Quick Fill Q is a simple DSiWare game available at a low price. Basically,
the game consists of protecting a rolling ball known as Q from falling into
gaps that appear in its way. You achieve this by breaking larger blocks on
the touch screen to fit into the gaps on the top screen. There are three
difficulty levels to choose from, with Easy being the most casual of all
while Normal/Hard provide a much more fast-paced adventure. It is a good way
to kill some time, but it doesn't leave much replay value aside from that.
Try it if you like; at least it will only put you back a couple of dollars at
most.

================
General Gameplay
================

The objective of the game is very simple. You will see the main character
called Q continually rolling along a flat path. Along the way, gaps will
appear, and that is where you come in. The gaps will be of different shapes,
so you need to break apart blocks to fit into the gaps, providing a path for
Q to cross over. If Q falls into a gap, you lose a life. Initially you start
with just three lives, but you can get more later. The path Q takes, along
with the gaps in its path, all appear on the top screen.

As for the touch screen below, that is where you can control what happens.
You will see a large block comprised of smaller blocks aligned in a grid. The
size of the block (and as a result the potential size of the gaps) is
determined by your difficulty setting (3x3 in Easy, 4x4 in Normal, and 5x5
for Hard). If you tap/select a portion of the larger block, you will break
off that piece, shaping the block to your needs.

When you are done shaping the block, press "OK" to send it to the top screen,
where you can line it up and position it into the gap. If you made a mistake,
you can tap "Reset to start again with a fresh block. Last, if you place a
block into a gap and extra pieces are sticking out of the ground, you can use
the "Hammer" to break off those excess pieces (this is only possible if you
filled the gap below as best as possible and perhaps forgot to remove extra
blocks from the top of your shape). Once the block is sent to the top screen,
you have 10 seconds to place it properly before it disappears and you have to
create a new shape, so be quick!

In the Easy difficulty, the shapes will be simpler to fill. As you progress
through that mode (or if you start on Normal/Hard), the shapes will be more
complicated and may require multiple blocks to completely fill. For instance,
if there is a gap with a hole within its walls, you will need to use a very
small block to slide into the opening before progressing. The ENTIRE gap must
be filled in order to proceed. The game won't let you place a block if it
will prevent you from reaching other parts of the gap below the ground, or if
you intentionally place a block above the gap.

===================
Scoring/Extra Lives
===================

Your "score" is based entirely on how far Q rolls along its path (starting
from 1F). Since you do not get the option to save your game, the game ends
when you finally lose your lives. Naturally, you lose one by allowing Q to
fall into a gap. There is a separate (hidden) tally of the number of gaps you
fill. For every 10 gaps you fill, you will see a "Speed Up" message, which
means Q's rolling speed increases ever so slightly. After you reach 30 gaps
filled, the number needed for the next Speed Up increases, as follows:

10 (+10)
20 (+10)
30 (+10)
42 (+12)
55 (+13)
69 (+14)
84 (+15)
102 (+18)
123 (+21)

This pattern continues in a similar manner, as you can see. It is also
observed that you receive an extra life for every 30 gaps you fill, starting
around #31. In Easy mode, the tally will fly up rather quickly with ease,
though in Normal/Hard you will certainly need to work on it more fervently.
If you choose to quit playing in the middle of a game, your score will NOT be
recorded! It may be slow but if you really need your score to be recorded on
the Ranking list, simply allow Q to die off.
