mkphlog 0.7 released
Thursday Jan 30 10:27:40 2014
Today Chris Yealy (octotep) has released mkphlog v.0.7. I'm basically
writing this post to try this new version. And I must say it works
fine as far as I can tell.
This new release does not include new features but it does include
several minor bug fixes which make the script more robust.
I am a huge fan of mkphlog because it makes the process of writing
new phlog posts a blast so it makes me want to publish new stuff more
often than I would if I had to do all the process manually.
It is fast, it is efficient and it creates posts in a very elegant
way. It creates the posts inside directories, which is great if you
want to include attachments to your posts, like for example pictures,
drawings or similar stuff.
Another of the features that I like is that with mkphlog you can
transform regular text files into phlog posts. This is to say, you
can write your phlog post in a text file, maybe offline or even in
your phone. Once you have finished writing it, you can let mkphlog do
the magic and transform it into a phlog post. This is really awesome
and it works great.
Thanks to mkphlog I'll continue posting forever!
