Characters: Jack/Joker
Batman

Story Line
*spoilers*
The story starts off when batman is listening to a police call where there is
news that Jack escaped into a chemical factory, and batman goes after him.
After the first battle Jack falls into some chemicals changing him into the man
we know of as Joker. Joker comes back to haunt Batman and they clash again and
batman kills him forever.Or that's what I got from the hard to pick up
storyline.

Power-ups
Key: NAME; WHAT IS LOOKS LIKE; DESCRIPTION
- Extrashot; a gun in a white square; allows batman to shoot an extra bullet on
the screen at one time
- Less Shot; a gun in a black square; takes away one from the amount of shots
batman can fire at once
- Points; B in a circle; give 5,000 points
- Health; heart; restores 1/4 of Batman's health
- Batshield; the batman symbol; forms a shield around batman which can also hurt
the enemy at close range.
- Shortgun; S in a square; a gun that shoots only a short distance and does not
shoot through walls
- Normalgun; N in a square; the normal gun that you start with, its week and
can not go through walls
- Wavegun; W is a square; a powerful gun that shoots in a wave pattern and
can shoot through walls
- Powergun; P in a square; a powerful gun that goes in a straight line and
goes through walls
- Batgun; R in a square; shoots batman symbols that are extremely powerful,
shoots through walls, and slice and dices everything in its path as
it boomerangs through the screen.
- Lazer; T in a square; powerful gun that goes through enemies to hit things
past them, can shoot through walls and can hit three blocks in a row.
- Bomb; a vertical candy or firecracker; Destroys all enemies on the screen
*there is a pill looking power-up that I have no idea what does. sorry, you can
still beat the game without knowing.

Hints
- You have an unlimited amount of continues, so relax
- If there is a power-up block that you know will be unavoidable if you shoot
it, first pass it and then shoot back at it, that way you can go back
and get it if it is good stuff and continue if its not.
- 2,00,000 points give you an extra life
- To defeating the gunmen just wait until they walk away from you, then get
level with them and shoot

Walkthrough
level: 1-1, Gotham City
At the beginning of the level pick up the Extrashot. Go forward and after a
few men there is a man that shoots at you coming down the stairs, shoot him and
dodge his bullet. Keep moving through the level until you get to your first pit,
to make it easy destroy the first two vertical blocks keeping the second pair of
vertical block, a health should be in the top left. Jump into the blocks and
that will take you straight down onto the platform. There will then be a
gunman walking toward you, wait on the ledge until he just drops into the pit.
Take the low road on the next option and pick up the power-ups, then keep going
and take the high rode to avoid the enemies. As you come to the pit area
continue taking the high road, even when you see the power-up lower, ignore it,
there are better power-ups on the high route. A few more jumps and congrats
you just beat the first level.
level: 1-2, Chemical Factory
Immediately you are met by a gunman, destroy him and continue until you are met
with two gunmen, dodge there bullets until they are stuck at the bottom and
continue. There is not much to say, it's kinda repetitive. Your met by a new
enemy, the tank, its just a stronger gunman that jumps. A tip for defeating
the gunmen is to just wait until they walk away from you, then get level with
them and shoot. There is only one way to go in this level so keep going,
avoid and destroy enemies and before you know it you will
be done with the level.
level; 1-3, Chemical Factory 2
Soon after you start the level, tanks come at you, to destroy them, duck and
shoot. After a little bit a power-up of Batshot, an R in a square, will appear
over a pit. Get this while jumping over the pit, it is very handing while
fighting jack. Continue some tricky jumps while destroying the tanks in one
shot with your new power weapon. Soon there will be an extra life over a pit,
grab it if you want but it is a risk. Continue and grab the health at the end
of the first set of jumps. Then a pit part with magically levitating ledges
comes within view. Tip: wait until the ledges are directly above you and then
jump straight up. Forget about the power-up below, just focus on getting to the
other side. After that a few tanks will come at you, and then a extra life will
be in the middle of a pit, forget about it. Continue and then you have
completed the level.

Boss: Jack
zzzzzzzzzz
Jack will walk toward you firing his shots, not straight, but at you. So dodge
them while lighting him up with whatever you have, hopefully the Batgun. Every
once in a while the jerk jumps. This is hard to avoid if you are trying to jump
over him. Keep jumping over him as he get close to you, then run to the other
side and shoot him, continue this until he is defeated.

level: 2-1, Gotham City
Start off and shoot the chump thugs that jump at you and pick up the Extrashot.
When you come up to a set of pits with pillars in it, jump from pillar to pillar
quickly because piece of who knows what drop from the top onto the pillars.
Go back and shoot the trash block things and then get the power-ups.
This pillar jumping happens again, but this time it stops on the third pillar
so relax. There are two blocks blocking your way of the jump, ones a power-up
block, don't shoot it. If you can jump over do it, I don't know if that is
possible because I always get fooled. It is a less shot that is unavoidable if
you shoot the block. Continue through the level there is another chance to get
Batgun, before a pit if for some reason you don't have it still. Hint: if there
is a power-up block that you know will be unavoidable if you shoot it, first
pass it and then shoot back at it, that way you can go back and get it if it
is good stuff and continue if it's not. Pretty soon the end door will be in
your sights.
level: 2-2, Flugalhiem Museum
Start off and move forward, when you come to an option to go high or low go
high, and you could possibly pick up the laser, if you prefer that over the
Batshot or if you have anything worse. Continue staying the highest possible
that you can. Soon you will come across a jump/pit area with stationary
magically floating ledges. Jump from ledge to ledge and when you come to the
high one right before the end do not be tempted to try to make it across, just
drop down to the lower one then jump to the end. A few more easy tasks and
you have completed 2-2.
level: 2-3, Flugalhiem Museum 2
When you come to the first option of high or low, choose the high route and pass
some deadly museum security guards. There is a low area to the high route that
is very skinny, soon after this about 4 flour patterns over there is an
invisible pit, if you look close enough you can see slightly black outline.
Jump over these and look for others throughout the level. But drop down
sometime before the end unless you have a gun that is worse than the wavegun.
On the next option, TAKE THE TOP ROAD! The bottom road is terrible. On the
next crazy option of high or low jump into the middle slot. Then go directly to
the right wall and jump up into a secret pathway. Go forward and get the
power-ups. When you get to the pit area jump on the ledges and wait until the
next one is directly above you and jump straight up. When you see the door
shoot it and then jump above it hitting the wall, hold right, and when you get
level with it you will slide in.

Level: 3-1, Batwing stage
This level can be passed easily in the beginning stages if the shoot forward
button is held down while you move up and down across the screen. When the big
helicopter comes down just align up with it and continue shooting. It should
explode before it can fire. Soon after this big planes will enter from the
back so go to the front and backfire at them, two will come from the top, then
two from the bottom, then one from the top and the bottom at the same time so
pick one and dodge the other. That will happen again. Then two from the top,
two from the bottom. After this big helicopters will come from the back, while
you back fire these small copters will come from the front. After the
helicopters die down quickly move to the back because extremely fast kamikaze
blimps are coming. When you are done with these mad blimps move to the top of
the screen, missiles will enter, stay in one place and backfire or front fire
depending on which way they come from and when there is a space where one just
got destroyed slip in. Scoot to the front after and backfire at the Unabomber
planes speeding toward you while dodging the missiles from beneath.
Then before the boss missiles will come from the front.

Boss: Flying gunship
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
First it flies around the screen, just ignore it now, maybe backfire when it
come within aim, but don't chase it. It comes then to the front and shoots a
wave of bullets, the bullets move slow so hit the boss while then are coming
but make sure you leave enough time to get out of the way. He does this
three time and then moves to the left part of the screen to spray bullets
randomly, just move forward and don't get hit, don't worry about hitting
it either while it is doing this. He will move back and do the same thing
over and over until you destroy him.
level: 3-2, batwing stage 2
Move forward continually shooting forward. When you reach the clown/cloud thing
stay towards the bottom of the screen and rapid fire the new enemies that
come out from beneath, they are homing and to destroy them right away would
make them a lot eisier. Keep, moving forward as random missiles, blimps, and
planes enter. After the line of blimps ends a few planes will come, as soon as
they are gone you will run into the first of two bosses.

Boss 1: Airplane
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Before he comes onto the screen move to the very front and middle as possible
and continuely backfire. As it enters it will fly right into your line of fire.
When it gets close enough move out of the way and center your self in the middle
on the other side of the screen. It will enter again into your line of fire.
Soon it will move up and down spraying bullets. Here just move all the way down
to the bottom, stay there and keep shooting. the bullet will not hit you and
yours will hit it every time he comes down. Then it will fly below the screen,
when he does this move up and forward QUICKLY. Move to the front center like
the begining and keep repeating until it is dead. This boss is very easy and you
should not get hit beacuse you need your health for the next boss.

Boss 2: Helicopter
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Start off the same way as the first boss. When the helicopter returns from the
front of the screen it will shoot one bullet that splits into a wall. Don't
worry one bullet comes at you at a time and they are very easy to dodge if you
pay attention to them. As for the helicopter it doesn't move so keep spraying
him as you dodge the bullets. After awhile of that the tricky part happens.
It deploys four gun sprayers for each corner of the screen while the helicopter
shoots a barrage of bullets in almost every direction. Good luck this part is
hard, but here's a tip: stay to the left but not at the way and a little below
center. The bullets from the helicopter won't hit you and all you need to
worry about are the four corners. The helicopters doesn't move so when you are
dodging keep firing and eventually he will go down if flames.

level: 4-1, Gotham Cathedral
Move forward, if you don't have a better weapon get the Wavegun at the beginning
of the level, it's handy for shooting through the walls, which is needed a lot
in this level. When you get a options for high or low rputes, it doesn't matter
just continue. After you shoot the stationary tanks through the wall jump up and
get the Batshield and continue. You will soon some to a cave, in the cave is
easy access to an Extrashot, make sure you pick it up and the continue to the
pit area. In this pit area the ledges are just going to move straight up and
down so it is easy, jump to the other side. Here there will be low rider
enemies, duck shoot to be able to get them. Then pit jump to the other side,
pick up the health if you need it and forget about the Extralife
in the left top corner. A few more pits and your done
level: 4-2, Gotham Cathedral 2
Warning: the screen starts moving at the start of the level. You have to keep
moving forward. When you get of the ledges that are in front of the stationary
cannons duck fire, that way they can't hit you, which is much needed in this
level. Forget about the power-ups, except for a few, these: When you get to
the area with two moving tanks on each side of a little pit and two power-up
blocks break the little one and get the heart. Another good power up to get
is soon after this where there are two stationary guns above two moving tanks,
take the low road where there is one power-up block, a bomb, then run jump off
to the next platform. Warning: that is a hard jump so if you want to play it
safe go on the high road. Also after the very long and hard pit part there
is a power-up block laying there in easy access with a heart, grab it,
shoot some tanks and your done.

Boss: Joker
zzzzzzzzzzz
Joker fights similar to the way he did as Jack except that he stays more
centralized and has an attack where he shoots three bullets, jump over it.
Before he shoots his triple shot he pauses in place for a second.
Keep running away from him and duck shooting him with all you got. He takes
A LOT of shots, so be patient, the satisfaction
of completing the game is awaiting you.
