The Little Mermaid: Magic in Two Kingdoms is a retelling of the story of
Disney's The Little Mermaid film via a series of short mini-games. Each mini-
game has its own unique controls and objectives. There are a total of eight
games to play in order to complete the game. This guide breaks each mini-game
down and tells you how to complete each one.
NOTE: The mini-games do not have actual names, so I have taken the liberty of
naming them myself. Hopefully they are self-explanatory.

D-Pad: Move Ariel/Flounder
A: Create bubble (as Flounder). Bubbles can be used to move treasures.
D-Pad Left or Right + B: Dash/Tackle (as Flounder). Use this to move crates
and pop bubbles.
Guide
\-------/
This game takes place in two rooms. In each room, you need to collect all five
treasures in order to proceed.
When the game begins, Ariel will point out a treasure on the floor. Move Ariel
over the treasure to pick it up. Try swimming right and Ariel will point out
the hole in the bottom of the floor; she can't fit through it, but Flounder
can. He will swim through, and you'll be in another screen with control of
Flounder. Swim all the way down to the bottom and the game will instruct you in
the use of bubbles for guiding treasures. Press 'A' next to the treasure to
create a bubble around it and guide it to the top and through the hole. Back
in the main room, Ariel will automatically pick up the treasure.
Swim right some more and you'll encounter another hole; Flounder will again
squeeze through and you'll be in control of him again. You'll see two empty
bubbles stacked on top of a third containing the next treasure. The game will
instruct you in the use of Flounder's dash/tackle move for popping bubbles by
popping the first bubble. Use the move yourself to pop the second bubble, then
guide the treasure up to the hole. Back in the main room, have Ariel collect
the treasure.
Swim to the right and you'll see a treasure lying on the stairs; collect it.
There's one more hole for Flounder to squeeze through, in the top-center of
the room. Approach it to gain control of Flounder again.
The game instructs you in the use of Flounder's tackle move for
moving large boxes. Use it to push the box over to the right, then swim up and
over to the treasure. Guide it over to the right, just past the ledge, then pop
the bubble and let it sink past the ledge. Guide it quickly over to the right
and down into the hole. Have Ariel collect it. You will automatically proceed
to the second room.
Swim down and to the right to approach the hole. As Flounder, guide the
treasure (already in a bubble) to the hole and have Ariel collect it. Swim
over to the right and you'll see another hole in the bottom. Approach it. As
Flounder, swim down past the purple sea urchin and get to the bottom of the
room. You'll see the treasure lying on the floor. Scoop it up in a bubble, then
guide it up to the hole, taking care not to let the bubble pop on the urchin.
(Don't touch the urchin yourself, either!) Have Ariel collect the treasure.
Swim to the right and you'll see a third treasure waiting for you on top of
a wooden crate. Now swim to the hole in the top-right, on the ceiling. As
Flounder, swim right and push the box to the right, then swim up and over to
the treasure. Shove the bubble with the sea urchin out of the way (but don't
tackle the bubble or you'll free the urchin), then pop the treasure's bubble
and guide the treasure over to the hole. Have Ariel collect the treasure.
The last area is a hole in the top-left of this room. As Flounder, swim all
the way to the top of the area, past the sea urchins. At the top, push the box
over to the right and it will rest gently inside a box-shaped hole. Swim right
and you'll see the treasure lying on the floor. Grab it with a bubble, guide it
over to the left, then pop the bubble and carefully guide the treasure to the
hole while avoiding the purple sea urchins.
When Ariel collects this final treasure, a treasure chest falls from the sky.
To open the chest, you need to solve a simple puzzle. Guide the shell from the
starting point in the upper-right to the end-point in the lower-left. You can
move the shell one square at a time. If the square you move to reveals itself
to be a shark, you'll have to start over. Just remember where all the sharks
are as you reveal them and you'll eventually find the path to the exit.
Fortunately, the game never forces you to retrace your steps (meaning, you
won't ever have to go right and down before going left, for example), so as
long as you keep moving generally down and left, you'll eventually stumble your
way through the maze.
Once you solve the puzzle, the mini-game ends.

SAVE THE SAILOR
+-----------------+
Controls
\----------/
D-Pad Up: Swim upward.
D-Pad Left/Right: Swim left or right.
A: Press to swim faster.
B: Rapidly mash to escape nets; later, use it to save Prince Eric.
Guide
\-------/
In this game, you have to swim from the bottom of the screen to the top as
quickly as possible. The meter on the right keeps track of how much time you
have left. In the top left is a seashell that keeps track of how much health
you have left; this decreases when you get hit by falling debris and increases
when you pick up seashell icons.
The first screen introduces the basic concepts: swim forward to proceed, swim
left or right to dodge falling debris (such as wooden barrels or boards), and
grab glistening or sparkling objects and place them in the bubbles that appear
to add more time to the clock. Once these have been introduced, keep swimming
up and you'll proceed to the next screen. The second screen introduces more
debris as well as the seashell icons for healing; keep swimming upward to the
next screen.
The third screen introduces nets; dodge these if you can, as it wastes time
trying to escape. Keep swimming up to the next screen. This fourth screen
throws in puffer fish for good measure. When they're deflated, they won't harm
you; when they inflate, however, you'll take damage if you try to swim through
them. Persevere and make it to the next screen. This screen will combine
everything you've encountered up to this point. Try not to rush too hard, make
sure to grab every glistening piece of treasure for extra time (but don't get
hit while carrying treasure or you'll drop it!) and you'll make it to the next
screen.
On the last screen, grab Prince Eric and mash 'B' until the mini-game ends.

A, B, R, L, D-Pad: Press when prompted to keep the music in tune.
Guide
\-------/
In essence, this is a much less fun version of rhythm games like Dance Dance
Revolution or Guitar Hero. (Or, in other words, a much less fun version of
Atlantica from Kingdom Hearts 2.) Simply press the buttons as they appear in
bubbles from the bottom of the screen to fill up the music meter. The game
starts you off with just 'A' and 'B', but eventually mixes in the D-Pad
directions as well as the shoulder buttons. As the game progresses, you'll
also get longer sequences of buttons to rattle off per measure, and the bubbles
will appear faster and faster. Just keep pressing the buttons as they appear
and you will easily pass this mini-game.

\-------/
In this mini-game, you'll be chasing Flostam and Jetsam to Ursula's lair.
Simply press Up or Down to move Ariel and guide her through the rings that
the eels will make appear. The game will help you by providing directional
arrows if you get too far below or above the eels, so that you will never miss
any of the rings. There are four screens of this game; each time, the eels will
go a little faster, so make sure to keep up with them and you will finish this
mini-game with ease.

SEBASTIAN A LA MODE

Controls
\----------/
D-Pad Left/Right: Move Sebastian.
A: Jump.
A (while in the air): Double-jump.
B: Open crab cages with Sebastian's claws.
Guide
\-------/
The most skill-based mini-game in the whole game is this one, which is
essentially a mini-platformer. Guide Sebastian from left to right, jumping
over the various foodstuffs, wine bottles, dishes, and assorted kitchenware.
The sections are timed, but you can clear your time meter in one of two ways.
First, scattered throughout each level are crab cages with blue crabs trapped
inside. Stand in front of the cage and press 'B' to free the crabs, emptying
the time meter. The other way is to run underneath the green leaves that can
be found once or twice per level. Each time you hide underneath a leaf, the
meter resets, but the leaf will be swept away. You can use the Jell-O pudding
and the tall stack of bread to boost Sebastian to even higher heights than his
double-jump can reach.
The first two levels are straightforward. Just try to avoid anything sticky (it
will slow Sebastian down) and jump over everything to proceed. The third level
introduces fire via the grills; avoid these at all costs by jumping on the
platforms just above them. Stay high off the ground in levels three and four,
as most of the floor will be fiery death for Sebastian. Once you complete the
fourth level, you're done with this mini-game!

KISS THE GIRL
+---------------+
Guide
\-------/
This mini-game recreates the famous "Kiss the Girl" scene from the movie.
To complete it, keep the spotlight firmly shining on Eric and Ariel. In the
first two parts of this game, when Sebastian is instructing you on how to
play, the boat will only move left and right; in the later sections, it will
also move up and down. Just keep track of the boat with the D-Pad and press 'A'
when instructed and you'll quickly fill up the romance meter. After the fourth
section, the mini-game is complete.

A, B, L, R: Disrupt Vanessa/break the charm.
Guide
\-------/
Stop the wedding! Mash the button that appears over Vanessa's head until she is
distracted, then press the buttons that pop up around the seashell charm to
crack it. Do this five times to complete this mini-game.

QUEEN OF THE SEA
+------------------+
Controls
\----------/
D-Pad: Aim the cannon.
A: Fire.
Guide
\-------/
The last mini-game of the whole game is an exciting one. Use the D-Pad to aim
the cannon at Ursula's tentacles, then press 'A' to fire a cannonball at them.
When you clear a section of this mini-game, the next section will start with a
whole wall of tentacles; work quickly to take them all down. The seashell in
the upper-left is your health meter. As with the "Save the Sailor" mini-game,
you can move the cursor over the seashell icons that appear to recover health.
The fourth and final section of this mini-game features several large tentacles
in the background. Fire at these tentacles while also taking down the smaller
tentacles that appear in the water. Once you've taken Urusula's health down to
zero, you've won the mini-game!
For completing the entire game, you unlock the ability to go back and play any
of the mini-games at your own leisure. Congratulations on completing the game!
