# Water

We had a tough night yesterday - and thank god it all happened on a
Saturday, so we had time to sleep this morning.

We have a really old dishwasher in our kitchen which we plan to
replace with a new one. Currently we do not even use it, but somehow
one day it came to life on its own. First we did not realize where the
noise comes from. After it was clear that the dishwasher started
itself, we were forced to pull the plug as the thing wasn't even on.
As I mentioned it is old and has a physical push button to start it.
Which has not been pushed and pushing it repeatedly did not have any
effect on the machine.

After pulling the plug we checked the interiors of it and we did not
see any water so closed its door and left it alone. Yesterday my wife
saw water seeping out below the baseboard of the kitchen cabinets. So
we removed the baseboard and saw a puddle behind it. OK, let's clean
that up, but where did it come from? First we suspected the fridge,
but then opened the dishwasher the bottom of which was full of water.
How on earth did it get there? Did we just not see it the last time?
But it was a lot! I don't know, but we had to clean the dishwasher
too.

Even before that I was already pissed as we bought a TomTom GPS and I
wanted to update the maps on it. I created an account, but it just
kept saying that that it lost connection to the server halfway through
the download. I was about to give up when my wife entered with the
news that there is water in the kitchen where it does not belong...

Oh, and the roller shutter strap gave up on one of the windows and the
maestro broke the tap in the toilet when replacing the water meters...
Otherwise everything is all right...
