I got one unsmiling local opinion that this particular situation
gets me murdered. I don't think it is likely, but I see where they
were coming from.
It seems like a few different people felt my writing was
specifically about them. While I will not expose sources, every
point in that clumsily written local news had three or more
distinct local examples and no counterexamples. So if it described
someone, it is because they are part of a trend.
It would be nice if the NZ government turned on a dime and my last
post stopped being accurate and relatable to so many government
employees and contractors, but the point of top-down despotism
enforced by hoards of ununiformed police is not to facilitate
change.
And while different people holding hands and singing union songs
together is the revolution I want, we need climate revolution front
and centre and now.
This is revolutionary in NZ because 100% of our government is about
stopping anything from ever changing. The people on top keep making
money exactly as they are and have been, and nothing is ever
allowed to change and the government informant and enforcer
employees make sure of it. This is the face of NZ's world-scale
environmental destruction for the last hundred years.
It does not make sense to talk about how much of the money
businesses got by destroying the world and humanity they get to
keep. This idea is to steal gross profit when the net is so deeply
in the red there is not enough money in the world to break even.
We- you and I, dear reader, have a few advantages. We can use
powerful computing systems not being beholden to profit-from-trash
confusion, the oil drilling of humanity itself.
We do not pour oil on the fires of bigotry and fear of not
maintaining the status quo. The status quo being looming collision
with the sun, so the middle class whose claim to own the entire
world enforced by their paramilitary ununiformed police will remain
unchallenged until the other kind of heat death thereafter.
