Day 4
------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I got to see more family I haven't seen for a while,
including my cousin and her children. Also stumbled across a swarm
of burnett moths amongst the lavendar.

Being away, I haven't done much computing yet. I've caught up on
Mastodon notifications for my .social account via the scripts (I
haven't got my TopSpicy.social account set up with them yet)
though.

Tennis is on in the background - it's the time of year for
Wimbledon! Jabeur and Sabalenka are fighting a really close match,
on their 5th/final set...

Trying to connect to the #OldComputerChallenge IRC channel for the
first time since my preparatory period and it just seems to be
hanging for some reason? Not sure why. I quit and reconnected and
it then mostly worked. Good to see so many people engaging with the
challenge. At the moment I write this, there are 70 people on the
channel!

Emails are still mostly working on mutt.

Wimbledon match is nearing the end seemingly - there have been 2
failed match points from Jabeur but Sabalenka is still hanging in
there... Sorry, my tech blog has barely begun and it's degenerating
into a Tennis blog!

(And Jabeur just won on the 5th match point, to get into the final!
Very close.)

Family are gathering again, so I should probably wrap up this blog
entry.

## Updated to add:

I forgot to mention that last night, I discovered that Twitter had
finally either deleted my account or finally blocked the 3rd-party
client I use(d) (only 6 months or so since they said they would!)
so, with them making it login-to-view now, means I guess I'm off
that platform for good now and won't be able to communicate with
any friends I still had there who hadn't made the jump; which is
sad, but a new chapter, I guess. Also, I should probably write at
some point about how much I love this keyboard! The older the
laptop, the better the keyboard, or so I've found, and this one is
a beauty! After the challenge, I'll see about uploading photos of
this computer.
