I.Intro
-------

Digimon Rumble Arena 2 is so far the latest digimon fighting game that have
Digimon from each season as characters. This FAQ focuses on my second
favorite character, Veemon (Check out my Biyomon FAQ).

-------------
II.Background
-------------

Veemon is a main character in Digimon Adventure 02, as the
partner of Daisuke, the main character and also appears in its
two related movies The Golden Digimentals and Diablomon Strikes Back.

Veemon, along with Hawkmon and Armadillomon, are the three Digimon of
ancient times who were sealed away by the Sovereign Azulongmon, to be
awakened again in a time of crisis. Veemon was freed in the first episode of
Digimon Adventure 02 when Davis lifted the Digi-egg of Courage.

--------------------------------
III.Advantages and Disadvantages
--------------------------------

For beginners:

Veemon is a very good choice for beginners in the game because most of his
moves come out really fast and deal a lot of damage
For Advanced players:

Veemon is considerably the best mid-range fighter, since most of his moves
work best at mid-range, with the exception of his rookie form, which
focuses more on close range.

+ Best close-range rookie Digimon

+ Best over-all at mid-range fighting

+ Tosses out MILLIONS of digi-eggs

+ Tosses enemies easily

- Will get killed easily in his rookie form

- Moves are easily countered; has an attack recovery problem

- Combos are hard to use since they easily toss the opponent away, inhibiting
 continue in the combo

-------------------
IV.Moves and Combos
-------------------

Veemon has short combos, so he is very noob-friendly. Although he is
outgrown fast because he cannot deal a lot of damage with his short combos.

Veemon and his second form have no trouble tossing their enemies off ledges
since they have quick knockback moves, while Imperialdramon has the
disadvantage of having absolutely NO knockback moves
(His uppercut is a knock-up move.) but more than makes up for it with a
very strong and quick projectile.

Legend:

^: Up(Note that up is different from Jump)
v: Down
A: Regular Attack (X default)
B: Special (square default)
S: Super (block+special default)

------------
IV.I. Veemon
------------

Veemon is the best close-range fighter of his three forms. But his moves are
easily punished(countered), so if you're gonna hit enemies, you better make
sure you hit them.

Name: Three-hit combo
Input: AAA
Rating: 4/5
Other: Hits 3 times.Good combo starter. Not his best combo, but nevertheless
      strong.

Name: Dive headbutt
Input: (while in air) A
Rating: 2/5
Other: Dives down at an angle. Slow, and doesn't even knockdown enemies,
      making it easily counterable.

Name: Vee-knockout
Input: B
Rating: 3.5/5
Other: Rushes forward, dealing great damage and knocks back opponents.
Good move, but easily coutered and should only be used as a combo
      ender.

Name: Vee-headbutt
Input: ^B
Rating: 3/5
Other: Dashes upward at an angle. Good damage but has limited range and is
easily countered if blocked, like most of his moves.

Name: Vee-punch
Input: vB
Rating: 5/5
Other: Spins his fists around, hitting up to four times.
Great for combos since it doesn't knockdown.

Name: Favorite combo 1
Input: AAA, ^B
Rating: 3/5
Other: After 3 hits, V-headbutts. A great combo since it can be linked into
other combos once the enemy lands.

Name: Favorite Combo 2
Input: vB, B
Rating: 2.5/5
Other: After V-punch, charges forward, knocking back enemies. Strong, but
there is a slight pause between the two inputs, making the last input
      easily blockable.

Name: Favorite combo 3
Input: ^B, jump next to enemy, B
Rating: 4/5
Other: Basically a shortened version of Fav combo 4.

Name: Fav combo 4
Input: AAA, ^B, jump next to enemy, B
Rating: 6/5
Other: After the V-headbutt, hits them while in the air. Good, but better
      combos exist.

------------------
IV.II. Flamedramon
------------------

Flamedramon works better at mid-range with his firey moves, giving him the
ability to make the first strike. But, like veemon, his moves still have a
recovery problem.

Name: 3hit combo
Input: AAA
Rating: 4/5
Other: Similar to veemon's, slightly stronger.

Name: Dive
Input: (while in air) A
Rating: 3/5
Other: Like Veemon's dive, except more vertical in angle. Still not
recommended since it is still way too slow and weak.

Name: Fire rockets
Input: B
Rating: 4/5
Other: Shoots three rockets that fan out. Good at mid-range since all
rockets hit when used at midrange.

Name: Fire Horn
Input: ^B
Rating: 3/5
Other: Same as Veemon's headbutt, stronger but still has poor range.

Name: Flame Shield
Input: vB
Rating: 4/5
Other: Flamedramon's most versatile move. Creates a fire shield that knocks
back enemies and blocks projectiles. Powerful and has decent range.

Name: Fav Combo 1
Input: AAA,^B
Rating: 3/5
Other: Like all other uppercut combos, can be linked to other combos.

Name: Fav combo 2
Input: AAA,vB
Rating: 3/5
Other: Neat combo. Use when another enemy approaches from behind while you
      are comboing.

Name: Fav Combo 3
Input: AAA,^B,B,jump right next to opponent, ^B, vA, jump next to
      opponent, ^B
Rating: 7/5
Other: This combo requires precise timing, although you can remove the third
input to make it easier.Repeat the last two inputs for more damage.
      Neat combo.

---------------------
IV.III.Imperialdramon
---------------------

Imperialdramon is most probably the most versatile since he works well at
close-range and long range. AND his moves aren't easily countered, making
him practically invincible.

Name: 3hit combo
Input: AAA
Rating: 4/5
Other: Like all other 3hit combos. Strongest among the three forms.

Name: Air dash
Input: (in air) A
Rating: 4/5
Other: Air dashes. Good range. Can be used to pursuit enemies in the air.

Name: Positron Laser
Input: B
Rating: 4/5
Other: Shoots out a powerful laser.Comes out really fast, but has limited
      range.

Name: Uppercut
Input: ^B
Rating: 3/5
Other: Like all other uppercuts, basically. Better range than Flamedramon's
      uppercut.

Name: Dragon Kick
Input: vB
Rating: 2.5/5
Other: Steps forward and kicks downward.Since it comes out real slow,
      COMBO USE ONLY.

Name: Supreme Positron Laser
Input: block + B
Rating: 5/5
Other: Nearly infinite range, and charges fast. Highly recommended.

Name: Fav combo 1
Input: AAA,^B
Rating: 3.5/5
Other: Like all other uppercut combos, linkable into other combos.

Name: Fav combo 2
Input: AAA,vB
Rating: 3/5
Other: Like all other knockback combos. Not recommended for long combos.

Name: Vertical Assault
Input: AAA,^B, jump next to enemy, A
Rating:6/5
Other: After knocking the enemy into the air, pursuits him with an air dash.
      Neat.

Name: Juggler
Input: AAA, ^B, charge supreme positron laser, release when enemy is in
      range
Rating: 8/5
Other: Great combo. After knocking enemy into the sky, blasts them to
      pieces when they land.

V. Strategies
-------------

Veemon is a noob-friendly character, so his strategies are easy and
effective as well.

-------------
The collector
-------------

This strategy will get you digi-eggs very quickly. V-Knockout enemy or
use any combo to knockout BILLIONS of digi-eggs, collect digi-eggs, repeat.
You should become Flamedramon in no time.

-------------------
"Dive" into the fun
-------------------

This strategy is for veemon and flamedramon. Avoid contact at all costs,
collecting items until you see a group. Jump up, and use your dive move to
get into the group. Now there are three possibilities:

1. You hit someone and end up at the side of the group:

  Y I I I

  Y= you I= others

 - When this happens, destroy him with your combos!

2. You end up in the middle of the group:

  I I Y I

  Y=you I=others

 - When this happens, v-punch like there's no tomorrow, then when your done,
   jump out of there.

3. You miss everyone and end up far away:

  Y   I I I

  Y=you I=others

  - When this happens, V-knockout and dig your way past the enemies.

Just follow this method and you will be untouchable.

----------
Armageddon
----------

This strategy is very complicated, so you might want to print this...

Beat up everyone, then digivolve, then beat up everyone, then digivovle,
then kill everyone.

Well that's about it, and I hope this becomes of use to you.
