5a) UK PUZZLE W01: PUZZLING POSTAGE DATE: 22/10/10

HINT : This is a poorly-worded puzzle but I will try to clarify. You are
looking for four stamps that will total the highest possible value.
However, you must be able to add the values of these stamps so that
you can hit every increment of 10 up to this highest possible value.
This means that it would be pointless including the highest four
stamps because you couldn't hit all the increments. To help you out,
you should know that the highest possible value is 150. So you need to
be able to hit: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 etc., all the way up to 150.

HINT : This is what is known as a perfect number. To my knowledge, a perfect
number will either end in a 6 or an 8. The number 28 is the second

Using the information above, you can work out there there are only 5
possible answers with the rule I have provided. Even if the rule is
proven wrong in the future, it still applies nicely to this puzzle.
Then you just have to do the working out to find the answer.
