5. Game Features
(5a) Overview
Welcome to my guide for Barnyard - probably THE best movie-based
game for the Wii right now. Definitely tops other movie games
like Ice Age 2 (way too short), Happy Feet (obviously just done
as a companion to the movie), and others.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(5b) Game Controls
Here are the controls you’ll make frequency of throughout the
game either on the Main Menu or in the mini-games:
WII REMOTE
*Control Pad: Rarely used. Sometimes used to navigate menus.
*A Button: Very commonly used. Used in mini-games for various
purposes; used on the Main Menus to confirm selections; serves
as your Jump Button in the main game.
*B Button: Not too common. Used in some mini-games and used as
a speed boost for bikes.
*Minus: Used to go back or cancel selections in menus.
*Plus: Serves as the start button for the mini-games and is also
used to validate selections, advance to successive screens, and
bring up the Inventory.
*Home: Used to bring up the Home Menu where you can customize
Wii Remote settings, see Wii Remote battery life and connections
for all Wii Remotes you’ve properly synched and you can go back to
the Wii Menu from here.
*1 Button: Not used too often. Used in some mini-games as a brake.
*2 Button: Used even less than the 1 Button. I forget where it
used though.
NUNCHUK
*Z Button: Used in some mini-games. Also serves another purpose
which I can't recall off the top of my head. :P
*Analog Stick: Used to move your cow in the Main Game and in
mini-games.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(5c) Modes
The game spans a total of 4 main modes.
* Story Mode (New/Load game)
- This mode allows you to progress through the storyline.
Play this mode and clear certain tasks to unlock Mini-Games in
Antic Mode.
* Antics Mode
- After completing certain tasks, you'll be able to unlock
new mini-games for this mode. Here you'll be able to replay
all of your favourite mini-games from the Main Game although
it is better to play them in Story Mode as there are ranking
tables that are kept track of.
* Options
- You can customize various settings here.
* Bonus/Extras
- You can view trailers, artwork and the credits.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
(5d) Multiplayer
I was surprised to learn that despite the mini-game mode, this game
does not support simultaneous play for multiple players, although
it would make sense for it to in many of the mini-games.
But, yeah, I stuck this in here since there may have been a
confusion once people saw that it's supposedly a "Party game".

6. Story Mode
#####################
SUMMARY
#####################
Selecting this mode allows you to progress through the game's
storyline. The game starts off with showing a cinematic revealing
that a new cow (whose name and color you specify half-way into
the cinematic) has been transported to the barn.
This is who your character will be and who you will journey the
game's overworld with.
#####################
CHAPTER PROGRESSION
#####################
The first chapter will introduce you to the game's basics.
The second chapter will teach you more about basics and having
fun with some of the animals.
The third chapter, entitled, "Raccoon Season" will center around
the protection of the farm.
The fourth chapter, will center around the death of a valued
member of the farm, and how the members of the farm try to come to
grips with their death.
The fifth chapter, entitled "Coyote Season" will center much more
on the protection of the animals from the savage coyotes who
reside in the junkyard.
The sixth chapter will continue to center on the farm's protection
as well as an encounter with the Beady's in an effort to cheer
up the farm.
The seventh chapter will center around Otis' runaway and the
Appointment of a new leader of the animals.
The final chapter will center around an urgent situation with the
Coyotes and the animals, as well as Otis' return to the farm.
The epilogue will reveal what becomes of the farm after it has been
Saved and how Otis' life has changed a lot over the course of the
game.
#####################
IMPORTANT CHARACTERS
#####################
* The Farmer: The owner of the farm (Barnyard). He doesn't know
about the secret life of the animals.
* Ben: One of the first characters you'll meet. The "leader" of
the pack. He oversees various operations by the animals and
takes precautions so the animals aren't caught by the
Farmer, the Beady's, or, taken by surprise by mischievous
raccoons and coyotes who threaten the safety of some of the
animals. The new cow will later serve an important role in
the story, unbeknownst to Ben.
* Otis: Another character you'll meet early in the game. Otis is
Ben's son who is totally opposite to his father. Otis is
much more laidback compared to his serious father. But it
is the arrival of this new cow that will play a pivotal
role in the changing of his perspective in life.
* Daisy: You'll meet her later. She's a really mellow cow who
has a beige-like skin tone.
* Miles: A goat who oversees the protection and harvesting of the
vegetables in the Farmer's vegetable patch. He is the very
first character you'll meet who will give you a place to
sleep.
* Pig: An obese pig who's seemingly always hungry, living up to the
"pig stereotype". He is a good friend of Otis. He lives in
a mud pen with two other dark-skinned pigs.
* Root: A rooster who admires the new cow and whom constantly
thinks of his days as a young rooster. He is known as
the reigning champion of darts.
* Freddy: A weasel who is a good friend of Otis.
* Hanna: A hen who oversees the Chicken Coop and ensures the safety
of the younger chickens.
* Duke: The farmer's trusted dog who loves the animals as much as
He loves his owner. He is the reigning champion of pool.
* Joey: The gopher who runs the business operations at the
Underground Gopher Shop. Him and his brother sometimes have
rivalries.
* Jersey Cows: A three-some group of cows who rebel against Ben's
rules constantly by taking the Beady Car out for
Joy Rides.
* Pip: A small mouse who is a good friend of Otis.
* Eddie: A chicken who is a good friend of Otis and Freddy. He
Wants his dreams of flight to be realized.
#####################
KEY LOCATIONS
#####################
* Barnyard: Where the game mainly takes place. This is where the
Farmer lives and it is also home to many animals who
secretly party at night. You can save your game by
coming here.
* Walnut Woods: Woods, home to an abundance of Walnut trees. There
is also a Golf Course located along the southside.
* Izzy Springs: A large golf course. One of Otis' favourite places.
* Beady Farm: The neighbour’s farm. The Jersey Cows like to take
their car out for Joy Riders. Mr. Beady thinks Mrs.
Beady is crazy as she always claims she sees animals
manifesting human-like behaviour (which isn't far
from the truth).
* Junkyard: Home to the ravenous coyotes who want nothing more than
to ruin the lives of the animals to manifest their own
greed (essentially, their craving and hunger for
animals).
* Underground Gopher Shop: A special shop owned by two gophers that
is only accessible at night. Players can
purchase and sell various goods here. It
is located near the Barnyard, to the
right of the bridge upon a hill.
* Ben's Hill: A special (and later, significant) hill that
overlooks the Barnyard. Ben spends most of his time
up here at the start of the game.
- More important locations to be added in the next update.
#####################
GOLD-RUSH TOKENS
#####################
Special tokens, known as gold-rush tokens, will allow you to insert
them into special machines in certain areas which will cause a lot
of coins to appear along a path. Use your bike to be sure you'll
collect them as the values vary from 50-200 coins depending on the
machine.
#####################
MISSIONS
#####################
The premise of the game, and how you'll advance the plot.
Performing missions for other characters will slowly advance each
Chapter and the storyline. Some missions are quite simple to
complete but as you progress through the game, you'll notice the
revamped difficulty.
#####################
MILKWEED
#####################
Over time, you'll earn Sunglasses which you can use to spray milk
either at objects or at other cows. All over the farm, you'll find
patches of dirt where you can place Milkweed which, once squirted,
will grow and act as a ladder, leading you to secret areas.
#####################
FOOD AND DRINK
#####################
Food can be found in trees, and in the shop, and by the Beehives
(for honey). Other food can be made using recipes and multiple
ingredients.
Recipes are found under rocks (dubbed "Recipe Rocks") which may
contain a food or a drink recipe. Foods can be made (with a recipe)
in the Kitchen at the Barnyard, and Drinks can be made at the
Mocktail Bar inside the Night Barn over the counter.
#####################
SUPER-SQUIRT
#####################
After earning the Sunglasses, you'll start to uncover one of 3
Super Squirt areas across the overworld. One can be found in the
Barnyard, Dandelion Meadow and the Beady Farm respectively. You'll
need to try to get the farthest distance possible by shooting milk
across the sky in the right area.
Try to beat Otis' records and try to set your own.
#####################
MINI-GAMES
#####################
Some missions will require you to complete a mini-game either for
the sake of completion or to come out on top.
In the 2nd Chapter, you'll receive a Records Table in your
Inventory where you can view your standings in each of the games.
Your scores are rated based on your performance. They are in
order of best to lowest possible rankings: Star, A, B, C, D, F.
You'll need to talk to Pip to see who is the Barnyard champion,
once you are able to at the same time you get the Record Table. By
placing yourself at the top of the mini-game tables, you'll earn
points.
Try to top Otis' records and you'll become the Barnyard Champion.
Over time, on your road to success, you'll earn other rewards for
Your efforts.
If you would like to replay certain mini-games, they can be found
in the area where you first played them. It'll depend, though, on
whether it can be played at Day or Night.
#####################
THE BARN
#####################
During the day time, you can find milk, butter and cream here. You
can only find these once a day.
During the night time, the barn will be transformed into something
like a night club. In order to make it spiffy, you'll need to
purchase goods from the Gopher Shop. As certain conditions are met,
you'll earn special rewards from Root for your efforts.

7. Missions
All missions you need help on, e-mail me and I will add whatever
help I can offer here. Below you'll see a list of missions people
have needed help on and/or missions I remember how to do.
Difficulty ratings are out of 5 stars (*).
###############################################
Miles: Fix the Water Pipe: Barnyard
DIFFICULTY: ***(**** if you don't know what you're doing)
The first leak is right in front of you.
For the second leak, head over to the path leading up to the
Barnyard and pull out your metal detector. You should find one
along the left side of the path.
For the third leak, head behind the place where you sleep and there
should be one there.
For the fourth leak, it's somewhere around the tractor where Otis
always stood at the start of the game.
The remaining leak(s) are located near the Chicken Coop and near
Pig's Pen. (Can't remember if there's one or two more...)
###############################################
Miles: Fix the Water Pipe: Dandelion Meadow
DIFFICULTY: ***(**** if you don't know what you're doing)
First leak is along the path behind you.
Second leak is along the left fence somewhere/near a stack of
haybales. After passing Miles, head left and stay near the fence
and follow the radar.
The remaining leaks are against the fence moving towards the area
where the Jersey Cows usually are.
I think there's one more after that, and it's located along the
path that leads right beside the vegetable patch.
###############################################
Freddy: Find Food
DIFFICULTY: **/***
Carrots, Melons, and other Vegetables:
Can be found in the vegetable patch just before Dandelion Meadow.
Take the path to the left of the Barnyard as you leave.
Cherries:
Can be found in the trees at the Beady Farm. Follow the path
straight ahead from the Barnyard as you are leaving and head onto
the left path where the gate was previously locked. Make your way
through Walnut Woods to find the Beady Farm.
###############################################
Find Pip, Pig and Freddy
DIFFICULTY: **/***
Freddy is found in the shed over by Dandelion Meadow.
###############################################
Otis: Super Squirt
DIFFICULTY: ***
First, you must get up to the water tower in the Barnyard. To do
that, head by the side of the shed where the tractor is and you’ll see
some boxes or barrels you can climb on top of, then, you'll see a
wooden plank that you can cross over to climb on top of a ladder to
reach the top of the barn. Once you reach the top of the barn, look on
your right and you'll see the water tower.
When you go on the water tower, aim to your right into the forest -
that should rack up a good distance. Keep aiming in different
directions off to the right and aim for a distance higher than 45
meters.
Other missions will be added in secular versions as people ask for
them.

8. Mini-Games
This section goes more in-depth with the mini-games found in the
game.
#####################
EARNING THE BEST SCORES
#####################
Practice isn't as a big deal for earning the best scores as it is
in other mini-game collections for the Wii. Nevertheless, multiple
attempts will surely be needed for some of the harder mini-games.
To aid you, across the Barnyard overworld, you'll find a variety
of notes posted along fences and trees. Some notes list tips on
how you can master the mini-games in Story Mode to aid you in your
goals of becoming the Party Animal.
For the rest of the section, I'll be going in-depth and discussing
more on the Mini-Games in the game. The following format will be
used:
(Mini-Game name)
Objective - the objective of the game in a sentence or two
Fun Factor - how fun the game is, out of 5 stars
Difficulty - how difficult/easy the game is
-> 5 = Really Hard / 1 = Easy
Problems? - if the game is "broken" in anyway
My Advice - tips I have for the game
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Barnyard Darts
OBJECTIVE: To earn the most points against Root.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- If you hit one of Root's panels, you'll earn HIM points.
- Go for the ones in the middle first, then the ones along
the sides.
Barnyard Pool
OBJECTIVE: Earn the most points against Duke in a special game
of pool.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- After the first shot, take note of what your objective is.
Clear that objective as fast as you can by pocketing balls in
a short amount of time then go for the 8 Ball.
- Be sure not to help Duke complete his objective.
Bike Race
OBJECTIVE: Race the Jersey Cows to the finish line.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: ** (Later bike races = *** or ****)
MY ADVICE:
- Use boosts wisely for the victory.
- Watch for Red Arrows which will fill up your Boost Bar to
the maximum.
- Don’t waste your boosts so early. Cautious usage of them is key.
*** GLITCH ***
DISCOVERED BY: “rbolduc”
What it is: If you race one lap then wait at the finish line for
All others to finish, then complete the course, the game thinks you
were the 1st to arrive and lets you win!
Chasing Chicks - VS. Otis / Jersey Cows
OBJECTIVE: Rescue the chickens and toss them back into the chicken
coop.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY
- VS Otis: **
- VS Jersey Cows: ***
MY ADVICE:
- The purple circles will be worth the most points. The yellow
circles are worth the least. Check on the map for where they
are located.
- Don't bother wasting time squirting your opponent. Just get as
many chicks in as you can.
- If an opponent fights you for a chick, just leave it and go for
another one as it's not worth wasting time over.
Chicken Coop Defender
OBJECTIVE: Defend the eggs from the raccoons.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- Don't stray too far from the coop, yet, it'll be easier if
you go after the raccoons rather than waiting for them to
come to you and this will make you rack up more points.
- The more chicks you've protected at the end, the better your
score.
Chicken Launch - Beginner
OBJECTIVE: Launch Eddie through all the airborne rings.
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- The most points you can earn at the landing area is 100.
It's located underneath the 90-point window on the far left.
- The more rings you go through, the better your score.
- Instant failure if you crash into anything.
- Use boosts before rings. Each time you pass a ring successfully,
you'll gain another boost.
Chicken Launch - Normal
OBJECTIVE: Launch Eddie through all the airborne rings.
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- No additional tips.
Chicken Launch - Expert
OBJECTIVE: Launch Eddie through all the airborne rings.
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Watch out when near the train tracks. You'll go a little
faster than usual as you'll be heading downwards. Watch out
for the ring under the bridge.
- Be cautious and go a little slower this time around and avoid
using too many boosts unnecessarily and before drops in
altitude.
Classic Pool
OBJECTIVE: It's a classic game of 9-ball pool!
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- None.
Cow Tipping
OBJECTIVE: Save the cows from getting tipped over by the children.
FUN FACTOR: ****
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Firing the kids with tomatoes earns you a couple points but if
you can hit a coyote, you'll earn much more.
- Watch Joey as he gives you extra power-ups that will earn you
double points, a larger shooting range, and a rapid-fire gun.
- The more cows you have still standing in the end, the more
points you'll earn.
Freddy’s Dream
OBJECTIVE: Protect the chicks from being eaten by evil Freddies.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- The key here is to stay close to the coop and watch the enemies
very carefully. Don’t stray off too far from the chicken coop
or they’ll all sneak up on you and get away with the chicks.
- Make use of the map frequently. Take note of where the evil
Freddies will come and prepare yourself. If no other Freddies
are coming/in the area, follow the one that’s about to come in
and knock him out before he even gets a chance to come in.
Gopher Golf - 9 Holes
OBJECTIVE: Get the ball in each of the holes as fast as possible
before the timer runs out. Only the front 9.
FUN FACTOR: ****
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- It is possible to get a hole-in-one on the first hole. (A hole-
in-one is the first throw by the gopher right after the first
swing at the start.)
- You are not limited by shots so you can shoot the ball as many
times as you want but you need to get the ball in the holes as
fast as you can.
- If the timer runs out, you'll lose a life.
- If you finish with all your lives, you'll earn even more points.
- You'll earn an extra life if you get a hole-in-one.
Gopher Golf - Back 9
OBJECTIVE: Get the ball in each of the holes as fast as possible
before the timer runs out. Only the back 9.
FUN FACTOR: *****
DIFFICULTY: ****
MY ADVICE:
- No additional tips.
Gopher Golf - 18 Holes
OBJECTIVE: Get the ball in each of the holes as fast as possible
before the timer runs out. All of the tedious 18 holes.
FUN FACTOR: ****
DIFFICULTY: *****
MY ADVICE:
- No additional tips. Just be sure to avoid wasting time and try
to take advantage of any potential shortcuts.
- The highest default score is around 600 or so; if you lose
no more than 2 or 3 lives and if you clear each hole in record
time, you should easily surpass the best score.
Freddy's Dream
OBJECTIVE: Wake Freddy from his bad dream by protecting the
chickens.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Stay close to the coop as over time, more and more evil
Freddy's will appear.
Honey Collecting
OBJECTIVE: Collect honey from the bees without getting caught.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Be sure to watch the bees carefully and know when and where to
hide and when to steal the honey.
- If you're being chased, head in multiple directions as you try
finding the nearest hiding place.
Joy Ride
OBJECTIVE: Race the Jersey Cows to the finish line but don't
get caught by the police.
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: * (*** with Police)
MY ADVICE:
- Watch out for the times when Police Cars will appear on
the track. If they get too close, you'll start to lose lives
until you get Game Over.
- Remember to use the 2 Button to Reverse if you get stuck.
Milk Bar
OBJECTIVE: Serve the customers at the counter for points.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Watch out for the milk jugs that they throw back at you.
Missing those costs you points.
- Get the coins that they leave as a tip for more points.
Mud Jumpers
OBJECTIVE: To be the last cow standing.
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- You'll earn more points for kicking the pipe than you
will for jumping over it.
- The more lives you have at the end, the more points you'll
earn.
- You can earn extra lives every time another pig falls off.
- Note the speed at which the pipe travels; don't go too early
but not too late either.
Precision Golf - 9 Holes
OBJECTIVE: Score points by landing the ball in the hole before
the Par on each course is up.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY:
MY ADVICE:
- The less shots you take on a hole, you will earn you more
points. Additionally, the amount of lives you have when the
game's up will account for some points as well.
Precision Golf - Back 9
OBJECTIVE: Score points by landing the ball in the hole before
the Par on each course is up.
FUN FACTOR: ***
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- The less shots you take on a hole, you will earn you more
points. Additionally, the amount of lives you have when the
game's up will account for some points as well.
Squirter - Barnyard
OBJECTIVE: Score points by accurately targeting and shooting cans.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: *
MY ADVICE:
- Combos are key for the victory. For each can you hit, there will
be a combo of 2, then 4, then 6, then 8, up to a max of 10.
You can maintain a combo for about 5 seconds before you'll
start back at 2. Be sure to rack up as many points as you can
before the 10-Point combo is lost.
Squirter - Ben's Hill
OBJECTIVE: Score points by accurately targeting and shooting cans.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- Combos are key yet again.
- Practice and know where the cans are (some will lead down the
hill and some will be at the top) to plan how you can make good
use of the 10-Point combo.
Squirter - Beady Farm
OBJECTIVE: Score points by accurately targeting and shooting cans.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Combos, again.
- Cans are dispersed all over the place in this one so you'll need
to plan and be very quick to take advantage of a combo.
Squirter - Izzy Springs
OBJECTIVE: Score points by accurately targeting and shooting cans.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- You can rack up a very big score here. Be sure to keep the 10-
Point combo as long as you can be firing multiple cans before
the 5 seconds are up.
Tease Mrs. Beady
OBJECTIVE: Score points by making gestures at the Mrs. Beady.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: ***
MY ADVICE:
- Point the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk downwards to land so Mr.
Beady doesn't see you.
- Always go for the high-end tricks. If he's about to see you, and
you're in the middle of a trick, then wait until the last second
(if you can) so you can still get whatever points in as you can.
- When Mr. Beady wakes up from his nap or he starts looking
at Mrs. Beady, then he's about to turn around.
Tease the Mailman
OBJECTIVE: Score points by making gestures at the mailman.
FUN FACTOR: **
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- Point the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk downwards to land so he
doesn't see you.
- Always go for the high-end tricks. If he's about to see you, and
you're in the middle of a trick, then wait until the last second
(if you can) so you can still get whatever points in as you can.
Vegetable Patch Defender
OBJECTIVE: Defend as many vegetables as you can.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: ** (Later levels = ***)
MY ADVICE:
- Watch out for when the raccoons attack you. A symbol will appear
on the screen to indicate when they are attacking.
- The more lives and vegetables you have left at the end, the more
points you'll earn.
- Don't try throwing raccoons to close to fence entrances as the
game may respond by closing the fence instead of grabbing the
racoon
- After squirting a raccoon, they'll only be stunned for like 6
seconds or so, so be aware that it's only temporary.
- Watch the map carefully to keep an eye on your vegetables.
- Larger red dots on the map indicate that a raccoon has a
vegetable.
Whack-a-Rac
OBJECTIVE: Whack as many Raccoons in the machine as possible.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: **
MY ADVICE:
- Hitting Freddy or Eddie will result in a loss of points.
- Hitting a Coyote is worth more than a Raccoon.
- Try to hit the raccoons as fast as possible before they
disappear.
Final Boss
OBJECTIVE: Defeat the Coyote Leader.
FUN FACTOR: *
DIFFICULTY: **** (***** if you're not experienced.)
MY ADVICE:
- If the Coyotes steal enough chicks you'll lose the game.
- Watch out for the Coyote Leader (he has red fur). He'll
throw garbage at you and after a certain number of hits,
you'll lose the game.
- To damage the Coyote Leader, you must fire at him before he
throws garbage at you.
- Use Wild Mike to attack all the coyotes in the vicinity.

11. FAQ
Q: Are you done the game?
A: Naturally. Movie games can be beaten, even this one. I rented
this for like two weeks before I finished it though. It was THE
longest game based on an animated movie I've ever played.
Q: Who would you recommend this game to? I'm currently wondering if
I should purchase it.
A: I would recommend this to the following people: (a) fan of the
movie, (b) a fan of the movie-game series, or (c) a parent looking
for a game for their child.
Q: Did you like this game?
A: It's a mixed bag. Although I enjoyed it for being one of the
best movie-based games for kids out there, I was over the target
audience so I found the game a little... meh.. I dunno the word
to describe it but I'll say this much. If you're IN the target
market for this game, it's worth a $40 price tag; if you're out,
I'd say $30 or $25. Most of the games are a little cumbersome but
some were surprisingly enjoyable.
Q: Can you work on a guide with me?
A: Sure, I'd love to, just email me and let me know this specifics.
I may or may not decide to help depending on what the game is.
Q: Can I work on this guide with you? Pretty please!!!
A: Well, you can certainly contribute comments to my guide to
help me improve it but I'd like to keep this as an individual
project. Sorry, but thanks in advance.
Q: Can you help me with the ____ mission? I'm having trouble!
A: E-mail me with the subject listed at the bottom and I'll help.
I will add missions people need help with to the FAQ for everyone
to see as I'm not able to go back and DO the missions since I
don't have the game anymore.
Q: How can I show my appreciation/hatred for your guide?
A: Simply by rating it here on GameFAQS so I can know if I'm doing
a good job on this guide.
Q: Have you seen the movie?
A: No.
Q: Do you want to see the movie?
A: Not really.
Q: What’s your favourite animated movie?
A: Over the Hedge. The song Still by Ben Folds was spectacular as
was the entire movie. I was surprised at how amazing it was and how
much I loved it.
Q: Your guide's not helpful at all!
A: Well, that's quite a claim. If you have ANY discrepancies, be
sure to email me at the address shown below. I will be glad to
hear you out...just don't be silly about it and keep in mind
the effort that went into the making of this guide.
Q: What's in YOUR Wii Collection?
A: I currently own Monkey Ball, Rayman and Wii Sports. I've rented
quite a few games, though, like this, Super Paper Mario, Elebits,
SSX Blur, and Sonic and the Secret Rings. I just don't have the
money to buy games, that’s all.
Q: Quick: Rayman or Monkey Ball?!
A: I'm a big Monkey Ball fan but I've been an even longer Rayman
fan. I'm more devoted to Monkey Ball, so I bought it right away a
month after it came out. I bought Rayman 3-4 months after it came
out I believe. For 4 players, I can't recommend either cause I've
never tried either with more than one Wii-Remote (alternating, yes
but simultaneous, no). If you'll ALWAYS be playing by yourself,
I'd say Rayman. If you'll always have friends to play with and the
Wii-Remotes to play with all 4, I'd recommend Rayman both,
although I have no first-hand experience...
Re: Rayman, the game is the hardest game to COMPLETELY master of
its genre (or any other game on the Wii for that matter, IMO).
Monkey Ball is VERY good also, it's just that I found more
replay value out of Rayman. If you want a quick rating see below.
Q: What are your opinions on (insert game name here)?
A: You'll know if I ever make an FAQ for one of the games, and
especially for the Wii, it's more than likely I will. But roughly,
for the games I've tried for the Wii:
-Rayman: 9.5/10
-Monkey Ball: 9/10
-Barnyard: 8/10
-Elebits: 9/10
-SSX Blur: 9.5/10
-Sonic and the Secret Rings: 8.5/10
-Wii Sports: 8/10
-Super Paper Mario: 7.5/10 (Rented it; made it to 8-3.
-Happy Feet: 6/10
Q: What game are you planning on getting next?
A: Wii Play (I DESPERATELY need another Wii Remote), Elebits then
SSX Blur. I would have gotten Sonic and the Secret Rings but
after I rented it, I decided not to get it anymore. And to think
I was REALLY hyped up over that game..
Q: Would you ever buy Super Paper Mario?
A: You kidding me? Nah.. I'm not going to waste like 60 bucks (CDN)
on that, considering I was near the end it the only replay value
I could foresee in gaining out of that game would be from the
exciting mini-games, but that won't captivate my interest for
too long... Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game along the way
and it's definitely a step in the right direction for the series,
but it's just not long enough to capture my prolonged attention
as I'm sure many others will agree.
Q: What's the best mini-game collection on the Wii market now?
A: Rayman, no doubt. But I haven't tried WarioWare and I've heard
VERY good things about it...
Q: What Wii games are you tracking that are in development?
A: I'm currently awaiting Mario Party 8 with eager anticipation but
I'm really stoked to finally try DDR for the first time with
Hottest Party. It sounds really cool. I'm also stoked over Mario
and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Animal Crossing, Super Mario
Galaxy and Brain Academy: Wii Degree (never tried as I don't
have a DS so it'll be interesting for me to try it). I may give
NiGHTS for the Wii a try but as I've only played him in Riders,
I'm not a huge fan... Also, recently, my interest in Strikers
Charged has greatly renewed after watching the video that showed
off the online potential of the game.
Q: Aren't you on TSC?
A: Yep! C'mon over to Sonic Center for Sonic Competition if
you're interested. And, also, I'm currently contemplating adding
Rayman Raving Rabbids’ mini-games to the site for competition
purposes by means of a special designated sub-site, for
competition in mini-games from games like Mario Party, Sonic and
the Secret Rings, Super Paper Mario, and many others. Barnyard may
have been added as well but I thought that there wouldn’t be
enough interest so I scrapped the idea. If you would like me to
revisit this idea, once the sub-site launches, there will be a
special request forum where you can voice your opinion.
Q: Are you on EliteScores as well?
A: Yep! Recently joined. Currently proud of my Monkey Wars records.
Head on over if you're interested in Monkey Ball or Wii Sports
competition.
Q: Weren't you head of a union over on GS...?
A: Yep... Surprised people still remember. Bet they'll be glad to
know I have so many world records for Sonic Riders now and I am
the current game champion over on TSC.
Q: Weren't you that guy that loves ReBoot/Sonic Shuffle/Blinx?
A: Yes, yes. All me. Still play Shuffle and Blinx regularly.
Someday Shuffle will have a sequel; or at least a new Party
Game (not SATSR-type: exclusively Party) would be REALLY nice.
And I’ve still not given up on seeing the final few episodes of
Reboot’s final season where the last episode “left off”...
Q: What's your favourite theme song from a game ever, right now?
A: I'd have to say Dreams of an Absolution from Sonic the Hedgehog.
And no, I've never tried the game... it's too bad I can't. Always
wanted to play Wave Ocean. :)
Q: What FAQ's can we look forward to soon?
A: Most likely one for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. It'll be
of the Party Games, though, not a full walkthrough.
