1. Welcome!
================================================

This is Sonic Adventure: Emblems Guide! Sonic Adventure is the best
game I've played in a long time, and really shows off Dreamcast and
shows up PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and PC. This game is so fast that it
might take you a while to get used to Sonic's speed. If you thought
Sonic R was fast, man, are you in for a surprise. This game really
brings back the classic 2D Sonic gameplay straight into 3D. Sonic Team
did a really beautiful job on this game.

Hello! Forgot to introduce myself! So read the next section to get the
lowdown on ME, the author, and your guide to 130 Emblems!

3. Introduction
================================================

Yeah, so you've heard me rave on how fab Sonic Adventure looks, how
fast the game runs, and how fun it is to play. But what about replay
value? Not to worry, hard-core players. Sonic Team has included 130
Emblems to earn, obtain, and find in this humongous game. This Guide is
here to assist you in reaching that goal of 101%. And don't worry, I
actually got all 130 myself, so I'm not copying offa someone else's
work. ;)

This Guide is not for the inexperienced player. Most of the require-
ments for the Emblems demand a skilled and refined playing style, and
many of the maneuvers required for getting some of the Adventure Field
Emblems the "weird" way are pretty tricky. So make sure you know how
to make gut-instinct maneuvers, tricky jumps and are familiar with
every characters' moves.

First, a quick briefing on the nature of the Emblems.

Emblems are rather large medal-looking items that can be obtained from
Action Stages, Sub-Games, found in Adventure Fields, and hidden in
various other places. They look very much like the Power-Up item in
Sonic R for Saturn and PC, except these are yellow and have a picture
of Sonic's head in the middle.

-There are 3 Emblems obtainable from each of the 32 Action Stages,
adding for a total of 96 Action Stage Emblems.

-There are 4 Emblems hidden in each of the 3 Adventure Fields, adding
for a total of 12 Adventure Field Emblems.

-There are 2 Emblems you can get from 5 of the Sub-Games, adding for
 a total of 10 Sub-Game Emblems.

-There is an Emblem hidden at the end of each character's credits
sequence, so you MUST wait out each Ending to receive these last 7
Emblems. (6 characters plus Super Sonic)

-You can receive 1 Emblem from each of the Chao Races, adding for a
total of 5 Chao Race Emblems.

Here's a quick chart you can refer to.
+---------------------------------------------------------------------+
EMBLEMS FROM:                                                TOTAL:
Action Stages                                                    96
Adventure Fields                                                 12
Sub-Games                                                        10
Endings                                                           7
Chao Races                                                        5
-------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL EMBLEMS                                                   130
+---------------------------------------------------------------------+

Let's get started!

================================================
4. Action Stages
================================================

The Action Stage Emblems are the true heart of all the Emblems, as they
compose more than half of all 130. If you've gotten all of these, you
will have no trouble obtaining the rest, as these are by far the most
difficult to get.

You must beat every characters' Action Stages 3 times, each time with a
different goal, to get all of the Emblems. The goals are progressively
more challenging and are known as the C, B, and A Emblems.

-C Emblems are received for beating the Action Stage for the first
 time.

-B Emblems are usually received for beating the Action Stage with 50
Rings (the exceptions being Knuckles and Big).

-A Emblems are usually received for beating the Action Stage under a
set time limit (the exceptions being Big and E-102).

------------------------------
a. Sonic the Hedgehog
------------------------------

Classic Sonic game-play, to say the least. Breeze through the level and
jump on the metal bot-machine at the end.

C = Beat the level
B = Beat the level with 50 Rings
A = Beat the level under the time limit

Emerald Coast-
A Emblem time: 2 minutes
For the A Emblem, run along the side of the wall right after entering
the second section. You have to make it into the tunnel up in the wall
to take a crucial short-cut. Another important short-cut is when you
reach the whole-pipe where you loop three times, run around and jump
over the water to the left of it. Right after that, hit the speed up
and immediately spin-dash up the ramp. Hold hard right to skip a big
chunk of the level. Run up to the spring and continue as usual.

Windy Valley-
A Emblem time: 3 minutes
Use your homing attack near the beginning on the little fan things. In
the Tornado, hold down right after hitting the first spring to get to
the Number Pads quicker. Also, when you are dropping into the third
section of the level, adjust the camera quickly and drop past the first
walkway onto the one below. This one's pretty easy.

Casinopolis-
A Emblem time: 5 minutes
Lose a pinball game to fall into the sewers. Take the straight, then
left path to collect more than 250 rings. Near the end of the garbage
section, use the Light-Speed Dash to get more rings, a shield, and
invincibility. Repeat quickly after dumping. If you get hit in the
sewers, you have to quit the level since the cylinders do not re-
produce.

IceCap-
A Emblem time: 4 minutes
In the big snowy field, immediately go left or down after the camera
change, and Light-Speed Dash on the hill to reach the Number Pads. Warp
quickly to skip the entire first section. Just as you hit the first
point marker, jump off and stay near the wall to skip a little bit of
the level (don't fall all the way to the ground). In the snowboarding
section, take as many ramps as you can to push yourself forward. Make
sure to stay in the center near the end to catch the really good ramps.

Twinkle Park-
A Emblem time: 3 minutes
At the beginning, get into a cart immediately and get out of there. At
the end of the roller-coaster ride, hold Down-Left on the joystick to
avoid falling down the hole. Now backtrack up the roller-coaster track
slowly until you fall down. You should land on a platform. Jump very
far and across towards the courtyard and double-jump to "pop" farther.
Go right to hit the triple-spring. After the last point marker, use the
spring, then jump to the highest platform. Now jump across to the
building on the left. Jump out and around the little fence towards the
left, and then Spin-Dash up the slope. The goal is on the left.

Speed Highway-
A Emblem time: 2 minutes, 30 seconds
After the first point marker run along the side of the building to take
the "high way" ( >;p ). This is really the only major short-cut in this
stage. In the last section, go up the street and turn left when you hit
the main road. Spin-Dash like crazy on the far (right) side of the road
until you hit a spring. Go through the buildings and hit the dash panel
to send yourself flying up the street. Run up to the fountain Spin-
Dashing all the way.

Red Mountain-
A Emblem time: 3 minutes
Take the first rocket and hold right to hit a spring short-cut. After
the second rocket ride, hold up to land next to a spring. Up on the
ledge, immediately run across the bridge. Spin-Dash up the slope to the
right and hit the spring beyond the goodies. After the first tram
ride, cross the bridge that falls apart and cross the short trail of
Bladed Spinners to the Extra Life. Go right and take the number pads.
Right after you get past the tilting platforms, look right and use the
Light-Speed Dash on the trail of rings. Take the rocket immediately to
short-cut to the last tram ride. In the lava section, use the Light-
Speed Dash before the place with the spike-balls and big boxes to
short-cut to the second-last point marker (just take it slowly your
first time through and you should be able to find it).

Sky Deck-
A Emblem time: 5 minutes
At the second point marker don't take the dash panel. Turn right and
cross the Bladed Spinners to a platform. Take the turning crane and
drop onto the next platform, where there is a rocket. After that, jump
to the left to get an Invincibility, which lets you climb the ladder
without bothering with the spike balls. In the vertical section,
Spin-Dash quickly up before the ship tilts to hit the save marker and
spring.

Lost World-
A Emblem time: 4 minutes, 30 seconds
In the snake room, first go all the way around the platform without
raising the water level. Climb up and hit the first door switch there.
Then jump up and hit the water switch. After the last water switch,
roll backwards down the snake to reach the last door switch quickly.
As you arrive in the mirror room you need to jump over the mirrors.
Guess-jump your way through it. After the first right turn, head
straight for a long jump that will short-cut you across to a path that
will skip the turning blocks. At the end you need to Light-Speed Dash.
In the room with the switches and the blue panels on the wall, jump on
either button twice to line up and light up the wall panels on the
right. Run straight up them and onto the lip of the ledge. Walk along
to the left and jump up into the opening in the wall. Wait for the
camera to adjust and Light-Speed Dash after hitting the button that
produces a trail of rings.

Final Egg-
A Emblem time: 4 minutes, 30 seconds
You should have anything under 30 seconds at the second point marker.
You have to use the dash panels in the big rotating rooms to make it
out. If you climb the walls too much, jump off and "pop" to get
farther. Immediately in the second section, jump off the first place as
far as you can go and target the Bladed Spinner to shave off a couple
more seconds. The swinging hammers after the third point marker are
tough. Jump under or over, just don't wait too long. You should make
the fourth point marker with around 2:30 on your clock. Immediately
after the fourth point marker jump off and to the right so that Sonic
is spinning into the circular wall. When you get low enough press (A)
again to pop safely and quickly onto the circular walkway. Run into the
elevator. Next is what I call the "1-Up Room" due to its two 1-Ups, a
Magnetic Shield and four Random Ring Cylinders. Dash through the center
to grab the 1-Up and Shield, and have someone use Tails to hit the
spring in the upper-right-hand corner to nab another life. In the first
Beat room do not roll. Just jump long and far; do NOT Home-Attack. Get
to the ladder quick and climb up. Next is the fifth point marker. Use
the fans quickly and keep on moving. After five sets of fans is the
second Beat room. Jump again to hit the dash panel on the far side of
the room. After the sixth point marker is the big drop. Stay a little
off-center towards the right side of the wall. You'll land on a plat-
form. Quickly use the fans to enter the third Beat room. Jump towards
the right. Spin-Dash through the big room to get to the seventh point
marker. Follow the turn and Spin-Dash past the Egg Keeper. Keep Spin-
Dashing and take a left-right turn to get to the eighth and final point
marker. You need around 10 seconds left to get the A now. Charge up
your Light-Speed Dash in the tunnel before the final room, then run
into the room and jump far and over the Egg Keepers. Do NOT Home-Attack
or you will lose time and end your hopes of getting the Emblem. Jump as
far as you can towards the ring line, still holding your Light-Speed
Dash charged. Let go of (X) in mid-air to Light-Speed Dash. If you fail
you can always select "Restart" from the pause menu and try again from
the last point marker.

------------------------------
b. Miles "Tails" Prower
------------------------------

Tails' game-play is very similar to Sonic's, plus the fact that to beat
the level you not only have to make it to the end alive, but you also
have to make it to the goal ahead of the character you are racing
against. Take advantage of the big green and black dash rings which
float around Tails' Action Stages. These are the air-based equivalent
of dash panels. Use these to get an unfair lead.

C = Beat Sonic (or Robotnik) to the end
B = Beat Sonic (or Robotnik) to the end with 50 Rings
A = Beat an even faster Sonic (or Robotnik)

Windy Valley-
For Tails' A Emblem, jump backwards at the start and fly towards
the walkway on the right. Take the dash rings that are near the first
loop-de-loop, and you'll hit a spring. At the peak of your "bounce"
press and hold (A) to fly up into the air current. After you have hit
the spring there and are hanging in mid-air, press (A) to fly and move
towards the loop-de-loop and dash rings. Once the long row of dash
rings stops, jump over the edge and press (A), then press (X) to
descend faster and land on the final piece of land.

Casinopolis-
For this one there isn't much to say. Just take the straight path in
both of the windy rooms. At the end fly above all the garbage water and
get the Protection Shields along the way.

IceCap-
Nothing but snowboarding makes this level EASY! I'd say the B emblem is
harder than the A emblem in this level due to the high speeds in which
you are moving. For the B emblem, at the beginning of the level, the
first group of rings is on the left, then three groups on the right,
and a group on the left, then two in the center. For the A emblem stay
off the walls and take the ramps.

Sky Deck-
Right before the second point marker there is a platform to the right.
Fly over to it, then fly forwards (after the camera change) to the next
platform with a rocket. After the rocket ride, jump and fly over to the
right, where there is a thin walkway along the wall. Follow this to the
right and hit the dash panel. After climbing the ladder jump over the
monkey bar set and proceed.

Speed Highway-
Robotnik's supposed to be HARD?!?! HAHAHAHAAA! It's almost as funny as
Microsoft boasting that Windows 2000 "doesn't crash"! Operating systems
aren't SUPPOSED to crash, Bill! HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA! **gasp, wheeze**
Well, anyway, from the first moving red and yellow platform jump and
fly to the helicopter pad towards the right to cut off a chunk of this
level. After you take the lone dash ring towards the large circular
building, fly past the building and land on the area with two Cop
Speeders. Take the dash ring and proceed. When you get to the platform
with the rocket on it, don't take the rocket. Instead, run forwards and
fly past the platform onto the building. Run until you reach the last
point marker. Make sure you hit as many of the dash rings as possible.

------------------------------
c. Knuckles the Echidna
------------------------------

Knuckles' game is totally different because instead of rushing to the
end goal, you must find three Emerald Shards to beat his levels. These
can be hidden in obvious places, such as just out in the open, or they
may be hidden in enemies, in certain objects, or underground, where you
must dig them out. Watch Knuckles' "Emerald-Sense" at the bottom of the
screen to track how close you are to a Shard.

C = Find the three Emerald Shards
B = Find the three Emerald Shards without using any Hint Balls
A = Find the three Emerald Shards under 1 minute
    (2 minutes for Sky Deck)

Speed Highway-
A Emblem time: 1 minute

Casinopolis-
A Emblem time: 1 minute

Red Mountain-
A Emblem time: 1 minute

Lost World-
A Emblem time: 1 minute

Sky Deck-
A Emblem time: 2 minutes

**this section is uncompleted and will hopefully be finished by the
 next update

------------------------------
d. Amy Rose
------------------------------

Amy's game is rather similar to Sonic's, as in you must get to a des-
ignated goal. However, there are glaring differences. One is that the
gray machine has been replaced by a big yellow balloon, and second, Amy
controls much much MUCH different from Sonic. The only way to get her A
Emblems is to get very accustomed to her controls. Then getting her A
Emblems becomes easy.

C = Beat the level
B = Beat the level with 50 Rings
A = Beat the level under the time limit

Twinkle Park-
A Emblem time: 2 minutes

Hot Shelter-
A Emblem time: 6 minutes, 30 seconds

Final Egg-
A Emblem time: 2 minutes, 30 seconds

**this section is uncompleted and will hopefully be finished by the
 next update

------------------------------
e. Big the Cat
------------------------------

With Big you have to catch Froggy to beat the level. The tips here are
to make sure you have all four of his Lure Upgrades, and the Power
Fishing-Rod. Cast your lure out in front of the target fish, and tap
(X) or (A) to attract the fish's attention. Once it bites, pull DOWN on
the Analog-Stick to snag it. Now to reel the sucker in. Let the fish
make its initial run. Try to lead it into a wall to stop it. Once your
Tension Meter quiets down, tap (A) slowly and methodically to bring it
in. Whenever the fish starts to run, let it. You don't want to break
your line, do ya?

C = Catch Froggy
B = Catch a 1000 g fish and Froggy
A = Catch a 2000 g fish and Froggy

Twinkle Park-
The only kind of fish here that are A Emblem-worthy are the big, ugly,
hulking robotic fish. You should, as you know, have all four Lure Up-
grades. The fish has to be at least as big as your torso to be 2000 g.

IceCap-
In IceCap the hammerhead is your best friend. A small hammerhead shark
or even a blue shark that looks like Big could hold with one hand are
perfect for the B Emblem. A large-looking hammerhead or a medium-sized
blue shark will do fine for the A.

Emerald Coast-
The marlins, hammerheads, and blue sharks are the easiest here. I don't
generally go for the robotic fish other than in Twinkle Park 'cuz
they're way harder to catch. A teensy-weensy marlin, hammerhead, or
blue shark will be great for the B Emblem. Larger ones are excellent
for the A Emblem. Use the sand-banks to your advantage!

Hot Shelter-
You will find great white sharks only in Hot Shelter. They're the best,
but make sure they're fat as well as large. Since the circular area is
small, make sure the fish doesn't run all the way around the room. Keep
his face mashed into a wall to tire him out.

------------------------------
f. E-102 Gamma
------------------------------

E-102's game is different as his timer counts down, not up. When the
clock reads 00:00:00 you're dead. To get more time, you must destroy
enemies. Target more than one enemy at a time to get more time. Don't
button-mash. It's not good for you.

C = Beat the level
B = Beat the level with 50 Rings
A = Beat the level with more than the time limit

Final Egg-
A Emblem time: 150 seconds (2 minutes, 30 seconds)
For the B Emblem on this you must target the ring cylinders. On the
first turn, jump up and target towards the left. Hopefully, you'll
get some ring cylinders. For the A Emblem, target the largest groups
possible to get more time.

Emerald Coast-
A Emblem time: 180 seconds (3 minutes)
At the beginning of this level go over the water and target all of the
shore to get as many enemies as possible. Then, on the first bridge,
target the Kiki there and jump up to get the ones on the bridge over-
head into your group, also. In the final area, go around the slope and
up the grass. When you get up, target ALL of the Kiki to get plenty of
time.

Windy Valley-
A Emblem time: 150 seconds (2 minutes, 30 seconds)
Meet your friends, the Boa Boas. You can get up to 40 seconds off of
one. That and the 2:30 time limit make this a cinch.

Red Mountain-
A Emblem time: 180 seconds (3 minutes)
At the first big open section, target all of the Kiki and Bladed
Spinners to get lots of time. Before the first point marker, jump up to
get the Kiki on the ledge along with the "HIT!" targets. There are many
4-5 enemy groups in this area that you must take full advantage of to
have a chance at the A Emblem. After you get into the hole and nab the
second and last point marker, just mash (X) or (B) to quickly target
and destroy obstacles in your way. When you are out, immediately shoot
the "HIT!" targets. As the first rock falls, jump, glide, land, and
shoot the third rock's "HIT!" targets. Jump towards the falling rock
and then jump to the last area where E-104 waits.

Hot Shelter-
A Emblem time: 120 seconds (2 minutes)
This one is very simple. Once you get out of the elevator, sweep your
target from right to left to get all the Kiki and the "HIT!" targets.
Move forwards and drop through the door. Press and hold (A) to glide
into the opening in the wall. Get the 1-Up and Magnetic Shield, then
glide across all the way

5. Adventure Fields
================================================

I already told you that there are 4 Emblems in each of the 3 Adventure
Fields. 'Nuff said. However, I was appalled at the lack of research
that went into all of the Emblems guides I had previously read, es-
pecially the sections concerning the Adventure Fields. Even Official
Dreamcast Magazine's guide had horrendous errors and assumptions. This
is the main reason that drove me to writing this FAQ. This section is
the most comprehensive, and at times almost ridiculously info-filled
guide to the 12 Adventure Field Emblems ever created.

Each Emblem has a number and a brief location description at the be-
ginning of each chart. Find the numbers after the charts for detailed
instructions on each YES and some NO's.

#1. In the Train Station across from the big clock. Use Tails to fly up
and Knuckles. Contrary to popular belief, Sonic, Amy, and E-102 CAN get
this Emblem. Climb partly up the stairs and jump up onto a ledge on the
side. Use the thin walkway to make your way to the Emblem. With Amy,
you must jump and run up the stairs and Hammer Flip up onto the ledge.
Tricky.

#2. No surprise here. Go to the second section of Station Square and go
into the Burger Shop. It's on the lower-right corner from the camera's
perspective.

#3. This one is hidden. Enter the Courtyard in the second section of
Station Square. In the patch of grass on your immediate right as you
enter there are four trees. (This patch of grass is opposite the one
that you find the Stone in.) In between these trees, use Tails' Tail
Whip, Knuckles' Punch (strangely the Dig is NOT required; all you do
is Punch), and Amy's Hammer Attack to procure this Emblem.

#4. In the Alley in the Casino section; way up there. Use Tails to fly.
Another assumption here was that Knuckles could climb the walls to get
the Emblem. WRONG! He can't climb the walls in the Alley.

#1. Look from the back of Tails' Workshop and you'll see it. Tails,
Knuckles, and E-102 are easy; just fly and glide. To use Sonic, you
must first charge up the Light-Speed Dash (hold down (X) or (B)). Now
run towards the ledge, still holding the charge. Jump off and press (A)
again to "pop", then release the attack button to Light-Speed Dash
across to the ledge.

#2. This is pretty tricky. Use Knuckles to glide across. It's located
somewhere between the left side of the bridge (when you're NOT on Angel
Island) and the Island. Once you exit the Ice Tunnel cave, jump left
and glide across. This'll probably take a few tries to make it, so make
sure you grab onto a wall if you miss so you don't die. With E-102, you
HAVE to die in order to get this one, as there is no way back up with
his Glide. By the way, Tails can NOT get this one because the door that
leads to this area remains closed throughout his Adventure Quest.

#3. In the Mystic Ruins Rain Forest. Take the mine-cart near the Mystic
Ruins Lake. Now drop down and take the right path at every split (three
right turns). It's near a fallen tree.

#4. First, go to Big's Hut. It's in the Rain Forest, and take every
right turn. Use Tails and Knuckles to fly and climb into the tree. Now
for Sonic it's trickier, but fortunately a crazy guy like me has done
all the research for ya! Get on the base of the tree on the near side
(with your back facing the wall). Jump onto it so that you're
"standing" on it, body pointing upwards. Now Spin-Dash (tap (X)) and
make sure to use LEFT on the Analog-Pad to compensate for the automatic
movement right. If you're lucky, you'll land on a tree branch. Jump to
the other branch and jump into the tree. Isn't doing things the hard
way so much more satisfying?

6. Sub-Games
================================================

There are 2 Emblems obtainable from 5 of the Sub-Games. Most of these
are pretty easy, except for that, quote reader, "#*%$ SAND HILL!!!",
end quote. Here I show you the easiest ways to getting all of these
Emblems.

------------------------------
a. Sky Chase Acts I & II
------------------------------
Press (A), (X), or (B) to shoot down the aircraft coming at you. Hold
down any of the buttons and pass the cross-hairs over enemies to target
them. Release the button the fire homing missiles at them. Make sure
you shoot down as many of the enemies as you can. The first Sonic
Emblem is for completing the Sub-Game, the second for beating a set
high score.
 Sky Chase Act I   =   8000 points
Sky Chase Act II  =  20000 points
(4 Emblems total)

------------------------------
b. Twinkle Circuit
------------------------------
Press (A) to accelerate and (B) to brake. You can also use the (L) and
(R) Triggers to make harder turns. Just a timed race through a futur-
istic amusement roller-coaster ride. Go as slow as you can your first
time through to get the first Emblem. Now beat your easy-to-beat "high"
score to get the second Emblem! Hehehe...
(2 Emblems total)

TRICK: Press (A) right after the screen says "GO!" to blast forward.

------------------------------
c. Sand Hill
------------------------------
Go through as many gates as possible. Every time you pass through a
gate, you get "x1". You must pass through a gate within three seconds
of the last one to get "x2", "x3", etc...multiplying your score with
each gate. If you don't hit one within three seconds of the last one,
you'll start over again at "x1". The first Emblem is received just for
completing the game. The second Emblem is received for beating a high
score of 10000 points. To do this it is ABSOLUTELY necessary that you
do NOT lose your "chain" of gates (skip that one ramp), and that you
beat the game fast enough to receive the 5000 point Time Bonus. Of
course, there's always the hard way... Ever tried hitting that one ramp
over and over and over and over and over...?
(2 Emblems total)

------------------------------
d. Hedgehog Hammer
------------------------------
This is easy. You have to use Amy, in case you're wondering. Use (X)
and (B) to hit the Sonic dolls to get enough points to beat the high
score. Here's the scoring chart.
 Blue Sonic    =   100 points
 Yellow Sonic  =   500 points
 Robotnik      =  -200 points
The strange thing is that beating high scores in Amy's Adventure Quest
will not earn you the Emblems. You must play this game from the Trial
Mode.

7. Endings
================================================

These are easy enough; once you've beaten a character's Adventure Quest
you'll be treated to a high-quality credits sequence complete with that
character's full theme song. At the end of the credits you'll get to
see an ending picture of that character. AFTER that, you'll be awarded
an Emblem and the game will save. There are seven of these: the six
normal characters' Endings...after you've completed all six characters'
Quests, you'll be able to access Super Sonic. Beat the game with him to
see the final ending, and receive the last Ending Emblem.

8. Chao Races
================================================

You need to raise a Chao until its stats are high enough so it can win
the Chao Races. I ain't going into detail on raising Chao, but here's
the vital stuff you need to know about entering.

To enter your Chao in the Chao Races, go to Station Square's Chao
Garden (enter Station Square's Hotel and take the left elevator up). Go
through the big double doors across from the entrance. Jump on the big
red button to pick your Race Options and Chao. Only Jewel will win you
Emblems. Your Chao must come in first to win the Jewel and the Emblem.

Each Race tests certain skills, listed here.

 -The Pearl Course tests strength.
-The Amethyst Course tests running, but high flying ability means an
  awesome short-cut.
-The Sapphire Course tests all-around stats.
 -The Ruby Course tests swimming.
-After winning all four Races, the Emerald Course is available. This
Course is a combination of the Amethyst and Sapphire courses, so
your Chao must be well-trained and rested.

Sometimes a Chao will be randomly chosen by the computer, and will have
white sparkles following it. Now's the chance to blow away the competi-
tion! If it's your Chao, MASH any of the buttons like crazy, but stick
with one button (I use (A)). If it's not your Chao, let the little snot
run for itself. >:) To win Races, your Chao must have stats around 300
or more.

For all you lazy bums out there, the easiest way is to go to the Sonic
Adventure Homepage via the Internet option and go to Community, Chao
Gardens, then Chao Daycare and download a maxed-out Chao (999 in all
stats).
