In this FAQ I have typed the dialogue and story related text that appears in
Double Dragon Advance for Game Boy Advance.

* Prologue *

Five years ago, much of the world
was destroyed in a nuclear war.
Peace abruptly came to an end.
The setting is New York City,
in the aftermath of the war.
Twin brothers live on the outskirts
of town.
Their names are Billy and Jimmy Lee.
They manage a small Kung Fu gym
where they train their students
to survive in the hostile city.
One day,
the Lee brothers receive a letter.
"If you want Marian back, bring us
the secret book of Sou-Setsu-Ken.
-The Shadow Warriors-"
The Shadow Warriors?
They are the dominant criminal
organization in New York.
Their leader is a man names Willy.
Billy: The time has finally come to
put the skills we've learned from
our Master to the test!
We'll surely come home safely.
Forgive us for disobeying
your teachings...
They spoke to their late Master
silently in their hearts,
as they faced his portrat.
The battle has now begun!

Billy: Where is your boss, the head of
the Shadow Warriors!?
Abobo: I, I only... work for him...
I don't know where he is.
There's a monster wearing a mask
in the factory up ahead...

Burnov: Mwahahaha, I admit that you've
got some unbelievable skills!
You should go to Willy's
martial arts gym in Chinatown.
It's not far from here.

I won't say anymore, Mwahahah!

The sun has set in Chinatown,
the dangerous area also known as
"The Town of Two Tigers."

You're stronger than I thought.

the Five Emperors using your

Billy: So, they're the ones pulling
the strings in this town.

We oughtta teach those villains
the power of Sou-Setsu-Ken!
We'lll chase them to the edge
of the earth!
The Lee brothers hitch a ride on
the Shadow Warriors' truck
headed to an unknown location...

This fight is my last!
I've heard that there is a hidden
fortress beyond the forest.
Continue if you dare.
But remember, your life is at stake!
A dark, menacing path awaits

The giant door leads to a vast cave.
The air is thick with danger.

of Gen-Setsu-Ken!
We wish to challenge your
martial art style with our own.
Come to the Grand Hall!
Billy: So it was the Gen-Setsu-Ken,

I guess there's no other way.
We accept your challenge!

Raymond: What great skill...
Sou-Setsu-Ken...
I would have liked to meet
under different circumstances...
Willy and the girl are both
behind that door.

The Lee brothers trembled with rage.
Billy: Prepare yourself, Willy!

Billy: There aren't any secrets
in that book! It's all in our blood.
WE are the secret!
Willy lay still from exhaustion.
The Shadow Warriors had been
decimated by two brave young men.
Peace reigned once again.
The Lee brothers were the talk of
the town, but the twins and Marian
were already long gone.
Where could they have gone?
No one knew for certain.
The courage of the Lee brothers
grew into a legend.
People called them
the "Double Dragon."
