Custom Robo is a fighting game (sort of) for Nintendo DS. In my opinion, this
is by far the best fighting game for the NDS. This is the first Custom Robo
game I played, and I greatly enjoyed it. So much so that it got me to play all
other Custom Robo games (V1, V2, GX, Battle Revolution, and this), and this is
by far the best one of them all. Not that the other games were bad or
anything. Truly well done.
I obtained most of the basic information from NinjaPengui's Parts Guide, and he
gave me his full permission to use his guide as I see fit to make my guide
(including copy/paste). However, his guide is missing all the hidden features
and abilities of the parts. And there is a lot. Basic information just is not
enough to evaluate how good/bad certain parts are. So, I took the liberty to
rigorously test out the parts to discover all the hidden features. Seriously,
you will not believe what I went through to get all these information.
Having said that, I am probably still missing few things. If anyone discovers
more hidden abilities about the parts, email me and I will update this guide.

There are several things you need to know about my guide:
1. I changed some in-game stats (displayed with [] bars), simply because some
of them were just wrong. For example, Ray MK II's Defense stat indicates
that it has better Defense than Ray MK III, but it clearly doesn't. Some
weapons (ex: Wave Bomb) did more damage than the stats indicated, because
they did more hits. So, I made the corrections in my guide.
2. I did not modify some in-game stats (ex: Speed, Homing), because I could not
confirm. Actually, I could confirm them all if I analyzied things frame by
frame (I could), but I was simply too lazy to do so.
3. Some special notes were in the in-game part descriptions, but I was unable
to confirm.
4. Obviously, I was not able to test EVERYTHING, since some things didn't even
come across my mind. If you think I should test something, contact me.

How to read:
Name ------------------ Style Type (Power/Speed/Defense/Other)
Offense ----------- Increase (or decrease) of weapon damages.
Defense ----------- Ability to reduce damage.
Endurance --------- Ability to resist Knockdown (KD).
Speed ------------- Maximum ground running speed.
Aerial ------------ Jump speed, jump height, and/or Air-Move speed.
Melee: Type/Power/Description of the melee attack.
Air-Action: Type of the Air-Action and its maximum number.
Jump Speed: Descending speed increase per frame in the air.
Air-Move Speed: Maximum sideway air movement speed.
Air-Dash Speed: Maximum air-dash speed. (does not apply to Air-Jump)
KD-Defense: Damage taken when KDed, relative to the Defense stat.
Note: Any special notes.
Style: Most legal models have particular "styles". And these styles come with
bonuses. These are the rough estimates of the bonuses.
Power: +5% Power for all weapons
Speed: +5% Running Speed, Acceleration, and Air-Move Speed
Armor: +5% Defense, Endurance, and KD-Defense
Air Action Types:
Air-Dash: - Uses a booster to get to a direction quickly.
- Cannot do anything during the dash.
Air-Jump: - Does another jump in mid-air.
- The speed varies, depending on the movement of the jumper.
- Enhancements that affect normal jump also affect Air-Jump.
Stealth-Dash: - Same as Air-Dash, except Robo is invisible during the dash.
- Immune to Gun attacks.
- Cannot do anything during the dash.
Sky-Dash: - Flies in a direction, which can be changed slightly.
- You have no recoil (still takes time to reload) for all
weapons during the flight.
Melee-related Symbols:
[NS]: Not Safe Start (not invincible when the melee starts)
[SR]: Short Recoil (can almost immediately be followed up with an action)
[MR]: Moving Recoil (continues to move during the non-invincible recoil)
[SV]: Short Vulnerability (non-Red parts) when spammed
[U]: Knock Up
[D]: Knock Down
[B]: Knock Back
[F]: Knock Forward
Directions can be combined. (ex: [UB] is Up-Back)
Note 1: The offense and defense powers listed are relative to the test dummy.
The offense power was tested using Apollo, since it had the same power
as the test dummy. The defense power was tested using V Laser from
Ray MK III since it did exactly 100 damage to the test dummy.
Note 2: The body is the most important part among all the parts, since it
MAJORLY affects the playing style. And while the basic stats are
important, all the "extra" portions of the body are just as important.
Note 3: During the melee attacks, robos are invincible only during the "red"
part.
Note 4: Slow jumps have both advantages and disadvantages: Advantage is that it
gives you longer time to move in the air; Disadvantage is that you
cannot dodge attacks as quickly in aerial ascend/descend.
Note 5: *: Can be advantage or disadvantage, depending on your combat style.

Note 6: Typically, when the robo is downed (KD), it takes 30% of the Melee/Gun
damage and 50% of Bomb/Pod damage, relative to the Defense. However,
Armor style robos take 25% and 45% instead. There are many
excxeptions, so refer to the KD-Defense stat.

Note 1: All guns (actually, even bombs and pods) cannot simply be based on the
stats, because there are several other factors - ammos per clip
(pressing the shoot button once empties the clip), range, recoil,
target placement, etc. Also, many guns fire differently when shot in
the air. Consider them all.
Note 2: All guns have different maximum ranges, but the game lists them only in
three categories: Short, Mid, and Long. In fact, some of these
"categories" are plain wrong. For example, Needle Gun (Mid-Range) goes
much further than Halo Gun (Long-Range). That's why I listed Range as
a separate category.
Note 3: All guns have various ranges, but some have different effects,
depending on the distance the target was hit. While some guns will do
more damage at a certain distance, other guns do fixed damage
regardless of the distance. Some guns may do less damage but more
knockdown at a certain distance.
Note 4: Many guns do different things when shot in the air. These differences
may be as little as 0.1 second in reloading time, while others may be
completely different shots.
Note 5: The guns which hit more than once sometimes do less damage than the
calculated damage, because the previous hits knocked down the target
(downed targets take far less damage). Also, some of the bullets may
miss because the previous bullets moved the target away.
Note 6: I was unable to confirm pretty much anything other than the Damage.
I couldn't really tell the minor differences for both Speed and Homing,
and KD stats differed depending on the range the shot hit. And Reload
was difficult to determine because some guns started reloading long
after the last shot was fired, whereas other guns started reloading
right away. Even Attack stat was difficult, because for many guns,
range determined how powerful they were. So, I just left all stats
from the game as it is.

Note 1: All speed enhancements (Air-Dash speed, running speed, jump speed, etc)
varies depending on the Body of the robo.
Note 2: When I say "Air-Dash", I am referring to all types of Air-Dashes,
except Air-Jump (that's affected by Jump enhancements).
Note 3: Slow jumps have both advantages and disadvantages: Advantage is that it
gives you longer time to move in the air; Disadvantage is that you
cannot dodge attacks as quickly in aerial ascend/descend.
