The History of the Creation of Local Industrial Works Chat
The Local Industrial Works Chat script is a logical
continuation of the Local Industrial Portal. However, unlike
the portal, this script has never been used anywhere by
anyone. For many years, it remained unfinished and
forgotten, as I was expelled from the production environment
for which this chat was developed. I pondered for a long
time whether to complete this script or not. But observing
people's interest in the minimalist and frankly glitchy
Local Industrial Portal, I decided to finish this project,
as I am convinced that the Local Industrial Works Chat is
much simpler and better.
The task I faced while developing the Local Industrial Works
Chat was similar to that of the Local Industrial Portal. It was
necessary to create a script for communication among employees
scattered across a large manufacturing complex, working on very
old computers or industrial systems, ranging from Windows 95
to Windows Vista.
This script is primarily intended for communication within the
production network. It includes a local mail system, and unlike
the Local Industrial Portal, the mail does not self-delete after
being read. The chat also features a wall with pagination for
posting announcements and work messages. Additionally, upon
entering, there is some statistics available, and the script is highly
customizable.
I do not recommend modifying the source code, as I started
working on the script back in 2017, and I have frankly forgotten
many things. Therefore, I advise changing only those settings
specified in my instructions.
