A. COMMENTS / FAQ
==================
This is a GREAT game, but not everyone may love it as much as I do. So if you
are thinking to import it, check around first.
This game reaks of the classic games, which is a VERY good thing. The sliding
move is back, and so is the wire hang. A bunch of classic enemies such as the
Metools that fired shots in
3 different directions, those flying penguins from Ice Man's stage in MM1,
along with those green robots that split apart when you shot at their legs.
Also... Sniper Joes are here as well,
along with those annoying flying red shield enemies. But, thats not the end of
it, the oh-so-hated disappearing blocks are back, as well as those 1-hit kill
lasers from Quick Man's stage in MM2.
Q: How is this game played?
A: The entire game is a sidescroller, much like the classic and X series.
Q: What are the graphics like?
A: Cel-Shaded very nicely.
Q: Is Zero really in this game?
A: Yes and No, it's not the X Series Zero, it's the Zero Virus which is made to
look like Zero. The 2 don't have anything to do with each other, since EXE and
the other series don't connect at all, this has been officially stated in the
"Rockman Perfect Memories Collection"

===========================
=SECTION III: Battle Chips
===========================
A. WHAT IS A CHIP?
===================
A Battle Chip is the main focus of attacking. Your power buster is too weak to
beat the game alone. At the begining of each stage, or after you die, you are
shown the Chip Menu, if you have played the GBA games, then you know how this
works. But it's a bit different this time, the game randomly picks 5 chips from
your folder and you can select all 5 to use. This can be as many as you want or
all or none. If you select none, then you will be able to choose from 10 chips
when your custom guage fills again. Some chips are needed outside of battle.
Like the Dash chip for example. Sometimes there are items that are too far to
reach with just a normal jump. To get the item, you stand at the edge of the
platform and activate the chip, Mega Man will air-dash over to the other
platform, as long as it's close enough.
Elements- There are 4 elements- Heat / Aqua / Wood / Elec / None
Restrictions- Some chips can only be uses when on the ground. They are-
Running, Jumping, Holding onto a ladder, and Hanging from a wire.
Ammounts- You can only have a certain number of a certain chip. You can have 30
cannons, but only 5 FireMan chips.
1- Attack
==========
Attack chips are the chips you will use the most, they are pretty much straight
forward.
2- Support
===========
Support chips are basically HP recovery chips, or barriers. However some chips
help you get hard to reach items. The dash chip will allow you to reach
platforms that are too far away to jump to. The Air Boots chip will allow you
to double jump to get to high to reach places.
3- Navi / Boss Weapon
======================
Navi chips will pause the screen, the summoned navi will warp in and do an
attack. Now I know you are wondering about Boss Weapons? This is just a basic
attack chip, but I thought I should mention it. After you defeat a NetNavi for
the first time you will recieve a chip. When this chip is used, you will use
one of their attacks. FireMan gave me the Flame Thrower, and GutsMan gave me
the Guts Punch.
B. LIBRARY
===========
There are 137 Battle Chips in Transmission. Here I will try to list all the
chips I get in the game. The names will most likely be the english versions, or
some made up name, for most of the boss weapons. Also, Battle Chips do not have
Letter Codes in this game.

C. FOLDER
==========
You can have 20 different battle chips in your folder. At any point in the
game, you may switch chips with ones in your bag. This may not seem like a big
deal, but it is. If you have high attack power chips, but only 1 or 2 of them,
it would be useless to bring them into a stage, since they will get used up
fast. By the time you are at a Navi's gate, you will no doubt have your cannons
and shot guns depleted. It doesn't really matter, since you need to kill the
boss as fast as possible, and Cannons and ShotGuns are too weak. But, if you
switch your weak chips around with a single high attack power chip, you can
win.

=SECTION IV: BOSSES
====================
These strategies are mainly for the first time you meet the boss Navi. I highly
suggest trying to go into a boss fight with a Program Advance ready, and an
already full custom gauge. That way you can use the PA and then switch chips.
Also Roll is highly recommended, since she does a good amount of damage, and
will heal you too. I will put how hard a boss is by the number of stars, it
will be 1-5, 5 being the hardest.
Fire Man.exe
HP: 400
Attacks: Flame Thrower, Body Burn
Difficulty: *****
Chips to get: Flame Thrower, FireMan
Strategy: He will use the flame thrower a lot, it is also hard to dodge, and
will kill you in 2 to 3 hits at the begining of the game. To dodge it, stay at
the edge of the screen, and when it is about to hit you, slide under it. Now
you should attack him. He will most likely use the flame thrower again, so run
away, and slide under it again. His Body Burn attack will only hurt you if you
are standing next to him, when he uses it, he will stand still and turn on
fire. This is a good time to hit him with powerful chip. You should go into
this battle with atleast 4 Bubble Shot chips, and an Aqua Sword (Buy from
Higure for 1,000z)
*Note: If you have trouble avoiding his attacks, you can stand at the edge of
the screen, and slide away from him. You won't move forward since you are
already at the edge, but you should avoid the attack and you won't have to run
back to slide again.

Guts Man.exe
HP: 600
Attacks: Shockwave, Guts Punch, Ground Shock
Difficulty: ****
Chips to get: Guts Punch, GutsMan
Strategy: This guy is HARD. He mainly walks towards you slowly so he can use
his Guts Punch, so you need to take away a lot of HP by the time he reaches
you. Now, beating him includes some patience. You will need to enter this
battle with a Dream Sword 1 program advance. You should also have about 2 or 3
FireMan navi chips ready to use once your PA is gone. To do this, before you
enter his gate, let your custom meter load up, then select no chips, this way
you can get 10 to choose from next time. If you don't get the chips to make
the dream sword, chose weak and useless chips, like cannons and shotguns. That
way, they will be replaced when the custom guage fills again. Hopefully you
will get the chips for the PA. When you do chose them (Sword, WideSword,
LongSword) and press ok. Now... wait for your meter to load once again, once it
is loaded, go into the boss battle. Now, wait for Guts Man to attack you, dodge
it and get close to him and then use the Dream Sword. Now after you used it,
your custom guage is full, so choose 5 chips to use. If you get them, choose
any sword chip, FireMan, Recover 30, High Cannon. All of GutsMan's attacks can
be avoided by jumping. When he jumps into the air, he is about to do his Ground
Shock, this will stun you, so jump before he lands. When he smashes the ground,
he creates a very fast moving shockwave, jump to avoid it. If he gets close to
you, he will use the Guts Punch, I am not kidding here... 2 of these WILL kill
you.
*Note: An easier way to beat him is to have about 9 Sword chips. After he does
an attack, run up to him and use the Sword. If he jumps, try to jump and hit
him with a sword, this will cancel the Ground Shock. When you jump to avoid
most of his attacks, try to hit him with a sword on your way down to the
ground. He should die fast this way. (I use this strategy on the Net Battles
with him)
-----------------------------
Ice Man.exe
HP: 500
Attacks: Ice Slasher, Freeze Bomb, Ice Cube
Difficulty: *
Gives: Ice Slasher, IceMan
Strategy: IceMan is the most pathetic Navi in the game, he needs no strategy.
All he does is run around and use his Ice Cutter, and maybe he will jump and
use the freeze bomb. All of his attacks are easy to avoid. Also the fact that
he is so short makes it great to just jump over him and shoot him with
something powerful. Actually, if you want, worry about the freeze bomb. It
creates multiple Ice Towers.
------------------------------
Needle Man.exe
HP: 600
Attacks: Needle Cannon , Needle Spray , Needle Spin
Difficulty: ****
Gives: Needle Cannon, NeedleMan
Strategy: Needle Man is very random. He will move towards you and fire his
needle cannon, a bunch of needles are shot forward. When you hit him, he will
either use needle cannon, or jump up and fire 5 needles at an angle, one
forward, and the rest forward-down. If he is low on HP he will charge up, and
jump to the top of the screen and spin, when he does this immeditately slide
under him, he will fill the screen with needles, except under him, this is his
Needle Spray. Use FireMan's chip since he is a wood element.
------------------------------
Bright Man.exe
HP: 600
Attacks: Bright Laser, Energy Ball, Barrier
Difficulty: ****
Gives: Bright Laser, BrightMan
Strategy: Bright Man is more annoying than he is hard. He has an infinate
ammount of barriers. If you hit his barrier, he will counter with the Bright
Laser, this is a fast moving laser, it will also turn up or down, so slide to
avoid it. He also has an energy ball attack that moves slowly toward you, it
will hit you if you try to jump, so trick it to moving upward by jump up in
place, and then slide, when you slide it will go down, so you can jump over it,
it will eventually disappear. What you need to do is shoot him with the buster,
slide, then hit him, and hope his barrier isn't back up.
*Note: 3 Tree Bomb 3s will kill him. Just shoot his barrier then toss the bomb.
Also, Navi chips will penatrate his barrier.
------------------------------
Quick Man.exe
HP: 600
Attacks: Quick Boomerang, Dashing, Guard
Difficulty: ****
Gives: Q. Boomerang, QuickMan
Strategy: Quick Man will dash around screen, and block any shot you try to hit
him with. He can only be hit when he is using his Quick Boomerang. You can
slide under him when he comes close to you. He will use his boomerang on ground
level, but also sometimes in the air. Just jump over it and attack him. He will
also block any Navi chips.
------------------------------
Color Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Ball, Aqua Tower, Flame Tower
Difficulty: **
Gives: Ball, ColorMan
Strategy: His will almost always use his ball to attack you. Just jump over or
slide under it. Since he sits on the ball, he will be above the ground and thus
you must jump up to hit him. Roll's chip will lock on to him. He rarely uses
Aqua or Flame Tower. And he almost never moves forward.
------------------------------
Elec Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Lightning, Elec Hold, Teleport
Difficulty: ****
Gives: Elec Shot, ElecMan
Strategy: Elec Man takes practice, when you hit him with anything, he will warp
behind you, grab you, and then shock you (Elec Hold). What you need to do is,
shoot him with your buster, then when he teleports, slide away, turn around and
blast him. If the blast is great enough, it will stun him, and he will use his
lightning attack. 2-3 clouds appear at the top of the screen, and cause
lightning to come down, this is easliy avoidible, just move away from the
clouds. Since he floats around, you can slide under him. A good plan is to
shoot him, slide away and hit him with something powerful. Avoid the lightning
and then slide under him as he comes near you.
------------------------------
Sword Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Sword Smash, Spinning Swords, Sword
Difficulty: *****
Gives: Sword Smash, SwordMan
------------------------------
Gravity Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Gravity Ball
Difficulty: ***
Gives: G.Blast, GravityMan
Strategy: EASY, he does not move at all! He just floats in place, the only
problem is, if you jump up too high, you will land upside down on the ceiling.
Also, his hands will rotate around and will block his head sometimes. Also his
Gravity Ball attack is somewhat similar to Bright Man's energy ball. So they
will home in on you. The battle should mainly be fought upside down, since his
head it closer to the ceiling, and it's the only part of him that will take
damage. The easiest way to kill him is to slide under him and go behind him,
jump to the ceiling and throw Tree Bomb 3s, they will hit him and do a lot of
damage, also, they can't be blocked by his hands. He should be dead before any
Gravity Ball can hurt you.
------------------------------
Star Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Star Crash, Star Arrow
Difficulty- ***
Gives: Star Arrow, StarMan
Strategy: Now, there is atleast one boss in each game that I like to go back
to, Star Man is it for this game. He will fly in the air, so any chips that
attack low to the ground are useless. Star Man will teleport away once he does
an attack, so shoot him when he appears again. Star Man's star arrow will shoot
in 9 different directions, but it is easy to avoid. His Star Crash is a bit
harder, he will summon a lot of stars to fall from the sky, most of the time
you can jump over them, since they fall at an angle. But sometime when he is
low on HP he will summon just enough so that you can't avoid them. I recommend
Mega Cannons and Tree Bomb 3s. The only useful Navi chip will be Roll, since
she will hit him where ever he is.
------------------------------
Zero
HP: ????
Attacks: Triple Slash, Hyper Saber
Difficulty- ****
Gives: Triple Saber, Zero (1 time only, you get both at the fight, since he
can't be
re-fought.)
Strategy: You would think he is hard, but he really isn't. As always try to
have a PA ready before you go in. He can ONLY be hit when he is attacking. When
he does attack, use all the chips you can. When he moves around the room, just
slide under him. His Hyper Saber is un-avoidable, and it comes too fast to try.
I recommend Mega Cannons, Roll, and a Dream Sword PA.
------------------------------
Pharoah Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Pharoah Laser, Ratton, Poison Anubis
Difficulty: *****
Gives: Poison Anubis, PharoahMan
Strategy: Annoying, thats what this battle is. Every other second he will drop
a coffin that will shot a laser, or release a ratton. A poison anubis might
drop as well, in which case it will drain your HP by constantly hitting you,
making you unable to fully charge, if one does drop, destroy it immediately.
Pharoah Man will float around the stage, so again attacks that hit the ground
only, won't work. Just blast him with Mega Cannons or Tree Bomb 3s. Beta Cannon
PA is recommended.
------------------------------
Shadow Man.exe
HP:
Attacks: Shadow Blade, MuraMasa, Multiform
Difficulty: ****
Gives: MuraMasa, ShadowMan
------------------------------
Blues.exe
HP: 1000
Attacks: Sword, Wide Sword, Guard, Area Steal, Beta Sword.
Difficulty: *****
Gives: Variable Sword, Blues
Strategy: Hardest normal boss in the entire game. He can only be hit when he
attacks, or right before. If you hit him when he isn't attacking his shield
will block the attack, and send a shockwave back at you. He will almost always
area steal and appear right in front of you, giving you almost no time to
dodge. He will sometimes use the Beta Sword (from the anime), it will launch a
shockwave on the ground, and a sword swipe through the air, so far I have found
this impossible to avoid. All I can really say is do your best to avoid him,
and hit him with as many Mega Cannons as possible, also any strong navi chip.

=SECTION V: FUN STUFF
======================
When you beat a boss or get killed by one in a NetBattle you will get to see
the japanese box art from the second game. During the 2nd part of the game,
this art will change to the box art from the first game. And finally on the 3rd
part, it will change to the EXE 2 pic of Rockman and the Heat Guts style behind
him.
When you beat a boss for the first time, a miniature figurine of him will
appear in Netto's room. There is only 1 problem, they are too small, and at the
end of the game, they are just clutter.
A lot of the music in this game is remixed. Some known remixes are Fire Man's
Stage, Pharoah Man's Stage, Ice Man's Stage, and "Kaze o Tsukinukete" (The
intro to the EXE anime).
Collect each of the bosses navi chip and Meiru will email you about something
weird in her PC, go to the end with the Blue Gate and use the Air Boots to jump
up to the platform to the right of it. The keep going up until you reach a
door. It will open up and reveal a green warp, go to fight the "real" final
boss, Forte.
