-Air Man ------------ Leaf Shield
-Crash Man ---------- Air Shooter
-Needle Man --------- Air Shooter
-Magnet Man --------- Needle Cannon
-Hard Man ----------- Magnet Missile

===============================
3. Power-Up Uses and Locations:
===============================
Power-Up          Use              Location
-------------------------------------------
Rush Coil - Use Rush as a springboard - Defeat Crash Man.
Rush Marine - Use Rush as a submarine - Defeat Metal Man.
Rush Jet - Ride around on a little jet - Defeat Air Man.
Energy Tanks - refill life meter; 4 Max - Found randomly.

=====================
4. Metal Man's Stage:
=====================
You'll begin on a conveyor belt. Head right, jump over the first enemy you see, and head
down the pit. Hold right to land safely, then go left and drop down, again holding right
to land on a safe ledge. Drop down once more and stay center to avoid another set of
spikes, then drop down to face a familiar enemy from the NES version - the little pin-
wheel robots. They take a bit more to kill here, but you still must eliminate them. The
next section entails traversing a narrow section filled with the chain platforms that
inflict massive amounts of damage, so be careful when heading past them. The slide that
you have the benefit of using here greatly helps here. You'll then deal with a section
filled with cornscrew robots that tunnel in and out of the floors. Shoot them to bypass
them, and watch out for the chain platform near the middle. Get through here, and jump
over the spikes to reach another conveyor section, as well as some more pinwheel robots.
Destroy them and head up the ladder, then kill the Mets on the next two levels. At the
very top, slide right and deal with more pinwheel bots, then just head across to reach
the boss gate.

Metal Man Strategy
==================
Metal Man still goes crazy like in his NES incarnation, but he has a bit of a pattern
that you can exploit to kill him faster. Get close to him and jump. When he follows suit,
shoot him with the Arm Cannon, then get back to the other side, and jump over the two
Metal Blades just as they near their intersection point. Your jump should clear his two
Blades, and you can just keep repeating this strategy, only having to compensate for the
conveyor in the room switching directions, and thus, forcing Metal Man to switch sides of
the room.

====================
5. Wood Man's Stage:
====================
The very start of this stage is similar to the NES version. You'll begin heading through
a forested area while avoiding loads of Bubble Bats and rabbit robots. At the end, go
down the ladder, and head to the next one (ignore the Bubble Bats; it's too hard trying
to defeat them in such close quarters). Climb down the ladder to find a giant Hot Dog
robot, but stay on the ladder and pelt it with Metal Blades (fire diagonally), then drop
down and down the next ladder. Kill another rabbit and collect the weapon refill, then
go down some more. As you drop into the water, you can either use Rush Marine to help
you navigate, or take the upper path (is this Wood Man's level or Needle Man's?) and
maneuver through the massive needles and fend off the Mets and cannons. Climb the ladder
at the end to find an energy refill, and head up some more. If you don't still have it
equipped, get out the Metal Blades here and just cut a path through all the running
roosters, then take out the final rabbit to reach the boss gate.

Wood Man Strategy
=================
I probably won't even have to write a real strategy for this, just pelt away with the
Metal Blades once you see Wood Man toss his Leaf Shield away. Wood Man literally falls
to this mega-powerful weapon in but three seconds. If he does manage to actually put
up a second shield, just wait for him to toss it away, then finish him off.

===================
6. Air Man's Stage:
===================
It's not as hazard-filled as in the NES game, but the stage is still fairly treacherous.
Start off just sliding to the right - it helps in avoiding the Bomb Birds. As you near
the edge, you'll see your first Air Tiki - wait until the spikes have retracted before
jumping on. Move to the right a little bit to trigger the next, and repeat this pattern
until you get back to solid ground. Slide to the hole and drop down to the next part of
the stage. Head left and fall down, then slide to the right to drop down another level,
then just fall straight down again to go down some more. You might think this one is
a bit insane, but the floor is actually solid all the way across, so just drop down and
head to the right, destroying the Bomb Birds in your path. At the end, you'll find some
more Air Tikis, so cross them while destroying the air vacuum robots on some of the
ledges. After the last of the Tikis, you'll have to ride some clouds across a chasm -
shoot the Thunder Gods out of the sky and steal their clouds to give yourself a decent
lift. After you finish crossing this section, drop down and continue falling down through
the mostly-invisible sections until you reach the second boomerang tosser. Shoot it with
the Metal Blade and head right to reach the boss gate.

Air Man Strategy
================
Oh dear God...(let's see how short I can make this strategy)... Wait for Air Man to fire
off his wave of Air Shooter tornadoes, then jump or slide over/under them, depending on
their positions. Then fire off a Leaf Shield. Wait for him to create more tornadoes, and
fire off another Shield attack to completely waste him.

=====================
7. Crash Man's Stage:
=====================
Crash Man's stage is very similar in design to his NES counterpart. Start off working up
the winding network of piping using the ladders (and avoid the enemies that pop out of
the tunnels). At the top, destroy the tower enemy by firing at its eye twice, and climb
the next ladder. There are three sections of platform riding that you have to navigate
while avoiding more of those floating enemies. Use the same strategy that worked in the
NES game and use the Leaf Shield to protect yourself while you ride the platforms along
their tracks to places where you can leap to the next ladder. Head up top and to the
right. Defeat another tower robot and drop down. Go down the ladder, use Rush Jet to
grab the Energy Tank, and avoid the pea shooters and small spike traps as you work your
way down. At the bottom lies a semi-treacherous section where those floater bots come at
you in hordes while you try to make jumps from ledge to ledge. Use the Metal Blade to
take the enemies out while you jump, and climb the ladder at the end. Head all the way up
top without stopping, then go up another ladder. You have a choice of two ladders here -
either one will take you to the next area, so pick one. The next section has three to
choose from - the far right one leads to an Energy Tank, the middle to some energy, and
far left to the rest of the stage. Go up the next two ladders and defeat one last pea
shooter robot to reach the boss gate.

Crash Man Strategy
==================
(I was actually beginning to wonder if this game had such a thing as a difficult boss...)
Crash Man is even more of a pain than in the NES version. He hops around firing Crash
Bomb after Crash Bomb after you, but as long as you have the Air Shooter and aim so every
shot equals a direct hit, he will fall pretty quickly. Use the tornadoes as they arc
upwards to hit him in the air (his Crash Bombs can block your shots), and don't hesitate
to use those Energy Tanks if you need them.

=====================
8. Dr. Wily's Castle:
=====================
This entire "stage" takes place via a cinema. Mega Man heads left into a teleport where
he faces Wily, who waggles his eyebrows before dropping Mega Man into a teleport room.
Now, unlike other teleport rooms, this one leads to new stages against Robot Masters from
Mega Man 3 (you didn't really think the game was going to be over that fast, did you?).
The layout goes like this:

                               Hard Man        Top Man

                               Magnet Man      Needle Man

Just hop into each of the teleports to go to new stages. Below are walkthroughs for them
in the order you should tackle them.

======================
9. Needle Man's Stage:
======================
You'll start off facing many a porcupine enemy - use the ever-handy Metal Blade to take
them out as you progress along. Climb the ladder at the end, and keep heading up defeat-
ing more porcupines. At the top, you can refill any lost energy, then start battling it
out with some cannon enemies. Keep heading to the right, using Rush Coil to bounce you
over the high obstacle. When you reach the layered structure, just slide along the bottom
path and defeat a few more cannons and Mets at the end. Head right some more, avoid the
dragonfly robots and grab the nearby Energy Tank before going down the ladder. Heading
inside marks the reintroduction of those stabbing needles. Make sure you advance with
caution so you don't get caught unawares as you go down and wind through the level maze.
At the top, face off against a Hammer Joe, climb the ladder and slide under the Red
Stomper to gain access to the boss gate.

Needle Man Strategy
===================
His preferred method of attack seems to be attempting to stab you with the needle array
on his head. While he's doing this, you can rapid fire away to cause damage to him, and
wait for him to switch to some other pattern of attack. When he does start jumping and
firing his Needle Cannon, get in relatively close and let him have it with your Air
Shooter to turn him to scrap metal once more.

=======================
10. Magnet Man's Stage:
=======================
Start off heading right; the only enemies you'll encounter here are flying magnets that
try to pick you up. Wait until they pass overhead and you escape from their grip before
attempting any tricky jumps - if they pick you up over a pit, it's often instant death
since they drop you just as quickly. Go down the ladder at the end and defeat the pea
shooter for another Energy Tank (if you need it). Drop down and head to the right while
taking on some Spring Top enemies. Defeat them and head down the ladder. Defeat the four
walker enemies and go down another ladder. The next room involves some more walker robots
while also dealing with mighty magnets. Avoid the magnets and get to the next ladder,
and, of course, go down. Down here, shoot Metal Blades diagonally at the shooter robot,
then use the disappearing blocks to leap up to the ledge, then go down the ladder. The
last part involves some very tricky disappearing blocks, but you can make it far easier
by equipping Rush Jet and flying to the ladder at the end. Climb up and work around to
get the refills and Energy Tank if you need them, then go back up and defeat one more
Spring Top to reach the boss gate.

Magnet Man Strategy
===================
Magnet Man is pretty easy, especially with the Needle Cannon equipped. He only seems to
really stick to his pattern of double jumping across the room (slide under him) and
leaping into the air to fire off three homing Magnet Missiles. Fire off the Needle Cannon
when he lands to inflict damage and keep sliding under him to avoid getting hit yourself
to win this fight.

=====================
11. Hard Man's Stage:
=====================
Head to the right across the outer region. Now, unlike the NES version, you can't scroll
the massive bees off the screen, so just keep moving to avoid them the best you can.
Near the end, slide across the Clap Traps and climb up the ladder to face a Hammer Joe.
Skip this one and take the upper route; use Metal Blades on the second Hammer Joe and
climb the ladder to your left. Go up and head right to face three very annoying monkey
robots. The first two you can try to skip, but the third one you'll have to duke it out
with. Once it's gone, collect the energy refill nearby and climb the ladder. There's an
energy refill on the ascent if you want it, then defeat another monkey at the top, and
climb the ladder and battle a MetDozer up top. Once it's gone, head right and slide
across more Clap Traps quickly to reach the boss gate.

Hard Man Strategy
=================
Hard Man starts this fight off by firing two Hard Knuckles at you. You can try to avoid
them, but it's hard. After this, he'll leap into the air and crash into the ground,
briefly stunning you. Once you can move again, move in close to Hard Man and fire off
four successive Magnet Missiles to waste this metallic mass of junk.

====================
12. Top Man's Stage:
====================
As you start off, the first two enemies you fight will be the hopper variety. Eliminate
them and head down the ladder to fight another MetDozer. Go down the next ladder to find
..water? Anyway, forgo the disappearing blocks and use Rush Marine to sail through the
water section. At the end, defeat a shooter robot and grab the energy refill. Drop to
fight a Met, and recharge your Rush Jet or whatever you really need with the weapon re-
fill down in this area. Another drop down will lead you to battle against a giant tabby
cat - use Metal Blades to cut the kitten apart. Drop down some more, take out the two
MetDozers and grab the 1-Up if needed, then go down the ladder and hang on the bottom
rung to kill the Top Shooter, then go down the next ladder, which leads to another
tabby cat fight, but you can bypass it by sliding through the little tunnel to your
right. Collect the Energy Tank if needed here, and go down the ladder to the left. This
last part is a literal remake of the NES version. Collect the weapon refill and kill the
following two Top Shooters. Then ride the spinning tops across the chasm and kill one
last Top Shooter to get to the boss gate.

Top Man Strategy
================
Top Man's strategy is exactly the same as it was in the NES version. He starts off by
creating three tops that hover, then fly at you in diagonal angles. Slide to avoid them,
then count to four and jump over him when he spins across the room. Blast him with a Hard
Knuckle when he stops spinning, or while he's creating the tops. Repeat until you beat
him down.

==================
13. Meeting Quint:
==================
A hole in the floor opens after you complete the eighth stage, so just drop through it
to meet your horrible clone from the future.

Quint Strategy
==============
Quint just hops around on his pogostick, not really ever attacking you at any point in
the battle. For that matter, he doesn't even have a life meter, so... Just stay away
from him and jump to shoot your normal plasma bullets into his head. After a while, he
will disappear and you'll get the Sakugarne.

================
14. Final Stage:
================
Head to the right and take out the Hammer Joe in your path. Defeat him and drop down,
where you can use Rush Jet to cross the spike pit. Hold right while falling and you can
use Rush Jet to get an Energy Tank if you need it, then fall down some more, defeat a
Met and grab a weapon refill, then go down the left hand ladder. Fall all the way to
the bottom, and start working your way around, back up, then back down to reach the
ladder at the very bottom. Take it to an underwater section that you can use Rush Marine
to bypass, or you can collect some powerups on an upper route. Either way, use Rush
Marine to get to the other side, then go up the ladder and defeat another monkey. Kill
it, climb the ladder and take out another Spring Top, then work up the ladders. Halfway
up you'll have to make a leap off the very edge of a ladder to make it to a platform,
but it's not too hard. Next level up, deal with two chain platforms, then climb the
next ladder. This final ascent has you navigating more cloud platforms. Use the Metal
Blades to quickly take out the Thunder Gods, and climb to the top where you can take out
some boomerang tossers for powerups before reaching the boss gate.

Dr. Wily Strategy (1st Battle)
==============================
This form is fairly easy, if you're quick enough to avoid all his attacks. Slide under
Wily as his walker jumps towards you, then slide under the bouncings Skull Bomb. Jump and
fire at his head, and dodge the floor beam, then repeat this strategy. Knock off half of
his life to trigger the next battle.

Dr. Wily Strategy (2nd Battle)
==============================
After blowing the legs off of his contraption, Wily attacks you by merging with another
machine. Wily still uses the same attacks for the most part, except he stays in one
spot. Just pelt away with the Arm Cannon to drain another half meter and you'll advance
to the last battle.

Dr. Wily Strategy (3rd Battle)
==============================
Dodge his shots and pull out the Sakugarne item, and hop on it. Bounce to the top of
Wily's machine and attack him Sonic-style by jack-hammering on his head. Be sure to watch
your energy level though, and refill as needed. Pounce on Wily until he is defeated. If
you run out of Sakugarne energy, be sure to start peppering him with Arm Cannon shots
to the top of the cockpit.

=================
14. Boss Weapons:
=================
-Metal Blade - Mega Man shoots a blade that can fire in eight directions. Almost as
useful as it was in the NES game.
-Leaf Shield - Mega Man surrounds himself with rotating leaves that can be used as an
offensive weapon as well as defensively.
-Air Shooter - Mega Man fires three tornadoes that fly in an arc.
-Crash Bomb - Mega Man fires a bomb that can attach to walls and then blow up.
-Needle Cannon - Like the Arm Cannon, but with rapid fire needles.
-Magnet Missile - Mega Man fires a semi-homing magnet-shaped Missile.
-Hard Knuckle - Mega Man fires a fist-shaped projectile that can break some objects.
-Top Spin - Mega Man turns into a spinning top if you press B while jumping.
-Sakugarne - A cute little pogostick obtained from Quint that isn't too useful.
