doesn't work, try something else!  Don't be a helpless baby!
I'm sick of stupid questions.  I know that I sound like a jerk,
but this is really getting annoying...  Before you ask me any-
thing, try to figure it out yourself.  If you still can't get
it, then you can ask me, but tell me what you tried, or I'll
        just delete your message.)

One more thing.  Don't ever, _ever_ come bitching at me like you know
anything.  I will dismiss any stupid comments without even finishing
reading the message.  The notation?  I use this because it's what _I_
like.  Keep in mind, I'm writing 40+ pages to help your ass out.
Anyone who thinks of coming at me without good intentions (corrections,
additions, etc.) can go to fucking Hell.  If I get any more shit, I will
explode.  Okay, then.  Enjoy!  ^_^

It's just a basic keypad on your keyboard.
It's also known as Japanese, or number, notation.
Don't bitch about the number notation.  You get used to it fast, and it's
not as ambiguous as that QCF stuff.

| The POW Charge builds up your energy gauge.  When it maxes out,   |

|_\   System    \__|
  \____________/

The battle system in Capcom vs SNK is much like Street Fighter Zero and
The King of Fighters '96 combined.  Some very striking things about the
fighting engine of this game are the priority on Shorts, the invincibi-
lity of rolls and the weakness of Level One Super Combos.

________
/ Dashing
| There are two types of offensive advancement.  Dashing and running.
| The game starts out with only dashing.  Running is earned later with a
| secret item.  When you tap forward twice, your character will make a
| little hop forward.  During this hop, you cannot control your charac-
| ter, so don't use this maneuver carelessly.  With running, you tap
| forward once, then you hold forward to make the character run.  During
| this time, you are open to attack, but you can stop whenever you want
| by letting go of forward.  If you jump during the run, you get a
| priority jump, instead, just like KoF.  The backwards dash is always a
| hop, no matter what mode you have on (Run or Dash.)

________
/ Rolling
| Wow.  _That's_ invincibility.  It's really crazy.  Unlike KoF, you
| can use the roll at any time to avoid any attack.  You won't get hit.
| Also, there's no backwards roll, just forwards.  I know for most
| people, it really doesn't matter, but it just feels so... incomplete.
| Eh.

____________
/ Guard Crush
| If a character blocks too much, after a while, his or her health bar
| will start flashing red.  This means that in a few more blocks, they
| will be guard crushed.  It really comes _way_ too late.  It's not the
| punishment that it should be for turtlers.

___________
/ POW Charge
| If you are using the SNK Groove, hold Hard Punch and Hard Kick to
| charge up your POW bar.  The longer you hold the buttons, the faster
| it will charge.  There _is_ some start-up lag and a little bit of end
| lag, but no where near as much as there was in KoF.  When the POW bar
| is filled, you can use a Super Move.  During this time, the gauge will
| deplete itself.  Also, during this time, you get stronger.  If you
| achieve MAX POW while your health bar is blinking from low health, the
| Super Moves, which are normally level one intensity, will go up to
| level three.

| Benimaru's new super attack is great.  It's like a comboable      |
|  version of his KoF '99 DM.  Just be sure not to miss with it.    |
|  The recovery time is horrible.                                   |
| He should be Ratio 2.  He's really strong.                        |
| On Raijinken Y, tap Y to delay the attack.  The more you delay it,|
|  the bigger the electric ball will be.                            |

____
/ Ryu
| First seen: Street Fighter
| Version: SFZ3
| Differences: Shin Shouryuuken is based on the SF3 type.  It gets
|               a wider angle on the last punch than before.  Ryu
|               doesn't land fast enough to hit the opponent one
|               more time, as in SF3, with a Hadouken or Shouryuu-
|               ken.

_______
/ Ryu EX
| First seen: Street Fighter Zero 2

| Differences: Ryu EX is Evil Ryu.  He's totally changed in a bad

____________
/ Ken Masters
| First seen: Street Fighter
| Version: SFZ3
| Differences: Shinryuuken seems to have a bigger range when Ken

|               really.  It can't combo.

_______________
/ Ken Masters EX

|              He's still strong.  No flame attacks, though.
|              Somersault Skull Dive doesn't force Vega forward

|              Shou Ou Ken is a rush attack, not an rush into
|               anti-air attack.
|              Shunpuu Kyaku doesn't knock down, but the fi-

|              Dive Kick is a new move.  Sakura falls at an an-

|_\   Stages    \__|
  \____________/

I must say that this game has some of the most outstanding stages ever
to grace a fighting game.  I congratulate Capcom on the backgrounds.
The music, as well, is superb.  I really like it.

_____________
/ Stage of Ryu
| Original Soundtrack: Ryu from Street Fighter 2
|                      [Pretty good.  Certainly a classic track.]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Fist Explosion
|                      [I like this song.]
| Description: This stage is in front of a big wall with a bridge mer-
|               ging the two sides of a river.  There are firey lanterns
|               on both sides of the stage.  This all takes place at
|               night.

_______________
/ Stage of Sagat
| Original Soundtrack: Sagat from Street Fighter 2
|                      [One of the most awful tracks I've ever heard in
|                      my life.]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Naked Blow
|                      [Nothing special.]
| Description: Keeps the Sagat tradition with the statue.  This time, it
|               is really bright outside and there's a lot of yellow and
|               orange.  Good stage, but not great.

_____________________
/ Stage of Final Fight
| Original Soundtrack: Final Fight from Final Fight
|                      [Bleagh!]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Needle
|                      [This is a pretty cool rap.  I doubt it'll be in
|                      the US release because of some lyrics.]
| Description: I really like this stage.  It has some great shadow
|               effects and there's just so much variety in the stage.

________________
/ Stage of CAPCOM
| Original Soundtrack: Opening from Street Fighter 2
|                      [Another classic, and it's still a very mediocre
|                      song.]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Keep My Fire
|                      [Coolness.  It fits the stage and the fight.]
| Description: That fire looks really great.  And it lights up the
|               backs of the characters.  They get a little yellow out-
|               line.  Coolness.

_______________
/ Stage of OSAKA
| Original Soundtrack: ??
| Arranged Soundtrack: o-s-a-k-a
| Description: This stage is cool.  Could use a little more animation
|               when you consider all the people in the background.
|               Night would have been a nice touch, but it's still a
|               lively stage.

_______________
/ Stage of Terry
| Original Soundtrack: Terry from Garou Densetsu Special
|                      [Um, yeah...]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Higher and Higher
| Description: I really like this stage.  It doesn't repeat and you see
|               the other train for a really long time.  Then you see
|               these incredible plains and cliffs.  Great!  ^_^

_____________________
/ Stage of Paopao Cafe
| Original Soundtrack: ??
| Arranged Soundtrack: Sonic Party
| Description: That dragon is really great.  There's virtually no ani-
|               mation, but it's still cool.  I like the look of the
|               cafe after all of these years.  It got really classy. :)

__________________
/ Stage of Sakazaki
| Original Soundtrack: ??
| Arranged Soundtrack: Scrap Beats
|                      [This song seems out of place to me.]
| Description: Notice as you and your opponent hit each other and fall
|               to the floor, the building starts to come apart.  Also,
|               notice the Rival Schools characters in the background,
|               and the Son Son store from Street Fighter Zero.

_____________
/ Stage of SNK
| Original Soundtrack: Esaka from The King of Fighters '94
|                      [I guess I like this song.  It's not as good as
|                       the KoF '98 remix, but it's still great.]
| Arranged Soundtrack: B. B
|                      [Cool stuff.]
| Description: One of the better stages.  The sky is dark, it's raining,
|               it's on the outside of an arcade, but you _can_ go
|               inside.  There's even automatic doors that open for you.

______________
/ Stage of Vega
| Original Soundtrack: Vega from Street Fighter 2
|                      [Hey, a cool SF2 song!! I like!]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Sign
|                      [Eh, sort of repetitive]
| Description: Vega's secret lair, complete with a projection of your
|              fighter in the center of the stage.  Looks a lot like the
|              MotM stage.

_______________
/ Stage of Geese
| Original Soundtrack: Geese Howard from Garou Densetsu
|                      [...]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Vigor Force
|                      [This song is sort of weird...]
| Description: Looks like a mix of the Garou Densetsu stage and the Real
|               Bout 2 stage.

__________________
/ Stage of Morrigan
| Original Soundtrack: Deserted Chateau from Vampire
|                      [It's okay.]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Deserted Chateau Remix
|                      [Not too great.]
| Description: A hall in a big mansion.  There are colored lights
|               flashing outside.  Nothing to do with Morrigan~.  :/

__________________
/ Stage of Nakoruru
| Original Soundtrack: Nakoruru from Samurai Spirits
|                      [...]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Silent Hill
|                      [...]
| Description: I like this stage.  It's really pretty.  Notice the
|               village wa~y down there.

_________
/ Stage of
| Original Soundtrack: Geese Howard from Garou Densetsu
|                      [...]
| Arranged Soundtrack: Vigor Force
|                      [This song is sort of weird...]
| Description: Looks like a mix of the Garou Densetsu stage and the Real
|               Bout 2 stage.
