Paragraph   7  has  important  journalism  in it.   This  is
paragraph 0.

Self-consciously, I looked at pre-trained diffusion model AI
generating  what we will call Tolkein influenced  solo adult
pictures.   They're formulaic  plain memorised  adult  model
pictures  with faces a la the Final Fantasy: Advent Children
movie pasted over living people.

All  that  has really  happened  is the  way  deep  learning
training data legally erases intellectual  property  rights,
as    we   expected.     The   rest   might   as   well   be
Case-Based-Reasoner   modifications  to recipes.  Substitute
KALE for CHARD but with the mediums of lighting, colors, and
pasted 3D anime expressions.

My impression though is that this is enough.

The history  of Japanese  anime  is a good  set of wikipedia
articles,   or was sometime.   In so many words,   Hollywood
anticompetitively undercut Japanese cinema to get rid of it.
Anime evolved;   a collection  of art techniques  that  made
moving-ish composite pictures ultra-cheap to produce. It was
so cheap Hollywood  could not undercut it out of business in
favor of their celebrity faces.

A serendipitous  knock-on  was that the cheap entry  barrier
for creating anime showcased incredibly  gifted writing that
is forever locked out from Hollywood's financial megalith.

Graphical  art is now free of value;  it will take  a little
while   to  become  cheap  enough  for  personal   computers
(considering  ownership  having your signature  pre-training
model). Imagine computers that can beat you at chess.

Original authorship on the other hand AI has no evidence of.
I   am  directly   aware  that  NZ  Crown  Businesses    are
aggressively replacing business writing and planning with AI
fixups of incoherent off-the-cuff  wishlists by a small pool
of senior c-suite facing staffers.  This business success is
analogous  to pasting  different faces over exploited  model
photos.

Human  adaptation  of AI generated  code has been  found  to
produce  higher  confidence  in more  problematic   programs
(arxiv link in one of my shows from Clarissa).  Every  prose
writer I read feels unthreatened  as similar openai products
try  typical   Pick Up Artist  verbiage  for a  while   then
collapse under weight of their own invention.

Every  generalisation  of authorhood  shows  this  immunity.
Cat's phr34k angel glory, @[email protected] 's surreality,
jns'  ascii movie stills.   Even subtle internet  memes.   I
believe Tom Ellard, @[email protected]  of  Severed
Heads has said the same for generated  music (which I second
for the rest of our community's music).  Writers Ino, mhcat,
anna, all.

Happy day for us of the gopher.
