Version 1.0  (02/28/05):  Initial version of document - it's complete.

=============================================================================
    2. Introduction
=============================================================================

The title is sort of like Keystone Kapers in that they messed with the first
letter of every word. However, Keystone Kapers is a more enjoyable experience
than Wabbit simply because Wabbit is very difficult and tedious. Even on the
easy difficulty, it's very hard to even HIT the rabbits to score points.
While Wabbit might seem like an interesting title, it lacks in so many
categories it's not even funny.

    3. Dedication
=============================================================================

I dedicate this guide to all Atari 2600 gamers out there. They really keep
this system alive, even though it seems "dead." Atari 2600, in a lot of
people's minds, was the first gaming console ever created. This really isn't
true, as there were other obscure systems before it. However, this was most
people's first video game system - this is the system that brought them into
gaming. And so, I dedicate this guide to the Atari 2600 gamers that still
play this old system and keep it alive.

This guide is also dedicated to Brian P. Sulpher and AboveAverage. Where did
you go, AboveAverage? You told me which system to write for! And of course,
Brian taught all of us that you can write billions and billions of guides for
old games.

Wabbit is fairly self-explanatory game. Rabbits will run out of their holes
and try to get carrots, which are on the lines above. Once they have the
carrot, they will scurry back to their hole and the carrot will be lost. It
is your job to hit the rabbits before (or after) they get the carrot.

However, we aren't armed with a gun or anything. In fact, we're armed with
rotten eggs! Combined with the fact that a little girl is throwing the eggs,
and you have yourself a difficult game. She throws surprisingly fast, though,
but it still takes a long time for the eggs to reach the back row.

So, while the rabbits are quickly getting eggs, it's your job to blindly hit
them with your eggs. At first, it will be almost impossible to hit them
because they run out so fast and are on the back rows. As the game
progresses, though, you can snipe for the last carrot and rack up a lot of
points.

Speaking of points, you get five for hitting a rabbit and ten for hitting a
rabbit that has a carrot. The number of rabbits and speed of the little girl
flucuate as per the game that you play. In some games, you have to face two
rabbits, while in others you have the privilege of only facing one.

The worst game, though, is when the girl goes slower than the rabbits. In
this instance, it's VERY hard to kill the rabbits because of their speed and
the speed you lack. In this case, it's all about sniping on the last carrot.
That's the way you play Wabbit.

=============================================================================
    6. Strategies
=============================================================================

Bust-a-wabbit.

 *  Stay put and snipe at the rabbits. In the beginning, you'll want to stay
    on the sides because they won't go to the center to get carrots. As the
    game progresses, try to snipe certain carrots to get fast points.

 *  The rabbits pick at the sides before they go to the middle.

 *  Don't move the little girl too much - you're not in any danger.

 *  Throw an egg before the rabbit is in your "hit" view. This is because it
    will take a few seconds for the egg to reach the column, and along with
    the rabbit constantly moving, you should throw it quite a little ways
    before the rabbit is directly north of you.

 *  Line up your back row shots with care; it takes quite a bit of practice
    before you can measure the time it takes to reach the row and the
    rabbit's speed together.

 *  If you feel lost at any time, randomly shoot eggs on one the side of the
    row while you think of a good place to snipe.

 *  The endgame is where Wabbit picks up. Sniping at one carrot for an hour
    because the rabbit takes the *exact* same path to get to that carrot was
    never more enjoyable. If you can, try to snipe the rabbit when he *has*
    the carrot to get more points. Don't get too risky, though, and get his
    pattern down to get the carrot before you try to let him have it.

 *  You get five points for hitting a rabbit and ten for hitting a rabbit
    with a carrot.

 *  The bottom row is really the only row that you can safely shoot the
    rabbits without worrying about the speed of the egg and the rabbit. Try
    to defend the bottom rows at all costs.

 *  If all else fails, mash the fire button as fast as you possibly can on
    one side - you will hit a rabbit soon enough. ;)

 *  With three rabbits, the mash button strategy actually works quite well,
    considering the rabbits will take the carrots very fast in threes. You
    *can* run randomly with three rabbits - it won't matter because rabbit
    fills up most of the rows.

 *  Don't ever play Wabbit on the harder difficulty unless you want to make
    things really tough. The girl runs slow on the harder difficulty.

 *  There are thirty carrots per level and ten rows - so it's three carrots
    per row.

 *  The game ends when the rabbits get one-hundred points. The rabbit's
    score goes down by twenty-five every one-hundred points you get.

    7. Frequently Asked Questions
=============================================================================

Question: What do you get for hitting a rabbit?
 Answer: Points, of course. Five for hitting a rabbit without a carrot and
         ten for hitting a rabbit with a carrot.

Question: Why am I never hitting the rabbits!?
 Answer: The rabbits are sneaky, little creatures that run fast, making them
         hard to hit for anyone who plays the game.

Question: How many rabbits per level?
 Answer: It depends on the game difficulty - you can try to defend against
         one, two, or three rabbits.

Question: How many carrots per level?
 Answer: Thirty carrots per level. Three are on each of the ten levels.

Question: Is there any way to make Billy Sue run faster?
 Answer: Not that I know of - holding the fire button does nothing.

Question: How many players can play?
 Answer: Two people.

Question: When did this game come out?
 Answer: 1982.

Question: Who created this game?
 Answer: Apollo.

Question: My game doesn't work, how do I get it to work!?
 Answer: You might have a corrupted version of the game, or perhaps the old
         2 K version, which doesn't work very well.

Question: Where can I get this game?
 Answer: The Atari 2600 hasn't had any new games made for years, so you
         can't buy it from them. You can get the game at a garage sale or
         ebay, if you like. ROMs also work, if you have the game and it is
         broken, that is. I'm sure Activision made one of their "five hun-
         dred games-in-one," too, and you get one from them.
