Version 1 - Initial FAQ, Very basic menu translations, basic gameplay and
controls explained. Driller card tabl started.
Version 2 - Version history added, Additional driller card found, Pause menus
translated layout changed to make things look nicer, driller cards
moved to secrets section, General tidy up of a few things.
Mr Driller has a problem, there are coloured blocks coming out of the ground
and he must drill through them to reach the source. Mr Driller is a cute
puzzle game which I have played in the arcades and on home consoles but it
never really gripped me until I played the stunning good translation on to
the Gameboy Advance. It may not be a tetris for the 21st century but I really
enjoy playing it. I recommend picking up a copy.

Basic controls
--------------
D pad - Aim Drill/Navigate Menus
A/B - Drill/Select while on menu screen
L/R - Drill
Basic Gameplay
--------------
In all modes (except endless, which is endless) You must drill until you
reach the base or the stack of blocks. You can drill up, down, left or
right from your current postion.
The game is over wen you win the game, get crushed by falling blocks or
run out of air. Air can be recovered by collections air capsules scattered
around the stack. Air capsules recover 20 percent of your air.
Any coloured blocks except silver (time attack only) and brown can be
destroyed by drilling them once. If 2 or more blocks of the same colour
are beside each other they form only large block which will vanish whien
any part of it is drilled.
If 4 blocks or the same colour land together they will vanish. a block
comprised of 4 or more similar coloured blocks falls and distance it will
disapear.
Silver blocks are indestructable.
Brown blocks can be destroye at a cost of 20 percent of your air by drilling
them 5 times.
This option is the normal game with three difficulty levels. You must drill
to a specified depth with no time limit before your air runs out. There is no
time limit. An extra life is awarded at 20 000 points. You have three lifes
per attempt.
America - Normal - 1000 Meters
Egypt - Hard - 2000 Meters
India - Easy - 500 Meters
Endless Drilling
----------------
This option isthe same as mission drilling but it lets you drill as deep as
you can without ever ending. Again, there are 3 difficulty levels. Extra life at
20 000 points.
Easy - 5 lives
Normal - 3 Lives
Hard - 1 Life
Time attack Drilling
--------------------
These are single player time attack levels. The levels are always exactly
the same rather than randomly generated as in Mission Driller or Tokoton
Driller.
There are ten time attack levels arranged in 4 tiers at first only the first
tier is available. Once you beath the reqired time for each level on tier
the next tier opens up.
Tier 1
Level A - 100 Meters - Finish in under 24 seconds
Level B - 100 Meters - Finish in under 16 seconds
Level C - 100 Meters - Finish in under 46 seconds
Level D - 100 Meters - Finish in under 16 seconds
Tier 2
Level E - 100 Meters - Finish in under 28 seconds
Level F - 100 Meters - Finish in under 37 seconds
Level G - 100 Meters - Finish in under 28 seconds
Tier 3
Level H - 200 Meters - Finish in under 43 seconds
Level I - 200 Meters - Finish in under 36 seconds
Tier 4
Level J - 300 Meters - Finish in under 1 Minute 45 seconds
When I first started playing Mr Driller I didnt think there were any secrets
at all but upon completing my first 10 000 meters of drilling I got a secret
driller card! There are 20 to collect and each one is unlocked after
acomplising a particular task.
I have just finished Mission driller on normal mode with both characters and
have noticed there is another time attack ending called Time Attack Ura which
I have yet to unlock. Dont know anything about how to access this yet. Will
keep playing and post it up when I know. Im pretty sure Ura is like a way of
saying over or even harder or something so logic would dictate a harder set of
time attack courses???
Also im pretty sure there is another Character playable. This is partly
becuase there is a silouette in the manual with a question mark over it and
partly because card 11 show the drills of Susumu and Anna along with a third
drill.
