1: Introduction
I've been a fan of many Sonic games, but Shadow the Hedgehog seems to
be an interesting game.
In this FAQ, I'll be explaining about this game and how to complete it.
I'll be giving you a walkthrough for each of the missions you'll play
and how to complete it. I'll even give A-rank strategies for each of
them. If you have problems with this walkthrough, don't come crying to
me. Read the 'E-Mail Policy' topic to find out more. Let's get
started now.
========================================================================
2: E-Mail Policy
If you're going to e-mail me, you must follow these guidelines.
1. I won't accept information that I already have on this FAQ.
If you're going to waste my time and e-mail me, it must not be in this
FAQ. I HATE answering questions I've already answered. Before
e-mailing me, read the whole FAQ. If you don't see what you want, then
e-mail me. Be careful though, because sometimes, I'll update this FAQ
and the e-mails you send me might be useless to me by then.
2. Subject
The e-mails you send me MUST be on this game. If your e-mail doesn't
do anything with this game, then I'll just get rid of it. If I
receive an e-mail from you, I'll write you back. If I don't receive
your e-mail, then I won't write back. It's as simple as that.
3. Credit
If you find anything that I never found, please e-mail me. I'll add it
to my FAQ. However, don't write anything that I find first, I'll just
remove it. If you do find anything (tips, tricks, etc.), please
e-mail me.
Follow these guidelines and everything will be okay. Thanks for your
cooperation.
E-Mail me at
[email protected].

unlimited ammo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.3: Items
Next up are items. You'll need to know a lot about them before you
start to play.

Rings
This item is important. To avoid losing a life, you must have at least

crates can be rings, guns, or other things.
************************************************************************

These crates contain special weapons that you can use after you've

door. They're well hidden however.
Note: This FAQ doesn't tell you where the keys are hidden. You must
look for another FAQ in order to find their locations.
************************************************************************
Bombs
These objects will explode if attacked. The explosion from the bomb
can cause damage to anything it hits.

This item creates a shield that'll protect you from one enemy attack.
************************************************************************
Magnet Barrier
This barrier attracts rings. Also disappears when attacked.
************************************************************************

attacked.
************************************************************************
Balloon
This item can contain various items. Touch it to release what's
inside.

a life. You can also use it to teleport to another save point you've
activated just by pressing the X Button.
************************************************************************
1-up
The image of Shadow gives you an extra life.
************************************************************************
Heal Unit
This item restores the energy for the vehicle you're riding. Some can

Normal Mission
Next Stage: Glyphic Canyon
Helper: None
Level: Easy
You'll begin this stage by falling past a group of skyscrapers. Once
you land, go on some dash panels and you'll land on the first save
point. Keep going forward while trying to avoid the enemies. When you
get to a red case, defeat the Black Arms soldier to open it. The green
Chaos Emerald is in that case. Get it and a case holding a spring will
open.
Now, continue forward while dodging the lasers from above. Some lasers
will destroy walls in your path. After passing the second destroyed
wall, continue forward and take care of any enemies in your way. After
dodging some more lasers, you should be careful not to hit the red
fruits (they can damage you). Now, continue to the next set of dash
panels and you'll land on the second save point.
Now, ahead are some GUN soldiers and some long platforms that'll
collapse from a laser impact. Go on the first platform and then use a
homing attack on the Beetles ahead. You'll then see 2 GUN soldiers
and a moving platform. Use that platform to get to the other side.
On the other side, there are some more Black Arms soldiers to get past.
After that, use the dash panels ahead and continue towards the third
save point.
Past the third save point are some Beetles, some Black Arms soldiers,
and some buses that can be lifted up. Keep moving forward as you avoid
enemies and you'll eventually reach a road that makes a loop. Go past
that loop and reach the fourth save point. Ahead is a GUN vehicle.
You can use it to go forward. Now, keep going forward as you avoid
lasers and enemies and you'll then reach a tunnel. Enter that tunnel
and get past some more enemies. Finally, keep going forward until you
reach the fifth save point. The goal ring is past the fifth save
point. Touch it to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Just keep moving. Don't waste too much time taking out
enemies.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Lethal Highway
Helper: Sonic
Level: Easy
After landing on the first save point, there's a Black Bird that you
must attack. After you run into Sonic, keep moving forward until you
see 3 Black Arms soldiers. Defeat them and continue. One more Black
Bird will be in your path and then one Black Arms soldier. Get the
Chaos Emerald and then use the spring to advance. At this point, you
should've defeated 6/45 Black Arms soldiers.
After passing the first destroyed wall, there are 2 Black Birds to
attack. Defeat them and continue towards the second wall. There are
2 more Black Birds that are to the right of that wall. Defeat them
and move on (10/45 defeated). Past the second wall are some more
Black Arms soldiers. Take them out as you advance. You should've
defeated 18/45 by the time you've reached some red fruits. A couple
more Black Arms soldiers are around past them. Take them out and then
advance to the second save point. You should've defeated 23/45 Black
Arms soldiers at this point.
Take the spring up and take out a lone Black Arms soldier. After that,
wait for some lasers to collapse a long platform. Now, instead of
using the Beetles to advance, go down and take out 2 more Black Arms
soldiers. A cage with a spring should open after you take them out.
Next, use the platform to reach an area where 3 more Black Arms
soldiers lurk. Finally, advance to the third save point. You
should've defeated 29/45 Black Arms soldiers at this point.
Keep on advancing and you'll eventually see 2 Beetles (ignore them).
Pass them and then you'll see a bus and some Black Arms soldiers. Take
them out and continue. Now, as you progress, a laser will strike a
building and then you'll see some flames appear. Your hero gauge will
rise if you put the fire out. Anyway, keep moving and then you'll see
another bus and 2 Black Birds. Take them out and proceed towards the
road that makes a loop. You should've defeated 33/45 Black Arms
soldiers after touching the fourth save point.
Don't bother with the GUN vehicle ahead. Just keep moving and you'll
eventually see 2 Black Arms soldiers. Take them out and head to the
tunnel. Outside the tunnel is another Black Arms soldier to eliminate.
Now, keep moving forward and take out each of the Black Arms soldiers
in your path. Once you reach the fifth save point, you should've taken
out 42/45 Black Arms soldiers.
Ignore the goal ring ahead and just run forward to a dash panel.
You'll then fall between another set of skyscrapers. Avoid the
helicopters as you reach the ground. Once you reach the ground, go on
some dash panels and you'll land on a destroyed highway path. There
are 3 more Black Arms soldiers ahead. Take them out and you've
defeated all 45 Black Arms soldiers. However, if for some reason
you've missed a Black Arms soldier, use the last save point ahead to
teleport back.
A-rank tips: Take out the Black Arms soldiers as quickly as possible.
Also, avoid taking out any GUN soldiers during the process.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Digital Circuit
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Easy
After landing on the first save point, the first GUN soldier you'll see
will get crushed by the lasers. Continue forward and you'll find
another GUN soldier to take out. Now, continue moving until you reach
the cage with the Chaos Emerald. Take out all the GUN soldiers and
then the Black Arms soldier to open up the cage. Get the Chaos Emerald
and then use the spring to advance. You should've taken out 5/35 GUN
soldiers at this point. After passing the first destroyed wall, Doom's
Eye will appear to assist you.
Now, advance to the second wall while taking out the GUN soldiers.
After passing the second wall, ignore the Black Arms soldiers in your
path. There's 2 more GUN soldiers to take out before reaching the
second save point. You should've taken out 10/35 GUN soldiers at this
point.
Past the second save point, there's a GUN soldier and 2 Beetles
ahead. The lasers will take out all 3 of them for you and drop the
long platform. Next, perform your homing attack to take out the 3
Beetles and 2 GUN soldiers ahead. Now, use the platform to proceed.
Near the third save point are 2 Beetles. Take them out and you
should've defeated 20/35 GUN soldiers.
Past the third save point are 2 more Beetles. Destroy them and then
continue moving. There are 4 more GUN soldiers in this area. Defeat
them and then advance to the fourth save point. You should've taken
out 26/35 GUN soldiers at this point.
Ignore the GUN vehicle ahead and continue moving. There are 2 GUN
soldiers to the left of the GUN vehicle. Eliminate them and advance
to the tunnel. There's another GUN soldier that's inside the tunnel.
Be sure he's done in too. Now, keep moving as you take out the GUN
soldiers. When you reach the fifth save point, you should've taken out
33/35 GUN soldiers.
Ignore the goal ring ahead and just run forward to a dash panel.
You'll then fall between another set of skyscrapers. Avoid the
helicopters as you reach the ground. Also, there's a Gold Beetle
that'll fly past you while you're falling. You'll earn 1000 dark
points for destroying it. Plus, it counts as one of the number of GUN
soldiers destroyed (34/35 if 33 were defeated). You don't have to
destroy it though if you don't want to. Once you reach the ground, go
on some dash panels and you'll land on a destroyed highway path. There
are 2 more GUN soldiers ahead. If you missed the Gold Beetle, destroy
them both and the mission is complete. However, if for some reason
you've missed a GUN soldier, use the last save point ahead to teleport
back.
A-rank tips: Take out the GUN soldiers as quickly as possible. Also,
avoid taking out any Black Arms soldiers during the process.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
Inside the door to the right of the fourth save point is a gun and an
armored GUN vehicle.

Hero Mission
Next Stage: Prison Island
Helper: Rouge
Level: Easy
You'll begin this stage by following some circuit routes. You can move
the Control Stick left or right to change the path to take. Once you
get out of the circuit, you'll land on a rectangular platform. Ignore
the 2 Beetles and just jump from one platform to another. At the end
of the last platform, you'll see some green pads that'll appear. Use
them to continue on ahead. Continue forward as you avoid enemies.
When you reach the first save point, head to the red pad. It acts as a
spring.
There is a red laser behind a Beetle. It can hurt you, so don't touch
it. Continue forward until you stop at a spot where you'll see 4 cubes
moving around. Use them to get up to an area where 2 Black Arms
soldiers are roaming around. Continue forth and you'll see 3 yellow
Virtual Cells. They'll split into 2 green Virtual Cells when damaged.
Once you avoid 2 more red lasers, you'll run into Rouge. Continue
forward and you'll eventually run into a Black Arms Worm. Attack it
from the head to defeat it. After that enemy is a red searchlight.
If you touch it, it'll take you to another area. Now, touch the
second save point and keep going.
Ahead are some light bars. You can grab onto them to go down. Keep
going down the bar until you reach a circuit panel. Step on it and
you'll be riding on another circuit path. While on the circuit path,
avoid the firewalls in your path (the firewalls can hurt you). At the
end of the circuit path are some red pads. Use them to gain height.
Ignore the Beetles and just head to the next circuit panel. The next
circuit panel takes you into a circuit tunnel.
At the end of the tunnel are some Beetles. Don't use your homing
attack on them. Instead, drop down to an area with a red cage. Take
out the Black Arms soldiers guarding it and move on. At the top is
another Black Arms Worm. Take it out the same way as the last one.
Now, touch the third save point and keep moving.
Past the third save point are those green pads you've saw earlier. Use
them like you did earlier. At the other side is another Black Arms
Worm. Past that enemy is another path. However, a new twist is added.
The green pads have made a barrier and you must destroy them to
advance. After taking out the barrier, keep moving as you dodge
enemies. Ahead are some cubes and some light bars. Use the bars to go
down. A Black Arms Worm lurks below, so be careful.
After taking out that enemy, go forward while avoiding red lasers and
Beetles. Also, some greed pads will make more barriers to slow you
down. At the tunnel's end is an orange Virtual Cell, 2 red lasers, and
some light poles. Use the light poles to ascend to the 3 cubes above.
Next, you must wait for the fourth cube to descend so that you can jump
on it. Pass that cube and continue on. Keep an eye out for green pads
as you move forward. Some green pads will create a bridge leading to
the fourth save point.
Past the fourth save point are some more light poles and a Black Arms
Worm. You might want to take the enemy out, because the tracking worms
it fires can be annoying to you. At the top is a path leading to
another searchlight. This time, the searchlight isn't pointing at you,
so you're going to have to destroy the Beetle ahead to make the
searchlight hit you. At the end is a platform, and a Gold Beetle.
Ignore the Gold Beetle for this mission. Anyway, proceed towards the
circuit panel. Again, avoid the firewalls as you ride the circuit
path. At the end of the circuit path are some red pads. Do a homing
attack on them to continue. You'll land on the fifth save point.
Continue on as you destroy barriers and avoid lasers, Beetles, and
Virtual Cells. You'll eventually reach an area with some Black Arms
soldiers and a red cage. Defeat them all to open a cage with a 1-up.
Up ahead are more searchlights and Beetles. Destroy all the Beetles in
each area so that the searchlight can send you to another area. Once
you've attracted the last searchlight, move forward to the next circuit
panel. After passing through a circuit tunnel, you'll land on the
sixth save point. Past the save point are 4 cubes, some searchlights,
and the goal ring. Touch the goal ring to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Avoid taking out too many GUN soldiers. Also, eliminate
as many Black Arms soldiers as possible.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: Cryptic Castle
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
You'll take the same path as the hero mission one, so I'll start the
dark mission walkthrough at where the hero mission ends.
After touching the sixth save point, ignore the goal ring ahead and go
search for a searchlight. If you find one, use it to ascend to a cube
above. Next, use the moving cubes ahead to reach some red pads that'll
take you to a warp hole. Touch the warp hole to warp to another area.
You'll then land on the last save point for this stage.
Destroy the Beetle to move the cubes in your way. Ahead are some red
lasers and 2 Beetles equipped with electric barriers. Attack them once
the barrier is disabled. Once both are gone, another set of cubes will
move out of your way. Deal with the orange Virtual Cell ahead and then
use the cube to reach the red searchlight ahead. You'll ascend and
then land on some green pads. Use the cube behind the green pad to
reach a path guarded by 2 Beetles.
Continue forward and you'll run into 3 orange Virtual Cells and a
Beetle with an electric barrier. Destroy the Beetle to move the cubes.
Watch out for the Beetles that'll appear behind them. Now, you must
jump onto a cube and get onto the giant platform where the core program
is. Now, you must use spin dash to reach the red pad above. The pad
will take you to a cube. Next, you must use a moving cube to find a
light pole. Use the pole to ascend to another set of moving cubes.
Next, find a light bar to go up with. Take out the Beetles above while
going up. At the top is the core program. Destroy it to clear the
mission.
A-rank tips: Destroy as many Beetles and Virtual Cells as possible.
Avoid taking out any Black Arms soldiers while doing so though.

Secret Door
To the left of the fourth save point is a door with a warp hole. Use
the warp hole to head to an area that has 2 circuit panels. These
circuits still lead to the fifth save point.

Next Stage: Prison Island
Helper: None
Level: Easy
You'll begin this stage by following a loop path. At the end of it are
some dash panels leading to the first save point. Past the save point
are some GUN soldiers and Black Arms soldiers. Ignore them and just
head to a small tunnel with some stairs. The tunnel leads to some more
dash panels. After the 2 Black Arms soldiers are 2 paths. The left
one is a loop path. The right one leads to some enemies. Both lead
to the same area though. Past those paths are some more Black Arms
soldiers. Also, you'll encounter the Black Arms Larvae in the next
tunnel you'll enter. They're small, but annoying. Next, use the
spring that leads to a path leading towards a tornado. Enter the
tornado to continue.
The tornado takes you to the second save point. After the save point,
move forward and be ready to get past some loop paths. At the end is a
dash panel leading to a temple and the third save point. Inside the
temple are some Black Arms soldiers and a temple jewel. Touching the
jewel will activate it. You'll find out more about them on the dark
mission walkthrough. Continue through the temple and you'll encounter
a Black Arms soldier. Take it out and move on. There's a ring pole
ahead. Grabbing it will ascend you to the temple exit. Ahead, you'll
see the Black Arms Larvae and Knuckles taking them out. Anyway, use
the spring ahead to reach the fourth save point.
Past the fourth save point are some enemies and a tornado that's
blowing debris. The debris can hurt you. Anyway, after avoiding the
debris, there are some platforms leading to another path to take. The
path ahead leads to another tornado, but you have to get past some
ruins that are coming your way. Get past the ruins and go in the
tornado. You'll land on the fifth save point after exiting the
tornado.
Continue forward until you see a path of rings. Use the light dash to
follow the path. You'll then run into some springs leading you to
another path to take. Continue forward and you'll eventually run into
a Black Arms Worm. Pass that enemy and you'll see some platforms and
some air vents. When you reach the other side, you'll run into a
Black Arms Worm and some Black Arms Larvae. Also, there's a temple
jewel above those enemies (more detail on the dark mission
walkthrough). Avoid them as you head towards the dash panels. You'll
then encounter more Black Arms soldiers. Deal with them as you head
to another set of springs. The springs lead to more dash panels
that'll take you to the sixth save point.
Past the save point are some GUN soldiers. Avoid them and take a
spring leading to another temple. The temple holds more Black Arms
soldiers and another temple jewel (again, explained more on the dark
mission walkthrough). Continue on and you'll see a cage guarded by a
Black Arms soldier. Take it out to open it. At the end of the temple
is the seventh save point. Ahead are some platforms, some Black Birds,
and another temple jewel. Past the jewel is another Black Arms Worm.
Continue forward as you watch for Black Arms soldiers. Ahead is
another tornado. The tornado ahead has more debris, so be careful as
you get to it. When you enter into the tornado, you'll head to an
area infested with Black Arms soldiers. Avoid them and move forward.
Past the Black Arms soldiers is the last save point and the goal ring.
Touch the goal ring to complete the mission.
A-rank tips: Complete the stage as quickly as possible. You can use
Chaos Control to make things easier.

Hero Mission
Next Stage: Circus Park
Helper: Knuckles
Level: Easy
Touch the first save point and move on. You'll run into Knuckles the
instant you pass the save point. Ahead are 3 Black Arms soldiers that
need pummeling. Another one will appear when you take the stairs
leading to the dash panels. Ahead are 2 more Black Arms soldiers.
Take the right route next. Avoid the GUN soldiers, but keep your eyes
out for the Black Arms soldiers. When you head to another tunnel, take
out each of the Black Arms soldiers in your way. Near some springs are
some Black Arms Larvae. They too count for the number of Black Arms
soldiers defeated. Past the springs are some Black Birds and a
tornado. Make sure you've defeated 15/60 Black Arms soldiers before
entering the tornado. The tornado leads to the second save point.
After touching the second save point, continue to the third save point.
The temple ahead holds some Black Arms soldiers. Make sure to take them
out as you go. At the ring pole are some Black Arms Larvae that are
stuck on walls. Take them out before ascending. Finally, take out
another batch of Black Arms Larvae before heading towards the fourth
save point. You should've defeated 25/60 Black Arms soldiers at this
point.
Ahead is a GUN soldier and some Black Arms soldiers. Take the Black
Arms soldiers out before heading towards the tornado that's blowing
debris. Continue heading towards the fifth save point. Keep moving
ahead until you head towards a Black Arms Worm. Take it out and then
head to the platforms and air vents. Use them to reach another Black
Arms Worm and some Black Arms Larvae. Now, continue towards the dash
panel and take out the 2 Black Arms soldiers ahead. Once you reach the
sixth save point, make sure you've defeated 34/60 Black Arms soldiers.
Ignore the GUN soldiers ahead and just head to the spring. A Black
Arms soldier is guarding another temple. Take it out and enter.
While inside the temple, make sure that all the Black Arms soldiers
inside are taken out. When you reach the seventh save point, make sure
that 44/60 Black Arms soldiers are defeated.
Next up are 2 Black Birds, a Black Arms Worm, and 2 Black Arms
soldiers. Take them all out and then head to the tornado. You
should've taken out 49/60 Black Arms soldiers at this point. There are
a couple more Black Arms soldiers to take out. There should be more
than enough to beat to reach 60, but if you're missing one, use the
last save point to go back.
A-rank tips: Take out the Black Arms soldiers as quickly as possible.
Also, avoid taking out any GUN soldiers during the process.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Cryptic Castle
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Easy
You'll play the stage like normal until you've reached the third save
point. Enter the temple and you should see the first temple jewel.
Touch it to activate it. Now, continue following the same path until
you've reached the fifth save point.
Past the fifth save point and a Black Arms Worm is a temple jewel on a
platform. Again, touch it to activate it. Continue on to the sixth
save point and head to the next temple. The third temple jewel is
there. The fourth temple jewel is past the seventh save point. And
finally, the fifth temple jewel is on a platform above a swarm of Black
Arms soldiers. To get there, open up the cage guarded by the 2 Black
Arms Worms. If you've activated all 5 jewels, you've finished the
mission.
A-rank tips: Try to take out as many GUN soldiers as you can. Also,
avoid damaging too many Black Arms soldiers.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is between the fifth save point and a Black Arms Worm.
Inside are 2 Black Birds and a Black Volt. Take out the Black Volt to
ride on it. When you get on, you can take a secret path where you can

completing the hero mission. It also holds rings, 1-ups, and a flame
barrier. You'll automatically get off the Black Volt at the sixth save
point.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: Black Bull (boss) -> Prison Island
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Easy
You'll start the stage by passing some dash panels. Next, follow the
Black Arms Tank that appears. It'll be helpful to finding your way out
of the city. Follow it while trying to avoid enemies. After passing
the first save point, you'll need to dodge the Black Arms Larvae on the
road. After avoiding the Black Arms Larvae, continue to follow the
Black Arms Tank until you reach a path that'll explode from a bomb.
Drop down to the road below the destroyed road.
There are 2 GUN soldiers ahead. Take them out as you proceed.
Next, head to the dash panel near some road that's liftable. Continue
moving until you see more GUN soldiers. Past them is a ledge you can
grab hold of. Ignore the Black Arms soldier, but take out the Beetle.
Some springs are hidden by some debris. Destroy the debris then use
it. Ahead are some GUN soldiers and a swarm of Black Arms Larvae.
There's a heal unit to the right that can be used to heal any GUN
soldiers around the area, but healing the GUN soldiers will raise your
hero gauge. Past the Black Arms Larvae is some slime. Press the
X Button while near some to follow a slime path. At the end of the
path, go forward and head towards the second save point.
Past the save point is a tunnel filled with GUN soldiers and Black Arms
Larvae. Take out the GUN soldiers and continue. When you leave the
tunnel, continue to move forward to the second tunnel. The tunnel
ahead is filled with Black Arms soldiers. Get out of the tunnel and
get a hold of a rocket. Then, after releasing the rocket, you'll hold
onto a parachute. Keep hold of the parachute until you've gotten near
the top platform with a dash panel. If you don't make it, then use the
spring to reach the poles you need to use to get up there. Passing
through the dash panel will take you to the third save point.
Past the save point are some vehicles. You can choose either the car,
the GUN motorcycle, or you can go without a vehicle. Anyway, as you go
forward, you'll meet the Black Arms Tank again. Follow it as you
advance through the highway passage. Make sure to avoid any enemies in
your path. Keep moving until you run into a path that'll explode from
a bomb. Go down and you'll see a red light. Touch it to fill your
dark gauge. The cage ahead is protected by Black Arms soldiers.
Eliminate them (despite the fact that Black Doom will get mad) and use
the spring inside the cage to advance. There are 2 GUN soldiers hiding
behind some fences. Take care of them and then use the dash panel to
advance. Another path will blow up from a bomb, so use the Beetles and
the Black Hawk to get by. If you fall, use a slime path to the left to
continue. There are some Black Arms soldiers near the slime though.
Past the slime is another Black Arms soldier, and a path leading to the
fourth save point.
You'll once again follow the Black Arms Tank past the fourth save
point. Remember to avoid any enemies in your way. Once you've reached
some collapsed road, get up there and move on. Of course, if you wait
for a moment before continuing, you'll encounter a Gold Beetle.
Anyway, the last save point is past the area the Gold Beetle flew by.
Past the last save point is another bomb and another tunnel. Go in the
tunnel and keep moving. There are some GUN soldiers inside the tunnel.
Outside the tunnel is another rocket. Use it to ascend. And again,
try to use the parachute to reach the top platform. If you don't make
it, find a switch to open up a cage that's holding a spring and then
use it to grab the poles. Just watch out for the Beetles. At the top
of the platform is some grindable slime. Use it to catch up with the
Black Arms Tank.
Finally, keep following the Black Arms Tank until you run into another
bomb. If you move fast enough, you might make it to the other side
before the bomb explodes. If you don't make it, then you'll have to
take out some GUN soldiers and open a cage with a spring inside (which
is also the cage that a lone Black Hawk was caught in). Use the spring
to continue. Some more road will collapse past that area. Use the
dash circle at the right of the road to advance. Past it are some GUN
soldiers and a path leading to a series of loops and a dash panel at
the end. Passing through all of this will take you to the goal ring.
Touch it to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Eliminate as many GUN soldiers as possible. Also, avoid
taking out too many Black Arms soldiers.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Black Bull (boss) -> Circus Park
Helper: Sonic
Level: Normal
This mission can be annoying. You must pursue the Black Arms Tank and
destroy it. As you progress through the stage, you'll have to use
rapid-firing guns on the Black Arms Tank. The shield it's equipped
with is tough, but if you can damage it enough, you'll be able to
damage the machine itself. The mission is complete when the Black Arms
Tank is destroyed. However, if the Black Arms Tank manages to escape
from the city, you'll automatically fail the hero mission.
A-rank tips: Try to take out the Black Arms Tank as quickly as
possible. Take out the Black Arms soldiers during the process as well.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
There's a secret door inside the tunnel near the third save point.
Inside the door are some rapid-firing guns that you'll encounter later
in the game. They can be useful for attacking the Black Arms Tank.
************************************************************************
Boss Battle
Boss: Black Bull
Side: Dark
Helper: Sonic
Level: Easy
You're up against a giant Black Arms creature with wings. You must
attack the face to defeat it. To get to the face, perform some homing
attacks on the Black Birds that appear. That'll give you enough height
to do a homing attack on Black Bull. Try to attack it repeatedly until
it starts to fly away. As you try to get to Black Bull, watch out for
the fireballs it spits out. Keep repeating the process of using the
Black Birds to reach Black Bull's face until half of its health is
gone.
The second part is a bit trickier. Black Bull will start firing shock
waves instead of fireballs, making it harder for you to perform homing
attacks on the face. Fortunately, some Black Arms soldiers will start
to appear and they have guns you can use. Take them out and use their
guns to damage Black Bull. Of course, you'll still need to use the
Black Birds to gain enough height to shoot Black Bull's face. Black
Bull will also fly faster, so try to keep up with it. Black Bull is
defeated once all of its health is gone.
A-rank tips: During the first half of the battle, try to do up to 6
homing attacks on Black Bull. Keep on doing 6 homing attacks on it
until its health is cut in half. Your hero gauge should be full at
that point. Use Chaos Control to slow time so that you'll have more
time to take out the Black Arms soldiers and take their guns. That
way, by the time Black Bull starts to attack, you'll be ready for it.
You should be able to do more damage on Black Bull with the gun than
with direct attacks.

Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> The Doom
Helper: None
Level: Normal
The stage starts near a door. The door is breakable, so try punching
it a few times. Past that door is another door. Again, no problem to
break. Inside is an air vent that'll ascend you to a path leading to
a tower. Inside is some loose ground. Lift it up and drop down.
You'll land on the first save point.
Past the save point is an Egg Pawn and a pumpkin-shaped balloon. Grab
the balloon and it'll take you to a grindable rail. Go on it and move
on. Below the rail are some torches and an Egg Ball. If you get close
to it, it'll throw bombs. You can pick them up and throw them back at
the Egg Ball. Be warned that the ball will explode afterwards.
Anyway, past those things are 2 unlit stone lanterns. If you use the
torches to light them up, a ball will appear. Use it to continue.
Ahead is a path leading to a Black Arms soldier, 2 Egg Pawns, and a
giant lantern (the one Eggman wants you to light up). Light the giant
lantern and a ball will appear ahead. The ball leads to a tower filled
with ghosts. You'll take damage if you hit the ghosts. You'll land on
the second save point after dodging the ghosts.
Ahead is another door, destroy it and then you'll encounter 2 Black
Birds, 2 Egg Pawns, and a balloon with a handle. Grab the balloon to
move on. Next, you must fall into one of the 3 towers the balloon will
go over. After going into a tower, grind on the rail ahead to advance
(all 3 towers have a rail you can grind on). Another door is ahead.
After destroying it, you'll enter a room with some bombs and some
broken walls. You can use the bombs to find out what's inside the
walls. Past that room is another breakable door. Go past it and then
use your homing attack on the Black Birds ahead. Past the Black Birds
are some Egg Pawns and a Black Hawk. If you take out the Black Hawk,
you'll then find out that you'll be able to ride on it. Press the X
Button while near it to get on.
While on the Black Hawk, you'll have to avoid other Black Hawks as you
advance. There are some balloons that you can run through to get some
items. You'll stay on the Black Hawk until you've reached the fourth
save point. There's another Black Hawk that's around that leads to the
third save point. I'll explain about that later.
After touching the fourth save point, take out the Egg Pawn ahead and
then grind on the rail behind it. The rail leads to an Egg Pawn and a
Black Arms soldier that are fighting each other. Past them are 2 balls
leading to some Black Arms Larvae and a door. Past the door are more
Black Arms Larvae. Get past them and then you'll encounter some walls
you can triangle jump on. Perform the triangle jump to get through.
If you fall, avoid the Black Arms Larvae below and use the platform
ahead to continue. The fifth save point and another door is ahead.
Break down the door and you'll encounter a Black Arms soldier and some
red slime. Go through the slime and it'll take you to another holdable
balloon. Grab hold and it'll take you to an area guarded by 2 Egg
Pawns. Jump off the balloon and take out the door ahead. When you
enter, watch out for the 2 Black Arms soldiers that'll appear. Past
them is another door. Go through and use the ball and springs ahead to
continue on.
The door ahead won't open unless the stone lanterns are lit. Find a
torch and use it to light the lanterns. The door will open, leading to
a passage into the castle. Inside is a bomb and a broken wall.
Destroy the wall and you'll encounter what may be a dead end. Try
snooping around for a crack in the walls. The wall at the far left is
the one you must break. Use the bomb in the room to destroy it.
Inside are more broken walls and a path leading to a bazooka. If you
grab it, the wall will start to move. Avoid the wall and then use the
bazooka to break the walls. Past the walls are 2 more paths. One that
has a stone lantern and one that has 2 torches and a bomb. Get rid of
the bomb and then grab a torch. Bring it to the stone lantern and a
path will open up. The path ahead leads to a large fan and 2 Egg
Pawns. The fan will activate once the Egg Pawns are gone. The vent
from the fan takes you to a room where the sixth save point is at.
Past the save point is some more slime. Use it to enter a slime
tunnel. Outside the tunnel is a giant room filled with Chao. They're
harmless, but attacking them will raise your dark gauge. There's also
a giant lantern at the center of the room, and a door straight ahead.
Head to that door and break it. Inside is an Egg Ball. Again, use the
bombs it throws to defeat it. You can also shoot the ball with a gun
to neutralize the Egg Ball so that you can destroy it directly without
having an explosion afterwards. Next, perform triangle jump on some
walls and that'll lead to a room with another some more loose ground.
If you've failed to figure out the triangle jump, use the path below,
leading to the same area. Just watch out for the Egg Ball in your
path.
Grab the loose ground and throw it. You'll find a rail to grind and a
hidden path. Get on the rail and move on. Soon, after advancing a
bit, the camera angle will change and a giant spider-like monster will
start chasing you. You must avoid it or else you'll fall to your doom.
To escape it, accelerate your grinding speed and follow the path of
rings. Some rings lead to dash circles. At the end are some springs
leading to the last save point (there are 8 save points in this stage),
and the goal ring. Touch it to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Just clear the mission as quickly as possible. Don't mess
around with too many enemies.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> Sky Troops
Helper: Amy
Level: Normal
You'll run into Amy instantly after destroying the first door. You'll
take the same path until you reach the second save point. Now, use the
balloon past the Egg Pawns and Black Birds to get to the towers. Next,
use the rails to get to the room containing bombs. If you move on, Amy
will then tell you that she might've heard Cream's voice. Go back and
use the bombs to destroy each of the broken walls. The left wall near
the exit is where Cream is hidden.
Next up is Cheese. Just continue the stage like normal until you reach
the sixth save point. Use the slime tunnel to reach the giant room
with Chao. If you try to find Cheese in this herd, you're out of luck.
Of course, Cheese is somewhere in this room. You'll know for sure once
Amy tells you that she can hear Cheese. One of the walls in this room
might move if you get close to it. The wall at the far right is the
moving wall you're looking for. Inside is a Chao with a bow tie.
That's Cheese you're looking at. Touch him and the mission is cleared.
A-rank tips: The Egg Pawns and Egg Balls are on the hero side in this
stage, so don't even bother destroying them. Stick to taking out the
Black Arms soldiers.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> Central City
Helper: Dr. Eggman
Level: Normal
You'll start this stage like normal until you reach the second save
point (the first giant lantern will be lit at that point). When you
grab the balloon ahead, head to the center tower. While in the center
tower, go back and you'll see a stone lantern and some torches. Light
the lantern and a ball will appear above the rail. Use it and you'll
find yourself near the second giant lantern. Light it up and continue.
Next, use the platforms to get to the other side. A Black Bird, an Egg
Pawn, and a Black Hawk is near. Take out the Black Hawk and ride on it
to advance. The path this Black Hawk takes is different and it'll
automatically let you off at the third save point. Past it is a rail
leading to a door and some Black Arms Larvae. Keep going like normal
until you get to the next balloon. Now, stay on the balloon until you
reach the ball. The ball leads to the third giant lantern. Find a
torch and use it to light it up. Now, keep going like normal until you
get to the sixth save point.
Before continuing, make sure you have a torch before using the slime
tunnel. In the Chao room, head to the giant lantern at the center and
light it up. You'll also realize that a hidden path has opened up.
Take the new path to proceed. A door is in your way. Destroy it and
move on. Grab another torch and take the balloon. There are 3
airborne stone lanterns to light up. Lighting all of them opens a
bridge and a new passage. There's a switch inside and that'll create a
line of rings that you can use to light dash with. At the end of the
ring path are 2 Black Birds and a Black Hawk. Take out the Black Hawk
and then get on it. You'll then take another flight path filled with
Black Hawks. Also, watch out for walls and other obstacles. You'll
automatically get off the Black Hawk one you've reached the
pumpkin-shaped tower. Inside is the last giant lantern. If you're
missing a giant lantern, use the seventh save point that's behind the
last giant lantern to go back. If all giant lanterns are lit, the
mission is done.
A-rank tips: Ignore what Eggman says to you when you destroy his
robots. Also, try to light up all of the giant lanterns as quickly as
possible.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is past the third giant lantern. Inside is an Egg
Pawn, a torch, and a path leading to a broken wall. Past that wall is
a room with 2 stone lanterns and a magnet barrier. Light them up and
some rings and another path will open. There's a switch and a door
ahead. Destroy the door and activate the switch. A path of rings will
appear after the switch is activated. Use the light dash on them to
get to the sixth save point.

You'll now go up against Eggman's Egg Breaker. Avoid the attacks the
robot sends at you as you try to attack it. You'll damage the machine
if you attack it directly, but you'll do more damage on it if you use
a gun on it. You must keep on damaging the Egg Breaker until it goes
down.
The Egg Breaker will attack with its spiked mallet and if you're too
far from it, it'll fire its spiked ball at you. It'll also rotate its
body and chase after you at times.
A-rank tips: Grab a gun and start firing at the Egg Breaker. Keep
firing at it as you dodge its attacks. You should have it taken down
in less than half a minute. If you're out of ammo, attack an Egg Pawn
and steal its gun.

Next Stage: Sky Troops

Level: Easy
The stage begins where you'll grind on a rail onto the island. Next,
move forward and use the spring to get to the first save point. After
touching the save point, move forward and watch out for the Beetles
ahead. After avoiding the Beetles, there's a gray rectangular panel in
the path. While on it, jump and you'll be sent flying to another area.
You'll land on the second save point once you've hit ground.
Ahead is a path leading to a stream of yellow water. The water is
poisonous, and can hurt you. Fortunately, there's a Black Arms soldier
riding on an air saucer. Take it out and use the saucer to advance.
The saucer isn't very strong, so a projectile can severely damage it.
Next are 2 paths you can take. One is the gray panel while the other
continues through the poisoned stream. I'll explain the path after
using the gray panel later on. Anyway, as you go downstream, some
Beetles will be in your path. Ignore them and move on. You'll
eventually reach an area filled with Black Arms Larvae. Keep going
forward and you'll then run into a gray panel. Use it to continue.
The panel takes you to the third save point.
Next up is a spring that'll take you to a pole. Jump from the pole to
some ground. Ahead are some Black Arms soldiers and some red fruits.
Evade them as you get to another set of springs. Past the springs are
a huge number of Black Arms soldiers. Get past them as you move
forward. Also, there are 2 Beetles on the path. At the path's end is
a gray, square panel. That also will give you some extra height.
Next up is a giant flower. You can't destroy it, but it will spit fire
at you. Get on the rail ahead and grab the ring pole. It'll take you
to a platform with one Black Arms soldier. Next, you must perform
triangle jump on the walls to move on. If you fall, just move forward
and use the springs. Just watch out for the Black Arms Larvae swarm
while getting there. Use the dash panel ahead to continue.
Next up, there are 2 Black Arms soldiers guarding a cage. Defeat them
to release a spring needed to reach the pole above. Get off it and
continue past the giant flower. Ahead is a door that isn't closed all
the way. Use spin dash to go under it. Next up is an elevator being
guarded by 2 Beetles and a GUN robot. Destroy them to rise the
elevator so that you can grab the pole above. Then, use the gray panel
to gain some height to reach another door. The door ahead is closed,
but the switch in front of it will open the door. Next, use the dash
panel to advance even further. You'll then land on the fourth save
point.
Past the save point are some more GUN robots. Avoid them and use the
spring to continue on. The loose ground ahead can stop the giant
flower's frenzy for awhile. Also, there's a Black Arms soldier on
another air saucer. Get it off and then use the saucer to go over
another poisoned stream. After going downstream, you'll see another
gray panel. I'll explain its route later as well. Also, some GUN
robots are around the area too. Keep going on the stream as you avoid
GUN robots. Also, you'll eventually encounter a Gold Beetle in your
path. It can be useful for the dark mission. Anyway, you'll soon
reach a platform that a GUN robot is on. Continue towards the gray
panel ahead and you'll then fall onto the fifth save point.
Use the elevator ahead to get to a set of GUN robots and Black Arms
soldiers. Ignore the dash circle ahead and continue forward. The goal
ring is just ahead. Touch it to finish the mission.
A-rank tips: Don't waste too much time with the enemies. Just keep
moving towards the goal ring.

Hero Mission
Next Stage: Mad Matrix
Helper: Charmy
Level: Normal
After passing the first save point, keep on moving and you'll
eventually run into Charmy. Also, not too far from him is the first
top secret disk. Grab the disk and then use the gray panel to advance
to the second save point. Use the air saucer that a Black Arms soldier
is on to go over the poisonous stream. Now, instead of continuing
downstream, use the gray panel ahead to take an alternate route. The
route the gray panel takes you leads to a bunch of Black Arms soldiers.
Take them out and use the next air saucer to cross another poisoned
stream. At the end of the stream are 2 Black Arms soldiers. Get rid
of them and keep going. There's a dash panel ahead that'll take you to
another dash panel leading to the third save point.
Continue following the normal path after passing the third save point.
Eventually, you'll see a gray panel that'll give you some extra height.
Avoid the giant flower and use the ring pole to get on a platform.
Deal with the lone Black Arms soldier and then use triangle jump to get
to another platform. That platform has the second top secret disk.
Now, keep continuing forward until you reach the fourth save point.
Continue to the part where you'll have to take the Black Arms soldier's
air saucer. Now, use the saucer to go downstream. You should head
to the gray panel ahead to continue on. The panel will take you to
another poisoned stream and another gray panel. The gray panel takes
you to an area with 2 Black Arms soldiers on air saucers and a giant
flower. Continue forward and you'll find the third top secret disk.
Head to another stream and use the next gray panel in your path. The
panel ahead leads to a stream that has a rail at the end. You can
use the rail to continue on. Finally, use the gray panel to get to the
fifth save point. After passing by a set of GUN robots and Black Arms
soldiers, use the dash circle to get on a platform. Ignore the goal
ring below you. Instead, use triangle jump to get to the platform
where the fourth top secret disk is. Use the dash panel ahead to get
to the sixth save point.
Now, you must deal with 2 more Black Arms soldiers. One of them is on
an air saucer. Use it to go down the poisonous stream ahead. At the
end of the stream is a gray panel. Use it to reach another poisoned
stream. There are 2 Black Arms soldiers there as well. When you head
downstream, watch out for debris in your path. Finally, use the gray
panel at the end to get to the last save point and the last top secret
disk.
If you've used the rails at the left and right of the gray panel
however, you'll land at a spot where you'll have to take out 2 Black
Arms Worms. After taking out the Black Arms Worms, remove some loose
ground to reveal a gray panel. Use it to get to the last save point
and the last top secret disk. If you're missing a top secret disk, use
the last save point to go back.
A-rank tips: Take out just the Black Arms soldiers. Also, get the
top secret disks as quickly as you can.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: The Doom
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Easy
After passing the first save point, move forward and take out the
Beetles ahead. You should've taken out 5/40 GUN robots by the time
you've reached the second save point. Now, use the air saucer ahead
and go down the poisoned stream. Don't use the gray panel ahead. Just
stay on the stream and take out the GUN robots as you go. By the time
you reach the third save point, 12/40 GUN robots should be destroyed.
Now, keep taking the normal path as you take out the GUN robots. Once
you've gotten to the fourth save point, 15/40 GUN robots should've been
destroyed. Past the fourth save point are more GUN robots to crush.
Shoot each of them down before advancing to the springs. Next, take
the air saucer and go on the poisoned stream ahead. Ignore the gray
panel and just take out the GUN robots in your path. You should've
taken out 38/40 (39/40 if you've destroyed the Gold Beetle) GUN robots
once you've reached the fifth save point. Destroy the last 2 GUN
robots and the mission is finished. If for some reason you're missing
a GUN robot, use the fifth save point to go back (there are no GUN
robots beyond the goal ring).
A-rank tips: Look everywhere for the GUN robots. Also, avoid taking
out too many Black Arms soldiers.

Normal Mission
Next Stage: Mad Matrix
Helper: None
Level: Normal
You'll begin by passing a dash panel and by hitting some balls. You'll
then land at the entrance to Eggman's theme park. There are Egg Pawns
ahead. Avoid them and use the crates to go up. Next, you'll follow a
path leading to some sort of target. Past that are 2 Egg Pawns and an
Egg Ball. Destroy the Egg Ball to have some balls appear between some
cylinder platforms. The cylinders lead to the first save point.
Past the save point is an Egg Pawn and a shooting gallery. I'll
explain how the shooting gallery works later on. Pass the shooting
gallery and there will be some balls to bounce on. After bouncing on
them all, you'll land on a platform where a Beetle is at. Past that
Beetle are a few more Beetles. Use your homing attack on them to
continue. If you fall though, take out the Egg Ball and then use the
cylinder platforms ahead to continue. Next up is the coaster. Grab
hold of it and it'll take you to another area. While holding onto it,
you can move left or right with the Control Stick. Once you let go,
you'll bounce onto more balls and then land on the second save point.
Next up are 2 routes to take. One has GUN soldiers while the other has
Egg Pawns. Both lead to a GUN turret at the other side. The GUN
turret is used for another shooting gallery. Past the turret is a fire
hoop. You'll earn some rings for passing through it, but be warned
that you can take damage from it. Next, grind on the rope ahead. Past
the rope are more Egg Pawns and GUN soldiers. Also, there's another
rope leading to a rocket. If you use the rocket, it'll take you above
the tower that you'll enter in if you used homing attacks on the
Beetles. Once you let go of the rocket, let go of the parachute as
well. There's a balloon with a prize below you though. At the other
side of the tower are 2 more Egg Pawns. Take them out and then you'll
see a line of rings and a fire hoop. Use the light dash to get through
all of them. There's an Egg Ball below, so feel free to destroy it.
You'll then land on the third save point.
Keep going forward and you'll take a passage leading to another target
like the one you saw earlier. There's a gap and a ball at the middle
of the passage though. If you hit the ball, you'll take an easy route
to hit the target. If you go down though, take out the Egg Ball and
use the path ahead. That path also leads to the target. Past the
target are some more GUN soldiers and a lone Egg Pawn. Use the stairs
ahead to continue on. The springs past the stairs lead to the fourth
save point.
Past the fourth save point is another path and some more Egg Pawns. At
the end of the path are 2 walls you can triangle jump from.
If you fall, take the lower path where another Egg Pawn lurks. Past it
is a bar you can use to go down. Avoid the GUN robot and enter the
tower. Use another bar to go down and you'll see a GUN robot and an
Egg Ball. If you took the upper route, you'll end up above the Egg
Ball, but there are some balls that'll lead to another target to hit.
Past the target is the fifth save point.
Next up are some Egg Pawns and an interesting shooting gallery that
involves you grinding on a rope. At the end of the rope is a rocket,
a cage, and 2 Beetles. The cage won't open until the Beetles are taken
out. However, if you jump high enough, you should reach the rocket
without opening the cage. The rocket takes you to another tower. As
you descend on the parachute afterwards, watch out for the fire hoops
below. Down below is a turret, a GUN robot, and an Egg Pawn on a
cylinder platform. You see the ball ahead. If you triangle jump to
it, it'll bounce you to another target. Also, behind the target is a
Gold Beetle. Taking it out will be helpful for the dark mission.
If you don't succeed with the triangle jump, just move forward and
deal with the Egg Ball. Then, use the spring below the target to
advance. Past the target is another path, but this one leads to a
giant tent. Avoid the Egg Ball and GUN robots ahead and you'll then
reach the sixth save point.
After touching the sixth save point, head to the giant tent. Inside
is another shooting gallery and an Egg Ball. To the left is a bar you
can ascend with. At the top of the bar is a grind rope and a fire
hoop. Go through the hoop with your homing attack. Past the rope is
a spring sending you to a ring pole that'll take you out of the tent.
Jump off the ring pole and grind on another rope. Another fire hoop
is there too, so be sure to do a homing attack through it. At the end
is another coaster. Get on and get ready for a long ride. When you
get off the coaster, you'll fall into a tower with fire hoops below.
Avoid them all and you'll then land on the last save point. Past that
is the goal ring. Touch it to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Try to use Chaos Control frequently as you head to the
goal ring.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Death Ruins
Helper: Tails
Level: Normal
You'll run into Tails rather quickly. During this mission, you should
do your best to hit every target and collect every ring in you path.
Also, when doing the shooting gallery, make sure that you shoot the
yellow and red balloons, but not the balloons with Eggman's face.
If you don't have 400 rings once you've reached the last save point,
use the save point to go back. Mission is completed once you've
collected 400 or more rings.
The targets wield you 50 rings. Fire hoops wield 5 rings. And the
shooting gallery will give you up to 50 rings maximum. Remember that
you'll lose 10 rings if you take damage.
A-rank tips: The Egg Pawns and Egg Balls are on the dark side in this
stage, so take them out as you collect the rings. Also, avoid taking
out too many GUN soldiers.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Sky Troops
Helper: Dr. Eggman
Level: Easy
After passing the first save point and shooting gallery, you'll run
into Eggman. Use the balls ahead to continue forward. Next, take out
the 4 Beetles ahead. Use the coaster to head to the second save point.
You should've taken out 4/20 GUN soldiers by now. Next, take the left
path and eliminate the 2 GUN soldiers there. Continue towards the rope
and there should be 4 more GUN soldiers ahead. You should've taken out
10/20 GUN soldiers once you've reached the third save point.
Now, continue forward until you've reached the target. Past it are 3
more GUN soldiers. That should mean that 13/20 GUN soldiers are
defeated once you've reached the fourth save point. Keep moving until
you've reached the 2 walls you can triangle jump from. Go down and
take the bar ahead to descend. A GUN robot is near the tower entrance.
Next, enter the tower and use the bar ahead to descend once more.
Another GUN robot is there. Once you've reached the fifth save point,
15/20 GUN soldiers should be gone.
Once you've grinded past the rope, instead of getting the rocket, go
down and take out the 2 Beetles. Then use the spring in the cage to
reach the rocket. Once you've gotten past the fire hoops, take out
the GUN robot ahead. Now if you hit the target ahead, you can attack
the Gold Beetle behind it (19/20 GUN soldiers will be defeated if you
take out the Gold Beetle). There are 2 more GUN robots near the sixth
save point. You've cleared the mission if 20 GUN soldiers are
destroyed. If you're missing one though, use the sixth save point to
go back (there are no GUN soldiers beyond the sixth save point).
A-rank tips: Try to leave most of Eggman's robots alone. Also, get rid
of the GUN soldiers as quickly as possible.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
If you pass the fourth save point and then use triangle jump on some
walls, you'll find a secret door. Inside the door is another shooting
gallery you can use. The spring inside will take you out of the tower.

Next Stage: Air Fleet
Helper: Knuckles
Level: Normal
You'll start the stage between 2 routes. Take the one Knuckles is at.
There are some bombs that you must get rid of. However, DON'T attack
them. Fortunately, there's a Black Arms soldier wielding a vacuum gun
you can use. There are 2 bombs in the area that you can suck up with
the gun. Now, continue moving until you see some green liquid. The
liquid is poisonous. Go left and you'll see some springs and a rocket.
The rocket takes you to a building in which taking a dash panel will
lead to another bomb you must suck up. Below that bomb is a Black Arms
soldier and another bomb. The bomb past that will explode however, but
you can use the path ahead to continue. That's 4/20 bombs down.
Next, wait for the helicopter to come so that you can grab the handle.
The helicopter will take you to another bomb to suck up with the vacuum
gun. Go down and take a right to suck up the sixth bomb. Now turn
around and go forward until you see a bar. Grab it and descend.
You'll then find the second save point in this stage. You've gotten
6/20 bombs at this point now.
Past the save point are 2 Black Arms soldiers and 2 bombs (one of them
will explode). Continue on as you suck up bombs and you'll eventually
run into a Giant Black Arms soldier. It's strong, but can still be
handled with ease. The third save point is straight ahead. Now, take
a right from the save point and you should find another bomb. After
that, go back to where you've fought the Giant Black Arms soldier. Now
go take the tunnel and you should find another bomb. Outside the
tunnel is some more poisonous liquid. You can use a GUN vehicle to get
through it. Go forward and you'll encounter more enemies to deal with.
As you go through the liquid, make sure that you're sucking up as many
bombs as possible. Now, take a right and you should find another bomb
and a GUN vehicle. Go into the tunnel first to find some more bombs to
suck up before getting a ride on the GUN vehicle. You should've found
13/20 bombs at the most.
Now take the GUN vehicle to the right and suck up more bombs during the
process. Once you've reached one of the giant bombs, go to the other
side of it and use a bomb to destroy a wall. Next, there's a bar you
can climb on. Use it to get to the top. The fourth save point is up
there. Hopefully you've sucked up 15/20 bombs. Continue forward as
you watch out for enemies and bombs. There are 2 more bombs to find
around this vicinity. After you find them, find the rocket and you'll
then land on the fifth save point. That's 17/20 bombs now.
Get on the GUN vehicle now and drive through the poisonous liquid.
There are more bombs ahead, but most will explode when you get close.
Once you've reached the area where there's a giant bomb, get up on the
road above and hunt down some more bombs. Avoid the enemies as well.
Once you've touched the last save point, you should've found 19/20
bombs. Find one more bomb and you've completed the mission.
A-rank tips: Try to find 20 bombs as quickly as possible. Also, make
sure that you take out just the Black Arms soldiers.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: The ARK
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
You'll start the stage between 2 routes. Take the route where Doom's
Eye is. Ahead is a wall that can be destroyed by a bomb. Fortunately,
there's a bomb in front of it. Blow it up to reveal some springs.
Take them and you'll land on a building. There's a weight ahead. Use
it to get to the first save point in this stage. Ahead are 2 Black
Arms soldiers and the first giant bomb. Shoot the bomb with a gun to
detonate it. When the bomb explodes, a long platform will drop,
allowing you to advance.
At the end of the long platform are some GUN soldiers. Take them out
and then use the weight past them to ascend. At the top is a Black
Arms soldier and some walls that you MUST triangle jump from to reach
the other side. Once you've reached the other side, avoid the lone
Black Arms soldier ahead as you detonate the second giant bomb. That
bomb will destroy a wall that's blocking your path.
Past the destroyed wall is a rocket. Use it to keep on going. Next,
get off the parachute that you'll hold onto eventually and proceed down
the road. Avoid the enemies down there as well. There's a gap past
the road ahead. Use the dash panels near the gap to get over it.
Next, take a right where some GUN soldiers are and jump onto some
platforms. Then, take a left and you'll find a giant bomb that's
caged. Take out the GUN robots that'll appear to open the cage. Once
opened, set off the third giant bomb. Now, head to the third save
point and take the tunnel ahead.
Avoid the red fruits in this tunnel as you move forward. Outside the
tunnel is a GUN vehicle and some green liquid. The liquid is
poisonous. Get in the vehicle and take a right. Keep moving and then
you'll see the fourth giant bomb. It too is caged. Take out the GUN
robots to open the cage and then shoot at the bomb to detonate it.
Only one more to detonate now.
Past the destroyed fourth bomb is a wall that can be taken out with a
bomb. Destroy it and use the bar ahead to ascend. At the top is the
fourth save point. Now, keep moving as you avoid enemies and you'll
eventually see a rocket. The rocket takes you to the fifth save point,
a GUN vehicle, and more poisonous liquid. Past the save point is a
platform that's above the liquid. Jump on it and head to the springs
past it. Above are some GUN soldiers. There's also some stairs
leading to a caged spring. Take out the GUN soldiers near it to open
it up. There's also some walls to the right of the cage that you
can triangle jump from. The spring takes you to 2 poles and a rocket.
The triangle jump path leads to a GUN turret. The rocket takes you to
the last giant bomb. Take out the GUN soldiers and then the bomb
itself to finish the mission. You can also use the turret to take care
of things.
A-rank tips: Take out as many GUN soldiers as possible while heading
towards the giant bombs. Ignore the Black Arms soldiers.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
At the third save point, take the tunnel ahead. Once you get out of
the tunnel, use the GUN vehicle ahead to get over the liquid. Take a
left and you should see the secret door. Inside the door is an air

Level: Normal
You'll begin in a small room. Enter the doors ahead and take the path
there. Ahead is a switch activating an elevator, a heal unit, and one
of the wounded researchers. I'll explain about the researcher later.
Continue on to another door. Ahead is a small passage that requires
you to spin dash under. Past it is the first save point and some doors
leading to a room filled with GUN soldiers. Take a right and dodge the
GUN soldiers. Past the researcher ahead is another door. Go in it and
move on. You'll then be in a room where you'll have to take one of 2
paths. The door to the left is locked, so you'll have to take the
right path. Ahead are some GUN soldiers that'll break through the
walls to get you. Avoid them and take the doors ahead.
Past those doors is some loose ground and a GUN robot. Smash the robot
with the ground. Now, take the upward path ahead and as you avoid GUN
soldiers, take the downward path as well. Past the downward path is a
bomb you can use to destroy some broken walls. The broken wall at the
far left is your target. Past that wall is a door leading to another
room. That room is also filled with some GUN soldiers. Avoid them and
you'll eventually see the second save point.
Past the save point is a door that leads to another 2-way path. To the
left are GUN soldiers and a heal unit. Take the right path and use the
doors there to advance. Next, take a left. Then another left once
you've avoided the GUN soldiers. Another door is there. In there is
another small passage. Spin dash under it to continue. Ahead is some
doors leading to a room with a wounded researcher and an elevator
moving left and right. Get on the elevator when it's close enough and
then start performing triangle jumps past it. You MUST make it to the
other side or else you'll fall to your doom.
At the other side is a heal unit and a bomb. Use the bomb to destroy
the wall ahead. Past it are some working fans. You can use the vents
from the fans to continue. Ahead is a wall that'll break from some
GUN soldiers. Get past them and you'll be in another fan room. Use
the fans there to reach the other side. Again, the wall ahead will
get destroyed by GUN soldiers. Past the soldiers and a GUN robot is
another door. Also, to the left is a broken wall. Destroy the wall
and you'll be back in the room where the second save point is. Go
back and take the door ahead. Past the door are even more GUN
soldiers. Avoid them and keep moving. Past a heal unit is the fourth
save point for this stage.
Continue towards the door, but ahead is a bunch of GUN soldiers that'll
drop down to ambush you. Past them, you'll see a broken wall. Use an
explosive gun to destroy it. Inside is a non-working fan room.
There's also a Gold Beetle that'll appear. It could be helpful for the
dark mission. Go back to the room where those GUN soldiers are and
take the door to the left of the room you were just in. Ahead's
another 2-way path room. You'll also see 3 GUN robots appear to try to
take you out. The left path is closed, but the right one is still open
for you. Past the door are 2 GUN soldiers and a spring. Use it to
ascend to some more springs and a fan that'll take you to a door.
Ahead is a downward path and a room holding the fifth save point.
Now go back to the room you were at. You'll see a path to the left
that was created by 2 GUN soldiers. Get past them and continue forth.
Ahead is a gap and 3 Beetles. Use a homing attack on them to reach the
other side. Another door is ahead. Take it to head to another 2-way
passage. Get past the GUN robots ahead and take the left path to the
last save point.
Next up is a room filled with numerous GUN soldiers. Avoid them,
activate the switch that activates the elevator, and then use the
elevator to ascend. Beware of the 2 GUN robots above you. Take a left
and use the elevator there to continue going up. At the top are some
Beetles that'll try to shoot you. Avoid them and head to the third
elevator in this area. Activate the switch near it to activate the
elevator. Once you've reached the top, get off the elevator, enter the
door ahead, and you'll see the goal ring. You've survived the mission.
A-rank tips: Know your way through the ARK. Don't waste time going

with GUN soldiers. There are 2 researchers in that room. There's also
a heal unit you can use to heal them. If you used a heal unit, another
heal unit will appear so that you can use it on the third researcher.
That should be 3/10 researchers saved.
Use the door past the third researcher to continue on. Continue
towards the second save point. Near it is a destroyed wall leading to
another researcher. Use the heal unit near the second save point to
heal him. Now head to the door leading to another 2-way path. A
researcher is lying there. The heal unit to the left of him can be
used, but the GUN soldiers near the heal unit can be troublesome.
After saving that researcher, head to the right path and take the door
there to head to a room with some elevators. Avoid the GUN soldiers
and use the elevator ahead to ascend. Make sure to activate the switch
for it first. At the top is the third save point.
Past the third save point is another elevator. Use it to ascend even
higher. At the top of that elevator are 2 Beetles and the third
elevator for this area. Activate the switch for it and go up. At the
top, 3 GUN soldiers will be set to ambush you. Avoid them and take the
doors ahead. At the end is a spring that'll ascend you to a bar. Use
the bar to descend. Below is a door leading to a room with a heal
unit. Also, a wall will break and 2 GUN soldiers will start chasing
you. Past the room where the 2 GUN soldiers came from are 2 more
researchers. You can heal both of them with just one heal unit. That
should make 7/10 researchers saved.
Now, go back to the room with the bar. Use the spring below the bar to
get hold. Now ascend back to the top. Drop down and head back to the
room where the 3 GUN soldiers that ambushed you earlier are. Drop down
to the bottom level and take the door to the right. Spin dash under
the small passage and then take the door ahead. You'll see the eighth
researcher and an elevator leading to another heal unit. Head to the
heal unit, grab it, and take the elevator back to the researcher. That
should be 8/10 researchers saved now. Now, keep going forward until
you've reached the fourth save point.
There are no researchers beyond the fourth save point, but before
you've got to the fourth save point, you might've noticed that some GUN
soldiers broke through a wall. Behind them is another researcher.
Grab the heal unit near the save point and bring it to the researcher.
Lastly, to the left of the researcher is some walls to triangle jump
on. Get to the other side and you should see another heal unit and a
door. Past the door is the last researcher. Heal him up and you've
cleared the mission.
A-rank tips: Try putting out fires as you progress. There are no dark
side enemies in this stage, so you need to make sure that you don't
take out too many GUN soldiers.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Heavy Dog (boss) -> The ARK
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
You'll run into Doom's Eye after passing the first save point. Head
into the room ahead. There are some GUN soldiers that need to be taken
out. Next, head to the door to the right. At the 2-way passage, take
the right path. There, 4 GUN soldiers will break through some walls.
Take them out and head to the door. A GUN robot is ahead. Use the
loose ground to take it out. Now, take the upward path ahead and take
out the 2 GUN soldiers near the downward path. That should be 11/60
GUN soldiers defeated.
Past the downward path is a bomb. Use it to destroy a broken wall to
the left. Take the path there and you'll see a door leading to a room
filled with more GUN soldiers. You should've taken out 14/60 GUN
soldiers once you've reached the second save point. Go to the door
ahead to another 2-way path. Take a left and you'll see 2 GUN
soldiers. Eliminate them and then take the right path to another door.
Past that door is a room filled with some elevators. Take out the GUN
soldiers at the lower level and then use the elevator to ascend. The
third save point is past the first elevator. That should be 19/60 GUN
soldiers eliminated.
Now, take the second elevator to the next level. There are some
Beetles patrolling the area. Next, use the switch to activate the
third elevator. At the top are 3 more GUN soldiers. Take them out and
advance to the doors to the left. At the end is a spring leading to a
path with a bar. Use the bar to descend. Below is a door leading to
a room with a heal unit. Go in and some GUN soldiers will break
through a wall to take you out. Take them out and then return to the
room with the bar. Use the spring to get to the bar and then ascend.
Get to the top and use the path back to the elevator room. You've
taken out 26/60 GUN soldiers now.
Drop down to the lowest level and take the door to the right. Spin
dash under the small passage ahead and then use the door to proceed.
A researcher and an elevator is ahead. Ignore the researcher and use
the elevator to reach the other side (the triangle jump can also work).
Use the bomb ahead to take out a broken wall. Past the wall is a fan
room. Use the fans to get to the other side. Some GUN soldiers will
break through a wall ahead. Take them out and then head to the next
fan room. At the other side of that room are more GUN soldiers that
broke through a wall. Eliminate them along with the GUN robot at the
end and then make a right to the door ahead. Some more GUN soldiers
are ahead past the door. Eliminate them and then advance to the fourth
save point. That's 35/60 GUN soldiers down.
Head to the door ahead and then 3 GUN soldiers will drop down on you.
Take them all out and then head to the door past them. Past the door
is another 2-way path and 3 GUN robots. Exterminate them and then take
the right path. Some GUN soldiers are past the door ahead. Take them
out and then use the springs ahead to ascend to a door above. Take the
downward path and then at the end, some more GUN soldiers will appear
past a destroyed wall. Take them out first before you head to the
fifth save point. Don't stop yet, you've only got 45/60 GUN soldiers.
Enter the path the GUN soldiers created and you'll then see 3 Beetles
above a gap. Take them all out before heading to the other side. Take
the door ahead to another 2-way path. Some more GUN robots are ahead.
Take them out and then go left. You'll then go past the last save
point. That's 50/60 GUN soldiers down now. Ahead are more GUN
soldiers. Take them out and then take the door to the left. Past the
door is a caged spring and a lone GUN soldier. Take him out to open
the cage and use the spring in there. The spring takes you to another
room with a GUN soldier (56/60 GUN soldiers defeated now). Go back
down and return to the elevator room. Activate the switch to make the
elevator rise. At the top, 2 GUN robots will surround you. Destroy
them and then use the next elevator up. Above are 2 Beetles.
Eliminate them and you should've taken out all 60 GUN soldiers.
However, if you're missing one, go back to the last save point and
use it to teleport. Also, if you've entered into the non-working fan
room (I've explained that room on the normal mission walkthrough), the
Gold Beetle in there does count as a GUN soldier to destroy, but isn't
necessary to the completion of the mission.
A-rank tips: Think fast! Remember where the GUN soldiers are and take
them out quickly.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
In the first 2-way path, there's a ring pole you can use to go up.
Above is the secret door. Inside is a switch that opens a cage inside
the first elevator room. Head to that room and grab the lone ring. A
platform will start to move, taking you outside the ARK.
The platform leads to a dash panel that'll take you to a dash circle.
You'll then land on another platform. Also, a moving platform will be
heading to it. Use the platform to head to the platform ahead. Use
the dash panel and the dash circle to get to another platform with
another dash panel and dash circle. You'll then land on another
platform with another moving platform coming towards it. Use it to
reach the other platform and a dash panel taking you to a grind rail
with a spring at the end. Hitting the spring takes you to a path of
dash circles taking you to another grind rail with a spring. Use it
to get to the platform at the end.
The platform ahead will start to move and will take you back into
the ARK. You're now in the second elevator room. This secret path is
useful for getting an easy A-rank on the normal mission.

Boss Battle
Boss: Heavy Dog
Side: Hero
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
The Heavy Dog is a type of GUN weapon equipped with a series of
weapons. Some of the weapons it holds are removable. Perform a homing
attack on the weapons to remove them from the machine. Next, grab the
weapon and fire some missiles at Heavy Dog. By doing this, you'll also
remove more weapons from it. Keep on doing this and Heavy Dog is
finished.
Heavy Dog has some attacks you must watch though. The Particle Beam
Cannon will damage anything in Heavy Dog's path. Fortunately, it takes
time for it to charge up. However, the charge time speeds up once half
of Heavy Dog's health is gone. The color lights that appear around
Heavy Dog tells you how much energy is built up. The energy percentage
goes from red, to yellow, and to blue. The Particle Beam Cannon is at
full power once the blue lights show. Heavy Dog's other weapons are
some hovering bombs and some missiles.
A-rank tips: Strike the Heavy Dog with some homing attacks until a
weapon drops. Grab the weapon and immediately shoot at Heavy Dog.
Keep on attacking Heavy Dog while avoiding its weapons and you should
take out Heavy Dog in less than a minute.

Normal Mission
Next Stage: Iron Jungle
Helper: None
Level: Normal
You'll start the stage by passing a few dash panels and some looped
paths. At the end, you'll land on the first save point. Ahead are
some Egg Pawns and Black Arms soldiers. Evade them as you head to the
stair tunnel ahead. Past the tunnel are some dash panels leading to
the second save point and the first temple.
Go in and avoid any Black Arms soldiers in there. Ahead is a Black
Arms soldier that's guarding a door. Take it out to open it. Past
the door are some Black Arms Larvae and a ring pole. Grab the ring
pole to get out of the temple and then head to the trail of rings
ahead. Use the light dash on them to continue on. Next up, you'll
see a GUN walker. The GUN walker can jump very high, and can be used
to get up the next few platforms ahead. Once you've reached the top
platform, ditch the GUN walker and head forward. Watch out for the
Black Arms soldier ahead as well. As you go uphill, some pillars will
start to come down. Avoid them as you go up. Eventually, you'll see
a rocket you can use to continue on. After releasing the rocket, use
the parachute to descend to the platform below. Watch out for the
Black Hawks as you go down though. Past the platform is the third
save point and another temple.
Avoid the Egg Pawns that are in front of the temple. Inside are some
more Black Arms soldiers. Also, another door is being guarded. Take
out the Black Arms soldiers guarding the door to continue on. Past the
door are some red fruits and some debris ahead. Destroy the debris to
reveal some springs. Use them to get out of the temple. Past the
temple are some Black Arms Larvae and a weight. Get on the weight and
then take the path ahead. You'll then follow a loop and finally run
into a dash panel taking you another ruins area.
Ahead is a Black Arms soldier. Get past it and eventually, you'll
see some Egg Pawns firing their bazookas at the pillars and Black Arms
soldiers. Avoid the explosions and pillars while trying to get to the
next stair tunnel. Past the tunnel is another dash panel leading to a
platform with another GUN walker. Get on the GUN walker and use its
high jumping strength to jump from one platform to the next. Watch
for the Black Arms soldiers on some of them though. After jumping on a
set of platforms, you'll eventually land on a platform with a Giant
Black Arms soldier on it. Fire your weapon to take it out or just keep
moving. There are a few more platforms to jump to and you'll
eventually reach a platform with a rocket. Get off the GUN walker and
use the rocket to reach another area. You'll land on the fourth save
point at that point.
Past the fourth save point are 2 paths you can take. The left one
leads to a loop while the right one takes you down to a couple Black
Arms soldiers. The left path is quicker for this mission. Of course,
both paths lead to the same spot. Ahead are some more stone buildings.
Watch out for the Black Arms soldiers and Egg Pawns as you get in.
Some Black Arms Larvae are inside the building. Past them is some more
debris leading to some springs. Outside the building is a switch and
a dash panel. Touching the switch will make a ring path appear. You
can either use light dash on the rings or use the dash panel to
continue. Both will lead to a different spot. The dash panel takes
you to some more ruins. Beware of the Black Arms soldiers as you head
to the stair tunnel. Outside the tunnel are some dash panels leading
to the fifth save point and the third temple.
The Black Hawks ahead are defending the temple entrance. Get past them
and go in. Inside are some Egg Pawns and some Black Arms soldiers. At
the other side, take out the Black Arms soldiers defending the door and
go through. There are some Black Arms Larvae past the door, and some
springs. Use the springs and you'll not only leave the temple, but
you'll also access an area that has turbulent weather conditions. Grab
the rocket and then descend to the sixth save point.
You'll hear thunder in this area, but you won't have to worry about
getting hit by lightning. Anyway, continue forward and you'll see some
more Black Arms soldiers. At the end of the path is a Black Hawk.
Take it out and then ride on its back. While flying, watch out for
Black Hawks and for the pillars collapsing around you. You'll
eventually enter a tunnel filled with balloons and Black Hawks. If you
lose your Black Hawk, just run forward until you get out of the tunnel.
Outside, you'll no longer be in the stormy area, but you will see
Eggman's flagship ahead. If you still have the Black Hawk, you'll fly
up until you get to the seventh save point. If your Black Hawk is
gone, use the rocket below the tunnel to get there. Past the seventh
save point are some Black Arms turrets and some Black Arms soldiers.
Past them all is the last save point, and the goal ring. Touch the
goal ring to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Don't waste too much time with enemies. Also, try using
Chaos Control frequently.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Space Gadget
Helper: Dr. Eggman
Level: Normal
You'll run into Eggman after passing the second save point. The first
temple jewel is in the first temple. Use weapons to destroy it. The
second temple jewel is past the third save point inside the second
temple.
To get to the third temple jewel, pass through the fourth save point
and use the right path. Take out the Black Arms soldiers and the Black
Arms Larvae as you move on. Do a couple jumps and you'll eventually
reach the stone building. Dodge the Egg Pawns and the Black Arms
Larvae inside the building. Next, destroy the debris covering the
springs. When outside the building, use the dash panels to move on.
The third temple jewel is guarded by 2 Giant Black Arms soldiers.
The fourth temple jewel is past the fifth save point inside the third
temple. And finally, the last temple jewel is between the seventh save
point and the last save point.
A-rank tips: Eliminate the Black Arms soldiers as you go and make sure
that you don't miss any temple jewels during the process.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Air Fleet
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
The first battleship is past the first save point. You can destroy it
with the turret ahead. First, take out the cannons and then the body
itself. After a couple blows, the battleship will collapse. Now,
continue up to the third save point. Get through the temple and all of
its obstacles. When out of the temple, evade the Black Arms Larvae and
use the weight to get to the path with a loop. Past the path is a dash
panel and the second battleship. The turret is between the Black Arms
soldiers and the Egg Pawns. Again, take out the second battleship like
you did with the first one. That's 2/5 battleships down now.
The third battleship is past the fourth save point. Take the right
path. You'll see the battleship and a turret. Take out that
battleship and keep on moving. When you reach the stone building, take
out the debris past the Black Arms Larvae and use the springs ahead.
Past the tower is a switch. Activate it to create a ring path. Now,
use the light dash on the ring path and you'll then go past some dash
circles. You'll land on a platform with a turret. The fourth
battleship is to the left of the turret. That's 4/5 battleships
destroyed now.
The fifth and final battleship is the flagship itself. Head past the
seventh save point and then use one of the 2 turrets. Fire at the
cannons and then the body itself. Do all that and you've just taken
out all of the battleships for this mission.
A-rank tips: The Egg Pawns are on the hero side in this stage, so make
sure to take them out as you move forward. Also, while you may have to
take out some Black Arms soldiers, avoid taking out too many of them.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
Past the sixth save point is the secret door. Inside is a Black Volt.
You can use it to take out the debris and balloons ahead of you.

Normal Mission
Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> Space Gadget
Helper: None
Level: Normal
The stage begins in a circuit tunnel. Outside the tunnel is a platform
with a red pad. It acts as a spring when touched. Above is a path
with some Egg Pawns. Avoid them and then you'll eventually be stopped
by a color-coded barrier. In front of it are some colored panels.
Stepping on them will change their color. Try to set it so all panels
are set to the same color. That'll open up the barrier. Next up are
2 more Egg Pawns and some green pads that made a barrier. Take the
barrier out and then you'll see some yellow Virtual Cells. Evade them
and you'll then see some green pads, some light poles, and the first
save point.
Now, take the pole to ascend to the cube above. Then, take either the
left or right route. They'll both lead to some green barriers and a
red pad. Take the red pad to some more light poles and a cube. Again,
take either the left or right route. They'll both lead to an upward
path with some yellow Virtual Cells ahead. Above the upward path are
2 more colored panels. This time though, you'll need to use a gun to
change their colors. You should've taken out an Egg Pawn and then grab
its gun before getting here. Anyway, have both panels be the same
color and then 2 cubes will descend. Use them to get to a room with 2
red lasers and a terminal. Activating the terminal ahead will create a
vent, taking you out of the blue tower.
Ahead are 3 circuit panels you can take. You'll then take a circuit
path that leads to various routes. Around the area you're in are 4
towers. A green, blue (the one you've just left), yellow, and red
tower. Your target for this mission is the red tower. Just take some
various paths and eventually you'll find a path heading there. When
you've reached the red tower, you might or might not end up at a spot
where some green pads will appear. Anyway, ahead is the last save
point for this stage (there are 6 save points total).
Past the save point are some more colored panels. Remember to set them
to the same color. After doing that, a ring path will appear. Use the
light dash on them and you'll reach the red tower entrance. The
entrance is blocked by another color-coded barrier. Again, set the
colored panels on the ground to the same color to get rid of it.
Inside will be some Egg Pawns and an orange Virtual Cell. Past them is
a path leading to another colored panel puzzle. Set the panels to the
same color and then they'll all ascend like a platform. At the top are
some walls you can triangle jump from, a cube, and a circuit panel.
The circuit panel takes you into a circuit tunnel. Outside is an
unusual realm. You'll fall down, but a mysterious force is keeping you
floating. In front of you is a vent and 2 paths of rings. Take one
of the ring paths and they'll lead to a platform with an Egg Pawn and
another colored panel puzzle. Finish the puzzle and then the panels
will begin to act like moving platforms. The panels will then take you
to a platform where the goal ring is. Touch it to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Do not waste time with the yellow or green towers. Head
directly to the red tower after leaving the blue tower.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> Lost Impact
Helper: Espio
Level: Normal
You'll run into Espio rather quickly at the start. Continue on until
you've exited the blue tower (by use of the blue terminal vent). Next,
use the circuit panels ahead to go to one of the 3 towers. Each of
these towers contains a terminal to activate. I'll start with the
yellow tower first.
When you've reached the yellow tower, you should see the second save
point. Touch it and then head to the tower. There's a tunnel below
that's sealed off for some reason. Past it are some cubes leading to
the tower entrance. Get rid of the color-coded barrier ahead by
solving the colored panel puzzle. Inside is a warp hole. Touching it
will take you inside the yellow tower.
You'll land onto a platform and then some green pads will appear
between you and a path that has 2 red lasers ahead. Avoid them and
then you'll be attacked by a Black Arms Worm. Take it out and move on.
Ahead are 2 Egg Pawns. Ignore them and keep going to the dash circle
ahead. It'll lead to some red pads and another colored panel puzzle.
Set them all to the same color and they'll start to move upward. At
the top are 2 more red lasers and the third save point. Ignore the Egg
Pawns ahead and head to the cubes and another colored panel puzzle.
Completing it will rise them to the top of the tower they surround. At
the top of the tower is another colored panel puzzle. Clear that and
a ring path that you can light dash from will appear. The ring path
leads to the circuit panel that'll take you into a circuit tunnel.
You'll land on a platform near the yellow terminal. Touch it to
activate it. Another vent will activate, taking you out of the
yellow tower from the tunnel you saw before entering the tower. Well,
that's 2/4 terminals now. I'll now go to the green tower.
When you've reached the green tower, you should see the fourth save
point ahead. Touch it and then head to the green tower. The tunnel
below will also be sealed off, so ignore it and just head to the cubes
leading to the green terminal's entrance. The second cube has a red
pad that you can use to get there. Another color-coded barrier is
ahead. Fortunately, some colored panels are around. Set them all to
the same color and then head into the tower. A warp hole is ahead.
Use it to enter the green tower.
Inside the green tower is a platform, a color-coded barrier, and 2
colored panels. Set the panels to the same color to remove the
barrier. Past the barrier are some Egg Pawns fighting off some Black
Hawks. Past them is a gap and even more colored panels. Set them to
the same color and then you'll see the platform ascend. You'll then
head to some platforms that have a fifth save point, and more Egg
Pawns. Avoid them and keep on going. Ahead are some more colored
panels. Setting them to the same color will make them all move to a
path in which you'll see some more colored panels. A color-coded
barrier is behind those panels. If you don't set the panels ahead to
the same color, you'll get pushed off by the barrier and fall to your
doom. Past the barrier is another set of colored panels. Before
setting them all to the same color, take out the crates near them and
grab the guns in them. Once you do that, set all the panels to the
same color and then get ready to solve some more colored panel puzzles.
If you don't solve even one of them, you'll fall to your depths by the
barriers. At the end of the passage is a platform with another colored
panel puzzle. Clear it and the panels will ascend. Some green pads
will appear at the top. Use them to move forward. Ahead is an Egg
Pawn and 3 more colored panels. Set them to the same color and then
a large vent will activate. The vent leads to the green terminal.
Activate it and another vent will activate, taking you to a tunnel out
of the tower. Last up is the red tower.
At the red tower is the last save point. Past the save point are some
more colored panels. Remember to set them to the same color. After
doing that, a ring path will appear. Use the light dash on them and
you'll reach the red tower entrance. The entrance is blocked by
another color-coded barrier. Again, set the colored panels on the
ground to the same color to get rid of it. Inside will be some Egg
Pawns and an orange Virtual Cell. Past them is a path leading to
another colored panel puzzle. Set the panels to the same color and
then they'll all ascend like a platform. At the top are some walls you
can triangle jump from, a cube, and a circuit panel. The circuit panel
takes you into a circuit tunnel. Outside is an unusual realm. You'll
fall down, but a mysterious force is keeping you floating. In front of
you is a vent and 2 paths of rings. Take the vent ahead to a bunch of
cubes. Take each of them to the tower with the red terminal. Touch it
and then take the warp hole ahead to get out. Past it is another set
of colored panels. Set them to the same color and a ring path leading
out of the tower will appear.
If you've activated all 4 terminals, you've cleared the mission. You
don't have to follow the towers in order, so you can choose which tower
to head to next.
A-rank tips: The score needed for an A-rank isn't very big, but make
sure that you avoid taking out too many Egg Pawns. Also, the bombs on
the circuits will raise your dark score, so make sure to stay away from
them too.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> Iron Jungle
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Hard
After activating the blue terminal, you'll leave the blue tower and
then run into Doom's Eye. The objective for this mission is to
detonate every single bomb that's around each circuit path. I'm
afraid that I can't give you a good walkthrough for this, so you're
going to have to look everywhere for all 30 bombs. Of course, there
are no bombs in the towers, so don't bother going in them.
A-rank tips: Take out each of the Egg Pawns and Virtual Cells you see.
Also, you'll see that you'll earn some dark points for destroying each
of the bombs you pass through.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is between the 4 towers. Inside the door is a vent and
a circuit panel leading directly to the red tower. It can be useful
for an easy A-rank for the normal mission.
************************************************************************
Boss Battle
Boss: Egg Breaker
Side: Dark
Helper: Espio
Level: Normal
Remember the Egg Breaker from Cryptic Castle? Well, it's back and a
bit tougher too. You can still attack it directly, but you'll do more
damage with a gun. Of course, the Egg Pawns here hold bazookas. Take
them out and use the bazookas at the Egg Breaker while dodging attacks.
Keep on using the bazookas at the machine and it should go down.
The Egg Breaker does have a couple attacks to be aware of. One of them
is the attack in which the Egg Breaker will attack with its spiked
mallet. When you're out of range, it'll shoot a spiked ball at you.
And finally, if you're too close to the Egg Breaker, it'll release some
spheres that'll run over you if you don't watch it.
A-rank tips: Take out the Egg Pawns and take their bazookas. Next,
fire them at the Egg Breaker while dodging its attacks. If you can
just remember to recharge every now and then and to attack hard, you
should have the Egg Breaker down in less than a minute at the least.

You'll start off by going past some dash panels and a long loop. At

You'll run into them and then fire you to another mutated branch.
Eventually, you'll then land on some ground. Ahead are some Black Arms

Past the save point are some springs that'll ascend you. Above is a
GUN soldier and 2 Black Arms soldiers. Take out the GUN soldier, but
ignore the Black Arms soldiers. Next up is some alien slime. Use your
spin dash on it to take a path leading to Doom's Eye. There's also a
spring that'll launch you to the ring pole above. At the top are 2 GUN
soldiers and 2 Black Arms soldiers. There's also a spring ahead
that'll take you to a mutated branch that sends you to the second save
point.
Beyond that save point are 2 Black Arms soldiers and a giant flower.
Avoid them all and move on to the springs that are behind the giant
flower. Above those springs are some more GUN soldiers and a lone
Black Arms soldier too. There's some more slime past the Black Arms
soldier. Use it to get to the third save point.
Now, use the dash panel ahead and it'll take you to some mutated
branches leading to some grindable slime. As you grind down, watch out
for the Beetles ahead. Also, one of the Beetles you'll pass is a Gold
Beetle. You'll eventually head to a room with some Black Arms soldiers
inside. There's also some walls you can triangle jump from to the door
ahead, but those walls will crumble once you've jumped. Past the door
is a dash panel and some more mutated branches. That'll take you to
the fifth save point (the fourth save point is near a secret door that
I'll explain about later).
Next up is the ancient canal. Head to the springs ahead and you'll see
some loose ground and a couple GUN soldiers fending off the Black Arms
Larvae. Use the loose ground to trample those GUN soldiers. Past
those enemies is another spring. Use it to get to the door above.
Now, go upward and be careful not to run into those Black Arms soldiers
ahead. Also, the green balls with thorns can hurt you, so avoid
them too. Past the Black Arms soldiers is a platform that'll rise when
you step on it. Use it to get over a cage leading to a GUN soldier and
a spring. Use the spring to keep on going. A lone Black Arms soldier
is there, and past it is some alien slime and a spring. I'll talk
about the spring path later, so we'll take the alien slime. When you
get out of the slime, you'll see some more walls to triangle jump from,
but they too will crumble if you jump. At the other side are some dash
panels that'll take you upwards. They'll lead to another ascending
platform and the sixth save point.
Ahead is some loose ground, some GUN soldiers, and a Black Arms Worm.
Use the loose ground to take out the GUN soldiers. Next up are 2 paths
to take. One is the alien slime and the other is over a wall. I'll
explain the slime route for this mission. Past the slime are more
walls to triangle jump at. They will too crumble as well. At the
other side is a wall that'll break from an explosion. Break the crate
near it and take the GUN bazooka inside it. Use it on the wall to
destroy it. Next, use the spring to get to the bar. Descend down to
another wall that requires a GUN bazooka to take out. Break the crate
near the wall to release the weapon. Past the wall are some Black Arms
soldiers defending a cage. The cage may contain a spring, but you can
jump high enough to reach the platform ahead. Grab the ring pole above
and move on. Another wall is in your path. Take it out with a gun and
then use the path filled with some loops to get through. At the end
is a dash panel and some mutated branches taking you to the last save
point and the goal ring. There's also a ring path to use light dash
on. Touch the goal ring and you've made it out of the forest.
A-rank tips: While your objective is to reach the goal ring. You
should also take out the GUN soldiers as you move forward. Of course,
you will have to move quickly to ensure that you'll get the A-rank.

Hero Mission
Next Stage: Black Bull (boss) -> Lost Impact
Helper: Rouge
Level: Normal
You'll run into Rouge just after getting past some mutated branches.
The first 2 Black Arms soldiers are near the first save point. Next,
use the springs ahead and then take out a few more Black Arms soldiers.
Now, use the alien slime ahead and then use the spring and ring pole
past it to keep going. There are 2 GUN soldiers and 2 Black Arms
soldiers near a spring. Take out only the 2 Black Arms soldiers. Use
the spring to head to a mutated branch that'll take you to the second
save point. That should be 6/50 Black Arms soldiers taken out now.
Next up are 2 more Black Arms soldiers. Get rid of them too. Avoid
the giant flower and use the spring behind it. A Black Arms soldier is
also there. There's a Black Arms soldier near some alien slime above.
Eliminate it and then use the slime to move on. Touch the third save
point at the end of the path. That's 10/50 Black Arms soldiers down.
Ahead is a dash panel and some mutated branches. Use them to reach the
grindable slime ahead. Avoid the Beetles ahead. Past the Gold Beetle
will be an area with some more Black Arms soldiers. Head there and
take them out. Then, use the spring to get back on the slime and move
on. The room ahead has some more Black Arms soldiers and some loose
ground. Eliminate the Black Arms soldiers and then use the spring to
reach the door above to keep moving. Use the dash panel and the
mutated branches to get to the fifth save point. That should make
19/50 Black Arms soldiers taken out.
At the ancient canal, use the spring ahead to reach an area with some
GUN soldiers and some Black Arms Larvae. There's also some loose
ground you can use to take out the Black Arms Larvae. Use the spring
past them to reach a door leading to an upward path. More Black Arms
soldiers will be there. Take them out too and then use the ascending
platform to get to an area with a GUN soldier and a spring. A Black
Arms soldier is above. Also, some alien slime and a spring is ahead.
Ignore the slime and take the spring. The area ahead has red fruits
and green balls with thorns. Keep on moving and you'll eventually run
into more Black Arms soldiers. Past them is a spring leading to a
path with some dash panels. Past the dash panels is another ascending
platform. Use it to reach the sixth save point. That's 36/50 Black
Arms soldiers defeated.
Next up is some loose ground, 2 GUN soldiers, and a Black Arms Worm.
Use the loose ground on the Black Arms Worm and then move forward.
Some alien slime and a crate is near. Ignore the slime and use the
crate to reach the other side. Ahead are some more red fruits and some
more Black Arms soldiers (40/50 Black Arms soldiers taken out now). At
the end are some springs leading to a wall that requires an explosion
to break through. Use the GUN bazooka in the crate near the wall to
destroy it. Inside is a spring leading to a bar. Some Black Arms
Larvae are there too. Take them out and then descend to another wall
that needs an explosion to break. Again, there's a crate with a GUN
bazooka near that wall. Use it to destroy it. Next up are a few more
Black Arms soldiers. There's also a cage ahead. Take them all out to
open it. Also, if you've taken out all 50 Black Arms soldiers, you're
done. If you're missing one though. Use the spring and then head to
the last save point. Use the save point to teleport back and then go
find the remaining Black Arms soldiers.
A-rank tips: Move fast as you eliminate the Black Arms soldiers. Also,
make sure that you don't miss even one Black Arms Larvae.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is near a set of Beetles. Drop from the grindable
slime and you should land on a platform with a dash panel. The dash
panel takes you to the fourth save point and the secret door. Inside
the door is a dash panel and a bunch of slime that's grindable. While
grinding on them, be careful that you don't fall or else you'll fall to
your doom. When you reach the spring at the end, it'll take you to
some dash circles and a warp hole that'll take you back to the fourth
save point.
************************************************************************
Boss Battle
Boss: Black Bull
Side: Dark
Helper: Rouge
Level: Easy
Black Bull's back, but this time, you'll have to get it by grinding on
some vines above. Use the spring in front of you to get up. There,
you should go and use a homing attack on the face. Do it a few times
and then go down to the ground. There's also a Black Arms soldier near
that has a gun. You can also use the gun to attack Black Bull. You
need to keep on attacking Black Bull until it goes down.
Black Bull still has the same fireball and shock wave attacks, but
it'll also try to strike directly. It's still an easy boss to beat.
A-rank tips: You can only do up to 3 homing attacks consecutively on
Black Bull, which isn't much damage. Instead, take a gun from a Black
Arms soldier and use it on Black Bull. Keep on shooting Black Bull and
go to the ground when necessary. If you move fast enough, you should
take Black Bull down in less than half a minute.

Normal Mission
Next Stage: Blue Falcon (boss) -> Black Comet

Level: Normal
You'll start off the stage in a tunnel. Ahead is the first save point
and a Black Volt. Get on it to continue. As you move on, you'll run
into some Beetles and some meteors. Avoid them as you move forward.
Past the Beetle raid are some barriers. Move past them and you'll then
see a grind rail. You can choose to get off there. By grinding the
rail, you'll take a tunnel and pass through a ring path. A gap is also
past the rail along with some rings, so be sure to jump and then use
the light dash. You'll then fall onto a platform that has the second
save point and another Black Volt. Get on it and then head on.
Next up are some more barriers. Go under them and get ready to get
past some meteors. After avoiding the meteors, use the dash circles
ahead to get past the Black Birds. You'll keep going down and then up.
Next up are more Beetles and a GUN mech known as the Big Foot. The
Big Foot has a rapid-firing gun that can be fatal to your Black Volt.
Past them is another platform you can land on. If you jump off, you'll
then have to deal with an Artificial Chaos. These enemies can fire
their long tentacles at you, but they'll split into smaller units when
attacked. Get past it and then use the spring ahead to get to a
downhill slope. Below's the third save point and a Black Volt for you
to use to keep going.
Past the third save point are more barriers and even more Beetles.
Evade them all and then you'll get to some more dash circles. They'll
get you past some Black Hawks ahead. Past those pests are more Beetles
and another Big Foot. Also, to make things even worse, the ARK's
turrets ahead will start to shoot at you. You'll eventually reach the
fourth save point which is behind the last turret you'll run into (for
now at least). Another Black Volt will be there for you after you've
touched the fourth save point.
More mayhem is ahead. There are more barriers and there are 3 Big
Foots waiting for you. Of course, 2 of the Big Foots are equipped with
homing missiles. Avoid them as you head to an energy tunnel. Inside
is a heal unit that'll fully restore your Black Volt's energy. Outside
are more barriers and a platform with the fifth save point. Again, if
you touch it, another Black Volt will show up for you.
Things get messy ahead. More Beetles and more ARK turrets will start
to attack you. Avoid them as you head to another platform. Past the
2 turrets is a platform with a tunnel over it. Get off on top of the
tunnel and then head downward. Evade the turrets ahead though.
Another platform is near, along with a Black Volt and the sixth save
point.
The next path requires you to be quick on your toes. A bunch of
turrets will start to fire at you. Avoid their fire at all costs. The
platform below can be used to get off. Use the springs on that
platform to keep going. You'll then follow a path leading to a grind
rail and a spring. Past the spring is a Big Foot, an Artificial Chaos,
a Black Hawk, and a Black Volt. Of course, another platform with the
seventh save point is below. Fortunately, a Black Volt is there when
you get there.
Get on the Black Volt and get ready to avoid more turret fire. Ahead
are some Black Hawks, some Beetles, and a Big Foot. Evade all of them
as you head on. Eventually, you'll run into some dash circles. Use
them to move on, but avoid the debris while doing this. You'll then
reach a tunnel with 4 ARK turrets and a defense system. Get past all
of them and then you'll reach a platform with the last save point and
the goal ring. You've made it into the ARK.
A-rank tips: The Black Volt will pass all of the save points except for
the last one (which is near the goal ring). To get an A-rank here,
don't waste time with the save points.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Blue Falcon (boss) -> GUN Fortress
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Hard
You'll run into Doom's Eye after passing the first save point. Get on
the Black Volt ahead and get ready to fly. The first defense system is
near the second save point. The Black Volt's tracking worms or a gun
will take it out. The second defense system is near the fifth save
point. Can also be taken out by tracking worms and guns. The third
defense system is above the seventh save point and is guarded by ARK
turrets and barriers. And finally, the last defense system is between
4 ARK turrets, near the last save point. Destroy all 4 defense systems
to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Take out the GUN robots as you head to each defense
system. Also, stick to firing tracking worms at the defense systems.

Past the sixth save point and some ARK turrets is a platform. On it is
the secret door. There are 3 1-ups inside.

Boss Battle
Boss: Blue Falcon
Side: Hero
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
The Blue Falcon is the same as the Heavy Dog you saw back at The Doom.
While the battlefield is different, Blue Falcon's attacks are similar
to Heavy Dog's. Start by grabbing the gun in the crate nearby and then
use the springs to ascend to the top. The Blue Falcon will rise to get
you. Fire your weapon at it to remove one of its weapons. Descend and
take that weapon. Then, go back up and start using it at Blue Falcon.
You must keep on doing this until Blue Falcon's finished.
Blue Falcon does have the Particle Beam Cannon, but you're safe from it
when at the lowest level. It'll also fire homing missiles at you.
Also, while at the lowest level, Blue Falcon will release bombs at you.
A-rank tips: Just use Blue Falcon's weapon against it. You should keep
taking out its weapons and recharge when possible. Remember, Blue
Falcon fights the same as Heavy Dog.

Normal Mission
Next Stage: Black Comet
Helper: None
Level: Normal
You'll start near a door guarded by 2 Black Arms soldiers. Avoid them
and head to the door. Inside are some Beetles and lasers. Jump over
the lasers to keep going. Past that, some Black Arms soldiers will get
in through the windows. Ignore them and take the path ahead that leads
downward. You'll then reach a room with a ring pole, loose ground, and
2 Beetles. Grab the ring pole to go up. You'll then head to a door
with some more Black Arms soldiers. Behind the door are some laser
turrets. Jump over the lasers and head to the door past them. There
are some walls ahead that you can triangle jump on, but there are
lasers there as well. Remember to move on once the laser has past. A
door is past there. If you fall though, just take the path with the
lone GUN robot to advance. Both doors lead to the first save point.
Next, enter the door ahead. There's a GUN vehicle there. You can use
it to get past a bunch of enemies as you head past doors. Keep moving
forward and you'll eventually reach a 2-way intersection. There's a
blue path (filled with Black Arms soldiers) and a red path (filled
with GUN soldiers). I'll explain the red path later, so let's take the
blue path. There are some Black Arms soldiers ahead along with a GUN
walker. This GUN walker can't jump high, but it's equipped with
weapons. Anyway, head to the downward path that leads to another door.
Inside is a path with some Giant Black Arms soldiers. Take them out
while you're moving on. At the other side is an upward path leading to
a door. You'll then be at a path that leads to the end of the
intersection. Ahead is a path with some crates. At the end is the
second save point and a grind rail.
Take the rail to move forward. You'll see the escape pod, some
Beetles, and a Gold Beetle. At the end of the rail is a Black Arms
soldier guarding a door that's locked. Eliminate it to open it. Keep
moving and then you'll get stopped by a fan that'll blow right at you.
There are poles above that you can use to avoid getting blown off once
it starts up. You can also spin dash after the fan turns off. Ahead
is a path leading to another door. Past it is a blue rail and some
lasers. That rail is electrified, meaning that you can't grind on it.
To the left is the third save point.
Next up are some moving platforms and a wall you can triangle jump on.
Use the wall to get between some lasers that are in front of a bar.
Use that bar to ascend. Get to the platform at the top and then enter
the room ahead. Drop down and you'll see another GUN vehicle. Get in
it and head to the doors ahead. You'll be in a circular room that has
some Black Arms soldiers and some Beetles. At the other side is a door
locked up by a Giant Black Arms soldier. Take it out to open it. Past
the door is the fourth save point.
Keep moving to the doors ahead and you'll eventually be in another
2-way intersection. I'll explain the red path later, so we'll take the
blue path then. Ahead is a Giant Black Arms soldier. Get past it and
then take the downward path to another door. Inside is another
pathway with more Giant Black Arms soldiers and even some GUN turrets.
You can use the turrets to exterminate them. At the end is a Giant
Black Arms soldier blocking a locked door. Defeat it to open it. An
upward path leading out of the intersection is near. Ahead is a path
with more laser turrets. Jump over them all and head on. The fifth
save point is at the end of the path.
Outside is another rail. Use it to grind to a platform with a turret
on it. Another rail will be there too. Use that one to reach a room
with another fan. Again, use the poles as soon as the fan activates.
Below is the sixth save point and a path leading to another door.
Inside is another turret and some more Giant Black Arms soldiers. Take
them all out to unlock a door ahead. Inside is another electrified
rail and some lasers. To the right is a damaged door. The crates to
the right can be broken though. Break them to reveal a small opening.
Go under with spin dash. You'll be outside again. Now, use the moving
platforms to get to the platform with a moving weight. Use the weight
to get up to a path of rings. Use light dash to get to another
platform. There are more moving platforms and some Beetles above you.
Use them to get to the path at the other side. Another door is near.
Go in and then take the gap down to the seventh save point and another
door.
The door you'll be heading to is past some moving lasers. Avoid them
all and get through. Past the door is another GUN walker. Get in and
then take the left or right path. At the other side is a Giant Black
Arms soldier and a locked door. Defeat it to open the door. Ahead is
an elevator that'll descend you. You'll see the escape pod again, but
also some Beetles ready to attack you. Avoid all of the Beetles as the
elevator descends. Once the elevator stops, take the path ahead to
another damaged door with a small opening. Spin dash under it and then
take the path that has some dash panels ahead. Past the dash panels is
a door with the last save point and the goal ring. Touch the goal ring
to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Take out the Black Arms soldiers to raise your hero gauge.
Use Chaos Control as frequently as possible.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Lava Shelter
Helper: Tails
Level: Normal
The first 2 Black Arms soldiers are near the first door. Move ahead
and avoid the Beetles and lasers. Past them will be 2 Black Arms
soldiers that'll break through the windows. Go forward and then use
the ring pole between the 2 Beetles to go up. You'll then see 2 Black
Arms soldiers near another door. Past them are some laser turrets.
Jump over them and take the door leading to some walls to triangle jump
on. Avoid the lasers on those walls as you move on though. The door
ahead leads to a path that has the first save point below. That's 6/35
Black Arms soldiers taken out now.
Past the door is a pathway. Ignore the GUN vehicle at the center and
just move forward. Remember to take out every Black Arms soldier in
your path. When you reach the 2-way intersection, take the blue path.
There, you'll see some more Black Arms soldiers and a GUN walker. This
GUN walker can't jump high, but it's equipped with some weapons. Now,
take the downward path to a door leading to another pathway. You'll
then encounter some Giant Black Arms soldiers. Take each of them out
as you head to the other side. At the end is an upward path. Head to
the door ahead and then take out some more Giant Black Arms soldiers.
You'll then reach the end of the intersection. Head to the path ahead
and you'll then see the second save point. That should be 19/35 Black
Arms soldiers eliminated.
Now, take the rail ahead to a room with a Black Arms soldier and a
locked door. Take out that enemy to open it. Ahead will be a fan
that'll be annoying to you. Spin dash when the fan's off to get past.
Below is another door. Past the door are some lasers and an
electrified rail. Ignore it and take a left to the third save point.
Next are some moving platforms and some lasers. Ahead is a bar you
can get to with a triangle jump. Go up while on the bar and then take
the path above. The path leads to a GUN vehicle and a door. Ignore
the GUN vehicle and take the door to another path. The room you'll be
in is a circular room. There are a couple Black Arms soldiers to
eliminate, especially the one that's locked the door at the other
side. Past that door is the fourth save point. That's 23/35 Black
Arms soldiers down.
The door ahead leads to another 2-way intersection. Again, take the
blue path. There's a Giant Black Arms soldier near the downward path.
Take it out and go forward. Inside's a pathway with some GUN turrets
and Giant Black Arms soldiers. Take the enemies out and then head to
the door at the other side. There, is another Giant Black Arms
soldier. Defeat it to open the door and head upward. Past the door at
the top is another Giant Black Arms soldier and a path leaving the
intersection. Next, avoid the laser turrets ahead and head to the
fifth save point. You should've taken out 29/35 Black Arms soldiers by
now.
Ahead is a rail you can grind on. That'll lead to the platform with a
turret. Past it is another rail that leads to a path with a fan. Spin
dash to get past the fan and land on the sixth save point. Next, take
the path ahead to a door that has a turret and some Giant Black Arms
soldiers inside. Take out all of those enemies to unlock the door at
the other side. Ignore the electric rail and lasers ahead and just
take a right to a damaged door. Take out the crates to the right to
find a small opening. Spin dash under it to go on. You'll then be
outside. The platforms leading to the weight ahead will move, so move
quickly to the weight. The weight will then ascend you to a ring path
that you can use light dash on. There's also some more moving
platforms to take above. Ignore the Beetles though. The path at the
end leads to a door in which has the seventh save point below. That's
32/35 Black Arms soldiers defeated now.
There are some lasers ahead. Avoid them as you head to the door. Get
on the GUN walker past the door and take out the remaining Giant Black
Arms soldiers inside. You should've taken out all 35 of the Black Arms
soldiers by now. However, if you miss any, use the seventh save point
to go back. Of course, you'll have to restart the mission if you've
missed any Black Arms soldiers before reaching the first save point.
A-rank tips: Just take out each of the Black Arms soldiers as quickly
as possible.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: GUN Fortress
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Hard
This mission is very annoying and will require patience to complete.
You'll be able to attack the escape pod once you've reached the 2-way
intersection. Now, what you must do is set the switch ahead so that
the escape pod heads to the red path. That'll slow it down enough for
you to do some damage on it. Also, you'll be able to take out the GUN
soldiers along the way. Once you leave the intersection, you'll run
into the escape pod again after passing the second save point.
While grinding on the rail ahead, once you've reached the Beetles, take
them out and use the moving platforms to get to the escape pod.
Remember to shoot it as much as possible. Continue on until you've
reached the fourth save point.
The door ahead leads to another 2-way intersection. Set the switch to
the red path to slow down the escape pod. Again, while damaging the
escape pod, take out the GUN soldiers as well. Of course, there will
be more obstacles to avoid at that point. You'll see the escape pod
again once you've passed the fifth save point.
Grind on the rail ahead to the turret. Use the turret to shoot the
escape pod as it comes your way. If it leaves, head to the sixth
save point and then enter the room ahead. The escape pod will be there
along with some Giant Black Arms soldiers. And finally, you'll run
into the escape pod one last time while taking the elevator. The
mission is completed after the escape pod is destroyed, but if it
manages to escape, you've failed the dark mission.
A-rank tips: Keep firing at the escape pod. Also, make sure to take
out the GUN soldiers as well. Be aware that you'll need to destroy
the escape pod without taking out too many Black Arms soldiers.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is easy to see. It's at the room where you'll see the
ring pole. Inside is an air saucer, some lasers, and an electric rail.
The air saucer can be used to grind on that rail. At the end is a
room with some guns. You can also use the air saucer to reach other
electrified rails in this stage. The rails are also handy as
shortcuts. Useful for the normal mission.

You'll start the stage by heading to some dash panels. That'll take
you to a platform with some Egg Pawns. Past them are some more dash
panels and a spring. Use it to reach another platform with another Egg
Pawn. At the other side is the first save point. Past that are some
Beetles and more Egg Pawns. Also, there's a GUN walker nearby. That
one has high jumping abilities. Next up are 2 routes. One that uses
the GUN walker and one that has Beetles lined up. I'll take the Beetle
route and explain the GUN walker route later. Perform some homing
attacks on the Beetles to reach the other side. Ahead is a rail that's
grindable. At the other side is the second save point.
Next up are some Beetles and more Egg Pawns. The Egg Pawns are
guarding a door ahead. Take them out to open it. Past the door is a
room filled with some Egg Pawns and an elevator. The elevator won't
rise unless the Egg Pawns are taken out. After those Egg Pawns are
eliminated, 3 Shadow Androids will appear. They'll block your homing
attack, but firearms can easily defeat them. Just watch out for their
homing missiles. Once they're gone, the elevator will rise so that you
can grab the ring pole to the door ahead. Past the door is a rocket.
Grab it to continue. You'll then descend with a parachute. Get off
and you'll then see some Egg Pawns and a Big Foot. The Big Foot is
guarding a cage ahead, so take it out to open it. The spring inside
will take you to a path with more Egg Pawns. Also, a stray Gold Beetle
will show up. It can be handy for the dark mission. Anyway, the third
save point is near.
Past the third save point are some Egg Pawns and a Beetle. Get over
them and move on. You'll then see another GUN walker. I'll explain
its path later, so we'll continue with the bottom route. The Beetles
ahead lead to a platform at the other side. Take them out to get
there. Also, a ring path will be near. Use light dash on it. You'll
then be taken to another platform with a Beetle and an Egg Pawn. Past
them is a moving platform. Use it to ascend to another platform.
Another platform will then descend. Use it to go up. And then, take
the platforms ahead to another ring path. Again, use light dash on it.
You'll then reach the fourth save point.
Your next obstacle will be more Beetles and Egg Pawns. There's even a
GUN turret you can use. Take out the Egg Pawns to open the door ahead.
Inside is another room with an elevator, but this time, only 3 Shadow
Androids will appear to attack. Defeat them all to activate the
elevator. Grab the ring pole above to get to the fifth save point.
Enter the door ahead and you'll see 2 more paths. The path where those
Beetles are will be for later, but for now you should take the rail.
At the end of the rail is the sixth save point. Now, go into the door
ahead and you'll again get ambushed by 3 Shadow Androids. Eliminate
them and then use the poles ahead to get out. A rocket is ahead. Use
it to move on. You'll then descend to the path towards Eggman's base.
Avoid the Big Foot and Egg Pawns ahead and then take the weight to the
last save point (there are 8 save points total) and to the goal ring.
You've made it to Eggman's base.
A-rank tips: Just move quickly. Also, use Chaos Control at will.

This mission requires you to take out Eggman's airship. Grab a bazooka
from an Egg Pawn and start firing at the airship. Also, the airship
will ascend to parts where a GUN walker is needed. Ascend along with
the airship and take it out as you go. The mission is completed once
the airship is destroyed, but you'll fail the mission if the airship
manages to get back to Eggman's base.
A-rank tips: Attack the Egg Pawns and Shadow Androids while following
the airship. Remember to shoot the airship several times to ensure
that it goes down.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: Egg Breaker (boss) -> Black Comet
Helper: Dr. Eggman
Level: Normal
Past the first save point are a couple Beetles, some Egg Pawns, and
some loose ground. Use it to take out the Beetles. Next, use your
homing attack on the 3 Beetles to the right. That'll take you to a
rail. The rail leads to the second save point. That's 5/28 GUN
soldiers down.
Ahead will be some more Beetles. Take them out and then eliminate the
Egg Pawns ahead to open the door. Next, take out the Egg Pawns and
Shadow Androids to raise the elevator. Grab the ring pole above and
then use the door ahead to get to the rocket. Grab hold of it and move
on. Then, drop from the parachute that you're holding. Some Egg Pawns
and a Big Foot are ahead. Take out the Big Foot and then use the
spring inside the cage to continue. Move forward and you'll see the
third save point. That's 9/28 GUN soldiers down (10/28 after taking
out the Gold Beetle).
There's a Beetle to the left of the Egg Pawns ahead. Take it out and
head forward. There are some more Beetles ahead. Use your homing
attack on them and then use light dash on the ring path ahead. One
more Beetle is ahead along with an Egg Pawn. Next, head to the moving
platform and have it go up. Then, head to another platform. You'll
eventually reach a platform with a path of rings ahead. Use the light
dash on them and you'll reach the fourth save point. You've now taken
out 14/28 GUN soldiers (15/28 if the Gold Beetle was destroyed).
Past the fourth save point are some more Beetles and Egg Pawns. Take
out the Beetles and then take out the Egg Pawns so the door will open.
Past the door, instead of going down to face the Shadow Androids, use
your spin dash to get to the other side. You'll pass the fifth save
point. Now, use your homing attack on the Beetles ahead and head
to the platform at the other side. Next, head to the spring and then
use light dash on the ring path ahead. At the other side are more
Beetles, a Big Foot, and some loose ground. Use the loose ground on
the Beetles and a weapon on the Big Foot. Past it are 2 more Beetles
and one of them has an electric shield. Use your homing attack after
the shield's disabled. You'll eventually see a ring path to use light
dash on. You'll then head to the seventh save point. That should be
23/28 GUN soldiers down (24/28 after taking out the Gold Beetle).
Now, take the bar ahead and descend. Some Beetles are below. Take
each of them out. At the bottom is another Big Foot and a cage.
Destroy it to open the cage holding a spring (you'd be done if you
took out the Gold Beetle). The spring leads to some dash panels
taking you to Eggman's base. A Big Foot is there. Destroy it and
you've taken out all 28 GUN soldiers. If you're missing any though,
use the last save point to go back.
A-rank tips: Look for the GUN soldiers as quickly as possible. Also,
while you will be forced to take out some of Eggman's robots, just
make sure to stay away from most of them.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is past the second save point in a room in which the
Egg Pawns are guarding an elevator. Inside are some guns that can fire
powerful explosives.

Boss Battle
Boss: Egg Breaker
Side: Dark
Helper: Omega
Level: Normal
Once again, Eggman's Egg Breaker is back for more. This time though,
the Egg Breaker is on a platform that's too high for you to reach.
While trying to find a way to attack it, watch out for each of Eggman's
robots. Once you've found a way to attack the Egg Breaker, use that
method to damage it. Once the Egg Breaker's health is cut in half,
it'll jump off the platform and start fighting like normal. Drain its
remaining health and you've defeated the Egg Breaker once again.
The Egg Breaker has 2 attacks. While it'll basically use the laser
attack, it'll also strike with its spiked mallet.
A-rank tips: There's a GUN turret behind you. Use it to strike the
Egg Breaker until its health is cut in half. Then, have it attack the
turret so that a gun will appear. Use the gun to take out the Egg
Breaker's remaining health. This is the only good method for getting
the A-rank.

Next Stage: Final Haunt
Helper: None
Level: Normal
You'll start things out by falling. You'll eventually run into a green
device. After touching it, you'll then find out the gravity has
changed. You'll then land on a platform with a dash panel and get sent
to another gravity switch. You'll then fall upwards and pass some more
dash panels and a dash circle leading to another gravity switch that'll
set the gravity back to normal. You'll then land on the first save
point.
Now, head to the springs ahead. The platform they'll take you to has
some Black Hawks and GUN robots. Get to the dash panel ahead to head
to another platform. To the left on another platform are some Black
Arms soldiers fighting a GUN robot. Take them out and then head to the
dash panel taking you to a downward path. Below's a gravity switch
that sets the gravity to the right. You'll then land on another
downward platform with some Black Hawks above them. The dash panel at
the end will lead to another gravity switch. You'll then fall to
another platform. Ahead will be some more dash panels and once again,
another gravity switch. You'll then fall to another gravity switch and
head to another downward path. You'll land on a defensive barrier.
Move forward and watch out for the GUN robot ahead. Past it will be
the second save point.
Past the second save point is a dash panel leading to more gravity
switches. These switches will end up taking you to the third save
point. The springs past it will lead to another platform. A
dash panel is there and it'll take you to some more downward paths.
The first one has a dash panel at the end while the second has a
gravity switch. The gravity switch sends you to a platform with an ARK
transit device. Grab it and then you'll be sent to the ARK.
Inside will be a passage leading to a door with an air saucer. Get on
it and then take the door past it. Ahead is some green energy fluid.
It can hurt you (which explains the air saucer). There's also some
Black Arms soldiers and a GUN robot there as well. Past them all is a
door. Go through and you'll see some more Black Arms soldiers and a
GUN robot. Another air saucer is there too. Past the door ahead will
be some Black Birds and more green energy fluid. There's also some
platforms leading to another door. Of course, if you fall, you'll have
to take out some GUN robots and then a platform will descend for you.
Take it to reach the door. Past the door is another hall. At the end
will be a platform with 3 Black Arms soldiers ahead. The platform
behind them won't ascend without taking them out. The platform leads
to another platform and a door. Ahead will be another door and a room
with some Black Birds. Use them to reach the door at the other side,
but beware of the lasers that'll come from some ports below. Past them
are more Black Arms soldiers. Get past them and then take a path
leading to the fourth save point and another ARK transit device.
The ARK transit device will take you outside to a gravity switch
leading to more platforms with dash panels. The gravity switch ahead
will lead to a grind rail. Grind on it as you go through some dash
circles. Another gravity switch is at the end. You'll then drop to
another platform and ahead is another gravity switch. That switch
leads to another rail. Grind on it to head down. Some dash circles
there will help you get down faster. At the end is a long platform
with the fifth save point and the goal ring. Touch it to clear the
mission. The hero mission is cleared if you've reached the goal ring
within 5 minutes. Otherwise the normal mission will be cleared.
A-rank tips: Take out the Black Arms soldiers to raise your hero
gauge. Use Chaos Control frequently so that you can reach the goal
ring very quickly.

The normal mission will take the exact same path as the hero mission.
However, to clear the normal mission, you'll need to fail the hero

A-rank tips: Touch the goal ring after you've failed the hero mission.
Nothing else to add.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: Lava Shelter
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
The first defense system is past the first save point and some Black
Hawks and GUN robots. Use a gun to destroy it. The second defense
system is near the second save point. Destroy it and then go down the
destroyed barrier. You'll land on a platform and above are some GUN
robots on inverted platforms. Past them is a gravity switch. Touch
it and then take the slime path ahead to some dash panels and springs.
Ignore the ARK turrets and take the downward path. Below is a platform
with a dash panel taking you to another gravity switch. After touching
it, take the ARK transit device ahead to enter the ARK. Just watch out
for meteors while getting there.
Inside the ARK is the sixth save point and a Black Arms soldier on an
air saucer. Get it off and take the air saucer to the door ahead.
Past the door are some GUN robots and some green energy fluid. You'll
take damage from the fluid. The door past the fluid leads to another
hall. The door at the end has more energy fluid, a platform, some GUN
robots, and the third defense system. Destroy it and then drop down.
There's a platform and a switch there. Activate the switch and then
take the platform to a door at the top. That door leads to another
door.
The room past the door has a gravity switch and a spring leading to a
platform and another door. If you've touched the gravity switch,
you'll then need to take some platforms to that door. The door leads
to a hall and at the end is a room with some laser ports that'll fire
lasers. If you've touched the gravity switch, get to the gravity
switch at the other side of the room and touch it. You should then see
the fourth defense system. Destroy it and then head to the next door.
The door ahead has a gravity switch, but it's set for the current
gravity setting. Ignore it and go left. You'll see another GUN robot
and another door. Past the door are more GUN robots and platforms, but
there's no ground below you as well. Jump to each platform and head to
the spring leading to a gravity switch. You'll then fall past some
doors and a hall leading to 2 more gravity switches. Fall through
another path and one more gravity switch is near. You'll then land on
a platform. Ascend on it to some more platforms. Then, take a long
jump to a platform leading to the door out of this room. The seventh
save point is there along with a ring path.
Use light dash on the ring path to get to another door. Past the door
are some platforms and a gravity switch. Touch it and then deal with
another GUN robot. The spring ahead leads to another gravity switch.
Touch it and you'll land near the fifth defense system. Destroy it and
then drop down. There are springs that'll lead to another hall you'll
fall through. You'll then hit a series of gravity switches leading to
another hall and another gravity switch. At the end is another ring
path. Use light dash and head to the next room. Use the platforms
ahead to reach the next door, but stay clear from the lasers that come
out from the laser ports. Past the door at the other side is the last
save point. There's also a Black Arms Worm in the hall. Past the
door at the other side is the last defense system. Destroy it and
you've destroyed all 6 of the defense systems.
This room also has another door and a gravity switch. To the left of
the defense system is the gravity switch. Touch it and then use the
platform ahead to go up. Head to the next platform by taking a left
and by using the spring there. A door is ahead. Go through and you'll
be in a hall with a warp hole at the end. Touch it and you'll be sent
to the goal ring. This is another path to take to clear the normal
mission since it'll waste that 5 minute time limit for the hero
mission.
A-rank tips: Destroy as many GUN soldiers as possible. Also, move
quickly while taking out defense systems.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is near the fourth save point. Inside is a warp hole
leading to a platform outside. At the end is a dash panel that'll take
you to some dash circles leading to the goal ring. An easy way to

This stage starts in a room near a spring. Use it to get past the gap.
You'll then run into an Artificial Chaos. Get past it and then head to
the door at the end. You'll then be in a room where you'll have to
spin dash under a small passage. Past there is a door leading to an
elevator room. You'll see the first save point along with some GUN
soldiers and an Artificial Chaos.
The platform with a turret is the GUN lift. Get in the turret and then
the platform will move. As you're moving, use the B Button to fire,
the A Button to accelerate, and the Control Stick to move the turret.
There will be some Artificial Chaos in the GUN lift area. At the end
of the GUN lift path are 2 Artificial Chaos and some GUN soldiers.
The second save point and another GUN lift is here too. Take the GUN
lift to another GUN lift area. Remember that you can still take damage
while in the turret. Past the GUN lift area is another elevator room.
An Artificial Chaos will be there too. Take it out, touch the third
save point and then head to the door at the upper right corner.
The door leads to a 2-way path. Take the path with the rings lined up.
A door is there. Go past it and you'll see GUN soldiers and an
Artificial Chaos. Take a right past the Artificial Chaos and take the
door leading to another 2-way path. Again, follow the rings and take
the door there as well. You'll be in another 2-way path, but there
will be some GUN soldiers and an Artificial Chaos there too. Take the
right path and you'll then see a door leading to a GUN lift room.
Touch the fourth save point and get in the GUN lift. When you enter
the next GUN lift area, some Artificial Chaos will ambush you.
Eliminate them and keep moving. At the end of the path is a room with
the fifth save point and another GUN lift.
Get in the next GUN lift and you'll then be outside. Shoot down the
meteors in your path and then you'll reach a passage where a lone
Artificial Chaos will appear to ambush you. Past it is another GUN
lift room. Go up and head to the door at the upper right. The sixth
save point is there. Leave that room and then head left to another
door. Past that door is a room with a locked door. Activate the
switch to the left of it to open it. You'll then be in an elevator
room where some GUN soldiers are fighting a huge Artificial Chaos.
Past them is a switch that'll activate the elevator at the left. Go
down and head to another elevator. That elevator also needs to have
a switch activated. Activate the switch and go down. One more
elevator with a switch left and you'll be at the lowest level. You'll
see the seventh save point there. Also, the door near the GUN lift
leads to the goal ring. Touch it to clear the mission.
A-rank tips: Move quickly and don't waste time shooting at the
Artificial Chaos.

Hero Mission
Next Stage: Final Haunt
Helper: Maria
Level: Hard
The first Artificial Chaos is past a gap you've went past with a
spring. Past it is a door that leads to a path where you'll need to
spin dash under a small passage. You'll then be in the elevator room.
Ignore the GUN lift for now and touch the first save point. There's an
Artificial Chaos at the lowest level. Destroy it and then use the
elevator to go up. Activate the switch to make it move. Head to the
next elevator and go up. There's another Artificial Chaos there. Past
it is another switch activated elevator. Go up and then head to the
door at the top. There's a bomb there and at the end is another
Artificial Chaos (that's 4/35 Artificial Chaos destroyed). Now, go
back to the first save point and get on the GUN lift. While on the
GUN lift, take out every Artificial Chaos in the GUN lift area. At the
end of the path are 2 more Artificial Chaos and some GUN soldiers. The
second save point and another GUN lift is here too. You should've
destroyed 8/35 Artificial Chaos now.
The GUN lift area ahead has more Artificial Chaos. Take them all out
as you move on. There's another Artificial Chaos and the third save
point. Now, activate the elevator with a switch and go up. Take the
elevator at the left next. Once you've got up, head to the spring near
another switch activated elevator. Hit the spring to reach the bar and
go up. Another Artificial Chaos is there. Shoot it down and then head
to the elevator. At the top are 2 more Artificial Chaos and some GUN
soldiers (that should be 15/35 Artificial Chaos defeated now). The
door ahead only has a GUN soldier.
Head down to the lowest level and take the door to your left. A 2-way
path is here. Ignore the path with the rings for a moment and go
right. There's a door leading to a room with another Artificial Chaos.
Destroy it and then head back to the 2-way path. Take the path with
the rings and move on to the door. Another Artificial Chaos is past
the GUN soldiers. Destroy it and move on right. Another 2-way path is
past another door. Take the path with the rings to the next door. The
2-way path there has 2 GUN soldiers and an Artificial Chaos. Destroy
it and head to the right path. The door there leads to a GUN lift
room. Go left and take the door there. At the other side is another
small passage. Spin dash under it and head to the next door. The room
ahead has another Artificial Chaos and some GUN soldiers. Next, go
back to the GUN lift room and take out the 2 Artificial Chaos to the
right. Touch the fourth save point and then take the GUN lift. That's
21/35 Artificial Chaos destroyed now.
The GUN lift leads to another GUN lift area. Look everywhere for the
Artificial Chaos as you move forward. At the end is the fifth save
point and another GUN lift. Make sure that 25/35 Artificial Chaos are
destroyed before you move on though. Get on the GUN lift and get ready
to blast away some meteors as you head to the next GUN lift room. An
Artificial Chaos will appear near the room, so destroy it and keep
going. Next, head to the door at the upper right. The sixth save
point is there.
Now, head out and go left. A door leading to a room with a locked door
is ahead. Activate the switch for the door and move forward. You'll
then be in another elevator room. There are 2 GUN soldiers and a huge
Artificial Chaos there. Destroy the Artificial Chaos and drop down to
the lowest level and to the seventh save point (that should be 27/35
Artificial Chaos gone now). Next, take the GUN lift to another GUN
lift area. There will be more Artificial Chaos there. At the end will
be another huge Artificial Chaos and the last save point (33/35
Artificial Chaos destroyed now). Now, take the next GUN lift outside.
There will be a huge Artificial Chaos ahead. Destroy it and then get
off the GUN lift and get on another one. Move forward and you'll see
the last Artificial Chaos. Destroy it and you've destroyed all 35
Artificial Chaos.
A-rank tips: This mission is difficult to get an A-rank at. You'll
need to take out each Artificial Chaos as quickly as possible.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
In the third 2-way path (where the 2 GUN soldiers and an Artificial
Chaos is), go left and take the ring pole ahead. You'll land on a
platform with a secret door. Inside is an armored GUN vehicle. The
vehicle is useless here, because it has no purpose to this stage.

You'll start off in a room that the President's escape pod is in. An
armored GUN vehicle is in front of you. Get in it and head to the
tunnel at the other side. Make sure that you only run over the Black
Arms soldiers as you go. Past the first tunnel will be a series of
Black Arms soldiers and GUN soldiers fighting. Avoid hitting the GUN
soldiers as you get past walls. A Big Foot is near the entrance to
another tunnel. The tunnel ahead has a lone GUN soldier and a lone
Black Arms soldier. At the end of that tunnel will be some more Black
Arms soldiers and a lot more GUN soldiers. Again, avoid hitting the
GUN soldiers as you head to the next tunnel. Another Big Foot lies
near that tunnel entrance. As you head into the tunnel, some shutters
will come down at you. You can run into them with the GUN vehicle.
Past the second shutter will be some dash panels and the first save
point. Get off the GUN vehicle and then go over them.
The tunnel ahead leads to a door. Past it will be a passage that has 2
GUN soldiers and a Big Foot. Past them all will be a path with another
shutter in the way. You can still destroy it without the GUN vehicle.
Ahead will be a blue barrier. You won't take damage from it, but
you'll need to jump over it to reach the door at the other side.
You'll then be in a circular room. Take a right and you'll see a Black
Arms soldier that destroyed a GUN tank. Take it out and steal its
weapon. There's a path that'll take you up ahead. At the top will be
a cage with a pulley inside. Unfortunately, 2 Big Foots are guarding
it. Despite the fact that you'll hurt your hero score by doing this,
you're going to have to destroy the 2 Big Foots to move on. Use the
GUN turrets ahead to destroy them and then take the pulley. At the
other side, take a left and you'll see a door. You'll then run into
Rouge after entering the door. There's a ring pole and a blue barrier
ahead. Use the ring pole to get over it and get ready to take cover.
A security camera is watching out for you and if it spots you, it'll
fire bullets at you. Use the crates to take cover from the camera. At
the other side is a blue barrier and a ring pole. Get over the barrier
and you're safe from the camera. The second save point is past that
security camera.
Now, take the door ahead and get ready to avoid more GUN soldiers.
Past them is a mother computer and some Big Foots and GUN robots.
Ignore them and head to the room past the mother computer. A bar is
ahead. Grab it and descend while avoiding the red lasers. There's
a room below that leads to another pulley. Grab that pulley so that
it'll take you over the blue liquid (you'd lose a life if you fell into
the liquid). The pulley takes you into another tunnel. A GUN walker
will be there for you. Get on and you won't be affected by the vents
below you, nor would you get hit by any red lasers. A Big Foot is
waiting for you ahead. Get past it and then take the upward path. At
the top is another Big Foot. It'll start firing at you and chances are
that your GUN walker won't survive long enough to get past it. Past
that Big Foot is another Big Foot, more vents, and more red lasers.
Get past them all and take the door ahead. Take a right in this
circular room and take the path ahead up. At the top will be a Big
Foot and a bridge leading to the sides of the room. Another Big Foot
will appear on that bridge. Get past it and move left. Some GUN
robots will appear and a ring pole will be ahead. Grab the ring pole
and then take the next path to the third save point and another door.
Past the door is a rocket. Grab hold of it and then use the parachute
to go down. Avoid the red lasers and the gun fire from some GUN
soldiers as you're descending. Below is some platforms leading to
another door. The fourth save point is past that door. Next up is
another door and a ring pole. Rouge will tell you that the room past
that door is under maximum security. Take the ring pole up and you'll
see a path with a blue barrier and a GUN walker. Get in it and take
the door past it. Some more shutters are ahead, along with some Black
Arms soldiers. Take every Black Arms soldier out as you're breaking
through the shutters. Past the shutters is a door leading to a garage.
At the other side is a path closed up by another shutter. Destroy it
and then take the downward path. You'll then see a series of downward
paths and shutters. Eventually, you'll see a path of rings as you go
downward. Past the shutter ahead will be some GUN robots and more
shutters. Take out only the shutters. As you move on through the
tunnel, you'll eventually run into a Big Foot and a ring pole. At the
top is a door. Past it will be some walls to triangle jump on.
However, these walls are closing, so you're going to have to move fast
to reach the other side. Of course, the red lasers ahead will make
things tougher. You'll see a 1-up and some dash panels past the
closing wall. If you fell off the wall though, you'll then need to
jump onto some platforms and avoid the red lasers as you go. Both
paths lead to the fifth save point.
The door ahead leads to a room with a pulley in it. Grab it and head
on down. Watch out for red lasers and GUN soldiers however, because
you'll plummet to your doom if you get hit. Use the Control Stick to
move yourself while avoiding the lasers and gun fire. You'll
eventually reach a door leading to a room with some blue pipes. You
can grind on these blue pipes. Also, you'll need to jump from one pipe
to another as well since there are some red lasers past the pipes as
well. Eventually, you'll reach a door along with the sixth save point.
Ahead is another room that's under maximum security. Rouge recommends
that you take the upper route. Get on the crates at the right and then
grab the poles at the top to go up. You'll reach a room with a blue
barrier and an armored GUN vehicle. Get in the vehicle and head to the
door past it. You'll then run into a bunch of shutters and GUN robots.
Avoid the GUN robots as you head to the door at the other side. You'll
then be in another garage. Head to the path out of the garage and
start preparing yourself to run into more shutters. After getting past
that shutter-filled tunnel, you'll reach a garage room with a blue
barrier. Ditch the GUN vehicle and jump over it. You'll then take a
path leading to some dash panels. Past the dash panels is a door.
Past it is the last save point and the goal ring. Touch the goal ring
and get ready to face off against Black Doom.
A-rank tips: Try to take out as many Black Arms soldiers as possible.
This mission is difficult to get an A-rank on, so you're going to have
to move fast so that you'll get a good time bonus.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: Sonic & Diablon (boss)
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Hard
When you start the stage, ignore the armored GUN vehicle ahead and go
left. There are 2 Black Arms soldiers and 2 GUN soldiers ahead. Take
out the GUN soldiers and then head to the tunnel ahead. Past it will
be a large room filled with GUN soldiers and Black Arms soldiers. Take
out each and every GUN soldier as you move forward. Near the entrance
to another tunnel is a Big Foot. Destroy it and head into the tunnel.
The tunnel has a lone Black Arms soldier and a lone GUN soldier. Take
out the GUN soldier and head to the next room. More GUN soldiers and
Black Arms soldiers are in that room. Take out every GUN soldier in
the area. Eventually, you'll see another Big Foot and another tunnel
entrance. The tunnel ahead will have shutters that'll close on you.
Destroy them all and you'll eventually see a dash panel and the first
save point.
Keep on following the same path as the hero mission path until you've
reached the second save point. Past the second save point is a door
leading to the first mother computer. Take out every single GUN
soldier and then use the GUN turrets ahead to destroy the mother
computer that's above a large cube where the GUN robots came out of.
After taking out the first mother computer, head on forward until
you've reached the fourth save point.
Past the fourth save point is a ring pole and another door. Ignore the
ring pole and head to the door. Grab the ring pole past the door to
go over the blue barrier and get ready to hide from more security
cameras. You'll eventually reach another ring pole and a blue barrier.
You'll be safe after going over the barrier. Next, head to the door
that's ahead of you. You'll then see a platform with 2 red lasers
around it. Get past the lasers and then you'll be visited by 2 Big
Foots. Destroy them all and then head to the second mother computer.
First, take out all of the GUN robots exiting from the large cube, and
then use the GUN turrets to shoot the mother computer above that cube.
That's 2 mother computers down and only one more to go.
Keep on following the same path as the hero mission until you've
reached the sixth save point. The ring pole past the sixth save point
will allow you to go over the blue barrier ahead. More security
cameras are ahead. Also, there are GUN soldiers and GUN robots in your
way as well. At the end is another ring pole and a blue barrier. Get
over the barrier and you've escaped the last batch of security cameras.
The door ahead leads to the room with the last mother computer. Take
out all of the Big Foots and GUN robots first and then use the GUN
turrets to take out the last mother computer. Now, get ready to face
off against Sonic & Diablon.
A-rank tips: It's almost impossible to not get an A-rank here. Just
take out every GUN soldier and GUN mech in your path.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
This secret door is along the normal path. After passing the second
mother computer, you'll head to a tunnel with some shutters and GUN
robots. At the end is a Big Foot, a ring pole, and the secret door.
Inside is an armored GUN vehicle and a hidden passageway. Get in the
vehicle and head on forward. After taking the hidden passage, you'll
see a blue barrier and past it will be the room with some grindable
blue pipes. This shortcut is very useful for the hero mission.

Boss Battle (Hero Mission)
Boss: Black Doom
Side: Dark
Helper: Rouge
Level: Normal
Black Doom is mad at Shadow for disobeying his orders. Get ready to
fight the leader of the Black Arms army.
To defeat Black Doom, you're going to have to attack him once he's
ended his attack. His weak point is the head. Attack the head with a
homing attack to damage him. Of course, homing attacks will do little
damage on him, so you'll need to find a strong weapon so that you can
do more effective damage. As you damage Black Doom, he'll disappear
and will start to attack you again. He'll eventually attack you more
than once. You'll need to keep on dodging his attacks and then attack
back once his attacks have halted. Eventually, he'll go down.
Black Doom has 3 attacks. He'll either send meteors at you, send fire
disks at you, or release a low ground disk (which he calls Swift
Strike) that'll move around temporarily.
A-rank tips: As you're attacking Black Doom, your hero gauge will rise.
Once it's full, activate Chaos Control once Black Doom's in the middle
of his final attack. Start firing your weapon at him and hope that he
doesn't disappear. If everything works, you should get an easy A-rank
without much problem.

Boss Battle (Dark Mission)
Boss: Sonic & Diablon
Side: Hero
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
Sonic is angry at Shadow, and the GUN Commander is ready to get his
revenge on him with his GUN mech, Diablon. It's now time to face off
against these 2 in a fight to the finish.
While you're up against Sonic AND Diablon together, your main target
is Diablon itself. Perform a homing attack on Sonic to gain some
height and wait for Diablon to attack. When it's ready to fire a
laser at you, start performing homing attacks on the head. Once
Diablon's attack ends, its shield will be active again. You must
repeat the process of attacking Diablon once its shield is inactive
until it's grounded.
Once Diablon's on the ground, get close to it so that it'll perform its
swipe attack on you. Attack Diablon's head AFTER the swipe attack.
Watch out for Sonic's homing attack as well. Also, if Diablon has
fully charged its ultimate attack, get out of the way from it. You
must perform the process of attacking Diablon's head while dodging
Sonic's and Diablon's attacks until Diablon is finished.
Diablon has a few attacks to be aware of. They include the laser
attack, the swipe attack, and the Antimatter Cannon attack. The
Antimatter Cannon attack will occur once Diablon's energy is at full
power. A yellow light will flash if the energy is only half full,
but the energy will be at full power once a red light shows. Sonic's
one and only attack is the homing attack. Jump to block the attack.
A-rank tips: Grab a gun that's around the battlefield. After you've
grounded Diablon, start firing your gun until you only have one bullet
remaining. When this happens, go back to using homing attacks on
Diablon until your dark gauge is full. When the dark gauge is full,
start shooting like crazy at Diablon. You'll have unlimited ammo at
that time. This method is faster than using Chaos Blast on Diablon and
is essential to getting the A-rank.

Next Stage: Egg Dealer (boss)
Helper: Knuckles
Level: Hard
This stage starts at the first save point. An air saucer is past it.
Get on and head to the alien liquid below. Some Black Arms Worms will
appear to attack you. Avoid them and head to the routes with the ring
paths. At the other side is a passage leading to some dash panels.
Below is a swarm of Black Arms Larvae and some more dash panels.
You'll then land on the second save point.
Get on another air saucer and move to another bay of alien liquid. A
platform that'll move up and down is near along with a ring path and a
balloon. Use the light dash on the rings to hit the balloon and reach
the other side of the passage. Some GUN robots will appear to attack.
Head to the right and you'll see Knuckles. Next, head left and use the
dash panels to get to the other side. Use the platforms there to get
up to a path leading to a door. Watch out for the GUN robot though.
Past the door is a passage leading downward. However, to the left are
a new species to the Black Arms army. They're known as the Elite Black
Arms soldiers. Use the spring at the left to reach them. They have
the ability to teleport, but they're pretty simple to knock out. After
defeating them, take the path ahead that leads downward. An air saucer
is there and some more alien liquid. Up ahead are some Black Arms
Worms that are ready to trounce you with their tracking worms. Shoot
them down and then head to the path ahead. The next path is also
downward, but below will be an air saucer, some alien liquid, and more
Elite Black Arms soldiers. Take them out and then take the upward path
at the right. At the top is a lone Elite Black Arms soldier. Take it
out and some platforms will rise. At the other side is a warp hole.
Touch it and it'll bring you to the third save point.
Past the third save point is a GUN robot and an air saucer. Get on the
air saucer and head down to some more alien liquid. As you move
forward, you'll encounter some Elite Black Arms soldiers. Take them
out while avoiding their weapon fire. At the end of the path are some
dash panels. They'll take you to some more alien liquid. There are
some Elite Black Arms soldiers and some Black Arms Worms ahead. Also,
keep an eye out for alien bombs, because they can hurt you too. You'll
eventually see some more dash panels. They lead to the fourth save
point.
The next room has an air saucer, some more GUN robots, and even an
alien ship. Some Elite Black Arms soldiers will drop from the ship to
attack. Take out those enemies and head to the next door that's
forward. A Big Foot will appear near it, but ignore it and just move
on. The door leads to a path with an air saucer at the end. Get on it
and head down to some more alien liquid. Some Black Arms Worms will
appear from under the liquid, so be sure to get rid of them. Head left
and you'll see some dash panels and a path of rings. The path past
them is on dry ground, but there are some GUN robots roaming around.
Avoid them as you head to the warp hole ahead. The warp hole leads to
the fifth save point.
The path ahead has a turret and an air saucer. Get on the air saucer
and avoid the Big Foot ahead. You'll reach a tunnel that goes
downward. The area ahead will have a bunch of Big Foots and Elite
Black Arms soldiers. Get on the air saucer near the alien liquid and
head forward. Make sure that you only take out the Elite Black Arms
soldiers and not the Big Foots and GUN robots. If your air saucer is
destroyed during your trip, you'll fall into the liquid and lose a
life. Beware of the Big Foots above too. They'll fire their guns at
you and will make sure that you'll plummet into the liquid. There's
some springs at the end leading to a warp hole. This warp hole leads
to the sixth save point.
Past the sixth save point are some weights. Avoid them and then you'll
need to avoid some alien bombs. Eventually, you'll see some alien
slime. You can grind on it to move on. The passage ahead is filled
with GUN robots. Ignore them all as you move on. Some more grindable
slime is ahead. Past it will be an area filled with Big Foots. Again,
ignore them all as you head to the grindable slime past them. That
slime leads to a path with some rings. Also, more Big Foots will come
to play. The grindable slime past them leads to a door. The path past
the door leads to a room with some more GUN robots and a Big Foot. Get
past them and take the dash panels to an air saucer. Get on it, go on
the alien liquid, and then head to an area filled with Black Arms Gold
Worms and some Elite Black Arms soldiers. Take out all of the Elite
Black Arms soldiers to lower the platforms blocking another passage.
Ahead will be another Black Arms Gold Worm. Get rid of it and take a
right. You'll see some dash panels taking you upward. Move right and
you'll see an Elite Black Arms soldier. Take it out and a platform
will rise so that you can reach the next door. The seventh save point
is past that door.
Next up are even more GUN robots and at the end of the path is a Big
Foot. Destroying the Big Foot will raise some platforms leading to
another door. More GUN robots and Big Foots are ahead past the door.
Get past them all as you move on forward. You'll eventually reach a
room with an Elite Black Arms soldier and some Black Arms Worms. After
taking them out, head to the next room. Some more of those Black Arms
Worms and Elite Black Arms soldiers will come to play. Take them all
out and then head to the door. The path past the door leads to an air
saucer. Get on it and then go on the alien liquid below. Take out the
2 Black Arms Worms behind you and then head on downward. Avoid the
tentacles as you go down and you'll eventually run into a dash panel
leading to the last save point and the goal ring. Touch the goal ring
and get prepared to face the Egg Dealer.
A-rank tips: Eliminate only the Black Arms forces. Try to avoid
eliminating the GUN forces though.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Sonic & Diablon (boss)
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Hard
Touch the first save point and then get on the air saucer ahead. Head
to the batch of rings at the right and they'll take you to a platform
with a GUN robot on it. Destroy it and head to the next platform.
The platform past that has another GUN robot. Take it out and then
head forward to a platform. Another GUN robot is at the top. Destroy
it and then take a right. A Big Foot will be there. Destroy it and
go left. Spin dash on the alien slime ahead and you'll see another GUN
robot. Take it out and move forward to another GUN robot. Next, get
on the air saucer and head to the dash panel below. You'll then land
on the second save point. That should be 6/50 GUN mechs destroyed.
Past the second save point is an air saucer. Get on it and then head
to the platform that'll go up and down. There's also a ring path and
a balloon. Use light dash on the rings to reach the balloon and to get
to the other side of the path. There are 2 more GUN robots in front of
you. Go right and then go left to some dash panels. They'll take you
to the other side where some platforms are. Ascend up the platforms
and then take out the GUN robot near a door (9/50 GUN mechs gone now).
Past the door is a downward path below. Go there and you'll see an air
saucer and some more alien liquid. Avoid the Black Arms Worms ahead
and head to the passage past them. Another downward path is there. At
the end of the path is an air saucer. Get on it and head to the right.
Watch out for the Elite Black Arms soldiers that'll try to shoot you
down. At the top of the path is a lone Elite Black Arms soldier.
Despite what Black Doom will say to you, you'll have to take it out to
raise some platforms leading to a path with a warp hole. The third
save point is past the warp hole.
Past that save point is a GUN robot. Destroy it and head to the air
saucer that's ahead. Go down to the alien liquid and evade the alien
bombs and Elite Black Arms soldiers in your path. Some dash panels
are at the end of the path. They'll lead to some more alien liquid and
some more Black Arms Worms. Avoid them all and head to the dash panels
at the end to the fourth save point. The next room has some more GUN
robots and a Big Foot near another door. Take them all out and move
on. The next passage leads to an air saucer. Get on and go on the
alien liquid below. Go left and you'll see some dash panels leading to
a path of rings. You'll be on dry ground, but there are more GUN
robots to take out ahead. Also, there are some platforms leading to a
Big Foot at the middle of this area. Take it out too and then head to
the warp hole at the end of the path. That warp hole leads to the
fifth save point. That's 20/50 GUN mechs demolished now.
Next up is a turret and an air saucer. Take out the Big Foot ahead and
then enter the tunnel past it to a downward path. An air saucer is
below and so is some more alien liquid. The next room has a bunch of
GUN mechs and Elite Black Arms soldiers. Try not to take out the
Elite Black Arms soldiers while attacking the Big Foots and GUN robots.
At the end are some springs leading to a warp hole. Go in it and then
touch the sixth save point. You should've destroyed 34/50 GUN mechs at
the most.
The next passage has some weights and alien bombs. Get past them all
and then use the grindable slime that's ahead to continue. Past that
slime are some GUN robots. Destroy them all and then take the next
grindable slime to an area with some Big Foots. Take them out before
heading to the next grindable slime. There will be a few more Big
Foots past it. Next, head onto the last grindable slime and it'll take
you to a door leading to another passage. Past the passage will be
some more GUN mechs. Take them out and then use the dash panels ahead
to get to the air saucer below (that's 44/50 GUN mechs destroyed). Get
on the air saucer and be ready to avoid some Black Arms Gold Worms and
some Elite Black Arms soldiers. The path ahead is sealed by some
platforms. They won't move unless the Elite Black Arms soldiers are
gone. After passing the platforms, head right to an upward path and
you'll see another Elite Black Arms soldier. Ignore what Black Doom
will say to you and take it out, because there's a platform below that
needs ascending. Get on the platform and head to the door leading to
the seventh save point.
There are more GUN robots ahead and a lone Big Foot at the end of the
path. Take them all out and then use the platforms that ascended after
destroying the Big Foot to reach the next door. There's a GUN robot
and a Big Foot ahead. Destroy them both and you've destroyed all 50
GUN mechs. Now, get prepared to face Sonic & Diablon.
A-rank tips: Take out just the GUN mechs. Don't take out the Black
Arms forces unless needed. Also, try to clear this mission as quickly
as possible.

The icons that appear are...
Missile: If 3 missiles are lined up, Missile Fever starts. If Eggman
stops the third reel, the missiles are after you, but if you stop the
third reel, the missiles attack Eggman.
Bomb: If 3 bombs are lined up, Bomb Fever starts. If Eggman stops the
third reel, he'll chase after you and release bombs as he goes, but if
you stop the third reel, a bomb will drop and explode on Eggman's
machine.
Ring: If 3 rings are lined up, several rings will appear at the center
of the stage. Only Shadow can activate this.
Egg Pawn: If 3 Egg Pawn images are lined up, Eggman will release some
Egg Pawns at you. Only Eggman can activate this.
Shadow: If 3 images of Shadow are lined up, Shadow Fever starts.
Shadow's dark gauge will be full and you can do Chaos Blast on the
machine. Only Shadow can activate this.
Sometimes, some crates will appear at the center of the stage. They
may contain a weapon you can use on Eggman's cockpit. You must keep
on attacking the Egg Dealer until it finally collapses.
A-rank tips: Just keep on setting off the reels on the Egg Dealer.
Anything that you activate will be useful to you (except for the
rings). Also, don't waste time getting weapons, because you can finish
this battle up without their help.

Level: Normal
The stage starts on a couple of rails. There are some dash circles and
rings up ahead as well. Eventually, you'll reach a hall filled with a
couple Egg Pawns. Destroy them and head on forward. Some dash panels
are at the end of the hall. They'll lead to a platform with some Egg
Pawns and you'll encounter Omega as well. Eliminate the Egg Pawns and
then take the rail ahead out of the platform. You'll then reach a
passage with more Egg Pawns and some more rails. Past them all is a
gap leading to the first save point.
The doors ahead lead to some walls to triangle jump from. If you reach
the other side, there will be a rail to use. However, falling down
will require you to use the fans to reach the door with some Egg Pawns
near it. There are platforms past that door too. Get over all of them
to move on. Both routes will lead to a room where the first volcanic
defense system is. Ignore it and head to the passage behind it. Watch
out for the Egg Balls as well. The door ahead leads to the second save
point.
Next, is a rail and some platforms with Egg Pawns on them. Either use
light dash on the rings or take out the Egg Pawns. The hall past them
has some red lasers. Dodge them and you'll reach a room with some
slanted platforms. Get from one platform to the next while trying not
to fall into the lava (you'll lose a life if that happens). At the
other side are more Egg Pawns, a door, and a ring pole. The door leads
to a path with lava below. You'll need a special machine to get over
it. Instead, grab the ring pole and take the path above. The next
hall has some loose ground and more Egg Pawns and Egg Balls. Take them
all out and move on by either taking the path below the loose ground or
the gap past the last Egg Ball. Both paths will lead to the next room.
The doors below lead to a room with some more Egg Pawns. The door past
them leads to the second volcanic defense system. Ignore that one as
well and move on. Watch out for the Shadow Androids as you're heading
to the other side though. The third save point is next to another rail
passage.
The room ahead will have some more walls to use triangle jump on.
There's a rail at the other side to get on. If you fall though, take
out the Egg Balls and then use the rail ahead to get to some platforms
and some fans. Use the vents to go up. Both paths will lead to the
same room however. The next path will have an Egg Pawn and some Shadow
Androids. Take them all out and then use the platforms ahead to reach
the fourth save point and the third volcanic defense system.
Again, ignore the defense system and take the path behind it. Also,
take out the Egg Balls as you go. A ring pole ahead will take you to
a door with the seventh save point. The next rail passage will lead
to some fans and a couple dash circles as well. Past them all will be
3 rails and some Egg Pawn duds. Evade them as you head to another
passage. The next room has a rail that'll take some loops. You'll
then reach a hall with more Egg Pawns and Egg Balls. Eliminate them
and then keep grinding on the rail. Eventually, the rail leads
downward and you'll encounter some Egg Pawns and Shadow Androids. Get
past them all and you'll eventually reach another passageway. The room
ahead has 3 rails leading to a platform with the last save point and
the goal ring. Touch it to clear the mission. Now, prepare for the
battle against the Egg Dealer.
A-rank tips: Take out as many of Eggman's robots as possible. Also,
try to reach the goal ring as quickly as possible. Chaos Control can
be helpful here too.

Dark Mission
Next Stage: Egg Dealer (boss)
Helper: Dr. Eggman
Level: Hard
Take the same path as normal until you've reached the first volcanic
defense system (which is near the second save point). Activate it
with some firearms and then take the platforms that have ascended to
get to the second save point. The lava level has risen, so you'll need
to light dash on the ring path to move on. Avoid the lasers ahead and
then move on to the slanted platforms. Because of the rising lava
level. You'll need to make longer jumps to get by. Next, grab onto
the ring pole to go up. Ignore the Egg Pawns and Egg Balls and head to
the long gap. Grab the poles and use them to get down. A door is
below, along with some risen lava. Get to the door and then reach the
room with the second volcanic defense system. Activate that one too
and then use the rail to the right to get to the third save point.
The rail ahead leads to some walls to triangle jump on. You'll have to
use the walls thanks to the increased lava level. At the other side is
a rail to use. Get on it and move on. Watch out ahead, because the
rail you're grinding on will soon reach a dead end. Get on the
platforms with the Egg Pawns and Shadow Androids and then use the
platforms past them to reach the fourth save point and the third
volcanic defense system.
Activate the third defense system to raise the lava and make some
platforms appear at the left. Get on them and then onto a moving
platform. Next, jump onto a series of moving platforms and you'll then
reach the fifth save point and a door. Past the door are more slanted
platforms and some red lasers. Avoid the lasers as you jump to each
platform. You'll then reach a door and past it will be a ring path
leading to the fourth volcanic defense system. Light dash to it and
activate it. Watch out for the Shadow Androids as well. Once the
defense system is activated, some platforms will rise behind it. There
are moving platforms leading to a fan ahead. Get to the fan and use
the vent from it to ascend. You'll see a platform with a ring path
ahead. Light dash at the path to reach another platform. Above is a
moving platform and a ring pole. Grab the ring pole to ascend to some
more moving platforms. Wait for them to fully extend before letting
go. Jump from one to another as you reach the dash circle above.
You'll reach another platform and another ring path. Light dash on
that path too and you'll reach a platform with some poles above it.
Grab them to ascend. At the top are more moving platforms and a
passageway past them all. Go in and take the downward path inside.
You'll then see a ring path leading to the sixth save point and the
last volcanic defense system. Activate it to clear the mission. Next
up is the Egg Dealer.
A-rank tips: There are no hero side enemies in this stage, so you're
going to have to activate all 5 defense systems without destroying any
of Eggman's robots. Move quickly as well.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is to the right of the first save point. There are
some crates with guns and an air saucer inside. Take the air saucer
and grind on the rail ahead. The air saucer will get you over the lava
safely and can be helpful for the dark mission. Plus, there's a secret
room that'll require the air saucer to get past.

Next Stage: Egg Dealer (boss)

This stage starts at a path leading to an ARK transit device. Once
you've grabbed on, it'll take you to a collapsing platform. After a
couple seconds, a platform ahead will fall along with 3 Black Birds.
Use the homing attack on them to get to that platform. Wait a bit more
and some more platforms will drop. The next set has the first save
point.
Grab the ring pole ahead and then you'll see Doom's Eye. You'll then
see more collapsing platforms and some Black Birds. Use them to get
to the platform at the very end. Another platform will eventually
descend near that one. Jump onto it and then you'll next see some
tilted platforms and some Black Hawks. Head left and you'll reach a
platform with some loose ground and a Giant Black Arms soldier. This
one ahead is stronger than the sword-wielding ones and they can block
firearms with their hands. Get past it and use the spring ahead to get
to the next platform. Next, there are platforms below that you'll need
to drop to in order to continue. At the end will be another
firearm-blocking Giant Black Arms soldier and a GUN robot. Past them
both is a dash panel and some dash circles. Go through them all and
you'll see a ring path. Use light dash on them or drop to the
platforms below. Either choice will lead to another ARK transit
device. Take the device into the ARK and you'll then see the second
save point.
The hall ahead leads to a door. Past that door will be some GUN
robots. Take them out and then head to the door at the far right. The
hall past that door leads to a room with a GUN robot and an Artificial
Chaos. Take out just the GUN robot and then head to the door behind
the Artificial Chaos. You'll then take a path leading to another ARK
transit device. Once you get off, you'll drop to a platform with the
third save point on it.
The platforms ahead are rotating. You'll need to jump from one to the
other to reach the other side. You'll then get to a platform and past
it will be a Black Hawk and some Black Birds. There's also some
platforms below that'll start to collapse. You must quickly jump to
another platform before the collapsing platforms drop you to your doom.
The last platform will ascend you to some balloons and a platform with
the fourth save point on it.
The next set of platforms will rotate to an angle where you'll fall off
of them. You must make sure that you don't fall while crossing. If
you do fall, you'll land on a platform and past it will be some rails
and springs. If you were able to get across all of the rotating
platforms, you'll reach a platform that'll collapse. It'll take you
to a platform with a Giant Black Arms soldier and an ARK transit
device. If you took the lower path, that too will take you to the ARK
transit device. This device leads to the ARK's power plant. Inside is
the fifth save point.
Next, take the passage ahead and you'll reach a door. Past it will be
a room with platforms and laser ports. The laser ports are still
active, so make sure to stay clear from the lasers coming out of them.
Past them is a door leading to a hall with a loose door. Spin dash
under that door and head to the next door. Past it is a room with the
goal ring below. Jump down and touch it to clear the mission. Now,
get ready to face off against the Egg Dealer.
A-rank tips: There aren't very many GUN robots in this stage, so you'll
need to reach the goal ring as quickly as possible.
************************************************************************
Hero Mission
Next Stage: Black Doom (boss)
Helper: Vector
Level: Hard
You'll take the same path as the dark mission until you've reached the
room where the dark mission ends.
In the room with the goal ring below, there are some monitors ahead.
Use triangle jump on them to move forward. If you fall though, you'll
need to use the platform to the right of the goal ring to get up. Both
paths lead to a door with another ARK transit device past it. This
one will take you to a platform with the sixth save point on it and a
GUN walker.
Get on the GUN walker and then jump. You'll be able to reach the
platforms above. Next are 2 routes you can take. The path forward
leads to more platforms. The top one has a ring pole to ascend from.
Use the ring poles ahead to reach the top platform. Another GUN walker
is above, but this one has weapons. An Artificial Chaos is above the
platform. Shoot it down with the GUN walker and then head to the
platform below. Another Artificial Chaos is there along with a dash
panel. Get off the GUN walker and go past it to another platform.
This one also has an Artificial Chaos, but the ring pole below will
take you to some dash circles. If you took the path at the left
however, it'll lead to a platform that requires the GUN walker to
reach. You'll then get to a platform with a GUN walker. This one has
weapons, so switch to that one and move forward. Next, go down and
you'll see a platform with 2 Artificial Chaos above it. Take them out
and then head down again. Another Artificial Chaos is there along with
some alien slime. Take out the Artificial Chaos and then ditch the GUN
walker so that you can spin dash on the slime. You'll then land on
another platform. Either route that you've taken will lead to a
platform with a dash panel on it. Go past it and then get ready to
land on some platforms with more dash panels. Eventually, you'll reach
a dash panel where it'll take you to some dash circles below. The dash
circles lead to a platform with a rocket. Grab it and it'll take you
to another platform with a rocket. Grab that one and it'll send you to
an area that has the last save point and a computer system. Touch this
computer to clear the mission. Next up is a battle with Black Doom.
A-rank tips: Take out only the Black Arms soldiers. Also, try to
reach the computer room as quickly as possible.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is past the fifth save point. Inside is a switch
that'll create several ring paths. These ring paths will lead to a
shortcut to the computer room. Useful for an easy A-rank for the hero
mission.

Boss Battle (Dark Mission)
Boss: Egg Dealer
Side: Dark
Helper: Vector
Level: Normal
Eggman doesn't want Shadow to defy his Grandfather's (Professor
Gerald's) legacy. Now, you'll have to deal with Eggman's greatest
creation, the Egg Dealer.
The objective of this boss battle is to stop the 3 reels that are on
Eggman's machine. Perform a homing attack on each of them to get some
results. The icons that appear on the reels determine what happens.

Boss Battle (Hero Mission)
Boss: Black Doom
Side: Dark
Helper: Vector
Level: Normal
Black Doom thinks that Shadow's mind has been corrupted by the outside
world. Get ready to face off against the Black Arms army leader.

Hero Mission
Next Stage: Black Doom (boss)
Helper: Sonic
Level: Hard
This stage starts with you falling down to the first save point. Next,
take the path ahead and you'll run into Sonic. You'll then take a
tunnel leading to a long passageway. There are some Black Arms
soldiers ahead. Take them out as you move forward. Also, after
passing a few of them, you'll then see a cage with a spring inside.
Take out the Black Arms soldier on the bridge above to open it. The
spring takes you to an upper path that'll get you past most of the
Black Arms forces. The only thing to worry about on the upper path
are some Giant Black Arms soldiers near the end of the path. Anyway
if you stay on the lower path, you'll then run into some Giant Black
Arms soldiers. These ones don't block firearms, so feel free to fire
weapons at them. Past those guys will be a few more Black Arms
soldiers and another cage with a spring. Again, take out the Black
Arms soldier on the bridge to open it. Past that cage is an alien ship
and a Giant Black Arms soldier that's wielding a giant hammer. This
one blocks firearms, so it's pointless to use weapons on it unless the
weapons fire explosives. Past the alien ship will be more Black Arms
soldiers and then a dead end. There's a cage with a spring inside
though, but you'll need to deal with some Black Arms soldiers to open
it. Take the spring and then you'll see a passage you must take. The
path has some Black Hawks and below are some dash panels leading to the
second save point.
Head on forward and you'll encounter 2 Elite Black Arms soldiers.
Even though they can teleport and attack from a distance, they're
pretty easy to defeat. Take them out and then head forward. To the
left is a Black Arms soldier equipped with a vacuum gun. Eliminate it
and then take its vacuum gun. Also, you'll notice that one of the
walls has an odd color. If you use the vacuum gun on it, it'll start
to move. Now, turn around and you'll see a path leading upward.
There's another Black Arms soldier that's near that path. Get rid of
it and then head to that path. This path has some Elite Black Arms
soldiers ahead. Eliminate them and keep on taking the upper path. One
more Elite Black Arms soldier is ahead and then you'll reach the wall
section that you've moved with the vacuum gun. Use it to get up.
The path above will have even more Elite Black Arms soldiers and at
the end is a passage to the left that you must take. You'll see some
alien slime ahead. Use spin dash on it to go down. Next, you'll see
a switch ahead. DON'T activate it (you'll find out why later)! Just
go down and take the open path available. There are some platforms and
Black Hawks in this passage. Take out the Black Hawks and then use the
platforms to reach a long platform below you. A Giant Black Arms
soldier will drop down to attack you. This one doesn't block firearms
fortunately. Next, head forward to a large gap and some walls. Use
triangle jump on them to get by. The next path will have another Giant
Black Arms soldier. This one blocks firearms, so use explosive weapons
or direct weapons on it to take it out. To the right are some Black
Arms soldiers and a cage. Take out the enemies to open it. Inside is
a vacuum gun. Use it on the odd-colored wall to pull it out. Jump on
it and then spin dash on the alien slime. There are a few more walls
ahead that are affected by the vacuum gun. Pull them all out and then
use them to get up to a path leading to a door. You'll then reach a
room with a passage below. Go down and head there. The third save
point is near the passage entrance.
This passage ahead leads to some loops. Past them all is another hall.
At the other side will be a bunch of Giant Black Arms soldiers.
Fortunately, all of them won't block firearms, so any weapon can take
them out. Past them all are some dash panels leading to a long
passageway. There are dash panels on this path and at the end is a
rocket. Grab it to head on forward. You'll then descend with a
parachute to a platform below. Watch out for the alien bombs below
though. Once you've reached the platform. There will be a long gap
ahead and some walls. Also, some lasers are lined up between those
walls, so be careful when triangle jumping past them. At the other
side is a door leading to another hall. At the end of that hall is the
fourth save point.
Past the fourth save point is another switch. Ignore it and head right
to a path leading to some dash panels. These dash panels lead to a
huge room filled with alien bombs. Also, there's a cage that's being
guarded by some Elite Black Arms soldiers. Eliminate them all to open
the cage. Inside is a vacuum gun. Grab it and go left. There's
another cage there, but it too has been opened thanks to the
elimination of the Elite Black Arms soldiers. This cage holds a
spring, but behind the cage is another odd-colored wall. Pull it out
with the vacuum gun and then use the spring to get on it. Next, head
to the upper path ahead. There are some red lasers ahead along with
another odd-colored wall. Move it with the vacuum gun and you'll
notice that only 2 lasers are blocked. Head right to a platform. At
the other side is another odd-colored wall. This one will block the
last 2 lasers when pulled out. The path that's past the moving
platform is no longer blocked. Head in there to move on. There will
be an odd-colored wall to the left. Pull it out with the vacuum gun
and then head to the path at the right. That path takes you up so that
you'll be able to jump onto. Get on it and then head to the door past
the wall. This door leads to the fifth save point.
Next up is a passage with a Black Arms soldier ahead. Take it out and
then move on. You'll then run into a few Elite Black Arms soldiers.
Defeat them and then some platforms will appear. Jump on them to reach
the other side. There's another path to take over there. Watch out
for the lone Elite Black Arms soldier that'll drop by when you head in.
While taking this passage, you'll need to keep an eye out for any Black
Arms soldiers in your path. Take each of them out as you reach the end
of this passage. There's another passage at the left. Go in and
you'll reach a room with an odd-colored wall, some red lasers, and
below are some cages. There's also an Elite Black Arms soldier below.
If it's taken out, both cages will open. One cage has a spring while
another has a vacuum gun. Use the vacuum gun on the odd-colored wall
to pull it out. That'll block the lasers so that you can move on. A
weight is past that wall though, but you should be able to get over it.
Past that weight are some Elite Black Arms soldiers and a door. This
door leads to another hall. Past that hall is a passage below. You'll
see some dash panels leading to a long passageway. This passageway
leads to some dash panels and past them will be a huge platform with
some Black Arms soldiers on it. Eliminate them all to make a platform
descend. Get on it and you'll reach a platform with a Giant Black Arms
soldier on it. This one doesn't block firearms fortunately. Past it
is some alien slime that you can spin dash on. You'll land on another
platform with a Giant Black Arms soldier. Defeat that one and a ring
path will appear. Use light dash on it to reach another passage. An
Elite Black Arms soldier will appear near the passage. Inside is a
platform leading to an area with some Elite Black Arms soldiers and a
lone Giant Black Arms soldier. Below the platform is some alien slime
that you can grind on. The slime leads to some dash circles and some
loops. At the end is a path leading to the sixth save point.
The next area has some more Black Arms soldiers. Take them out and
then take the upper path at the right to a room with another switch.
Ignore it and head to the right. You'll take a drop to a passage with
some more Black Arms soldiers. Eliminate them all and you'll
eventually reach some dash panels. These dash panels lead to a long
passageway. Ahead are some more Black Arms soldiers. Take them all
out and then head on forward. A few more Black Arms soldiers are
ahead. Get them out of here and keep going. There are 2 Giant Black
Arms soldiers on the bridge above. One of them doesn't block firearms,
but the other one does. Get some direct weapons or explosives and then
use them on those enemies. A few more Black Arms soldiers are ahead
and at the end are some dash panels. These dash panels lead to a giant
room with some alien ships. There's also the seventh save point in
that room.
Get past them all and head forward. There are some turrets and a Black
Volt at the center of the room. Past the center platform is a hall
leading to another door. Go past it and you'll take a hall leading to
some dash panels. The last switch and the last save point is there.
Now, I'll explain why you shouldn't activate the switches. If you
activate any of them, barriers will appear behind the last save point.
You need to use the last save point to go back and deactivate the
switches you've activated. Once all of the switches are deactive, take
the hall past the last switch to the goal ring and Black Doom. Touch
the goal ring and get ready to fight Black Doom.
A-rank tips: It's almost impossible to not get an A-rank here. Just
take out every Black Arms soldier in your path and you'll do fine.
************************************************************************
Dark Mission
Next Stage: Sonic & Diablon (boss)
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Hard
You'll take the same path as the hero mission path until you've reached
the first switch that you'll encounter. The first switch is past the
first batch of alien slime you've spin dashed on. Activate it and
you'll notice that the barrier to the left of the switch has changed
its position so that now it'll block the hero mission path. Head into
the opened passage and you'll see a Black Volt. Take it out and then
get on it. Ahead is an area with some alien bombs and some Black Arms
soldiers. Fire tracking worms at the bombs to clear the path, but
DON'T target the Black Arms soldiers. You'll automatically get off the
Black Volt when you've reached the door at the very end. Go past the
door and you'll see another passage that's below you. Go down to it,
touch the third save point ahead, and then take the passage past the
save point.
Continue on until you've reached the fourth save point. The second
switch is ahead. Activate it to open the path leading to another
Black Volt. Take it out and then get on it. There are some alien
bombs ahead that need to be taken out. Past them is a large room with
some Black Arms soldiers and an alien ship. You'll fly around this
room while on the Black Volt until you get to the door at the other
side. This door is locked however. Fortunately, there's a switch
that's above one of the side platforms. Shoot it with a tracking worm
or with a turret that's around this room and that'll open up that door.
Past that door is a room with a passage below. Go down and pass
through the dash panels there to head to a long passageway. Keep
moving on until you get to the sixth save point.
After passing the sixth save point, head to the path ahead to the third
switch. Activate it and then take the new path that leads to a Black
Volt. Defeat it and get on. The Black Volt will take you over the
main passage. You'll get off the Black Volt near the door in the room
with some alien ships. Head past the door and then take the hall to
some dash panels. They'll take you to the last save point and the last
switch. Activate that switch and you've just activated all of the
shields for the Black Comet. Now, get ready to face Sonic & Diablon.
A-rank tips: There are no hero side enemies here. You'll need to
activate all 4 switches very quickly and without eliminating too many
Black Arms soldiers.

Secret Door
There are 4 secret doors in this stage. All of them have turrets
inside. They can be found along the main path.

To defeat Black Doom, you're going to have to attack him once he's

A-rank tips: As you're attacking Black Doom, your hero gauge will rise.
Once it's full, activate Chaos Control once Black Doom's in the middle
of his final attack. Start firing your weapon at him and hope that he
doesn't disappear. If everything works, you should get an easy A-rank
without much problem.

Boss Battle (Dark Mission)
Boss: Sonic & Diablon
Side: Hero
Helper: Doom's Eye
Level: Normal
Sonic is mad at Shadow for sealing the path leading to Black Doom.
Also, Diablon has been brought in to make sure that Shadow gets taken
out for good. Get ready to face off against these 2 opponents.

Stage Walkthrough
Next Stage: Devil Doom (boss)
Helper: None
Level: Hard
Before I begin, I need to warn you that you only have 10 minutes to
complete this stage.
This stage begins with you falling onto some alien slime that's
grindable. You'll then pass through some dash circles. The alien
slime leads to a downward hall. You'll then get off the slime near
some dash panels. There are some Black Arms soldiers here, but don't
waste time with them. Head on forward and you'll see a few Black Arms
soldiers and some more dash panels. Take the enemies out and then use
the dash panels to move on. You'll eventually reach some dash panels
leading to a huge room. A few more Black Arms soldiers are on the
platform that you'll drop onto. Move on and you'll see an alien ship
and a Giant Black Arms soldier. Don't waste time with it. Just ignore
it and head forward. Near the door ahead are 3 Elite Black Arms
soldiers. Ignore them all and head to the door. Past the door is a
Giant Black Arms soldier and some alien slime. Get rid of that enemy
and then use spin dash on the slime to go down. You'll see the first
save point there.
Now, head to the door to the left of the save point. You'll see a
Black Volt past it. Take it out and then get on it. Next, accelerate
the Black Volt immediately. Use the tracking worms to eliminate the
alien bombs, the Black Volts, and the Black Arms soldiers that are
around the long passage. You'll get off the Black Volt near the second
save point. Touch it and then head to the door past it.
After passing the door, go left and you'll see some more grindable
slime. Get on it to move on. The path past the alien slime has some
Black Arms soldiers. They can be taken out easily, but can cost you
some time. Past them all is some more slime that you can grind on.
You'll then reach another path, but this one will have some Elite
Black Arms soldiers. Unless you have a strong weapon, ignore them and
keep going. Some more grindable slime is at the other side. Use it to
get to the next path below. There are a few more Black Arms soldiers
on this path and some more slime at the other side. Get on the slime
and it'll take you to a door. Past that door will be a room with some
platforms. There are some Black Arms soldiers on those platforms.
Below is a passage leading to the third save point. There are a few
Black Hawks near the save point though. Touch the save point and move
on.
Next up, you be greeted by some Black Arms Worms and some Black Arms
Gold Worms. Get rid of them all and keep on moving. Head to the right
and you'll see an upper path to take. There's an alien ship and some
Black Arms soldiers ahead. Get past them all and you'll see a Giant
Black Arms soldier at the end. Also, you'll be at a dead end at this
point. The only way to get out of this room is to maximize your hero
gauge and use Chaos Control. Take out the Black Arms soldiers and then
use Chaos Control to get out of this room.
After using Chaos Control, you'll find yourself at a huge pathway.
There are many Black Arms Worms and Black Arms Gold Worms here. Take
them out and keep going. At the end of the long path is another dead
end and some Black Arms Worms. Take them out and then go back to take
out the Black Arms soldiers you've missed to maximize your hero gauge.
Once maximized, use Chaos Control to get out of here.
After using Chaos Control, you'll pass over the fourth save point and
some loops past a downward hall. Once Chaos Control ends, you'll be
past all of the loops. The hall ahead leads to some dash panels. Past
them is a room with some Giant Black Arms soldiers. Don't waste time
with them. Just take the path at the upper right out of this room.
You'll see some more dash panels ahead. Use them to drop to another
hall and the fifth save point.
More Black Arms soldiers are around to stop you as you're moving along
this hall. Get past them all and you'll then reach an area with some
platforms and some Black Volts. Past the Black Volts is a ring path.
Use light dash to get to the next long path. More Black Arms soldiers
will appear to stall you. Get past them all as you head forward.
You'll eventually reach some dash circles leading to a large platform.
There are a few Elite Black Arms soldiers on that platform. You can't
go anywhere beyond this point, so you'll have to take out all of the
Elite Black Arms soldiers that appear to maximize your hero gauge.
That way, you can use Chaos Control to advance even further.
Once the Chaos Control ends, you'll be at the sixth save point and a
passage with a large gap and some walls at the other side. Also,
some alien bombs are around the walls. Destroy them and then
triangle jump to the other side. You'll see an alien ship and an
Elite Black Arms soldier there. To the right are 2 Giant Black Arms
soldiers and a dead end. Again, maximize hero gauge and use Chaos
Control to get out of here. You'll pass the last save point while
using Chaos Control.
Once Chaos Control stops, you'll then take another long path. There
are numerous Giant Black Arms soldiers in this area. In fact, some
of them can block firearms (the ones with the giant hammers). Get
past all of them as you head forward. Eventually, you'll reach a long
upward path. Go up and you'll then see Black Doom. You've made it!
Now, get ready for the final battle against Devil Doom.
The key here is to use Chaos Control frequently. Use it the instant
your hero gauge is full.
A-rank tips: Your score will not be ranked for this stage.
************************************************************************
Secret Door
The secret door is in the first huge room that you'll enter. Head to
the right of the alien ship and you'll see the secret door. Inside is
a warp hole leading to the fourth save point.

Boss Battle
Boss: Devil Doom
Side: Dark
Helper: None
Level: Hard
Before I explain this boss, I'll need to tell you how to control Super
Shadow. Press the A Button to accelerate yourself and use the B Button
to fire Chaos Spear. The longer you hold the B Button, the stronger
the attack will become. The Control Stick can be used to move
yourself. Devil Doom is the hardest boss in this game and you'll need
to master Super Shadow's controls very quickly to win. Also, your ring
gauge will drop while you're Super Shadow. You must make sure that
your ring gauge is over 30. You'll lose a life if all of your rings
are gone.
You'll begin this battle with Devil Doom preparing his attack. His
weak spot is his eye. You must get to the eye by destroying any debris
in your way. However, don't get too close or else Devil Doom will use
Chaos Control to teleport himself. When you reach the eye, use Chaos
Spear at it to cause damage. Doom's Eye will then fly to Devil Doom's
second head. Now, you must go around Devil Doom and get to his second
head. Use Chaos Spear on the eye again. Doom's Eye will switch heads
each time Devil Doom takes damage. If you're low on rings, make Devil
Doom use Chaos Control so that he can summon some debris. Some
balloons will appear as well. Each balloon contains 20 rings. Pop
the balloons to get those rings.
Devil Doom has a couple attacks that you must watch for. He'll either
send debris at you, fire lasers from his meteors, or attack with his
fire breath. Once his health is cut in half, he'll create more debris
to cause chaos with.
Your hero gauge and dark gauge will also rise during the fight.
Destroying the meteors will raise your hero gauge while destroying the
debris will raise your dark gauge. Use Chaos Control to give yourself
more time to find the balloons or to get to the head with the eye. Use
Chaos Blast to attack the eye when in range, but make sure Devil Doom
doesn't use his fire breath attack or else it's useless.
The battle is over once Devil Doom's health is gone. If you defeat
him, you've completed the entire game.
A-rank tips: Your time will not be ranked for this boss battle.

6.2: Weapons
************************************************************************
Samurai Blade
View one of the endings from GUN Fortress. Level 2 will be unlocked
when both endings are viewed.
This is the strongest direct weapon in the game. The level 2 blade can
release a whirlwind that can damage foes within range.
************************************************************************
Satellite Laser
View one of the endings from Black Comet. Level 2 will be unlocked
when both endings are viewed.
This weapon can fire a laser, just like the ones from Westopolis.
The level 2 laser will do more damage to enemies.
************************************************************************
Egg Vacuum
View one of the endings from Lava Shelter. Level 2 will be unlocked
when both endings are viewed.

firing them. If you use all of the ammo, you get a 1-up. The level 2
vacuum will give you 3 1-ups if all of the ammo is used.
************************************************************************
Omochao Gun
View one of the endings from Cosmic Fall. Level 2 will be unlocked
when both endings are viewed.
This unusual weapon can fire Omochao heads at enemies. The level 2 gun
will run through a series of enemies, taking them out on contact.
************************************************************************
Heal Cannon

when both endings are viewed.
This weapon can heal GUN soldiers and other humans. The level 2 cannon
will fully heal anyone hit by this weapon.
