1) INTRODUCTION

Welcome, folks, to my latest guide. The game in question this time is
an underrated wrestling video game for the original Gameboy. Ring Rage
is a very good game which you can purchase for less than $3.
This guide will provide you with the basics of gameplay and
the entire move list for each of the playable characters. note that
Killer Cane is not a playable character, he's in the move list
just for the entertainment value.

Without further ado, let's get it on!

2) CONTROLS

Control Pad--Moves the character

A Button--Kicks an oppenent

B Button--Grapples an oppenent

Start Button--Starts game and pauses the game

Select Button--Not used

A+B (While Oppenent is down)--Pin the oppoenent

B + Up/Down (While knocked down)--Roll sideways the get up

Note that the wrestlers in this game have special moves. Use the
Move List section to learn about them.

3) RULES OF THE RING

There are three modes of play in Ring Rage--Tournament, 1P Extra Match and
2P Extra Match. The 2P Extra Match mode is simultanious, so
a link cable and two copies of the game are required to play this mode.

The difference in rules between the three modes is that the
Tournament is a five-round game where you've have to defeat
the other wrestlers to claim the TWF (Taito Wrestling Federation)
Championship Belt, while 1P Extra and 2P Extra are
exhibition modes where two wrestlers face off in a best-of-three
set. Who ever wins two out of the three matches wins the set

3.1) THE OBJECTIVE

The objective of the game is to get your oppenent's stamina bar
down low enough to pin the him and win the match. Each match lasts
up to ten minutes.

3.2) THE STAMINA BARS

Each wrestler has a stamina bar, which indicates the overall
energy of the wrestler. The lower the staminal bar is,
the slower the wrestler tries to get back up, and in turn, the slower
he gets out of the opponent's pin. A general rule of
thumb is to deplete a chunk of your opponent's stamina by either
throw or the wrestler's finishing move.

Once the stamina bar of your wrestler is down to virtually zero,
a pin by the oppenent will ensure victory for him. Note that
the stamina bar is regenerated over time.

3.3) THE POWER BAR

When both wrestlers connect into a grapple at the same time,
a power bar will appear where the stamina bars are. This leads
to a physical tug-o'-war. To fill the bar to your favor, rapidly press,
or mash, the buttons as fast as you can. If the power bar is in your
favor, it will randomy result in either a throw or an irish whip, a
move that sends the opponent towards the ropes. It's the same thing
with your oppenent.

Once the power bar is filled completely in your favor, you'll
execute a finishing move, which is guaranteed to delete
hale of the opponent's maximum staminal bar. Should you
lack button-mashing skills and the power bar is emptied in
the opponent's favor, he'll execute his finishing move,
which could be devastating.

3.4) USING THE TURNBUCKLES

In the corners of the ring, with the exception of the steel cage
in Chicago, you can climb up the turnbuckle and jump towards the downed
opponent. Use caution when using the turnbuckles, as the opponent will
roll away from you and you'll land on the canvas, resulting in
lost stamina.

You can also avoid the opponent's turnbuckle slams by rolling out of
harm's way, which results in the opponent losing stamina when he
lands on the canvas. Turnbuckles can be either a blessing or
a curse.

3.5) PINNING THE OPPONENT

When you pin the opponent, he has 3 seconds to get out of the pin,
or the match is over, with you winning it. Should you get pinned by
the opponent, but have some stamina left, you can get out of it
by mashing the A and B buttons before the count reaches 3.

As mentioned earlier, if you have no stamina at all, the oppenent
is guaranteed to win the match.

3.6) THE END OF THE GAME

The game ends when either you or your opponent gets a successful
pin, or times runs out. I'm not sure what happens when time
runs out, but I would assume that whoever has more stamina wins the
match.

4) MOVE LIST

This is the bulk of the guide, which features all the special moves
