There are many ways to plant your crops and you will hear them all. However,
there really is only one good pattern that you can have, the 3x3. But, we will
go over the three most common.
THE "FAT C"
-----------
XXX A popular pattern for those with a weak watering can. Allows access to
XX all the crops. Should not be used after a silver or better watering can
XXX is bought, as a crop is lost in profit.
THE "O"

XXX This too is popular during the first year, during spring. It allows you
X X to jump through all the crop and access them all. However, just like the
XXX above pattern, it should be abandoned after the watering can is upgraded.
THE "3x3"

XXX The best pattern. After you get the silver watering can, which should be
XXX before the first summer, use it. You can also use it in the first
XXX spring, just hire the harvest sprites, they can reach the middle crop.

This is useful when trying to find out when you will need to go to the
supermarket to buy your new crops each season or whatever. Works best with
your single crops like turnips so you know when to buy more to maximize profit.
This also lets you see ahead to see if the store is closed so you can buy early
if need be. You can also use this to know when to hire sprites or when a big
harvest will arrive.
The reason is says below Harvest/Plant is for single crops. Some of those
dates may be dates that you not only have to harvest, but replant your single
crops.
