Dedicated to Snow Dragon. He was there to listen me talk about the game,
making me realize I wanted to... NO! MUST FAQ this little beauty of a game!
Besides, a game where accumulating wealth with only a cane as a weapon just
screams out "what a great game"!
Also, for Cougar, Howler, Koonce, and Gracey. I miss you, and I hope you
are living it up in the afterlife as you did in this world. You will always
be in my memories, and you will never be forgotten.

As you may now remember, Scrooge McDuck is a rich old duck who has a rich
cast of supporting characters in his three nephews (Huey, Dewey, and
Louie), his pilot Launchpad McQuack, his maid Ms. Beakly, the odd
Gizmoduck, the prehistoric Bubba, and the adorable Webbigail! However,
some colourful enemies await Scrooge in his globe hopping adventure, so
gear up for the adventure of a lifetime!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------Controls---------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) This section will look at the basic controls for Scrooge McDuck as well
as the advanced moves.
o----------------o
Basic Controls
o----------------o
D-Pad : LEFT and RIGHT will move Scrooge McDuck in the corresponding
direction, while UP and DOWN will move Scrooge in the corresponding
directions when he is climbing on a rope/chain/etc.
SELECT : Changes difficulty setting on menu screen.
START : Pauses/unpauses the game.
B Button: Performs Cane moves (see advanced moves for details).
A Button: Performs a Jump as well as helping with advanced moves (see below).
o----------------o
Advanced Moves
o----------------o
Golf Swing: Stand Scrooge McDuck next to an object, push the D-Pad towards
that object till Scrooge starts to wag his tail, and then press
the B Button to swing Scrooge's cane like a golf club. This is
useful for hitting objects into the air, knocking down barriers,
and breaking open Treasure Chests.
Pogo Cane : When Scrooge McDuck jumps into the air, hold DOWN and the B
Button to cause Scrooge's cane to be deployed below his falling
form. After Scrooge bounces off the ground and high into the
air, you only need to hold the B Button to maintain the bouncing
of the Pogo Cane as you move. This is useful for killing
enemies, bouncing over spiky areas, and for breaking open
Treasure Chests.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------Characters---------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) This section will give a quick look at the Characters that will help out
Scrooge's adventuring efforts.
o----------------o
Scrooge McDuck
o----------------o
The hero of our story, he will be the duck with the skills that you guide
across five different terrains to reach untold millions of dollars!
o--------------------------------o
Huey, Dewey, Louie & Webbigail
o--------------------------------o
These four will appear through out Scrooge's travels, offering advice and
help.
o-------o
Bubba
o-------o
Found in the Himalayas, release him from his entrapment to get some
strong-handed assistance.
o-----------o
Gizmoduck
o-----------o
Found on The Moon, he needs his Remote Control to help Scrooge advance
towards the fabled treasure.
o------------o
Ms. Beakly
o------------o
The friendly maid will appear in a few areas, offering delicious Ice Cream
treats to help refill the stamina of Scrooge McDuck if he is feeling low.
o-------------------o
Launchpad McQuack
o-------------------o
This pilot may be a bit of a wild man, but he will appear in each area of
Scrooge's adventure (except Transylvania), offering a lift back to Duckburg.
However, once he has airlifted Scrooge out of an area, Launchpad will no
longer be there to help out again! Also, check out Game Secrets to learn
about a neat trick he can perform.
o----------------o
Gyro Gearloose
o----------------o
Not in any of the main levels, you will have to look hard to find him. The
Game Secrets section may be able to shed some light on this generous soul...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------The Amazon--------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) Take a journey into the deep jungles of the Amazon, where great treasures
and great ruins await the wily duck. The Direct Path will take Scrooge
right up to the Boss, while the Money Path will cover how to get the most
treasure as he explores.
o-------------o
Direct Path
o-------------o
Head right, killing Gorillas as you find a stone pedestal, where a treasure
chest on top contains an Ice Cream (if you need to heal). Continue right
past a Venus Flytrap and a Snake (not taking the vine downwards) to bust the
Treasure Chest you find to get a Magical Coin (making Scrooge invulnerable).
Head right through the Venus Flytraps and the Bees while crossing an area of
Brambles to find a few more enemies (mainly Gorillas and Snakes) guarding a
vine leading upwards that Scrooge should take.
Climb up through the next screen (pausing in between the flying levels of
the two Bees) to find an area with a couple Venus Flytraps. The treasure
chest on the right holds an Ice Cream (if you need it), but to advance you
must move left to fight Bees as you hop across the stone statues to find a
bunch of stone bricks. Move across them carefully, wary of both the Bees
and the Venus Flytraps, arriving at a stone statue where LaunchPad will be
circling in the sky with a rope hanging down for Scrooge to hold onto so he
can cross the gap ahead (Bees can knock you into the gap below, so be
aware).
Once Scrooge has crossed the deadly gap, continue to the left across more
stone bricks, followed by getting past a couple Venus Flytraps to find a
crumbling bridge (hop across it to avoid a long fall to death). Bust the
barricade in your path as you move left to find a Gorilla guarding a vine
leading upwards into the ruins.
Launchpad will be higher up the vine, but you will get off and go left. As
soon as you start down the tunnel, a Boulder will fall into the path behind
you, so run right, using the Pogo Cane to cross the Brambles to pass a small
rock brick (the Boulder can not pass here). Now you will be faced with two
choices of path in your travels.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ Path One ~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This path is more likely going to suit you if you have not been collecting
treasure as you go, because the other path requires you to pay a hefty toll.
When you reach the small statue head column, jump to the left of it to make
a treasure chest appear, which Scrooge should then Pogo Cane off the statue
head to bounce off of said treasure chest into the opening above in the
ceiling, where you need to press UP to grab a hidden rope! Climb the rope
and then drop down the vine to Scrooge's right to enter into the BOSS FIGHT!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ Path Two ~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you would rather take the longer (and more expensive route), head to the
right, fighting the Natives and the Spiders to find a statue that will
charge $300000 for you to pass! However, if you still wish to avoid paying
this fee, you can reach the vine above by baiting a Native to follow Scrooge
into the room, and then Pogo Cane off of his head to bounce up towards the
vine (pressing UP to grab it).
Once you have reached this new area of the temple, go past Dewey to bust the
treasure chests to grab a Scrooge Doll! Now head off to the left, running
through the small hallway where the ceiling falls down as you pass, jumping
the gap at the end to find a barrier. Use the Golf Swing to clear the path,
entering the opening to find the BOSS FIGHT!
==============
Incan Sentinel
==============
This heavy, granite baddie is out to crush Scrooge into Duck pate, so be
ready to dodge his vicious attacks. The Incan Sentinel will slide along
the floor, jumping high into the air to crash into the ground below.
Scrooge must use his Pogo Cane to hit the enemy in the head 5 times to
destroy it, but remember that it is best to do this attack just after the
Sentinel has just landed from one of his arcing jumps (less likely he will
hop upwards and damage Scrooge).
o------------o
Money Path
o------------o
Use a Golf Swing on the two stumps at the start of the area for two
Diamonds, followed by walking around the right side of the second stump to
find three Mini-Diamonds. Now Golf Swing the ball into the Treasure Chest
above for a diamond, then jump around the same area to find two Diamonds,
and then continue to the right to bust open a treasure chest for a
Mini-Diamond. Pogo Cane to the ledge on the right to find a Diamond and Ice
Cream in treasure chests, then move right to grab the Mini-Diamond that is
invisible (right above the Venus Flytrap), and then move across the ledge
above, killing a Snake to jump on the far edge of the ledge to find a
Diamond (jump towards the stump to find another one). Golf Swing the stump
for a Diamond, break the treasure chest for a Magical Coin, then move right,
killing the Venus Flytraps and then jump onto the vines (ignore the stump as
it contains a Venus Flytrap). Work across the vines till you one leading up
off the screen, so go up there and grab the two Red Diamonds ($100000!) from
within the two treasure chests.
Now head back to the left to the vine leading downwards, head down the vine
to find a red spool, which you should Golf Swing so it slides to the left
(grab the Mini-Diamond that appears as you approach the spool). Pogo Cane
off of it and go across the top of the screen to the left to find two
treasure rooms. The first one contains two Diamond and two Ice Creams in
treasure chests and the second room contains four invisible Mini-Diamonds
and a Red Diamond in a treasure chest. Return to the main area, head right
past the vine leading upwards, and then use a Golf Swing to knock a ball
into a Spider. Jump the gap, Pogo Cane across the Brambles (avoiding
damage) to find a Cake and a Scrooge Doll before continuing across the
Brambles. Jump the gap and look in the top corner of the cave for an
invisible Mini-Diamond, then climb the vine to the level above.
Pogo Cane off the ball by the vine (going right) to find two Diamonds, one
Mini-Diamond, and a Cake, then move left to kill a Snake and use a Bee to
Pogo Cane up to the treasure chest above (holding a Diamond). Golf Swing
the stump for a Diamond, kill the Gorilla and jump to find an invisible
Diamond, and then return right to find the vine again (take it up one
screen). Here you will climb upwards, wait between the two Bees, get
Scrooge positioned so his hat is just touching the top of the screen
(causing the extra lives and time to disappear), and then hop to the vine on
the right so he can reach the treasure chest containing a Red Diamond.
Continue up to the next screen (grab the Ice Cream treasure Chest on the
right if you need to), move right past the Venus Flytraps and Bees as you
hop across the stone statues to find a bunch of stone bricks. Move across
them carefully, wary of both the Bees and the Venus Flytraps, arriving at a
stone statue where LaunchPad will be circling in the sky with a rope hanging
down for Scrooge to hold onto so he can cross the gap ahead (Bees can knock
you into the gap below, so be aware). Continue on to the right to bypass
two Venus Flytraps, followed by crossing a crumbling bridge (two invisible
Mini-Diamonds try to bait you into dying, so just ignore them as they fall),
and then climb the vine to the ruins above.
Break the treasure chest for a Red Diamond, then you will see Launchpad
above, so go up to talk to him, but refuse his help for now, and instead j
ump up and to the left to pass through the opening in the ceiling to move
left to find a Cake, two Diamonds, and a Red Diamond in treasure chests.
Now you can return to Duckburg if you wish to cash your findings, and then
return to the Amazon to go through all of the same areas you just were to
re-collect all of the money (doubling what you did so far), but you may want
to get your fifth digit in your money to a 7 (ie the ten thousand slot) so
the trip back will have Gyro Gearloose drop in to give Scrooge some extra
Diamonds (go right from Launchpad and kill the spear throwing Natives for
Diamonds to get the number you need).
As soon as you start down the tunnel, a Boulder will fall into the path
behind you, so run right, using the Pogo Cane to cross the Brambles to pass
a small rock brick (the Boulder can not pass here). Break the treasure
chest that appears to find a Diamond, then move right past the Natives and
Spiders (find a magical Coin above the first floating brick you encounter)
to find the statue demanding a $300000 toll. Pogo Jump to the top of the
statue to find an invisible Diamond, then bait a Native from the left to
follow Scrooge back into the toll room and use him as a stepping stone (via
a Pogo Cane) to reach the vine above. Past Dewey is a Scrooge Doll and a
Red Diamond awaiting pick-up, then move left to run under the crumbling
ceiling to jump a small gap. Pogo Jump off the spools blocking your path
for a Cake, then Golf Swing said spools to enter into the BOSS FIGHT!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5) Venture into this haunted mansion in the old country, where many spooky
horrors look to add Scrooge to their numbers! The Direct Path will take
Scrooge right up to the Boss, while the Money Path will cover how to get
the most treasure as he explores.
o-------------o
Direct Path
o-------------o
Go right to find a Skeletal Duck, followed by moving over a set of armor to
find a Magical Coin in a treasure chest. Move past Webbigail and head down
the stairs and then up the rope. On this screen, move into the small
passage on the right to use a Golf Swing on the Mummy, and then repeat this
on the other Mummies to reach the next rope. Now you have the choice of
going right to get on top of the large coffin by the wall to pass through
said wall to find a treasure chest holding a Stamina Extender!
Once you are all prepped, head up the rope in this area to the floor above.
Once you have arrived, hit the ball to Scrooge's left towards the right to
knock down a treasure chest holding a Scrooge Doll! Now head right to pass
through another illusion wall to find two mirrors on pedestals. Ignore the
first one and enter the one on the right to be warped to another section of
the mansion. Head left through this area while dodging the Ghosts to find
an opening leading to the BOSS FIGHT!
==============
Magica DeSpell
==============
This classic opponent from the TV Series will use three methods of attack.
She will fly through the air in vulture form, she will drop to the ground,
and then she will throw three lightning bolts (one 90 degrees, one 45
degrees, and one directly forward) before repeating the pattern. To hurt
her, perform a Pogo Cane when she is flying low to the ground, or get her
just before or just after the lightning bolt attacks. If she is flying too
high, just avoid her and her lightning bolts as you wait for your openings
to get her as she flies, landing five blows to find the Golden Coin!
o------------o
Money Path
o------------o
A quick sidebar here about the suits of armor. The ones that contain
treasure chests will yield different prizes depending on the difficulty
setting of the game. On Easy and Normal, a Cake will be won, but on
Difficult, a Diamond will be the prize. Hence, for the purposes of the
Money Path, it will be assumed that the player is on the Difficult setting.
Take out the Skeletal Duck to start off, then continue right to jump past
the suit of armor to reveal a hidden Mini-Diamond. Break the treasure chest
for the Magical Coin, go down the stairs while collecting two invisible
Mini-Diamonds, and then move right (ignoring the rope) to hop up to the
right of the rope to find two hidden Diamonds. Another Skeletal Duck
attacks as Scrooge moves right to see a Ghost appear, so backtrack to the
stairs to let it pass overhead harmlessly before continuing onwards to find
another Ghost in his path (go under it as it weaves higher in the air).
Go to the right side of the first coffin, Pogo Cane into the air to make a
Diamond appear, kill the Skeletal Duck below, and then Golf Swing both
coffins for a Diamond from each one. Get on top of the next coffin, Pogo
Cane off the screen to make a Red Diamond appear, then repeat on top of the
next coffin for a Mini-Diamond, and then kill the Skeletal Ducks before
whacking the fourth coffin (in this row) for a Diamond. Now drop down the
rope to the area below, Golf Swing the armor for a Diamond, move left to
jump around and find a Mini-Diamond, and then get the Ice Cream from the
treasure chest on the right if you like before Pogo Caning leftwards across
the Brambles. Here you will find six treasure chests, gaining two Diamonds,
two Red Diamonds, and two Ice Creams before stepping into the mirror to
appear back near the starting point of the level.
Jump off the ledge to make a Diamond appear, then head right past the areas
you passed previously, this time taking the rope you passed by earlier up to
the next floor of the mansion. Upon appearing, go kill the Beagle Boy to
win a Diamond (maybe), then head right through the narrow opening to grab
two Mini-Diamonds before killing off a Mummy blocking your route. Do not
Golf Swing the coffin, kill the Mummy on the next ledge so you can grab the
two Diamonds from the treasure chests it was guarding, and then go kill the
Mummy on the next ledge so Scrooge will reach a rope. Hear you will ignore
the rope by moving to the ground below to kill two Mummies, Golf Swing a
coffin for a Diamond, and then pass through the illusion wall to find a
Stamina Extender in a treasure chest! Now head back to the previously
passed rope to climb up to the next floor of the mansion.
Move to the right to Pogo Cane off of the Mummy and into the mirror on the
ledge above to warp to another area. Here you must move left by making use
of the mine carts, ducking the low ceilings and jumping into new mine carts
as the one you are in starts to roll into a pit. Once you have passed
through this somewhat tough area, drop down the rope to the room below.
Climb down the rope below Scrooge to bust out two Red Diamonds from treasure
chests, and jump right above the same spots to find two hidden Diamonds
before climbing back up the rope once more. Go right, killing Skeletal
Ducks and breaking the two treasure chests to find a Red Diamond and Ice
Cream, then heading right to break a treasure chest for a Scrooge Doll
before going down the rope to the next floor.
Now Golf Swing every suit of Armor in this area, looking for treasure chests
containing a Diamond each time. Once you are done with that, head right to
fight a Mummy, drop into the mini-hole to find an invisible Diamond, kill
the next two Mummies and find another invisible Diamond, and then Golf Swing
the ball near the rope into the hanging treasure chest to find another
Scrooge Doll. Now walk towards the wall with the mirror positioned above,
passing through the illusion wall to another room with two mirrors, where a
Pogo Cane should be performed near the wall on the right to find a Red
Diamond before jumping into the mirror on the right to warp to another area
of the mansion. Here you will find a Mini-Diamond underneath the mirror,
then head left while dodging repeated Ghost attacks. ALong the way, check
every nook and cranny of the hallway to find five Diamonds before passing
through a narrow opening to enter into the BOSS FIGHT!

---------------------------------African Mines------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
6) Deep under the continent of the African plains lies great treasure,
including an eye-bulgingly valuable Item! The Direct Path will take
Scrooge right up to the Boss, while the Money Path will cover how to get
the most treasure as he explores.
o-----------------------------o
Getting The Key To The Mine
o-----------------------------o
Talk to Louie outside of the locked Mine to find out Transylvania contains
the Key To The Mine, so Scrooge will be sent off to Transylvania
immediately. Upon arriving, head right under the first ledge, Pogo Cane up
to the ledge above with the mirror, and enter it to find a gigantic treasure
chest containing the Key To The Mine! Now go through the second mirror to
return to Duckburg with the key, allowing you to re-enter the African Mines
to start your treasure collecting there.
o-------------o
Direct Path
o-------------o
Head to the right, taking out the Slimes as you go down the stairs, passing
through the locked door now that you have the key, Golf Swing the ball into
the Bat hanging on the roof overhead, and then continue to the right to bash
another ball (via a Golf Swing) into the Bat on the roof. Now head down the
chain into the next room to arrive at a crossroads in the paths that Scrooge
can take to the guardian of the area.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ Path One ~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the short but risky path to take. Upon entering this room, take the
passage to the right to find Ms. Beakly handing out her Ice Cream treats, so
collect as many as are needed to refill your Stamina, and then start a Pogo
Cane bounce. Now take a leap of faith off the cliff edge to the right,
lining Scrooge up with the Green Jumper that appears from below, and then
keep bouncing right off of all of the Green Jumpers as they appear to reach
the far ledge. Jump across the next gap, finding a large treasure chest
(containing a hidden treasure!) that you may open if you wish, then continue
to the right to take the chain down to the next area. To continue with the
walkthrough, skip past Path Two to the sub-section entitled
"Paths Rejoined".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ Path Two ~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a longer route, but it has less dangerous pits to deal with. Upon
entering this room, go the wall on the left and pass through the illusion
wall to find a gigantic treasure chest with a Scrooge Doll inside! Now head
left to find a chain leading down to a room where three invisible chests on
the left can be used to get over the wall on the left to find another
Scrooge Doll if you like before taking the next chain in that same room to
the lower area.
Here is an area with water pits waiting to drag Scrooge in, many of the
containing Green Jumpers that will try to pull him in. If you go to the
first platform over the water, stand on the left side of it, and then perform
a Pogo Cane, Scrooge can get onto a ledge above, allowing him to bypass the
entire dangerous area. If you wish to go across the conventional way, make
use of the Green Jumpers, Pogo Caning off them as necessary to clear the
water pits. However, you will also need to deal with a couple Bats on your
trek as well. Head down the chain you find to the next area where a couple
Venus Flytraps guard mine cart ride for Scrooge, so get in and be sure to
duck any low ceilings along the way. When your cart is about to enter the
pit, jump out to the left, Golf Swing the spool barriers out of your way,
and then jump the Venus Flytrap to take the chain down to the next area.
Head to the right, taking out Beagle Boys that get in your path while
dodging the attacks of the Venus Flytraps, reaching Webbigail. She will
point out the SeeSaw that will launch Scrooge through the air, landing him
on the far side of a massive gap (be sure to start a Pogo Cane immediately
upon the return of control to you to kill the Slime). Now climb the chain
all the way to the top.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ Paths Rejoined ~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Break the treasure chest for a Cake, then move left, going under the Bat
(bait it into crashing into the ground of you do not want it following you),
and Pogo Cane the Slimes. Now, pass through the small opening ahead to
enter into the BOSS FIGHT!
==========
King Slime
==========
This guy is a bigger, badder, more talented version of the small Slimes you
have been unmercifully stomping into paste through out the African Mines.
He will bounce twice in the middle of the room before rolling into a tight
ball and patrolling the outside of the room to come to a stop in the same
place in the middle of the room. Scrooge should dodge the rolling menace,
waiting for his chance to Pogo Cane the enemy. He is vulnerable when not
rolling around, so land one shot every time he stops to rest. Five hits and
he is history, surrendering the Massive Diamond!
o------------o
Money Path
o------------o
Walk to the right, grab the three appearing Mini-Diamonds, then smush the
three Slimes, and then head through the door (now that you have the key) to
Golf Swing the ball you find to take out a Bat. Now jump around the area
near the coal box and the elevated treasure chest to make two invisible
treasure chests visible, break the treasure chest on the ledge for a Red
Diamond, then the two other treasure chests for two Diamonds, and finally,
give the coal box a Golf Swing to make a Diamond pop out. Golf Swing the
next ball into a Bat, move past the chain to Pogo Cane to the higher ledge,
run underneath the Bat, and ignore the treasure chest and the Slime as you
Pogo Cane over the next ledge to Golf Swing the coal box for a Diamond. Now
break into the small room to get the Ice Cream and Red Diamond before
starting back to the left, this time breaking the lone remaining treasure
chest to get the Magical Coin inside, allowing Scrooge to return to the
chain and head down the hole.
Make the one Mini-Diamond and one Diamond appear on the right side of the
chamber, then you will head through the passage on the right, using Ms.
Beakly to refill your stamina as needed, and then start a Pogo Cane bounce.
Now take a leap of faith off the cliff edge to the right, lining Scrooge up
with the Green Jumper that appears from below, and then keep bouncing right
off of all of the Green Jumpers as they appear to reach the far ledge. Golf
Swing the coal box for a Diamond, break the gigantic treasure chest for a
Hidden Treasure (the Golden Ring!), and then return across the large gap via
the Green Jumpers once more.
Now that you are back in the same room you begin out in for this area, head
towards the wall on the left, passing through the illusion wall there to
break a gigantic treasure chest to get the Scrooge Doll inside. Continue to
the left to find a coal box containing a Diamond (Golf Swing it), then jump
above the coal box to make a Red Diamond appear before Scrooge goes down the
chain. Golf Swing the coal box for a Diamond here, jump to the left to
reveal three previously invisible treasure chests, all of which contain
Diamonds. Now have Scrooge head down the chain to the next area.
Now check what the fifth digit of your money total (ie the ten thousands
slot). IF it is already a 7, then perform the following maneuvers: get
onto the ledge over the first pit of water, stand on the left side of it,
and then Pogo Cane up to the black above and push RIGHT to land on a ledge
which leads right to Launchpad (say yes to his question to get to the Bonus
Area with Gyro). Otherwise, follow the rest of this paragraph. Head right
across the first two water pits, break the treasure chest (Ice Cream
inside), use a Pogo Cane off of the Green Jumper to cross the next pit, and
then find a Mini-Diamond on a higher ledge. Now you will reach a bigger
ledge, so jump right to bait a Bat into dive-bombing Scrooge, kill it, and
then go speak to Launchpad (even if the bonus area is not set-up for you)
and head back to Duckburg to deposit your stash. Now return to the African
Mines, repeat the previous instructions (just remember the Hidden Treasure
will not return, but you should go there for the coal box Diamond), and then
resume working through at the following paragraph.
Head down the chain you find to the next area where a couple Venus Flytraps
guard mine cart ride for Scrooge, so get in and be sure to duck any low
ceilings along the way. When your cart is about to enter the pit, jump out
to the left, Golf Swing the spool barriers out of the way, and then head
down the chain to the next area. Go into the bottom-left corner to make a
Diamond appear, then move right to break the second ball from the left, and
then Golf Swing the left-most ball into the treasure chest above to get a
Diamond.
Now make a Diamond appear to the left of the Venus Flytrap, make a Red
Diamond appear between the two Venus Flytraps, and then go right to take out
the Beagle Boy before finding another invisible Red Diamond. Go past
Webbigail to use the Seesaw, use a Pogo Cane attack on the Slime as you
land, and then make the two Diamonds appear on the chain (as soon as they
start to appear, climb down the chain to grab them before they fall down to
join the Venus Flytrap). Climb up to the next screen, jump into the hole on
the left to find an invisible Red Diamond, and then climb the chain to the
next screen to find a Diamond in the hole on the right. Climb up one more
screen, break the treasure chest for a Cake, Golf Swing the coal box for a
Diamond, and then take out a Bat after baiting it into crashing. Go kill
the Slimes, jump around the area to make a Mini-Diamond appear, and then
jump near the lowering ceiling on the left to get some Ice Cream before
passing through the narrow opening to enter into the BOSS FIGHT!
==========
King Slime
==========
This guy is a bigger, badder, more talented version of the small Slimes you
have been unmercifully stomping into paste through out the African Mines.
He will bounce twice in the middle of the room before rolling into a tight
ball and patrolling the outside of the room to come to a stop in the same
place in the middle of the room. Scrooge should dodge the rolling menace,
waiting for his chance to Pogo Cane the enemy. He is vulnerable when not
rolling around, so land one shot every time he stops to rest. Five hits and
he is history, surrendering the Massive Diamond!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7) The cold and the wildlife are not the only worry here in this harsh
environment, as deep crevasses within the mountains look to end Scrooge.
The Direct Path will take Scrooge right up to the Boss, while the Money
Path will cover how to get the most treasure as he explores.
o-------------o
Direct Path
o-------------o
A Jack Rabbit greets Scrooge, so go on by it to find more Jack Rabbits and a
Mountain Goat waiting to accost you. Remember that if you miss a Pogo Cane
attack on an enemy, Scrooge will become wedged in the snow till you jump to
remove him from his vulnerable predicament. Continue to the right to fight
a couple more Mountain Goats and a Jack Rabbit before encountering a rope
leading down, so get onto it and head downwards.
As you fall down the multiple screen hole, hold to the LEFT so Scrooge will
land on the icy ledge that will appear. Move left to bait the Spider into
moving, then perform a half jump over the gap (clearing the pit but not
hitting the Spider) to find spools stacked in your way (Golf Swing them),
and then head right past the ice blocks to find a Mighty Duck (Pogo Cane him
quickly to avoid having to face flying ice blocks). Now move left to the
edge of the pit, where Scrooge should jump to the floating ledges on the
left. Climb the rope to go up to a new screen where a Boulder will be
rolling towards the shaft with the rope, so climb up high enough so Scrooge
can jump to the open area on the left side of the shaft to be safe while the
Boulder falls on by. Continue up the rope to appear outside, where Scrooge
will jump to the right to land on a yellow platform that moves, riding it
till he has to jump to a ledge above. Look for a Cake to appear from thin
air on these ledges, then jump to the right to the waiting platform, where
a few more jumps will lead Scrooge through a narrow opening to the BOSS
FIGHT!
==================
Abominable Snowman
==================
He will hop across the screen in two big leaps, followed by punching the
wall to cause snow to drop from above. He will then repeat this procedure
over and over till Scrooge is down for the count. To take him down, Pogo
Cane him just before he calls the snow down by punching the wall, dodge the
snow and his giant leaps, and then repeat the process four more times to
take this dangerous beast out to get the fabled Crown!
o------------o
Money Path
o------------o
Head right to kill the first two Jack Rabbits while making a Mini-Diamond, a
Red Diamond, and a treasure chest containing a Diamond appear around the
second Jack Rabbit before going right to open another treasure chest for
another Diamond. Another Jack Rabbit awaits, then it is Ice Cream in a
treasure chest, and then drop off the higher land to the lower one (hugging
the wall) to make a Mini-Diamond appear. Jump tot he higher ledge on the
right to kill a Jack Rabbit and Mountain Goat, followed by taking on many
Mountain Goats to look for a Red Diamond hidden on the right side of a small
snow drift. From there, continue right past the enemies to find a rope, but
Scrooge will jump past it to continue to the right to face more enemies to
find two treasure chests with Diamonds inside. Then there is one more
treasure chest with Ice Cream inside (jump the low point in the landscape as
it is an illusion of solidity), followed by dropping through the low point
in the ground.
When Scrooge lands from his fall (unhurt for some unknown reason), he will
find two treasure chests containing a Diamond and a Red Diamond as well as
an invisible Scrooge Doll located on the left side of the room. Take the
rope down off the screen to find Launchpad, but for now you will ignore him.
Instead, climb down the rope below Scrooge to jump left across two gaps,
pausing on the platform with the two ice blocks to jump into the air to
reveal a Diamond and a Red Diamond. Continue to the left, passing the
Spider and hopping over the snow blocks via Pogo Caning off of the ice
blocks (getting a Magical Coin in the process) to find a treasure chest with
a Diamond inside. Continue to the left to find Huey, then Pogo Cane off of
the Jack Rabbit high into the air to find another invisible Magical Coin,
and then run and jump to the left, jumping through Icicles falling from
above while getting a Red Diamond from a treasure chest to find Bubba
trapped in an icy cage (you will also make a Diamond appear jumping down to
his area). Golf Swing the spool into the wall on the left, Pogo Cane off of
it to land on Bubba's prison (Pogo Cane it as well) to release him, and he
will uncover a Stamina Extender hidden in the wall!
Now you need to hike back the way you came, dealing with the same obstacles
until you reach the area where the Jack Rabbits are located. Now your job
is to get Scrooge's fifth money digit from the right (ie ten thousands) to
be a 7 so he can speak to Launchpad and get the bonus area from Gyro
Gearloose while heading back for Duckburg. Now return to the level once
again to repeat all of the previous steps (you can ignore Bubba releasing as
he is gone, but his area still has a Diamond up for grabs) to reach the
starting point of the next paragraph.
Head to the left pass a Spider to go across some narrow blocks, grabbing a
Diamond when it appears as you move to more solid land. Take a running leap
across the small hole (grab the two Mini-Diamonds that appear first),
falling to the level below if you fail, forcing Scrooge to backtrack to the
right to try again. Now on the left side of the gap, head left till you see
another opening in the ceiling of the cavern, which is where you will
perform a Pogo Cane to get into a secret passage that leads to a rope you
can not see (press UP to start climbing). In here you will Pogo Cane off
the ice block to the left to reach as high into the air as possible to make
a Scrooge Doll appear, then move to the right to stand next to the wall of
ice blocks. Here Scrooge must walk against them, jump into the air, and
then perform a Golf Swing at the height of his jump to bust the higher ice
blocks, allowing him to jump up to the higher area. While fighting the
first Jack Rabbit, he will find two invisible Diamonds, then another hidden
Diamond while fighting the second Jack Rabbit, and then he can raid the two
treasure chests for a Red Diamond and a Magical Coin (use a Pogo Cane off of
a Jack rabbit to reach this prize).
Now make for the exit of the area, falling to the floor below where Scrooge
should turn left and start running through the Might Ducks he encounters
while jumping to find hidden Mini-Diamonds. He will arrive at some floating
platforms, with a rope leading up. For now, head left (ignoring the rope)
past some Spiders (be VERY accurate in your movements to bait the Spiders
into moving early AND landing Scrooge on the platforms they guard) to find a
Diamond and a Cake waiting in the treasure boxes. Now make back towards the
rope on the right, climbing up one screen.
Here you will climb upwards immediately, jumping into the opening on the
left at the very first opportunity to avoid the falling Boulder coming from
above, and then climb up the rope to find a Beagle Boy patrolling on the
left. when he is near the wall to his left, Pogo Cane off of him and clear
the top of the all to Golf Swing at an unseen barrier till it moves,
allowing Scrooge to go collect a Red Diamond from a treasure chest. After
killing the Beagle Boy again, look for a hidden treasure chest near the wall
to get a Diamond, then head right past the rope to look for one more hidden
Diamond on the ledge there. Scrooge will then jump to the right to land on
a yellow platform that moves, riding it till he has to jump to a ledge
above. Look for a Cake to appear from thin air on these ledges, then jump
to the right to the waiting platform, where a few more jumps will lead
Scrooge through a narrow opening to the BOSS FIGHT!
8) Take off to where few men have gone, and no ducks surely have either!
Amazing sights to be seen, and amazing treasures (one REALLY great one)
await Scrooge here. The Direct Path will take Scrooge right up to the
Boss, while the Money Path will cover how to get the most treasure as he
explores.
o-------------o
Direct Path
o-------------o
Head past the Small Alien and the Space Duck to Pogo Cane off the piled
bricks to make a Magical Coin appear, which allows Scrooge to run to the
right plowing through the Space Ducks to reach the rope leading into a
gigantic UFO! Once you are inside, head up the rope above to the next deck
of the ship, moving left to face Space Ducks as Scrooge Pogo Canes over the
large obstacles while passing through narrow openings (if a Space Duck
enters the narrow opening, wait for him to come out to you before passing
through yourself). Take the rope leading up to find the Key To The UFO in
a treasure chest on the left!
Now backtrack to the first deck where you entered the ship, this time moving
to the right, killing off Small Aliens and Large Aliens to reach a rope
leading up a deck. Jump off the rope and grab the rope directly above that
one to climb up one more deck, this time moving to the left passageway to
fight Space Ducks to reach the UFO Door. With the key in hand, move right
through to find some Small Aliens guarding the Remote Control, which is
needed to get Gizmoduck to help Scrooge out!
Now you should head back down to the entrance/exit of the UFO, climb down
the rope, and then carefully hop down to the ledge on the right. Now
continue moving right, facing Space Ducks as you come to a massive hole
where a Small Alien and a moving platform are over the pit. Use the Pogo
Cane to launch Scrooge onto the moving platform, then continue to Pogo Cane
as you make Scrooge bounce over the Small Alien to hit the moving platform
once more before Pogo Caning to the solid cliff on the right! Now move
past the Small Aliens and Space Ducks to reach a green wall, at which point
Gizmoduck will blast it apart for Scrooge, showing him a rope leading
downward!
Upon arriving, look to the right of block stack for two Ice Creams (if
needed) before striking out to the left to find money stealing Beagle Boys
as you advance towards a narrow opening that leads into the BOSS FIGHT!
========
Moon Rat
========
To start, the rat will be in the middle of the room. It will then raise
the hair on it's back before charging into a bottom corner OR jumping up to
a higher ledge before bouncing back down to the middle again. The Moon Rat
will keep this up till he or Scrooge is down for the count. Start off by
getting Scrooge out of the corner he is trapped in, Pogo Cane the rat when
it comes back from wherever it first moved to, and then from there
continually use his Pogo Cane to attack the rat as it moves around. Five
total hits and you will have successfully killed off the rat to gain the
Green Cheese of The Moon!
o------------o
Money Path
o------------o
Start out by killing the Small Alien, bouncing off of a Space Duck above the
rock pile to make a Magical Coin appear, and then use a second Space Duck to
Pogo Cane up to the two treasure chests high in the air (two Diamonds are
your prizes). Now move right past more Space Ducks, Pogo Cane above the
rock pile for Ice Creams, and then climb the rope over the pit into the
Alien UFO.
Head left right away, fighting both types of Aliens (Smalle and Large) to
find a treasure chest with a Diamond before Pogo Caning across the Spikes to
find two more treasure chests (one with Ice Cream, one with a Red Diamond).
Return to the entrance of the UFO, climb the rope above the one that you
took to enter to go up a deck to go right to the stacked balls to jump
around to find a Mini-Diamond and a Red Diamond. Now move to the left to
face Space Ducks as Scrooge Pogo Canes over the large obstacles while
passing through narrow openings (if a Space Duck enters the narrow opening,
wait for him to come out to you before passing through yourself). You will
find a hidden Diamond near the second obsatcle you pass over, then kill the
Small Aliens before Golf Swinging the spool into the wall so a Pogo Cane
will be enough to enter the passage there. Inside this room is a hidden
Diamond, a hidden Cake, and a treasure chest containing a Red Diamond.
Now head back out to fight the revived Small Aliens before climbing the rope
upwards to go left to kill a Small Alien so Scrooge can find a treasure
chest containing the Key To The UFO! Now move to the right to find Small
Aliens and Launchpad, so fight the Small Aliens until they surrender enough
Diamonds to make your fifth money digit from the right (ie ten thousands) a
7, and then speak to Launchpad to end up getting the bonus area with Gyro
Gearloose before returning to Duckburg. Now repeat the same steps
previously, with the exception being not collecting the Key To The UFO (you
already have it) and going to see launchpad (he is now gone).
Return back to the entrance of the UFO, this time moving to the right,
killing both Small Aliens and Large Aliens to find a rope. However, use
your Pogo Cane across the Spikes to find a hidden Mini-Diamond as well as
two treasure chests containing a Diamond and a Red Diamond before climbing
the rope to the next deck. Head right (use your Golf Swing to break through
the bricks) to find a treasure chest with a Cake inside as well as two
hidden treasure chests with two Diamonds inside. Now move to the left side
of the rope, killing the Small Aliens while uncovering two hidden Diamonds
and a hidden Cake before climbing the rope up to the next deck.
Remember that this floor has continual Space Duck attacks to deal with in
the main hallway areas. Head to the right of the rope here to find three
hidden Diamonds, then backtrack to the rope to jump across to the left side
to fight Space Ducks to find a couple hidden Ice Creams on the way to the
door in the UFO. Three Small Aliens will be guarding the Remote Control,
which can summon Gizmoduck to assist Scrooge! If you need to refill your
stamina, Pogo Cane in the middle of the same platform and press UP to find a
hidden rope that leads to Ms. Beakly (remember to use your Pogo Cane when
you exit this room or the Small Aliens will damage Scrooge).
Return to the rope and head upwards to the outside where a Large Alien
patrols, guarding a treasure chest containing a Red Diamond. Now look over
at the right side of the platform to see a couple Small Aliens floating in
the air for no apparent reason. Use your Pogo Cane to bounce off of them to
the right, finding single Spike platforms to Pogo Cane across to find a
gigantic treasure chest containing a Hidden Treasure (Golden Mirror)! Now
Pogo Cane across the Spikes and Small Aliens again, arriving back on solid
UFO, meaning you should now retrace your steps back to the UFO
entrance/exit.
Climb down the rope, carefully hop down to the ledge on the right, and then
continue to the right to find a large pit with Space Ducks, a Small Alien,
and a moving platform waiting for Scrooge. Use the Pogo Cane to launch
Scrooge onto the moving platform, then continue to Pogo Cane as you make
Scrooge bounce over the Small Alien to hit the moving platform once more
before Pogo Caning to the solid cliff on the right! Take out the Small
Aliens as Scrooge moves to the right to find the wall waiting, at which
point Gizmoduck will blast it down, revealing the rope that leads downward!
Upon arriving, look to the right of block stack for two Ice Creams (if
needed) before striking out to the left to find money stealing Beagle Boys
as you advance towards a narrow opening that leads into the BOSS FIGHT!
9) Finish the first five areas to find your way into this fight, so no
reading here if you wish to avoid spoilers for the game's plot. This
portion has no treasure to gain, so one path is all that is needed for
finishing this area.
o-------------o
Direct Path
o-------------o
Go right to find a Skeletal Duck, followed by moving past Webbigail and
head down the stairs and then up the rope. On this screen, move into the
small passage on the right to use a Golf Swing on the Mummy, and then repeat
this on the other Mummies to reach the next rope. Head up that rope to the
next floor of the mansion.
Now head right to pass through an illusion wall to find two mirrors on
pedestals. Ignore the first one and enter the one on the right to be warped
to another section of the mansion. Head left through this area while
dodging the Ghosts to find a narrow opening leading to the BOSS FIGHT!
============
Dracula Duck
============
He seems a bit shy as he does not appear for several seconds, but soon he
will materialize to unleash a bat before disappearing once more. He will
continue to put on this magic show, so Scrooge will have to get him while
Dracula Duck is visible. When he lets a bat loose that flies lower to the
ground than most of his other ones, you use a timed Pogo Cane to attack
that bat, using the gained height to hit Dracula Duck before he has a chance
to dematerialize to move elsewhere. If you perform a perfect Pogo Cane, you
can actually hurt him without using a bat, but this is exceptionally tough
to do. Perform this for five successful hits to beat him, but you are done
yet...
====================================
Magica DeSpell & Flintheart Glomgold
====================================
After beating Dracula Duck, get ready to see this duo appear (Magica DeSpell
in her vulture form carrying Glomgold). Your job is to jump up to the rope
that will appear above, climb up two screens to find the top of a pedestal
where a single treasure chest sits, so get high enough up so Scrooge can
jump onto it, ending the race!
Congratulations on beating the game! Go enjoy the ending and be proud that
you succeeded!
Worth $10000, these are rather commonly found in Treasure Chests, in
invisible spots, inside level objects, and even some enemies carry them.
===========
Red Diamond
===========
Worth a whopping $50000, they are found only in Treasure Chests and
invisible spots. Be sure to grab all of these that you can.
==============
Time Remaining
==============
After defeating an area's guardian and you grab the treasure for that
area, the remaining time will be added onto your money totals. To get
your bonus total, the ones column is reduced to a zero, and then the
remaining time is multiplied by 100 to get your bonus.
------------------------------------Enemies---------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
11)This section will put a name, description, attack abilities, and method
for defeating every enemy (Bosses in there own sub-section).
o-----------------o
Regular Enemies
o-----------------o
Name : Bat
Behaviour: Clinging to the ceiling, these normally docile animals will
spring to life and fly after Scrooge as he passes, diving right
at the floor (and Scrooge) when he gets near enough. The best
way to kill them is Golf Swing a ball into them, but sometimes
you will have to bait them into diving into the ground so Scrooge
can Pogo Cane them.
Drops : Nothing.
Area : African Mines.
Name : Beagle Boys
Behaviour: These criminals will saunter towards Scrooge, trying to use their
feeble jumping ability to run into Scrooge. However, they do not
only damage Scrooge if the manage to touch him, but they also
remove some money from his totals as well! Pogo Cane them to rid
Scrooge of these annoyances.
Drops : Diamond ($10000).
Area : Transylvania, African Mines, The Himalayas, The Moon.
Name : Bee
Behaviour: Flying across the screen in a wavy pattern, hoping Scrooge will
run into them. They will often appear in areas where little room
is available to maneuver, or deadly pits/other enemies are nearby
to cause further damage.
Drops : Mini-Diamonds ($2000).
Area : The Amazon.
Name : Boulder
Behaviour: These big rolling granite nightmares will appear without warning
from a ceiling, chasing (or charging at) Scrooge McDuck with the
intent of running him over. They appear in the same areas, so
memorize where they like to make their appearances.
Drops : None.
Area : The Amazon, African Mines, The Himalayas.
Name : Brambles
Behaviour: They lie in big groups, waiting for Scrooge to step on them. They
often protect valuable treasure, and they will also appear below
sets of vines. Pogo Cane across them to avoid damage, but be wary
of ones in the ceiling when doing so.
Drops : None.
Area : The Amazon, Transylvania.
Name : Ghost
Behaviour: Appearing from above and below, they swoop through the air,
hunting down Scrooge. They can also appear from coffins if
Scrooge whacks the wrong coffin. They are unkillable, so avoid
them at all costs.
Drops : None.
Area : Transylvania.
Name : Gorilla
Behaviour: Running forward in a straight line, this guy will jump most
barriers. A simple Pogo Cane or Golf Swing an object into one to
rid yourself of it.
Drops : Mini-Diamond ($2000).
Area : The Amazon.
Name : Green Jumper
Behaviour: Hiding in deadly pits, they pop out of these death traps in an
attempt to hit Scrooge and knock him into his death. A Pogo Cane
can kill them, which is usually how to deal with them as they make
an extra stepping stone for Scrooge on those longer pit jumps...
Drops : Nothing.
Area : African Mines.
Name : Icicle
Behaviour: These sharp objects will fall from the roof sometimes, other
times they are immobile. Either way, having one of these fall on
Scrooge would not be good for his health. Avoid them as they can
not be destroyed.
Drops : None.
Area : The Himalayas.
Name : Jack Rabbit
Behaviour: These little guys burrow underneath the crust of the snow, jumping
out into the open for a second before returning to the snow to do
the exact same thing in the opposite direction. A Pogo Cane will
put them in their place rather easily.
Drops : Diamond ($10000).
Area : The Himalayas.
Name : Large Alien
Behaviour: Walking back and forth between two objects, these portly aliens
will often be positioned in area that Scrooge must go. Pogo Cane
them to remove these annoyances from your path.
Drops : Diamond ($10000).
Area : The Moon.
Name : Mighty Duck
Behaviour: This hockey stick wielding maniac hides behind a Jason mask,
indicating he is not a friendly duck. He will use his hockey
stick as he skates around to hit ice blocks at great speeds in an
attempt to pick off McDuck. Pogo Cane him quick or use a Golf
Swing on an object to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Drops : Cake.
Area : The Himalayas.
Name : Mountain Goat
Behaviour: Bouncing along merrily, these hopping enemies can be a real pain
to not get hurt by. A Pogo Cane will kill them, but this can be
exceptionally tough to do as their bouncing trajectories make
them difficult to get an attack on top of them.
Drops : Ice Cream.
Area : The Himalayas.
Name : Mummy
Behaviour: Chained to a heavy ball, they shamble back and forth, hoping a
victim will come within reach. They can be beat by Golf Swinging
their ball into them, or a Pogo Cane to the head if room allows
it.
Drops : Ice Cream.
Area : Transylvania.
Name : Native
Behaviour: Running forward, he will stop periodically to throw a spear
forward. Rather fast, you will need an accurate Pogo Cane attack
to bring this annoyance down.
Drops : Diamond ($10000).
Area : The Amazon.
Name : Skeletal Duck
Behaviour: These guys scamper along the ground. moving back and forth
between walls, crunching up the weaker bricks they encounter.
A Pogo Cane is the recommended method of killing these little
beasts, but they are vulnerable only to attack when they are
mobile.
Drops : Diamond ($10000).
Area : Transylvania.
Name : Slime
Behaviour: Crawling back and forth on their ledges, these slow and sluggish
enemies hope that their narrow perches can make it difficult for
Scrooge to Pogo Cane onto. They are not dangerous, but they can
be positioned to be a big pain.
Drops : Mini-Diamond ($2000).
Area : African Mines.
Name : Small Alien
Behaviour: They usually patrol a small area of the air, flying back and
forth without pause. They are usually positioned in areas that
Scrooge will need to go, but they can also be used as stepping
stones. A Pogo Cane will make short work of these annoyances.
Drops : Diamond ($10000).
Area : The Moon.
Name : Snake
Behaviour: All this lazy bad guy does is sit there, occasionally popping up
it's head in the air. Pogo Jump it or just avoid this joke of a
threat.
Drops : Mini-Diamond ($2000).
Area : The Amazon
Name : Space Duck
Behaviour: Flying through the air on their jetpacks, they will land in front
of Scrooge, hop forward, and then begin to throw punches when they
near the rich old Duck. They are not too tough to deal with (a
simple Pogo Cane kills them), but they will usually attack in
areas with little room for Scrooge to maneuver in.
Drops : Ice Cream.
Area : The moon.
Name : Spider
Behaviour: Hanging from the ceiling, these arachnids will drop down on a
spider thread whenever Scrooge nears. Unless a handy object is
nearby to Golf Swing into the insect, Scrooge will have to time
his passage underneath them so they can not attack him.
Drops : None.
Area : The Amazon, The Himalayas.
Name : Spikes
Behaviour: These lines of sharp metal also have some current running through
them, just to make sure Scrooge "gets the point". They can be
Pogo Caned across safely when they are on the ground, but when
they are on the ceiling, all you can do is avoid them. No way to
kill them, so avoid/Pogo Cane to not get damaged by them.
Drops : None.
Area : The Moon.
Name : Venus Flytrap
Behaviour: Sitting immobile on the ground (or ceiling sometimes), they will
start biting like crazy when Scrooge draws near. Avoid these guys
because they can not be killed through conventional means.
Drops : None.
Area : The Amazon, African Mines.
================
Incan Sentinel
================
This heavy, granite baddie is out to crush Scrooge into Duck pate, so be
ready to dodge his vicious attacks. The Incan Sentinel will slide along
the floor, jumping high into the air to crash into the ground below.
Scrooge must use his Pogo Cane to hit the enemy in the head 5 times to
destroy it, but remember that it is best to do this attack just after the
Sentinel has just landed from one of his arcing jumps (less likely he will
hop upwards and damage Scrooge).
================
Magica DeSpell
================
This classic opponent from the TV Series will use three methods of attack.
She will fly through the air in vulture form, she will drop to the ground,
and then she will throw three lightning bolts (one 90 degrees, one 45
degrees, and one directly forward) before repeating the pattern. To hurt
her, perform a Pogo Cane when she is flying low to the ground, or get her
just before or just after the lightning bolt attacks. If she is flying too
high, just avoid her and her lightning bolts as you wait for your openings
to get her as she flies, landing five blows to find the Golden Coin!
============
King Slime
============
This guy is a bigger, badder, more talented version of the small Slimes you
have been unmercifully stomping into paste through out the African Mines.
He will bounce twice in the middle of the room before rolling into a tight
ball and patrolling the outside of the room to come to a stop in the same
place in the middle of the room. Scrooge should dodge the rolling menace,
waiting for his chance to Pogo Cane the enemy. He is vulnerable when not
rolling around, so land one shot every time he stops to rest. Five hits and
he is history, surrendering the Massive Diamond!
====================
Abominable Snowman
====================
He will hop across the screen in two big leaps, followed by punching the
wall to cause snow to drop from above. He will then repeat this procedure
over and over till Scrooge is down for the count. To take him down, Pogo
Cane him just before he calls the snow down by punching the wall, dodge the
snow and his giant leaps, and then repeat the process four more times to
take this dangerous beast out to get the fabled Crown!
==========
Moon Rat
==========
To start, the rat will be in the middle of the room. It will then then
raise the hair on it's back before charging into a bottom corner OR jumping
up to a higher ledge before bouncing back down to the middle again. The
Moon Rat will keep this up till he or Scrooge is down for the count. Start
off by getting Scrooge out of the corner he is trapped in, Pogo Cane the rat
when it comes back from wherever it first moved to, and then from there
continually use his Pogo Cane to attack the rat as it moves around. Five
total hits and you will have successfully killed off the rat to gain the
Green Cheese of The Moon!
==============
Dracula Duck
==============
He seems a bit shy as he does not appear for several seconds, but soon he
will materialize to unleash a bat before disappearing once more. He will
continue to put on this magic show, so Scrooge will have to get him while
Dracula Duck is visible. When he lets a bat loose that flies lower to the
ground than most of his other ones, you use a timed Pogo Cane to attack
that bat, using the gained height to hit Dracula Duck before he has a chance
to dematerialize to move elsewhere. If you perform a perfect Pogo Cane, you
can actually hurt him without using a bat, but this is exceptionally tough
to do. Perform this for five successful hits to beat him, but you are done
yet...
======================================
Magica DeSpell & Flintheart Glomgold
======================================
After beating Dracula Duck, get ready to see this duo appear (Magica DeSpell
in her vulture form carrying Glomgold). Your job is to jump up to the rope
that will appear above, climb up two screens to find the top of a pedestal
where a single treasure chest sits, so get high enough up so Scrooge can
jump onto it, ending the race!
----------------------------------Game Secrets------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
12)This section will take a look at some Game Secrets as well as the
difference in the difficulty settings.
o------------------------------------------------o
Launchpad McQuack/Gyro Gearloose Diamond Bonus
o------------------------------------------------o
This is a bonus that has a 10% chance of happening by accident, and with the
know how, you can do this all of the time, gaining some extra money! To
perform this trick, find Launchpad McQuack. Now, when your fifth digit from
the right of the money total is a 7 (for example, 170000), talk to Launchpad
and say yes you wish to go back to Duckburg. As Launchpad flies through the
sky, he will suddenly veer downward to drop Scrooge off in a cloudy area!
Gyro Gearloose will then appear to drop off Diamonds (worth $10000 per
Diamond) as he moves along, so follow him to collect some extra cash. This
can be performed on every Launchpad in the game (exception being the small
airlift you get in The Amazon across a gap).
o------------------o
Hidden Treasures
o------------------o
Golden Ring : Found in the African Mines, after scaling down the first
chain in the level, go through the passage on the right (if
you go the right way, you will find Ms. Beakly). Now, start
to use Scrooge's Pogo Cane, and bounce off of the cliff to
the right, lining Scrooge up so he bounces off of the Green
Jumper that emerges from the pit below, then continue to the
right, bouncing off of each Green Jumper as it appears, to
finally reach the far ledge. Now jump the next gap to find
the gigantic treasure chest, so break it open to reveal the
$1000000 prize sitting inside for Scrooge to claim!
Golden Mirror: Return to the rope (from the Remote Control area in the
top-right portion of the UFO) and head upwards to the
outside where a Large Alien patrols, guarding a treasure
chest containing a Red Diamond. Now look over at the right
side of the platform to see a couple Small Aliens floating
in the air for no apparent reason. Use your Pogo Cane to
bounce off of them to the right, finding single Spike
platforms to Pogo Cane across to find a gigantic treasure
chest containing a Hidden Treasure!
o-------------------o
Stamina Extenders
o-------------------o
Transylvania: In the same area as a Beagle Boy, you can head to the right
eventually finding a rope leading off of the screen. Ignore
this rope, and head to the right, getting onto the coffin near
the wall, and walk through the illusion wall on the right,
finding a chest in the secret room that holds the Stamina
Extender!
Himalayas : After falling down into the ice caves portion of the level (if
you went down the visible hole, you have to head all the way
to the right, but taking the hidden hole will drop you on the
far right side), go down the rope on the far right side of the
level. From here, battle all the way across to the left side
of this area, hit the spool into the wall, and then Pogo Cane
off of it to then Pogo Cane Bubba out of his ice block, and he
will smash the wall open, revealing a treasure chest that
holds a Stamina Extender!
o---------------------o
Difficulty Settings
o---------------------o
Stamina : On Easy, each Hit Point takes two hits to remove, but on
Normal or Difficult only one hit is required to remove a
Hit Point.
Transylvania : On Easy or Normal, any treasure chests hidden in the suits
of armor will contain Cakes only. On Difficult, any
treasure chests hidden in the suits of armor will contain
Diamonds only.
Treasure Switches: Some Treasures will be altered in what they are when
Difficult mode is used, as some health restoring Items
become Diamonds, and Magical Coins become Ice Cream.
o---------------------------o
Bubba Glitch In Himalayas
o---------------------------o
This glitch is not helpful at all and is in fact a detriment to the health
of Scrooge McDuck! Find Bubba in the Himalayas (see the "Money Path"
walkthrough for details on how to find him), release him from his prison
with a Pogo Cane, but bounce to the left immediately after doing so and keep
bouncing on the spool against the wall. If this is times correctly, Bubba
will drive Scrooge into the snow BELOW the spool! However, if Bubba does
this, it will also cause him to just stand next to the wall, swinging his
club repeatedly. Normally he would speak to Scrooge before breaking the
wall to reveal the Stamina Extender, but he will just stay mute instead and
keep swinging his club uselessly! This means no Stamina Extender for
Scrooge, and you only get to release him once, meaning no coming back for
Bubba and the Stamina Extender again!
o-----------------------------o
King Slime Graphical Oddity
o-----------------------------o
This is not a big trick or anything, but can be kind of fun to perform for
others. Hit the King Slime four times to get him ready to die on the next
Pogo Cane attack. Now, try to time your Pogo Cane attack to hit the King
Slime JUST AS he is transforming back into his standing up form, which will
cause him to die as either a white ball or semi-opened white ball! Not a
big deal but it sure looks funny that a big, yellow blob would die in such a
small and wrongly-coloured manner!
o----------------------------o
Gizmoduck Rope Is Glitched
o----------------------------o
There is no real secret to this one. Whenever Gizmoduck blasts the green
blocks to make the rope appear, Scrooge can climb on a "phantom" rope beside
the real one, but only the real one will allow him access to the area below.
o-------------------------o
SELECT Refill for Money
o-------------------------o
SOmething not many people know about, but if you press SELECT during a
level, you will refill your life meter, but at a cost of 3 million dollars.
If you have less than 3 million dollars, you will spend all your cash for
the refill.
