iii. VERSION INFORMATION
--------------------------------------------------------------------

  Version 1.0
    - Walkthrough complete!!!

  Version 1.1
    - Added particle effects to Codes and Secrets.

  Version 1.2
    - I feel kinda stupid as the Table of Contents only has the
walkthrough listed up through Autumn Fairy Home. So I fixed
      that.

I. STORY
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Spyro, Hunter, and Bianca are on the beach, getting some rays.

Hunter: Hey Spyro, I think I see a Flying Sheep Saucer heading
straight for us! Let's get out of here before it abducts
            us!
Spyro: That's not a Flying Sheep Saucer, Hunter, it's just a
           balloon.
Bianca: Look... There's a note here from Zoe. It says, 'Dear
Spyro, I'm using every last drop of my magic to send you
this message. Someone has cast a powerful spell over the
Fairy World, freezing fairies in Ice Crystals. And we
can't get out!. Now, the Rhynocs are back and collecting
fairies one by one. I wish I knew what they were up to.
Please come back before it's too late.'
Spyro: This is terrible. We have to go help Zoe.
    Hunter: And all the fairies.
Bianca: While you go see what's happening in the Fairy World,
I'll check the Sorceress's Spell Book for something we
can use to find out who's behind this.
Hunter: You know, Bianca, I haven't seen you carrying the Spell
            Book in a few days.
Bianca: What do you mean? I never let it out of my sight. It's
            right in my bag...
Bianca: OH NO! My Spell Book! Where is it? I must have left it at
the library when I was picking up that travel book for
our Dragon Shores vacation. I've gotta go find it!
Spyro: Bianca, while you find your Spell Book, Hunter, Sparx, and
I will go find those fairies.
    Bianca: Ok. See you soon!

--------------------------------------------------------------------
II. CHARACTERS
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Spyro - The main character. He's a nice, kind, purple dragon that
talks... well at least until he breathes fire at you. You
          play as him.

Hunter - He teaches Spyro how to do things in the game, such as
           gliding.

Bianca - She is the sorceress that opens up new portals once you
           have enough fairies.

Sparx - The dragonfly that follows Sparx around. He also acts as
the health meter. He can go into special mini-levels as
          well, such as Ant Farm.

Rhynocs - The evil baddies in the game. They come in varieties,
including ones that charge toward you, and others that
            throw things at you.

Moneybags - The money-seeking rich entrepreneur... every game's
gotta have one. You pay him ever-increasing amounts
of gems to enter mini-levels that Sparx flies in.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
III. BASICS
--------------------------------------------------------------------

  Controls
A: Jump, (while jumpin) Glide, (while gliding) Hover; Select
    B: Breath fire; Cancel
    Start: Pause menu.
    Select: Atlas book (view totals)
    R: Charge
L: Hold and move D-Pad to look around

  Gems
    Red: 1
    Green: 2
    Purple: 5
    Gold: 10

  Other
Ice Crystal: Breath fire on it to release the fairy inside.
Jar with fly inside: Extra life
Vase/Pot/Barrel: Charge through to break it and reveal a gem.
Key: Collect to open the chest.
Chest: With key, touch it and receive a treasure of gems.

  - In each level there are also "burnable" items. When burnt, they
might melt, shrivel, light up, etc. When all in a level are
activated you'll be sent to an area and you'll find an Ice Crystal.
  - In the fairy worlds, you cannot fall and get hurt. In all other
ones you can fall, but you can also glide over them.
  - Sparx's color represents the health. Yellow means you're at
full health, and can take 3 hits before going out. Blue means
you can take 2 hits. Green is 1. And without Sparx means one hit
    will be very "ouchie."
  - Find various "critters" that roam in herds, like the sheep or
frogs. Burn or charge them to gain one level of health, up to
    yellow color Sparx.
  - Rhynocs give you a gem when you defeat them the first time.
  - In each level there is also a small icon on the bottom right.
This is the specialty of each level. You might have to ring some
bells, light lighthouses, or kill pterodactyls. Once you have
enough you'll get an Ice Crystal with a fairy.
  - If you haven't yet, read the instruction manual.

IV. WALKTHROUGH
--------------------------------------------------------------------

A. Autumn Fairy Home

After the opening, the first screen will pop up. You should notice
the three things on the top part of the screen. First is the gem
count. You should have automatically had the green gem near you
pulled toward you so you have 2 gems (2 total). Walk up, get the
red gem (3) then charge the barrel with R for another (4). Go left
and get the two reds (6). Go all the way right and hop up the ledge.
Get the three reds (9) then melt the Ice Crystal for Gabrielle (1).
Fall down the ledge to the bottom right and collect the three reds
(12). Ram the barrel for a green (14) then collect the two reds to
the right of you (16). Ram the barrel for another green (18) then
breath fire on the jar to gain an extra life. Hop up and get the
red you missed to the left (19). Head right then up and burn the
pumpkin. Get the red gem below you (20) then the other below the
ledge (21). Ram the pot on the right for a purple (26) and get
the green above (28). Hop to the upper right ledge and collect the
two reds and one green (32). Then, get the purple to the right (37).
You'll see a portal here. If you walk up to it, you'll see that
you'll need 20 fairies to open it. Now, retrace your steps to the
pumpkin. Go up and right to get a green (39). Go up for another (41)
and left for another (43). Hunter will teach you about charging
if you want. Go up and get the red (44). Head diagonally right-up
until you get a red (45). Go right and find a green hiddden by the
tree (47). Go above and ram the pot for another (49). Go above and
you'll find yet another (51). Now retrace your steps to the tree,
and go up-left from it to get a red (52). Go up-left for another
one (53). Get the two greens above (57) and go right-up to get the
two reds (59) and another pumpkin. Go down-left then up-left to
get a red (60). Hop onto the ledge for another one (61), and up
to the next for another (62). Hop to the one right of you for
another (63). Go down to the right and light the pumpkin. Then
burn the barrel on the right for a red (64). Hop on the ledge for
a green (66), then a purple (71). Go left for a red (72) and green
  (74) then ram the pot for a purple (79) and get the green (81).
Go to the upper-right ledge for a purple (86) then left for a
  green (88). Hop to the upper-left for a green (90), gold (100),
and purple (105). Before you fall off, get ready to glide. You
have to be careful not to glide over water because then you'll
be transported back to land. So jump off the area inbetween the
towers, then immediately push A to glide strictly down-left!
Once you find the lower ledge with the goodies, glide up-left so
you land. Get the gold (115) and purple (120) gems, then release
Autumn (2). Now fall off the ledge to the right and get the
green gem (122). Go left for another (124). Go down-left and
light the pumpkin. Go down then right for two reds (126). Go to
the right and release Torrie (3) then get the red (127). Go left
from there for a red (128). Above and to the left is a pumpkin,
so light it. Down-left is a green (130). Before you go down,
go all the way up for a green (132) and red (133). Then, go back
down and collect the gems (138). Go down along the ledge so that
you go right and to the two mushroom towers. Ignore the ledge and
go right for four reds along the path (142). Go to the ledge on
the right and hop on for a red (143) then get the other gems (155)
and go left and up so you can burn the barrel for a red (156).
Hop onto the ledge above and right to get two reds (158). Go left
and you'll see the portal to Mermaid Coast. Remember this because
you'll need to come here later. Get the purple on the left (163).
Fall bottom right and then again for two reds (165). Go all the
way left to burn a barrel for a red (166) then the other one (167).
Go up, left, down, left, then right to get a green (169). Go down-
left for a green (171) and red (172). Pop the jar for a life, then
get the red (173). Hop onto the ledge above for another (174). Get
the green (176) and light the pumpkin above. Get the upper-left
red (177) then charge all the way right for three greens (183).
Also get the upper-right red (184). Now go all the way left again
and get the two greens (188). Hop on the ledge and get the two
reds (190) and purple (195). Collect the other red (196) and
purple (201) to the right. You'll see the Lava Prairie portal.
Remember where it is, then burn the barrel for a red (202). Go
up to the right, then left for a green (204). Go up-left again for
two more (208). Go down-left for a green (210) then hop on the
ledge. Light the pumpkin, then go up-right for a gold (220) and
purple (225). Talk to Hunter and he'll tell you to glide right.
Make sure you don't glide on the water like before, and do it.
Once you're there, get the two greens (229) and release Summer (4).
Glide to the ledge on the right before doing anything else. Get
the purple (234). Go up for a red (235) then burn the barrel for
another (236). Get the gold (246). Glide back to where Summer was,
then go up for two greens (250) and a red (251). Get the other red
above (252) then the two greens (256) and purple (261). Get the
two reds (263). Go down the ledge and get the gold (273) then
burn open the barrel for a purple (278). Go up for a green (280)
then left for a gold (290) then light the pumpkin. Get the red on
the left (291) then the three below (294) and the pot which has a
purple (299). One more. Go up to the tree, then go right to the
the other one. Go down-right past the fairy, then down-left to
get the final red gem (300). Now, hold right and keep going and
going and going until you reach the right end of the level. Now,
go up-right and burn the pumpkin. You'll be transported to an Ice
Crystal, which contains Grace (5). Now you can go to Lava Prairie
  or Mermaid Coast.
Current Totals: 300 gems, 5 fairies

  1. Mermaid Coast
    Fairies: 0
Location: Around the center, up some ledges (near the three
              mushroom tower structure and Gabrielle)

So this is your first real level, huh? Well, watch out for
Rhynocs, but they do give you gems. Also, the specialty item in
this game is the sandcastle, as well as the lighthouses. Blow
fire to light them. As you enter the level, get the red gem (1)
then talk to Steffi. She's give you a job, which is to get rid
of all the Rhynocs. Then she'll give you an Ice Crystal. Yeah,
also watch out for water, cause you can die ;). Okay. From
Steffi, get the green gem (3) and go down-left for a red (4).
Now either charge or burn the Rhynoc dressed as a pirate. If
you touch him, you'll get hurt. Once he's gone you'll get a
green gem (6). Also burn the sandcastle. Get the other two greens
    (10) and red (11). You should notice the chest. Once you get the
key, come back and you can open it and get all the treasure in it.
Go up right for a red (12) and green (14). Go all the way up and
get the red (15), then move right for the other (16) and green
    (18) one. Charge down and get the two reds (20). Quickly burn
the Rhynoc for a red (21). If you don't, he'll stop periodically
to cry. Go up then right to get the green (23) and the red below
to the right of it (24). Defeat the enemy and get his green (26)
and the red (27). Burn the sandcastle. Charge all the way up and
get the two reds (29) in your path. Get the red above to the
right (30) then the green (32) and red (33) near it. Find the
red (34) right and above then the other green (36) and red (37)
right of it. Defeat the Rhynoc (38) then collect the greens (42)
near it. Get the red (43) before the bridge and on it (44).
You'll find Stanley, who's going to meet Stacey tonight but you
need to light the lighthouses for him. Go down to the right and
collect the two reds (46) before going across the bridge. Get
the two (48) and the Rhynoc's (49) as well as the red near (50).
Go up left and defeat the Rhynoc (52) and get the green (54).
Then get the close red (55) and the red on the left (56). Burn
the sandcastle down-right of you, then defeat the other pirate
Rhynoc (58). Get the red right (59) and to the bottom-left (61).
Now get the one above (62), burn the frog if needed, get the
green (64), and defeat the Rhynoc (65). Bash the three barrels
    (68) and get the green (70) below. Hop on the ledge above and
get the green (72). Hop on the next ledge for another green (74).
Hop on the left one for a red (75) then right for a purple (80).
Hop right again for a gold (90) then down-right for a red (91).
Blow fire into the top of the lighthouse, then drop down to kill
the Rhynoc (93). Move all the way to the left of the ledge area
and drop down for a green (95) then bash the pots (97) and get
the red (98). Get the other below (99), burn the sandcastle, and
get the green (101). Cross the bridge for a red (102) then go
up-left for the green (104). Go down-right for another (106) and
defeat the Rhynoc (107). Then get the red (108) and get the
purple (113) and two reds (115) below. Release Amy (1). Now,
glide over to the island to the right. Collect the green (117)
and red (118) then burn the Rhynoc (119). Go right for the green
    (121) then up the ledge for another (123). Go up right for a
purple (128) then get the gold (138) to the right. Before going
down, jump up and light the lighthouse. Go down and bop the
Rhynoc (140). Get the red (141) below, then the green before the
bridge (143). Get the red (144), bop the frog if you wish, burn
the sandcastle, and get the other two reds (146). Go up, burn the
sandcastle, defeat the Rhynoc (147) and get the red above (148).
Now go back and cross the bridge (149). Collect another (150)
then pop the jar for an extra life. Hop on the ledge for a green
    (152) and pop the Rhynoc (154). Hop right for a purple (159) and
left-up for a gold (169). Hop and light the lighthouse. Now,
go down and fall off to the pots, and ram them (172) then get the
red above (173) and to the right (174). Defeat the Rhynoc (175)
and get the green (177). Pop the three barrels (180), get the
purple (185), and the green (187). Go right for a red (188) then
up-right for another (189). Go left and cross back over the
bridge, then glide up-left to the shore. Go all the way up-right,
past the bridge. Go right for a red (190) and defeat the Rhynoc
(192). Go down left for a red (193) and green (195) then right
for another (197). Pop the Rhynoc (198) and burn the sandcastle.
Go down, get the green (200) and release Nadia (2). Get the key
and purple gem (205). Now go all the way up for a green (207)
    and red (208) then zig-zag left-right-left-right for a red (209),
red (210), green (212), and red (213). Cross the bridge then
defeat the Rhynoc (214) and get the green gem (216). Go up-right
to get two reds (218) then a green (220). Hop on the ledge to
burn the sandcastle and get the green nearby (222). Hug the
bottom of the lighthouse as you fall down and go on the ledge to
the left and up for a green (224). Go up-left for a red (225)
then collect the purple (230). A gold (240) is above and right,
and a purple (245) is below-right of it. Light the lighthouse
then prepare to jump and glide above-right to the area. Once you
do, blow the barrel (246) and get the green (248). Relase Kathy
    (3) and get the green below (250) and red above (251). Defeat
the Rhynoc (253) and collect the purple (258) and gold (268) up
there. Now, light the lighthouse. He'll give you Rachel (4).
now cross the bridge for two reds (270) and a green (272). Go
left and get the red (273) (don't defeat the Rhynoc yet). Go
right and get the green (275). Blow the three barrels (278) then
up over the ledges and up-right to that place with the unburnt
sandcastle. Burn it now. Release Christine (5). From there, go
up and right to the end, then glide over to the left. Go up and
right and past the bridge, past where Rachel is, past the bridge,
and there to find the Rhynoc. When his parrot is down sneak up
behind to get the red (279) then immediately burn him down (281).
You'll be taken to release Anna (6). The portal back home will
be open, but you're gonna have to get the treasure chest first.
You know where it is, right? You could go up-left until the edge
then take a risky glide. Or you can take the long way. Anyway,
the chest is north in the level, and it contains a purple (286),
    two reds (288), a green (300), and a gold (300). Yes, you've
totaled the level. Now you can go back to the portal, or use
the Exit Level option on the Start menu, if you're lazy.
Current Totals: 600 gems, 11 fairies

  2. Lava Prairie
    Fairies: 0
Location: West or a little northwest

This level's specialty items are the pink-flowered plants, which
you burn, and the pterodactyls, which you must knock out of the
sky. The way you do this is to find a swelling cactus ball (you
know because it swells [haha]). Then, you blow fire on it to
move it aorund. You must move it to the nearest geyser without
touching the ball or blowing it in the lava. Once it's in the
geyser the ball will spurt out and hit the pterodactyl,
effectively putting it out of commision. Okay, let's go!
First, get the red (1) gem down-left of you, then the green (3)
up-right of you. Go down and blow down the plant, and collect
the two reds (5). Walk up-right and blow down the Rhynoc (6)
then collect the two reds (8) and green (10) by it. Now, go back
past the skeleton rib cage and up-left through the carpet to get
another two reds (12) and another Rhynoc (13). Get the other (14)
then talk to the friendly inhabitant of Lava Prairie. He'll
talk about the pterodactyls. Get the green (16) and red (17) by
him. Going down-left, collect the green (19) and red (20) then
defeat the Rhynoc (21). Get the red below (22). Go right and you
will find a red (23) and green (25) as well as a geyser,
pterodactyl, and a cactus ball above. You know what to do. Go
down-left afterwards for a red (26). Now, release Suzan (1) and
get the two greens (30) left of her as well as the two reds (32).
Go down-left, defeat the Rhynoc (33), and get the red (34). Go
right and burn the plant then go right-up to a green (36) and
another Rhynoc (37). Trog will talk about the job you have,
which is to rid the level of those nasty rock-throwing Rhynocs.
Also get the reds by him (39) and pop the three barrels (42).
Go right to collect the red (43), then hop on the ledge, whack
the Rhynoc (44), then collect the green (46). Get the green above
(48), the purple (53), and the red (54). Hop right onto the ledge
then pop the Rhynoc (55) above and collect the green (57). Jump
up and get the gold (67). Fall right for a red (68) then go down
and quickly defeat the Rhynoc (69). Collect the treasure around
him (77). Fall left to get a red (78). Then burn the plant and
get the green (80). Down-right get the red (81) and push the
cactus down-right, collecting a red (82), green (84), and two
more reds (86) before pushing it up and right to the hole. Now
go get another cactus ball and push near this hole, but down and
left to the other. Get the purple (91) after. Go down, ignoring
the Rhynoc and get the red (92) then left for a green (94) and
another red (95). Get the red above (96) then go left-down and
defeat the Rhynoc (97). Keep going to find two more reds (99).
Then go all the way left for a red (100), a purple (105), and a
Rhynoc (106). Go left again for another red (107) then up-right
and up-left across the bones for a green (109) and a purple
(114). Go down-right to burn the plant then charge the two pots
(116). Go right and up the ledge to defeat the rock-throwing
Rhynoc (117) and get the green (119). Go up-left for a red (120)
and up-right for another two (122). Go down-right for yet
another (123) then jump up and pop the Rhynoc (124) and get the
    green (126). Then go up-left for a purple (131) and up-right for
a gold (141). Left gets a green (143). From that point go right
and down the ledge for a red (144) then go down-left for a
green (146). Fall left and blow open the barrels (148) and get
the red on the left (149). Go back all the way right but instead
of going back right-up, go right-down for a green (151) and red
(152). Right is another red (153). Right again is another (154),
a patch of sheep, and a purple (159). Ignore the cactus ball and
go right for two reds (161) and a plant. Go up for a green (163)
then down-left for another (165) and a red (166). Below it is
another green (168). Now go left to pop the Rhynoc (169) then
charge open the pots (171). Watch out for the Rhynoc (172) as
you hop up two ledges then right for a purple (177). Go up-left
to release Melissa (2) and for a gold (187). From there, glide
up-left and land for a red (188). Go up-right for a plant as
well as two reds (190) and a green (192). Going down-right, you
will find a Rhynoc (193) as well as a burnable plant. There are
also a red (194) and green (196) above and right of it. Go up
for a cactus ball, which you need to move up then up-right to
the hole. Along the way there will be a green (198) and red
    (199) beside as well a red on right (200) and another green
(202). Hurry up and get the green above the hole (204) before
it blows. You'll be taken to an Ice Crystal, so release Ali
(3). From there go down-right past the cactus ball, right at
Trog, and past the cindered plant. From there, burn the barrels
    (207) and get the green (209). Don't forget the one below (211).
    Go down-right for a red (212) and a Rhynoc (213) below. From
here you'll go back all the way up for a red (214) then green
    (216) then right for another (218). Above is a Rhynoc (219). Go
right instead of left for a red (220). Go all the way up for a
red (221) and quickly jump up and defeat the Rhynoc (222). Jump
to the ledge right and get the purple (227). Go up-left for
another (232) and up-right for the treasure chest key. Hurry
to defeat the Rhynoc (233) and collect the gold (243). Then,
free Michelle (4). Go down-left and fall off the ledges for a
red (244) then pop the barrels (246). Go dwon for a red (247)
    then left for another (248) and a green (250). Up-left for a
red (251) then a green (253) is the way to go. Keep going up
and left for a red (254) and a Rhynoc (255). Go up-left again
for another red (256) and a plant. You'll be taken to an Ice
Crystal, so free Cassandra (5). From there climb the ledges
to the right and glide over up-left to land. Go up-right to
Trog then right from there, past the bones up-right, up-right
past the spike in the ground, and up at the two sets of bones.
Climb the ledge and go up for a green (258). Go up and defeat
the Rhynoc (259) then get the other red (260) and drop for a
green (262). Go up the ledge again and up-right for a green
    (264) and red (265). Drop and go up-left for a purple (270).
Quickly run around the Rhynoc [do NOT defeat him] for the
red (271) then down the ledge for a green (273). Go up-left
past the spike for a green (275) then back down-right for a
red (276) and a pot (277). Hop up the ledge and pop the
Rhynoc (278), and you'll get taken to an Ice Crystal, so
release Rhonda (6). Now for the chest. From where you are,
glide all the way up to the ledge. Hop up it, the one right
and so on. Once you've climbed the thing, glide up-left to
a small area with the chest. Before getting there, push A to
hover so you land safely. There is a gold (288), two purples
(298), and two reds (300). Now, exit the level.
Current Totals: 900 gems, 17 fairies

  3. Market Mesa
    Fairies: 12
    Location: North of Lava Prairie

This level is the first level where you can fall down in the
air. The two Rhynoc enemies in this level are... The
ballerina (not kidding!) and the evil-Rhynoc-who-charges-at-
you-with-a-stick. This level is a pretty simple one, so let's
go! First, get the red by you (1) and burn the Rhynoc (2).
Drop right for a green (4) and a red by it (5). Drop down-right.
Hop up for the green (7) and defeat the Rhynoc (8), then get
the red (9). Hop up right for a red (10) and green (12). Go
left for two reds (14) and a green (16). Then, light the
candle. Go left, and Luc will give you a job: to defeat all
the Rhynocs. Get the red nearby (17) then the green (19). Pop
the barrels (22) then go down-right for a red (23). Defeat the
Rhynoc to the right (24) and light the candle. Go right-down to
find a red (25) then immediately defeat the Rhynoc (26). Get
the other one (27) then fall left to light the candle, and go
back up. Hop up to the ledge (28) then get the green (30).
Defeat the Rhynoc to the right (31) and go left and along the
ledge for another two greens (35) and so you can pop the Rhynoc
    (36) then the pot (37). Go back right then fall right to get
    to a red (38) by a Rhynoc (39), three barrels (42), and a green
(44). Go up-right for two reds (46). Light the candle and fall
right for two reds (48). Fall left and talk to Lucky to hear
how a thief stole an "overpriced action figure." Well, well,
you're going to get it. You need to burn the inane laughing
hooded light blue guy who runs away. It's easy, yet requires
a lot of patience and time. You need to master the charge
without bumping into things then poke him so he goes poof. Along
the way in the area you'll find two greens (52), nine reds (61)
and four pots (65). Once you pop him, you'll be taken to
an Ice Crystal with Grayson (1). A gray son? I'm lost. Okay,
now hop back up the ledges then up the one above for a red (66)
then another Rhynoc (67) and a purple (72). Go up and left for
    a red (73), two barrels (75), and another red (76). Down-left
gets you to another (77), a Rhynoc (78), and a green (80). Go
left for two greens (84) and a red (85). If you're low on health
pop some odd rabbits. Go left for another Rhynoc (86) then a red
above (87) and to the left (88). There are another two left of
it (90). Go left for a Rhynoc (91), green (93), and purple (98).
Now you're going to go all the way right until you go to that
ledge with a red on it that you didn't go on. Go on it (99) then
go left to get a Rhynoc (100) and purple (105). Light the candle
then hop left (106) and right (108). Get the Rhynoc (110) then
go up for a green (112) and another Rhynoc (113). Collect the
treasure to the bottom-right that has two reds (115), one purple
    (120) and a green (122). Go left for a charging Rhynoc (123),
a purple (128), and two barrels (130). Go left for a green (132)
and another to the left (134), as well as a gold (144) and a
candle which you should light. Go right back to the ledge with
a red (145) and climb it and the ones to the left for a green
    (147) and purple (152). Go up for a Rhynoc (154) and a green
    (156) to the right. Go left and get the key and the gold (166).
Also go left for a purple (171) and green (173). Now fall down
left two ledges to get to a purple (178), green (180), and
Rhynoc (182). Now go all the way right like you're going to go
to that running Rhynoc, but instead of going down the ledges
go right to pop the Rhynoc (183) then talk to Lyle. She'll give
you instructions on how to ring the bells. It's small, medium,
large, small, medium, large. Do this at the end, alright? Okay,
    now go down-right for a green (185), red (186), Rhynoc (187),
and green (189). Go left and cross the bridge for three reds
(192). Get the green (194), then cross the one above for three
reds (197) and a green (199). Defeat the Rhynoc (201) and get
the red (202). Go left for a green (204) then go up for a red
    (205) then go up-left for a purple (210) and gold (220) and
rescue Liz (2). Ring the bell, then retrace your steps back to
the medium bell and ring it. Now go all the way back to the
beginning of the level, or die if you're too lazy. For an easy
way, just glide down-left. Fall down two ledges to get to the
    chest, which has two reds (222), a green (224), a purple (229),
and a gold (239). Now glide down-right to get to a platform
which has two reds (241) and a purple (246). We're not done yet.
Glide right for a gold (256) and a candle. Now retrace your
steps back to the beginning of the level. Cross the bridge
above you for two reds (258) then the next one for two reds
    (260) and a green (262). The next one has one red (263) and the
next has two greens (267) and a red (268). Go right for a green
    (270) then up-right for another (272). Go down-left and climb
the ledge (284) then defeat the Rhynoc (276). You'll be sent to
a place with Alice (3). Now go all the way back to where you
were... again. Actually it's easy because all you have to do is
fly left. Anyway, get the green to the left (278) and purple
    (283) then release Lauren (4). Go right for a green (285) then
gold (295), and finally the purple (300). Ring the bell, then
light the candle to be taken to Marta (5). Now go all the way
to the small bell, ring it, then the medium, and finally the
big to be taken to Irene (6). There we go, totaled the level.
Current Totals: 1200 gems, 23 fairies

  4. Stone Age Speedway
    Fairies: 14
    Location: Northeast

This is the first of the speedway levels. In these you are
flying in the sky. You can shoot fire to attack. The goal is
to fly through taking the shortest amount of time. There are
two fairies available for each speedway, and one is in each
difficulty, Normal and Hard. You'll need to do both to total
the level. These levels are pretty fast, and you'll need quick
reflexes. Normal, here we go! First, go through the set of
rings. Each one has a purple gem. There are a total of fourteen
rings (70). Next on is the bat area. If you crash into one you
lose one second. Shooting a yellow will get you one extra
second. A blue gets you a gem, so you better get those. A red
does nothing. There are six blue bats here (100). Now there
will be a set of birds. Each gets you a gem, but don't touch
them. Hurry up or else they'll go away. The first wave has
four (120) then the next has another set (140) and another (160)
and another (180) and another (200) and another (220) and
another (240) and another (260). The next area has rocks. Hit
the cracked ones for extra time, and get the gems. Touching a
rock takes away a second. Get all the gems (290) and you'll be
at the dragon. Dodge when he charges , then when you turns to
face away hit him with as many fireballs as your finger can
push the button. Once you're done, he'll let out a gem (300)
and you'll have saved Sam (1). Feeling tough? It's time for
Hard. Basically, Hard is just the same level except you start
out with less time and the obstacles are harder, etc. After
you're done, you'll rescue PEASEBLOSSOM (2). Is it me, or are
    they running out of names?
Current Totals: 1500 gems, 25 fairies

  5. Ant Farm
    Gems: 400
    Location: North, a little east

This is the first of a series of Sparx levels. You play Sparx
and have to fly around collecting gems, keys, and powerups. At
the end you face a boss. You'll need to pay Moneybags to enter
these levels. It's 400 gems for this one, so let's go...
You'll notice first a health bar at the bottom right. Once it's
down to nothing... poof! Sparx is out of commission. B fires
your weapon, and A charges. So go right for a red (1) and a key
which you use to open doors. Get the purple (6) and the blue
butterfly. These heal you. Get the gold (16) and the green to
the left (18) then go through the door. Start firing as you'll
come across two pink ants and a brown one. Defeat them and get
the gold (28) and butterfly. Down gets another (38) then defeat
the ant. You'll come across a red (39) and an ant nest. Fire
repeatedly into it to destroy it and get the green (41). Go
left for a purple (46) and three fireflies. Defeat them; they
are really annoying. Then get the two reds (48). Go down-right
for another green (50) and another anthill and finally a purple
(55). Go up then right and destroy the anthill. Keep going right
to another anthill. Go down for a gold (65) and another anthill.
Left gets you... another anthill! Okay, now get the two reds
above you (67) and the one all the way above (68). Go right for
a purple (73) and down for a green (75). Go right for another
    (77) and all the way right for... another anthill! Get the blue
butterfly then destroy the anthill below. Get the purple up-left
    (82) and the purple (87) and red (88) above. Charge down
through the blue gate then destroy the anthill down-left. Now
destroy the firefly-hill below and go right for a blue butterfly
as well as two golds (108) and a red key. Come back up through
the gate then charge left and left and through the opening to
the left, then through the red gate below. Inside there are good
things waiting: two reds (110), two purples (120), and a blue
and gold butterfly. See the shield thingy floating above on the
screen? That means if you press L (that's the powerup activate
button) you'll get nine seconds of shielding. You'll want to
save this for the boss. Now go up-right into the large room and
enter the gate in the south-western part of the room. Defeat
the firefly, then go right for two firefly-hills. Destroy them,
and don't use that shield. Above them are two golds (140) and
a green key. Go back up through the gate then all the way up
through the green one. There will be a gold to the left (150)
and two firefly-hills above. Destroy them and get the purple
above-left (155), the purple key, the gold (165), the blue
butterfly, and finally the purple bottom-right (170). Get out
of the green room, then down-right and down-up to the purple
gate. Above you will find the grasshopper boss. Start firing
immediately. When he comes to leap, you should charge to the
right or left then turn around and keep firing. Soon he'll be
spitting out mini-grasshoppers. Destroy them and focus on the
real problem. Finally you'll defeat him, and rescue Angela (1).
Now you can get the five greens (180) and two golds (200) in
the room. Good job! Teleport out, 'cause you're done over here.
Current Totals: 1300 (1700 total) gems, 26 fairies

   Fairies:
    #1 - Defeat all Rhynocs.
#2 - Melt all honeycomb plants.
#3 - Upper right corner of level.
#4 - Turn off all the beehives so they don't make honey. This is
rather difficult. I didn't realize this until by accident.
You must breath fire on the hive, then charge to the nearest
giant flower and it will land there. Do this for each.
(I discovered this one day when I was trying to tease the
         bees... heehee)
#5 - Bottom right corner of level.
#6 - Around center of level, on top of a high place.
Current Totals: 2600 (3000 total) gems, 49 fairies

  4. Ice Age Speedway
    Fairies: 35
Location: Bottom of the level, around the center a little right

First fairy is in Normal. I'll give you some general help on the
phases of the level, but nothing about gems. Okay, here we go.
First off is the bats. You know the way, yellow is +1, red is
-1, and blue is a gem. Next is flying polar bears. Blue ones do
nothing, and purple ones give you a gem. And don't touch them.
Next are rings that are +1 second with a gem inside. Next up is
the crazed jellyfish-type things that fly around. Only the
purple ones are important. And finally the boss is two ice
dragons. Each is like the Stone Age Speedway dragon. Just shoot
them when they're facing behind. Then, you'll rescue Liora. Now
just do Hard mode For Naomi and you're done.
Current Totals: 2900 (3300 total) gems, 51 fairies

  5. Wasp City
    Gems: 600
Location: All the way left and south

There's nothing much to say except to keep your guard up and to
seek out every item. There are three new powerups in this level:
the automatic spread fire (green butterfly), the homing plasma
(red butterfly), and the instant screen explosion (purple
butterfly). You can only use one at a time, so plan carefully.
My tip is to save the purple butterfly for the boss so you can
BOOM! him. Also in this level are force fields. You can't touch
them, else you get hurt. The insta-kill powerup doesn't work
either. You must find the generator and blow it up. Now time for
the boss. He's a fat wasp, and a tough one too. He'll hop left
and right and when you shoot him enough he'll spit out five of
his little minions to get you. With the automatic spreadfire
powerup in the upper-right as well as the insta-kill bomb, you
should have little problem. Just watch out when he hops. When
    done, you'll rescue Jody.
Current Totals: 2500 (3500 total) gems, 52 fairies

  6. Boss battle: GRENDOR
Enter the Spring Fairy Home portal, and you'll be taken to some
odd place in shambles. Follow the paths and around the center of
the level is Grendor! He'll shoot fireballs at you, so be careful
and dodge them or jump them. After you do, ram Grendor in an
open spot. He'll shake, then jump up to try to land on you. Repeat
this process until he blows up. Once done, he'll leave an Ice
Crystal with Lisa inside. Afterwards, go left to find the real
Spring Fairy Home portal, and enter.
Current Totals: 2500 (3500 total) gems, 53 fairies

C. Spring Fairy Home

It's the third fairy world level!
  Fairies:
#1 - Burn each pink flower.
#2 - All the way right, above the center line a little bit
#3 - Southwest of Time Machine Lab
#4 - Right above the entrance to Twilight Bulb Factory.
#5 - All the way southeast in level.
Current Totals: 2800 (3800 total) gems, 58 fairies

  1. Time Machine Lab
    Fairies: 58
Location: Left of Twilight Bulb Factory for a little while

  Fairies:
    #1 - Defeat each Rhynoc.
    #2 - Burn every pencil.
#3 - Get every Titanium Spork. (Spinny light thingys)
#4 - On top of building all the way left, around the top.
#5 - All the way at the top, around the center.
#6 - Around the bottom center of the level.
Current Totals: 3200 (4200 total) gems, 64 fairies

  2. Roman City
    Fairies: Initially available
Location: Just a little southwest from Aqua Age Speedway

  Fairies:
    #1 - Defeat each Rhynoc.
#2 - Light each watery bowl.
#3 - Save Citizen Paddy from the mystical ? jar.
#4 - Pop the maniacally laughing hooded thief.
#5 - Upper left corner of level.
#6 - On top of the building all the way to the right, below
the centerline. You need to make a difficult northeast
glide from the building to the left to get here.
Current Totals: 3500 (4500 total) gems, 70 fairies

  3. Twilight Bulb Factory
    Fairies: Initially available
Location: Around center, but a little above and on a ledge

  Fairies:
#1 - Bottom of level, around center.
#2 - Turn on each spinning generator.
#3 - Push the switch to each large Twilight Bulb.
#4 - Top right corner of level.
#5 - Top of level, around center on top of wooden crates.
#6 - Around center of level, you need to glide here.
Current Totals: 3900 (4900 total) gems, 76 fairies

  4. Aqua Age Speedway
    Fairies: 64
    Location: Around center of level

You'll start off with rings with gems inside. Simple. Next
will be floating bubbles. You know the routine: blue = gem,
red = nothing, and yellow = +1 seconds. Next are jellyfish.
You cannot shoot the one in the middle until you eliminate
the others. Watch out for they'll rotate and hit you. In
the end the middle will have a gold gem. Next are crabs.
Blues are for gems, and reds do nothing. Next will be
another set of jellyfish, then the water dragon. Defeat it
the same way as the other dragons, and you'll get a gold
gem and your fairy. Then do it on Hard.
Current Totals: 4200 (5200 total) gems, 78 fairies

  5. Caterpiller Gardens
    Gems: 800
Location: Right of Roman City, southeast of Aqua Age

This level is pretty self explanatory. Just follow the easy
paths, but watch out for the two new things: caterpillers,
and big bugs. They both have nests, too. Caterpillers can
split apart and be little baddies, so make sure you use
your automatic spreadfire well. The boss is pretty tough.
You've got to keep hitting him. Blow off his head fast!
Once you run out of automatic spreadfire (I hope you've been
using ONLY this) get the red butterfly and fire crazily.
Soon, you should beat him and save Roxie.
Current Totals: 3600 (5400 total) gems, 79 fairies

D. Summer Fairy Home

  3. Space Age Speedway
    Fairies: Initially available
Location: All the way above, and a little right.

This is the last speedway type level. Let's go! The first phase
is flying mushrooms. Blue gives a gem, yellow is +1 seconds,
and turqoise is nothing. Next is funny flying men. You know
the jellyfish from Aqua Age Speedway? They're just like them.
Next are flying weasels. Next are rings with gems inside. Next
are biplanes. You know the color codes. Finally is the boss. It
is just a more powerful dragon. Beat him for a gold gem and a
fairy, Mustardseed (Now I really think they need more ideas.).
Anyway, get the other fairy on Hard now.
Current Totals: 5000 (6800 total) gems, 98 fairies

  4. Beetle Burrows
    Gems: 1000

  5. Grendor's Lair

Grendor will be pretty tough here, but just dodge his attacks
and then ram him and you'll be fine. He'll take a couple of hits
but in the end, I know you'll win. Good luck!
*Note: There is a bug in going to Grendor's Lair. After you
beat him and try to enter again you'll be taken to the
end game sequence and gain another fairy.
Current Totals: 5200 (7000 total!) gems, 100 fairies!

  6. Dragonfly X
    Fairies: 100

  Particle effects
Thanks to Krokus from the message boards, who works at Digital
Eclipse, which is the company that developed this game, I have
some nifty things you can do with the particles in the credits
and the initial menu screen (the one after "Press Start").

Here it is, word for word exactly on the message boards:

    In the menus:

    L + Left/Right.....Rotate direction of particles
    L + Up/Down........Increase/Decrease particle directionality
    L + A/B............Increase/Decrease number of particles
    R + Left/Right.....Increase/Decrease particle velocity
    R + Up/Down........Increase/Decrease gravity
    R + A/B............Increase/Decrease particle lifespan
L + SELECT.........Set all particle parameters to random values
L + R..............Reset all particle parameters to default values

    During the credits sequence:

START................Pause/Unpause the scrolling of the credits
    Up/Down..............Increase/Decrease vertical range of particles
    Left/Right...........Increase/Decrease horizontal range of particles
    L + R + Up/Down......Increase/Decrease vertical speed of particles
    L + R + Left/Right...Increase/Decrease horizontal speed of particles
    L + Left/Right.......Rotate direction of particles
    L + Up/Down..........Increase/Decrease particle directionality
    L + A/B..............Increase/Decrease number of particles
    R + Left/Right.......Increase/Decrease particle velocity
    R + Up/Down..........Increase/Decrease gravity
    R + A/B..............Increase/Decrease particle lifespan
L + SELECT...........Set all particle parameters to random values
    B....................Return to main menu

Also, L + R + START is a nice time saver after you turn on the game.

    Enjoy!
