~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2A. Dragon Warrior 1 Information
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The NES version of Dragon Warrior was my very first RPG ever. I still
remember that I received a copy for about $15, renewing a Nintendo Power
subscription. I haven't seen a magazine give out an entire game before
for a year's subscription, and I haven't since. That just shows how old
I am. ^^; The GBC version of Dragon Warrior 1 looks a lot different,
graphically, and some names've been changed. Stairs're in different or
new locations, and you can search vases and shelves for items. Plot and
strategy-wise, the game's just as good as it always was, and I heartily
recommend it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2B. Tantegal Castle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 120G, Herb, Key, Torch.

In the opening cinema, you'll see DracoLord attack Tantegal Castle,
before stealing a glowing sphere, and kidnapping Princess Lora. This's
bad tidings for the land of Alefgard! Afterwards, you will find yourself
before King Lars XVI, and hear the tale of Loto and the Light Orb. The
King will beseech you to save the day, and tell you to take the items
from the chests here. You'll find 120G, a Torch, and a Key! Talk to the
people here in the room, and you can learn about Lady Lora, the nearby
town of Tantegal, and how to use your new-found Key. Try it out on the
nearby door, and go down the stairs to the main floor of the Castle!

Walk around here, and chat with the guards by the stairs to get some
advice about saving your game. Head south, and go to the east of the
central fountain, to find a guard sniffling over Lady Lora. Search the
pot on the left for an Herb, and continue south to enter a room, and
chat with an old wizard. When the screen flashes like this, that means
your MPs have been refilled for free! Remember this for later, and try
the stairs here. Here you'll learn a bit more about Torches and the land
before the DracoLord came.

To the west of the fountain, speak to the people to learn of a ruined
village, and go north from there. You'll see a locked door you can't go
into just yet, and up a nearby staircase you'll get advice on building
your experience to be better in fights. There's nothing else you can do
for now, other than be frusterated by another locked door, so leave the
Castle grounds for now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2C. The Town of Tantegal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Warp Wing.

Make a beeline for the town to the east, Tantegal. You're very weak and
unarmed right now, so try to avoid fights. When you get to the town,
right to the south is the Inn. You can rest here, for a price, to
recover HP and MP. There's also a storage area here, to store items and
money in, though you may only store increments of 1000G at a time. The
dresser you can get to has a Warp Wing in it, and up the stairs you can
learn some good advice. The further you are from the castle, the harder
the fights'll be. Poisoned marshes are also bad for you, so watch your
step!

To the north of the Inn is the Weapons and Armor Shop. You can put that
gold to good use! The more expensive the item, the more effective that
equipment is. Shop wisely here, and remember that defense might be the
better option for this early stage of the game, so you can stay alive
long enough to get more Gold.

East of the Inn, you can pick up a groupie if you want, even though she
doesn't do anything. That is, unless you take her to the Inn for the
night! For some reason, you were up for a while last night... To the
south and east is the Item Shop, where you can pick up some useful
goodies. Try to get a D-Scale if you can afford it, every little bit of
defense helps! North of the Item Shop is a building, where you can learn
about purchasing Keys, somewhere, and meet a kind wizard who offers to
uncurse you if you're ever cursed. Head up the stairs here and you'll
learn about the city of Garinham, and a man will say that if you're
Loto's descendant, you should find the Loto Seal. Other than another
locked door north of this building, and some talk of Garin's harp,
you'll be all done in Tantegal. Now what?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2D. Loto's Cave
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

Spend your time beating the monsters around Tantegal, first of all.
Beating monsters will let your Levels go up, and each fight'll be easier
than the last ones were. Getting to Level 2 or 3's not so hard, and the
money will let you get better items in Tantegal as well. When you feel
you're ready, wander west of the Castle, until you see some water, then
head north. Go around any mountains in your way, and keep going north.
You should see a desert and cave to the west, that's your destination!
There are no enemies in here, but you'll learn important information, so
make sure you have a Torch or two, and head on in.

You'll be surrounded by darkness. This is why you have a Torch! Light
it, and you'll be able to see better. Follow the path south, moving
around the bend and heading to the east. Before you hit the wall to the
east, head south, and east again, going north when you can and taking
another turn to the east. You should see some torches on the wall, go
past them and south to find some stairs to the next floor!

Follow the path north, west and south, moving west and north again as
necessary. You'll reach a fork, one path going south, and the other to
the north, once you've gone to the west again. South's a dead-end, so
continue north, moving east when you reach the top. Head north, and at
this fork move to the west. Follow the path north, to the east and back
south, then move to the east. Here, you'll see flowers scattered about,
and a stone tablet with Loto's symbol on it. Read the tablet, and you'll
learn that you have to find the three items that Loto used to reach
DracoLord's island! Your quest revealed, make your way back outside of
Loto's Cave.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2E. The Town of Garinham
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

Back outside, make your way towards the west, moving north of the
mountains and reaching the ocean. Continue westward, you'll soon reach
Garinham, the town of folklore, as one inhabitant will say. The main
feature of this tiny town is the large building with the locked door.
Otherwise, you can hear word here that Princess Lora was taken far to
the east. Since we haven't heard of these three treasures we need, we
might as well try to track down and rescue Lora! Otherwise, there are
some improved weapons and armor here to purchase if you have the funds,
which is recommended.

Head back to Tantegal, when you're ready, resting up and saving the game
with the King while you're there. Leave the Castle and move to the
north, curving east around them. You can move north, crossing east over
the bridge and moving towards the south-east; or, you can move south,
between the mountains and head east over the desert, through the
poisonous swamp. Either way, you'll end up in the same place, which is
before a bridge leaving further to the east.

Cross over the bridge, noting the poisonous swamp and the cave that's
inside of it, and head to the north instead. Pass the mountains to the
east, and you'll see a village in the middle of the forest. You've
reached Kol!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2F. Village of Kol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Cloth Armor, PixyFlute, STRseed.

Kol's a quiet, quaint village, where you can hear more important
information. You learn about Rimuldar, which is to the south, and you
can pay to get a powder-puff massage. People familiar with anime may
know what a powder-puff massage involves, but I doubt I'm allowed to
describe this here. ^^; Above the spring in the town, you can get a
STRseed and some Cloth Armor. If you stand four steps under the
fountain, and search, you can find the PixyFlute as well! This won't be
handy until later, but you can carry it around until then. A girl named
Cleo is missing her husband, who went off insearch of Keys. There's
supposedly a Key Shop in Rimuldar, and lots of tough monsters there.

A wizard trapped in some poisonous swamps to the west of the spring will
tell you that you need Loto's Sword to harm the DracoLord, which's very
important to know. Rumors abound about a beautiful woman in a cave to
the south, and how a creature named Golem is afraid of flutes. Could it
be the PixyFlute we just found? ^^

When you're set, head west of Kol, moving south as you follow the
coastline. You'll see a gap between the mountains and water. Walk in
there, and head into the Shrine you'll see to the north and east.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2G. Rain Shrine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

When you enter, you'll see a wizard guarding a treasure chest. Talk to
him, and you'll learn this's one of the descendants of the men Loto gave
the three treasures to! This one is guarding the Rain Staff. However, he
won't hand it over until you track down and find the Shiny Harp! It's
said the Harp attracts monsters. Either way, we can't get what we need
until we find the Harp, but we know where one of the treasures is!

Leave the Rain Staff in its guardian's hands, and work on building up
your levels and buying better equipment. When you feel you're ready,
head towards and in the cave to the south, in the poison swamp.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2H. Tunnel Cave
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

This cave, a passage between two continents, holds a secret or two. For
now, though, it's very recommended that you don't try to explore those
secrets. Rather, just head straight south from the stairs, until you hit
a wall. If you don't want to use a torch, then move three spaces east,
then one south, then three spaces east again. Move south until you hit a
wall, then west until you hit another. Then just move one space north,
and go west, and you'll be up the stairs before you know it! You're on
the other continent now!

Trudge through a last bit of poisonous swamp, and continue southward.
When you see a pass through the mountains to the west, ignore them and
continue south. When you hit the next mountains, pass them towards the
east, continuing south until you can move to the northwest. You should
see a town sitting in the middle of a lake. This's Rimuldar!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2I. Town of Rimuldar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 123G, DEFseed, LifeAcorn, Warp Wing.

This town is just what you might expect of a town on an unfamiliar
continent; full of better weapons and armor, items to find, and strange
townspeople. ^^; Seriously! You'll find one lady who says she is
changing in her room. Check her bureau, and pocket the Warp Wing you
find there. Other townspeople will mention the Rain Shrine we've already
visited, as well as one man telling you that wearing a ring is proper
ettiquette. An oracle will tell you to go south, if you haven't and that
right here is where 'rain and sun come together.' We know about the
Rainstaff, so the next treasure must have to do with sun! You'll meet
Cleo's husband, who's been robbed of money. And, you'll find a wizard
who talks about how Loto used a rainbow to reach the DracoLord's castle
in past times. Rain and sun make rainbows, don't they?

Other than the Weapon and Armor Shop, and the merchant who runs the
buildingless Item Shop, there is another place of importance. From the
entrance, follow the water up and to the west, hugging it closely. If
you do it right, you'll reach the shop in the north-west of town, where
you'll find the Key Shop! You can get Keys for 16G each, as well as
getting 123G and a DEFseed from the jars here. So you might as well get
six Keys, since you'll be able to afford it easily from that jar. Head
back to the Inn with your keys, and use two of them to speak to the
wizard, and get a LifeAcorn from the chest here. You'll learn about the
Sun Stone being right in Tantegal Castle! Before we go back there,
though, we have something else nearby to see.

Head far to the south of Rimuldar and the continent, and you'll see a
bridge going across to an island. Cross over, and try to make your way
through the mountains to a small Shrine here, which the oracle in
Rimuldar calls the Sacred Shrine. The monsters might be tough if you
haven't picked up equipment in Rimuldar, so be careful! Once you get
there safely, go in and speak to the wizard. You'll be rudely thrown
out, unless you have Loto's Seal. You probably don't yet, so make your
way back to Tantegal Castle. Now that we have some Keys, we should go
back and check this Sun Stone lead out!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2J. Sun Stone
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 350G, AGLseed, Herb, Key, LifeAcorn, MysticNut, Sun Stone.

Return to Tantegal Castle, and save your game with the King. Walk to the
west of the fountain, and open the first unlocked door you come to.
Inside, a man will condemn you if you steal, but the King himself did
say he wanted you to save the kingdom. 350G, a Key, a MysticNut, and an
AGLseed're just minor treasures compared to the Light Orb, so help
yourself!

Continue north and east, and you'll come to the second locked door. Open
it, and step inside. Outside the door on the right, is another Key Shop!
His prices're 24G each though. A lady here will mention the poem about
rain and sun forming a rainbow, as well. Now, if you've played the NES
version of Dragon Warrior, you'll know what to do. If not, walk
alongside the edge of the Castle, to find a staircase by the water! Go
down, and talk to the wizard to get to the chest. It's really the Sun
Stone, one of the three treasures we need! You can also get an Herb and
a LifeAcorn from the bureaus here.

Go back inside the castle, and cross the weird tiles to the south. These
each inflict 7HP of damage per step, so careful! The man here will talk
about how to get into Garin's grave, in Garinham. Remember this, and
head back across the barrier, and go west and up the stairs. The priest
here will heal you completely if you talk to him, which will help after
those tiles! You'll all done with Tantegal Castle for now.

While we're nearby, let's go back to Tantegal, and open the locked doors
with our Keys. There's one at the Inn, where we hear again about fairies
putting Golem to sleep. The other locked door in the city has a
Repellent Shop, to buy monster-repellent for 12G a bottle. Not much
here, huh? Where to next?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2K. Mountain Cave
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 350G, 670G, Choker, Iron Shield, MysticNut, STRseed, Torch, War
      Ring.

From Tantegal Castle, go west, and north around the mountains, moving
west and south around the lake. Cross the bridge you'll see here, and
continue south to the mountains, heading east once you pass them. Be
careful not to walk through the poisonous swamp, and continue east to
reach a cave.

Once inside, use a Torch or Radiant spell, and head west. Go south, and
when the path splits, pick to go east. Head south and to the east,
following the path north and east to a four-way intersection. Continue
east, then south. When the path splits again, head to the west, to reach
an underground lake. Move to the northwest of it, and follow the path
there, to find a chest with 350G. Head to the south of the lake, and
take that path, moving west, north, and west again. At the split, go
north, then west and south. Head to the west, and open the big door with
a Key. You do have a Key, right? ^^ Head down the stairs in the next
room.

On the next floor, go east, and at the split go south. Continue south,
until you can go east, and do so! Then go north as far as possible. Now,
go to the west as far as you're able to, before going south and east
into a room with torches. Get the STRseed and the MysticNut here, then
go as far north as you can outside of the room. Head east a bit, and go
south into the carpeted room with the statues. Get the War Ring from the
chest here! Now, head as far east as you can before you run into a dead-
end, then go back and take the first path south. You'll be in another
torch room, with an Iron Shield here. Go back west to the nearest
intersection, then go south as far as you can. Head east until you can
go north. Go west to the second intersection, then go north into a room
with a chest. This chest's special, as it can have one of two items in
it. The most common is a Torch. The second is a Choker! This's the only
place to get a Choker, so chances are you'll want to get it. Simply fill
up your inventory, so that when you try to open the chest, you'll get
the Choker. If it's a Torch, choose not to discard anything, and repeat
until it is the Choker. The chest refills when you go, so if you've been
here before and have only gotten a Torch, there's still hope to nab a
Choker. Just don't put it on!

From the Torch/Choker Chest room, go west to the next intersection, and
pick up 670G! Go west, again, two intersections, then go south three
intersections, going east to get back to the stairs. You should be able
to find your way out of here, now, and back to Tantegal Castle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2L. Grave Robbing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 343G, 537G, 630G, Copper Sword, Key x 2, LifeAcorn, ShinyHarp,
      Torch.

Once you've rested, saved, and stocked up, head to the northwest of
Tantegal Castle to get to Garinham. Remember the big locked door, and
what the guard said in Tantegal Castle? Let's check this out. Right
inside, you'll hear more about Garin's harp, which was supposed to
summon monsters. Is this the Shiny Harp we need to get, for the
Rainstaff? We're on the right track! Another man mentions Domdora to the
south, and an innkeeper there. Heed the merchant's words, and help
yourself to the treasure chests, to get 630G, a Torch, and a Copper
Sword.

If you talk to the old woman behind her locked door, she gives you a
replacement Key. She's not such a bad lady! ^^ Where's this Grave,
though? Stand above the table in the old woman's room, and move north.
You'll go through a hole in the wall, and emerge on the other side.
Speak to the wizard here, and he'll vanish to let you pass. It's time
for treasure-hunting!

Get out your light, and head north. Go east, then north again, to reach
a four-way intersection. Go to the east for four intersections, then
continue all the way north. Go west, north, and west again, to find a
small treasure-trove! Get the Key, 537G, and LifeAcorn here, then go
back east. Go north and east, following the path south until you reach
some pillars. Continue southwards, following the path, and you'll reach
a big door. Use your Key, and open it up! Follow the snaking path to the
west, past all the torches, and head down the stairs here.

Ignore the stairs within sight of you, as they just lead to an empty
room. Go west instead, and west past the next intersection. Continue
west, and go down the stairs. Go west, and south when you reach the
water, following the path until you can go north. Do so, and you'll find
a chest with 343G! Return to the stairs, go up them, and go south, until
you see some more stairs. Head on down, and then walk north. Take the
eastern of the two passages, and go north as far as you can, past some
pillars. Continue east and north, going east a bit more and down the
stairs you see. Follow either of the walls around, then move west and
head down the stairs you'll see here. Look, it's Garin's burial place!
And right infront of it, is the ShinyHarp! Get your treasure, and head
out of this monster-infested tomb.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2M. Rain and a Princess's Love
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: LoraLuv, Rainstaff.

Now that we have the ShinyHarp, we can return to the Rain Shrine!
Inside, trade the ShinyHarp with the wizard, for the Rainstaff. Only one
more to go! We saw a suspicious wizard in the Sacred Shrine, but we need
to find Loto's Seal before he'll speak to us. We don't have any leads on
that right now, but we have several others to take care of. We've heard
of a Golem somewhere, to lure to sleep with the PixyFlute; That there
was a destroyed town around here somewhere, and Domdora far to the south
of Garinham; and we've heard of a beautiful girl in the Tunnel Cave that
links the continents. Why don't we check it out?

From the northern part of the cave, get your light out and look around.
We're going to stray off of the straight-southern path we've always
taken, and explore this place in more detail. From the stairs, walk to
the east, and go south when you can. Head east, and south further, past
the dragon-tile on the ground, until you can't go further south. Head
just a bit to the west, then go south and west again, following the path
south as you reach a large door. Unlock it with a Key, and stroll in, to
see a large sleeping dragon! Talk to it, and it'll awaken, ready to
fight. Try to keep your HP up there, as staying alive is more important
than raining blows down every round. Strike, heal as needed, and
continue, and you'll be done before you know it!

Advance past the dragon to find... Princess Lora! She would have had to
marry DracoLord if she wasn't rescued, but you've saved her from that
fate worse than death. Offer to carry her back, and after a blush and
happy music, you'll see her in your arms, but this won't hinder fights
at all. Now, you can head back to the Castle, or you can take advantage
of some large renewable EXP! All you need to do, now that the Princess
is with you, is die. ^^; This can be quickly accomplished at the nearest
swamp. When you do, you'll be revived at the Castle, but without the
Princess. Beat up the Dragon again for another 950EXP, and repeat until
bored! Don't forget, you'll need a Key each time you attack the Dragon,
so leave one in reserve to visit Tantegal Castle's Key Shop.

Eventually, you'll have enough EXP, or will want to earn it the
legitimate way. Either way, head back to Tantegal Castle. Or to the
nearest Inn, for some late-night activity, like with the girl in
Tantegal Village. ^^; Heck, invite the girl along too! Eventually, go to
speak to the King, and the Princess will sit on her throne, but not
before confessing her love and giving you her heart! That's
metaphorical, she didn't really pull out her heart and stick it in your
pocket. ^^; You will get her love as an item though, the LoraLuv. She'll
tell you how many Experience Points you need for the next Level, as well
as telling you how far away from her and Tantegal Castle you are. Don't
forget to save after doing all this!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2N. The Ruins of Domdora
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Loto Armor.

Since we don't know where the Golem is, we should follow our other clue.
Domdora's supposed to be south of Garinham. If you remember how to get
to the Mountain Cave, simply move south of its swamp until you hit the
water, following it east and south until you can cross a bridge. Go
around the mountains further south, and into the desert. You'll soon
spot a ruined city! Could this be Domdora?

Head in, and roam around. Everything's shattered and dead, and monsters
roam around freely. If they're too tough for you, you should leave for
now; you can always come back later, and you'll want to for sure. Head
to the right of the town, and walk around to the shop in the lower
right. Maybe this was the Inn? Walk across the poisonous swamp, to the
north, and suddenly a MadKnight will attack! Try to keep those HP up,
and hit him with your strongest attacks. If you can't beat him yet, just
come back later after a Level or two. Believe it or not, though, a
friend of mine beat this guy at Level 8, on the original NES version.
Once I can pull this off, I'll mention it here! ^^ Once you win, examine
the ground one step to your right, and you'll find Loto's Armor! Equip
this immediately, as it's the best armor in the game! This's what we
came here for, so when you've gotten it, you can leave these ruins, to
save or what have you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2O. The Fortress City of Mercado
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: DEFseed, Key, MysticNut.

From Domdora, you want to head as far south as the desert goes, then
keep going straight south as far as you can. When you hit the ocean, go
west a smidge at the lake, them south and east. You should find a bridge
to cross. Head north, following the mountains as they go east, and cross
the second bridge you come to, for some more poisonous swamp. On the
other side, head south. You'll see a walled city, with a large stoney
creature infront. It's Golem!

Put that PixyFlute to good use, and use it as an Item. Golem will be put
to sleep, and you can start attacking! Whenever Golem wakes up, use your
flute again, and eventually you'll defeat it for lots of Experience!
Once you've won, make your triumphant way into Mercado, the Fortress
City.

This city is huge! From the very north-west, you'll find stairs leading
up to a Storage place, which has the same function (and inventory) of
the one in Tantegal. You'll hear rumors of Loto's Armor, which a man
named Yukinov buried behind a tree in Domdora, if you haven't gotten it
already. The Inn to the east of this has a DEFseed in the bureau. To the
south is more information about Yukinov, and further south is the beet-
dealer and an Item Shop. The building south of here, after you use a Key
to get in, houses a descendant of Yukinov's, who says the shop Loto's
Armor was buried by is to the east of town. Again, if you have the
Armor, you know all about this. ^^ You can also get a replacement Key
from the dresser here.

The large building in the middle is actually a pond and an old woman,
once you press against it and find an opening, who talks about a wizard
locked up right to the south. He knows about Loto's Seal, so let's pay
him a visit. Head south, and open a door with a Key. Watch your HP on
the barriers here, and talk to the man. He'll say to go 70 North and 40
East of Tantegal Castle. Why, we can use the LoraLuv to find this! North
of the Repellent Shop, is a dresser with a MysticNut in it. And behind a
locked door, is both a Key Shop, and a Weapon and Armor Shop that sells
the Flame Sword and Silver Shield! The Flame Sword's the second-best
weapon in the game, and the Silver Shield is the best shield the game
has. They're both pricey, but it wouldn't be a waste to save up and buy
the both of them. ^^ Go on out, build some levels, and add these to your
arsenal. Now, it's time for some buried treasure!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2P. Sealed Rainbows
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Loto Seal, RainbwDrp.

Head out of Mercado, and take the bridge back to the west. Follow the
path back to the southwest, before going east over the first bridge you
see. Soon, you'll see the largest patch of poisonous swamp in the entire
world of Alefgard! If you have Loto's Armor, none of this will do a bit
of damage to you. If you don't, just keep those HP up. ^^; Wander out
into the swamp, and take out the LoraLuv. The wizard in Mercado, if you
remember, mentioned 70 North, and 40 East of Tantegal Castle. That
means, if Tantegal Castle's 40 steps to the west, then you must be 40
steps to its east! We're south of there, though, so perhaps 70 spaces
north of Tantegal would get us back here, if we sailed across the ocean.
We can't in this game, so just pretend that it's 70 South for now.

When you arrive there, search the ground and you'll find the Loto Seal!
If for some reason, you dont have the Loto Seal on you, don't despair;
just go into the middle of the swamp, where the mountains and ocean
nearly touch, making a narrow corridor for you to pass through. Stand
beneath the middle mountain of these three, and move seven steps to the
east. That's the spot!

With your symbol of heredity firmly in your position, make your way back
to the other continent, and the Sacred Shrine at its southernmost point.
If you have the Sun Stone and the Rainstaff with you, and the Loto Seal
as proof of your heredity, the wizard will merge the Sun Stone and
Rainstaff together, and you'll have the RainbwDrp! This's what we need
to begin the assault on DracoLord's Castle!

Head back north, past Rimuldar, to the south exit of the Tunnel Cave.
Move west, and you'll see a tiny finger of land, just failing to bridge
the gap over to the island DracoLord calls home. Use the RainbwDrp, and
a rainbow will appear, creating a bridge over the water for you! When
you think you're ready, cross the bridge and walk through the swamp,
heading north and up the cliffs, into DracoLord's Castle.

2Q. The Sword of Loto
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 503G, Herb, Loto Sword.
This place certainly doesn't seem friendly, in the middle of a poisonous
swamp, on a cliff, with skeletal pillars right inside. ^^; Head west,
and north, then go a bit east. Follow the path south, but don't go in
the door here; both doors on this floor only lead to empty dead-end
rooms. Walk into the throne room here, and head around to its back.
Directly behind the throne, you'll find a hidden set of stairs if you
search! Head down these to the main dungeon.
Turn on your light, and head south and through the door here. Follow the
path south until you reach an intersection, and continue west. Continue
down this curving path, and you'll soon reach another intersection. Take
the northern path, following it east, and you'll find a staircase
leading further underground.
On the next floor, head west and north, continuing north at the next
intersection. Follow along, heading east when you can, and take the next
intersection south. Go south at the next fork, south yet again, and
you'll find some stairs. Go on down! ^^
Head west, and pillage the chests here for an Herb and 503G. Yay! Now go
back east, following the path north until you arrive in a large room.
Further north is a staircase; it just leads to a dead-end, so ignore it.
Continue to the northwest instead, and you'll see another staircase.
This one's good to go down.
Now, remember this floor. From the stairs, you want to move as far south
as you can, taking a turn eastward into the room with the dragon-tiles
infront of it. Move north, and go up the stairs here. Move to the
southeast, and up the stairs here, as well. On the next floor, go up
again, and you'll be in a room that's deserted, except for a treasure
chest. Inside, you'll find the Loto Sword! This's the best offensive
weapon in the game, and supposedly the only weapon that can harm the
DracoLord, even though my Bamboo Stick does a good job too. You'll
definitely want to equip this sword though! I recommend casting Outside,
and Return, so you can save and have this Sword for keepers. Then we'll
begin the final assault on DracoLord's Castle!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2R. Savior of the World
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 417G, 535G, DvlBelt, Herb, Key, MysticNut, Warp Wing.
Return to DracoLord's Castle, if you left it, and go back to the floor
you were told to remember. From the stairs here, head to the southeast,
and take the passage to the east. Head north, and take the stairs in the
middle of the four pillars. On this floor, move south, and go west past
the row of torches on the wall. The enemies get tougher from this floor
down, so watch out! Move north at the end, and you'll go down another
flight of stairs.
In this large room, just move to the east, and down the stairs on the
other side. Once you go down here, you won't need a light-source; the
area's completely lit up. This's the very bottom of DracoLord's Castle,
where you'll finally face your foe! Move north, and follow the path as
it goes east and north. You'll see a door to the side, so use a Key on
it and you'll be in a large treasure-horde! You'll find, from the top
row, an empty chest, 535G, a Warp Wing, a Key, a DvlBelt, another empty
chest, 417G, an Herb, and a MysticNut.
Head back down towards the stairs, and head west instead. Take the
second path north, and follow it to an intersection. Go east, and follow
the path south across the water. Head west, and sitting on his throne
will be the DracoLord! When you talk, he offers to share half the world
with you, if you'll only join him. He'll also thank you for bringing the
Princess to him, if you're carrying her with you for some reason. If you
say yes, he asks you for your sword. If you did go and give it to him,
then you'll wake up in Rimuldar, having had a bad dream. You'll still
have your surrendered weapon, thankfully. Of course, you need to decline
DracoLord's invitation! You're a descendant of Loto, after all! Being
upset, he'll of course fight you now.
He only looks like an old man, what harm can he do? He'll hit you with
his stick, and maybe fire off a Sleep spell or two. Before you know it,
he'll fall. That wasn't so hard! Before you know it, DracoLord's true
draconic form emerges! You'll have to keep fighting, without a chance to
heal inbetween. He hits hard, and other than normal, dragon-type flames,
he also can breathe 'intense flames' for a good 50HP or so of damage.
This's the last fight, so watch that HP, and keep up the attack! When
you win, you'll get the Light Orb back, and peace will be restored, just
like that. You'll escape the castle, to make your victory-trek around
the world! A funny note is that all the poisonous swamps are now
flowerbeds. ^^
Make your way back to Tantegal Castle eventually, and pass the rows of
guards to talk to the King. He'll offer you his kingdom, but the game
makes you say no, as your character would rather make their own castle
elsewhere. Plus, if you said yes, there'd be no sequal to play! ^^ Lora
will run down the stairs, if you rescued her, and ask to accompany you
to find your new kingdom. Say yes, and the two of you will walk off, to
start your new beginning. Congratulations, you beat Dragon Warrior 1!
This area'll show the Experience total you need to get, to achieve each
level. I'll list what your stat improvements are, per Level, excluding
ATK and DEF, as these're just a match for your STR and GRD if you're
unequipped. You'll also see what spells you learn at what levels. I
haven't used any of the seed items to get these stats, these're all your
natural ones.
4. Dragon Warrior 2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4A. Dragon Warrior 2 Information
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dragon Warrior 2, of course, is the sequal to Dragon Warrior 1. This
game expanded on the old, and tried several new things. Multiple party-
members, as well as multiple enemies attacking, were things the first
game was missing. There's a bigger world to explore, and ships to sail
the waters as you try to succeed in your quest. Other than the changes
that a remake like this goes through, it's just as much fun as the
original! ^^

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4B. The Beginning
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 50G, Copper Sword.

Many years ago, a descendant of Loto saved Alefgard from DracoLord. He
sailed away with Princess Lora, and founded several kingdoms elsewhere.
100 years later, we see Moonbrook Castle underseige by the forces of a
sinister wizard, Hargon, who is seeking to resurrect an eviler being. An
injrued soldier manages to escape, after witnessing what happens to the
King and Princess, and makes it to the Castle of Lorasia.

Your character's father, the King, tells you to seek out the other two
descendants of Loto, in Cannock and Moonbrook, and defeat Hargon. You'll
be gifted with a chest of 50G and a Copper Sword, and let loose upon the
baddies of the world. ^^ This castle's got a few interesting things in
it, such as a Travelers' Gate, that functions as a teleporter. There's
information about Temples, to get poison purified, curses lifted, and
ghosts brought back to life.  You'll also see two types of doors you
can't get into. Both require different types of keys, and you won't get
them just yet. You'll also hear about Leftwyne, to the west of the
Castle.

Head out into the world, beating up monsters and getting those low
Levels up! Staying around Lorasia until you can purchase the Leather
Shield from the Item Shop isn't a bad idea; you'll be as ready as you
can be for the journey ahead of you!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4C. A Shrine and the Village of Leftwyne
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: SlotToken.

When you're armed and ready, start heading south of Lorasia Castle. This
might seem odd, since we haven't heard anything about it yet, but if you
continue south you'll find a bridge. Cross over, and continue along to
the southeast. On a peninsula jutting out to the south, you'll find a
small Shrine. A wizard here will tell you that there's a Silver and a
Gold Key, and that the Silver Key is found west of Cannock Castle. He
says you should wait until you have a companion first, which's wise
advice. There's a door here we can't get into either, but we can come
back later.

Return to Lorasia Castle, healing up if need be, and head towards the
west. You might have to move north a bit to get around the water, but if
you continue along, past a desert, forest, and a poisonous swamp, you
should see Leftwyne! ^^

Right to your left, is the local Item Shop, with a storage area
upstairs. To the right is the local Inn, which has a reasonible price.
You'll find the Temple to the northeast, and stairs going upstairs. The
boy there will tell you how to get to Moonbrook from the Shrine further
west, but we're not going there just yet. If you go upstairs in the
Weapons and Armor Shop, you'll learn about Cannock Castle being right to
the north. You can also get a SlotToken from the bureau here! ^^

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4D. Cannock Castle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

Make sure you have what equipment you want, and that you're all healed
up. When you're set, head straight north from Leftwyne, until you hit
the mountains, then travel a short distance to the west. That's Cannock
Castle!

Explore the outer grounds, and you'll find an Item Shop, an Inn, and a
traveling merchant with weapons and armor for sale. You'll hear about
the Prince of Cannock, and how he can use spells, but not heavy
equipment. It's good to be mixed! ^^ Explore the main castle, to find a
Temple and a jail! The thieves there talk about the world's end and the
Silver Key. You'll find another door, with a wizard guarding a
suspicious chest. Hmm... You'll also find the Prince of Cannock's
sister, who says that her brother's very easy-going, and might be
wandering around somewhere. Great, just when we need him! ^^;

Talk to the King of Cannock, and you'll learn the Prince (his name
changes every game) is off to visit the Hero's Spring, which a soldier
upstairs will say is to the north of Lorasia Castle. Now we need to go
on an adventure to find the Prince of Cannock!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4E. Hero's Spring
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 86G, Antidote, Herb.

An easier way to get to the Hero Springs, is just to go to the east of
Cannock Castle, on the northern side of the mountains. To the east,
you'll see a bridge; cross it, and a few screens to the east, you'll
find the cave enterance we're searching for. Unlike Dragon Warrior 1, we
don't need to bring torches or Radiant spells into dungeons anymore. ^^

Once inside, make your way north and east, following the passage. Ignore
the turn to the west, and just stay on course until you find a pond.
When you do, take the first turn to the south, for a chest with an Herb.
Take the path eastwards now, and follow that south and west for two
screens. Head north for a chest with 86G, then go back to the pond. Head
north, making a detour to the right and down the stairs. The soldier
there'll say to go find the Hero's Spring! Head back up and continue
following the path north and west.

At the end of this path, we'll find a wizard, who sprinkles us with
water from the Spring. The wizard will also tell you that the Prince of
Cannock just left! Grr! He's heading towards Castle Lorasia now. A bit
left of the Spring is an Antidote in a chest; help yourself! Now we can
leave this place, and head back to the Castle of Lorasia.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4F. The Prince of Cannock
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

When you arrive at Lorasia Castle, head straight for the throne room and
talk to your father, the King. He'll say the Prince was just here, and
went looking for you at Cannock again. x.x Make your way out of here,
and head towards Leftwyne. Might as well heal up before heading towards
Cannock again, right?

When you reach Leftwyne, make a beeline for its Inn. Who's that new
person standing by the Inn's table, in green? It's the Prince of
Cannock! He'll join up, and will stay in your party from now on. Whoo-
hoo! However, he's only at Level 1, and lightly armed, so don't go
rushing out to more dangerous areas just yet! Take the time to get used
to the Prince's spells as well, as this'll be your party's first spell-
caster. When you're all set, return to Cannock Castle to heal and save,
before we set out to find the Silver Key.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4G. Lake Cave and the Silver Key
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 245G, AGLseed, Antidote, LifeAcorn, SilverKey, SlotToken, Warp
      Wing.

Head west of Leftwyne, heading north when you hit the ocean's coast.
Continue west when you can, and you'll see the Shrine to Moonbrook. The
guards inside will move, if the Prince of Cannock is with you, and the
wizard here mentions the Shrine south of Lorasia Castle. We could head
towards Hamlin and Moonbrook now if we wanted to, but we still need to
get the Silver Key.

Head straight north now, and go around the water so you can cross the
bridge to the west. Follow the mountains south and west through a pass.
You'll eventually see a cave in the middle of a lake, with two bridges
leading to it. Head on inside and you'll be in the Lake Cave!

From the stairs, head south into another room, moving west to get a
chest with an AGLseed in it. Head back to the main path, and continue
westwards, moving south at the lake. Note the path to the west, but
don't take it yet, instead going south and moving east onto the next
screen. Get the chest here for a SlotToken, and go back to take the path
west of the lake. Follow it south and west, and you'll find the stairs
to the next floor.

Go down these stairs, and follow the path south, taking your first turn
to the east. Get the LifeAcorn in the chest here, and head back out to
the corridor. Continue south, taking the second turn west to get an
Antidote. Take the corridor all the way south, then head west to find a
room with two chests, containing 245G and a Warp Wing. Head back all the
way east, and then go south as far as you can. You'll see a shiny key-
shaped object on the ground. Why, this's the SilverKey! Grab this, then
get yourself back out of the dungeon. We have some doors to try now!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4H. The Road to Hamlin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: SlotToken.

Make a detour all the way back to Lorasia Castle, making sure to save so
we never have to go reclaim the SilverKey. On the east side of the
castle, you can find the Jail, and a man who wants you to break him out
with the Jail Key. We don't have that, so we can't help him out, or the
man in intensive custody to the south. However, on the west side of the
Castle, we can open two other doors. The one of the left will let us get
some more information on Hargon, as well as a SlotToken. The door on the
right'll let us get information on Amulets.

Head back to Leftwyne, and you'll find a Slot Machine behind the silver
door! You need SlotTokens to play. You want to try to get three of the
same picture. If you get two of a picture, you'll get a SlotToken back.
You can win some good prizes here! Don't worry for now if you can't get
anything, or don't want to play, as later towns will also have the same
slot machines.

Now we're ready to get to Hamlin! Return to the Shrine to Moonbrook, and
go down the stairs. Head straight to the south when you're in the cave;
the path that heads west just leads eventually to a dead-end. Take a
short trek to the west, and up the stairs, to reach the new continent!
Continue straight south, fending off old and new monsters alike, and
after passing hills and mountains, you'll reach the village of Hamlin!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4I. The Town of Hamlin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

This town has lots of things that'll be useful in the times to come.
There's much stronger equipment here, for the Prince of Lorasia, for
instance. Slot Machines are here for your gambling addiction, and even
an old wizard who will save your game, just like at a castle! You'll
find people that give valuable information; one person will mention a
cape to help you fly one you've jumped from a height, and another person
will mention Moonbrook Castle to the southwest. There's yet another door
we can't get into just yet, and more curiously, a dog will try to become
a party-member if you talk to it!

You might want to stick around and build up your Levels, and use your
money to get this newer equipment, before heading out of town and across
the southern bridge. Head south until you hit the mountains, then travel
to the west. When you're out of the forest, head south and you'll find a
ruined Castle sitting in the middle of nowhere. Could this be Moonbrook
Castle?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4J. Moonbrook Castle and the Princess
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: LarMirror.

This is indeed Moonbrook Castle! Beware, as many enemies are still
roaming around it. Head straight north to the throne room, to talk to
the flaming spirit of Moonbrook's King. He'll say how the Princess was
cursed and turned into a dog. Could this be the dog in Hamlin? Continue
to the west and north, to loot the chests here, but unfortunately they
are empty. The spirit to the west of here mentions the Lar Mirror to the
east, inside of a swamp. If you circle around the western, outer edge of
the castle, you can reach the courtyard in the middle. Down the stairs,
a soldier will die as he says to use the Lar Mirror on the cursed
Princess, and she'll be back to normal. We know where the Princess is
now, so let's get the Mirror!

Head straight east of Moonbrook Castle, heading just a bit south as you
follow the water. Continue east, and you'll find a bridge near a patch
of swamp. Walk north and you'll see more bridges by this two by two
patch of swamp. Search the upper-right part of the swamp, and you'll
find the LarMirror! Yay! Run back to Hamlin as fast as you can, and use
the LarMirror as you face the dog in town. The Princess will have her
curse broken, and will join the party! She's also at Level 1, and has
very low attack strength and defense. Her specialty will be in spells,
so spend time to build her Levels up before heading to the next area.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4K. Tower of Wind
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 343G, Herb, Wind Cloak, Wizard Ring.

Start walking east of Hamlin, and before you know it you'll see a
bridge. Don't cross this one! Instead, head north, following the water,
and cross this next bridge as you come to it. ^^ Follow the beach/desert
path south, between the water and the mountains, and continue westwards.
Cross the next bridge you see, and head to the east, then southwards
over the next bridge. Sure are a lot of bridges in this area, aren't
there? ^^; Cross the next bridge to the east, then head south and cross
the last bridge to the west. Keep going, and we'll reach the Tower of
Wind!

There's lots of floors in this tower, but it's not as tricky as it might
seem. First, head due south, and you'll reach a four-way intersection,
with a staircase nearby. First, head south, and take the path east to
get a chest with an Herb in it. Now, go back to the intersection, and
head east, ignoring the stairs. Move north, and go up these stairs here.
You'll meet a man who tells you that you can jump off the Tower's sides
if you need to. Continue westward, and up the stairs you come to.

On the next floor, head south, and take the path east to get a chest
with 343G in it. Head back out to the main corridor and take the stairs
here to go up another floor. You want to go east now, and go up the
first stairs you see. Carefully move west and north, careful not to fall
off the Tower's edges, and take the next stairs you find. Keep moving
down the stairs you see, and after two floors you'll find a Cloak by
some white-blue tiles. It's the Wind Cloak! Equip this now, so you don't
forget it.

We're not quite done yet! Head back the way we came, up and down stairs,
until we reach the floor we headed east on, before taking these stairs.
Head further east, and take the next set of stairs too. Head north to
reach the next set of steps, then on the next floor, you want to walk
around to the northwest. After that, it's just one more floor before we
reach the top of the Tower, and find a chest here. There's a Wizard Ring
here! Pocket this too, and head out of the Tower, by jumping off the
edge on the last floor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4L. Flying and Sailing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Dew Yarn, STRseed.

Head back to Hamlin with your impressive new Cloak and Ring, saving and
resting up for the next little step in our search for Hargon. We want to
walk back to Moonbrook Castle, heading west of it rather than going
inside. You'll see a bridge to the south, cross it and head west to
reach a Shrine. Head into it and out the other side, making use of the
Temple options here if need be, then follow the grass towards the west.
You'll soon reach a huge desert! Just walk towards the northwest, and
before too long you'll reach a Tower on the southside of a narrow river.
Head on inside!

A man right inside will tell you about these two towers, known as the
Drakhorns. There used to be a bridge across, but there isn't one
anymore. Maybe we can put our Cloak of Wind to good use, and float
across? Head back and take the nearby stairs. You'll need to move around
the room to get to the stairs on each floor, without stepping in the
hole on the room's center. Once you get to the top, you'll find openings
in the wall of the Southern Drakhorn, to the west and north. Make sure
your Wind Cloak is equipped, and jump from the northern opening!

You'll be across the river now, and right by the Northern Drakhorn.
Before going anywhere else, make a detour inside, and head south to the
stairs. Go up the next flight of stairs, so you're on the third floor.
Now, move one step north, and two west, then search the floor. You'll
find the Dew Yarn! We don't have a use for it now, but we can always put
it in storage until we're ready for it. ^^

Back outside, continue north and east along the coast, and we'll reach
the town of Lianport. There's a casino bunny-girl in town, who'll offer
to give you a powder-puff massage, as well as other strange citizens.
You'll hear word from Alefgard and Tantegal Castle, and how the King
there seems to be missing. You'll also be told you can't get a boat
here. That's not really fair, we need a boat! Make sure you talk to the
wizard to the left of the town's enterance, to save while we're here.

Continue looking around, and to the west of the Weapon and Armor Shop,
you'll see a girl being accosted by monsters! Refuse to hand her over,
and you'll have to fight two Gremlins! They're not so hard, only if you
haven't rested at the Inn first will they be a problem. After they're
taken out, the girl will thank you and talk to her grandfather. Now we
can borrow their boat, great! ^^v

Before going into the shipyard, head back to where you rescued the girl,
and head to the upper-left corner of the wall, and search on the ruined
ground there to get a STRseed! Now, head into the shipyard, and walk
onto your new boat. Before going north, you'll want to take a turn
south. Dock and walk inside the building here, to hear about how this
merchant's ship sank, and he'll repay anyone who can get his treasure
back. Now we can go north, and use this passage to sail out of town.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4M. Repeating the Past
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 151G, EchoFlute, Loto Sword, Repellent, Steel Armor, STRseed,
      Treasure, WorldMap.

Alefgard is the world that Dragon Warrior 1 took part in, as you might
know. Loto's descendant and Lady Lora left here to settle the other
kingdoms your party hails from. And now, it's jsut a few seconds across
the sea from Lianport! Head straight east, and you'll soon land on
Alefgard. Move north past the swamp, where the Mountain Cave used to be
in Dragon Warrior 1, and head east to Tantegal Castle.

Rather than a castle and seperate town, the two've joined together
through all the years. There's not much to get here other than
information and healing. There's a place to save, and you'll soon find
that the King has gone into hiding! You'll find the old wizard from
Dragon Warrior 1, who offers to free you from curses. Don't forget the
Repellent in the jar next to him! There's also a wizard who'll restore
your MP for free. The Inn here is very cheap, and upstairs in the
Weapons and Armor Shop, you'll see a Kingly figure hiding behind a Gold
Door. We can't get in just yet! In a positive note, there's a Hammer for
your Prince of Lorasia, and some headgear for sale too! Also, don't
forget to talk to the man wearing a turban, in the temple, that mentions
the sunken treasure, or you won't be able to find it.

Return to Lianport, and start sailing straight north, looking around
carefully as you do so, and after a few screens you might see some white
dots in the water. Sail ontop of them and search, and you'll find the
missing treasure the merchant in Lianport is looking for! Sail back, and
speak to him, to get the EchoFlute. We'll need this later, but for now
you can just keep it in your inventory or storage.

Now, sail south of Tantegal Castle, and you'll land at DracoLord's
Castle, from way back in Dragon Warrior 1. ^^ March inside, thorough the
razed castle, and past the poisonous swamps towards the remaining
stairs. Head down them and to the west, following the path as it leads
down another set of stairs. On this next floor, note the chest in the
center, but follow the path clockwise to the next floor down.

Now, head east, then go as far north as you can, to find a set of
stairs. Go down them, then head south to another floor. Next, head north
and take the set of stairs back up. Head to the southwest, where a
dragon-tile will be on the ground, to see two staircases. Take the
southern one, then go to the northwest to take these next stairs. You'll
again be on a floor of limited choices; just go down these stairs, then
the next. We'll finally arrive by a treasure chest! Open it to receive
the Loto Sword! Why did the Hero of Dragon Warrior 1 return this sword
here? ^^; It would've been so much nicer if it was a family heirloom,
passed down to you at the start of the game maybe. It'd certainly have
made fights easier and faster!

Retrace your steps back up to where we decided to take the southern
stairs. This time, take the western ones. Follow the corridor south,
west and back to the north, moving down these stairs. Head east, and
down the stairs here, to reach the bottom floor of DracoLord's castle!

Head towards the north, and up the first corridor you see. The striped
tiles hurt you, and cause 7HP damage with every step! Cast StepGuard if
you have it, and on the other side you'll find some chests. Open them to
get 151G, the WorldMap, a STRseed, and some Steel Armor. Head back to
the main path, and follow it north, east and south, to eventually bump
into... DracoLord? No, it's his great-grandson. He is following in his
own descendant's footsteps it seems, and if we promise to get rid of
Hargon, he'll tell us something important. We're going to anyways, so go
ahead and say yes. You'll learn of the five Seals we need to find, and
how this will aid us. Mercado used to be in the far south of Alefgard,
and supposedly there's an island off of it where we should go next.
Thanks to the WorldMap, we can clearly see what the DracoLord's great-
grandson means! Cast Outside when you're ready to go, and heal and save
back at Tantegal Castle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4N. Lighthouse
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 503G, 729G, LifeAcorn, Sickle, Star Seal.

Head south of Tantegal Castle via boat, curving to the east around
DracoLord's Castle, and heading south when you can. You'll find a poison
swamp on your right side, which's where you should get off the boat.
Walking inland, you'll see a Shrine here, and a familiar helmet behind a
man downstairs. He won't surrender Loto's Helmet unless you bring the
Loto Seal as proof. Not again! ^^; Don't take the Travelers' Gate just
yet, and go back on the boat and continue south. After a while, you'll
land on an island with a tower on it, head on in!

A soldier here will mention the five Seals here, and how they're not
items, but 'markings of the soul.' That means they won't take up your
personal inventory space! =P Ignore the guard's warning of the monsters,
and head up to the Lighthouse's enterance, and inside.

Head east, then go north, taking the second path to the west. Follow it
north and a step or so west, taking the first path north. Go all the way
to the west, then all the way south. Go a little ways east, moving
north, east, north, and east again so you're hugging the wall of the
covered room. Move all the way east, then move north until you can go
west, and do so. Ignore the stairs here, and move north, following this
passage for a chest with 503G. Head back to the stairs, ignoring them
and continuing further south, taking these stairs.

Walk to the south, and you'll find another set of stairs. Head east on
the next floor, and you'll find yet more stairs. On this next floor, you
want to head towards the northeast, where you'll find, guess what? Yes,
stairs! Head up them, and to the west you'll find a chest with a Sickle.
That's why we came here, so head back all the way to the first floor,
and head west to move up the next set of stairs.

Walk west here, and head as far south as you can before hitting a wall,
then walking east to take the stairs here. On the Third Floor, move west
and north, noting these stairs but not taking them yet, instead moving
east and north past them. Open the door, and walk across the tiles to
the stairs here. Move north and up the stairs, then south and do the
same. Repeat until you eventually wind up on the top floor! Talk to the
soldier to the south, and you'll learn about Rhone, and how you can't
just sail over to it. That's all we came up here for, so go back
downstairs to the staircase on the Third Floor we noted, and go up them.

Head south on the Fourth Floor, moving east of the stairs you see to get
a chest with 729G in it, before walking back and taking those stairs up.
Head east, then south, then taking a turn east into the covered room, to
get to some more stairs. Go north, down the stairs here, and head west
to get a chest with a LifeAcorn.

Head back down to the Fourth Floor, and from the stairs you came down,
move north, east until an intersection, then north. Move west, careful
not to fall off the Lighthouse's edge, then go up these stairs. Continue
east, again careful of the edge, and go up these stairs. You'll arrive
at a door, open it and again move to the north and west, watching the
edge, and go up these stairs.

Go east, and don't fall, like all the other floors. x.x This time, we'll
see a Gremlin-like monster run away to the south. Follow it, and you'll
see an old man. When you speak to him, he offers to bring you to the
Seal, and runs to the west. Follow him to the west, and take the lower
of the two staircases, to the west. The old man, who waited for you,
runs to the east, and down some stairs. You should do the same. On the
next floor, the quick old wizard runs to the north, and down another set
of stairs, before running south and west down more stairs.

East and north is the path on the next floor, before you go down some
stairs and see a chest. Yes! Now, heal your characters to full HP, and
walk past the wizard to open the chest. Inside, you'll find nothing!
Zip, zero, nadda. You've been set up! Four Gremlins will appear, one
being the old man as well, and attack! These guys could only be tough if
you were unhealed and unprepared. When you win, you'll get the Star
Seal! This appears as a star under your Experience total, in the Info
Screen. Now let's get the heck out of here and save!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4O. Osterfair Castle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Moon Seal.

It's time to head back to your ship, and sail due east of Alefgard.
You'll pass the Tunnel Cave from Dragon Warrior 1, and keep going past
it to eventually hit land. Sail north through the small gap in the land,
and you'll soon see two familiar caves and a Shrine. This's where we
went to get to Hamlin! Follow the northern continent as you head east
and south, with some more travel eastward, until you see Lorasia Castle.
It's certainly been a while, hasn't it? If you do go in, and speak to
the King, he'll be glad to see that the Princess is alive, and adopts
her into the family, at least in word. That's awfully nice of him, isn't
it? ^^

Continue along the edge of the continent, moving south and a bit west.
Head straight south when you can, and you should see a Shrine sitting
literally in the middle of the water. There's nothing we can get or
learn inside of here yet, but this's the Spirit Shrine, where we should
go once all five Seals have been recovered, to meet Rubiss. Now you know
where to find it though! ^^

Sail further south, and you should see some land to the east, with
mountains and reefs. Sail in here, and land to be on a small enclosed
island. Head towards the nearby Castle, talking to the people inside to
hear about arena battles and the King that likes to watch them. If you
walk around the walls, you'll also find a Travelers' Gate, which leads
to a room we can't explore yet with our SilverKey. Instead, take the
exit by the casino-bunny girls, and to the main part of the Castle.

Speak to the King, and he'll welcome you to Osterfair Castle. Agree to
fight in the arena, and you'll have to slay a SaberLion. Although it
hits hard, it shouldn't slow you down for any more than two rounds. When
you've won, speak to the King to receive the Moon Seal! Yay, three more
to go!

Walk around the other half of Osterfair, to hear all sorts of
information. You'll learn about how the EchoFlute, well, echos, whenever
a Seal is nearby, and we'll hear about some armor called Gaia Armor,
that might be behind the Weapons and Armor Shop's counter. The best news
is from the Castle's jail, where we can hear that the Gold Key is in
Zahan, where a man named Tarn's holding it. Let's go get it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4P. Port of Zahan
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Gold Key, Sun Seal.

Sail far to the south of Osterfair, after passing back through the
channel. You'll see a Shrine on an island, which is where we're
disembarking. It's not Zahan, but something just as important. Walk
inside, and you'll see three Travelers' Gates. Don't enter any of them.
Instead, take a step out of the eastern side of the walls, and stand to
the east of the tree and search. It's the Sun Seal! We're just picking
these things up everywhere now. ^^; If you take the eastern Gate, you'll
be back at the Shrine where Loto's Helmet can be found. The western
gate, and most of the locations the middle one brings you, can't be
really explored without the Gold Key, so don't worry about them just yet
either.

Now, head a bit south, and then east, using the WorldMap to reach the
nearest island. You'll see a familiar Shrine, that leads back to Lorasia
Castle, and the port of Zahan! All the men're off fishing, so only
children and women are here at the moment. If you talk to the people,
you'll hear that there's a cave in the ocean that you need a MoonShard
to get into. You'll also hear that Tarn is dead! Oh, no! How'll we get
the Gold Key now?

The town's center Temple has lots of damaging floortiles, and bars
blocking things. For now, don't bother crossing, and instead talk to the
scary dog to the east. Stand infront of him, and search, to find the
Gold Key! Hold off on your whirlwind tour of the world to open all its
doors, as we have another Key nearby to get first.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4Q. Underground City of Wellgarth
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Dam Key, Jail Key, WorldLeaf.

Sail back to the Shrine we received the Sun Seal at, and sail towards
the west. Move past the small z-like island, and sail south to the
desert island with the lone tree at its center. Search the tree to find
the WorldLeaf! This item's like a Revive spell, but you can only pick
one at a time. Hold onto this, as it'll be useful! If you use it, you
can always just sail back here for another one, so don't forget how to
get here!

Now, go a tiny bit south, then sail further west of the World Tree, and
head north, to find a city in the wilderness. Or what should be a city;
rather, it's a man, his dog, a campfire, and a gold door. Open up the
door, and head down the stairs, to see a large underground city! This's
Wellgarth. They built the city underground, so Hargon couldn't find
them. We did though, so I'm not sure how well this really works. ^^;

Wellgarth has some of the best and most expensive equipment you can buy!
You'll also hear lots of new gossip here, such as Don Mahame the robe-
weaver being in the village of Tuhn. A man will tell you about the
Rubiss Charm's ability to counter illusions, and about Largos the
Thief's disappearence. Most importantly for right now, you'll hear about
the Jail Key being in this town. Go to the Item Shop that has a
suspicious blank, between its Antidote and Warp Wing, to buy a
mysterious item for 2000G. It's the Jail Key!

Now, return to the Jail here, and talk to the wizard to learn about the
Evil Statue. Enter the empty jail to the east, and standing where the
black mark is on the ground, walk to the east. You'll see Lagos the
Thief, who gives you the Dam Key. We're getting keys everywhere lately!
Do any shopping you need to here, then get ready to check out all those
doors that've stopped us for so long.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4R. Doors, Doors Everywhere
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 1196G, AGLseed, Bolt Wand, Gaia Armor, Herb, Holy Loom,
      LifeAcorn, Loto Helmet, Loto Seal, Loto Shield, MysticNut,
      STRseed, WaterSeal, Wizard Ring.

In this part, we're meerly going to clear up some loose ends. You can do
the events here in other orders, or even later on, but it wouldn't hurt
to take a break to get all the good stuff you'll find along the way! ^^

In Lorasia, you can use your Gold Key to get to the castle's treasury.
You'll get a LifeAcorn, an Herb, 1196G, a STRseed, a MysticNut, and the
Loto Seal, which isn't one of the five Seals you need. ^^ If you go down
to the jail, one prisoner will mention where the Life Seal is, which's
in the Cave to Rhone. Across the damage-barriers, you'll find a high-
security prisoner, Magus! Watch out for Explodet, and the Increase and
Decrease spells he'll use on you. When you win, you'll get some good
experience, and the Bolt Wand for the Princess! It has a high selling
price, and was responsible for a cheat way back in the NES version,
where you could keep selling this Wand and refighting the Magus. You
can't do that anymore, you'll have to find Maguses elsewhere, but the
Bolt Wand does do a cool bolt-version of Infernos when used in battle.
^^ Also, don't move after the fight, but search the ground, and you'll
get an AGLseed.

Walk to nearby Cannock Castle, and investigate the locked door here.
You'll be given Loto's Shield! Be sure to equip the Loto Shield, and
make your way back to Hamlin.

Here in Hamlin, enter the locked door and you'll see a prison cell.
Ignore it for now, and taken the other set of stairs, so an old wizard
can tell you about the Spirit Shrine. Now, go back to the jail, and open
the door, talking to one of the monsters. Two Ozwargs attack! They're
like Gremlins, so fight them off similarly. When you're done, search the
north-east corner of the room, and you'll find the WaterSeal! One more
to go!

Now, hop in your boat and sail back to Tantegal Castle. You'll learn
about the Dew Yarn here, if you haven't gotten it yet. You'll also bump
into the King above the Weapons and Armor Shop, but he'll still pretend
he's not who he really is. While we're in the area, visit the Southern
Shrine and show off your Loto Seal, to get the Loto Helmet.

Return to Osterfair, and unlock the door behind the Weapons and Armor
Shop to get a shiny Knife and a set of Gaia Armor. ^^ Also, the
Travelers' Gate here leads to the Shrine south of Lorasia.

Our last stop on the list is Zahan, preferably with the StepGuard spell.
Raid the village's temple, getting a Wizard Ring behind the right door,
and the Holy Loom behind the left. Now we just need to bring the Holy
Loom and the Dew Yarn to Tuhn!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4S. Tuhn Village
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Water Robe.

For this part of the journey, start at Lianport, and sail south and
west, towards the small river inbetween the Drakhorns. Sail through it,
and head south, hugging the coastline as you do so. You'll pass a
desert, and find an area with lots and lots of mountains guarding the
coast. Continue sailing along it, ignoring the forested region you'll
see, until you find a river. Sail east and north, following the river
past a bridge, and disembark on the west bank.

Head west, north at the swamp, and east to follow the river some more.
When the river moves south, so should you, until the river ends. When it
does, continue south a bit further, and head east, over the hills and
forests. There's Tuhn! You'll need to make a U-turn and come back to
enter it, but this'll only take another second.

There's not much to do here in Tuhn, but it'll be a good base of
operations for the next leg of our journey. You'll meet Jena, who's
complaining about her husband hanging around the dam again. You'll also
meet an elderly gentleman saying that the dam'll help to open up the
arid river. Remember the patch of desert outside Tuhn, where the river
was? This's what they're refering to, so I hope you remembered your Dam
Key!

Head north of the Inn and Item Shop, and you'll meet Jena's husband, who
seems to have some indigestion. Don't head any further north or east of
him, as he's on the edge of the Village map. Instead, head a bit back
south, and then west, to get to the Jail Door blocking the stairs
leading into the Dam. Open it, and step inside, using the Dam Key while
facing the lock, and all the water'll come rushing out! The river
outside will be restored, and we can use it to sail to the Lune Tower,
where the Moon Shard is kept. We're not done here yet, though!

Don Mohame is here, and he's the master robe-weaver mentioned in
Wellgarth. His shop's behind the Gold Key door in this Village,
actually. Go in, and hand over the Dew Yarn and Holy Loom, to get him
started on your Water Robe! He's going to need some time to complete it,
though, as in about a day. He means a day of playing the game, so the
best way to do this, is to use Return to get to Lianport, save, and turn
the game off. Seriously! ^^;

Turn it back on, stick your Dam Key in storage, since we don't need it
any longer, and start to sail back to Tuhn, by going west through the
river by the Drakhorns, and hugging the coastline south. This time,
ignore the first river you come to, and continue east, following the
coast still. You'll pass a river you can't get into, due to the reefs,
and very soon, you'll see another river you can sail into. Do so,
heading north at the bridge, then east, south and east again. Now you're
at Tuhn again! It's a bit faster than the first river path, in my
opinion, and we need the boat to be here anyways.

Heal up at the Inn, and nab the Water Robe for your Princess. It'll
basically be the best armor she can get, and she needs the protection
more than your other Princes. When you're ready, leave town, using the
boat to help us go south across the river, and enter the Lune Tower.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4T. Tides of the Moon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 279G, 1206G, DEFseed x 2, MoonShard, MysticNut, STRseed, Wizard
      Ring.

First, move south, until you can turn west and north. Avoid these stairs
for now, and continue west, to nab the chest with a STRseed. Go back and
take those stairs, then move south and to the east. Head up the stairs
here for a chest with 1206G in it, then head back down. Head a bit
further east, and go north when you reach the tile on the floor, for a
chest with a MysticNut. Back on the dragon-tile, head east, then south
and down the stairs here, for a chest with a DEFseed. There're seeds all
over this place!

Back at the tile, go up the stairs to the northeast of it, and take the
northern stairs on this floor. Move south, and pillage the two chests
for 279G, and another DEFseed. Return to the stairs, and move east
instead, before venturing up the stairs you come to. Move to the
southwest, and up those stairs by the door. Move clockwise around the
room here, without falling off the edge, as the path leads you to yes,
more stairs. Head up, and nab yourself a Wizard Ring!

Remember those doors, two flights down? Return to them, open one of the
doors, and head down the stairs here. You'll see another set of stairs
to descend, and once you do, move north and down the next. One flight
later, you'll see an old man, who'll give you a hint about what to use
the contents of that chest on. Take the MoonShard, and head on out!

Return to Osterfair, and sail southwest of it. The island we're looking
for is a tiny little dot on your World Map. When you arrive, you'll see
an island surrounded by reefs, and a cave opening. Face the cave, and
use the MoonShard, to make the reefs sink beneath the sea. If you're
healed and ready, go ahead and descend into the Sea Cave.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4U. Fiery Water
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 1198G, Amulet, EvlStatue, Magic Armor, MysticNut, Poison Trap x
      2, STRseed, Wizard Ring.

This Sea Cave was created from a volcanic eruption underwater, and was
later populated by monsters. Many passages loop around with only the
purpose of confusing your sense of direction. There's even a Fire Chapel
where Hargon's followers worship him, and that's exactly where we need
to go.

Our first move will be to head west, and north and east, as the path
goes. Don't forget to use Stepguard to prevent all the lava damage! Open
the chest at the end of the path for 1198G. Now, head back to the
stairs, and move south, taking the first path west. Continue along until
the second path north, and choose this one, moving up to get a chest
with a MysticNut. Return to the main path, and head the rest of the way
west, and south, and go down these stairs.

Move south, and then start to travel all the way west. If you go south
instead here, you'll just find am empty chest with a Poison Trap on it.
When you hit the wall, move north, and take these stairs. You can talk
to the guard if you want, he's friendly. ^^ In this passage, you want to
move to the southeast, then avoid the first stairs you come to, and go
down the one to the west. Nab the Wizard Ring from the chest here, and
head back to where we left that guard.

Now, start back east, but go south at your first opportunity. Move west,
and north over the lava here, before taking the stairs at the end of the
corridor, to the west. Open the door on this floor, and continue west,
avoiding the stairs and the first chest, as it's a Poison Trap chest.
The chest at the end has a helpful STRseed, though, so don't miss it.
Move south, to the next screen, and continue along the tunnel, until the
path splits north and east, to some stairs. Don't take this stairs, but
just move north, noting the next set of stairs you come to.

Journey to the northwest of the room, without taking any stairs down,
and get the chest with the Magic Armor in it. Now move back to the
stairs noted before, still not moving down them, and head to the second
staircase to the northeast. You can get an Amulet here! Now go back to
the first noted stairs, and head down them. Hug the western wall, and
move north, and take the stairs you come to. We're almost done!

Follow the path south, east, and north, to enter the Fire Chapel. You'll
immediately be attacked by two Evil Clowns, but they shouldn't slow you
down more than one round. Once they're gone, advance onwards, and pick
up the EvlStatue, before getting Outside!

With EvlStatue in hand, head to the southwest area of the world map, to
the area we've not explored yet. Near the middle of the continent is a
city we've not gone to yet, Beran, the City of Water.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4V. Beran, The City of Water
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: None

Beran'll be our base of operations for our next adventure, so it's good
to familiarize yourself with it. The Weapon Shop has some decent
equipment, and there's a Storage Shop here as well. You can do your
important reviving and the like nearby at the Temple, and there's an
important area locked up here as well. You can save your game here, too!
The thing worth the most mention, though, is the Inn.

Yes, the normally benevolent, well-welcomed Inn, can be a dangerous trap
here the first time you spend the night. The next morning, you'll
discover that the Prince of Cannock has been hit with a magical illness!
It's all Hargon's fault, of course, but the local citizens know how to
cure it: a WorldLeaf! Since the Prince'll be stuck in bed after his
illness, it's best not to actually use the Inn unless you have a
WorldLeaf handy on you. You can always get another one afterwards, don't
forget. Face the Prince, and use the WorldLeaf on him, and his
illness'll go away! From now on, the Inn here'll be just as safe as any
other, so feel free to reclaim your WorldLeaf, then coming back here.

Ready? Head to the Temple, and walk behind the Priest, opening the Jail
Door. Cast Stepguard on yourself, and walk across the damaging tiles, to
enter the Travelers' Gate. As the person in the nearby prison said,
this's the path that'll lead to Rhone, Hargon's land! On the other side
of the Gate, move south and outside the door. The stairs just lead you
to a wizard who'll confirm that Rhone's enterance is nearby. March ot
across the poisonous swamp, and you'll emerge outside, in an area
enclosed with mountains. You might've noticed this place before, and
been unable to get inside. Just move west to the poisonous swamp, and
use the EvlStatue, to make a cave enterance appear. This's the Cave to
Rhone!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4W. Descent Into The Cave To Rhone
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: 569G, 1387G, Evil Shield, Life Seal, Loto Armor, Magic Hat,
      RubissChm, Thundr Sword, SlotToken.

We're not yet ready to attack Hargon, but to do so, we need to make a
small trip into the Cave. Head north, and descend the first set of
stairs you come to. If you want to see something humorous, move to the
northeast, where you'll see some gravestones. Previous people who
adventured into this Cave, perhaps? Examine the gravestone to the right,
the broken one, and you'll find an escaped merchant. He doesn't actually
serve a purpose, but he's neat to find. ^^

To the southeast of the broken gravestone, you'll find a chest. Open it,
and you'll get the Life Seal! That's all five! Now, cast Outside and
Return, to get back to Beran. We need to go to Osterfair again, and head
north of the channel-opening, to reach the Spirit Shrine. Now that we've
obtained all five of the Seals, descend the stairs and stand in the
center of the Shrine, to speak to Rubiss the Earth Elemental! She'll
mention your ancestor, and give you the RubissChm, incase you ever come
across an illusion you need to shatter.

RubissChm in hand, we may now start the actual journey through the Cave
to Rhone. It'll be a long journey with tougher monsters, so make sure
you're healed up, and you have equipment you feel comfortible using.
When you're set, re-enter the Cave, and make your way back to the first
set of stairs.

Take the east passage here, before moving south, and east to the
northeastern path, being careful of the pitfall trap near the end. This
cave has lots of pit traps, but thankfully they stay revealed once we've
fallen in. I'll try my best to direct you through areas where falling
into a pit is necessary or something best to avoid! At the end of this
little corridor, move east, and south, going up the stairs here.

You'll be in a large area, where you can move in any of the four
directions. Go west, and travel north at the third intersection, taking
these stairs up. Move to the southeast now, then east and south,
ignoring the path to the north, as it's just an empty room. Move all the
way south, then follow the zigzag path to the southeast. Move east, and
take the first path north, to get a chest with a SlotToken! Move back
south, and east, and go up these stairs. Take the stairs on this screen,
then rob the chest on the next floor for the Loto Armor!

Head back down the stairs. You'll want to wander back to the stairs we
first came to this floor from, to the northwest of where we are. Once
there, head west, and head off the screen, continuing west and going up
these stairs. Head up another flight, and get the Magic Hat! This's a
great MP-reducing hat, that either of your mages would be happy to wear
for you. Go back to the screen to the east, and move north now, taking
the branch to the east so you can get a chest with 1387G.

Back on the main path now, continue north, skipping the paths that move
west and east. You'll reach a place where you can't go any further
north, but you can go west or east. Pick west, and continue along this
path until you reach some stairs. Go up the next ones, then move south
and to the west, to reach chests with an Evil Shield, and 569G. Head
back up the stairs, and back east, before going down the east path, past
a dragon-tile in the ground, and up those stairs.

Moving up another flight, you'll want to stay still. All around you are
pits, a large number of them all in this room. We only want to fall down
once, so move south one space, and west one space, to fall down into a
large square room. Head for the southwest corner, and move one space to
the east of it, and one space north, to find a pit! When you fall in,
you'll see a sword laying on the ground. Examine it to get the Thundr
Sword! Check the eastern passage near the end for another pit, to drop
us down at another floor. Then just check the northern most chamber of
this floor for another pit, to deposit us back near the Cave's very
beginning.

Retracing your steps to the stairs in the pit-filled room, move two
steps south, two steps west, six steps south, three steps east, and one
step north to reach the stairs! This next floor's rooms loop around, so
you might find yourself recrossing your path if you're not careful. Move
east to the next screen, then north and west to the next screen again.
Move north and east, until you hit the stone L shape. Don't step in the
center of the L, as there's a pit there! Move to the northeast, and take
the path here, before taking the upper path in the next room. Head all
the way north, then take the left fork, continuing north until you hit
the wall, then just move east two rooms. Take the stairs here, and we're
out of the Cave!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4X. Assault on Rhone
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Items: Devil Armor, DvlTail.

You've finally reached the last part of the journey to defeat Hargon,
before he can revive and summon the evil being he's seeking to! This
frozen wasteland's Rhone, where the evil sorcerer lies in wait for us to
challenge him. The World Map won't work here, but thankfully Rhone isn't
a gigantic place. First, we need to heal up! Move to the east of the
lake, trying to be careful of the stronger enemies who lurk here, and
north, around the outer mountain edge of Rhone. You'll eventually reach
some bridges, with a shrine after the second one. Head on inside!

This's the Shrine of Rhone, and the people here're friendly! You'll get
your HP and MP refilled when you talk to the Head Priest, as well as
have your comrades' revived, experience until the next level shown, and
your game saved! There's also a Travelers' Gate here to the Shrine
outside of the Cave of Rhone, for any tasks in the unfrozen world that
you might need to do. Don't forget, just use Return, and if you've not
saved out there, you'll be right back here at the Shrine!

Now, you want to level up here. A lot. Fight until the monsters don't
seem to be so cheap, maybe even until they appear to just be cheap
cannon-fodder for your sword. The levels'll help, honestly, as we just
need to get through one last area before we've finished! Also, for the
last leg of this journey, you need to make sure you have the EvlStatue
on you, as well as the RubissChm. We can't get through Hargon's Castle
without them!

When you're ready, head west of the Shrine, and north, before traveling
westwards again, making sure you're north of the lake. The land'll curve
to the south, before you have the option of moving east or west. Both
paths will take you to Hargon's Castle, but the west path is faster.
Follow it as it curls south and east, moving north at your first chance
to pass between the mountains and to the center of Rhone, where a castle
sits waiting for us.

This... doesn't look like Hargon's Castle. It looks like your castle,
Lorasia Castle! Everyone's surrendered to Hargon, and stopped their
attempts to defy him. Even the King, your father and a fellow descendant
of Loto, has decided to stick to casino-bunnies, rather than worry about
his kingdom! This isn't right at all. It must all be a trick, an
illusion. Take out the RubissChm. Sure enough, this was all a very
realistic illusion! We can see the true form of Hargon's Castle now.

March straight ahead, and speak to the flame infront of the throne, to
combat two BatDemons! Continue forward, and stand on the second damage-
tile from the left, and face the checked wall before examining it.
You'll unlock the jail door, and you can now enter a corridor of yellow
damaging tiles. Check out the west and east sides of the corridor, to
get a DvlTail and a Devil Armor, respectfully. Now try the center room,
after opening the gold door, and you'll see a room of blue damage tiles,
as well as white tiles that look like a cross. Stand in the center of
the white tiles, and use the EvlStatue, to be teleported inside Hargon's
Castle.

From where you appear, move north and east, to pass between the statues
and reach a set of stairs. Head up them, then go north, west, and south
to a big statue of some armed guardian. Continue south, then move west
and north, to get to the next set of stairs! This isn't so tough so far.
^^ In this next room, just move east, and south when you're able, to
circle clock-wise around the room. After moving north and east, be sure
to heal up before you get close to the room with blue and white tiles.
When you enter it, Atlas'll attack!

Atlas is one of Hargon's three best monsters. You can think of them as
his personal guard. As such, he's tougher than a normal monster, and
gets in two attacks a round! Using Increase on your team, and Defense on
Atlas, isn't a bad idea, and he's usually slow enough so that all three
of your characters can act first in the round. It should only take a
round or two to dispatch Atlas, allowing you to go up the next flight of
stairs.

This area's full of rooms! Skip the room directly above you, and move
west two more rooms, before entering it one you've healed up. Bazuzu,
another of Hargon's best monsters, attacks! Bazuzu is more magically-
oriented than Atlas, and can use Defeat, Firebane, and StopSpell, so
keep this in mind as you're attacking him. He's just as easy as Atlas
was, though, and he should quickly fall to your party. Congratulations!
Now head up the stairs Bazuzu was guarding.

Remember outside how it looked like Hargon's Castle had two towers,
joined at the top by a bridge of some sort? We've reached that bridge!
Head east, and when you're ready, step between the rows of statues, for
Hargon's third monster, Zarlox, to attack! He can attack twice a round
physically, or spew flames to hurt each member of your party. He can
also fall back on the Explodet spell you've probably seen plenty of
times by now since you've entered Rhone. Spells don't seem to affect him
very often, so this fight might last longer than the other two did. When
he's dead, heal up, and go up the no longer defended stairs.

This floor is full of damage-tiles! A Stepguard spell'll take care of
that. Head into the center of the room, where Hargon awaits you on his
throne, ready to see just what your party of Loto's descendants is
capable of! The first thing you should do, is have the Prince of Cannock
cast StopSpell. Yes, the Almighty Hargon isn't wearing his Amulet, and
his spells can be locked rather often. He's certainly not spell-reliant,
though, so don't think he's a pushover! He can strike twice in a round,
or spew flames at your group. He also has the annoying sweet-breath
attack to put your friends asleep! Eventually, when you win, Hargon'll
offer his dying body as a sacrified to Sidoh, Master of Chaos, who he's
been trying to revive.

First, do not move. Nothing happens if you don't move. You can heal
yourself back up, revive the bodies of your fallen combatants, eat some
Herbs and try out some Wizard Rings, whatever you'd like. When you're
ready, try to move down. A flame'll appear to bar your path, and once
you're trapped within three of them, the floor'll be torn up and ruined,
as Sidoh appears to beat you up! This's your true final foe, so go all
out on him! Two castings of Increase and Defense should protect you from
his physical hits, as well as help your fighters deal more damage. Watch
out for his intense flames, as they can do some real harm to each member
of your party. Keep your HP up at all costs, even if it means you need
to not attack him that round. A dead party doesn't fight as well as one
that's still breathing! After a hard fight, Sidoh'll fall...

4Y. End of a Legacy

Items: None

With the defeat of Sidoh, you shall hear the voice of Loto speaking to
you, congratulating you on your victory, and reminding you that you'll
always be looked over. You'll be brought outside of Hargon's Castle, in
time to watch it explode. Begin your journey out of Rhome, and back to
the outside world, and go out to visit the people! ^^

Everyone's happy over Hargon's demise, and over Sidoh's, so go out and
see what each of them're saying! Some people're of more note than
others, of course, or you might just want to finish the game now. Scenes
I've seen that I like're the casino-bunny in Lianport giving the Prince
of Cannock a powder-puff massage too, and learning she speaks french;
convincing Tantegal's King that the world's safe, and being thanked for
the third time heros with Loto's bloodline have saved the world; having
the Princess of Moonbrook speak to her father's spirit, as he passes on
to the next world; the King of Cannock thanking you all, and the Prince
of Cannock's sister teasing him; and of course, becoming best-buds with
the DracoLord's descendant!

Eventually, you'll make your way back to Lorasia Castle. Head to the
throne room, where you can chat with the soldiers, as well as the Prince
of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrook, who giggles and calls you
handsome. Speak to your father, don't shirk your responsibilities, and
accept Lorasia's crown from him. Cue fireworks and the credits! ^^
Congratulations, you beat Dragon Warrior 2!

5I. Experience Table
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This area will show the Experience total you need to get, to achieve
each level, arranged per character. I'll list what your stats are, as
well, excluding ATK and DEF, as these're just a match for your STR and
GRD if you're unequipped. You'll also see what spells you learn at what
levels. I haven't used any of the seed items to get these stats,
these're all your natural ones.
6. Secrets
~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6A. DW1: What's In a Name?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Dragon Warrior 1, your character's name affects their stats. For
instance, a character named Mike will have slightly different starting
stats than PTTs would. I haven't figured out the exact formula yet, but
when I do I'll put it in here. The stat-increases per level should be
the same, though.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6B. DW2: The Wonders of Gambling
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The slot machines in the DW2 world aren't just for fun, you can win some
good items in them! Here's the list of the items you can win, and what
three symbols you need to match up to get it! ^^ Don't forget, this's
the only place I've found where you can get the Gold Card, so good luck!

3 Suns: Jackpot, Gold Card!
3 Stars: Second Prize, Wizard Ring!
3 Moons: Third Prize, Wizard Wand!
3 Waterdrops: Fourth Prize, Amulet!
3 Hearts: Fifth Prize, Warp Wing!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
6C. DW2: Chance Spell
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Chance spell is learned pretty late in the game, and it's mostly
used for fun by the time you do get it. The effects are random, but
might pull you out of a bad situation anyways. Here're the effects I've
found so far.

Chance functions as:
  A confusion attack, targeting all monsters.
  A Defeat spell, targeting all monsters.
  A Defense spell.
  A Heal spell, targeting all party-members.
  An Increase spell.
  A Sleep spell, targeting all monsters.
  A summon for an incredibly vile being. Your party-members will freeze
     in terror, and the monsters will flee.

6D. DW2: Name Change
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This little secret was sent in by Al Amaloo, originally discovered by
Marcus Dion, and I've personally tried it to verify it. ^^ I like the
names the game gave me for the Prince and Princess, but you might not,
so here it is!
Renaming The Prince of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrook:
To rename these two party members to a name of your choosing, within 4
character limits, save your game and choose to rest. Resume the Dragon
Warrior II game, and enter the "Continue/New Game/Option" menu. Choose
"Continue" to where it shows your log files. Place the arrow next to the
This section is for the people I think have contributed important
information I don't already have in my guide, or helped out in any small
worthwhile way. ^^ Thanks guys!
Marcus Dion ([email protected]) gets some thanks for the information
he sent about Kol and the Tunnel Cave. He backed up my information, and
he presented it in such a way, that I wonder why he hasn't made his own
guide yet; it was just that dang good. ^^ He's also the one who found
the name-changing code for Dragon Warrior 2, as well as verifying some
other things for me, like spell, town, and item information.
Al Amaloo ([email protected]) pointed out the name-changing
code for Dragon Warrior 2, that Marcus Dion wrote, as well as always
being the first to ask permission for every guide I make. Thanks for
everything you've done!
Chris Wallace ([email protected]) helped out by double-checking some
equipment and towns for me in Dragon Warrior 2! ^^
[email protected] is a fellow Metaly hunter, for the Dragon Warrior 2
world, and helped me confirm the HP, EXP, and Gold won from fighting
one.
Jason Chan ([email protected]) found out about how to use the Dragon
guarding Princess Lora in DW1 to level up quickly. It definitely let me
go back through the game to test things out faster, so thank you very
much Jason! ^^
Amanda ([email protected]) told me that the townspeople of Alefgard
believe too much in rumors, and that Loto's Sword isn't the only weapon
that can harm the DracoLord. Bamboo Sticks don't do so bad, either. ^^
[email protected] beat up the DracoLord without Loto's Sword too.
Simon Oh ([email protected]) helped me find a STRseed in Lianport.
[email protected] confirmed the STRseed discovery. I wish there were
more of these to be found!
Kurt Reonis ([email protected]) pointed out the fun facts about groupies
in Tantegal's Inn. Thanks!
Eddy Hartanto ([email protected]) gave even more information,
both about groupies, and about promiscuous Princesses. Why pick one when
you can have both? >"<
[email protected] helped confirm some end of the game information.
[email protected] helped me clear up some confusion I temporarily had
with LoraLuv-directions in my sentences. Mess up the wording, and you
could send someone all the way to the other side of Alefgard. ^^;;
Mike Davis ([email protected]) confirmed where to find the Bolt Wand, and
how to get the Water Robe.
Apostrophe ([email protected]) helped find the elusive Choker in
DW1! Good work! ^^
