gopher server on a raspi
Thursday Dec 27 10:38:44 2012
I received my raspi last week. I had been waiting for it for so long
that the happiness of getting it was a little bit eclipsed by the
wait. However, it turned out to be an extraordinary and useful toy.
It is at the same time, a low end server suitable for a local network
or even the net. I installed several servers: ssh, ftp, http and of
course a gopher server.
Being a debian system it had to be pygopherd, even if it is not
maintained upstream anymore, it is still part of the debian
distribution, so I took the easy way of doing things.
I must admit that I am really, really excited about all the
possibilities of my raspi. I hope to make the best of it.
