raspi-config
Sunday Nov 20 3:09:59 2016
A year ago or so, when I upgraded from 'stretch' to 'jessie' on my
raspi I did it the hard way, I mean, instead of following the
instructions on a website, I managed to image the system, resize the
partition and create my home directory in my main desktop. I also
edited /etc/hostname and even /etc/network/interfaces and
/etc/timezone by hand. Then I plugged in the sd card in my raspi and
everything worked out of the box as expected.
Well, there is something wrong with my raspi after using it 24/7 for
almost four years. I constantly lose connection to the system. I have
tried to use a brand new sd card to no avail. I think I need a new
raspi.
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that this time I used a tool that
comes with raspbian which is called *raspi-config* it certainly comes
in handy when it comes to do all the operations I mentioned above
including the configuration of the locales.
I must seriously remember to use this handy tool next time.
Now it is time to order a raspi 3. See you...
