#3 Introduction
Ever wanted to know how much damage units do to each other? Or maybe you
didn't want to waste that fuel in fog of war just to see a 10%? Then you can
use this guide to calculate your numbers in advance!
You can skip to certain parts by using the # and the digit listed in the
contents. To get to Introduction, for instance, use #3.

Grit decreases direct unit damage by 20% (0.8)
Grit increases indirect unit damage by 50% (1.5) using Snipe Attack or
Super Snipe
Colin decreases all unit damage by 10% (0.9)

Kanbei increases all unit damage by 30% (1.3)
Kanbei increases all unit damage by 50% (1.5) using Morale Boost or Samurai
Spirit
Sensei increases infantry damage by 40% (1.4)
Sensei increases B Cptr damage by 50% (1.5)
Sensei decreases vehicle and naval unit damage by 10% (0.9)
Sensei increases B Cptr damage by 75% (1.75) using Copter Command or Airborne
Assault
Eagle increases air unit damage by 15% (1.15)
Eagle decreases naval unit damage by 30% (0.7)
Eagle increases air unit damage by 30% (1.3) using Lightning Drive or Lightning
Strike
Drake decreases air unit damage by 30% (0.7)
Jess increases vehicle damage by 10% (1.1)
Jess decreases infantry, air, and naval unit damage by 10% (0.9)
Jess increases vehicle damage by 30% (1.3) using Turbo Charge
Jess increases vehicle damage by 50% (1.5) using Overdrive
Lash increases all unit damage by 10% per star (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4)
Lash doubles offense bunuses (1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8) using Prime Tactics
Hawke increases all unit damage by 10% (1.1)
Sturm increases all unit damage by 20% (1.2)
Sturm increases all unit damage by 40% (1.4) using Meteor Strike
#6 Defense Modifiers
Terrain reduces damage by 1% per hit point per star
For example, a Mech with 6 hit points on a mountain (4 stars) reduces damage
by 24% (0.76)
A Tank with 8 hit points on a city (3 stars) also reduces damage by 24% (0.76)
All COs reduce damage by 10% (0.9) when using CO powers or super CO powers if
there is no other modifier listed
Kanbei reduces damage for all units by 30% (0.7)
Kanbei reduces damage for all units by 40% (0.6) using Morale Boost
Kanbei reduces damage for all units by 60% (0.4) using Samurai Spirit
Eagle reduces damage for air units by 10% (0.9)
Eagle reduces damage for air units by 30% (0.7) using Lightning Drive or
Lightning Strike
Drake reduces damage for naval units by 10% (0.9)
Drake reduces damage for naval units by 20% (0.8) using Tsunami or Typhoon
Lash reduces damage for all units depending on how many stars the terrain has
using Prime Tactics
0 stars = 10% (0.9)
1 star = 15% (0.85)
2 stars = 20% (0.8)
3 stars = 30% (0.7)
4 stars = 50% (0.5)
This is in addition to the doubled star terrain bonus
Sturm reduces damage for all units by 20% (0.8)
Sturm reduces damage for all units by 50% (0.5) using Meteor Strike
#7 Calculation Rules
First, take the base damage of the attacking unit
Then, multiply in any modifiers based on COs, terrain, HP, and powers in use
Multiply them all separately, don't add them together and multiply once
The final number, after dropping the decimal, should be the number shown on
the attack
Examples:
Max attacks with a Tank against Kanbei's Mech unit on a mountain (4 stars)
Initial damage is 70
Max adds 20% (1.2) to the attack
Terrain reduces damage by 40% (0.6)
Kanbei reduces damage by 30% (0.7)
Multiply 70 x 1.2 x 0.6 x 0.7
Answer is 35.28, so the game should show 35%
If Max's Tank had 7 HP, and Kanbei's Mech had 4 HP, it changes a bit
Initial damage is still 70
7 HP means only 70% attack power (0.7)
Max still adds 20% (1.2)
Terrain now reduces damage by 16% (0.84) because of the Mech's 4 HP
Kanbei still reduces damage by 30% (0.7)
Multiply 70 x 0.7 x 1.2 x 0.84 x 0.7
Answer is 34.5744, so the game should show 34%
If they also use their super CO powers (Kanbei used his last turn, Max this
turn)
Initial damage 70
7 HP = 70% (0.7)
Max adds 60% (1.6) for using Max Blast
Terrain 4 HP x 4 stars is 16% (0.84)
Kanbei reduces by 60% (0.4) for using Samurai Spirit
Multiply 70 x 0.7 x 1.6 x 0.84 x 0.4
Answer is 26.3424 so the game should show 26%
Multiplication order isn't important, but you need to choose the correct
modifiers
Only Colin uses both his original modifier when he uses Power of Money
Others don't add their original modifier using Co or Super CO powers
#8 Random Notes
Sometimes the calculation is off by 1%, and I haven't figured out why yet.
Remember that this only calculates the percentage shown, not actual damage,
so using it to predict counter damage isn't always reliable.
Nell does more than the shown percentage sometimes, but I don't have any idea
how to calculate it.
Sonja does less damage than the shown percentage sometimes, unless she's using
Counter Break, but I don't know how to calculate it.
I have not extensively tested Colin's offense bonus with Power of Money, and
it may be WAY off for some numbers
I have not extensively tested Lash's defense bonus with Prime Tactics, because
it seems to be different for different HP values
