In this FAQ I have typed up every piece of dialogue and story related text that
appears in Asterix and Obelix for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The
text is exactly as it appears in the game except it's not all capitals.

* Prologue *

The year is 50 BC. Gaul
is entirely occupied by
the Romans. Well, not
entirely.
One small village of
indomitable Gauls still
holds out against the
invaders.
To keep them prisoner
Caesar has had an
immense palisade built
around the village.
Asterix and Obelix
decide to prove to
Caesar that they can go
wherever the please.
They will travel the
Roman Empire and bring a
souvenir back from
every country they cross.

Britannia
What a downer!
There's going to be
a rugby match
between Britain and
Rome, and Caesar has
locked up our best
players. It would be
great if you could
come and free them
and join in the game

After freeing the Rugby players.
Keep our rugby ball
as a souvenir.

The Romans are
causing trouble in
our country. My
friend Zurix, the

disappeared and we
are very worried.

intensive training,

As the winners of
our Olympic Games
you have earned
these laurels.
Egyptia
Cleopatra has
ordered Edifis
to build a palace
within three months
to show Caesar that
her people are not
decadent. Three
months? It's not
long. We really need
your help.

After defeating the Romans at the Pyramid.

Take this gold
pyramid.
Hispania
The Romans have
made my father,
Huevos Y Bacon drink
poison and will
force him to take
part in a bullfight,
you'll have to take
his place in the
arena.

Hey, amigos, how

Here take this
helmet as a
souvenir.

the village, the
souvenirs are put
into a large trunk

precious gifts!
