Last week out of the blue I received a mail from my mother that she's
been admitted to the hospital and we should not worry. I called her
immediately. She felt pain in her arm and back and was just really
unwell.

As it turned out it was caused by coronary artery disease, so they did
a catheterization but told her that she needs a coronary artery
bypass. The surgery was scheduled for this Wednesday, Apr 17th. We
were
on edge the whole day as the doctors finished at half past 9 in the
evening, so I only got the info from my father the next morning that
everything went well. A minor complication was that they had to use
both legs for harvesting suitable blood vessels.

Today she has been almost completely freed from all the tubes and
could even sit up and stand. She even sent a couple of mails, but
according to my father she has some minor issues with speaking (which
I also had after my surgeries).

Mater, fac quam primum convalescas!
