1) INTRODUCTION
******************************************************************************
Pokemon Emerald was released by Nintendo for Game Boy Advance in North America
on April 30, 2005.

This FAQ describes the Itemfinder, but is mostly a list of all the items
available in Pokemon Emerald that can be found using the Itemfinder.  The 109
items are listed by location, in the general order of a "typical" game
walkthrough.

2) ITEMFINDER
******************************************************************************
You get the Itemfinder from your rival, either May or Brendan, after you battle
them in the middle of Route 110.

The Itemfinder is an in-game Key Item that can be used anywhere within the game.
It allows the player to locate hidden items.  These items can be almost
anything, from types of Poke Balls, to health items like Potions, to other
useful items like Leftovers.

The Itemfinder will locate only items that are "on-screen" (within the window
of your game).  If you are scouring a location to look for items, you will need
to move your player around and use the Itemfinder often in order to check an
area completely.

You obtain the item by directly facing the hidden item and pressing the "A"
button.  You can't get the item if you are standing on the exact spot where the
hidden item is located.

If there are no items to find, you will get a verbal response saying, "... ...
.. ...Nope!  There's no response."

If there is an item nearby, you will hear four pings and get one of two verbal
responses:
1) "Huh?  The ITEMFINDER's responding!  There's an item buried around here!"
2) "Oh!  The ITEMFINDER's shaking wildly!"

If you get the first response, your player will be turned to face in the
general direction of the hidden item.  Press the "A" button.  If unsuccessful,
move one step in the direction that your player is facing and try again.

If you get the second response, your player will turn completely around.  Move
one space, turn around, and press the "A" button.

You don't have to use the Itemfinder to obtain the hidden items.  As long as
you know the exact location of an item, you can face the spot and press the "A"
button to get the item.
