2~~~~~~~Introduction~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here I am, doing yet another FAQ, but this one was really squeezed in there,
because I am now working on three FAQs. Since this is short, I decided to make
this, for those curious music lovers out there. I love music, all kinds, and
yes, even game music. Zelda had always appealed to me in every way, shape, or
form. Especially the music, composed by Mitsuhiko Takano. So I hope you enjoy
this.
3~~~~~~~Sound Test~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*/>What is a sound test?<\*.
A sound test is where you get to listen to music in the game you are playing.
Since you are playing The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, you will hear music
from it.
*/>How do I unlock the sound test?<\*.
Okay, the first thing to know about the Sound Test is that, once you get 130
figurines (there are 136 total) from Carlov (it is hell trying to get them) you
unlock the sound test. Where? Well, in Hyrule Town, go to the left side of
the house that has a big golden statue on the roof. There is a guy sitting by
a table who says he is really rich and tells you to talk to him after getting
130 figures. When you do, go talk to him and he unlocks the right side of the
house with the golden statue. In there, you'll find a heart piece, 600 rupees,
and a phonograph. Go to the phonograph and that, my friends, is the sound
test. It has 52 tracks. Here they are:
1: Intro/Start Screen
2: Hyrule Castle "Jingle"
3: Getting Element
4: Great Mayfly/Dragonfly/Butterfly
5: Game Over
6: (This is the opening title for LTTP and is not in the game)
7: Vaati's Theme
8: Ezlo Appears
9: Introduction
10: Climbing the Beanstalk
11: Inside a House/Building
12: Minigame
13: Syrup's Potion Shop
14: Inside a Cave
15: The Element Appears
16: North/East/South/West Hyrule Field
17: Hyrule Castle
18: Minish Village
19: Minish Woods
20: Hyrule Town
21: Miniboss
22: Dungeon Boss
23: Vaati Reborn
24: Enemy Attack
25: Swiftblade Brothers
26: Mt. Crenel
27: Picori Festival
28: File Select Screen
29: Link's Quest Begins
30: Credits
31: Zelda
32: Returning Peace
33: Rainy Mt. Crenel
34: Castor Wilds
35: Royal Valley
36: Cloud Tops
37: Dark Hyrule Castle
38: Secret Passage to Hyrule Castle
39: Deepwood Shrine
40: Cave of Flames
41: Foretress of Winds
42: Temple of Droplets
43: Palace of Winds
44: Ezlo's Past

All of the music was created and composed by Mitsuhiko Takano.

4~~~~~~~Epilogue~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, that is it, and it sure took a while (for a short FAQ) to mix and match.
I am unsure of a few songs, so if you have any information, please notify me
using the e-mail address typed in the contact section. If you are too lazy to
check, here it is:
5~~~~~~~Frequently Asked Questions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, maybe some of these aren't so frequent, but they can be very informal.
Q: How do I get the sound test?
A: Collect 130 figurines and talk to the man behind the Cafe. Then he opens a
house with a golden statue on top.
Q: How did you know all of them?
A: Well I had a lot of help and I just memorized it. For the end parts I had
to fight the last boss a few times to get those down.
Q: I only have 28 tracks, is there a problem? (Asked by John Chrapkowski)
A: No. You have to actually hear the songs to get them on the sound test. If
you haven't beaten the game, you won't have the songs that you hear in the
end of the game.
Q: I only have 135 figurines and Carlov says he will make one more. I waited
three days, and he still hasn't made it. I've beaten the game, so where is
the figurine? (Asked by Kevin van Abel)
A: Well, in order to get the figurine, you need to have seen it first. For
instance, if you've seen Vaati Reborn, then the Vaati Reborn figurine will
become available. You will just have to search for the person or monster
you want to have a figurine of.
Q: You say that you need to see the monster, person, etc. in order to get the
figurine, but I have a figurine (Funday School), and I haven't actually seen
the real "Funday School. Why is this? (Brought up by Wesley Rice)
A: That is very interesting. You DO need to see the monster, etc. in order to
get it's figurine, but this isn't the same. There are a few possibilities
though:
1. You don't need to see a building to get its figurine.
2. You only need to see the outside of the building.
3. You need to hear about it, to get the figurine.
4. Once you enter Hyrule Town, all of it's figurines become available.
5. Maybe, only certain monsters need to be seen to get the figurine.
6. The Funday School figurine is messed up.
Those are some ways in which I think this could have happened, but thay may
not be true. I thank Wesley Rice for bringing this up.
Q: What are your favorite Zelda titles?
A: Zelda is one of my favorite series, and yes, I have beaten them all and even
own them all (except for the infamous CD-i pseudo-series). Here are my
favorites in order (I love them all, despite their place on the list):
1. Wind Waker
2. Ocarina of Time
3. Majora's Mask
4. A Link to the Past
5. Twilight Princess
6. Four Swords Adventures
7. Oracle of Seasons/Ages
8. The Legend of Zelda
9. Link's Awakening
10. The Adventure of Link
11. The Minish Cap
12. Phantom Hourglass
13. Four Swords
It's not your typical list of favorites, but it's definitely mine. I really
don't put all of my faith in critic's reviews like many people do (even if
these games are critically acclaimed). I go by my experience with the game.
If my memories of playing the game are enjoyable, and I have the urge to go
back and play them, then they are obviously my favorite ones. The list may
switch around from time to time, but this is how I see it right now.
If you have any questions concerning the FAQ, contact me on the e-mail address
in the contact section.
