# My current hardware
My current hardware setup is a 2022 desktop from
[Linux Now](
https://www.linuxnow.com.au/) in Melbourne.

You can and should also
[run Gentoo on your phone](../installing-gentoo-android-chroot/article.md).
Combine your phone with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and you have a
full-on portable workstation. Your desktop will be much more powerful
than your laptop, at half the price.

- AMD B650 Mainboard
- 4GB NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650. Yes, proprietary blob drivers are in
use.
- 32GB DDR5 4800Mhz (2x16GB) RAM
- 1TB WD Blue SN570 M.2 SSD
- 23.6in 1920x1080 16:9 LCD Monitor
- Filco Majestouch-2, Tenkeyless keyboard
Software-wise, it is running [Gentoo Linux](
