anything, contact me.
version Final (tweaking)
June 26, 2003 I changed the info in the Secret Character section a bit since
some new info has come to light and added a new allowed site to
host the faq.
August 4, 2003 I know I said it was the final version, but I HAD to
add a Frequently Asked Question. To all readers who
bother to read this part, PLEASE do not email asking
me where to get the Apartment B card. I will ignore
ANY email about that from now on. I should have added
this earlier, but I've been too busy to get around to
it. Thank you. ;)
October 16, 2003 I decided to submit my faqs to IGN, so no more
updates after this, besides small tweaks I
may think of.
June 26, 2004 I was notified via email that I had missed listing a quest, so
I went back and found where it was and it has now been added.
------------------------------
:Frequently Asked Questions:.
------------------------------
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Don't email me asking this question>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Q. Where can I find the Apartment B card so I can get past the guard?
A. The keycard is in the Mayor's House in West City, in a chest in the
west side of the house. The Mayor's House is a screen south of the
World Map where you start from in West City.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Q. At the Sparring Arena in the Atrium of Capsule Corporation, why can't I
fight more than 3 times?
A. The game only lets you fight a total of 3 times....period. Since you don't
get any EXP from the sparring, the only thing given for each of the 3
fights is a +3 status Capsule. The developer didn't want you to be able
to stock up on stat raising items ike that.
Q. When does the Mayor's house in West City open up?
A. The soonest I've seen it open is right after Vegeta lands from the
asteroid where he went SSj for the first time. Its open all the time
after that.

-When giving directions, you will see N, S, E, W, NW, NE, SW, SE (ie. the
Cardinal directions on a Compass)
North (N) = Up
South (S) = Down
East (E) = Right
West (W) = Left
Northwest (NW) = Up/Left
Northeast (NE) = Up/Right
Soutwest (SW) = Down/Left
Southeast (SE) = Down/Right
You've no doubt seen this in other FAQs. Its the best way to give directions.
I'll be using the directions in the parentheses instead of writing out the
words, it gets the point across and less typing for me. Muhahahaha. More
typing is good if you do it for the right reasons, but this isn't one of
them. I didn't need to write what stands for what in the listing above,
but you'd be surprised how many people ask.....>_<

I. Future Trunks' Timeline
--------------------------
The story starts out in the Future Trunks' timeline playing as Future Trunks.
Here you get to see Future Gohan (as I will call him) and Future Trunks.
After Gohan walks to the (N), follow him and attack the rock. Press A to do
a meelee attack. You'll notice if you press A a couple of times, you can do
combo attacks, something sorely lacking in Part 1 of this series. Follow
Gohan (N) again and this time press B to shoot a Ki blast. Hit the rock twice
to destroy it. The ground shakes here and Gohan runs (N). It was the 2
Androids (17 & 18) who caused that. They were attacking Pepper City. Head
(N) and find Gohan. After almost going Super Saiyan and failing twice, Gohan
tells Trunks that he can fight with him but when Trunks turns his back, Gohan
knocks him out. When Trunks wakes up, it is darker. Stand on the raised
portion (Flight Pad) and press A to fly to Pepper Town. Run around if you
like and when you are ready to proceed with the story, head (N) and west a
bit. You'll come across a sad scene where Androids 17 and 18 (out of view)
pelt Gohan with energy blasts. Gohan dies, Trunks runs to him and finally
feels the rage needed for him to complete the transformation to become a
Super Saiyan. The screen fades to white and thats the end of that in the
Future Timeline.
Cut to Goku's house in the Present Timeline.

II. Goku's House

Quests accessed:
---Find the Mathbook
Chi Chi yaps to young Gohan about wanting him to be a lawyer blah blah, she
even thinks he can be PRESIDENT. President of the World (she said it, not
me). haha They talk a bit and she tells Gohan to go find his Math book. This
is your very first Quest. Quests from now on that are accessed will be noted
as such, *new quest*. The Math book is upstairs. Head through the (E) door
and go up the stairs. You'll see it. Current Quests/Completed Quests can be
checked through the Status screen (press Start). Press L and it will show the
Journal screen. Press Right to see completed quests. Once you have the Math
book, head back downstairs to the desk where you started. Gohan will start to
study and fall asleep.
When Gohan wakes up, the window will be open. Use that to get out of the
house.

III. East District 439
----------------------
Quests accessed:
---Meet Krillin and the others in the Northern Wastelands
Directly (N) of Goku's House is the first Save Point. If you are a fan of the
anime/manga, you know that the C on it stands for the Capsule Corporation.
Save if you like now, press A while standing on the save point. Later on you
can switch characters at save points.
Go towards the (NW). Make your way to the ledge and exit to the (W). You'll
find a +1 Power Capsule. Make your way back to where the Save point is and
head (NE) to the exit there. Dash (E) and head (N). You'll come across your
very first Character Gate. The floating number is what level the character
has to be and the color of the number is a hint to who you need to be
controlling in order to pass the Gate. This one is a no-brainer. Gohan's
color is light blue. After you pass through the gate, you'll notice a second
one with a 2 floating over the Gate. You can guess what that means. ;) Head
(E). You'll come across "Goku". Well, its not Goku, its a hallucination,
sorta. The figure turns into final form Frieza and attacks you. If you can
get away from him a tad, pepper him with Ki blasts. If you run out of Ki,
punch and retreat. When you beat him, you reach Level 2. It was all a dream.
Make your way back to the Lv 2 character Gate after you talk to Krillen on
the phone. The Saiyan Battle Armor Gohan spoke of to Krillen is in there.
Head through the (N) exit and head out to the World Map. Time to fly!
*********
World Map
*********
Head to the (NW). Only place you can go right now. To the Northern
Wastelands.
-----------------------
IV. Northern Wastelands
-----------------------
Theres only one path you can take. Head (W) and use Ki blasts to take out the
flying Red Ribbon robots. There are 3 and when you destroy them all, the
barrier will disappear. Continue (N). There is a Namek (W) one screen from
where you are now, but there you need Goku to get to him, so come back here
later. Also, if you go up the ramp and then (W) one screen, there is a
Character Gate, but its for Goku so you can't access it right now. Go back to
the ramp and head (N). Pass the skeleton and head (NW). There are two of the
Tiger Bandits here and one Ladybug. You'll find a Save point and a Flight Pad
at the (N)most part.
When you land, head down the ramp and grab the STR Capsule +1. Talk to
everyone if you like, and when you're ready, head up the cliff where
Piccolo is waiting. Continue up the cliff top. Its on auto-pilot for a bit
here so sit back and watch the story. King Cold and Metal Frieza enter and
talk a bit. Frieza brings out some soldiers. Enter Future Trunks. Watch
Future Trunks destroy them and their soldiers. Talk to your buddies if you
want and use the Flight Pad on the left when you're ready.
Talk to Future Trunks and more auto-pilot story comes. Enter Goku. The
dialogue is almost verbatum (word for word) from the show, especially when
Future Trunks takes Goku off to the side for their discussion. Still on
auto-pilot. Read, read and read some more....
---------------
V. Goku's House
---------------
Quests accessed:
---Go to West City
Cut to Goku's house in East District 439. You still control Gohan. Talk to
Goku and he says you can go train in the forest to the (S) if you like, or
go into the house with him and surprise Chi-Chi. Your choice. After the
dialogue is over, you can go train in the forest to the (S) now. Save at
the save point (N) of the house first.
(Whenever you find an aread where there is a Black Water Mist Jar in the top
right hand corner of the screen, that means that the area is still infected
by the Black Water Mist.)
In the forest, there are animals that were taken over by the Black Water Mist
that Garlic Jr released over the earth and the Sacred Water that was released
didn't make it to the animals here. I won't go into detail of this area. Just
explore and beat on the animals. There is a World Map in the first area if
you want to go on to West City where Piccolo is waiting.

Fly to the new star on the Map. Hello West City!
-------------
VI. West City
-------------
Quests accessed:
---Get the Hercule Parade started to gain access to Piccolo
---Piccolo must talk to Goku or the Mayor about a problem in West City
--Get an open faced Club sandwich for Hercule
--Save the four missing children at West City Highway
--Find the album "Eyes of the Lion" and give it to Hercule
The Star on the World Map is where you need to go.
Goku says that he'll be waiting outside of Capsule Corporation for Piccolo
and says that Bulma has something for you at Capsule Corporation. You are
shown where Piccolo is and your Journal is updated with two new quests.
Speak with Hercule and you'll recieve Hercule's Autograph. He doesn't tell
you directly, but he wants an "open faced Club sandwich". Head to the (N)most
area of this area and you'll see a kid walking around a tree. This is the
Park and the kid wants Hercule's autograph. The kid gives you a Golden
Capsule.
If you ever get lost, use the Red boxes around town, these are maps. There is
one in each section of town.
Head (W) one screen and go all the way to the (N) end of it. You'll notice an
exit to the (E). Exit to the (E) and you'll find a Golden Capsule. You'll
need to talk to Dr. Brief at CC about it (CC will be what I call Capsule
Corporation from now on).
In the (NE)most part of town there is a guy that asks you to find 4 missing
children. *information is in the Quests section* To the (E) of the Save point
(N) of him is a secrety area. There is a Golden Capsule there.
---------------------------
VI. West City
A. -Capsule Corporation
---------------------------
Quests accessed:
-See Bulma at Capsule Corporation
-Find the 25 Golden Capsules for Dr. Briefs
-Deliver Bulma's note to the Electronics store
-Deliver the Scouter Part to Bulma
-Investigate the Capsule Corporation espionage
CC is to the (E) of town. From the main entrance, if you head straight ahead
through the glass doors and make your way to the back of that area, you can
train with your friends. If you lose, don't worry, you can't die, but you get
items if you win.
To get to Dr. Briefs easily without exploring, instead of entering in the
main entrance, go (E) a bit more and enter there. He's walking back and forth
in the back of the lab. Bulma is on the 2nd floor. From the main entrance,
take the (W) exit and go (S). Head up the stairs to the 2nd floor and you'll
come across Mrs. Briefs. Talk to her and she'll give you a Cookie, which
restores Health. Continue to the back of the apartment and you'll find Bulma.
She gives you a note to take to the Electronics store. *new quest* On the way
to the Electronics store, stop into the house just (NW) of the entrance to
CC. In the house, you'll find a STR Capsule +1. The Electronics store
(Circuit Shack) is 3 screens (W) of the entrance to CC. Talk to Bucky in the
(NE) part of the store. Return to Bulma and you recieve the Scouter as a
reward. The Scouter can be used to show a map of the current area you are in.
Press R to use it. You can also view info on people/enemies that are in range
of the Scouter. Press R to access the Scouter and then press L to switch to
view any people or enemies in range. Move the Cursor and press A to view the
info. Any info you discover can be accessed by going to CC's central
computer later, once you have access to it. Before you leave the room Bulma
is in, exit the room through the door to the (N) next to the TV. There is a
POW Capsule +1 out on the balcony.
When you go back downstairs to the Lobby area, the receptionist tells you
that Dr. Briefs wants you to investigate a possible information leak in the
company. Head (E) two screens and talk to the Guard. He gives you the Blue
Key Card. This gives you access to two new areas. The Basement area and the
East Tower on the 3rd floor. The Basement has a STR Capsule +3 and a
Endurance Capsule +3. Now go to the East Tower on the 3rd floor and use the
key card. Theres a Save point if you feel you'd like to use it. Go to the top
of the room and press the red switch. This unlocks the West Tower. Now go to
the West Tower. There is a man named Newman in there. He claims to be lost,
but how can you get lost in an area that was sealed off? Hmm...theres a flash
of light and he summons an Wolf (400HP) that you can kill easily. After the
battle, Newman confesses and you take him back to the Guard that gave you the
Blue Key Card. He gives you the Red Key Card as thanks. Now you can access
the Computer Room which is one screen (W) from here. You can view all the
info that you've gathered on people with the Scouter here.
This is all you can do at CC for now. Lets go get that open faced Club
sandwich that Hercule wants so we can progress the story.
If you haven't done the quest "Save the four missing children at West City
Highway", you have to do that in order to progress the story. Once you have
done that, go to the Newspaper stand. Clarence will give you a free Newspaper
for saving his son. Take the Newspaper and give it to Floyd at "Big Mouth"
the restaurant. He gives you the open faced Club sandwich you need for
Hercule. Now head (N) 2 screens and give the sandwich to Hercule. He whines
about the music being wrong and he says he wants "Eyes of the Lion" to be
playing. You can guess what this means....*new quest*. Head to the Record
shop and talk to the guy. He doesn't have the album, and directs you to the
Antique Shop, its at the top of the screen one screen (N) of the Record Shop.
Talk to Merv and he'll give it to you for free, because he can't imagine
charging anyone for something SO BAD (guess that says something about
Hercule, huh?). Head back to Hercule to complete the quest.
Now you can access Piccolo. *new quest* Step on the Save point and press A.
You can switch to Piccolo now. Go talk to Goku in front of CC. Talking to the
Mayor in City Hall (N) of the Save point will give you a....*new quest*. He
asks you to help a small town to the (S) from some Triceratops.
-----------------------
VII. Triceratops Jungle
-----------------------
Head (E) an bust through the Character Gate with Piccolo (you should still be
him after talking to the Mayor or Goku. If not, the closest Save point is in
front of CC where Goku was walking around.) Since Piccolo is Lv. 10 when you
get him, you can get right through the Gate. Get used to using your Scouter
to gather information on the enemies you fight from now on. It can be a
lifesaver to know about how many HP the enemy has and how strong they are.
The first enemy you can test it out on is the Kuma Mercenary in the screen
after the Character Gate. Wait till you can see them in your screen and hit
Select. Put the cursor on him and hit A. He has a STR of 17, and Piccolo only
has a STR of 12, so be careful. Head (S) and exit through the (W) exit. In
the (SW) corner is a Golden Capsule Now you can cross the bridge. In the (N)
part of this area, there is a character gate for Trunks, make a note in yer
head. Now exit to (S). Make your way (S)wards and you'll come across an area
where you can walk across moss or lillypads sitting on the top of the water.
Head all the way (E) and grab the Golden Capsule. Make your way back to the
screen (N) where you came in at. Instead of going up the ramp to the higher
area, go (NE) a bit and under the Waterfall. This will take you to the bridge
you crossed under on the way to the Golden Capsule. Cross the bridge and
you'll be in the village. Talk to people to gather clues. You'll be needing
to find the Triceratops King. The house in the (SE) corner has a chest
outside with a STR Capsule +1.
Continue to the (S). This next area can kill you FAST if you aren't careful.
There are packs of 3 Triceratops walking around here. They have a pattern and
walk at the same speed all the time, so time it right. The exit is in the
(SE) corner. (If you haven't used the Scouter on a Triceratops yet, you can
do it now if you like ;) ) There is only one more area to worry about and can
be tricky, but just take your time. You have to almost always DASH to make it
in time. Try not to get hit because theres a boss coming up real soon. The
exit is in the (NE) corner. Time to fight the Triceratops King.
Scouter reading:
Triceratops King
HP: 850
STR: 21
POW: 1
END: 25
Use Piccolo's fast Ki attacks. When he charges you, dodge. He likes to attack
at an angle and he shakes a bit before he attacks, so time your dodge
accordingly. There are 3 rocks at the top of the battlefield that you can
break for health/Ki. I don't know if its random, but I got a Roasted Chicken
and 2 small Ki orbs. Beat him and he'll agree that the triceratops will live
in peace with the humans. You are transported back to the middle of the
village and a Flight Pad appears. Use the Flight Pad and it takes you back to
near the entrance to West City. Head (N) and you'll encounter someone who
looks familiar, but you haven't seen him before....enter COOLER! He wants to
fight Goku, and will be waiting for him on New Namek. *make a mental note*
-----------------
VIII. West City
A. Warlord's Domain
-----------------
Quests accessed:
---Retrieve the City Key and return it to the Mayor
-Rescue the man kidnapped by the warlord
Go to see the Mayor at City Hall. You walk in on a ceremony where the Mayor
is giving the key to the city to Hercule and someone steals it. *new quest*
You'll see where the man who stole the key goes, just follow him. As you're
following him, stop by the grouping of 3 houses and talk to the red haired
lady standing outside to receive a new quest, which is to find her husband
who was kidnapped by the Warlord. Now, back to chasing the culprit. He'll
end up running to the Warlord's Domain. The guards will open the door for
you. There is a Save point for you if you want to use it. Exit to the (W).
If you look at your Scouter (Press R), you'll see a cutout area in the (SW)
part of this area. There is a Golden Capsule there. Now exit to the (W) but
be careful as you head that way...there is a Ladybug that will hit you if
you're not careful and walk so fast that you don't see it.
In this next area there are 2 exits, one to the (N) and one to the (SW).
There is a cave next to the (N) exit that is sealed off by some kind of
magic. Take the (N) exit and you'll see the worn down Warlord's hideout.
Before entering, go to the right side of the building and make your way
around the building Counter-clockwise. You'll find a Kidnapped Man on the (W)
side of the screen. Talk to him and he'll give you a Golden Capsule. Now
double back and enter the gate of the hideout and on the right side, you'll
find a STR Capsule +1.
Taking the (SW) exit, you can exit to the (N) or to the (W). They both lead
to the same screen. With the (N) exit, you'll have another screen to go
through. Continue (W). Here is an area with a beach. On the beach near the
dock you'll find a STR Capsule +1. There is a Flight Pad at the (N) of this
area (noted by the orange dot on your Scouter). When you land, you'll find a
house to the (N). Enter and there is an END Capsule +3 in the chest by the
door. This house belongs to the guy who stole the key to the city. His name
is Robert and he stole the key for a good reason. He says that Hercule
doesn't deserve it (which is true, haha). Robert says Hercule doesn't deserve
it because Hercule claims to have beaten the Warlord, but Robert is the one
that beat the Warlord. Robert left the key in a cave, and put a spell on it.
Return to the cave that was sealed by the magic that you saw earlier. The key
is in a chest in the back of the cave. Now go back to the Mayor in City Hall.

Piccolo plan on training for the 3 years until the Androids are planned to
appear on May 12 at 10am (May 12 is my birthday, yay). There is nothing to
do, training wise....when all the training is done, its 3 years later. Gohan
gains a few levels and can use Masenko Ha now. Piccolo gains a few levels as
well and can use Special Beam Cannon now.
*2 new quests added*
Lets go train some and get some new abilities on Master Roshi's Island.

On the (NE) part of the island you'll find a Golden Capsule, by the water's
edge. Use your Scouter on Maron for a laugh. Enter the house. Talk to Master
Roshi as Piccolo and he'll teach you the Whirlspin. Talk to him as Gohan and
he'll teach him the Spin Kick. Hold A to gather power for both moves. Leave
the island and head for Amenbo Island.

Quests accessed:
---Meet up with the others on the Southern Continent
-Find the seven missing Nameks and return them to Capsule Corporation
You'll find the whole DBZ crew here (minus Chiaotzu). Talk to everyone if you
like. Make sure to speak with Yajirobe, he'll give you another Senzu Bean.
Move (W) onto the cliff and auto-pilot takes over. Listen to them talk and
hit the Flight Pad which takes you to Sasebo, the city on Amenbo Island. Just
follow the road and Yamcha yells that he found them. Unfortunately, he's now
unconscious on the ground. Time to meed Androids 19 and 20. 19 is the fat
white one, 20 is the old guy. The rest of the team joins you and Krillin
takes Yamcha to Bulma to get a Senzu Bean. Goku wants to fight in a place
where there are no innocent people. 20 agrees that it is too crowded and 19
destroys the surroundings, which kills all people on the island (minus the Z
team and the Androids of course) They all fly off (N).
Meanwhile...
Vegeta is training deep in space on an asteroid. You then get to control him.
He can go Super Saiyan now. Use L to scroll through the special attacks, and
choose the Z icon. Press B to start the transformation. Its a long
transformation so if any enemies are near you, try to block them off with a
rock or a tree so you can pull it off. You can disable SS by pressing B
again. SS uses EP, so watch your gauge.
Enter the space ship and you'll be transported to CC. Exit to the (E) and a
scientist from CC asks you to keep an eye out for the 7 missing Nameks. They
want to send them back to New Namek to be reunited with their families. Now
use the World Map and fly to the Southern Continent to meet up with the Z
team.
Its not really necessary to do this, but in order to complete the "Train with
Roshi" quest, you have to. Go to Master Roshi's Island and "train" with him.
Talk to Roshi and Vegeta will learn the "Two-handed Smash" attack.

Quests accessed:
---Locate Dr. Gero's lab in the Northern Mountains
When you land, head (N). Just a few steps and a cutscene ensues. Android 20
states that this is where they will be fighting. Goku wants to know how the
Androids knew their names. And coughs (the heart virus has started to
attack). Talk, talk, talk....read, read, read...*yawn*. Goku turns Super
Saiyan. 19 and 20 don't expect it, but they don't think its any cause for
worry. After the talking is done, you gain control of Vegeta again. There are
purple Tiger Bandits coming after you now. They have 325 HP so they're tough,
be careful.
There is a Save point nearby if you want to save now. From the starting
screen, take the (NE) exit. There are 2 Tiger Bandits in this screen. Head
(E) and if you take the (S) exit, you'll find the Save point. Head back up a
screen from the Save point and there is a Lv. 15 Character Gate for Gohan in
the screen to the (E). Make a note of that for later, its on your Scouter but
you need to remember that its there. From the Character Gate, go back a
screen to the (W). Going (N) takes you to a screen with about 5 or 6
Ladybugs. There is an electric gate that goes away when you destroy the
Ladybugs. (Most enemies respawn when you leave a screen and come back. Note
that the Ladybugs here don't respawn) There is a little more of the level to
explore to the (W), but nothing of interest. If you want to explore there,
your choice. The first screen to the (W) from the electric gate has 2
Ladybugs. The next screen has a couple Tiger Bandits and a Ladybug. The last
unexplored screen has 2 Tiger Bandits. You can always use more EXP, so go for
it. When you're ready, head through the disabled electric gate to the (N).
Take either exit, they go to the same place. Head (W) and make your way to
the end for a Gold Capsule. Double back and head (N) to find Goku fighting
19. Goku is dominating 19 for a bit, and then the virus starts taking its
toll on him. He loses power, and the gang figures its the heart virus that
Future Trunks told them about. Vegeta enters and gives one of his patented
Veggie speeches on how worthless someone (ie. Goku) is. Yamcha takes Goku
home to get him started on the Antidote. Time to fight 19.

DO NOT use Ki blasts (Ki blasts or Big Bang) on him. That will heal him, and
with near 3000 HP, you don't want to give him any edge over you. Go SS ASAP
and pummel him with punches. If (WHEN) you need health/energy, there are
rocks scattered around the edges of the battlefield. If you get out of
punching range from 19, he'll start throwing energy blasts at you in quite
rapid succession. So stay semi-close to him. If you have the Two-Handed Smash
Special Meelee attack for Veggie from Master Roshi's "training", that is a
good thing to use on 19. My Vegeta was Level 21 at the time that I fought 19
and the THS did about 150 damage which is great, since my regular punches
were only doing about 60-65 with criticals doing about 125). As long as you
don't take too much damage, this battle will fly by....you have 2 Senzu Beans
in reserves, unless you used them already.
After the battle, Vegeta flies over to where 20 is standing on a ledge. The
usual smack talk ensues (this IS Vegeta, after all) and he destroys the ledge
20 was standing on. 20 loses his hat in the explosion and escapes (N),
running like a dog with his tail between his legs. You control Piccolo now,
head (N) and there is a Save point where you cah change characters if you
like, I like Vegeta since he can go SS. Continue (N). Snake your way (N) and
take the Flight Pad. BOSS FIGHT!!

Same tactics as 19 really. The only difference is 19 has/had 160 HP more.
There is a lot more room to move around. There are only 4 rocks around the
arena to break, so use sparingly. When he gets down to about 1/5 health, the
battle is over.
The gang runs in and Future Trunks arrives. Vegeta now knows that Trunks is
his son. Talking, more talking. Read. :p After all that is done, a World Map
appears and everyone flies off to try to find Dr. Gero's lab. Exit using the
map.

XIII. Northern Mountains
------------------------
Quests accessed:
---Follow Androids 16, 17, and 18
--Destroy the three power generators to drop Dr. Gero's barrier
From the first area, save if you want, I'm sure you will after that battle
with 20. Head (S) and kill the Warthogs and collect your Golden Capsule.
Backtrack to the save point. To the North is a Lv. 25 Gohan Character Gate.
If your Gohan isn't to that level yet, make a note on that one as well. We
only have one way left to go so go (W) from the Save point. Make your way (N)
next. Finally a new enemy and not just a pallette swap on old ones(besides
the Warthog), a Hawk. Get past them and there are a few Warthogs. There is a
Lv. 30 Piccolo Character Gate here to the (N) a tad. If he's the right level,
go back to the Save point and switch out if you aren't playing as him
already. If not....make ANOTHER mental note. Continue on (W). The next
area has 3 Hawks, head straight on through...only one way to go anyway. The
next screen has a POW Capsule +3 to the left. Continue (N)wards to run into
Dr. Gero (20).
Scouter reading:

He's at full health, but you'll note that he only has 1900 HP this time
around instead of 2810 HP. Almost 1000 less than last time. Good. The best
way I found to kick his @$$ is to get above him ( (N) side of the screen) and
get into a pattern of punching with a pattern while rushing him. Do that
about twice and he'll run away. Follow him (N). Save point. To the (W) is a
Character Gate for Goku. I don't know what level is required, since I don't
have Goku yet. Mental note, again. Go back (E) and head (N) from the Save
point.
Here you have to destroy the 3 generators powering the barrier to Dr. Gero's
lab. Beware the Eggbots, they like to smack you with those little hydraulic
arms of theirs but stand back a tad until they explode. Touching them after
they're "dead" but before they blow up will damage you. Head (E) and destroy
the orange parts on the generator. This one disables the middle laser
barrier.
Dr. Gero again. Use the aforementioned tactic on him, getting into a rythm of
hitting him and knocking him back so you can hit him, but he can't hit you.
When he has about half of his life left, he'll flee (N). You can fight him
again by going back to the screen where the barrier is. You might want to
continue (E) after the 1st Gero battle, but we'll come back to that later.
Head through the (W) exit and make your way (NW). He's standing on the bridge
like the previous encounter. Same tactic as before. Alternately, you can hit
him from side to side on the bridge and not take much damage. He'll get a hit
in here or there, but shouldn't be too bad. He'll retreat (N)wards like last
time. Make sure to go to the (S)most part of this screen for a Golden
Capsule. Head (W). Here you'll find a Lv. 50 Character Gate for Vegeta. Yes
Level _50_. That is the Max Level you can get so there must be something good
in there. (I'm guessing his Statue)....Head (S). In the (W) part of the lower
area Yajirobe will give you a Senzu Bean. In the (SE) part is a END Capsule
+3. Head back to the (N) and take the (W) exit. Strange music, yes....head
(S) and talk to the man walking around and you'll find out what song it is
(you've heard it before). Theres a save point here as well. Talk to all 3
people in this area. Write down the lyrics for the song, you'll need them
later. Go down the ramp in the (SE) corner of the area and grab the POW
Capsule +3.
From the Save point area, head back (N) to the previous screen. Take the (W)
path and make your way up the mountain. Straightforward path. All the way up,
pass the house on the ridge, and snake around to find a Golden Capsule. Check
your Scouter if you get lost. Make your way back to the screen where the
funny music started playing and head (N) Make your way to the caves and
you'll notice 6 switches. This is the puzzle. You have to use the lyrics to
solve the puzzle. Heres the lyrics if you didn't write them down:
"You've got the awesome power within you!/ It's been there all along!
Don't feel blue!/ You've got the eyes of a lion!"
"Fear is the only thing you hold back!/ Green pastures are ahead of you!
Move in and attack!/ Don't forget the eyes of the lion!"
"Feel the danger around you! The black darkness surrounds you!
What are you going to do?/ The eyes of the lion!"
This is a tough one. Took me 2 HOURS to figure it out. I stopped reading the
lyrics and just started flipping switches. Here is the fruit of my labors
Black - ON
Green - ON
Blue - ON
The rest stay OFF.
Now that I think about it, the colors that you turn ON are the only COLORS
specifically named in the lyrics. DUHHHH. It makes sense once you figure it
out. Now go to the top of the hill and go in the door that opened up. I knew
that door looked suspicious. Destroy the Generator in there. Go behind
Vinny's house and get the STR Capsule +3 before you leave though.
NOW, head all the way back to where you first fought Gero just after the 1st
Generator. Now we can head (E) over the bridge to the next screen. Use the
(SE) exit in this screen and the (N) exit in the next. In this screen, check
your Scouter and you'll see a lower area sticking down. There is a Golden
Capsule there. Head (N) to the next screen and you'll come across a
Brontosaurus wrapped around one of the guarding 3 eggs. You have to move the
eggs from there to the cracks with steam coming out of them 3 screens (S).
The hardest screen is the first one below where the eggs are. You have to
fake-out the two Eggbots and slip between them and the Tiger Bandit. Stick to
the (S) edge of the lower area in that screen and exit to the (S). Your
character walks to the mother on their own. If you are touched by an enemy
even once, the egg breaks and you have to go get it again from the Generator.
Luckily, any eggs successfully carried to the mother don't have to be
re-carried if you break an egg after them. Thank goodness.....this is the
hardest part of the game so far. The best way I've found is to stand right at
where the little ^ is on the edge of the ground. Its halfway between the
Tiger Bandit that walks up and down and the Eggbots. You'll see it. Inch
yourself up a TINY bit past it so you can see the Tiger Bandit's arm that
walks up and down on the (E) side enough to know where he is. When the SLOW
Eggbot passes YOU and is still facing (S), DASH to the (E) but stop and just
run (S). If you hit the wall when you're dashing (E), you WILL get hit and
break the egg. You don't want that.
Now go back to the Generator and bust it the hell up. You should have some
fun with it for all that darn work you had to do to be able to bust it up.
Savor the moment. This Generator controls the bottom laser on the barrier.
Thats the last one.
Open up the map in your Scouter and make your way to the big area that has 2
exits to the (N) that we haven't explored yet. Either exit (N) works, its a
loop. There is a Golden Capsule surrounded by about 4 Eggbots. Take them out
before they take YOU out. If they surround you, you're through.
Now go back to the entrance to the cave the darn barrier once protected and
enter of course. May wanna save first tho. ;) Dr.Gero will activate Androids
17 & 18. Talking....When you get control of your character again, go up to
the blue metal door and attack it to destroy it. The posse joins you. Read
and when you get control back, head (N). In this screen is a Flight Pad to
the (N). There is a gate with a question mark and is inaccessable for now.
Its for Trunks, you'll come back here later. There is a Save point to the
(E). Use the Flight Pad when you're ready. You find the 3 Androids talking.
17 wants to drive and will take the next car that drives by. 18 spots your
character and orders 16 to kill you. He declines and 18 says she'll take care
of you herself.

I like my "hit'em in a rhythm so they can't hit you" tactic. It works quite
well. She throws Energy blasts like 19 and 20 did when you're out of strike
range. When you drain about half of her health, you win....sorta. 18 kicks
your character (the kick that breaks Vegeta's arm in the show). You don't
DIE, so I'd say I won. haha Scene fades to black and when it fades back in,
the whole Z gang (minus Krillin) are unconscious. 17 says that they aren't
looking for him, so he should relax. More chatter...and 18 kisses Krillin on
the cheek just like in the show. Here begins Krillin's crush on 18....bye bye
Maron! (She'll leave him soon enough anyway) The Androids fly off to find
Goku, and everyone regains consciousness. Vegeta flies off in anger, ashamed
of his defeat to 18 (sorta defeated).

there is of interest here, double back 2 screens (S).
Taking the (W) exit and working your way where the path takes you you'll come

machine landed 4 years ago. So by the time that Future Trunks fought Frieza

Earth for one year already. *new quest*
In this area where you find the time machine, head to the (SE) corner to find

Now, by the look of that HP, thats a LOT of HP. BUT if you keep up with the

and knocking him back, you shouldn't have much trouble. Every now and then if
you don't keep up the pressure, he'll stick his tail into you and suck out
some HP. He takes 5 HP many times, once in a while he'll get a critical and
take 11 HP. The "sucking" lasts for about 8 seconds. When you get him down to
about half, a cutscene ensues and Piccolo gets nailed in the arm with a
Kame Hame Ha. Piccolo bluffs Cell and tells him that he'll submit to him, but
he asks Cell to grant him a final request. Who is he? Where did he come from?
Cell no spills the beans on how he was created and what he is programmed to
do. If you've ever watched the show, you already know what he'll say. Its
pretty much verbatum.
After the talking is done, Piccolo regenerates his arm. Cell realized that he
tricked him. Krillin and Trunks fly in. Talking....Cell has other business

really "Piccolo". Piccolo tells Vegeta that he fused with Kami. Tien arrives.
More talking and you access a *new quest*.

After a bit of smack talk from Vegeta, Trunks flies in to the battlefield.
Vegeta says that Trunks isn't as powerful as he is, but those of us who are

Vegeta tries attacking Cell. He puts all his energy into one kick....and it
does no damage whatsoever. Cell hits Vegeta and knocks him out.
Trunks enters at this point and goes USSJ. You control him and fight Perfect
Cell.

Use the rhythm punching tactic once more. If you want a couple free licks in,
stun Cell with your Burning Attack and tear into him. The rhythm tactic is
much better though. Beat him down to about half health and he refills his
health back to full and you fight him again. Between bouts, he says that he
killed Trunks in the future and stole his time machine to come to this
timeline. Beat him down again to abouthalf health and he refills his health
again. That was the last round, he says all Trunks has done is pump up his
muscles. This is where Cell declares that he will start a Tournament to
decide the fate of the world. He only cares about fighting one person.
Someone he can test his power against....Goku. The Cell Games will be coming
in 10 days.
Control of Trunks is given back to you. *new quest*
From now on, Trunks/Vegeta will use their regular SS powers, and not USSJ

Quests accessed:
---Meet up with the others in the Briefs' residence to hear Cell's
announcement
---Talk to Bulma in Dr. Briefs' workshop
---Collect the seven Dragon Balls
--Get the Dragon Radar from Bulma
(Detour in West City)
Since you're here at CC, take a slight detour back to West City. From the
entrance to CC, head to the (S) and you'll see 3 buildings to the (W). If you
picked up the Apartment A Card from the guy in the Tropical Islands, you can
get into his room in building A. There is a Golden Capsule, an END Capsule
+3, and a STR Capsule +3. Now you can go back to CC and proceed with the
story.
(Back to Capsule Corp)
Head into the main entrance and the Receptionist will tell you that Master
Roshi is in the Atrium waiting for you. Talk to Roshi. *2 new quests* Make
sure to talk to Bulma in Dr. Briefs' workshop to recieve an upgraded Scouter.
Head upstairs to the Briefs' residence to watch Cell's announcement on the
Cell Games. Go to the back room in the apartment where the TV is. Cell says
that he will be holding a tournament similar to the original World Martial
Arts Tournament. The rules are the same, if the fighter is knocked out or
their body touches the outside of the ring, they are disqualified. Cell will
compete one on one with a fighter from Earth. If he isn't defeated, then
the Earth is his. The tournament starts in 9 days in the Northern Wastelands.
"Meanwhile....
Goku and Gohan emerge from the rigors of the HTC with newfound power. Using
his Instant Transmission, Goku paid a quick visit to New Namek. It was
crucial to find a replacement for Kami..."
Gohan acquires SS form and can now use the Kame Hame Ha.
Goku brought Dende back from New Namek to become the new Guardian of Earth.
Mr. Popo fetches the model of the Dragon and Dende creates the Dragon so that
it can grant 2 wishes, instead of the one it could before.
**Goku is now a playable character**

XXV. *The search for the Dragonballs*
-------------------------------------
Quests accessed:
---Return the Dragonballs to Dende on the Lookout
You can recover them in any order you wish. Here is where to locate each and
a how to get them. If you check your Scouter, all you have to do is make your
way to where they are on the map. You should be fairly familiar with the maps
with the exception of the Snowy Highlands, which is a new area. The hardest
DB to obtain is the 4 Star DB, because there is a TOUGH boss fight you must
go through in order to get it. Good luck.
#1) Go to the Northern Wastelands. Check your Scouter and go through Goku's
Character Gate. Activate the switch and make your way across the bridge
the switch activated. Rescue the Namek and continue onwards into the
next area. At the end of it is the 1 star DB.
#2) For the 2 star DB, go to West City. Return to the Warlord's Domain. Open
up your map and you'll see it off to the (W). Its in the open.
#3) Northern Mountains. Check your Scouter. Remember Goku's Lv. 40 Character
Gate? Well thats what you need to head for. There are several T-Rex in
this area and plenty of Triceratops. Tough enemies, be wary. There is a
Blue T-Rex guarding the 3 star DB in the (S)most area.
#4) The 4 Star DB is in a very large area. Go to the forest south of Goku's
House in East District 439 as Vegeta. Theres a Lv. 30 Character Gate.
Make your way (N) and you'll come across a Lv. 35 Goku Character Gate.
If you aren't playing as Goku, go (SE) from the door and (S) 2 screens.
Then (W) one screen. There is a save point there. Now enter the Gate.
Work your way (N) a screen. There are 2 exits, one (E) one (W). You need
to go both ways. To the (W) is a save point. Operate the pump in the
corner, then go to the other side and do the same. Go back to the room
with the water and go (E). In the door, kill the ninjas and hit the
button. Now go across the room with the water and exit to the (W). Same
thing. Now in the middle area to the (N), do the same thing as the other
2 rooms. This will drain all the water. Now go down the steps where the
water was and in the door. Use your map and keep heading (S). There is a
TOUGH boss fight here, Tao Pai Pai. He has 6400 HP and is THE toughest
boss you've met thus far in the game. Battle intelligently. The DB is the
reward for your victory.
#5) Head to the Snowy Highlands. Its the (N) most place you can access. The
trail is pretty straightforward. The DB obtained here is in the (NE) most
room. There are about 5 or 6 Saber-Toothed Tigers guarding it. They have
1500 HP, so it may take a bit to kill them all.
#6) Gingertown is where this one lies. Use the (SW) exit from the first area.
It is in an area where you probably have been already. Pie
#7) The 7 star DB is in the Tropical Islands. Open your Scouter. The gray
area is where you haven't been yet. Thats where the DB is.

---Talk to Dende on the Lookout
Everyone is there. There is a Character Gate for Goku, Lv. 40. You should be
past there already if you've used Goku any since obtaining him. Goku decides
to fight Cell first, but before Goku steps in the ring...Hercule steps up
running his mouth like he always does. Hercule TRIES to do Cell harm...but
gets his ass smacked out of the ring. NOW Goku gets to fight.
Scouter reading:
Cell, "Perfect"
HP: 6500

END: 60
Best strategy is what I've been saying for all bosses in this Walkthrough.
Hit him with a rhythm back and forth. Stay on him and he won't have hardly
any time to attack you. Simple, no? When Cell has about 3/4 health left, he
gets tired of fighting in the ring and destroys it. When Cell has about 1/2
his health left, Goku gives up. Theres one more person for Cell to fight, he
says. Gohan.
Cell's health is back to full. Run (N) and get behind the rock and go SS
FAST. Cell will destroy the rock in the time it takes you to transform. Same
tactic AGAIN. When Cell's health is down to 1/2, this round is over.
Cutscene. Gohan tells Cell that ever since he was a kid, he could tell that
he had a hidden power, and if he were pushed too far, theres no telling how
much power he would have and the damage he could do. This intrigues Cell and
he wants to see this power for himself. 16 flies down to Cell with the intent
to blow himself up with a powerful explosive embedded deep in his body...but,
Bulma and Dr. Briefs found the bomb and removed it. Cell then destroys 16.
Gohan still isn't mad enough to trigger his rage, so Cell spawns 3 Cell Jrs.
You get to fight the first as Piccolo.
Scouter reading:
Cell Junior
HP: 4990
STR: 46
POW: 50
END: 46
They're not tough at all, all 3 are the same. Its a bit too quick for you to
be able to go Super Namek on it, so just use your Special Beam Cannon on it
and then hit it back and forth attacking normally.
The 2nd is fought by Vegeta. Don't worry about going SS, just hit him with Ki
or Big Bang blasts then attack normally. Trunks gets the 3rd one. Ki blasts
are your friend. He shouldn't run out of Ki since he has SOOO much so you
shouldn't have a problem with that.
16's head wasn't destroyed and he tells Hercule to take him over to Gohan. He
does reluctantly. 16 tells Gohan to just let go. Gohan wants to preserve life
but in order to do that, he has to use his power. Cell then shoots a blast at
16's head and destroys it. (in the anime he STEPPED on the head) Gohan loses
it. He goes into "Super Saiyan Rage"....he goes SS2. Dummies. Time to fight.
Cell has the same stats as before. He seems to walk a tad faster though. Same
tactics as before....again. When Cell has about 1/4 health left, he falls
down. *fade to black* When it comes back from black, Gohan punches Cell and
18 is regurgitated (she just appears) and Cell reverts back to his
"Nonperfect" form. 18 WALKS away...Krillin doesn't go pick her up like in the
anime...oy. Cell starts to blow himself up now. Goku uses Instant
Transmission to teleport Cell to King Kai's planet where he will blow up. He
took Cell to King Kai's planet because he couldn't think of anywhere else to
take him. He blows up, but we don't see it.
Cell comes back and shoots Trunks, nearly killing him (though some will argue
otherwise) Cell is in his Perfect form however...nobody knows how that was
possible since 18 was spat up, it just did. I guess his cells remembered how
strong he was in his Perfect form and reconstructed his body in his Perfect
form. He also learns the Instant Transmission. Vegeta gets angry and starts
attacking Cell. Cell returns the attack, but Gohan gets in between them. More
talking, Gohan starts to give up hope and guess who chimes in...Goku. A
little more talking....now the fighting.
Scouter reading:
Cell, "Perfect" (actually Ultra Perfect, but there isn't room)
HP: 8230
STR: 60
POW: 59
END: 65
The only difference from before is he has more HP. You know what to do. When
he's down to about 1/4 the fight is over. Cell and Gohan are locked in a
stalemate Ki battle. All thats left to do now is read and watch. The end of
Cell is cheap, but it gets the job done. 500,000 EXP to the victor! Lotsa
EXP. w00t!

XXVIII. Dende's Lookout
-----------------------
Now, you have two options, you can go to the Lookout and talk to Dende or go
help Hercule do his thing.
Going to the Lookout, Dende will use the DBs. I'll leave it at that.
OR
If you unlocked Hercule, you can level him up to level 50 and get into the
ZZTV building in West City. There is no playing after that, just reading.
After all is done with whichever choice you chose to do, the credits roll and
then Future Trunks goes back to his time to kill Androids 17, 18, and
Imperfect Cell easily.
THE END.

***Optional areas***
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
------------
#1 New Namek
------------
You can go to New Namek once you find all 7 missing Namekians and return to
where Vegeta's space ship landed at CC (go (W) from the World Map in front
of the main entrance to CC).
Enter the space ship and you'll leave automatically. When you land, exit the
space ship. Talk to the Namek next to the ship to get Grandpa's Key.
Grandpa's Key can be used to unlock his house, its next to Goku's House.
There isn't much to do here at all. Head (N) and enter the cave. Here you
will be fighting Cooler.
Scouter reading:
Cooler
HP: 10,200
STR: 75
POW: 85
END: 79
You may look at his HP and think or probably say, HOLY ****! However, he is
EASY!!1! He may have more HP than other bosses, but you can tear him up the
same way you can the other bosses. Just keep crowding him and attack with a
rhythm. Knock him from one side of the room to the other. He'll die soon, and
I do mean soon. I used Goku and went SS before I entered the cave. He was
Level 41 with a STR of 77, and POW/END was 74. He does about 100-125 with
each punch and criticals of about 200. Cake.....and you get 600,000 EXP for
besting Cooler. Nice.
You get a POW Capsule +5 when you beat him. The door that opens has
Piccolo's Lv. 50 Character Gate.
Thats all you can do here on New Namek. You CAN come back here whenever you
want, in case Piccolo isn't Lv. 50 this time around.
------------------
#2 Grandpa's House
------------------
I put this in the Optional area since you can only get the key to the house
from an optional area (New Namek).
There isn't much in here. Just a +5 Capsule for each stat (STR, POW, END).
--------------------
#3 Character Statues
--------------------
There are 5 Statues. They are used to unlock a secret character, Hercule. You
can see any Statues you've found in Capsule Corporation's Atrium. You have to
be Level 50 in order to get any of them, so start leveling if you aren't yet.
Gohan: Found outside Gingertown. From the World Map sign, head (W) and
continue (N) 2 screens. Get past the Destroyer to get to the door.
There are 3 Scorpions in the cave. They have 2000 HP. Exit the cave in
the back. Blow through the Snakes here....they're weak. They give Fish
every now and then, if you nees Senzu Beans from Korin. Continue (N).
If you head (N) through the trees, you'll find a END Capsule +5. Now
head back down and go (W). There is a Gold Destroyer here. 4200 HP.
Treat him like a boss.
Piccolo: Find all 7 mising Nameks and return to the place where Vegeta landed
at CC. Enter the space ship and go to New Namek. Defeat Cooler in
the cave at the (N) end of the first area to open the door in the
back of the cave. Piccolo's Gate is here. Only thing to do is to
pick up the Statue.
Vegeta: Go to the Northern Mountains. Make your way to where the barrier
guarding Dr. Gero's lab was. Head (W) and you'll find the Gate. There
are 2 Golden Destroyers in this room. Only one is a threat, the other
is off to the left, fight it if you wish....you don't need the EXP
of course. The Statue is at the (N) end of the room.
Trunks: Go to the Forest (S) of West City. Head (E) out of the first screen
and in the (NE) corner of the second screen is his Gate. This is the
Mushroom Cavern. When you're done with the Eggbots, continue (E).
There are 2 ways to exit this screen but you can only go (E) now.
There is a Gold Destroyer here. Beat him and the door will open in
the previous screen.
Goku: Be Level 50 and finish off the Cell Games stuff. After Hercule finishes
running his mouth, you get Goku's Statue.
If Goku's Statue is the last one you need, Hercule is then unlocked. If not,
go get the missing Statues.
-Secret character- (Hercule)
----------------------------
Some on the Gamefaqs board said that he starts out at Lv. _1_, that is
partly true. If Goku is not Lv. 45 when you beat the Cell Games, Hercule
starts out at Lv. 1. If Goku is AT LEAST Lv. 45 when you beat the Cell Games,
Hercule starts out at Lv. 40. I tried it many times to find out what level
Goku has to be to have Hercule at level 40. The earliest I've found is level
45. His stats still suck and are random, but his Level and EXP are the same
at level 40. I unlocked him twice to see if they were the same, but they
weren't. Go fight some Triceratops behind Goku's Lv. 40 Character Gate in the
Northern Mountains (if you've opened it previously). They give 35,000 EXP a
POP. I'd have to thank too many ppl on the Gamefaqs board for pointing that
out. I never thought of the Triceratops giving so much EXP.
(I have to thank computer kid from the Gamefaqs MB for giving me a clue to
what the minimum level for Goku to be to have Hercule at level 40.
Thanks ;) )
This is his EXP:
EXP: 2,727,775
Next: 607,735
He doesn't have any special attacks really....there is one where he poses for
a camera and the flash freezes all enemies on screen for a couple of seconds.
Other than that just punches in his arsenal.
Once you reach Lv. 50, you can enter the ZZTV building in West City. I won't
be telling anything about Hercule...he's a secret character, so you go play
now. :p

-=Silver Star quests=-
--Get an open faced Club sandwich for Hercule
If you haven't done the quest "Save the four missing children at West City
Highway", you have to do that in order to progress the story. Once you have
done that, go to the Newspaper stand. Clarence will give you a free Newspaper
for saving his son. Take the Newspaper and give it to Floyd at "Big Mouth"
the restaurant. He gives you the open faced Club sandwich you need for
Hercule. Now head (N) 2 screens and give the sandwich to Hercule.
--Save the four missing children at West City Highway
The quest is accessed by talking to Larry, he is standing near the entrance
on the West City Highway. Head (W) and explore the area. There are 2 kids in
this part. Making your way (NE) you'll find an exit to the (E). There are 2
RR robots on the highway, destroy them and talk to Yajirobe standing on the
side of the road. He gives you a Senzu Bean from Korin. Make your way (N) and
up the cliff. Go in the cave to find the 3rd kid and a save point. Exit the
cave and continue to the top of the cliff. Head (W) on the road and use the
Flight Pad to fly down to the bus that crashed to find the final kid. Make
your way back to Larry and the quest is completed.
--Find the album "Eyes of the Lion" and give it to Hercule
Head to the Record shop and talk to the guy. He doesn't have the album, and
directs you to the Antique Shop, its at the top of the screen one screen (N)
of the Record Shop. Talk to Merv and he'll give it to you for free, because
he can't imagine charging anyone for something SO BAD (guess that says
something about Hercule, huh?). Head back to Hercule to complete the quest.
--Destroy the three power generators to drop Dr. Gero's barrier
