INTRODUCTION

The first time I saw this, I thought "Ugh, another DBZ fighting game?" After
playing it, I was thinking "Wow, this isn't as bad as I thought it would be."
Upon realising how good I thought it was compared to other fighting games of
the same style, I decided I had to do something for it. I hadn't written a
game script before, and since I enjoyed the storyline of this so much, I
thought "Sure, I'll do one for this," and, well, here it is.

ABOUT THE SAGA STORIES
===============================================================================
There are three sagas to play; Namek, Android, and Majin Saga. Each one plays
throughout the story of that saga, and will finish at the end of that chapter.
You are not able to choose a character to play as, since this plays through
the sagas as accurate as possible - one character doesn't defeat the entire
android army - characters will be set, depending on the episode and challenger.
At first, only the Namek Saga will be open. To unlock the others, you will have
to buy them from the shop (in the options menu), for 100 points each.

SAGA STORIES

4.1 - NAMEK SAGA

4.1.1 - Scene 1 Saiyan Invasion
Several years after Goku won the World's Martial Arts Tournament...
The Earth was attacked be the Saiyan, a hostile race from beyond the stars.
After he completed his training with King Kai, Goku took the fate of the planet
in his hands and met Vegeta, a Saiyan, in battle.
Vegeta: "Ha, ha, ha... You should be happy that someone so elite is
willing to play with such a low life like you."
Goku: "With a little hard work even a low life can surprise you."
Vegeta: "Ha, ha, ha... Don't waste your breath. You'll need it in battle!"

4.1.2 - Scene 2 Aim for the Planet Namek!
After fighting off Vegeta, Goku heads for planet Namek to revive his dead
friends. But on Namek, Frieza and Vegeta were engaged in a fierce battle for
the Dragon Balls. When the dust settled and the Dragon Balls were collected,
the battle between Goku and Ginyu began.
Goku: "I'm sorry I took so long. But I'm here and I'm ready, so let's do
this!"
Ginyu: "You're confident, but confidence is overrated. Gimme all you got!"
Ginyu: "Ha, ha, ha. This Earthling isn't bad. This could be interesting!"
Ginyu: "I never thought the day would come when I would be pushed to full
power!"

4.1.3 - Scene 3 Ginyu's Great Miscalculation
Ginyu is defeated by Goku, whose power surpassed all expectations. But, Ginyu
had a trick up his sleeve.
Ginyu: "I like it! I like that strong body!"
Goku: "Wha... What? You like it?"
Ginyu: "Change!"
<Screen flashes>
Somehow Ginyu switched his body with Goku's. Having gotten his hands on Goku's
body, Ginyu went to challenge Vegeta. But...
Ginyu: "What? What's happening?! This body should at least exert a power
of 180,000!"
Vegeta: "Ha, ha, ha! It looks like you haven't been able to draw out all
your power at just the right moment! I'll settle this!"

4.1.4 - Scene 4 Frieza's Anger
After Goku got his body back, Krillin acquired the Dragon Balls while Goku
nursed his injuries. Krillin managed to dodge Frieza and call Porunga to bring
Piccolo back to life. However, Frieza, trembling with anger, appeared...
Frieza: "I'll never forgive you, you little bug!!! I'll enjoy watching you
squirm!"
Vegeta: "Go ahead and try! You underestimate this bug's power!"
Frieza: "... ha, ha, ha... Let me show you a fate worse than death!!!"

4.1.5 - Scene 5 Saiyan Pride
Having recovered, Goku ran to the scene of the battle, but Vegeta was almost
lifeless.
Vegeta: "Pl... please... defeat Frieza... I want Frieza to be defeated by
a Sa... Saiyan..."
Entrusting Goku with Saiyan pride, Vegeta died.
Goku: "I'm a Saiyan raised on Earth! For all the Saiyans you've killed...
and for the Nameks here..."
Goku: "Frieza! I'll kill you!!!"
Frieza: "What nonsense..."

4.1.6 - Scene 6 Legendary Super Saiyan
It seemed as though Frieza met his demise by the power of the Spirit Bomb. But
he was still alive. Piccolo lay in defeat. Krillin was nowhere to be found. His
friends' demise was all it took to transform Goku into a Super Saiyan!
<Screen flashes>
Frieza: "How does some... someone like y... you... have that mu... much
power..."
Goku: "You've made me angry!!!! Frieza...a...a!!!"

<Explosions are heard>
As Frieza was backed into a corner by the Super Saiyan Goku, his last resort
was to try and destroy the planet Namek itself. With the planet starting to
break apart, Vegeta and the people of Namek escaped to Earth. But Goku remained
behind to settle a score.

4.2 - ANDROID SAGA

4.2.1 - Scene 1 Boy from the Future
One year has passed since the battle on Planet Namek. But Goku has yet to
return. Somehow Frieza survived the battle and arrived on Earth! However,
Frieza, who wanted to annihilate all the people of Earth, was confronted by a
boy bearing a sword.
Frieza: "Is there something I can help you with, Earthling?"
Trunks: "I've come to kill you."
Before a surprised Gohan, Piccolo, and Vegeta, the battle between Frieza and
the mysterious Super Saiyan began.

4.2.2 - Scene 2 The Appearance of Androids
A few years later... Just as it was prophesized by Trunks, who came from the
future, a new enemy appeared: The Androids!
To stop the Androids from destroying the cities and people of Earth, Goku
returned to meet them in battle.
Goku: "Ok, everyone! Stay back! It's me they want!"
Dr. Gero: "Goku... I'll steal your energy and leave you for dead!"

4.2.3 - Scene 3 Android 18 versus Vegeta
During the battle, Goku collapsed with a virus. To save him, Vegeta appeared
as a Super Saiyan! Seeing the odds were against him, Dr. Gero fled. However,
Androids 17 and 18 rebelled against Gero, tracked him down, and killed him.
Attaining freedom, Android 18 ignored Vegeta and was off to defeat Goku. With
his pride damaged, Vegeta went to war against the Androids.
Vegeta: "Stop messing around you brainless idiots! Today you die!"
#18: "You over did it... It's okay. I'll do it."

4.2.4 - Scene 4 Evil Premonition
Before 18's overwhelming power, Vegeta was easily defeated. In order to defeat
the Androids, the heroes began intensive training. During this time, the
future's biggest threat, Cell, arrived on Earth. After merging with Kami,
Piccolo once again becomes a pure Namekian and heads off to face Cell.
Piccolo: "Who are you and what do you want here?"
Cell: "Insignificant creature. You'll soon be absorbed and know my full
power!"
Piccolo: "Humph. I've heard enough. I'll choke your life away with my bare
hands!"

4.2.5 - Scene 5 Cell's Perfect Body
Narrowly escaping the battle with Piccolo, Cell absorbed Android 17 and set off
to track down Android 18. But, Krillin stepped between them, fully prepared to
die.
Krillin: "Get out of here! Escape while you can, 18!"
Cell: "Resistance is pointless... Absorbing 18 has already been
determined..."
#18: "... Who? Who's going to be absorbed by you?!"

4.2.6 - Scene 6 Chilling Message
Absorbing 18, Cell finally became perfect. The ultimate Android headed out to
battle Vegeta and Trunks, who were training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Vegeta: "Hmm...so he's supposed to be perfect. I'll shred him to pieces."
Trunks: "... I'm tired of a nightmare for a future... I'll kill you,
Cell!!!"
Cell: "Are you here to warm me up?"
Vegeta: "Call it what you will. You'll never get past the first round!"

4.2.7 - Scene 7 Cell Games
It looked as if Vegeta defeated Cell, but, Cell had yet to go all-out. Cell
revived and defeated Vegeta. He then declared the start of the "Cell Games" to
the world. Unless Cell was defeated in battle, all of mankind on Earth would be
killed. Having completed their training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku
and Gohan competed in the Cell Games with the fate of the entire world in their
hands.
Cell: "Welcome to the Cell Games."
Goku: "Let's not waste any more of your time. Are you ready, Gohan?!"
Gohan: "... Yes!!!"
<Fight as level 2 Goku, and level 2 Gohan, against level 2 Cell, and level 3
Cell>
Cell was completely defeated by Goku an Gohan's Kamehameha Wave. Finally, with
the Cell Games ended, peace returned to the planet. Those who gave their lives
battling the Androids were revived with the Dragon Balls. The warriors once
again returned to their tranquil, daily training...

4.3 - MAJIN SAGA

4.3.1 - Scene 1 Confrontation of Fate
Goku vs. Vegeta
Not long after the battle with Cell, Earth's peace was once again interrupted.
The evil mage Babidi, who planned to revive Majin Buu, appeared. Babidi
manipulated Vegeta by taking advantage of his evil heart and tried to make him
fight Goku. Babidi hoped to revive Majin Buu with the energy released from the
battle.
Vegeta: "The time has come to settle this, Kakarot!"
Goku: "I didn't know you wanted to fight me so badly, Vegeta."
Vegeta: "You mock me! I'll finish you!"

4.3.2 - Scene 2 Resurrection of Majin Buu
Babidi's plan succeeded. With the energy from the battle of Goku and Vegeta,
Majin Buu was revived.
Buu: "...Buuuuuu!!!"
Babidi commends the revived Majin Buu to kill Supreme Kai and Gohan...
Buu: "Fu, fu, fu...n!"
Supreme Kai: "Wha... what's happening... it... it's too late. I can't
escape..."
Buu: "Die!"
Gohan: "... Ah!"

4.3.3 - Scene 3 Great Proud Warrior
Gohan's desperate resistance was for naught. Majin Buu easily beat the two of
them.
Vegeta: "... I released Majin Buu. I'll deal with him..."
With Buu revived, Vegeta stopped his battle with Goku and left to confront Buu.
Buu: "Now I'm angry! I'll kill you!!!"
Vegeta: "I won't leave this world alone. I'll make all of you my traveling
companions!"

4.3.4 - Scene 4 Two Majin Buu's
<Explosions heard>
Despite repeated attempts to destroy Buu, nothing could be done to keep him
down for good. But Vegeta had a plan.
<Loud explosion>
By sacrificing himself, the Saiyan Prince hoped Buu would be destroyed for
good. However, even Vegeta's final attack could not completely annihilate Majin
Buu.
<Explosions stop>
Hercule was able to convince Buu that killing humans was wrong. However, due to
the actions of a few evil humans, Majin Buu and Evil Buu separated.
Buu (Evil): "..."
Buu: "... Ha!"
Buu (Evil): "... He, he, he..."
Buu: "I... I'll make you into cho... chocolate!"

4.3.5 - Scene 5 Good Luck Super Gotenks
After Evil Buu absorbed Majin Buu, he felt intense hatred and invaded Kami's
Lookout. Awaiting him in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber was a new warrior, created
from the fusion of Goten and Trunks, Gotenks.
Gotenks: "Tah-dah! We've been waiting for you, Majin Buu!"
Buu: "So you'll be the first to die."
Gotenks: "Ha, ha, ha... Be prepared to be shred into pieces, Majin Buu!"

4.3.6 - Scene 6 Great Counterattack by Gohan
Finally, Gotenks backs Buu into a corner. But the fusion collapsed before
Gotenks could deliver the final blow. Gohan managed to save Goten and Trunks
after completing his training with the Kais.
Buu: "He, he, he... Hey, you aren't expecting to fight me, are you?"
Gohan: "Wrong. I expect to kill you."
Buu: "Ho! Ho, ho, ho! I remember you! I nearly killed you once before."
Gohan: "You... won't win..."

4.3.7 - Scene 7 The Final Battle
Gohan seemed to have the upper hand, however Buu was able to absorb him.
Finally, Goku and Vegeta join forces to fight for the fate of the entire
universe. With the stage set, the final battle was about to begin.
Buu: "... Haa..."
Goku: "All right, if we are defeated, the entire universe will
collapse... We have to go all out!!!"
Vegeta: "Ahh... I'll stop this right here and now!!!"

<Explosions heard>
With the aid of the Spirit Bomb, Majin Buu vanished. With the power of the
Dragon Balls, the world that Majin Buu totally destroyed was returned, and all
the people that were killed, were revived.
In this way, peace finally returned to the world. Even with peace restored,
Goku continued his training to become stronger...
Unkown dangers may still threaten Earth, but with hard work and pure heart,
nothing is impossible to overcome.
There is nothing left to fear with the awesome power of the Dragon Balls!

Q: Why write out the entire script?
A: I was surprised when I first played this game. I enjoyed it a lot, and
thought I should do something for it. The storyline was one of my favourite
sections, and therefore, I decided to write the script.
Q: If you liked the game so much, why not write an entire walkthrough for it?
A: To be honest, I don't want to. There are already walkthroughs for the game,
and I wanted to try my hand at writing a game script.
Q: Why not scripts for EVERY story?
A: The IF stories (character-specific stories) aren't as interesting or
accurate as the sagas, and the saga stories have more diversity (you use a
wider range of characters, including both heroes and enemies).
Q: Why don't you tell us how to defeat opponents!
A: That would make it a Story Walkthrough, and it's not. This was only intended
to cover the scripts (story text) of each saga.
