BaseLibre Numerical System - Part 0

For the last few years, I have been fascinated with a tool for calculation, called "abacus". This led me to the creation of the BaseLibre numerical system.
After much experiment, and after many drafts, I am now settling with the Chinese Abacus. This abacus type is probably the most ancient today, and I now see why this, in my opinion, is the original abacus (that the East part of the World has given with to us).
This BaseLibre numerical system derives from studying the abacus, and suits well for Logic and for abacus calculation. In fact, I have discovered that today's Math lacks much logic.
## Base
The BaseLibre numerical system starts at the Base. And this Base is free (libre), which means, the Base does not have a word, or a symbol, that represents it. I call it Base, and you can call it too, but there is no number that represents this Base.
After Base, comes the following symbols/numbers:
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
These symbols are the symbols that are used to represent numbers. These symbols are the numerals of the BaseLibre numerical system.
## Numerals meaning and translation
In the BaseLibre numerical system, the 0 has the same meaning of the number 1 of the Decimal system. The BaseLibre 1 corresponds to the Decimal 2. The BaseLibre 2 corresponds to the Decimal 3. And so forth.
This applies to either the BaseLibre positive numbers, either the BaseLibre negative numbers. So -0 is different from +0.
The Base, which does not have a number to represent it, also does not have a number sign prefix (of course!).
## My opinion
The BaseLibre numerical system has bought me a better mentality, and got me more in touch with my centre. Not having a symbol, or a representation, for the Base of a numerical system, gives me a whole new mindset.
Also, for have being starting to count on 0, instead of starting to count on 1.

Negative Questions

I have written a book, in Portuguese, where I give solutions to this problem. You may have not, yet, realized yourself, that people commonly reply wrongly to negative questions. This article explains, how to deal with negative questions.
## What is a negative question?
A negative question is a question that has a "no", or a "not". For example, "Don't you like this?".
## Reply to negative questions
Some people, when confronted with a negative question, normally reply incorrectly to this type of question. Let me give you an example.
With the question, "Didn't you drink water?", a common person may reply "No.", referring to "I didn't drink water". Which is wrong. The question was in the negative, so, to say that you have not drunk water, you reply with a "Yes, I didn't drink water.". "Yes." to the "Didn't/Did *not*" in the question.
When the question is in the negative, and you didn't do what the action in the question is referring to, you reply "Yes.". When the question is in the negative, and you did do what the action in the question is referring to, you reply "No.". Taking the question above, you correctly reply saying "No, I did drink water.".
## Questions with double negative
You may live in an English-speaking country where there are a lot of double negatives. Here is how to deal with double negating questions.
If the question is "Didn't you do nothing?", if you didn't do a thing, you say "No, I did nothing.". If you did do something, you reply "Yes, I did something." or "Yes, I did everything.", accordingly.
The double negatives, for example "not" plus "nothing", invalidate each other, resulting in no negative.

<title>On Mindfulness</title>

On Mindfulness

I think I understand why the word "Mindfulness" for such a practice and such branch of knowledge.
I have been, in the past, a practitioner of "Mindfulness" meditation, and have always been curious about the word "Mindfulness". It seemed that the practice focused more on "emptiness", rather than "fullness". So, I always wondered "Why that word?", "Why there is 'ful' in 'Mindfulness'?".
Today, I came to this conclusion:
There is too much focus on entities/concepts in our today world. In a way, this can be considered as an obsession for things that have limits. It is an obsession for "things" and for "limits". For things that have a beginning and an end.
What is discarded in our today world, with this obsession, is (you guessed) things without limits. Such as streams (moving rivers, for example), infinite fields (space, for example), etc.
So, "Mindfulness" is about to fill your mind with "space", the most important (and very much a neglected) "thing". And space is not a thing, if you really think about it.
Space does not have limits. But my mind does have limits, like myself does. This is why my mind can become full. Hopefully with space, from now on.

Being this Internet log new, I have some pending thoughts (some are theories) to write about. I have to go deep into each of these, in order to write proper articles. So, here I will be writing the topics of these upcoming articles, so that I may not get stray away, and not get lost in this path of thought.
The general topics I will be writing are:
* The different numerical system that I am beginning to use
* My work with the abacus, my discoveries, and the new basic Math operation
* The lack of neutral in the Portuguese language, and the advantage points this has (talk about time, and the lack of neutral in thought)
* The mentality of extinguishing concepts
* Talk about birth (full) and death (empty)
and maybe I will talk a bit about the Portuguese book that I have written, named "Falar com Valor" (available online), and its topic.

Well, this is common knowledge. Here is my story...
I have decided that I wanted to stop killing mosquitos while I sleep. In a way, I was curious to know what most mosquitos want with my face. I noticed that rarely I get bitten in the face (mostly I am bitten on other parts of my body).
So, I started allowing mosquitos to land on my face, besides the annoying noise that mosquitos do while flying. I guess this annoyment is what leads most people into wanting to kill mosquitos. So... I did allow mosquito landing. This was what happened...
While, most of the time, mosquitos do not bite me when they land on my face, it gets pretty nerve racking, me thinking "You bastard want to suck my blood"; but, most times, this is false. After some time, I cannot last long, and I usually do gently push the mosquito away.
Notice that I am talking mosquito in the singular, because I believe that by now, I can already distinguish if is the same mosquito visitor, or if is a new mosquito. Most of the time is the same mosquito... Until a cat eats that mosquito.
I have also killed mosquitos, in the past, something that I have stopped doing now.
So, in a way, I have made Peace on the Human-Mosquito relationship. Somehow, this shows that fear is not so strong, even human's irrational mosquito fear.
Let's improve the Human-Mosquito relationship, since Human_Society-to-Human_Society relationship is not getting much improvement, lately.

Different Existence
===================
Existence is a person's temporal environment and a person's current perception. If something has happened, it existed. If something can (now) be seen, it exists.
"Self" can barely be seen (except with mirrors). So, does "self" exists? %-P . Is "self" meant to exist for a person?
.. some questions without (my) answers :-) .
Now. I am going to be tricky... What does exist? What is existence?
Be aware of this question :-) . I am unsure how to solve this. And I think I would need a lot of *space*, to solve this :-) .
To the juicy stuff... :-) ...
I would love our culture to know that we live inside *di*versity; that the *uni*versity is a word that eludes. To know things are different, diverse; so existence is also different (for each). Therefore, only different existence exists.
It is a very sane mindset to think of *di*ference, instead of *uni*form. Think *Di*verse, instead of *Uni*verse.
