice; you will
continue in the direction you were heading until you hit an obstacle or
run out of ice. The flame is not affected by ice. Bubbles are also
immune to its effects. However, neither will stop you on ice. Push the
flame to the right across the ice and collapsing tile until it is one
square from the right edge (kitty-corner with a pillar). Now push the
flame one square to the left. Push it down onto the water. Shove it
onto the other square of water, then create a bubble on the first water
square. When the bubble pops, push the flame to the left onto the flame
tile. Go back to the left to the ice. Go up a square and turn around so
that you are facing the ice, but aren't on it. Create a bubble in front
of you and push it down. You and the bubble will slide all the way down
until the bubble is in the alcove and you can walk to the left. Head to
the exit.
Stage 13/Apprentice stage 13:
Push the flame down to three squares from the bottom (kitty-corner with
the last spike in the right hand column). Walk around the flame and
push it one square to the left. Then push it up until it is just below
the spike. Push it to the left onto the ice. Push the flame up to two
squares from the top (just below the ice). Walk around the flame and
push it one square to the left. Push it down to the spike. Walk to just
above the ice to the right. Create a bubble on the first square of ice.
Once it pops, pushing the flame to the left, push the flame down to two
squares from the bottom (where you'll stop after sliding down the ice).
Push the flame one square to the left, then shove it to the left. Push
it up to two squares below the top (again, where you stop after sliding
on the ice). Walk around the flame and push it one square to the left.
Shove it to the left onto the ice. Push it down to the flame tile.
Exit.
Stage 14/Apprentice stage 14:
Push the flame all the way to the left. Push it down onto the water.
Shove it down. Create a bubble and quickly walk down, across the arrow
into the alcove in the lower left corner of the stage. When the bubble
pops, push the flame all the way to the right onto the flame tile and
exit.
Stage 15/Apprentice stage 15:
Walk across the collapsing tiles and push the flame up. Push the flame
to the right until May is on one collapsing tile and the flame is on
the other (right above the arrow). Shove the flame to the right. Walk
across the arrow, around the flame and push it all the way down. Push
the flame one square to the left, then all the way down again. Push it
all the way to the left. Push it all the way up, and then push the
flame all the way to the left. Push the flame down onto the first
collapsing tile, then shove it down. Create a bubble on the first
collapsing tile, then run around the flame into the alcove. When the
bubble pops, push the flame one square to the right. Walk onto the
first collapsing tile and create a bubble to the right (above the
flame). When the bubble pops, push the flame down onto the flame tile
and exit.
Stage 16/Apprentice stage 16:
Walk down to the water. Create a bubble to the right on the water.
Shove it to the right. Create a second bubble and manually pop it. The
first bubble, when it pops, should move the flame to the right. Push
the flame down, then shove it. Create a bubble. When it pops, create
another bubble and shove it. Create another bubble and shove it. Before
it pops, create a second bubble and manually pop it. When the first
bubble pops, create a new bubble (large for sure, although medium will
work if you're quick). Shove it. Create a new bubble and manually pop
it. Create a small bubble and shove it. This new bubble should pop
first pushing the first bubble down. When the first bubble pops, it
should push the flame down onto the flame tile. Walk across the
collapsing tile to the exit.
Stage 17/Apprentice stage 17:
Teleports (two squares to your left at the start) are the new thing in
stage 17. Step on one and you appear on the other. Simple. Anyway, push
the flame up, then shove it up. Create a bubble. When it pops, create
another bubble and shove it up. Once the flame is on the flame tile,
step on the teleport. Walk down and around to the first arrow. Take two
steps to the right and one up. Walk across the arrow to your left, then
walk up. Step onto the arrow to your right, then walk up to the exit.
Stage 18/Apprentice stage 18:
Walk to the non-collapsing tile surrounded by a room of collapsing
tiles. Take two steps to the left, then walk all the way up (watch the
snakes). Walk right until you are right above the flame. Push the flame
down two squares. Shove it down. When the snake to your right is in the
upper right corner, quickly take one step to your right, then walk all
the way down. Push the flame onto the non-collapsing tile. Walk up two
steps and right one. Quickly walk down, pushing the flame to two
squares above the bottom. Put a bubble in the alcove on the right side
of the screen, above the flame tile (you'll have to step onto the flame
tile to get turned around). Push the flame all the way to the right.
When the bubble pops, it will move the flame onto the flame tile. Walk
to the left and exit.
Stage 19/Apprentice stage 19:
Quickly create a bubble above you. This will block the snake. You may
need to pump the bubble back up to keep it from popping. Push the
bubble all the way up, trapping the snake in the small alcove. Walk
around the flame and push it to the right onto the flame tile. Walk
left and exit.
Stage 20/Apprentice stage 20:
Stage 20 will show how well you can use bubbles to manipulate the
flame. Walk over to the space between the pillars and the left side of
the level, two squares beneath the stairs. Create a bubble. Walk
around the pillars to the square right above here the flame is now
(after the bubble popped). Create a bubble in the space in between you
and the stairs. Quickly walk up a square, create another bubble to your
left (directly above the first bubble), and manually pop it. When the
first bubble pops, walk down a square and create a bubble below you
(where the flame used to be). When it pops, take a step to your right
and create a bubble to your right (directly above the flame). Push the
flame to the right, then shove it. Create a bubble and let it pop.
Create a new bubble, then shove it and let it pop. Create a new bubble,
shove it, then create a second bubble and manually pop it. When the
first bubble pops, create a new bubble, at least medium in size.
Quickly shove it, create a new bubble, and manually pop it. Create a
new bubble (small), shove it, create a new bubble and manually pop it.
When the first bubble pops, the flame should be directly under the
flame tile. Walk down and right a step. Create a large bubble to your
right, quickly shove it, create a new bubble and manually pop it.
Create a small bubble and shove it. Create a new small bubble (you
don't have to wait for the other small bubble to pop first), shove it,
the create another bubble and manually pop it. Hopefully, the first
bubble will then slide under the flame and push it onto the flame tile
when it pops. Once the flame's in place, take the stairs.
Disciple stage 1:
Slight deviance between the two versions of the game. For those of you
on the SNES version, stage 21 is the next level discussed below.
Disciple stage 1 introduces two new items. The first is the fact that
bubbles will grow rather than shrink. You still build bubbles up, from
small to large, but large is the stage before popping, rather than
small in previous levels. This reversal, however, only applies to lava.
Bubbles behave normally on tiles. The other new item is the rune
tile. These tiles are the ones with the funny symbol on them (like the
one two squares to the right of the flame at the beginning). You can't
create bubbles while you are standing on these tiles. Anyway, walk onto
the second collapsing tile. Create a bubble below you and shove it.
Walk down until you are two squares above the stairs (level with the
lower rune tile, a collapsing tile and the heart). Walk onto the
collapsing tile to your right, then a step to the left so that you are
not on a rune tile, but facing to the left (towards the heart). Create
a bubble (on the rune tile) and shove it. When the bubble pops, create
a new bubble and shove it. Quickly create another bubble and manually
pop it. Create a new bubble (small or medium) and shove it. Create a
new bubble and manually pop it. Create a large bubble and shove it.
Walk down to the exit.
Stage 21/Disciple stage 2:
For those of you just joining us on the SNES version, note that bubbles
will grow rather than shrink on lava. A large bubble will pop, rather
than a small one. This only occurs on lava, and not on the other tiles
of the level. Now, walk all the way to the right and create a bubble
below you. Shove it, create a new bubble and manually pop it. Take two
steps to the left (you should be above the flame). Create a bubble
below you and shove it. When it pops, create a new bubble, shove it,
create another bubble and manually pop it. Walk across the collapsing
tiles down to the flame. Shove it to the right. Create a bubble and let
it pop. Create another bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new
bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Once the
first bubble pops, create a new bubble (small or medium) and shove it.
Create a new bubble and manually pop it. Create a large bubble and
shove it. Create a small bubble. Shove it, create a new bubble and
manually pop it. Create a large bubble and shove it. Create a new large
bubble (you don't have to wait for the other large bubble to pop
first), shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. This
should land the first bubble on the non-lava tile, where it will
shrink, then pop, moving the flame onto the flame tile.
Stage 22/Disciple stage 3:
On the SNES version, this is the first level that introduces rune
tiles. These are the tiles five squares below you with the symbols on
them. You cannot create bubbles when you are standing on them. That
said, take a step to the right, create a bubble below you and shove it.
Walk two steps to the left (so that you are above the flame) and create
a bubble below you. When it pops, create another bubble and shove it.
After it pops, create another bubble, shove it, create a new bubble and
manually pop it. Walk down to the flame and push it two squares to the
right (so that it is right next to a spike). Go back, all the way to
the left and up one square. Create a bubble (small or medium), shove
it, create a new bubble and manually pop it. Create a large bubble,
shove it, create a new bubble and manually pop it. Walk on the rune
tiles and shove the flame down. Walk down and around to the right.
There's a single tile in the upper right corner with spikes above you
and to your right (its three squares to the right of and one above the
flame's current position). Stand there and create a bubble to your
left. Shove it, then create a new bubble and manually pop it. Walk down
and right so that you are kitty-corner with the flame. Create a bubble
to your left (directly above the flame). When the bubble pops, shove
the flame down. Walk down and push the flame all the way to the right.
When you are on the stairs, shove the flame onto the flame tile.
Stage 23/Disciple stage 4:
Walk left and up and push the flame to the right. Shove it another
square onto the collapsing tiles. Walk down, right, then up. Push the
flame up until it is on the rune tile (you are on the last collapsing
tile). Shove the flame up. Create a bubble and let it pop. Create a
new bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new bubble, shove it,
create another bubble and manually pop it. Walk up and left one square
(onto the first collapsing tile). Create a bubble above you, shove it,
create another bubble and manually pop it. Create a small bubble and
shove it. Walk left, up then right, until you are on the fourth
collapsing tile (one to the left of under the flame, two from the upper
right rune tile). Create a bubble above you and shove it. When it pops,
take a step to the right, create a bubble above you and shove it. Walk
onto the rune tile, then down two steps (only the first collapsing tile
will collapse). Turn around and create a bubble above you. Shove it,
then create another bubble and manually pop it. Create a small bubble
and shove it. Walk down to the exit.
Stage 24/Disciple stage 5:
Push the flame up onto the water. Wait until the enemy is to the left
of the flame, then shove the flame. The enemy will push the flame onto
the flame tile for you. Walk to the exit.
Stage 25/Disciple stage 6:
Push the flame to the right, onto the water, then shove it. Create a
bubble on the water and let it pop. Walk around the water and push the
flame to the right onto the water. Shove it to the right. Walk around
the water and push the flame all the way down. Then, push the flame to
the left onto the water and shove it. Create a bubble on the water and
let it pop. Walk around the water, push the flame to the left onto the
water. Walk around the flame/water and create a bubble on the square of
water in the alcove (kitty-corner to the flame). Quickly walk back
around the flame and shove it to the left. When the bubble pops, create
a bubble on the water and shove it to the left (so that it'll be
directly above the flame). When the bubble pops, push the flame all the
way down. Push the flame to the right onto the water. Shove it to the
right. Create a bubble to your right and let it pop. Walk around the
water until you are kitty-corner with the flame, one square to the
left. Create a bubble above you. When it pops, walk under the flame
and, when the enemy is to the left of it, shove the flame up. In the
GBC version, the enemy will push the flame all the way to the right,
onto the flame tile. On the SNES version, the enemy will only push the
flame as far as the water. Stand just to the left of the stairs, create
a bubble above you and shove it. Exit.
Stage 26/Disciple stage 7:
Push the flame all the way up, all the way right, then all the way
down. Push the flame to the left until it is on the collapsing tile.
Shove it to the left. Create a small bubble below you, then quickly
walk onto the collapsing tile and create another bubble below you. Once
both bubbles pop, shove the flame onto the flame tile and exit.
Stage 27/Disciple stage 8:
First, push the green (SNES)/yellow (GBC) block to the right one
square. Wait for the snake to be in the alcove up and to your right,
then push the block to the right to block it in. Walk around to the
other block and do the same thing, only going left this time. Once both
snakes are contained, go back to the flame. Shove it down, create a
bubble and let it pop. Create a new bubble and shove it. Create a new
bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Create a
medium or large bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually
pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. Walk down until you are
directly above the flame, then shove it down. Create a bubble and let
it pop. Create a new bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new
bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Push the
flame until it is directly under the water (May will be right under a
tree). Push the flame up, then shove it. Create a bubble and let it
pop. Create a new bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new
bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Create a
medium or large bubble and shove it. Create another bubble and manually
pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. When the first bubble pops,
walk up to the flame, and shove it up. Create a bubble and let it pop.
Create a new bubble and shove it. Walk around to the stairs and exit.
Stage 28/Disciple stage 9:
Those of you playing the GBC version may recognize this stage as the
one shown in the demo. Walk left and down, across the collapsing tile
to the flame. Push the flame up, onto the water, then shove it right.
Create a bubble and let it pop. Walk to the left and create a bubble on
the collapsing tile. When it pops, walk across the collapsing tile.
Walk all the way to the right (May will be kitty-corner to the flame).
Create a bubble below you and shove it. Quickly walk two steps to the
left (now she's kitty-corner to the flame to the left). Create a bubble
below you and manually pop it. Walk up to the flame. Create a bubble
below you, then quickly take a step to your left, create a bubble below
you and manually pop it. Push the flame all the way up, then all the
way left onto the flame tile. Exit.
Stage 29/Disciple stage 10:
Push the flame all the way to the right, all the way up, all the left,
all the way up, then all the way to the left (beware the spike. The
flame should be directly under the arrow). Push the flame up onto the
arrow, then shove it. Walk to the left, across the collapsing tile,
then up and push the flame all the way to the right. Walk back to the
left, cross the arrow, the walk across the collapsing tile, pushing the
flame up. Push it up until it is two squares from the top of the screen
(May will be level with the flame tile). Walk around the flame and push
it down one square. Then push it all the way to the left onto the flame
tile. Take the stairs and exit.
Stage 30/Disciple stage 11:
Stage 30 is one of the few levels where getting the flame onto the
flame tile isn't the hard part, it's surviving. Remember that there is
no time limit, so wait until you have a really clear shot, rather than
just rush forward and get yourself killed. Also note that you can't
create bubbles while you are walking. The GBC also has one fewer snake,
but it isn't much of a problem, anyway. For those of you playing the
SNES version, cross the collapsing tile when the snake is below you, so
that it gets trapped by the water. Those on the GBC version can cross
whenever. The next part can be tricky. You want the up/down snake to be
above you and the left/right snake to be heading to the right when you
get down there. Use a bubble to block the left/right snake onto the
arrow temporarily. Walk to the upper right corner of the level. Wait
until this up/down snake is moving down before you step onto the grass.
Walk across the collapsing tile and duck into the alcove to your left.
Use a bubble to temporarily block the snake if need-be. Wait in the
alcove until the snake is above you, then hurry down. Turn left at the
bottom to avoid the snake. Wait until the left/right snake is moving
left, then follow it. If you create a bubble, you can block off the
snake so that you can make it to the left-most alcove. Once the snake
is moving right, hurry to the left, walk down and around and push the
flame onto the flame tile. Now you just have to get back to the stairs.
Deal with the left/right snake in the same manner you did above, just
reverse: wait until he's moving right, block him, head for the
right-most alcove, when the snake moves left, you go right. You can use
a bubble to block the up/down snake to allow you easy access to the
alcove to the left. Wait above the arrow until the left/right snake is
moving left. Quickly move to the first path up (not the one with the
snake). Wait until the left/right snake is to your right and the
up/down snake is moving up, then hurry to the other up path (with the
snake). Use a bubble to block the snake, cross the arrow, take the
stairs and exit.
Stage 31/Disciple stage 12:
Push the flame down three squares (May will be level with the first
tree on you left). Walk around the flame and create a medium or large
bubble in the small alcove on the right side of the screen. Quickly
push the flame down level with the bubble. When the bubble pops, push
the flame three squares to the left (May will be directly above the
break in the trees). Create a medium or large bubble in the alcove
below you and quickly push the flame one square right, then all the way
down. Push the flame three squares to the left (the flame will be
directly above the last tree in the row below you). In the alcove above
you, on the left side of the screen, create a large bubble. Quickly
create a small bubble in the alcove below you, at the bottom of the
screen, then push the flame one square to the left. Quickly push the
flame all the way up. When the first bubble pops, push the flame up to
two squares below the top of the screen (the flame will be level with
the stairs). Push the flame down one square. Create a medium or large
bubble in the alcove below the stairs. Quickly push the flame up one
square, then all the way to the left, onto the stairs. When the bubble
pops, take the stairs and exit.
Stage 32/Disciple stage 13:
First, push the green/yellow block all the way up, out of the way.
Then, go down and push the flame one square to the left. Walk around
the trees below you and create a medium or large bubble in the alcove
below the flame to the left. Run back around the trees and push the
flame one square to the left (directly above the bubble). When the
bubble pops, push the flame one square to the left, then one square
up. Create a medium or large bubble in the alcove on the left side of
the screen, above the flame to the left. Run back around the trees and
push the flame one square up. When the bubble pops, push the flame one
square to the right. Create a medium or large bubble in the alcove
that's below and to the right of the flame. Run around the tree and
push the flame one square to the right. When the bubble pops, push the
flame up one square, then all the way to the right onto the flame tile.
Exit.
Stage 33/Disciple stage 14:
Walk down (watch the snake) and create a bubble directly above the
flame. When it pops, walk down a step (kitty-corner with the flame).
Create a medium or large bubble to your left and shove it. Quickly walk
up a step, create a small bubble to your left and shove it. When the
first bubble pops, push the flame down a square and then right one
(onto the water). Walk down, around the trees. Create a large bubble in
the alcove under the flame tile (use the flame tile to turn around, not
the collapsing tile). Quickly run back to the flame, shove it to the
right, then create a bubble on the water and manually pop it. Push the
flame the rest of the way to the right (watch the spike). Before the
bubble pops, walk across the collapsing tile, across the flame tile,
onto the stairs. When the bubble pops, it'll move the flame onto the
flame tile.
Stage 34/Disciple stage 15:
This stage introduces something new: fire. You can temporarily put out
the fire by shoving it (you don't actually move it, but use the shove
button while facing the fire). May can walk onto the fire and it can
reappear under her feet (both will kill her). You can push the flame
into the fire, but this will destroy the flame. So, walk down, put out
the fire, then walk over to the other fire. Put it out, walk down under
the water. Create a bubble on the water and manually pop it. Create a
small bubble on the water and a shove it. When it pops, push the flame
the rest of the way up, onto the flame tile. Walk to the stairs
(remember to put out the fire first) and exit.
Stage 35/Disciple stage 16:
Walk onto the ice to your right, then slide up. You'll stop on the
flame tile. Create a medium or large bubble above you. Slide back down,
push the flame onto the ice, then push it all the way up (onto the
flame tile). Wait where you stop until the bubble pops (otherwise it
will move the flame off of the flame tile). When it pops, slide back
down. Create a large bubble on the ice, two squares up from the bottom,
then slide it up. Quickly walk to the left, use the collapsing tile to
turn around, and create a bubble to your right. Slide all the way to
the right, then quickly walk down to the stairs. The object is to get
to the stairs before the first bubble pops and moves the flame off of
the flame tile.
Stage 36/Disciple stage 17:
Push the flame up but not all the way. Stop when the flame is on the
first square of ice. Shove the flame up. Walk around the flame and push
it to the right. Again, don't push it all the way, but stop when the
flame is on the first square of ice. Shove the flame to the right. Push
the flame down. Stop when the flame is level with the first square of
water (on your left)/last square of water (on your right). Create a
medium bubble to your right, then quickly walk up a step and create a
small bubble to your right. Walk down to the flame and shove it to the
left. Create a bubble to your left (on the water). When it pops, walk
down a step, create a bubble and shove it. Create a new bubble and
manually pop it. Walk up two steps, turn around and create a bubble
below you. Walk all the way down. Walk left, then push the flame all
the way up. Push the flame all the way to the left onto the flame tile.
Exit.
Stage 37/Disciple stage 18:
Walk onto the collapsing tile and create a large bubble to your left.
Shove it, create a new bubble and manually pop it. Create a small
bubble and shove it. When the second bubble pops, create a new bubble
and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it. Now, before
the two existing bubbles pop, slide to the left, then walk down. One
bubble will slide with you, but two will stop you. Push the flame to
the left onto the flame tile, then walk to the right to the stairs and
exit.
Stage 38/Disciple stage 19:
Create a bubble to your right, then walk all the way to the right. Walk
across the collapsing tile, pushing the flame down one square. Walk to
the right one square and create a bubble below you. When it pops, slide
to the left. Shove the flame down. Create a bubble below you. Walk over
to (but not onto) the ice. Create a medium or large bubble to your left
(on the first square of ice). Shove it, create a new bubble and
manually pop it. Create a new bubble and shove it. Walk to the left,
then across the collapsing tile. Walk to the right until you are
directly above the flame. Shove it down, then create a bubble below
you. When it pops, create another bubble and shove it. Walk back to the
left to the ice. Like above, create a medium or large bubble, shove it,
create a new bubble and manually pop it. Create another bubble and
shove it. Walk left, then down across the collapsing tile. Walk down to
the ice. Create a bubble below you, then push it down. Slide to the
right, then walk up to the flame. Shove the flame to the right. Walk up
and right (so you're kitty-corner with the flame). Create a bubble to
your right (on the ice, directly above the flame) and let it pop. Walk
left and down (walk to the left again to get turned around). Create a
bubble to your right and shove it. Walk back to the stairs and exit
when the bubble pops (moving the flame onto the flame tile).
Stage 39/Disciple stage 20:
This stage introduces barricades (pink [SNES]/grey [GBC] pillars).
These can be knocked down temporarily with a bubble. Each barricade has
a "nose" pointing in one direction. Barricades can be taken down by
having a bubble popped in front of the nose. For example, the barricade
three squares to your left at the start has a nose pointing to the
right. Pop a bubble just to the right of it and the barricade will
collapse for awhile. Barricades won't pop back up if there is something
(May, flame, bubble) on top of them. That said, walk to the left and
pop a bubble in front of the barricades. Shove the flame to the left.
Create a bubble to your left. When it pops, create a new bubble and
shove it. When that one pops, create a new bubble, shove it, create
another bubble and manually pop it. Create a medium or large bubble and
shove it. Create a new bubble and manually pop it. Create a small
bubble and shove it. Walk up and around to the barricades. Pop a bubble
in front of them (the lower one has a nose pointing up, although its
not obvious), then walk to the stairs and exit.
Stage 40/Disciple stage 21:
Slide down the ice, then walk up and push the flame all the way down.
Shove it onto the ice. Slide with the flame to the right. Push the
flame up three squares (level with the middle ice square of the three
to your left). Walk around the flame and create a medium or large
bubble on the first square of water (level with the flame tile, below
the collapsing tiles). Walk back around and push the flame up, level
with the bubble. When the bubble pops, walk across the collapsing
tiles, down the ice, lower the barricade and walk to the exit.
Stage 41/Disciple stage 22:
Ready to run? Stand on the flame tile, create a large bubble to your
left and shove it. Quickly (well, as quick as you can move), run up,
left, and down. When you are level with the barricades/flame, create a
small bubble to your right (on the water) and shove it. Create a new
bubble and manually pop it. Run the rest of the way around the water
and when the barricades are down, push the flame to the right onto the
flame tile. Then, push the flame up one square (yes, push it off the
flame tile, you'll need the room to maneuver). Walk down around the
spikes. Walk up until you are level with the middle square of water of
the three to your left. Create a large bubble to your left (on the
water) and shove it. Quickly walk down a square, create a small bubble
to your left and shove it. Quickly run back to the flame tile. Create a
small bubble in front of the right-most barricade. Run up, push the
flame down, onto the flame tile. By this time, the right-most and
lower barricades ought to be down, so run across them. Stand on the
lower barricade, create a bubble below you and push it down. Take the
stairs.
Stage 42/Disciple stage 23:
This stage introduces a new enemy. It looks like an onion or frog
(depending on the view) in the SNES version and a ghost popping out of
a crater in the GBC version. Regardless of what it looks like, this
enemy will fire a projectile when you cross in front of it. This
projectile can destroy the flame. The enemy will turn towards your
general direction, even if you aren't in directly in front of it, one
square on either side of directly in front of it, in fact. Once it gets
locked onto a direction, it will stayed locked into that direction
until you exit its "sphere of influence" and get it locked onto you in
a different direction. That may sound complicated, but it's a little
more obvious as you play. Just follow my directions and you'll be fine.
That said, walk left and down to the flame. Pass by the flame and walk
to the right. Create a medium or large bubble three squares below the
flame tile (bottom-most square). Go back and push the flame down one
square, then right four (directly above the bubble). When the bubble
pops, push the flame onto the flame tile. Walk around to the stairs.
Walk to the right of the solitary pillar, and the crater/onion will be
locked to the left (this is more apparent on the SNES version). You can
walk right next to the enemy without it hurting you. Exit.
Stage 43/Disciple stage 24:
Walk across the collapsing tiles. Walk to the direct left of the
solitary pillar (kitty-corner to the flame). Create a bubble above you.
When it pops, create a medium or large bubble above you. Take one step
to the left and create a small bubble above you. Create a medium or
large bubble to the very right of the left-most enemy, then walk to the
right, below the solitary pillar (don't hesitate and the enemy won't
hit you). Walk up, above the flame and shove it down. Create a bubble
below you, then walk down and push the flame onto the flame tile. Walk
back under the solitary pillar to the stairs and exit.
Stage 44/Disciple stage 25:
Create a small bubble to your right (remember, the bubble grows on
lava) and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it. Run up,
right, then all the way up (the enemy will pop the bubble, but if you
don't stop, you'll make it no problem). Walk down, next to the enemies
in a row on the right side of the screen. Stand above the lava,
kitty-corner to the left-most enemy. Create a large bubble, shove it,
create another bubble and manually pop it. For the SNES version,
because there are three enemies, create a second large bubble and shove
it. Create a third (second for those playing the GBC version) bubble.
With a bubble in front of each enemy, run up and push the flame to the
left onto the lava. Shove it left, then push it all the way down, onto
the flame tile. Go back down to where we stood to block the enemies
before. Create a small bubble below you (on the lava, just to the left
of the left-most enemy in the row). Walk onto the first square of grass
and quickly create a bubble to your left. Quickly walk to the right
across the grass, then down to the stairs. Don't dawdle and you'll be
fine.
Stage 45/Disciple stage 26:
Walk down along the left side of the screen. Push the left-most block
down one square. Walk back around the left side of the screen (don't
walk across the collapsing tile) and down the right side. Push the
right-most block down one square. Push the middle block to the left one
square. Push the right-most block up two squares. Cross the collapsing
tile and push the right-most block all the way to the right. Go back up
to the flame and shove it down. Create a bubble below you and let it
pop. Create a new bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new
bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. When the
first bubble pops, create a small or medium bubble and shove it. Create
a new bubble and manually pop it. Create a large bubble and shove it.
Once the flame is moved, create a small bubble, shove it, create a new
bubble and manually pop it. Create a large bubble and shove it. Create
another large bubble, shove it (once the first large bubble pops),
create a new bubble and manually pop it. Walk down the left side of the
screen. Stand to the direct left of the flame and create a bubble above
you. Take a step to the left, create a bubble above you and manually
pop it. When the first bubble pops, walk back to the right. Create a
bubble to your right (directly above the flame). Walk all the way
around the lava, down the right side of the screen. Create a bubble
directly above the stairs. Quickly push the flame down. When the bubble
pops, push the flame down onto the flame tile. Take the stairs and
exit.
Stage 46/Disciple stage 27:
Push the flame to the right, then shove it. Create a bubble and let it
pop. Create a new bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new
bubble and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it. When
the first bubble pops, push the flame one square to the right. Push the
flame up until it's level with the lava in between the pillar and the
spike to your left. Push the flame to the left, then shove it. Create a
bubble and let it pop. Create another bubble and shove it. When it
pops, create a new bubble, then shove it. Create another bubble and
manually pop it. Walk to the left to the lava directly above the flame.
Create a bubble and let it pop. Walk to the left and down until May is
level with the flame (kitty-corner to a spike). Create a bubble, shove
it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Walk around to the
collapsing tiles. Walk across the first two, stopping on the third
(kitty-corner with the flame). Create a bubble above you and let it
pop. Create a small or medium bubble above you and shove it. Quickly
take a step to the right, create a small bubble above you and shove it.
Before the second bubble pops, run down to the stairs and wait for the
bubbles to push the flame onto the flame tile.
Stage 47/Disciple stage 28:
This stage introduces a new green (SNES)/yellow (GBC) enemy. He'll walk
up and down in the same path, only stopping when you cross its path.
Then it'll fire a projectile at you. The projectile can destroy the
flame, but the enemy won't see you through a bubble. Push the flame all
the way down onto the flame tile, then walk back up. Stop two squares
from the top. Wait until the enemy is on his way down. Quickly walk to
the right, then down, making sure to create a bubble in front of you to
block the enemy. Push the bubble and the enemy all the way down. Pump
the bubble up to large, then quickly run up to the grass. Follow the
grass around to the stairs. Provided you don't stop, you shouldn't have
any trouble getting to the stairs before the bubble pops.
Stage 48/Disciple stage 29:
There's a slight difference between the two versions of this level.
First, the enemies are more aggressive in the SNES version; although in
both versions, the enemies won't fire their projectile at you if you
are standing right below them. The width of the two paths of the
enemies is the same in the SNES version, while the lower enemy has a
slightly wider path in the GBC version. Also, on the SNES version
there's an extra row of grass below the lowest solitary pillar that
makes the level a bit easier. Regardless, start off by waiting for the
enemies to be going to the left, especially the lower one (since the
paths are the same lengths in the SNES version, the enemies will stay
in sync. Go quickly when the upper enemy is to the right. Once you get
the upper one to pause, the enemies will be out of sync). When the way
is clear, walk right one step and down. Create a bubble below you
blocking the lower enemy. Duck back between the pillars if need-be. In
the SNES version, the upper enemy will usually destroy the bubble, so
you'll have to make another. Once you got the lower enemy blocked,
quickly walk up two steps, create a bubble above you and trap the upper
enemy to the left. Pump up the lower bubble if need-be, then push the
flame down. Push it all the way down in the SNES version. For the GBC
version, push the heart to two squares from the bottom (the first
square of grass). In the SNES version, push the flame to the left until
May is directly under a solitary pillar. Shove the flame to the left.
Create a bubble and let it pop. Create another bubble and shove it.
When the enemies are both going to the right, head left and up. Create
a bubble above you to block a projectile if need-be. Once the path is
clear, run to the stairs and exit. Those of you on the GBC version will
have to do a little more maneuvering. Once you've pushed the heart
down, push it left until May is in between the lowest two solitary
pillars. Shove the heart to the left. Wait for the bubbles to pop so
that the enemies have the maximum amount of room to run. When both
enemies are moving right, run out and push the heart down one square.
Run back in between the pillars. Wait for the coast to be clear, then
push the heart onto the heart tile. Wait next to the heart, under the
pillars until the enemies are moving right. Quickly run back to between
the solitary pillars. When the enemies are moving right, take one step
right, one up, and create a bubble above you. Quickly run to the left
to the stairs and exit.
Stage 49/Disciple stage 30:
Another slight difference between the two versions: the SNES version
has a collapsing tile two squares from the flame at the beginning,
rather than a rune tile, like in the GBC version. Not that big of a
deal. You'll note there are only three normal tiles on this stage. The
two on the right side of the screen will be used quite frequently. I
will refer to the lower one, the one two squares above the stairs, as
the lower tile. The tile kitty-corner to it will be referred to as the
upper tile. Start off by pushing the flame down one square. Walk up and
around to the right to the lower tile. Create a large bubble to your
left and shove it. Walk to the upper tile and create a large bubble to
your left. When the first bubble pops, push the second bubble to the
left. Not all the way, just until the bubble is directly under the
flame (just to the right of the lava). When the bubble shrinks to
small, shove it onto the lava. Quickly walk back to the right, up and
around and push the flame down. Walk back up and around to the lower
tile. Create a large bubble to your left and shove it. Walk onto the
upper tile and create a large bubble to your left. Stay on the upper
tile. When the second bubble shrinks to small, create a bubble to your
left and manually pop it. Run back up and around and push the flame to
the right until it is directly below the bubble. Walk to the upper tile
and shove the flame to the left. Walk to the rune tile directly above
the flame and shove it down. Walk back to the upper tile, create a
bubble to your left and shove it. When it pops, walk to the lower tile.
Create a bubble to your left, shove it, create another bubble and
manually pop it. Wait for the first bubble to pop. When it does, create
a small bubble to your left, shove it, create another bubble and
manually pop it. Create a large bubble, then shove it. Quickly walk to
the upper tile, create a large bubble to your left and shove it. Create
another bubble and manually pop it. If done right, you'll have a large
bubble on the solitary normal tile. Stay on the upper tile and create a
medium bubble to your left, shove it, create another bubble and
manually pop it. Walk up to the rune tile directly above the newest
bubble. Shove the bubble down. The first bubble will then move the
flame onto the flame tile. Walk back to the stairs and exit.
Stage 50/Master stage 1:
This stage introduces a new green (SNES)/blue (GBC) enemy. This enemy
will stay put until something (May or a bubble) is in front of it. It
will then make a beeline towards that object. So, turn to the right and
create a large bubble (under the pillar on the corner). Walk to the
left a couple of steps, turn around, and create a medium (make sure the
first bubble is still large) bubble just to the left of the first
bubble. Run to the left and follow the path around. The bubbles will
pop and the enemy will home in on them. Hurry across the top of the
screen, then push the flame down onto the flame tile (be careful not to
push it too far), walk up and take the stairs.
Stage 51/Master stage 2:
Walk one step up and create a medium bubble in front of the barricade.
Walk all the way down to the lower pit (kitty-corner with the
teleport). Create a large bubble to your right and shove it. Quickly
follow the left path up to the top of the screen. When the snake is
moving left, walk up behind it and create a bubble to your left (to
block the snake). Walk to the left until you are directly above the
flame. Quickly push the flame all the way down onto the pit. When the
bubble pops, it will move the flame to the left one square. Then, push
the flame down onto the pit and shove it when the snake is to the left.
Walk up, create a bubble in front of the barricade and pop it. Wait
just below the snake's path until it is moving right. Don't take the
teleport until the lower snake is moving left (you'll need to pause
and scan down on the GBC version). When everything's clear, hop on the
teleport and immediately move all the way right. Once the snake is
clear, push the flame up onto the flame tile and take the stairs.
Stage 52/Master stage 3:
Walk up and take the teleport. Walk to the left, then down to the
flame. This isn't necessary, but it makes things easier: when the snake
is to the right of the collapsing tile, walk onto it then off (but not
the right) to create a pit to trap the snake. Push the flame two
squares to the left (not to the path, but under two pillars). To the
left and below the two isolated pillars (first square to the left after
the short path up), create a medium bubble. Quickly run back to the
flame, push it one square left then all the way up. Walk to the left
and around the isolated pillars and create a bubble in the alcove
kitty-corner to the flame. Run back around and push the flame right one
square. Walk back around the pillars and create a bubble in the other
alcove, now kitty-corner with the flame. Quickly run around the pillars
and push the flame up. When the bubble pops, push the flame all the way
left, then up three squares (level with the upper row of pits, kitty-
corner with the row of three pillars). Push the flame to the right,
then shove it. Create a bubble and let it pop. Create another bubble
and shove it. When it pops, walk around the three pillars until you are
under the solitary pillar at the top of the screen (you'll be kitty
corner with the flame). Create a large bubble below you and shove it.
Quickly walk back around the pillars until you are back where we were
just moving the flame. Create a small bubble, shove it, create another
bubble and manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, push the flame
all the way to the right, then down onto the pit. Take the teleport,
then walk down onto the stairs. Create a large bubble below you, then
quickly walk back and take the teleport. Shove the flame down, then
create a bubble and manually pop it. Take the teleport again and push
the flame all the way down (onto the stairs). Take a step to the left
or right (don't go up) before the bubble pops. When it does, push the
flame up one square, onto the flame tile, then walk down and exit.
Stage 53/Master stage 4:
Take the lower teleport. Walk to the right, create a large bubble on
the pit and shove it. Quickly take the teleport and push the flame
down. Shove the flame down when the enemy is to the right. The enemy
will push the flame the rest of the way to the left where it'll be
moved by the bubble. Create a large bubble below you on the pit and
shove it down when the enemy is again to the right. When the bubble
pops, moving the flame up, take the lower teleport again. Create
another large bubble on the pit and shove it right. Quickly take the
teleport, create a bubble below you on the pit and shove it down when
the enemy is to the right. Hopefully, the enemy will push the second
bubble over to the left before the first bubble pops. When the second
bubble pops, take the upper teleport. Push the flame all the way up
onto the pit. When the enemy is to the left, shove the flame up. Walk
to the stairs and wait for the enemy to move the flame to the right
onto the flame tile.
Stage 54/Master stage 5:
Two slight differences actually make the GBC version easier than the
SNES version. One, the SNES version has a rune tile below the fire,
rather than a normal tile and two, there are two snakes in the upper
left corner, rather than one. The lack of the rune tile is significant
because time is less of an issue for those playing the GBC version.
Regardless, take the teleport, walk all the way to the right and create
a medium or large bubble above you (just to the left of the barricade).
Quickly take the teleport and push the flame down two squares (in
between the barricade and teleport). Take the teleport, then take it
again (so that you are now standing on the right hand teleport). When
the barricade lowers, push the flame two squares to the right (onto the
pit) and shove it (onto the rune tile). Take the teleport again, push
the flame up, then shove it up. Lower the barricade again, if
necessary, then take the teleport. Stand on the barricade and create a
medium or large bubble to your left and shove it. Take the teleport and
push the bubble up. Walk all the way to the left to the normal tile.
Create a large bubble in front of you, shove it, create another bubble
and manually pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. Walk across
the collapsing tile to the square just below the fire. Those on the GBC
version can put out the fire now. Those on the SNES version should wait
until the last possible second (for the bubble to pop and move the
flame onto the fire) because time is much more of an issue. For those
on the GBC version, when the heart is on the doused fire, shove it up
(onto the teleport). Create a bubble and let it pop. Create another
bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new bubble, shove it,
create another bubble and manually pop it. Continue to put out the fire
as needed. Create a medium bubble, shove it, create another bubble and
manually pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. When the first
bubble pops, create a large bubble, shove it, create another bubble,
and manually pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. Create another
small bubble, shove it (when the first small bubble pops), create
another bubble and manually pop it. Those on the SNES version have to
do basically the same thing, but while standing on the fire. When
possible, especially the first couple of moves, don't wait for the
existing bubbles to pop before creating the new ones. Once you get the
final sequence (up to the medium bubble above since we have to move the
flame one fewer square) of bubbles in place, take the teleport and let
the bubbles do their thing. This is one of the most difficult points in
the game, not because of strategy, but because of speed and accuracy.
Once you get the flame up to just under the collapsing tile, the rest
is easy. First, use bubbles to block off the snakes (or snake for the
GBC folks). Use large bubbles and continue to pump them back up as you
move the flame to the right. Use the same sequence above to move the
flame onto the right onto the flame tile. Time isn't an issue this
time, so stop to re-block the snakes as needed. Once the flame is on
the flame tile, stand on the arrow and wait for the up/down snake to be
above you then hurry down to the stairs. Those on the SNES version
deserve a pat on the back for that one. Those on the GBC version don't
get one because their level was much easier:)
Stage 55/Master stage 6:
Walk down across the collapsing tiles. Go down until May is level with
the row of pillars, two squares up from the bottom row of pillars,
kitty-corner with the arrow. Create a bubble below you to lure out the
enemy. Follow him to the right across the collapsing tiles. Create a
bubble to your right, just in case. Go up as soon as you can and push
the block to the right, out of the way. Watch the snake and take the
teleport. Walk right and put out the fire. Watch the left/right snake:
when it's moving left, take the upper teleport. Create a bubble to your
left and walk all the way to the left. Walk up across the collapsing
tiles and push the flame all the way to the right. In doing so, you'll
take the teleport. Step off the teleport, then take the lower teleport.
Walk up across the collapsing tiles and push the flame onto the flame
tile. Take the teleport. Step off the teleport, then back onto the
lower teleport. Walk to the stairs and exit.
Stage 56/Master stage 7:
Walk up (take the middle teleport). Push the flame down one square
(onto the teleport), then shove it down. Walk to the left and down
across the arrows. Walk through the break in the pillars to the left.
Walk around the pillars to the block. Push the block down 5 squares
(two squares above the stairs, May will be level with the collapsing
tile). Walk across the collapsing tile, around the block. Push the
other block (the one directly to the right of the arrow) all the way to
the left. Walk up, taking the teleport. Walk right taking the teleport.
Walk across the arrows like before to get to the block. Push the block
down one square and left two (onto the arrow). Walk up and take the
teleport. Walk down one square, then push the flame all the way to the
right (onto the arrow). Shove the flame, then create a bubble and let
it pop. Walk up (take the left-most teleport). Walk down and around the
pillars, across the collapsing tile, and push the flame up 5 squares
(first pit square, two squares from the top of the screen). Walk down
one square and left one. Create a bubble above you and shove it. When
it pops, walk right one square, then up one, and create a bubble above
you. When it pops, walk right one square and up one, then push the
flame to the right onto the pit. Walk up and around the pit. Push the
flame two squares to the right, onto the teleport. Create a bubble
above you, then quickly walk to the left one square, create a bubble
above you and manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, create a new
bubble on the teleport and let it pop. Push the flame down until it is
on the stairs. Walk to the right one square and create a bubble below
you. When it pops, walk onto the stairs and exit.
Stage 57/Master stage 8:
Walk to the left two steps and pop a bubble above the barricade. Wait
for the enemy to be to the left of the flame, then step onto the
teleport. Step up and to the right (so you have room to dodge) to keep
the enemy from firing a projectile at the flame. When the enemy is
elsewhere, shove the flame up. Create a bubble above you (directly
under the flame) and let it pop. Create another bubble above you and
shove it. When it pops, create another bubble, shove it, create another
bubble and manually pop it. Remember to dodge the enemy as needed.
Create a medium or large bubble above you and shove it. When the enemy
is to the left of the bubble, create a new bubble and manually pop it.
With the enemy trapped, walk across the right collapsing tile. Push the
flame to the left one square, then shove it. Create a bubble and let it
pop. Wait for the enemy to be to the right, then walk up and around the
pillars. Make sure not to put the flame between you and the enemy.
Create a small bubble in front of the barricade, then walk back up and
around the pillars to the flame. Watch the enemy, then push the flame
to the left four squares (directly above the barricade). Quickly create
a small bubble above you. Quickly take a step to the right, create a
bubble above you and manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, push
the flame down onto the teleport. Create a bubble to your left, quickly
walk up a step, create another bubble and manually pop it. When the
first bubble pops, create a bubble on the teleport and let it pop. When
the enemy is out of the way, step onto the teleport, step off of it,
then quickly step back onto it. Push the flame one square to the right
(onto the collapsing tile), then shove it onto the stairs. Create a
small bubble below you. Quickly walk onto the collapsing tile and
create a bubble below you. When the bubbles pop, walk onto the stairs
and exit.
Stage 58/Master stage 9:
The SNES version has most of the screen darkened for the next few
levels, with only a small area around May lit up. This doesn't seem to
be all that effective as the darkness doesn't really block out
anything. This "feature" isn't present in the GBC version. Walk to the
left and create a medium or large bubble in the small alcove. Quickly
walk up and across the collapsing tiles. Stop on the last one. Create a
bubble in front of the barricade and manually pop it. Push the flame
all the way down. When the bubble pops, push the flame all the way to
the right. Walk down onto the stairs, create a bubble above you and
shove it. Walk back up to the rune tiles. Push the flame all the way
up, then shove it. Walk back down to the stairs. Create a large bubble
and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it. Create a small
bubble and shove it. When the small bubble pops, push the first bubble
all the way up. Walk to the stairs and exit.
Stage 59/Master stage 10:
The bog tiles in the upper left corner of the SNES version just mean
you'll have to react a little quicker. Push the flame up one square
(onto the pit). Shove it to the left, then push it down onto the flame
tile. Walk across the collapsing tile. Walk up until the enemy sees you
and gives chase. In the SNES version, this usually means pulling level
with him. Do so, but on the left side of the screen, with a bog tile in
between you and the enemy. Once the enemy sees you, run all the way
down to the bottom of the level where there's some maneuvering room.
Wait for the enemy to follow you down there. The enemy doesn't react as
quickly as May, so get him behind you with the path up clear. Once
that's the case, quickly head for the stairs and exit.
Stage 60/Master stage 11:
Walk to the right-most barricade, create a medium or large bubble in
front of it, then quickly walk around to in front of the other
barricade (just to the left of the flame) and wait there for the bubble
to pop. When it does, quickly shove the flame to the right, then walk
up and around and push the flame down. Not all the way, but until it is
to the direct right of the solitary bush/bubble/whatever you'd like to
call it. Walk to the left around the bush to the small alcove in the
lower right corner. Create a large bubble in it, then quickly walk up
and create a large bubble in the alcove on the right side of the level.
Quickly walk back to the flame. Push it down, then all the way to the
right. When the first bubble pops, push the flame up until it is to the
direct left of the second bubble. When the second bubble pops, shove
the flame up. Create a bubble below it and let it pop. Create another
bubble below the flame and let it pop (the flame should now be right
next to the flame tile). Stand directly under the flame tile. Create a
medium or large bubble to your left and shove it. Quickly walk down a
step, create a small bubble to your left and shove it. Walk across the
collapsing tile onto the stairs and wait for the bubbles to push the
flame onto the flame tile.
Stage 61/Master stage 12:
Take one step to the right, create a medium or large bubble below you
and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it. Quickly walk
to the left two steps, create a small bubble below you and shove it.
When the bubbles pop, shove the flame to the right. Create a bubble
(just to the left of the flame) and let it pop. Create another bubble
and shove it. When it pops, create a new bubble, shove it, create
another bubble and manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, push
the flame to the right, then shove it. Create a bubble and let it pop.
Walk up, right and shove the flame down. Walk right, down, create a
bubble directly above the flame and let it pop. Walk down a step and
create a new bubble just above the flame and let it pop. Repeat until
the flame is on the last pit square (three squares up from right in
front of the barricade). Create a small bubble in front of the
barricade. Walk back up to the flame, create a bubble directly above
it, and manually pop it. Repeat. Push the flame down one square, then
all the way left. Walk down a step, create a bubble to your left
(directly below the flame) and let it pop. Push the flame up one
square, then left one. Walk down a step, create a bubble directly below
the flame and let it pop. Walk up a step, create a bubble directly
below the flame and let it pop. Create a small bubble to your left and
shove it. Quickly walk up a step, create a bubble to your left and
shove it. Quickly walk to the stairs and wait for the bubbles to pop
and move the flame onto the flame tile.
Stage 62/Master stage 13:
Walk right and up and create a bubble on the pit just to the right of
the flame. When the bubble pops, push the flame all the way to the
left. Shove the flame down. Walk down and around and push the block
(the one right next to the flame) up. The enemy on the SNES version is
typically moving left/right at this point, so wait for it to be going
left, then shove the flame left. Quickly walk down and left (onto the
upper collapsing tile) and create a bubble above you (just to the right
of the flame) and manually pop it. Walk left and up so that you are to
the right of the flame. The enemy on the GBC version is typically
moving up/down so you don't have to wait for anything. Moving the heart
will usually draw the enemy into a left/right path. Push the flame two
squares to the left (onto the collapsing tile). Shove the flame to the
left and quickly create a bubble to the left of it. This may take a
little doing, depending on the co-operation of the enemy. Once you are
able to create a bubble on the collapsing tile, create another bubble
below you. Quickly manually pop the bubble to your left and walk onto
the collapsing tile. Create a bubble below you. Wait for the second
bubble to pop (moving the flame) before you move off of the collapsing
tile. Walk up until you are directly above the flame. This will cause
the enemy to move the flame up. Move up, then right, to allow the enemy
to push the flame onto the flame tile. Move all the way right, onto the
lower bog tile (well, just to the right of the bog tile for the GBC
version). Let the enemy come after you. For the GBC version, move up
when the enemy is on the bog tile. As the enemy moves right, hurry to
the left, then down and across the collapsing tiles to the stairs. For
those on the SNES version, wait on the lower bog tile until the enemy
is two squares away. As the enemy moves right, move up. As the enemy
moves onto the lower bog tile, step off the upper tile. Hurry to the
left, then down across the collapsing tiles to the stairs.
Stage 63/Master stage 14:
Push the flame all the way up. Walk left to the four arrows in the
upper left corner of the level. Walk onto one of the down arrows, then
walk across the arrows until you are on the right facing arrow. Create
a large bubble above you (in the alcove) then quickly run back to the
flame. Walk across (up) the left facing arrow, create a bubble above
you and manually pop it. Quickly push the flame all the way to the
left. When the first bubble pops, create a bubble on the right facing
arrow and let it pop. Walk onto the down arrow, then the up one, and
push the flame down one square. Go up a couple of steps to get turned
around, then create a medium or large bubble below you and shove it.
Walk down over the down arrows and run into the alcove kitty-corner
with the flame. When the bubble pops, push the flame all the way to the
right. Push the flame up one square, then all the way right. Push the
flame down two squares, then shove it. Walk back to the four arrows in
the upper left corner, then walk all the way right and down to the
right facing arrow next to the flame. Create a bubble on the arrow and
let it pop. Create another bubble and shove it. Walk back to the four
arrows and walk down across a down arrow. Walk to the flame and shove
it down. Create a bubble on the arrow and let it pop. Walk up and right
around the three trees, down the down arrow. Push the flame to the left
until it is on the right facing arrow (just above the flame tile). Push
the flame down onto the flame tile, walk to the stairs and exit.
Stage 64/Master stage 15:
Walk up, then left and push the flame right one square. Push the flame
down until it is just right of the lowest solitary tree (level with the
flame tile). Create a bubble above the barricade and let it pop (yes,
this will push the flame up, but that's okay). Quickly walk down and
create a large bubble on the grassy alcove. Quickly walk up and push
the flame down four squares just right of the bubble, just above the
water). When the bubble pops, push the flame to the right two squares
(under the flame tile). Walk around the flame to the barricade. Create
a small bubble below the barricade. Create a medium or large bubble
below you. Walk to the left one square, create a bubble below you and
manually pop it. Quickly walk back to the flame and push it all the way
to the right. When the bubbles pop, push the flame all the way up (onto
the water). Shove the flame to the left. Create a small bubble in front
of the barricades. Walk under the flame. When the bubble pops, push the
flame up two squares, then push it all the way left. When the enemy is
out of the way, shove the flame left. On the GBC version, the enemy
will push the heart all the way onto the heart tile. Those on the SNES
version will have to shove a bubble over to move the flame onto the
flame tile. Pop a bubble in front of the barricades, walk to the
stairs, and exit.
Stage 65/Master stage 16:
There are a couple of key differences between the two versions of this
level. There are three blocks to manipulate in the SNES version and
five snakes to contend with. However, the area by the flame tile
doesn't have the collapsing tiles that those on the GBC version have to
contend with. The strategies start off the same, however. Push the
lowest block all the way down, then four squares right. Push it up one
square, and then left one. Push it up one square when the snake is to
the left (in the alcove). Go back to the other block(s). Push the
middle (SNES)/upper (GBC) block all the way down, then right four
squares. Push it up four squares (just below the path of the snake(s)).
For those on the GBC version, wait until the snake is to the right and
push the block up one square. Push it to the right one square to block
the snake in the alcove. Go back to the heart and push it all the way
down. Push it four squares to the right, then push it up until it is
on the first collapsing tile. Shove it up, then create a bubble and
let it pop. Walk to the right one square, then walk all the way up.
Push the heart to the left onto the heart tile, walk down, and take the
stairs. For those playing the SNES version, push the block to the right
one square. Wait until one of the snakes is to the right, in the
alcove, then push the block up one square. Go back to the third block.
Push it all the way down, then four squares to the right. Push it up
five squares (into the path of the snakes). Walk to the left one square
and create a bubble above you (you'll need to go down a square to get
turned around). Push the third block up two squares, then right one.
Wait until a snake is to the right and push the block up. Go back to
the flame and push it all the down, then right four squares. Push it up
five squares. Like before, create a bubble above you trapping the snake
in the left alcove. Push the flame up two squares, then left one. Push
the flame up one square, then shove it. When the snake is to the left,
create a bubble above you, trapping it. Walk up and push the flame left
onto the flame tile, then walk to the stairs (watch the snakes) and
exit.
Stage 66/Master stage 17:
Walk down to the lower left barricade and pop a bubble in front of it.
Quickly walk down, then all the way to the right. Create a bubble above
you and shove it. Walk back across the lowered barricade. Wait for it
to pop back up, then lower it again. Quickly walk to the right and
create a bubble in front of the barricade. Quickly walk back to the
upper right barricade (kitty-corner with the flame). Pop a bubble in
front of it. Shove the flame down, then create a bubble below you and
manually pop it. Quickly walk back down and push the flame all the way
to the right (across the barricade, onto the water). Walk up a step,
create a bubble to the right (just above the flame)and let it pop. Walk
down a step, create a bubble just above the flame and let it pop.
Repeat one more time. Push the flame down onto the flame tile. Walk up
to the stairs and exit.
Stage 67/Master stage 18:
Walk to the barricade and pop a bubble in front of it. Walk across it,
then turn around and create a large bubble just below it. Quickly walk
up to the next barricade and pop a bubble in front of it. Walk across it, then
quickly walk to the third barricade. Pop a bubble in front of
it, then quickly walk up to the flame. Push the flame down three
squares (just below the third barricade). Hurry across the arrow back
down to the first barricade. Create another large bubble in front of
it. Walk back to the second barricade, lower it, then hurry to the
flame. Push it all the way to the right, then all the way up. Push it
three squares to the right, then hurry down to the first barricade.
Create a medium or large bubble in front of it. Go back to the flame
and push it all the way down (watch the spike). Push it all the way to
the left and wait for the barricade to lower. Once it does, push the
flame all the way down then right, onto the flame tile (be careful not
to push it too far). Take the stairs and exit.
Stage 68/Master stage 19:
Walk up a step, create a bubble above you and let it pop. Walk down a
step, then right one, create a bubble above you and shove it. When it
pops, push the flame to the right one square (onto the first rune
tile). Create a bubble above you, then walk to the left one square,
create a bubble above you and manually pop it. When the first bubble
pops, push the flame down one square. Walk left and down until you are
level with the flame (with a square of water in between). Create a
bubble to your right and let it pop. Create another bubble, shove it,
and let it pop. Walk to the flame, push it down, then shove it. Walk
back to where we were just creating bubbles. Create a medium or large
bubble to your right, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop
it. Create a small bubble, shove it and quickly walk up, right and down
until you two squares above the flame. When the small bubble pops, push
the first bubble down. Walk back to the bubble creating place. Create a
large bubble and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it.
Create a small bubble and shove it. Quickly walk back to the spot to
the right of the solitary tree. When the small bubble pops, push the
first bubble down and shove it. Walk down to the collapsing tiles. Walk
across the first one, onto the second one, then turn around. Create a
large bubble, then walk across the last two collapsing tiles. Quickly
walk left, then up until you are level with the flame (again, with a
square of water in between). Create a bubble to your right and manually
pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. When the first bubble pops,
walk to the remaining collapsing tiles. Get turned around so that you
are facing up, but don't walk onto the collapsing tiles. Create a
bubble above you, shove it, then quickly walk to the left one square.
Create a bubble above you and shove it. Stay to the right of the flame.
When the bubbles pop, push the flame four squares to the left
(kitty-corner with two squares of water, two squares away from the
barricade). Walk around the flame and create a bubble in between the
barricade and the flame. Quickly walk back around the flame and stand
just to the right of it. When the bubble pops, push the flame to the
left onto the flame tile. Walk to the right, across the collapsing
tiles to the stairs and exit.
Stage 69/Master stage 20:
Push the flame up two squares (to the right of the solitary tree). Walk
down, left and up across the arrow. Walk up to the barricade and pop a
bubble below it. Walk up, across the barricade then turn around. Create
a large bubble just below the barricade. Walk to the right, around the
solitary tree (watch the snake) and push the flame up one square. Walk
back around the tree and push the flame all the way to the right.
Create a small bubble above you, then quickly walk to the left one
square, then up one. Shove the bubble to the right. When the bubble
pops, push the flame all the way down (again, watch the snake). walk
back up across the barricade (lower it, obviously, if necessary). Walk
left, down and right, then up across the arrow. Push the flame to the
left onto the flame tile. Walk up, lower the barricade, then walk left
and down (to just to the right of the square of water, two squares
above the stairs). Create a medium or large bubble to your left, shove
it, create another bubble and manually pop it. You might have to do it
a couple of times, depending on the co-operation of the snake. If you
have a medium bubble in front of the barricade, you'll be fine if you
don't dawdle. Quickly walk up, then left when able. Cross the
collapsing tile, and follow the path around. Stand on the lowered
barricade until the snake is to your right, then hurry down and to the
left. Cross the collapsing tile and exit.
Stage 70/Master stage 21:
There are three alcoves near the beginning: one, two squares to the
right of the flame, two, two squares above the flame tile, and three,
four squares to the right and one up from the flame tile. Quickly
create a large bubble in each, in the order listed above. Quickly walk
back to the flame, push it down a square, then all the right. When the
first bubble pops, push the flame down. When the second bubble pops,
push the flame all the way to the right. When the third bubble pops,
push the flame all the way up. Push it to the right one square. Now,
there are three more alcoves that we'll use: one, kitty-corner with the
flame, two, on the right side of the screen near the bottom, and three,
two squares to the right of the stairs. Again, create a large bubble in
each, in the order just listed. Hurry back up to the flame and push it
one square to the right. When the first bubble pops, push the flame all
the way down. When the second bubble pops, push the flame all the way
to the left. When the third bubble pops, push the flame down one
square. Walk to the left (onto the collapsing tile), then down. Walk
all the way to the left and create a medium or large bubble in the
alcove below you. Quickly walk back to the flame. Walk around the
flame, across the collapsing tiles, and push it to the left four
squares (just above the bubble). Push the flame all the way up. Create
a bubble to your left, then walk down a step, create a bubble to your
left and manually pop it. Walk to the stairs and wait for the bubbles
to move the flame onto the flame tile.
Stage 71/Master stage 22:
Walk up to the flame and shove it up. Walk to the flame and push it
right three squares (two squares below the flame tile). Go all the way
back to the beginning. Walk onto the left normal tile. Create a large
bubble above you and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop
it. Create a small bubble and shove it. Walk up to just to the right of
the first bubble. When the small bubble pops, push the first bubble all
the way up. Walk back to the left normal tile. Create a large bubble
above you, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Create
a small bubble and shove it. Walk up to the right of the first bubble.
When the small bubble pops, push the first bubble all the way up and
shove it. When the bubble pops, walk to the stairs and exit.
Stage 72/Master stage 23:
Create a bubble to your left, then slide to the left. Slide up, then go
up a step to get turned around. Create a bubble below you, then shove
it. Create a new bubble and manually pop it. Create another bubble and
slide down. Walk to the left and down to the right of the flame. Before
the second bubble pops, turn to the left. Stand there until the bubble
pops. When it does, shove the flame. Walk all the way down, create a
bubble to your left and slide to the left. Slide up. Shove the flame
onto the collapsing tile. Be wary of the snake for the next few steps.
Run out, do the step, then run back to the safe square below the path
of the snake. Walk onto the right-most collapsing tile (to the right of
the flame), then walk off of it (down, not left). Create a bubble to
the right of the flame and let it pop. Create a bubble on the
collapsing tile and let it pop. Create a small bubble on the water
square, and a larger bubble on the collapsing tile. When the bubbles
pop, create a large bubble on the collapsing tile. Create a small
bubble on the water square. When the small bubble pops, create a small
bubble on the collapsing tile. When the second small bubble pops, walk
onto the first ice tile (avoid using the collapsing tile) and turn
left. When the bubble to your left pops, create another bubble and
shove it. When it pops, create another bubble and slide left. Walk down
onto the choppy ice. When the snake's out of the way, walk down onto
the next patch of choppy ice. Walk down and create a bubble to your
left. Walk all the way to the left. Walk down the arrow, then left one
square, and wait for the bubble to pop. When the snake is to the right,
move up onto the next square of choppy ice. When the next snake is
clear, walk up and slide all the way up. Walk to the left one square
(onto the upper-most collapsing tile) and create a bubble above you and
let it pop. Slide to the right. Slide back to the left, then up. Slide
all the way to the right. Shove the flame. Create a bubble and let it
pop. Create a bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new bubble,
shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Slide left, then
when the snake is clear, slide down, then walk down onto the choppy
ice. Walk down onto the next patch of choppy ice. Walk to the right one
square. When the snake below you is to the left, walk down and hurry to
the right and walk up onto the collapsing tile. Walk up, stopping on
the choppy ice patches. When you get to the ice, slide to the right.
When the snake is to your left, walk down, and hurry to the right and
up to the stairs.
Stage 73/Master stage 24:
Walk to the right a square, then up one. Slide to the left, then shove
the flame. Slide up, and follow the path around. Walk to the left one
step to get turned around. Create a medium or large bubble on the first
square of ice (the upper one). Quickly walk down to the flame and push
it up. When the bubble pops, create a bubble above you and let it pop.
Walk back down and around and push the flame up onto the first ice
square. Shove the flame up, then create a bubble and let it pop.
Create another bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a medium or
large bubble and slide up. Walk to the right, then up. Push the bubble
to the left. Pump it up if needed. Walk back to the right, then down
one square, and left. Create a bubble (just below the first one) and
manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, slide up, then push the
flame to the right onto the first ice square. Shove it right. Of the
two water squares above and to your left, create a medium or large
bubble on the right square. Create a bubble on the left square and
manually pop it. Walk to the right and create a bubble on the right
water square and manually pop it. Push the first bubble to the right
and let it pop. Slide down and push the flame one square to the right.
Walk around the flame and create a bubble on the stairs. Hurry back to
the flame and push it all the way to the right. When the bubble pops,
push the flame onto the flame tile, then walk down to the stairs and
exit.
Stage 74/Master stage 25:
Create a large bubble in the alcove on the right side of the screen, in
between a spike and a water square. Quickly create a small bubble on
the water square kitty-corner with the flame. Push the flame down one
square. When the small bubble pops, quickly create a bubble on the
water square just above the flame, and manually pop it. Push the flame
down a square and wait for the first bubble to pop. When it does, push
the flame to the left onto the water, then shove it. Create a bubble
and let it pop. Create a bubble, shove it and let it pop. Create a new
bubble, shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. walk up
and around to the square to the right of the flame. Shove the flame to
the left. Walk up and around until you are above the flame (with a
square of water in between. Create a bubble below you and let it pop.
Create another bubble and shove it. When it pops, create a new bubble,
shove it, create another bubble and manually pop it. Walk left and down
until you are level with the flame (again, with a water square in
between). Create a bubble and let it pop. Create another bubble and
shove it. Walk down a step and slide to the right. When the bubble
pops, push the flame to the right onto the first ice square, then shove
it. Create a bubble and let it pop. Walk all the way to the left and
slide down. Slide right, then slide up. Walk up a step, create a bubble
on the water square just above the flame, and let it pop. Walk down and
slide down. Slide left, then slide up. Slide right then walk up. Walk
to the right three steps (under the middle pillar, where we were
before). Create a bubble to the right and shove it. Create another
bubble and manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, slide right.
Create a medium or large bubble on the same water square we used above.
Walk down a step and slide left. Get turned around, create a medium or
large bubble to your right and shove it. Create another bubble and
manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, slide to the right. Walk
up a step to get turned around. Create a bubble below you and slide
down. Quickly slide up, get turned around and create another bubble
below you. Slide down and wait there for the first bubble to pop. Once
it does, you can slide to the left. Slide up and get turned around.
Create a bubble below you and slide down take the stairs and exit.
Stage 75:
Another slight deviance in levels. Those on the GBC version will find
Master stage 26 below. Walk down and create a bubble on the arrow.
Quickly walk left and down to the alcove kitty-corner with the flame.
When the bubble pops, push the flame up three squares (kitty-corner
with a pillar). Push the flame to the left one square (onto the ice)
then shove it. Create a bubble and let it pop. Walk up a step, then
slide left. Walk down, slide down, then push the flame the rest of the
way down. Walk left and down, and push the flame one square to the
right (onto the ice). Shove the flame, then create a bubble and let it
pop. Walk up and slide up. Slide right and walk down to just to the
left of the up arrow (just above a water square). Create a bubble below
you and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop it. Create a
medium or large bubble and shove it. Create another bubble and manually
pop it. Create a small bubble and shove it. Walk up and around, back
down to where we were before with the two arrows. Slide to the right,
then slide down, then slide left. Shove the flame. Create a bubble and
let it pop. Slide back to the right, then up, then left across the
collapsing tiles. Cross the arrows, slide up, walk left, then slide
down to the stairs.
Stage 76/Master stage 26:
Walk to the ice and slide to the lower right corner. Create a bubble to
your left and slide to the left. Slide up. Walk to the right one step,
then up one. Create a medium or large bubble above you and shove it
(onto the stairs). Create another bubble and manually pop it. Walk to
the right one step and slide up. Slide to the left, then slide down.
Shove the flame down. Walk to the left one square, slide up, then slide
back down. Create a bubble below you and shove it. When it pops, walk
to the right one square, slide up, then slide back down. Create a
bubble below you and shove it. When the bubble pops, create another
bubble below you. Quickly walk to the right, then up to get turned
around, and create another bubble below you (just to the right of the
first one). When the bubbles pop, slide down, then walk right one
square. Shove the flame down. Create a bubble below you and let it pop.
Slide to the left, then slide up. Walk to the right one square, slide
up, then slide back down. Create a medium or large bubble below you and
slide down. Slide up (all the way, to the top of the screen), then
slide down. Create a new bubble below you and slide down. Slide to the
right. Shove the flame. Create a bubble and let it pop. Create another
bubble and shove it. Slide to the left, then slide down, then right.
Push the flame all the way up (just below the spike). Push the flame
onto the water to the right. Walk down a square and create a bubble to
your right. When it pops, walk up a step and create another bubble to
your right. When this bubble pops, create a new one to your right, then
quickly walk down a square, create another bubble to your right and
manually pop it. When the first bubble pops, walk onto the uppermost
ice square (just below the flame). Shove the flame up, then create a
bubble and let it pop. Push the flame to the left onto the flame tile.
Slide back down the ice. Again, when you get to the lower right corner,
remember to create a bubble to your left before you slide all the way
to the left. Slide up onto the stairs and exit.
Stage 77/Master stage 27:
Slide to the left, then walk up and get turned around. Create a large
bubble below you and shove it. Create another bubble and manually pop
it. Walk left and down until you are level with the barricades/flame.
Create a small bubble to your right and shove it. You may need to walk
up a step and create another small bubble above the first one to keep
the enemy from moving the first one. When all the bubbles pop and the
barricades are lowered, run back up, right and down, and push the flame
three squares to the left (onto the water). If the enemy gets between
the flame and the water, or comes after you, you might as well start
over. Once the flame is on the water, walk around to it. Create a
bubble right above the flame and let it pop. Repeat. When the enemy is
moving up, quickly shove the flame to the right, then create a bubble
and manually pop it. Slide to the right on the lower ice patch. Walk up
until you are level with the flame. Those on the GBC version have it a
bit easier as the enemy will push the heart an extra square, plus there
is one less spike near the ice. The enemy will push the flame to the
right, onto the water square on the SNES version, just past on the GBC
version. Regardless of the version, once the enemy pushes the flame all
the way to the right, slide back to the left. Walk up, then right two
squares. Wait there until the enemy sees you and starts moving up/down.
Walk back down until you are level with the flame. When the enemy is
moving up, create a large bubble to your left, shove it, create another
bubble and manually pop it. Quickly slide to the right and walk up
until you're level with the flame. The enemy will push the bubble to
the right. When the bubble pops, it'll move the flame to the right.
Those on the SNES will have to repeat the process. The flame should now
be on the middle of the three ice squares. Those on the GBC version can
now just simply push the heart up onto the heart tile. Those on the
SNES version will have to do a couple extra steps. Stand to the right
of the solitary spike (which is two squares below the flame) and create
a small bubble below you. Quickly walk up, get turned around and create
a medium or large bubble below you (just above the first one). Slide to
the left and wait for the first bubble to pop. When it does, slide to
the right. The bubble will stop you on the ice. You can now push the
flame onto the flame tile, then walk to the stairs and exit.
