======================================================================

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    01.01 Author's Notes
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome.  I'm back again with another GBA FAQ for Crazy Frog Racer
after making a FAQ for the GBA version of Need for Speed: Most
Wanted two days ago.  This is my third GBA FAQ, and my 15th complete
one.

Crazy Frog Racer is a racing game released in Europe (only, as far
as I know), which features the annoying Crazy Frog.  Crazy Frog is
internationally popular for his music hits Axel F, Popcorn, and
Jingle.  If you'd like to know more about the annoying thing, check
out <<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crazy_Frog>>.

This FAQ covers the GBA version of the game.  I haven't played the
other PC and PS2 versions and I have no idea how different they are.

The game is pretty simple and is kind of funny.  It's a short game
comparing with others, and it's very easy.  It's similar to the
kart racing games, like the Mario or Crash games, but is way more
limited than them.

Anyway, if you'd like to add things to this FAQ, or got questions,
corrections, or FAQ hosting requests, email me at
<<badboy_{{at}}mailcan.com>>.  Have a nice day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    01.02 Revision History
----------------------------------------------------------------------

O  Version 1.00 | 01/12/2006 | Size: 12.6 KB
   Complete guide, first release.

======================================================================
                             02. Basics
======================================================================

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    02.01 Controls
----------------------------------------------------------------------

  A...................................................Acceleration
  B........................................................Reverse

  Right/Left..............................................Steering
  Up/Down...................................................No use

  R.......................................................Use item
  L.........................................................No use

  START......................................................Pause
  SELECT....................................................No use

There is no button for braking/slowing down.  If you would like to
slow down (even though you won't really need to, unless you play
150 cc), release the acceleration button (A).  However, if you
release A, you can stop the kart immediately by press B and go
reverse.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    02.02 The Boxes
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Try your best to get the boxes you see.  They contain weapons,
protection, or speeding items.  So use them whenever you need to.
Press R to do that.

Take note that in most of the times, if you get another weapon
before using the one you have, you will not be able to use the one
you had.  Also, sometimes if you have a protection item and got
another one, using it will cancel the first.

======================================================================
                             03. Modes
======================================================================

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    03.01 Tournament
----------------------------------------------------------------------

In Tournament, there are three classes: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
You play in four different tracks in each class, three laps for each
track.  Here's how many points you get for each position:

  1st: 8 points
  2nd: 7 points
  3rd: 6 points
  4th: 5 points
  5th: 4 points
  6th: 3 points
  7th: 2 points
  8th: 1 point

In order to unlock the Silver class, you should win Bronze.  Winning
the Silver class unlocks the Gold class.

There are three speeds for the karts: 50, 100, and 150 cc.
Unlocking a class while playing any of them will also unlock it in
other speeds.

In addition, completing a class will also unlock its tracks for the
other three modes: Checkpoint Rallye, Checkpoint Madness, and Last
Man Standing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    03.02 Checkpoint Rallye
----------------------------------------------------------------------

In Checkpoint Rallye, you should reach the checkpoint before the
time ends.  You will not play with opponents, so it's just like a
time trial.  You have three laps to go.  Of course, it's easier to
drive the 150 cc since they are faster.  In order to unlock more
tracks, you should win the Silver and Gold classes in the Tournament
mode.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    03.03 Checkpoint Madness
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Checkpoint Madness is similar to Checkpoint Rallye.  You have to
reach the checkpoint before the time ends to extend the time.  You
have three laps to go, but you must also end the race in the 1st
position.  Opponents will not eliminate if they do not reach the
checkpoint before the times ends.  The timer and the checkpoint is
only for you.  Using the 150 cc karts make it easier to win since
the same time is used for all speeds.  Like Checkpoint Rallye, you
are supposed to win the Silver and Gold classes in the Tournament
mode to unlock the extra 11 tracks.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
    03.04 Last Man Standing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Last Man Standing is like a war.  No laps, no timers, no positions.
All you have to do is to get the weapons from the boxes and try to
destory all of your opponents.  You have a health gauge on the top
left of the screen, so watch out.  The last one who stays alive
wins.

You are not supposed to be in the lead.  And you are not supposed to
drive forward.  All you should think of is how to destory the
opponents and stay with as less damage as possible.

You can easily win by getting the blue rockets and blast an enemy.
When you blast it, go near it and shoot more rockets (since they are
five).  You can also stop near the three boxes, get them and keep
searching for rockets.  Then when you find some, head in the wrong
way.  When an opponent passes you follow it and keep shooting.

This is how I beat this mode with ease.

Like Checkpoint Rallye and Checkpoint Madness, you should complete
the Silver and Gold classes in the Tournament mode to unlock the
extra 11 tracks.
