I. Introduction
============================================================================
Hello and welcome to my 4th FAQ. It is for the Classic "Point and Click"
Adventure, Deja Vu for the Game Boy Color. This game is a remake of a game
series for the Nintendo Entertainment System and DOS. But that's not all, not
only does it include the original game, Deja Vu, it contains the unreleased
for NES sequel, Deja Vu II: Lost in Los Vegas.

Inventory
---------
The Inventory screen is below the main game screen. It is divided in different
categories.

Address: This is where you keep the addresses you find from objects. It goes
to this screen automatically when you talk to a Cabbie.

Inside an Item: Accessed when you open a drawer or item. Shows you any items
that are inside.
NOTE: You cannot use any item when it is inside of an item. Use the "Pick Up"
action to put the Item in the "Goods" category to use it.

Goods: Your main inventory, where the items that you pick up go to.

---
Map
---
The Map shows the enterances and exits of a room, which are represented by a
red square. You can do actions on the map.
For example: If you want to open a door, you can select the Open action and
choose the red square for that door.

V. Casebook 1 Walkthrough: Deja Vu
============================================================================
--------------
Washroom Stall
--------------
You wake up in a very dirty bathroom stall, your right hand is covered in
blood, and you're feeling a sharp pain on your forearm which means you've been
injected with something. But the worst part is... You have no idea about who
or where you are!

But enough about that, after your character is done talking, grab the COAT in
front of you. Grab the Gun (.38) behind it too. Open the COAT, pick up the
coins, and open the wallet. Pick up KEY1, CARD, $20-BILL inside it. Now open
the door in front of you and walk out into the Men's Bathroom.

--------------
Men's Washroom
--------------
Look at the Mirror, you still can't remember who you are! Open the Door and
walk out to the hall.

-------
Hallway
-------
Don't bother going into the door with the water under it. It's just the
Women's Washroom, there's nothing in it. Instead, go open the other door and
go inside it to the front of this building

------------------
Joe's Place: Lobby
------------------
Hmmm... So this is a restaraunt called "Joe's Place". Go up the stairs

-----------------------------------------
Joe's Place: In front of the Private Room
-----------------------------------------
In front of the door to the Private Room, you will reel from an intense pain!
You need to get your memory back, and fast!

Don't worry about that right now. One of the posters in this hall is a poster
of some boxer you might know. His name is Ace Harding. Open the door and walk
in.

-------------------------------
Joe's Place: Secretary's Office
-------------------------------
Open the Desk, then open ENVELOPE1, and pick up the BILL. Look at the BILL to
get a new address, SHERMAN, where Dr. Brody's Pharmacy is. Unlock the door to
the left using KEY1, which you should've gotten from the wallet, and go inside
the Private Office.

---------------------------
Joe's Place: Private Office
---------------------------
AAHHHH!!! A Dead body riddled with bullets! He looks familiar, but of course,
you can't remember who the heck he is.

Anyway, open the dead body, and take KEY2 from him. Then, open the Desk the
body is slumped over on. Take the PENCIL and KEY3. Don't worry about the safe
yet, you can't open it. There's nothing to do here for now, so go back to the
Lobby

------------------
Joe's Place: Lobby
------------------
Open the Door to the Upper-Left, and go in it.

------------------------
Joe's Place: Wine Cellar
------------------------
One of the Bottles on the Wine Rack is clean. Punch the lone Bottle on the
right side to reveal a Secret Passage! Go into it.

---------------------------
Joe's Place: Secret Passage
---------------------------
Open the door to the left to find yourself in a...

-------------------
Joe's Place: Casino
-------------------
Luckily, the left Slot Machine still works, so use a COIN on it. Keep playing
it until you get over 35 coins total. You'll need all these coins for later.
Walk to the South (Using your map) to find yourself in front of an elevator.
Punch the button and walk into the elevator.

Hmmmmm... 4 Floors, I thought that there was only 3 floors. Go up to the 4th
Floor by punching the 4th button, to find yourself in...

-------------------------
Joe's Place: Torture Room
-------------------------
Wow, I'd hate to wonder what this room was used for.

Open the Green Trashcan by the Chair and pick up the Capsules inside. Look at
the Capsules near the Window if you want. After you're done here, take the
elevator to the Private Office (3rd button from the Bottom). Then go to the
Lobby. Do NOT exit Joe's Place using the Fire Escape outside the windows.

------------------
Joe's Place: Lobby
------------------
Unlock the Front door using KEY3. Walk out the door.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Here's a Small Map of Peoria St.:
YC: Yellow Cab
BC: Blue Cab
(): Random Event

YC--BC--Gun Shop--(Bum)--Newspaper Stand--Joe's Place--(Woman)--Police

There's a Mugger that roams around Peoria St. If you see him, punch him
quickly, or else he'll shoot you. This can only be done 3 times, then he'll
never appear again. There's another Mugger that roams the Alleyway next to
Joe's Place. You must give him your $20-BILL if you see him or he'll knock you
out. To avoid the second Mugger, just stay out of the alleyway (You don't need
to go there anyways).

Open the Front Car door with KEY2. Go inside the car and open the Glove
Compartment. Pick up the MAP, NOTE2, SNAPSHOT inside. Look at NOTE2 to get
another address, WESTEND. Look at the Map to get the address of where you are
now, PEORIA. The Map says that a Mrs. Sternwood is in the Trunk, and it's
giving instructions to "Ace". Then pick up the MAP, NOTE2, and SNAPSHOT from
the Glove Compartment. Don't touch anything else and leave the car. Use the
Lower-left exit (on the Map) to find yourself in front of a Newspaper stand.

You don't need to buy a Newspaper, it just mentions that the Japanese have
bombed Pearl Harbor and the Newspaper Boy tells you that the cops are looking
for a man that looks like you. Walk down the lower-left exit.

Sometimes a Bum will be in front of you, wanting money. You don't need to give
him the money, but if you do, he'll tell you that Joey's hitman has been
wondering around your office. Exit using the Lower-Left path.

You are now in front of Pete's Gun Shop. You don't need to go in, but if you
do and you buy a gun or bullets from Pete, make sure to load it outside or
else Pete will shoot you. When you are done here, just exit at the Lower-left.

Now you are in front of a Blue Cab. Walk into it and talk to the Cabby. Choose
to go to WESTEND. Make sure to pay the Cabbie before you leave.

------------
West End St.
------------
You are in front of a fancy apartment building. Open the door and go inside it.

--------------------
Stanford Arms: Lobby
--------------------
Use the CARD in the Card Slot next to the Elevator. Walk into the elevator and
use the CARD in the Card Slot. After the Elevator stops, walk out of it.

----------------
Penthouse Siegel
----------------
Swanky, isn't it? Take the PHOTO sitting on top of the Fireplace. Look at the
PHOTO to get a new address, KEDZIE. Who's that Brunette in the picture? Oh
well, there's nothing else to do here, so leave via the Elevator. Get in the
Cab and go to KEDZIE street. Maybe we'll find something out about Joey Siegel.
Once again, don't forget to pay the Cabbie before you leave.

----------
Kedzie St.
----------
You are now in front of a run-down bungalow. Because none of our keys will
work in this lock, I guess your only choice is to shoot the lock with
your .38! Walk into the Bungalow after you blast the lock.

------------------------
Martha Vickers' Bungalow
------------------------
Hmmm... The perfume in here smells an awful like the perfume in the
Secretary's Office back at Joe's Place.

Anyways, pick up NOTE3 and NOTE4 on top of the nightstand, hmmm... both papers
sound like a combination to a safe. Open the Nightstand drawer. Pick up KEY5
and the DIARY inside of it. Open the DIARY and grab the BOOKMARK. Look at the
DIARY. Apparently, Ms. Vickers dated Joey Siegel, then started seeing a
married man, John Sternwood, Vickers talks about getting rid of Mrs.
Sternwood. There's nothing else to do here, so let's go to Dr. Brody's
pharmacy. Take the Cab to SHERMAN Street.

-----------
Sherman St.
-----------
Open the door to the Office Building. Walk in.

---------------
Office Building
---------------
Walk down the hall with the sign.

--------------------
Dr. Brody's Pharmacy
--------------------
Unlock the Front door with KEY5 and go in. The File Cabinet is locked, and
since we don't have a key for it, we'll have to open it the hard way, by using
our .38 gun. There are 4 files inside it. FILE1 says that Ace Harding should
quit smoking. FILE2 says that something was ordered by Martha Vickers. FILE3
talks about the symptoms of diseases. FILE4 talks about medicines to cure
diseases.

Ofreeall: Used to cure Heart Murmurs, can be fatal.
Medrezine: Used to treat exposure to Nerve Gas, can be fatal.
Diethanol Trimene: Can cause permanent Memory loss if not countered.
Sodium Bicarbonate: Can induce a state of Euphoria.
Chemopapain: Induces gleeful Euphoria.
Sodium Pentathol: Makes the person tell the truth when they're unconscious.
Bisodiumitis: Antidote to Diethanol Trimene, more than one dose necessary.

There was an empty bottle of Diethanol Trimene back at the Torture room, maybe
that's what you were drugged with! There's some BISODIUMITIS here, in the
wide, brown, bottles, called MEDS6. Use MEDS6 in the CAPSULES, then use the
CAPSULES on yourself to slowly regain your memory. Make sure to use all three
bottles.

Your memories come back, first you remember Father O'Malley from Boarding
School. Then remember Taco, your errr... Favorite pet dog, who sent you to the
hospital for stitches. Then, you remember Suzy Q, your childhood crush, who
gave you your first kiss. Finally, you remember your name, it's... Ace
Harding, Private Eye! After these scenes, grab 3 bottles of the Sodium
Pentathol (MEDS1), it might come in handy in case we want somebody to tell the
truth. It's called MEDS1 and it's in the 3 dark blue bottles.

Go back to the main hallway of the Office Building.

---------------
Office Building
---------------
Go up the stairs this time.

--------------------
Ace Harding's Office
--------------------
Uh Oh, someone's in your office. Remember the Bum said that Joey's Hitman
would be waiting in your office? This must be the man. Shoot the window of the
door with your .38 to kill the Hitman. Then unlock the door with KEY 5 and go
in your office.

Open the desk and the AMMOCASE inside it. Pick up the 6 BULLET1 inside it.
Open the File Cabinet and pick up FILE5, FILE6, and FILE7. Look at all three
Files. FILE5 is apparently from Joey Siegel, he wants you to do a kidnapping
of a wealthy woman, then your gambling debt would be paid off. FILE6 says that
someone named Sugar Shack has a hatred for Joey Siegel. FILE7 is a newspaper
clipping that talks about how you exposed Sugar Shack's blackmailing scheme,
and sent her up the river for 5 years. There's nothing else to do here, so
let's open that safe in Joe's Place at PEORIA street. Go to the Cab and take
it to PEORIA St.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Here's the map again:
YC: Yellow Cab
BC: Blue Cab
(): Random Event

YC--BC--Gun Shop--(Bum)--Newspaper Stand--Joe's Place--(Woman)--Police

Go back to Joe's Place and into the Private Office with the Safe.

---------------------------
Joe's Place: Private Office
---------------------------
Use NOTE3 on the Safe. Open the FOLDER inside. Pick up NOTE1 and look at it.
Hmmm... it says that Ace Harding owes Joey Siegel $1,000. Now open the BOX in
the Safe and take KEY4. Go outside of Joe's Place.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Walk to the Trunk of the car in front. Open the Trunk using KEY4. There's Mrs.
Sternwood tied up in the Trunk! She's unconcious, so pick up the GAG that's on
her mouth. Use the MEDS1 (The SODIUM PENTATHOL) in the CAPSULES, then use the
CAPSULES on Mrs. Sternwood (All it takes is one dose). Mrs. Sternwood tells
you her address, which is on AUBURN road. It will be added to your address
inventory. Go to the Cab and tell the Cabbie to go to AUBURN.

-----------
Auburn Road
-----------
Wow. That's a big mansion.

Open the mailbox, and open ENVELOPE2. Pick up LETTER1. It is a ransom note to
Mr. Sternwood. Walk up to the front door of the mansion.

-----------------
Sternwood Mansion
-----------------
Use that Gigantic knocker on the door. When the Butler comes, punch him. Now
go up the stairs. Open the door to the right and go in it.

Good, Mr. Sternwood is in a deep sleep, so open the Table next to his bed.
Open ENVELOPE3 and pick up LETTER2 inside it. It's a letter from Joey
apparently, warning Sternwood to stay away from Martha Vickers or something
will happen to Mrs. Sternwood. Go into the next room.

Martha Vickers is also in a deep sleep. Open the Table next to her bed and
take the MEMO inside it. Use the PENCIL on the MEMO to make it readable. Read
the MEMO. It is actually a timetable, it talks about Martha Vicker's plan to
frame you for the murder of Joey and the kidnapping of Mrs. Sternwood!

Before you leave, maybe you should find out more information from Vickers and
Sternwood. They're both asleep, so Pentathol (MEDS1) should work on both of
them! Give it to Vickers and she will talk about "breaking up" with Joey. Give
it to Sternwood and he will talk about the Timetable and their plan. Now you
should leave. Go back to PEORIA street, we've got some evidence to get rid of.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Here's the map of Peoria St. again, just in case you missed the last two:
YC: Yellow Cab
BC: Blue Cab
(): Random Event

YC--BC--Gun Shop--(Bum)--Newspaper Stand--Joe's Place--(Woman)--Police

Go into Joe's Place, then go into the secret passage.

---------------------------
Joe's Place: Secret passage
---------------------------
Go down the ladder to end up in...

--------------
Chicago Sewers
--------------
From where you are, take the Lower-right exit, then the bottom exit. You will
end up at a whirlpool. Discard the Following items in the Whirlpool:
38 (The Murder Weapon)
Note1 (Gives you a fake motive for the Murder)
File5 (Gives you a fake motive for the kidnapping)
Map (Makes it look like you kidnapped Mrs. Sternwood)

After you discard those items, use the top exit. At the 4-path room, take the
left path, go up the ladder, open the Manhole and leave.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Now it's time to go to the Cops, but first, you must have these items:
Memo (The plan for your set up)
Diary (Shows a motive for Martha Vickers)
Letter1 (Shows that Vickers and Mr. Sternwood went through with her plan)

When you have those items, use the lower-right exit. Sometimes, Sugar Shack
will be here. If you remember, you sent her to prison, so she hates you along
with Joey. She says she wired Joey's car with explosives. If you see her, just
Punch her before she shoots you, take her HANDBAG, and continue to the Police
Station. When you are there, open the door and watch the ending (If you got
all of the evidence and dumped all of the fake evidence , you should get the
good ending).

VI. Casebook 2 Walkthrough: Deja Vu II
============================================================================
Chicago: Two men carelessly drop a third man into a trunk of a car and drive
off. Of course, the third man is you.

--------------------------
Lucky Dice Hotel: Bathroom
--------------------------
You wake up in... a bathroom (suprise, suprise) in some Las Vegas hotel.
Luckily, this time you remember who you are, Ace Harding, Private Eye!
Apparently, Joey Siegel (Played by The Dead Guy in Deja Vu) was working for a
big-time mob boss, Tony Malone, in Las Vegas, and before Joey died, over
$119,000 of the Mob's money disappeared. They figured that Joey took the
money, but they couldn't find it. So they figured that you had it, since you
and Joey used to deal with each other. So, you have to find the money and who
really took it.

But enough about that. First, pick up the TRENCH COAT and PANTS hanging up on
the door. You're naked right now (literally), so Use the TRENCH COAT and PANTS
on yourself. Open the PANTS, pick up KEY 1. Now open the WALLET1 inside your
PANTS and take 25 CENTS, and the 12 DOLLAR inside it. Look at NEWSCLIP1 to add
a new address, good old PEORIA street. Now open NEWSCLIP1 and pick up the
NEWSCLIP2 inside it. Now look at LICENSE1 to get a new address, your apartment
at ADISON (It even has Ace's real name on it). There's nothing else to do
here, so open the door and walk into the hotel room.

----------------------------
Lucky Dice Hotel: Hotel Room
----------------------------
When you enter, you will be confronted by Stogie, the mob hitman who's keeping
an eye on you. You will see Stogie many times throughout the game, mainly to
warn you that you are running out of time. Grab the CIGAR RING1 Stogie
dropped. Look at the paper on top of the dresser to get a new address, the
Chicago Train station (CHICAGO). Open the door behind you (Open the bottom-
left red square on the map). Walk out into the hotel hallway.

---------------------------
Lucky Dice Hotel: 1st Floor
---------------------------
Open the big door marked CASINO and walk into the Casino. Use the bottom left
exit to end up in front of a Cashier. Buy 2 chips from her by using your $12
on her then choosing how many chips you want. Walk through the left exit to
get in front of a Blackjack dealer. We're going to need to earn some big money
to survive in this world, and Blackjack is the only way to do this. Now there
are two ways we can do this, the easy way, or the hard way. If you don't know
how to play Blackjack, then talk to the dealer.

THE HARD WAY
------------
I suggest saving before doing this. Give the dealer the CHIPS and you'll start
playing. You'll need A LOT of luck to win this way. Good luck... (cue the evil
laugh)

THE EASY WAY
------------
Before playing him, use NEWSCLIP2 on the Dealer. It turns out that the dealer
was your old sparring partner Rudy! I suggest saving here. Afterwords, give
him the chips and you will win almost every round of the game, thanks to Rudy.
When you get enough, make sure you bet the maximum amount of chips (10 Chips)
and you'll have big money with no problems. Just keep playing against him
until he tells you that his boss is watching him (Which is around 200 Chips,
although I think that you can continue playing against him as much as you
want).

If you lose all your CHIPS playing Blackjack and you didn't save, the only way
to get more money is to wonder around the desert until it says that you found
a $10 bill.

After you are done getting money, give the CHIPS to the Cashier (Yes, all of
them). Now walk into the main room of the Casino and Open the door at the
bottom of the Map, now walk out of the Lucky Dice Hotel.

-----------------
Las Vegas Streets
-----------------
As with Peoria St., this street has multiple buildings that you can enter. Here
is a map of Las Vegas:
Anywhere outside this map is desert. The two Deserts in this map have tire
tracks running through them, .

Reliant Cleaners--Desert--Desert--Lucky Dice Hotel--Train Station

This place is mostly desert with only three useful buildings, the Lucky Dice
Hotel, the Train Station, and the Laundromat. Oh yeah, if you wander around in
the desert too long, you will die. Have Fun!

For right now, you should be in front of the Lucky Dice Hotel. Use the left
exit to end up in front of the Las Vegas train station. Open the door and walk
in.

-----------------------
Las Vegas Train Station
-----------------------
The guy sitting on the bench here says that he can help you later on. For
right now, walk to the Baggage claim. There's a sign next to the "Check your
baggage here" sign, it is the schedule of the trains. The only place you can
go is Chicago (CHG), so if the status for CHG says INBOUND or BOARDING, then
that train is available for you to go on (You'll probably want to wait for an
INBOUND train, so you'll have more time to pay the Conductor on the Train).
Take note of the track number too. Go back to the Lobby.

The Las Vegas Train Station's tracks are laid out like this
7  8
6    9
Go to the track that the boarding sign said to go to and go on the train.

A Conductor will approach you. He says that you can buy a ticket from him. Use
the Money you have on him. Do it quickly, otherwise he will kick you off the
train. When on the Train, just look around until the train leaves.

---------------------
Chigago Train Station
---------------------
When the train arrives, go into the lobby. Buy a newspaper from the Blind Man
and look at the NEWSCLIP3 or 4 you get (It doesn't matter which one). Look at
it. Apparently, a local mobster was slain, he supposedly had connections to
Joey Siegel, the body of the mobster resides at the City Morgue, this will add
a new address, MORGUE. Open the door behind you and walk out of it.

Enter the Taxi Cab. Hey! It's your old friend, Gabby the Cabby! He's near
deaf, and you've had to help him out a few times. So, he gives you FREE CAB
RIDES (Cheer)! Oh well, enough about Gabby, let's get back to the case. The
first place to check out would be your apartment, after all, there has to be
something useful there. Tell Gabby to go to ADISON. When he gets there, leave
the cab.

----------
W. Addison
----------
Welcome to your err... home! Open and walk into the apartment building.

---------
Your Home
---------
You'll be in a hall. Unlock the door at the top with KEY 1 and walk in.

Apparently, Stogie Martin was here before you. Pick up the CIGAR RING2 on the
ground and the FLASHLIGHT next to it. Pick up and Open the COAT hanging on the
Deer Head. Pick up the GUN and money inside it. Open the drawer that's on the
ground (Even though it is already open). Pick up the KNIFE. Open BOX1 and
pickup all the bullets inside it. Use the BULLETS on the GUN. Now go back into
Gabby's cab.

When you walked into your home, you thought Joe's Place would be a great place
to search. So tell Gabby to go to PEORIA.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Ah... Joe's Place... The memories... In fact, this is the only place you can
go to on Peoria St. Also, the Muggers won't appear, looks like the cops
finally arrested them. And finally, the sewers are closed because of reports
of alligators.

Go into the alley next to the front door. Walk up the Fire Escape and punch
the board on the window and walk in it.

---------------------------
Joe's Place: Private Office
---------------------------
Ahh... more memories. Open the Telephone and pick up KEY4. If you want to know
Ace's reaction to Joey's murder, you can look at Joey's desk. Go back to the
Alley.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
Use the bottom-left exit on the map to end up at the back of the alley. The
door is locked, so there are two ways to open the door. One way is to use your
GUN on the door, another way is to use the KNIFE. Walk in.

-----------
Joe's Place
-----------
Woah it's dark in here. Luckily, we have a FLASHLIGHT to light things up! Use
the FLASHLIGHT on yourself to turn it on. Be quick, because the FLASHLIGHT
battery is limited, so be quick. If the battery dies, then you will need to go
all the way to the Las Vegas Train Station, talk to the guy on the bench, who
is now selling BULLETS and BATTERIES. After turning on the FLASHLIGHT, walk
into the door that is not boarded up.

If you remember from the last game, there was a secret passage, maybe we might
find out something in there. In the main lobby, Open and walk into the upper-
left door. You should be in the Cellar. Punch the bottle to the right to open
the secret passage and go in it. Open the door on the left and go into the
Casino. In the last game, the slot machine on the right didn't work. Maybe
there's a reason for that. Use KEY4 on the Slot machine to open it. Pick up
and Look at the CARD inside the Slot Machine to get a new address, Sugar
Shack's (Played by Mysterious Woman with Gun in Deja Vu) apartment at COTTAGE.
Pick up the Diary, open it, and look at it. It is a list of payments from
Joey. One name of interest in "NO.0", which appears only four times, making
payments worth $24,000, $27,000, $32,000, and $29,000, which adds up to
$119,000! There's nothing else for us to do here, so exit the same way you
came into Joe's Place. Make sure to turn off the FLASHLIGHT when you get out
of Joe's Place.

----------
Peoria St.
----------
When you get out of Joe's Place, get into Gabby's Cab and tell him that you
want to go to COTTAGE.

----------
S. Cottage
----------
Don't bother the Bum, he won't move no matter what you do. The door you want
is down the stairs. It's locked, so you'll have to unlock it the old-fashioned
way, or in other words, using the GUN or opening your KNIFE and using it on
the door.

-----------------------
Sugar Shack's Apartment
-----------------------
What a mess! Open the Closet and grab the UNIFORM and VACCUM. Open the VACCUM
and cut the BAG inside with the KNIFE. Open the ENVELOPE3 inside it and pick
up the LETTER3. Apparently, Sgt. McMurphy was the bagman for Joey Siegel's
payoffs to the police. A thug with a scar was also involved. Maybe it was
McMurphy or the Thug who took the $119,000! Strange, the newspaper on the bed
has an obituary cut out. Oh well, don't worry about that, it's time to go to
the MORGUE, so go back out to Gabby and tell him where to take you. Don't get
out of his cab when you get there just yet.

------
Morgue
------
Before you get out of the Cab, take off the TRENCH COAT and PANTS. Use the
UNIFORM on yourself. Now get out of the Cab.

Open the door and go into the Morgue.

Open the gate first and then open the back door. In the back room, open drawer
2 and take the NAMETAG2 off the guy's feet. Go to the Lobby and give the
NAMETAG2 to the clerk. Open the box he gives you. Take KEY5 and Open WALLET2.
Pick up the money and the CLAIM TICKET inside it. Now leave the Morgue and
tell Gabby to go to the Chicago Train Station. Before getting out of the car,
take off the UNIFORM and put on the TRENCH COAT and PANTS.

---------------------
Chicago Train Station
---------------------
Go inside it. This time, you want a train to Las Vegas, so check the Train
Schedule board above the Newspaper stand. Chicago Station's track layout is
like this:
3  4
2    5

Find out the Track number of the Las Vegas (LV) train and go to it. Go inside
it, pay the Conductor, and wait for the train to arrive in Las Vegas.

-----------------------
Las Vegas Train Station
-----------------------
Go to the Baggage Claim and give the CLAIM TICKET to the clerk. Open the
Suitcase he puts out and open the LAUNDRY2 inside. Now here's some interesting
stuff! The PHOTO is of Joey Siegel and some guy named "D.V." shaking hands in
front of a Laundromat, "Reliant Cleaners". Pick up the PHOTO and open
ENVELOPE1. Pick up LETTER1 inside. It's addressed to Anthony Malone, so maybe
Anthony Malone wants to start up his own operation using the stolen $119,000.
Go to the Lucky Dice Hotel.

----------------
Lucky Dice Hotel
----------------
Go to the First Floor Hallway. Open the Elevator door and go inside it. When
inside the elevator, push the button for the third floor. When the elevator
stops, get out.

Welcome to the third floor. The biggest thing that's different here is the
white Laundry Cart. It says "Reliant Cleaners" on the side. Open the Hamper
and walk into it. When inside the Hamper, close the lid and look around. Now
we wait. When the Hamper stops moving, you will end up at...

--------------------------
Reliant Cleaners: Basement
--------------------------
The Cart will open up. Two men (Moose and Spike) will frisk you and take some
important stuff. Mainly, the letter you got from the suitcase. They said that
they will take it to their boss. After their conversation, you will find
yourself tied up. Notice how that crate has some nails sticking out? Use the
Crate on your hands and you will be free! Well, sort of. First, we'll need to
send those thugs on a wild goose chase! Go up the stairs. You should be in the
lobby now. Open the Front door (Glass door), and head back into the Basement
(The door in the back that's open). In the Basement, get back into the Laundry
Cart. Look around until the two thugs come. They'll soon leave, thinking that
you escaped, but they can't decide who should tell the boss. After they leave,
get out of the cart. You are now free to explore this place! Go up the stairs
again.

---------------------------
Reliant Cleaners: 1st Floor
---------------------------
Open the Counter door, then open the door behind the counter. Now go into the
office.

Hey, there's a photo of the guy on the desk! Look at the photo and you will
read the writing on it, and realize that D.V. is Anthony Malone's right-hand
man, Danny Vertini! Pick up the Photo (STAND). Open the desk and open the BOX3
inside it. Take the BUTTON inside. Hmmm... it's a magnet that looks like a
button. Remember in the hotel elevator there was a empty space above the 3rd
floor button? Maybe the BUTTON goes onto the empty spot. Leave Reliant
Cleaners.

-----------------
Las Vegas Streets
-----------------
Here's the Map again:

Reliant Cleaners--Desert--Desert--Lucky Dice Hotel--Train Station

From the front of Reliant Cleaners, use the right exit. You will be in the
desert. Go right again. More desert. Go right again and you will end up at the
Lucky Dice Hotel. Go inside it.

---------------------------
Lucky Dice Hotel: 1st Floor
---------------------------
Go into the elevator in the hallway. When inside, use the BUTTON on the Panel.
The elevator will close automatically and take you to the secret fourth floor!
When the elevator stops, get out.

---------------------------
Lucky Dice Hotel: 4th Floor
---------------------------
When you get here, you will see two doors. The one on the left is Danny
Ventini's office. The one on the right is the big boss' office, Anthony
Malone. Since we're looking for information about Ventini, let's search his
office.

First, punch the Paperweight sitting on the desk, then pick up the DART it
makes. Now open the desk. Pick up KEY6 and RECORD1 inside it. Open RECORD1.
It's a book of payments made by the mob operations across the country. Only
something is different, Courier NO.0 is missing! Danny Vertini must have been
the one who stole the money! Maybe we need to search Reliable Cleaners again,
espescially that suspicious looking dartboard. Go back to the Elevator, pick
up the BUTTON, and go to the 1st floor. Exit the hotel.

-----------------
Las Vegas Streets
-----------------
Uh-oh, Someone locked the front door, but no problem, for we have the key to
the Chute! Use KEY6 on the Chute enterance. Go inside it.

----------------
Reliant Cleaners
----------------
Go up the stairs. At the 1st floor, go into Ventini's office. In Ventini's
office, use the DART on the Dartboard to open a secret passage! Go inside it.

Hey, a secret office! Open the Desk and take all your items back! Now it's
time to take revenge and start a good old-fashioned gang war! First, leave one
of the CIGAR RINGS on the desk, so Ventini will think that Stogie was here.
Now, leave the Cleaners via the front door. When you get out, go to the Lucky
Dice Hotel.

----------------
Lucky Dice Hotel
----------------
Go up to the 4th floor. When up there, enter the room on the right. Now it's
time to tip off Anthony Malone about Ventini! Open the desk. ONLY discard the
following items in the Desk:
Diary
Letter1
Letter3

After you finish, it's time to get out of town! Start by going to the
elevator, taking the BUTTON, and going to the first floor. Now leave the Lucky
Dice Hotel.

-----------------
Las Vegas Streets
-----------------
There are two ways to get out of town, the costly way, and the free way.

COSTLY WAY
----------
Go to the Train Station and simply take any train out of town.

FREE WAY
--------
Don't have enough money or time for the train? When you get out of the Hotel,
keep using the bottom exit until you get a message saying that you were not
followed and that your plan worked!

It doesn't matter how you get out, you will get the same ending. So enjoy the
ending to Deja Vu I&II!

VII. FAQ
============================================================================
-------
Deja Vu
-------
Q: How many Muggers are there on Peoria St.?
A: There are two types of muggers on Peoria St.:

Mugger: Has hair and a gun. Will shoot you if you don't give him the money.
Can be stopped by Punching him, do it three times and he'll never appear
again. He can appear anywhere in Peoria.

Thug: Big, bald, and unarmed. You're probably wondering why I didn't want you
to leave the Torture Room via the Fire Escape. This guy is the reason. When
you get enter the alley next to Joe's Place, the Thug has a chance of
appearing. Even though he doesn't have a gun (he uses his fists), he is still
more dangerous than the other Mugger. The reason why is because there is no
way to stop him without losing your money. That's right, the only way to stop
him is to give him your $20-BILL. If you Punch him or wait too long, he will
knock you out. When you wake up, you will find that he took ALL of your money,
even your COINS! To avoid him, stay away from the alleyway next to Joe's Place.

Q: The Mugger got my $20-BILL! How do I get another one?
A: Find Sugar Shack on the path to the police station. When you see her, punch
her out and take her HANDBAG. It should have an extra $20 bill and a HANDGUN
in it.

Q: What's the difference between the Yellow Cab and the Blue Cab?
A: There's no difference except for the location.

Q: Why can't I leave the Men's Washroom at Joe's Place?
A: Before leaving, you need to look in the mirror. After the scene, you can
leave.

Q: Why didn't you list the Cheat for the free cab rides?
A: It doesn't work. I've tried it. It probably works in some other versions of
the game.

Q: Can I kill anybody in the game?
A: Yeah, you can shoot anybody, but not without consequences. The only time
that you can shoot someone without getting arrested and/or killed is when you
shoot the hitman that is waiting in your office.

----------
Deja Vu II
----------
Q: At the Lucky Dice Hotel, why does the Bouncer make me go back into my room
when I come out?
A: You forgot to put your PANTS and TRENCH COAT on. You can't walk around
naked or else you might get arrested.

Q: I lost all my money playing Blackjack! How can I get some more money?
A: The only way to get more money is to wander around the desert until it says
that you found a $10 bill, then you can continue playing Blackjack.

Q: Why aren't the Train or Laundry Cart events happening?
A: In order for time to pass while waiting for the train or laundry cart to
move, you must do some actions. The best way is just to use the same command
repeatedly.

Q: Why does Stogie or the two thugs (Moose and Spike) show up to kill me near
the end?
A: You most likely visited Anthony Malone's office or Danny Vertini's secret
office twice. Once you leave either office, you cannot go back or else the
thugs or
Stogie will kill you, so make sure you did everything you needed to do there.

Q: Why doesn't the ending show up? I put all the items in Malone's desk!
A: You must put ONLY those items in the desk, no more than those three items.

Q: Can I go to Los Angeles or the Nordic Shoe Factory?
A: No, if you try to take a train to LA, Stogie will kill you. And the Nordic
Shoe Factory was probably just thrown in as a red herring.

-----------------
General Questions
-----------------
Q: What's the differance between this version and the Pocket PC Version?
A: From what i've heard, there's the obvious (better graphics, sound) for the
Pocket PC Version, there are others:
- The actions are now represented by words
- The Inventory items are now represented by pictures
- There is now an alligator wandering around the sewers, you shoot him to get
him away.
- The Police can now arrest you while walking on Peoria St.
- The Thug takes your Gun along with your money.
- The Cab driver can take your $20-BILL and not give you change.
- The Bum now takes $20 instead of 50 cents.

IX. Closing
============================================================================
And so ends my 4th FAQ. This game is an excellent remake of the two games. I
suggest picking up this remake or the Pocket PC remake (Which sports better
graphics). Either way, it is the best point-and-click adventure for the Game
Boy Color (It's also one of the only one, but that's beside the point).
There's also Shadowgate, which mixes a point-and-click interface with a
Fantasy storyline.
You can learn more about them at: http://www.aceharding.com
