Happy new year... eventually

At the start of the first lockdown last year, I was meaning to write many
more posts and generally do all the things I'd been intending to do for the
last few years. However, in common with a lot of other people, most of my to-do list
appears to still be intact. In fact, it looks like I've not posted to here since last
March. That's crazy!
Some things have changed however. The most positive and important thing for
me is that I've changed jobs, moving from Forcepoint to the ONS (Office for
National Statistics). This is a completely different working environment
with a very different tech stack and a very interesting set of new
challenges. This move was, in part, made possible by the increasing
adoption of remote working due to COVID-19 restrictions (I'm still living in Reading so the commute to
Newport would otherwise grow a little tedious).
As such happy new year (I guess I can still say that this far into
January?) and hopefully I'll get round to posting something more soon. Who
knows, may be I'll actually start getting through my to-do list.
