I recently spent some time trying to really learn about neovim, and how it is different from vim. I spent time learning how to configure it, and how to extend it with the proper plugins. I've been using it just the same as vim, and hadn't really noticed any differences, but the time was well spent and now I grok it a lot better. It's funny to geek out on a text editor again...
