1: Foreword
============
Just a few words to start off this walkthru of mine. I will try to explain to
you the best ways to complete all of the gaps in this game since I did. All
gaps in this game must be completed in "Road Tour" in order to count for gap
completion for The Mime. Gaps completed anywhere else can be done, but it
does not work for obtaining The Mime. You could use the other modes in order
to see if you can even do the gaps. If you could, then you should do it in
"Road Tour". It is a waste of time to me though. I'd rather practice in "Road
Tour" so that if I get the gap, I don't need to do it again. I will make
periodic references to the goals in this game in order to help you find the
gap and / or gap area easier. If you cannot complete all of the goals in this
game at least once with any biker, bike, or with knowledge to do the goals
(meaning that you have to know how to execute and complete the goals with
anybody and everybody), you will probably not be able to complete the gaps.
Once you are able to do that, then you should have no problem completing all
of the gaps with everybody. This is when you should read through and follow
the directions in this walkthru.
This is my first walkthru and my directions may be quite confusing. If they
are, just try to do your best to do the gap. If you don't understand my
directions, just try to find it on your own. This shouldn't be too hard since
I found them all within a day or two. Completing all of the gaps will unlock
the secret character of The Mime without the use of cheats (Unlock Mime Cheat
(below)) (you can use cheats if you want, but none will do much for gap
completion except Perfect Balance cheat which will make your grind / stall
gaps 100% easier). I believe that the effort needed to complete the gaps is
ridiculous since you can not play in "Road Tour" with The Mime or any other of
the secret characters in the game (Day Smith, Vanessa, Big Foot, or Volcano).
I have heard rumors of having to complete all goals / secrets / gaps to unlock
the Mime, but this is just rumor. I did all of the gaps after all of the
secrets were found by me and I got the Mime without all of the goals having
been completed. The Mime will unlock after you have gotten all of the gaps in
this game. I believe that you need to go to the Main Menu area before the
words show that you have unlocked the Mime. I don't really remember because I
wrote this walkthru after I had already completed all the gaps. I then did all
of the gaps again for you, so that you can do them all too. Just to clear
things up. After I completed my last gap in Tiki Park, HI, the words did not
show that I unlocked the Mime. Since I had unlocked three other secret
characters (Day Smith, Venessa, and Big Foot), I went to go to the "Free Ride"
mode to see if I had the Mime. Once I went to the Main Menu area the words
appeared that I had unlocked the Mime, and I checked to make sure, and I had
Day Smith, Venessa, Big Foot, and the Mime along with the other normal bikers
in "Free Ride" mode.
In order to complete the Gap gaps, you will need to do any aerial trick (flip
or grab) while executing the gap. If I state a gap by saying that you must go
or transfer from one quarterpipe or halfpipe to another, I actually mean that
you should transfer from one quarterpipe or halfpipe lip to another. If you do
not execute a trick or transfer from one quarterpipe lip to the other
quarterpipe lip, you probably will not get the gap. This rule does not apply
to all Gap gaps, but it does apply to most of them. It's just easier to say to
do a trick while completing the gap so that you can be assured that you will
get the gap. It isn't that hard to do a trick transferring over a gap. Also,
if you do not get the gap following my directions, just make sure that you are
executing an aerial trick from one lip to another. If you still can't get the
gap, you're hopeless, because as I stated I have completed all the gaps in
this game at least twice so I am certain that my directions are correct.
Also, in order to get the Grind gaps (gaps listed under Grind), you will need
to do one continuous grind, unless there is gap in between the pieces that you
must grind, then those would be called grind-gaps (listed under Gap gaps(you
should not need to execute a trick in between these gaps)).
While trying to do the stall gaps, you will need to press and hold the
triangle button right before the place that you would need to stall and hold
that stall for about 5 seconds until the name of the gap comes up on the
screen. You must remember this piece of information. This is because some
stalls do not look like you can even reach the stall point (such as the
Insane Awning Stall in Los Angeles), but believe me, you can stall on those
points as long as you press and hold the triangle button right before you
stall on the stall point. While trying to complete the stall, some stall areas
have other stall points above, below, or above and below the stall point. If
you stall above or below the stall point, you usually will not get the stall
completed. Stalls in my walkthru will be listed underneath Grind since this is
the way that the game is also set-up.
I am doing this walkthru so that those of you who do not want to take up the
time of your day in order to find the gaps on your own or need help for excess
stress and / or frustration or undue abuse on your controller and / or
Playstation 2 console. I am not including my e-mail address so that you could
ask me questions about other things than gaps or my walkthru. I do not have
time to answer those questions. I will entertain questions pertaining to the
gaps or things about my walkthru. If I deem that your question is something
other than that, you will not get a response. If I do send you a response, you
will get it back within a week or two since I am busy doing more important
things. Before I get any questions about the gaps, let me state that I have
described the gaps to the best of my ability and that all the gaps are
correct. I am sure about this because I have done every gap in this game at
least twice (once to unlock the Mime on my own, and a second time so that I
will be able to describe how to get the gap for all of you). If you don't get
the gap, try and try again until you do. Anyways, when you look for and try to
complete the gaps on your own, you will become a better and more skilled
player. I am already an excellent player because of my video game experience
and my skills. I usually use walkthrus, but I was forced to do this on my own
since I could not find another gap walkthru other than my own.
If you want to quickly jump to a certain section of the walkthru just push
Control + F. Then push 1COD to get to the search codes section. It will be
with the Table of Contents. Next to each section will be a search code. Enter
the correct code to get to the section in the Table of Contents. Then just
enter the code again after pushing Control + F to get to your desired section.
Each code will be 4 characters long (one number then three capital letters).
This is the "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 Complete Gap Walkthru for Playstation 2".
Enjoy!

Description of gap
===========================================
2: OK City, OK (22 gaps / grinds) [1OKC]
===========================================
For some of these gaps you will need to go to the warehouse area. You can open
the warehouse area by doing the "Unlock the Warehouse" Amateur Goal. The
warehouse area will be through the doors along the wall on your right from
where you start the level.
======================
2-1: 12 Gaps [2OKC]
======================
Dakota Gap (800 pts)
--------------------
The Dakota Gap is a combination of Gaps One and Two. When you start, go to
your right and face the quarterpipe along the right wall. You should see a red
rail to the left of you. You will be facing the wall that has the warehouse
doors on it. Go up that quarterpipe, catch some air, come back down and do a
trick going over the whole funbox-type thing that will be directly ahead of
you after you come down the quarterpipe. You should be trying to go from right
to left or left to right of where you start.
Dakota Transfer (3000 pts)
--------------------------
The Dakota Transfer is a somewhat difficult gap to get. It will be easiest to
do it the way that I explain. What you need to do is to go off of the tongue
and get to the walkway. Now, face towards the tongue (or the back wall of
where you start). Go forward left or right to get to the quarterpipe along
the back wall. The tunnel will be on your left if you went right, or it will
be on your right if you went left. Now what you need to do is to transfer from
one quarterpipe to the next, going over the platform that the tunnel goes
through. When you transfer over the platform, you will need to execute a trick
in order for the gap to get completed. This might take you a few tries. Just
keep at it and you will get it.
Gap One (800 pts)
-----------------
You will have to do a perfect 360 nothing over this gap for one of your goals.
If you still do not know, I will try to explain. Gap One is to the right of
you when you start. Get off of the platform that you are on when you start by
going to your right. When you are on the ground, look at the back wall. There
should be a tunnel on your right and a long quarterpipe directly ahead of you
and continuing along the right hand wall (left hand wall, if you are facing
the back). To get the gap catch some air off of the quarterpipe, come back
down, and do a trick while jumping over the funbox-type thing ahead of you.
Gap Two (800 pts)
-----------------
This gap is just like Gap One, but it is to the left of where you start
instead of to the right. You also do not need to do a goal that includes this
gap. Go to the left of where you start and the tunnel will be on your left
when you are facing the quarterpipe that you need to get air off of. To get
the gap go off of the quarterpipe along the back, get some air, come down, and
do a trick while jumping over the funbox-type thing in front of you.
Mcspliff Transfer (1000 pts)
----------------------------
This gap is relatively easy. In order to get it, you will need to go into the
warehouse. When you do, you will need to get to the back wall of it. When you
are there, go up the roll-in that is there to get to a little room with the
green conveyer belt on your right, a quarter pipe ahead of you with a pipe on
the wall above it, and a small quarterpipe and two kickers behind you along
with the roll-in that you came up. To get the gap you need to transfer from
the quarterpipe that is in front of you, go over the green conveyer belt on
your right while doing a trick, and come down the quarterpipe on the other
side of the conveyer belt.
Roll-in Transfer (800 pts)
--------------------------
When you start the level, you will see a little ramp (tongue) in front of you.
Go off of that tongue to the walkway. You will be in a part of the walkway
that will have a quarterpipe on your left continuing all the way around to you
right. In between a part of the quarterpipe on your right will be a roll-in.
This is a ramp. It will break the quarterpipe on your right. To get the gap
you need to do a transfer from one part of the quarterpipe, over the roll-in
while doing a trick, and down on the other part of the quarterpipe.
Tongue Air (500 pts)
--------------------
Do you see the ramp that is directly in front of you with the R inside a
circle when you start? If you do, you have found the tongue. All that you have
to do is pull a trick while jumping from the tongue to get this gap. Simple.
Big Bowl Air (600 pts)
----------------------
As soon as you start this level, go over the tongue and down to the walkway
directly in front of it. Go over the quarterpipe on your left side and fall
into the bowl. Once in the middle of the bowl, look to your left and notice
the roll-in separating the complete bowl. To get this gap you must go up the
roll-in with some degree of speed and execute a trick when you go over the
roll-in to get to the walkway next to Gap Two. This should be enough. I have
also found another way to do this gap, although you will need to hold a long
grind, but you will not need to execute a trick to get this gap. This method
will give you two gaps for the price of one! Do the Commando Grind. Once you
are at the end of the pipe, just jump onto the light fixture and grind that
object to the end. Once at the end of the light fixture, just jump off into
the bowl, and you will have just done the Commando Grind gap and the Big Bowl
Air gap.
Wanna Bee! (800 pts)
--------------------
When you first start this level, go to the right side wall and go through the
warehouse doors. Once through the doors, go to the quarterpipe along the
left-hand wall. What you must do to get this gap is go up the quarterpipe,
catch some air, come down the quarterpipe, and then jump and execute a trick
while jumping over the funbox platform with the bee on it and landing on the
platform slightly higher than that one.
Cargo Transfer (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Once you start the level, you will need to go through the warehouse doors and
along the right side wall. Near the end of the right wall, you will notice
boxes in between two long quarterpipes and a small quarterpipe. The small
quarterpipe will be in between the two longer ones. To get the Cargo Transfer,
you will need to go off of one of the longer quarterpipes, execute a trick,
and come down on the small quarterpipe.
C-belt Transfer (10000 pts)
---------------------------
To get this gap, you will need to go into the warehouse area. Once through the
doors, you will notice a green conveyer belt going left to right directly
after the fun-box object ahead of you. You will need to go to the opposite
side of the conveyer belt that you are already on and face towards the doorway
area of the warehouse. If you look up and to your right, you will notice a
green conveyer belt that has yellow rails with a gap in between each side of
rails. The long quarterpipe underneath it will be directly lined up with this
gap. You will need to go off of the quarterpipe ahead of you when facing the
doorway, catch some air, and when you come back down you need to keep the
speed you built up and launch up and over the higher portion of conveyer belt
while executing a trick and come back down on the other side of the belt in
order to get this gap. This may be difficult, but that is the way to get the
gap. I've done it plenty of times.
Lil' Belt Transfer (1500 pts)
-----------------------------
To get this gap, you will need to get into the warehouse area. Once through
the doors, you will notice a green conveyer belt going from left to right
after the fun-box object directly ahead of you. You need to go over to the
other side of the conveyer belt and look towards the back wall. To get the
gap, catch some air going off of the quarterpipe ahead of you and when you
come back down, you must keep the speed that you have built up and transfer
over the lowest point of the conveyer belt while executing a trick and coming
down on the quarterpipe on the other side of the conveyer belt.
========================
2-2: 10 Grinds [3OKC]
========================
Fatty Grind (1000 pts)
----------------------
If you have already gotten the CD in this level, then you have probably
already done the Fatty Grind. If you have not gotten the CD, you can get it
and the Fatty Grind at once. There are three methods to getting it. The first
method is to get into the bowl forward left of your starting point. Once in
there, get some air on the side opposite the Duff's Precision Engineered
Footwear sign, come down, and come up angled toward the right and press and
hold the triangle button to grind towards the right of the pipe. If you did it
right, you will be grinding towards the wall. If not, you will land in a
stall, which means that you were not angled enough and you will need to try it
again. Watch where you are going because there is a space in the pipe to
another pipe. Once you get there, jump and press and hold your triangle button
right before landing on the pipe. If not, you will wallride and not land back
on the pipe and have to do it all over again. If you do land back on it, keep
grinding until you get to the end of the pipe. You will see a large gap where
the warehouse door is. Jump over it and press and hold the triangle button
right before you land on the pipe between the two warehouse doors. If you
grind the pipe between the two warehouse doors, you will get the Fatty Grind.
The second method is to go to the wall on the other side of where you start
and get into the corner next to the bowl. With the wall on your left, facing
the warehouse doors, and with the bowl on your right, go forward and wallride
up that wall and grind the rail above it. Follow the rest of the directions
for the previous method to get the gap this way. The third method is a lot
simpler. When you start the level transfer off of the tongue with the R in a
circle ahead of you and land in a grind on the light fixture to the right of
it (you will need to get the keys to the bus as an Amateur Goal on this
fixture). At the end of the light fixture, transfer to a grind on the rail
along the wall. Follow the rest of the directions for the first method to get
the gap.
High Corner Grind (1500 pts)
----------------------------
If you have unlocked the secret area in this level with the bull on the wall,
Day Smith, and the Gear outfit, go to the entrance where the ramp /
quarterpipe / roll-in was placed by the forklift. If you haven't unlocked it
go through the warehouse doors and go to the ledge along the right-hand wall.
Look towards the back of the warehouse. You will notice the ledge goes higher
up. Go up the ledge until you reach a pipe. Grind this pipe to the end to get
the High Corner Grind. If you don't understand, you will be at the other end
of the McSpliff Transfer when you dismount from the pipe (at the end of your
grind).
Rodeo Clown (3000 pts)
----------------------
When you start this area, go through the warehouse doors on your right. If you
have activated the switch to have the ramp put on the right wall, go up the
ramp and to the secret area where you set off one fire alarm. If you have not
activated the switch, look for it. If you can't find the switch just give up
(this game is way to hard for you). Once in the secret area go into the
halfpipe. Go up one side of it once you catch the speed and grind the top of
one edge towards where you came into this area. You will notice a bull on the
wall with horns that line up with the top edges of the halfpipe. You just need
jump from a grind on the halfpipe edge to a grind on the bull's horns. Once
you grind the whole bull's horns you will get this gap.
The Commando Grind (5000 pts)
-----------------------------
I have found two different ways to do this gap. Both ways are just as easy for
me since I am such a good player. The first method is to start the level and
ride forward all the way to the opposite wall. Once there, go into the corner
closest to the warehouse doors. Look the opposite way as the door and you will
notice a ramp (on the right side of the bowl). Go up this ramp with some speed
and wallride the wall into a grind on the pipe. Hold this grind as long as you
can. Do not jump and grind again or you might not get the gap. You must grind
the pipe for about 8 or 9 seconds to get the gap. The second method is all
right too. Get into the bowl by riding forward and left of your start
position. Once in the bowl, catch some air opposite the Duff's Precision
Engineered Footwear sign side. Come down and go up the Duff's side at an angle
towards the left and press and hold your triangle button once over the lip of
the bowl. If you did it right, you will be grinding the pipe needed to get the
Commando Grind. This method is great for gameplay. You will just need to hold
the grind for about 8 or 9 seconds to get the gap. If you want, or if you are
a decent player, or if you have the perfect balance cheat in, you can grind
the pipe after getting the Commando Grind, jump off of the end of the pipe,
land in a grind on the light fixture, and hold that grind to the end. Once at
the end, just jump off into the bowl, and you will get the Big Bowl Air gap as
well. You will not need to execute a trick to get that gap either. This is
recommended since you will get 2 gaps for the little effort of just balancing
the grind and jumping.
Yellow Streak Grind (500 pts)
-----------------------------
This grind isn't too bad. What you need to do is go through the warehouse
doors from where you start. Once through the doors, look to your right. You
will notice a forklift. If you unlocked the secret area, it is at the bottom
of the quarterpipe into the secret area. The forklift is on a corner
quarterpipe. There is a yellow streak along the edge of this piece. To get
the gap, you just need to grind this corner quarterpipe along the yellow
streak.
Hightop Cargo Stall (2000 pts)
------------------------------
To get this gap, you will need to go through the warehouse doors after
beginning the level and go to the right wall. You will notice 3 quarterpipes
(two long and one short). Go to the last quarterpipe, which is a long one, and
notice the boxes above it. To get the gap, you will need to go up the
quarterpipe and land in a stall on the top of the boxes.
C-belt Grind (800 pts)
----------------------
To get this gap, you must go through the warehouse doors. Once there, you will
notice a green conveyer belt going left to right through the middle of the
warehouse. You will need to go up either side of the conveyer belt on a
quarterpipe. You will then need to grind the yellow rail along this conveyer
belt. The easiest side I believe is the side closest to the warehouse doors
(the side closest to you when you when you get into the warehouse). Either
side will give you the gap though.
Little Red Rail (300 pts)
-------------------------
When you start this level, go to the right wall and get to the warehouse
doors. Once at the right warehouse door, but still in the starting area, look
close to your area and you will notice a little red rail (it should be either
behind you, to the left of you, or to the right of you (it will be at the top
of the roll-in and quarterpipe area that you will be on)). Just grind down
this rail to get the gap. Simple.
Hightop Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------
To get this gap, you will need to go into the warehouse. Once in it, go to the
back of the warehouse. You will notice a roll-in in the wall in the back on
the left side. Go up it to a little room with a green conveyer belt on your
right, a long quarterpipe with a pipe above it ahead of you, and two kickers
and small quarterpipe along with the roll-in behind you. This is also the room
I explained for the Mcspliff Transfer. If you are here, look behind you. You
will notice two kickers, the roll-in that you came up, and a small
quarterpipe. You must aim for the kicker on your right. Do not look directly
straight at the kicker. You must be angled towards the wall a little bit like
you are going for a wallride or fastplant. Bring your rider to the very top of
the roll-in and angle towards the kicker. You must then ride towards the
kicker and jump right before or right at the end of the kicker. If you did it
right you will be grinding the pipe that is right next to the kicker. Now just
hold that grind to get the gap. You will get the gap after grinding from the
rail to a ledge. The gap is on the ledge.
Bench Grind (300 pts)
---------------------
This is a simple gap. In order to get this one, look behind yourself as soon
as you start this level. You will notice a bench behind you near the wall.
Just grind the length of this bench and you will get the gap.
===========================================
3: Chicago, IL (35 gaps / grinds) [1CHI]
===========================================
For some of these gaps you will need to have opened the area on the other side
of the river. You can do this by doing the "Bridge Toll, Deposit 5 Tokens"
Semi-Pro Goal. When you start the level, turn to your right and go down the
ramp to the bottom and go into the street. Turn to your right and follow the
road a short distance until you notice the bridge on your left. Cross the
bridge and you will be in the area.
======================
3-1: 10 Gaps [2CHI]
======================
Rooftop Gap (2500 pts)
----------------------
Go forward when you start the level until you reach a bridge on your left
heading left (it will be one or two seconds ahead of your start area). Follow
the bridge towards the end and go up the ramp on the left of the end of the
bridge. At the top of the ramp take a right to go through the heli-pad where
you did the "Rider Down, Free the Medi-Vac Chopper" Amateur Goal. Go down the
ramp on the other side of the heli-pad and you will notice a wooden kicker in
the corner of the rail on your right. To get the gap, you need to transfer
from the wooden kicker, execute a trick while in the air, and land (preferably
on the kicker on the other end of the alley that you are jumping, but will
also work if you get close to the other kicker and land in the alley).
Plaza Gap (800 pts)
-------------------
Turn and go left once you start the level until you reach a quarterpipe on
your left and a ramp on your right (this area will be at the very bottom of
the ramp on your left). To get this gap, you need to go up the ramp to your
right, jump right before you get to the top of the ramp, execute a trick while
in the air, and come down on the ramp on the other side of the bridge.
North Bench Grind Gap (1000 pts)
--------------------------------
Turn to your right when you start the level. You will see two benches on your
right after the bottom of the ramp. To get the gap, you will need to grind one
bench, jump over the space in between the benches, and land in a grind and
hold the grind on the other bench.
Planter Gap (500 pts)
---------------------
Go forward from where you start. At the bottom of the ramp you will notice a
ramp with a wall and a planter to the left of it on the building ahead and to
the right of you and also a planter next to the building ahead and to the left
of you. To get the gap, you will need to transfer off of the kicker on one end
of the planter on the right, execute a trick in the air, and come down on the
other kicker on the other side of the planter.
Sidewalk Transfer (1000 pts)
----------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level and follow the building on your right.
Turn right, right before the top of the ramp, and continue following the
building on your right until you get to the street. Ahead of you towards the
left, you will see two large quarterpipes separated by a set of stairs on the
other end of the street. To get the gap, you need to transfer up one
quarterpipe, execute a trick while in the air, and come down on the other
quarterpipe on the other side of the stairs.
Southside Transfer (500 pts)
----------------------------
Go forward from when your begin the level and follow the building on your
right. When you get to the top of the ramp and the end of the building on your
right, turn right and continue following the building on your right until you
get to the street. Then turn left and continue forward until you get to the
area directly after the big yellow Tour Bus. You will see two brown
quarterpipes separated by a concrete spacer in front of you on the corner of
the street. To get the gap just transfer up one quarterpipe, execute a trick
while in the air over the concrete spacer, and come down on the other
quarterpipe.
West Bench Grind Gap (1000 pts)
-------------------------------
When you begin the level turn left and continue to the other end of the
street. Look to your right and you will see two red benches on the side of the
street that you are on. To get the gap, hold a grind on the length of red
bench, jump over the little gap in between the benches, and hold a grind on
the bench after it.
Stair Gap (1500 pts)
--------------------
Go forward when you begin the level and follow the building on your right. At
the top of the ramp and end of the building on your right, take a right and
continue to follow the building on your right all the way to the street. At
the street, look towards your left and you will notice a set of stairs in
front of the building next to you with a kicker on either side of the stairs.
To get the gap, transfer up one kicker, execute a trick while in the air over
the stairs, and come down on the kicker on the other side of the stairs.
Insane Train Gap (5000 pts)
---------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level until you notice the building directly
ahead and to the left of you. Go up and come down the ramp on the side of this
building (you will be going left) and continue forward until you reach the
street. Take a right on the street and turn left towards the wall after you
pass the rail in the middle of the street (the rail and street will be on your
left). You will notice a ledge / ramp on your left while going towards the
wall (it will be right before the halfpipe area). To get the gap, get onto the
ledge and wait until the train passes, then go up the ramp and jump at the end
of the ramp, air over the tracks and execute a trick while in the air, and
then come down on the other side of the tracks.
Office Tower Grind Gap (1500 pts)
---------------------------------
Go to the area on the other side of the river. Once on the other side, go
right and follow the street until you get to the corner of the street and a
building. There will be a stairway ledge to the left of a stairway which will
be on your left. To get the gap, hold a grind up that stairway ledge, jump
over the gap at the end of the ledge, and land in a grind on the other side of
the gap on the ledge.
=====================
3-2: Grinds [3CHI]
=====================
Ridin' The Metro (1200 pts)
---------------------------
Go forward when you start the level until you get to the street. Follow the
street to your right until you get to an area where people are sitting down
drinking coffee in front of a building in the corner on your left. Look to
your right and you will notice the big yellow Tour Bus with a cement platform
on the right of it. There will also be a low long kicker on the ground as well
(somewhat in a z-shape). To get this gap you will need to transfer from the
kicker (the middle area of the z), land on the cement platform, and hold a
grind on either the side next to the Tour Bus or the side opposite it the
whole length.
Starfish Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Go left when you begin the level and continue until you get to the street.
Turn left again and go forward until you notice a red X-shaped sculpture on
the corner of the side of the street that you are on. To get the gap, go up to
the sculpture and grind the side to the left of the sidewalk and hold that
grind until you get to another section of the sidewalk. The section that you
need to grind will not be the section that will bring you up to the ledge, but
the other one.
Double By-Pass (1500 pts)
-------------------------
Go left when you begin the level until you reach the street. Look to your
right and you will notice a kicker on the sidewalk with two "bus stop
shelters" after it and a kicker on the other side of those "bus shelters". To
get the gap, transfer up the kicker, land in a grind on the left side of the
top of the first "bus stop shelter" and hold that grind on that shelter, on
the wire, and then to the other shelter.
South Side Rail (8000 pts)
--------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level all the way until you go to the other end
of the street to a building. Go left up the stairs and jump over the
turnstile, or you could do the Mini Awning Grind. Once on the platform next to
the train tracks you will be ready. To get the gap, hold a grind on the
leftmost side of the rail for about 6 or 7 seconds (you will be at least
halfway across the tracks). You can grind on the inside or outside of the
leftmost rail to get the gap.
By The Water Front (900 pts)
----------------------------
Go right when you begin the level past the red benches and then cross the
street to get to the toll booth. Go down the walkway to the left of the toll
booth down to the river. To get the gap, transfer up the kicker on the right
wall to a metal rail and hold a grind on the metal rail until the end.
Round The Bend (500 pts)
------------------------
Turn to your right when you start the level and go past the benches for the
North Bench Grind Gap and you will notice a rail leading to a wall with a
curve in it. To get the gap, you will need to hold a grind on the length of
the curved part of the wall.
Alley Cat (700 pts)
-------------------
Turn to your right when you start the level and go to the space in between the
two benches for the North Bench Grind Gap. Turn left into the alley. You will
see a drop in the alley with a ledge and two pieces of rail going to the other
side of the alley. To get the gap, you will need to hold a grind on the right
side length of ledge on your left to the other side of the alley (you will go
down and then up the alley).
Mochachino Grinder (800 pts)
----------------------------
Go forward from where you start the level until you reach the street. Go right
down the street until you get in front of the court house building on your
left. Go to the area on the right of this building. To get this gap, you will
need to hold a grind on the entire length of the ledge on your right.
Elbow Grind (900 pts)
---------------------
This gap will be in the area on the other side of the river. Once there, turn
left and follow the street and take a right at the corner when it turns. You
will notice on your right that there is a walkway going around the corner to
the left of the fountain. To get the gap, just grind either of the upper
ledges of this walkway from one side to the other.
Make-Out Point (900 pts)
------------------------
Turn left when you begin the level and continue until you get to the other end
of the street. Then take a left and continue forward all the way to the corner
of the street. In the corner go down the walkway on your left down towards the
river. Ahead of you will be a planter with a kicker on each side of it and a
rail above the whole thing. To get the gap, transfer up the kicker to a metal
rail, and hold a grind on the length of rail.
Steel-Toe Rail (800 pts)
------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level until you reach the bottom of the ramp.
Then take a left and head towards the building ahead of yourself. When you get
to it, turn right and continue forward until you reach the street. Turn around
and you will notice a rail that curves toward the right in front of you. To
get the gap, just hold a grind on that length of rail.
Mid-Town Cable (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level and take your first left at bridge. Go up
the ramp on left end of the bridge and then take a right through heli-pad from
the "Rider Down, Free the Medi-Vac Chopper" Amateur Goal and down to the ramp
on the other side. You will notice a wooden kicker in the forward right corner
of the rail. Transfer from that kicker to the kicker on the other building
over the gap (this would the Rooftop Transfer gap). On the other building,
continue forward to the top of the little ramp and take a right to the rail
and follow the rail to the right until you get to the corner. You will see a
red cable going from this corner of the rail over to a building. To get the
gap just grind the red cable to the building.
Chain Smokers Grind (1000 pts)
------------------------------
Turn to your left when you start the level. You will notice an alley with a
bench on the right side of the alley and two planters, a curved one on the
left wall and a rectangle one in the middle with three trees in it. In order
to get the gap, you will need to grind the whole length of the top of the
cement bench on the right side of the alley.
Tagger's Rail (900 pts)
-----------------------
Go forward when you begin the level until you get to the bottom of the ramp.
Then turn left and go up that ramp and down it and continue ahead to the
street. Take a right and then turn left after the rail in the middle of the
street until you get to the building. Turn left and you will go into an area
with a halfpipe and a rail along the wall next to the tracks. Go up the side
of the halfpipe on your right angled toward the left so that you will grind
left on the lip of that side of the halfpipe. To get the gap, transfer up to
the little piece of rail above that lip and hold a grind on it around the
corner to the end.
Uptown Cable (1000 pts)
-----------------------
When you begin the level look towards your left. There will be a ledge on the
side of the building to the left of you. The ledge will be right above the top
of the ramp that is going down. Grind that ledge to the end of the building
and continue up the cable that will be going over the street at the other end
of the ledge. You might have to jump and grind a few times to keep your speed
since the cable heads up. That will be the cable you will need to grind so if
you can grind to the top of that cable without jumping and grinding, you will
get the gap. If you did jump and grind, head to the other end of the cable to
the platform where the CD in this level will be on the other side. To get the
gap, turn around and then hold a grind on that red cable back down to the
building ledge.
Fountain Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------
This gap is in the secret area. Once there, notice the fountain directly ahead
of you. Just grind the fountain all the way around to get the gap.
Tour Bus Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Go forward when you start the level until you get to the street. Then follow
the street towards the right until you get to the area where people are
sitting down drinking coffee. Look to your right and you will see the big
yellow Tour Bus with a low long kicker (somewhat in a z-shape) straight ahead.
You will want to transfer from the kicker (the middle part of the z) onto the
cement platform slightly to your right which will be next to the bus. Once you
are on the cement platform next to the Tour Bus (where you will get the Ridin'
The Metro gap) you are almost there. Now just grind the side of the Tour Bus
opposite the platform you are on lengthwise to get the gap.
Hip Hugger Wallride Grind (700 pts)
-----------------------------------
Go forward from where you start until you reach the bottom of the ramp. You
will notice on your left a C-shaped curved wall (where you would get one of
the five tokens). What you need to do to get the gap is wallride up the edge
of the inside of the curved wall and hold a grind on the length of ledge on
the top of the wall (you need to grind most of the top ledge of the wall, so
if you don't get it, try to grind more of the ledge).
Entrance Stall (800 pts)
------------------------
Go forward when you begin this level and continue down to the bottom of the
ramp. Then turn left, go up and then down the ramp and continue forward to the
street. Turn left and then take another left into a cove in the building on
your left that will be through the middle of the two bus shelters for the
Double By Pass gap. In the cove will be a doorway with two quarterpipes, one
on each side of the doorway, and a rail above it all. To get the gap, transfer
up one quarterpipe and land in a stall on the rail above it.
North Corner Stall (800 pts)
----------------------------
Go right when you begin the level and then take a left at the bottom of the
ramp right before you get to the red benches. To get the gap, transfer up the
quarterpipe ahead of you and stall on the rail which will be above it.
Mini Awning Grind (1500 pts)
----------------------------
Go forward when you start the level and go past the Chain Smoker's Grind bench
and across the street until you reach a building. Look to your left and you
will notice a ledge to the stairway going up. To get this gap, you will need
to grind the ledge and jump before the end and land in a grind on the awning
after it and hold that grind. To get the gap, you just need to grind the
awning, but grinding the ledge too will help to get you up there.
Biggie Awning Grind (2000 pts)
------------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level and follow the building on your right
until you get to the top of the ramp and the end of the building on your
right. Then turn right and continue to follow the building on your right to
the street. Then cross the street and go up the stairs on the other side that
is between two quarterpipes (for the Sidewalk Transfer gap). At the top of the
stairs, you will notice a kicker on your left and right against the building.
To get the gap, transfer from the kicker on your left to a grind that you will
hold on the blue awning after it for the whole length.
Toll Side Rail (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Go right when you start the level and continue past the benches. Cross the
street and follow the rail on the right of the road to the toll booth. Left of
the toll booth will be a rail going down to the walkway next to the river. To
get this gap, you need to hold a grind on that rail.
South Curb Grind (2000 pts)
---------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level until you reach the other end of the
street. Then turn left and follow the sidewalk until you reach a ledge that
will be to the right of the sidewalk going around the corner (it will be part
of the front patio of the building on the corner). To get the gap, hold a
grind on that length of ledge.
Platform Stall (600 pts)
------------------------
Go forward when you begin to level and continue until you get to the other
side of the street. On your left will be the platform for the train and a
quarterpipe will lead up to it on the left side of the turnstiles. To get the
gap, transfer up the quarterpipe and stall on the gray lip of it.
==========================================
4: Boston, MA (18 gaps / grinds) [1BOS]
==========================================
For some of these gaps you will need to have opened the ship. In order to do
that, you will need to have gotten the key from the pelican in the "Catch The
Pelican" Amateur Goal. To get to this area you will need to turn left from
your starting point, go up either of the two ramps, go through the doorway
ahead of you, and into the next area. Then turn right and continue ahead until
you notice the open door near the end on your right. Go through that door, the
hallway, and transfer from the kicker at the end of the dock to the ship. Once
on the ship, go towards the middle mast and ride around. You should have
dropped a plank. This plank will be straight ahead of your starting point
between the two quarterpipes leading towards the ship. With that done, you can
go to the ship by going from the kicker to the ship, or by grinding the plank
to the ship.
=====================
4-1: 7 Gaps [2BOS]
=====================
Skin Chafer (5500 pts)
----------------------
Turn towards your right when you start. You will notice a small quarterpipe
with a picture of a pelican on it. To get this gap, you will need to transfer
from the pelican quarterpipe to the quarterpipe on the wooden platform to the
left of it while executing a trick over the water.
Double Ender (2000 pts)
-----------------------
To get this gap, turn towards your right when you start. You will notice a
long quarterpipe after the pelican quarterpipe. You need to transfer to your
right when you go off of the long quarterpipe to reach a small halfpipe area.
When you come down from the transfer, continue ahead and transfer to your
right again, but this time off of the small halfpipe and down onto the
opposite end of the pelican quarterpipe object where there is just enough area
to come down with a successful transfer.
Insane Port Transfer (5000 pts)
-------------------------------
To get this gap, go forward from where you start and transfer from the left
small quarterpipe to the small quarterpipe to the left and above that one that
will be on a ledge. From here, you will need to get some speed and transfer
from that quarterpipe to the quarterpipe on the right side of the quarterpipe
(which will be below and right of you) to the right side of the one you
transferred from (so you will need to transfer over one whole quarterpipe that
will be below and right of you and land down on the quarterpipe to the right
of that one) while executing a trick.
Port Skipper (2500 pts)
-----------------------
Turn to your right when you start and notice the long quarterpipe after the
pelican object. To get this gap, you need to go off of the left side of the
long quarterpipe and transfer to the left onto the small wooden halfpipe
object while doing a trick over the water.
The Minho (800 pts)
-------------------
To get this gap, you need to turn towards your right from where you start and
transfer from the long quarterpipe to the left onto the small wooden halfpipe.
Once you come down from the small wooden halfpipe (which will be the Port
Skipper gap), continue forward and transfer from that end of the small wooden
halfpipe while executing a trick over the water and come down on the wooden
halfpipe after it.
Northern Lights Gap-Grind (1500 pts)
------------------------------------
Turn to your left from where you start and go up either of the ramps directly
ahead of you. Continue up the ramp and go through the doorway into the next
area. Once in there, go to either your left or right until you notice a ramp
leading up another level and go to the top of the ramp. Shortly after going up
the ramp, you will notice a small gap in between the yellow railing on your
left. Looking a little closer you will also notice a light fixture directly
ahead of that gap. What you will need to do is to transfer from the balcony
and land in a grind on the light fixture. Once grinding the light fixture, you
will need to jump over two more gaps to get to the next two light fixtures.
Upon your second jump-and-grind from light fixture to light fixture, you
should have gotten the gap. If not, try it again.
Sea Biscuit (700 pts)
---------------------
To get this gap, go forward from where you start and transfer from either of
the two quarterpipes ahead of you to the other that was ahead of you while
executing a trick between them. This would also be how you should have gotten
the CD in this level.
========================
4-2: 11 Grinds [3BOS]
========================
Crescent Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Turn to your right when you start the level and go forward until you reach the
long quarterpipe. Once there, while at a stop, go up the quarterpipe and go
forward to land on a little ledge at the top of the long quarterpipe (if you
went to fast, you will fall into the water, so stop and then go up). While
looking out on the sea, you will notice a U-shaped rail going out to the sea
from the left of the long quarterpipe and coming back on the right of the long
quarterpipe. Just grind this rail to get the gap.
Planter Grind (900 pts)
-----------------------
Turn to your left when you start the level and go up either of the two ramps.
At the top of the ramp, go through the doorway into the next area and look to
your forward right. You will notice a little cement hump with ledges on both
sides of it. To get the gap, you need to grind the ledge closest to the wall
of that object.
Lobster Tail (500 pts)
----------------------
Go forward and slightly to your right when you start the level. You will go
down some steps to a dock (this is one part of where you can defeat the giant
squid). You will notice a rope on the right hand side of the dock. Just grind
that section of rope from the dock to the pier, or from the pier to the dock
to get the gap.
Hook (500 pts)
--------------
Turn to your left from where you start and go up either ramp, through the
doorway, and into the next area. Continue forward and turn to your left to go
around the small wooden spine. While going around the spine, you will notice a
place called The Fish Hook. There will be a hook hanging above this place. Now
this is the difficult part. It might take you a few tries just to be able to
see how to do it, but believe me, you can do it. Once facing the building, you
will notice two narrow kickers on each side of the building. This is the
tricky part. You need to go up the kicker and to the level ledge in between
the two kickers. Now, while staying still, you need to aim your rider for a
wallride on the wall that the hook is on and go for the wallride towards the
hook. If you are going slow enough, you won't grind the rail above the hook,
but the hook itself. If you are grinding the hook, hold that grind for the
short distance of the hook and you will get the gap.
Keelhaul Grind (2500 pts)
-------------------------
This gap is on the ship. Once on the ship, you will notice a rail bordering
the whole ship. You must grind the rail on the front of the ship to get this
gap. Go to the back end of the ship (the area closest to the kicker transfer).
To get the gap, while facing the front of the ship (the Keelhaul), grind on
either the left or right hand rail, jump over the little gap, and continue to
hold the grind until right before you get to another gap.
Walkin' The Plank (1000 pts)
----------------------------
This gap is on the ship. Once on the ship, go towards the front of the ship
(the side closest to the plank, with a wooden point coming out of it). At the
front of the ship, you will notice a small quarterpipe with a mast behind it.
You need to go up the quarterpipe with a little bit of speed at an angle to
your right and land in a grind on the beam of the mast. As soon as you land
in a grind, transfer to your left onto the other beam. Hold this grind the
whole way to get the gap.
Poop Deck (1200 pts)
--------------------
This gap is on the ship. Once on the ship, go to the front of it. The front of
it will have a wooden point going out from it. Once there you need to grind on
either the left or right side rail towards the back of the ship (Poop Deck),
jump over the little gap, and to get the gap, continue to hold the grind on
the wooden rail, until you reach another gap.
East Side Rail (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Turn to your left from where you start and go up either ramp, through the
doorway, and into the next area. Once there, turn right and continue forward,
go up the ramp at the end, and get to the upper balcony. Once there, go
forward a little bit and look behind you. You will notice a rail on the right
side along the wall above the ramp you came up. You need to grind this whole
rail in order to get the gap.
West Side Rail (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Turn to your left from where you start and go up either ramp, through the
doorway, and into the next area. Once there, turn left and continue forward,
up the ramp at the end, and onto the upper balcony. Once there, go forward a
little bit and turn around. You will notice a rail on your left side on the
wall above the ramp that you just came up. You need to grind this whole rail
in order to get the gap.
The Captains Log (800 pts)
--------------------------
This gap is a stall on the ship. Once there, turn right and go towards the
front of the ship. At the front of the ship, you will notice a small
quarterpipe with a mast right behind it. You need to go straight up the
quarterpipe and land in a stall on the beam of the mast to get the gap.
The Plank (800 pts)
-------------------
This gap is a stall on the ship. Once on the ship, go to the center area of it
with the little halfpipe. If you are looking at the pier, you will need to go
up the left hand side of the halfpipe and stall on the beam of that mast to
get the gap.
===============================================
5: New Orleans, LA (13 gaps / grinds) [1NOR]
===============================================
For some of these gaps you will need to have opened the bayou area. You will
be able to open the bayou area by doing the "Get The Skeleton Key To The
Bayou" Amateur Goal. This area will be through the gate behind you from where
you start.
=====================
5-1: 6 Gaps [2NOR]
=====================
Pinching Tail (700 pts)
-----------------------
When you start the level, go into the bayou area directly behind you and take
a left on the grass or the walkway with rails along it and continue forward
until you notice a long quarterpipe on the right if you took the dirt path,
or on the left if you took the walkway. Go to the long quarterpipe and notice
that a bridge spanning sideways and two small quarterpipes are opposite it.
You will need to go up the longer quarterpipe, catch some air, and come down
the quarterpipe. To get the gap, with the little bit of speed that you have,
go up one of the two smaller quarterpipes, get some air, transfer over the
space between the two quarterpipes while doing an aerial trick, and come down
on the other smaller quarterpipe.
The Big Easy (300 pts)
----------------------
Go into the bayou area and turn left. Follow the buildings until you notice a
wooden halfpipe and quarterpipe next to each other up against the building.
You need to transfer from the quarterpipe, do a trick while transferring, and
land down on the halfpipe or vice-versa.
Swamp Foot Gap (500 pts)
------------------------
To get this gap, you will need to go into the bayou behind you from where you
start. Once in the bayou, take a left on the grass or the walkway with rails
along it. Go forward until you notice a long quarterpipe on your right going
left to right (if you took the grass path) or on your left (if you took the
walkway). Go to this quarterpipe, face it, and then look to your right (this
will put the long quarterpipe on your left). You will notice a dirt mound.
Directly after this mound will be a swamp with another mound right after that.
To get the gap, you need to jump from the mound with a little bit of air, do a
trick over the swamp, and land on the mound on the other side of the swamp.
Bar Hobbing (1000 pts)
----------------------
Go forward and right of your starting point to get to the other area of this
level. Notice a quarterpipe on the left and right wall of this area. Transfer
from either quarterpipe to a quarterpipe that will be on the roof right next
to it. Keeping your speed, continue on until you notice two small spines with
nothing but empty space between them. Transfer up one spine, execute a trick
while in the air, and land down on the other spine on the other side of the
street to get this gap.
Bayou Transfer (600 pts)
------------------------
This gap is right where you start. Go forward some from where you start and
look back at the starting point. To get the gap, you need to have some speed
and go up one quarterpipe, transfer over the space doing a trick, and come
down on the opposite quarterpipe.
Alter Gap (300 pts)
-------------------
Go to your front right to get to the other area of this level. Continue
forward to the opposite end of this area until you reach a wall. Look to the
left or right while facing the wall and notice a quarterpipe along the wall
and a kicker with a ledge that also ends in a kicker in this area. The kicker
object is the alter. You need to go up a quarterpipe on the left or right side
of this area, catch some air, come back down, and with your speed continue to
the alter. To get the gap, jump from one kicker, do a trick while in the air,
and come down on the other kicker opposite the one you used to get the gap.

5-2: 7 Grinds [3NOR]
=======================
Wishbone Rail (700 pts)
-----------------------
Once you begin, go forward and to your right into the other area of this
level. Continue straight through until you see a high quarterpipe leading to
the platform with the statue. The high quarterpipe will have a black rail
going from one side of the quarterpipe, behind it, and to the other side of
the quarterpipe. To get this gap, grind this rail.
Chicken Shack Grind (900 pts)
-----------------------------
If you have already collected the five voodoo dolls, you will know where this
gap is and probably already did too. It is located on the rail where the
voodoo doll is in the bayou (the chicken shack). Go into the bayou area and
take the dirt path on your right going straight. Jump over the swamp and
continue until you reach a wooden corner quarterpipe. Once there, continue on
and notice a shack on the right side of the path. You will need to transfer
from the dirt mound by jumping and then land in a grind on the rail of the
porch. Don't land in a grind on the floor of the shack porch or you will not
get the gap and have to try it again so try to press and hold the triangle
button right after the porch floor, but before you reach the rail. To get the
gap, hold a grind on the porch rail.
Warpwood Grind (800 pts)
------------------------
Go to the bayou area behind you from where you start. Then you should go left
either on the walkway or the grass until you get to a long quarterpipe on your
left (if you took the walkway) or on your right (if you took the grass path).
Once directly facing the long quarterpipe, look to your left. You will notice
the wooden rail on the walkway and another wooden rail lower than the wooden
rail on the walkway. Grind the lower curving rail to get the gap.
Banyon Tree Stall (900 pts)
---------------------------
Once you begin the level, face behind yourself and go into the bayou area.
Then take a left on the grass or walkway. Go forward until you notice a long
quarterpipe on your right (if you took the grass path) or on your left (if you
took the walkway. Go to this quarterpipe and face it. Above this quarterpipe
are two banyon trees. You will need to use the branch on the right side of the
left tree for this stall. Face backwards, go up the right quarterpipe of the
two smaller ones, catch some air, and come down. To get the gap, keeping your
speed, continue to the long quarterpipe, go up it to the right of the trunk of
the banyon tree, and press and hold the triangle button right before you reach
the branch to stall.
Rhythm Rail (800 pts)
---------------------
Once you begin the level go forward until you see a platform with a jazz band
playing on it. Go to the left or right of the platform and notice a black
rail. This rail will curve into the platform and back to the same side that
you decide to grind. To get the gap, grind the length of either rail.
Short Rail (300 pts)
--------------------
Go forward and to your right to get to the other side of this level. Once
here, go to the left or right wall. Notice the quarterpipes right next to the
walls. Go up the quarterpipe and transfer to the quarterpipe which is on the
roof directly next to it. Then continue from the roof quarterpipe and start to
grind on the roof rail directly next to the roof quarterpipe. There will be
two sets of quarterpipes separated by the street on your left if you took the
right quarterpipe or to the right if you took the left quarterpipe. You will
need to grind the short rail going over the street spanning the two other
rails (one of which you grind). To get the gap, jump from a roof rail to the
short rail and hold a grind on the short rail.
Long Wood (500 pts)
-------------------
To get this gap, go into the bayou area and take the dirt path to the right of
you or the walkway ahead of you and go forward until you can see a log on the
ground to the left of a dirt mound or to the right of the walkway. To get the
gap, grind the length of the log.

6: Las Vegas, NV (18 gaps / grinds) [1LVE]
=============================================
===================
6-1: Gaps [2LVE]
===================
Bling Bling (1500 pts)
----------------------
When you start the level, turn to your right and go up and then back down the
platform and go past Groovy Movie. Once past Groovy Movie, you will notice
another building on your right. Go up to the entrance of the building and
there will be a set of stairs leading to a doorway. On each side of the stairs
is a small quarterpipe. To get this gap, transfer up one small quarterpipe,
over the stairs executing a trick, and come down on the other small
quarterpipe.
Lil' Ballah (500 pts)
---------------------
When you start the level, turn to your left and ride down the street past the
Vegas Archway. Keep going down the street (not through the archway) until you
see a yellowish white building on your left called Ballah's (in blue). Go all
the way to the other end of the building and you will notice a medium-sized
quarterpipe next to the building (it is actually two small quarterpipes as
one). Go up one side of the medium-sized quarterpipe and come down the other
end of the medium-sized quarterpipe to get the gap (or up one small
quarterpipe and down the other small quarterpipe).
Slots O' Luck (500 pts)
-----------------------
When you start the level, go forward, jump over the planter or go around it,
get into the pool, and continue going forward to the other side. You will
notice a purple building called Slots O' Luck. Underneath the sign is a small
roll-in going into the pool. To get this gap, transfer up the side of the pool
on one side of the roll-in, execute a trick over the roll-in, and come down in
the pool on the other side of the roll-in.
Shake'm Up Shake's (600 pts)
----------------------------
You will need to do this gap at least three times in this level so I don't
think that I need to explain this one, but I will to keep it complete. You
need to do this gap when you Roll The Dice, Find the Coaster Tickets, and When
you look for the Slot Tokens. When you start the level, go forward, jump over
or go around the planter, and cut through the pool area until you get all the
way to the other side. You will notice a green building ahead of you call
Snake Eye's. There will be a small quarterpipe against the left wall of the
building. To get this gap, go up that small quarterpipe, and transfer to your
right to another small quarterpipe that is above that one.
Insane Street Transfer (6000 pts)
---------------------------------
This gap is a little difficult to get, but listen up. Go up and execute the
Shake'm up Shake's gap to get onto the top platform of Snake Eye's. Once
there, turn around and grind the green roof ledge of Snake Eye's on your left
to the end and transfer to the platform ledge on the next building. Now go
around the corner of the building, stay on the platform, and notice the small
quarterpipe to the right of the Gamble Shack sign. To get the gap, you need to
transfer from this small quarterpipe to your left, over the street executing a
trick, and come down on the small quarterpipe on the other end of the street
(which is next to Ballah's).
High Roller!! (2000 pts)
------------------------
Once you start the level take a left and continue down the road until you
reach the Vegas Archway that you had to Icepick Grind. To get this gap
transfer up the long quarterpipe underneath the archway, over the street
executing a trick, and come down on the quarterpipe on the other side of the
street.
Pool Transfer (500 pts)
-----------------------
When you start the level, go forward and jump over the planter or go around it
and get into the pool area. Turn around and look behind yourself and you will
notice a small roll-in separating the edges of the pool. This will be where
you get one of the coaster tickets. To get the gap go up the side of the pool
on one end of the small roll-in, transfer over the roll-in executing a trick,
and come down the other side of the pool on the other side of the roll-in.
=====================
6-2: Grinds [3LVE]
=====================
Martinis (800 pts)
------------------
When you begin the level, go forward and jump over or go around the planter.
Then continue forward through the pool area and up to the green Snake Eye's
building. Do the Shake'm Up Shake's gap. On the Snake Eye's roof platform look
towards where you came from and you will notice a small quarterpipe. Go up the
quarterpipe and catch some air. When you come back down notice the green neon
pipe on the left hand wall. Grind up that pipe, jump to the next two landing
in a grind and hold it so that you can grind on the area where you rolled the
dice as a goal. You might have to jump to the next neon green pipe after that,
but keep grinding the pipes and jumping until you get down to the bottom.
Ahead you will notice a neon sign of a martini on the wall with neon green
pipe on it, too. Now you just have to jump before you reach the end of the
last pipe and land in a grind on the martini pipe to get the gap.
Shot Caller! (1000 pts)
-----------------------
When you start the level, turn to your left and go down the street past the
Vegas Archway. Continue past the Vegas Archway (not through the archway) until
you notice a yellowish white building on your left called Ballah's (in blue).
You will notice that there are two steps to the building that go the whole
length of the building. Grind the whole stair that is closest to the building
to get this gap.
Booth Grind (1000 pts)
----------------------
Turn right from your start point and go up the ramp of the platform. At the
top of the ramp take a left to the end of that part of the platform. Now take
a right, but stop before you get to the top of the ramp ahead going down. You
need to jump over the left side of the platform where you are at and land on
the building to the left and against the platform. Now go to either side of
the edge of the building and grind the edge until you get the gap.
Tap the Deck (600 pts)
----------------------
When you start the level, go forward and jump over the planter ahead of you or
go around it. Continue forward through the pool area and get to the other side
of it. You will notice a green building called Snake Eye's. You will notice a
two green steps in front of the building (One long and one small). Grind the
length of the small step (which is closest to the building) to get the gap.
Ace's High let'em Fly (1000 pts)
--------------------------------
Go right from your start point up the platform. Before you reach the top,
keeping your speed, jump over the right edge of the platform and you should
have landed on a platform above the chapel. Grind that ledge forward and
transfer to a grind on the next ledge. Now hold that grind to the end of the
ledge to get the gap.
Groovy Stall (700 pts)
----------------------
From where you start, take a right down the road past Ace's High. The building
afterwards should be Groovy Movie. There will be a small quarterpipe on the
left side of the building right against the wall. Go up that quarterpipe and
stall on the pipe above it for the gap. Make sure that you use the quarterpipe
on the left side of Groovy Movie closest to the street.
Schlepp Stall (700 pts)
-----------------------
As soon as you begin the level look to your left. You will notice a small
quarterpipe against the wall of Schlepp's with a rail above it. Transfer up
the small quarterpipe and land in a stall on the pipe above it for the gap.
Twenty Inch Blades (1500 pts)
-----------------------------
When you start the level, turn to your left and continue down the road past
the Vegas Archway. You will notice a yellowish white building called Ballah's
(in blue) on your left. Right before the building are three small bowls
connected together as one misshapen bowl. Grind the edge of these bowls and
hold the grind until you get the gap.
East Ring Planter (500 pts)
---------------------------
When you start the level go forward and jump over or go around the planter.
Continue into the pool area and you will notice a yellow sign ahead and to the
right of you with a picture on it that says "Ride the Lightning". This is
where you got one of the rings to deliver to the chapel. Grind lengthwise on
one of the edges of this planter and you will get the gap.
West Ring Planter (500 pts)
---------------------------
When you start the level, go forward and jump over or go around the planter.
Continue going forward and you will notice a yellow sign that has a picture on
it with the phrase "Ride the Lightning" directly ahead of you. This is where
you got one of the rings to deliver to the chapel. Grind lengthwise on one of
the edges of this planter and you will get the gap.
Double Down (1000 pts)
----------------------
This gap will be right next to where you would get the CD in this level. When
you start turn to your left and continue along the wall on your left until
right before you reach the patio area of the brown casino with the dragons on
each side of it. You will need to go up the ramp right next to the dragons and
launch onto the platform above the doors of the casino. If you are there, you
will notice a quarterpipe next to you with a raised platform with a
quarterpipe and a kicker next to that quarterpipe. Transfer up that
quarterpipe to the quarterpipe on the raised platform above that one and
keeping your speed transfer from the kicker to a raised platform on top of the
platform above the patio of the casino. On that platform, grind the line to
the top of the RC billboard sign which will be where you get the CD. Now look
back at the line you came up on. To get the gap, grind the length of either of
the lines from the RC billboard sign to the raised platform at the other end.
===============================================
7: Los Angeles, CA (17 gaps / grinds) [1LAN]
===============================================
Some of these gaps will be in the hotel area. You can open this area by doing
the "Help Mrs. Van Doodles Find Her Poodles" Semi-Pro Goal. Once you start go
forward into the street and turn left down the street. Before you reach the
roadblock, take another left down that street. The hotel will be on your right
with the doors open. If you haven't done the "Help Mrs. Van Doodles Find Her
Poodles" Semi-Pro Goal, you can also get into the hotel, but it isn't as easy.
Go forward from your start point, turn left, and continue until you reach the
roadblock. Take another left down that road and the hotel will be on your
right. Continue forward until you get to the gap after the planters in front
of the hotel. Take a right into that area and drop down into the halfpipe
there. Go up the halfpipe side you are facing, catch some air, come back down,
go up the other end of the halfpipe, catch some air, come back down, and
keeping your built up speed, go up the original side at an angle towards your
right and land in a grind on the ledge above that side of the halfpipe.
Continue to grind the ledge and tap your R1 button to line up with the other
ledge and land in a grind on that ledge. Once near the end, there will be no
wall on your left. This is when you jump to your left and powerslide with your
R1 + Down buttons. You should have made a dead stop. Once on this platform,
drop down into the hotel. If you don't land in a grind on the second ledge,
but don't fall off of the ledge either, you can just ride the ledge (don't
press the left or right direction buttons, but if you do, make sure to also
press and hold the triangle button to grind and also powerslide with the R1 +
Down buttons after you jump to your left before the platform) and turn left
into a platform and drop into the hotel. This tactic is very difficult and can
be frustrating, so I will recommend to "Help Mrs. Van Doodles Find Her
Poodles" in order to get into the hotel.
===================
7-1: Gaps [2LAN]
===================
Hotel Stair Transfer (1500 pts)
-------------------------------
This gap is in the hotel. Ride forward from where you start and go left in the
street until you reach the roadblock. Then get into the hotel. Once in the
hotel look around in the middle of the hotel until you see the stairs. They
should be right in front of the doors inside the hotel. When you do see them,
you will notice one small quarterpipe on each side of the stairs. Your must
transfer from one quarterpipe, over the stairs executing a trick, and come
down on the other quarterpipe to get the gap.
Brickwall Transfer (800 pts)
----------------------------
Go forward from where you start and get into the road. Turn around and go to
the other end of the sculpture. You will notice two small quarterpipes with an
awning in between them directly ahead of you (you will need to do a perfect
360 Alley-Oop Can Can over this awning for a goal). You will need to transfer
from the left hand quarterpipe, over the wall towards the left executing a
trick, and come down the quarterpipe on the other side of the wall to get this
gap. (You will be in an area where you get Vanessa, one of the five poodles,
and where you start the grind on the white house rail.)
Down Hill Street Transfer (2000 pts)
------------------------------------
Go forward from where you start, get into the street, turn around, and go
towards the other end of the sculpture. Once there, look to you right and you
will see a stairway. Go down those stairs and continue going forward. You will
notice that there are two small quarterpipes directly to the left of the hotel
on both sides of the street. You need to transfer from one quarterpipe, over
the street executing a trick, and come down on the other quarterpipe on the
other end of the street to get the gap.
EZ Tabletop Gap (300 pts)
-------------------------
Go forward from where you start and continue to the area on the other side of
the wall. You will notice a stairway with three rails going down it. You will
notice that a tabletop is in this area (this is where you would get one of the
five cell phones). You need to go up one of the quarterpipes on either side of
the tabletop, catch some air, and while coming down, keep your speed and
transfer from one end of the tabletop, execute a trick, and come down on the
other end of the tabletop to get the gap.
Big Air Street Gap (600 pts)
----------------------------
Go forward into the street, turn around, and go to the other side of the
sculpture. You will notice two small quarterpipes with an awning in between
them (you will need to do a perfect 360 Alley-Oop Can Can over this awning for
a goal). Go towards the quarterpipes, but stop right before you reach them.
Look to your right and you will notice a narrow alleyway in between two
buildings (this is the alley where you would jump from a short ramp to get the
CD in this level). Go through the alleyway with some speed, catch some air at
the end of the alleyway while executing a trick and you should get this gap.
(If you do a trick while getting the CD, you should be able to get this gap
also.)
Street Light Grind-Gap (1200 pts)
---------------------------------
Go into the street once you start. Turn around and go towards the other end of
the sculpture. When you get to the other end, turn to your right and you will
notice a stairway with a corner quarterpipe on it's right hand side. Between
the stairway and the corner quarterpipe is a tongue in the ground. What you
will need to do to get the gap is to go off of the tongue, catch some air, and
land in a grind on the street light directly in front you or the tongue.
Stairway Grind-Gap (1200 pts)
-----------------------------
Go forward from where you start and into the street. Go towards the right and
into the patio area with two quarterpipes on each side wall after the
fountain. Once there, look behind you and to the left to notice the tabletop
area (where you would get one of the five cell phones and the EZ Tabletop
gap). What you need to do is grind the ledge on the right hand side of the
stairway with the three rails, jump over the gap at the end of this ledge, and
land in a grind on the ledge of the planter directly ahead of you to get the
gap.
Hotel Planter Grind-Gap (700 pts)
---------------------------------
This gap is in front of the hotel. When you start this level, go forward from
where you start and into the street, turn around, and go to the other end of
the sculpture. Once there, turn right and go down the stairs, into the street
and turn right. The hotel will be on your left hand side. Once at the hotel,
you will notice a planter on each side of the doorway of the hotel. You must
grind one planter and transfer to the other planter landing in a grind to get
the gap.
Roadblock Grind-Gap (900 pts)
-----------------------------
Get into the street from where you start and go towards the left. You will be
going towards a roadblock. What you will need to do is to grind the roadblock
and then jump at the end and land in a grind on the ledge right after the
roadblock. This gap will work going left or right on the roadblock, but the
hard part is landing in a grind on the ledge after the roadblock.
Patio Table Transfer (800 pts)
------------------------------
Get into the street once you start, turn around, and go to the other end of
the sculpture. You will notice two small quarterpipes with an awning in
between them (you will need to do a perfect 360 Alley-Oop Can Can over this
awning). What you will need to do is to transfer from the left hand
quarterpipe, over the wall, and come down on the quarterpipe on the other side
of the wall. This would be the Brick Wall Transfer, but without the trick
going over the wall. You will be in the area where Vanessa is sitting at a
table and there will be another table there too. What you need to do is to
transfer over the other empty table, which is next to the quarterpipe that you
came into this area on. Transfer from one quarterpipe, over the patio table
while executing a trick, and coming down on the quarterpipe on the other side
of the patio table.
=====================
7-2: Grinds [3LAN]
=====================
Fountain Crest Grind (700 pts)
------------------------------
Go forward from and go to your forward right towards the fountain. You need to
hold a grind around the whole outside of the fountain in order to get the gap.
Insane Topside Ledge Pool Stall (2000 pts)
------------------------------------------
Before you begin the level notice the pool on your left. This is your area. Go
forward from where you start and go to the pool which will be on your left.
Drop into the pool and look to your right. Facing right, go up that edge of
the pool, catch some air, come back down, and continue to go up the other side
of the pool (when you go up the other side, there will be a building along
that edge of the pool). To get the gap, when you go up the other side of the
pool, you need to press and hold the triangle button right after the bottom
ledge and right before you reach the top ledge to land in a stall. There are
two ledges above the pool and you must stall on the top one to get the gap.
Pool Grind (1000 pts)
---------------------
Before you begin the level, notice the pool on your left. This is where you
need to go. Go forward from where you start and go over to the pool. You need
to grind from one end of the outside edge of the pool to the other end of the
outside edge of the pool to get the gap.
Tabletop Ledge Grind (800 pts)
------------------------------
Go forward from where you start and get into the area on the other side of the
wall with a stairway with three rails going down it. Once there you will
notice a tabletop right next to the wall (you will get one of the five
cellphones here) and in between two quarterpipes. What you must do is transfer
up from the tabletop to the higher ledge (the one above the wall that is next
to the tabletop (it will be the length of the brick next to the wall so time
your grind right)) and grind the whole ledge in order to get the gap.
Northridge Rail (650 pts)
-------------------------
This grind gap is in the hotel. Once in the hotel, you must grind the rail on
the opposite side of the doorway. To do this you must get into the center area
of the hotel. Look around the area and you will notice a ledge circle around
you broken into four parts. Two of the gaps will have a rail in between them.
You need to grind the ledge circle that is opposite the stairs. To get the
gap, go up one end of the ledge circle going away from the stairs, jump before
reaching the rail, land in a grind on the edge of the rail, and hold that
grind until the end of the rail. You will receive the gap if you held your
grind on the whole rail.
Southridge Rail (650 pts)
-------------------------
This grind gap is in the hotel. Once in the hotel, you must grind the rail
that is above the stairway. In the center of the hotel, look around and you
will notice a ledge circle going around you broken into four parts. Two of the
gaps will have a rail in between it. You need to grind the ledge circle next
to the stairs. To get the gap, go up one side of the ledge circle towards the
stairs, jump before you reach the rail, land in a grind on the edge of the
rail, and hold that grind until the end of the rail. You will receive the gap
if you held your grind on the whole rail.
Insane Awning Stall (4200 pts)
------------------------------
This is by far, the most difficult gap in the game. It will take you at least
a few tries to be able to get it. Go forward from where you start and get into
the street, turn around , and go to the area where you must complete the
perfect 360 Alley-Oop Can Can over the awning. Your goal now is to get to the
second set of awnings above the one that you must transfer over in order to
get that goal. This is difficult because it is so high up there. It will make
things a lot easier for you if you catch a lot of speed before going for the
stall. I do this by going to the patio area where you get Vanessa and the
Patio Table Transfer. I will start on the red brick quarterpipe used for the
Patio Table Transfer. I will get major air off of it and with my speed still
going, I will go up the small gray quarterpipe not used for the Patio Table
Transfer and catch big air off of that one too. Coming down on that
quarterpipe I will try to straighten my rider out to go off of the quarterpipe
directly across from that one. When I do go off of that quarterpipe, I will do
the Brickwall Transfer with big air. When I come down the quarterpipe for it,
I will go to the quarterpipe next to that one without making a sharp turn in
order to keep all of my built up speed. When you launch off of that
quarterpipe, you should be able to get enough air to do your stall. Remember
to press and hold the triangle button right before you reach the awning.
Remember that this gap will take several tries. It took me about two or three
tries the first time, and then about an hour the second time. The things I
will try to do for my readers:)
============================================
8: Portland, OR (23 gaps / grinds) [1POR]
============================================
Some of these gaps will be on the other side of the river that you start on.
You can get there by doing the "Bridge the River, Take Down The Old Tree"
Semi-Pro Goal. When you start go forward and follow the mountain on your left
all the way to the river. Once there, you will need to grind the fallen old
tree between the wooden fence and the mountain to the other side of the river.
If you haven't done that goal, you can also get to that area. Go forward when
you start and grind the wooden fence after the break in it. If you hold that
grind you will fall down from that grind onto a grind on the mountain cliff.
If you hold that grind, you will fall down onto a grind on another mountain
cliff beneath that one. If you hold that grind, you will do the Cliff Grind
gap. Near the end of that cliff will be a waterfall. Jump right before you get
to the waterfall to get onto a path into the mountain cave. Go forward and
right and go onto the path along the cave wall on your right. Follow that
path, transfer off of the tongue into the tunnel and follow the tunnel to get
to the area.
===================
8-1: Gaps [2POR]
===================
Insane Grind Gap (2500 pts)
---------------------------
Once you start this level, turn to your left and go down the path downhill
bordered by the wooden fence. When you go down the path, you will notice two
logs on your left on the ground. The log furthest away from you goes out over
the cliff. All that you need to do to get the gap is grind that log the whole
way, jump before the end of it, and land down in a grind on the wooden fence
ahead of you along the Snow Lodge walkway.
Cave Gap (400 pts)
------------------
When you begin, go forward and grind the wooden fence ahead of you. Continue
to grind and you will fall down on a grind on a mountain ledge. Continue
grinding forward and you will fall down again onto another mountain ledge. If
you hold that grind you will get the Cliff Grind gap. Continue forward and
jump right before you reach the waterfall and you will be in the mountain
cave. Once in the cave, go on the walkway along the wall on your right and
follow the path towards the left. You will soon notice a tongue at the end of
your path. To get the gap, transfer off of the tongue, execute a trick while
in the air, and land down on either the cave floor or in the tunnel ahead of
you. I recommend the tunnel ahead of you since you can get the Tunnel Grind
gap as well if you grind inside of that tunnel you landed in ahead of the
tongue.
Mountain Gap (1000 pts)
-----------------------
This gap is in the area on the other side of the river. On the other side of
the river, follow the mountain inland to a fence. Once you notice the fence,
go to the other side of it and go towards your right to the top of the hill.
Once there, transfer off of the kicker at the end of the path, execute a trick
while in the air, and land down on the other kicker, or if you didn't have
enough speed, land down by the billboard U-shaped quarterpipe to get the gap.
Dirt Track Transfer (1000 pts)
------------------------------
This gap is in the area on the other side of the river. Once you get to the
other side of the river, follow the mountain inland and you will soon notice
three medium-sized quarterpipes on your left. To get the gap, transfer from
one of the two quarterpipes on your left, execute a trick while in the air,
and come down on the other quarterpipe on your left. I don't think that the
quarterpipe on the right can be used to get this gap because of extensive
tries and incompletions of the gap. It would be difficult anyways because of
the trees in front of the quarterpipe.
Squirrel Jump (800 pts)
-----------------------
When you start the level, look to your left and go down the path going
downhill bordered by two wooden fences. The path will lead towards the left.
Towards the end of the path, you will notice a dirt kicker. All that you have
to do to get the gap is transfer off of the kicker, execute a trick while in
the air, and land down on the grass.
Insane Cliff Dive! (1000 pts)
-----------------------------
When you start, go forward and through the gap in the wooden fence ahead and
slightly to the left of you. Continue down that path and you will soon notice
a kicker at the end of it. All that you have to do to get the gap is transfer
off of the kicker, execute a trick while in the air, and land. This is a prime
spot to do the Pro Goal "Do a 540 NoHanded Front Flip". This is where I do it
at least.
Ski-Lift Gap (800 pts)
----------------------
When you start, get to the Snow Lodge at the bottom of the hill. Once there,
go up the rock ramp to the walkway of the Snow Lodge. While looking at the
lodge, turn left and head towards the fence while passing the three benches on
your left. Once you reach the fence look to your left. You will see that this
is the bottom of the ski-lift. To get the gap head along the walkway with a
fence on your left and right and the ski-lift on the path and transfer off of
the kicker at the end, do a trick while in the air, and land on the platform
on the other side with the curving rail and fence on it.
Snow Lodge Transfer (600 pts)
-----------------------------
Get down to the Snow Lodge at the bottom of the hill. Once there you will see
the tree of WOE, a small spine, a longer spine, two small quarterpipes, and
the Snow Lodge with its railings, walkways, and benches. To get the gap, go up
to the rock ramp in front of the Snow Lodge and transfer up the left or right
quarterpipe next to the ramp, go over the ramp executing a trick, and land on
the quarterpipe on the opposite side of the ramp.
Mountain Spring Gap (400 pts)
-----------------------------
When you start the level, go forward and follow the mountain cliff all the way
until you reach a river. Once there, go right to follow the river. You will
notice that there is a gap in between the wooden fence on your left. Right
where the gap is, there will be a spring going into the river from a hole in
the rock on your right. To get the gap, jump over the water (going from the
rock on your right through the gap in the fence on your left) while executing
a trick.
Rock Transfer (1500 pts)
------------------------
This gap is at the other side of the river. Once on the other side of the
river, take a right after the fence(if your grind the tree) or a left before
the fence (if you came from the tunnel) and follow the fence all the way to
the end. You will notice near the end on your left, a long quarterpipe, a big
rock, and a long U-shaped quarterpipe. The rock will be in between the two
quarterpipes. To get the gap, transfer from one quarterpipe, over the rock
executing a trick, and come down on the other quarterpipe.

8-2: Grinds [3POR]
=====================
The Hook Up (750 pts)
---------------------
When you start this level, go forward until you get to a short rock ledge with
a broken wooden fence on it (before the drop). To get the gap, grind the
length of the rock ledge with the other half of the broken fence on it before
getting to the drop.
The Source (850 pts)
--------------------
When you start this level go forward until you notice the broken fence and
follow the fence and then the mountain forward to the river. Once at the end
of the mountain, you will notice a wooden fence directly after it (and the
fallen tree if you bridged the river). To get this gap you will need to go
right next to the river by going through the gap in between the fence and
mountain and grind and hold the grind on the ledge directly next to the river
(the ledge and then the river will be on your left) away from the mountain.
Cliff Grind (1000 pts)
----------------------
When you start this level, go forward until you reach The Hook Up gap. Grind
that rock ledge or wooden fence and hold that grind. You will drop onto the
cliff ahead of it, but still hold the grind. After that cliff, you will drop
onto yet another cliff and if you are still holding the grind, keep at it and
you will get the gap.
Tunnel Grind (1000 pts)
-----------------------
This gap will be directly after the Cave Gap. When you start, go forward until
you reach a wooden fence on top of a ledge. Grind and hold the grind on the
fence or ledge. You will drop off of the fence or ledge and land in a grind on
a mountain cliff ahead of it. Keep holding that grind and you will drop again
onto another cliff ledge. If you hold this grind you will get the Cliff Grind
gap. Right before you reach the waterfall on this ledge, jump forward and
follow that path to the left into the cave ahead. Then get onto the path along
the right cave wall and follow it to a tongue. There will be the tunnel that
you will need to grind in directly ahead of the tongue. Transfer from the
kicker on the end of the tongue and get into the tunnel. Once in the tunnel,
grind the rocky rail in the middle of the tunnel and hold that grind to get
the gap. (See Cave Gap also to get info on this gap.)
Tree of WOE! (600 pts)
----------------------
The Tree of WOE gap is pretty easy if you know how to get the CD in this
level. Go to the wooden fence to the front left of you. Get in between the gap
of the two wooden fences. Now you will need to grind the fence to your left
(which would be going somewhat downhill). Hold the grind until the end and you
will drop from the wooden fence onto a grind on an edge of the rock cliff.
Hold the grind on the cliff all the way to the end (you will drop and grind
two more times). Right before you reach the end of the cliff, you will need to
jump directly ahead (which would be when you get the CD) and land in a grind
on the branch of the tree ahead of you (the tree of WOE). To get the gap, you
just need to grind the branch of the tree.
Water Side Fence Grind (1000 pts)
---------------------------------
Once you begin, go forward towards the wooden fence on a short cliff ledge.
Continue forward along the mountain on your left until you reach the river.
The wooden fence directly next to the mountain and before the mountain spring
is the fence that you need to grind to get the gap.
Squirrel Haven (1500 pts)
-------------------------
This gap is a stall on the Tree of WOE. In order to do this gap, you will need
to go down to the Snow Lodge at the bottom of the hill. Once there, go to the
right side of the stone ramp leading to the Snow Lodge. Go up the quarterpipe
to the right of the ramp, catch some air, come down the quarterpipe, keeping
your speed go directly to the spine directly across from the quarterpipe that
you went up, and launch up from it, close to the tree of WOE, and stall on the
highest broken branch. You will need to bypass the first stall point and go to
the second one (the highest branch) to get the gap. The difficulties in this
gap is the two stall points and also the length of the branch that you will
need to stall on. It isn't really a long branch, so that is why you will need
to launch up the spine close to the trunk of the tree to get it.
Billboard Grind (800 pts)
-------------------------
This gap is in the area on the other side of the river. Once there, continue
forward past the three quarterpipes on your left towards the fence after the
second quarterpipe (if you grind the fallen tree) or take a right and follow
the mountain that you came out of past the three quarterpipes on your left
until you get to the fence (if you came from the tunnel). Go around to the
other side of the fence and continue forward on the dirt path going uphill.
Near the end of the path will be a kicker that you have to go to the right of
and get close to the right edge of the path. You will notice a white billboard
there. To get the gap grind the length of that billboard.
Guard Rail (700 pts)
--------------------
Go to the Snow Lodge at the bottom of the hill. Once you are there, look at
the lodge. You will notice a billboard separating two lengths of rail. The
curving length of rail to the right of the billboard is your goal. You will
need to grind just about the whole little length of this rail in order to get
the gap.
Pipe Grind (500 pts)
--------------------
This gap is in the area on the other side of the river. On the other side of
the river, take a right after the fence on your right (if you grind the fallen
tree) or a left before the fence (if you took the tunnel) until you reach the
area of the U-shaped quarterpipe underneath the billboard. To get the gap
grind the U-shaped quarterpipe.
Small Stall (500 pts)
---------------------
This stall gap is in the area on the other side of the river. On the other
side, turn right after the fence and continue forward (if you grind the fallen
tree) or take a left and continue forward once out of the tunnel (if you took
the tunnel) until you reach the area with the U-shaped quarterpipe and the
billboard above it on your left. You will be facing a small quarterpipe with a
rail above it. To get the gap, you just need to go up the quarterpipe and
stall on the pipe right above it.
Mid-Section Grind (500 pts)
---------------------------
When you begin go to the Snow Lodge at the bottom of the hill. Once there go
to the side of the lodge where the river is at. Go on the dirt path on that
side of the platform. Look towards the river. You will see three sections of
quarterpipes separated by two small roll-ins. To get the gap grind the edge of
the middle quarterpipe.
Cliff Stall (700 pts)
---------------------
This gap is in the area on the other side of the river. Once there, look to
your left (if you grind the fallen tree) or continue forward a short distance
and look right (if you took the tunnel) and you will notice a quarterpipe up
against the mountain. To get this gap, go up the quarterpipe and land in a
stall on the cliff directly above it and hold the stall.

9: Tiki Park, HI (18 grinds) [1TIK]
======================================
=====================
9-1: Grinds [2TIK]
=====================
High Rail Stall (2000 pts)
--------------------------
When you begin the level go forward all the way into a pool and then continue
to the ground on the other end of the pool. Continue forward, down a roll-in
and up the piece of long quarterpipe directly ahead of you. To get the gap,
once you go up the piece of long quarterpipe ahead of you, land in a stall on
the rail above it (which will be higher than the two on either side of it).
Mirage Grind (1000 pts)
-----------------------
When you begin the level, turn left and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. Then transfer to the left from the top of the roll-in of the Upper
Lip Splitter gap to the ground below. You should be in the general vicinity of
this gap (you will see a circular planter with a palm tree growing out of it)
and the Wave Grind gap. If you followed my directions and you are not on the
ground of these gaps, continue down the ramp, take a right afterwards, go a
short distance, and then turn right again. You should see a circular cove with
a rail inside it and also a planter with a palmtree. To get the gap, grind
around the circular planter.
Wave Grind (2000 pts)
---------------------
This gap is right next to the Mirage Grind gap. If you don't know how to get
there, read the directions for the Mirage Grind gap. When you are in this
area, face the circular cove and you will see a rail going along the cove. To
get this gap grind and hold the grind on the rail on the inside right of the
cove.
Upper Lip Splitter (4200 pts)
-----------------------------
When you begin the level, face left and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. You will see a track that you can take. Go up the hump slightly,
and then hold a grind on the edge of the track until you get to the gap
between this track and the one after it to get the gap.
Lower Lip Splitter (3000 pts)
-----------------------------
When you begin the level, face left and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. You will see a track that you can take. Go up the hump slightly,
and if you prefer, you can do the Upper Lip Splitter gap and jump and land in
a grind on the track after it, and if you hold the grind until the end of the
track, you will get the gap. You can also just ride down the track of the
Upper Lip Splitter and jump and land in a grind on the edge of the track after
it. If you hold your grind until the end of the track, you will get the gap.
Spiraling Spirit Grind (20000 pts)
----------------------------------
Go forward from the start down to the pool and up and over the other side of
the pool. Continue down the roll-in and take a left. Continue ahead and up the
path on your right that you will notice once you are nearing a wall ahead of
you. At the top of this path you will need to start and hold a grind on either
of the two ledges that will border a long slide ahead of you that will twist
like a slinky all the way down to the ground. You will need to hold this grind
for a very, very long time, but if you do it you will get all those points and
the gap.
Tail-Thrasher (10000 pts)
-------------------------
When you begin the level, face right and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. You will see two tracks that you can take. Take the one on the
right and hold a grind on the edge of it until the end to get the gap.
South Ridge Stall (2200 pts)
----------------------------
This gap will be forward from the North Ridge Stall. When you begin look
behind you and go up and over the semi-bowl lip. Then go right and follow the
wall on your left to a quarterpipe you will notice ahead of yourself once you
get to the bottom of the path. Don't go up that quarterpipe, but the
quarterpipe that is to the right of it and behind it. You need to transfer
forward from the lip of that quarterpipe to the quarterpipe that will be
behind it. Go forward a short distance and then look behind yourself. You will
notice two quarterpipes, one along the wall and one to the left of and behind
that one. To get the gap you need to transfer up the quarterpipe along the
right wall and stall on the ledge directly above it.
Emerald Reef Grind (1000 pts)
-----------------------------
Go forward from your starting point to get to the pool and continue to the
other side of the pool. Then go up and over that side. Continue forward, going
down the small roll-in, and go right following the short wall on your right.
Turn right once there is a space for you to turn right. Along the right wall
will be a planter with two kickers on it, one on either side. To get this gap,
you need to go up one kicker, grind the planter to the end, and come down the
other kicker.
Fluke Grind (1000 pts)
----------------------
When you begin the level, face right and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. Continue forward right to get to the wall of the level. Follow that
wall to the left, down the ramp, until you get to a turn in the ramp with a
semi-bowl. This will be halfway down the path from the top part of the level
to the bottom part of the level. When you get to this area, jump over the
short wall on the left side of the path and then face left so that the wall is
on your left. Ahead you will see a rail along the left wall. To get the gap,
just hold a grind on that length of rail.
Flame Tongue Grind (6000 pts)
-----------------------------
When you begin the level, face right and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. You will see two tracks that you can take. Take the one on the left
and hold a grind on the edge of it until the end to get the gap.
Southern Cross Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------------
Go forward from the start to get into the pool and continue to the ground up
and over the lip of the pool. Continue forward down the small roll-in and
notice the High Rail Stall point and quarterpipe ahead of you. Then go to the
right or left of the kickers that will be next to the quarterpipe that you
noticed earlier. To get the gap, transfer from the kicker to a grind you must
hold on the quarterpipe ahead of it and come down the other kicker.
Oasis Stall (1500 pts)
----------------------
When you begin the level, go forward all the way into the pool ahead and
continue to the ground on the other side of the pool. Continue down the
roll-in directly ahead of it and turn left right after that. You will notice a
lone quarterpipe with a rail above it. To get the gap, transfer up the
quarterpipe and land in a stall on the rail above it.
Lava Lip Grind (1000 pts)
-------------------------
Go forward once you start the level, drop into the pool, and then come out on
the other side of the pool. Continue ahead down the roll-in and take a left.
Follow the wall on your right all the way up to the top of this path. At the
top, there will be a really short wall on your left. To get the gap, you need
to hold a grind for the distance of that short rail going downhill.
Eastern Wind Grind (1200 pts)
-----------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level into the pool ahead and then to the ground
on the other end of the pool. Ride to your right following the wall on your
left. You will notice a shallow pool with a tunnel with two rails in it right
next to the pool. To get the gap, go up the tunnel, turn around, and hold a
grind on the rail on your right until the end.
Western Wind Grind (1200 pts)
-----------------------------
Go forward when you begin the level into the pool ahead and then to the ground
on the other end of the pool. Ride to your right following the wall on your
left. You will notice a shallow pool with a tunnel with two rails in it right
next to the pool. To get the gap, go up the tunnel, turn around, and hold a
grind on the rail on your left until the end.
Northern Altar Grind (3500 pts)
-------------------------------
When you begin the level turn to your left and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. Look to your left and you will see two fires on either side of a
statue. This is the Northern Altar. To get the gap, ride forward and jump
towards the left and hold a grind towards the left on the edge right in front
of the altar. You can also do this gap the other way, just substitute right
for left.
North Ridge Stall (2200 pts)
----------------------------
When you begin the level turn to your left and go up and over the lip of the
semi-bowl. Then ride to your left until you get to the wall and turn right and
follow the wall all the way down a path to the bottom. You will notice a
quarterpipe at the end of the path. To get the gap, you need to go up the
quarterpipe and land in a stall on the ledge directly above the quarterpipe,
not the top ledge of the quarterpipe itself.

10: Special Thanks
===================
First, I would like to thank my girlfriend for buying me the Playstation 2, a
wireless controller, and "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2" for Playstation 2. Without
these, I would not have been able to write this walkthru.
Second, I would like to thank all of the people that helped me to create this
walkthru. My girlfriend helped me to list all of the gaps for each level,
helped with the point values for each gap, and put up with my lengthily
gameplay. All others, read through my walkthru and helped me to fix the
messages that I was trying to send to the readers and made sure that most
people would be able to understand and complete the things that I described.
Third, I would like to thank Sony for their many great products that I have
bought, and for creating and producing the Playstation 2 since it doesn't even
compare to its predecessor, Playstation One.
Fourth, I would like to thank Activision for creating "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX
2" for the Playstation 2 console, and also for all their other video games
that I enjoy.
Next, I would like to thank you, the reader, for reading and / or looking at
my walkthru and buying "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2".
Finally, I would like to thank GameFAQs for their suggestions and help
concerning writing a FAQ, for all of their posted FAQs, and for building up
their fanbase and contributor pool. Without their fanbase or contributor pool,
some of us would be quite lost in some of our games and also would not be able
to obtain our cheats and / or FAQ's.
